Far off, nestled in an otherwise small Japanese town lies the Dark Gate Academy. An institution of tremendous size, the Academy holds a long kept secret. Unknown to the outside world, this unseemly town is home to a tear in our reality. A gate between our world and a bizarre dimension known as the Darkworld. The inhabitants of this hellish world breach this gate and attempt to flood into our reality and spread throughout the world on a regular basis. However, the Dark Gate Academy is home to students of truly extraordinary abilities. The ability to sense the presence of these evil Darkworld creatures, and defeat them in combat, sending them back through the gate.

They cannot close the rift between our world and the Darkworld, but the students and staff of Dark Gate Academy have dedicated their lives to using their amazing powers to hold back the darkness that plagues our world, even if it costs them their lives. They have risen up to the challenge and in secret have become great heroic defenders of the world as we know it.

For many years, Dark Gate Academy has held back the forces of the Darkworld, kept this unspeakable evil contained within their walls. But a dark cloud approaches, and times are about to change. A new chapter in the tale of Dark Gate Academy is about to begin.

“In and out, Kid. No longer than the length of a drink.”

The grey-haired Wolf pats you on the back and smiles as you stand outside the bar. He's always had a strange kind of faith in you.

Kid... your name for the last five years. Formerly Gado Nemoto, you lost your parents in a fire... ballistic fire. Just one of the many casualties of wartime. You miraculously survived, escaping the wreckage, but it was a solid week before you were taken off the streets. A wandering mercenary group found you, their leader taking pity, and decided to take you along with them. Even at eight years old, you were hesitant. But what else could you do? Where else could you go? You took a chance on the grey-haired Wolf that wanted to raise you. And that was how you became a member of The Beasts of Fortune.

Of course, they didn't just let you join the mercenary group right then. You were eight years old and had never handled a weapon. No, they spent the last four years training you up before Wolf even felt remotely comfortable with you holding a gun or a sword. Sure, you were always tall for your age, and by puberty you had already managed to cut a somewhat imposing figure, but you were still just a kid no matter how you looked. You needed training in the ways of the blade and the ways of the... filling people with lead. To their surprise, you took well to both, and by age twelve, you were considered more than capable to hold your own during assignments. You went from being the group's shared child to a proper member... though they still call you Kid. Sure, the group goes by animal naming convention, and sure a kid is a type of animal... but you still know how they see you.

You make your way to the entrance of the bar, as you are stopped by the man out front. “Hang on,” he mutters. “No underage kids allow-”

The man stops in his tracks as Bear, the largest of your companions, simply stares at him. “Uhh... you know what? Go on ahead, just don't buy anything,” the man clears his throat, worried for his own life.

You step inside the seedy tavern, and even the music inside gives a vague air of tension. The bar lies close to the borders between the Rubi and Safaia regions. The patrons are a mix of the Rubi people, and their recent invaders. In the corner, a small patrol of Safaia soldiers, proudly displaying their allegiance to Zenko Ugaki. All it takes is one wrong word or a look in the wrong direction, and things will kick off. Of course, things kicking off is your intention. That patrol is your target.

Wolf makes his way to the bar and orders a drink. That's the signal to the rest of the group to move as fast as you can... if you aren't finished the task by the time he finishes his drink, he's gonna be real disappointed.

“Head up, stay alert,” Pony whispers in your ear. One of the team's snipers, Pony earned his name from a rather simple place... he's pretty and all the women want a ride. And he's never been shy about his popularity with the opposite sex. Almost all his free time is consumed by it, yet when he's in the field he's an out-and-out professional.

“I think we should engage firing right away,” Weasel adds. Always the coward of the group, Weasel also earned his name for being jittery and hyperactive. “Think about it, guys. I know we have the whole duty to engage them, but we can just draw our weapons here, bing bang boom, they're gone!”

“Shut up, you'll draw attention to us,” the other sniper Snake is clear to point out. “Besides, we're not here to start the fight. Our client hired us to intimidate the soldiers, and only resort to violence if they draw their weapons first. You never betray your client.”

Those words mean a lot to Snake, considering the client is the one person he won't betray. Snake is even newer to the crew than you are, though he's much more experienced. He turned his back on a rival mercenary crew, even taking out some of their members, in order to join Wolf. Hence his own name, one he often takes umbrage with. While you can laugh off your demeaning name, you can see that it clearly bothers Snake.

Your group make their way over to the table of Safaia soldiers, as Pony takes the lead in addressing them. “You people are part of the battalion lead by General Aoki, aren't you?”

“Yes,” one of the soldiers answer. “We work under the general, and in the name of the great leader Zenko Ugaki!”

“Alright, calm the patriotism pal,” Weasel remarks. “We really don't give a crap.”

“And just who do you think you are?” the soldier asks.

“We're here to tell you to stop harassing the Rubi villagers,” Pony explains. “Countless instances of you and your patrols attacking innocents, stealing from the poor and starving, and worst of all, burning the houses of innocent families. Killing innocent men, women and children. This is already an unjust battle, but there stands nothing more unjust than that. It ends now.”

The soldier scoffs. “And you're going to make us? What are you, some kind of freedom fighter?”

“No. We're good men, nothing more.”

The soldier rises from his chair, and throws the first punch. Things kick off from there, and as the enraged Bear gets involved, things get very bloody, very quickly. A knife to the jugular and a snapped neck later, and Bear has taken out two soldiers within a couple seconds. Weasel goes to hit one below the belt, neglecting their armour and getting a smack across the face for it, leaving Snake to pick up the slack. While pony throws the first soldier across the bar, another comes rushing towards you. It's close quarters, so firing off a gun could be dangerous, could hurt civilians... so you go for your sword instead, drawing the long blade and readying it for the fight to come.

>Rolled 85

The soldier comes at you, but appears to be underestimating your ability, taking you for little more than a foolish teen. You draw your sword, and handily slice across his stomach. He falls to his knees, clutching the wound, before collapsing as the blood pulses out of him. Wolf is going to be proud of that one.

As Pony finishes the last soldier off, Wolf slams his his glass onto the counter. "Ah, that really hit the spot. We moving on, fellas?"

As simple as that, you're back out of the bar, Bear punching the bouncer in the face as you step outside. In and out, mission accomplished... or at least part of it. From the look on Wolf's face, taking down a group of soldiers to scare the rest is far from all you've got on the cards... but you're sure he'll explain the rest to you soon.

"I'm sick of fighting Safaia forces," Snake comments. "If you were to look at our last few missions, you'd think we were freedom fighters. I don't care for this General Aoki or Zenko Ugaki, but I thought we worked for who payed us?"

"We do," Wolf replies. "But I draw the line at working for a tyrant. And since we're not working for him, all our jobs have been coming from disheartened Rubi people. It's honestly that simple."

"If you say so..."

Wolf cracks his knuckles. "General Aoki... they say he's dangerous."

"You're telling me!" Weasel laughs. "Damn, I heard he took on an entire battalion by himself, without any weapons! Like something out of an action manga."

"It's an exaggeration," Pony explains. "Just a piece of propaganda in the man's favour. He's a dangerous tactical mind, but he's not some sort of killing machine himself. He's a general, I doubt he can actually fight much."

"What's wrong, boss?" Bear grunts. "We need to kill him?"

"Yes, actually..." Wolf replies. "Or at least, we got the offer. A big one at that. I'm very tempted to take it. What do you think, Kid?"

"Me?" you ask. "Why ask me?"

"You haven't spoken up yet!" Wolf smiles. "Even Bear said something. I'm not making any decision until the entire group voices their support or concerns. That includes you now, Kid."

>Assassinating a general? Sounds dangerous.

"Of course it is," Wolf chuckles. "It would be perhaps the most dangerous job we've ever taken on."

Pony crosses his arms. "Then it all depends on the money we were offered. That's all that matters to me."

"Let's just say that the payment for this..." Wolf pauses. "It'll be enough for all of us to get out of the game, never worry about money again."

"Well, I like the sounds of that!" Weasel remarks. "All I've ever wanted is enough cash to settle down with my girl!"

"Oh yeah!" Bear exclaims in enthusiasm. They don't even have to hear the full amount. Wolf's word carries a lot, and those three are already sold.

"I don't know..." you mutter. "The money means nothing if we can't finish the mission. Are you sure we can survive this?"

Wolf nods and smiles. "Kid, I've always had complete faith in all of you. I know that with a good enough plan, we can take down Aoki and still have time for lunch."

"You should have less faith," Snake mutters, always the pessimist. "General Aoki could have us all killed with the snap of a finger."

"Then should we put it to a vote?" Wolf asks. "All in favour, say aye."

The votes ends with four in favour, and you and Snake the only two opposed.

"Hmm... then I suppose we'll have to sleep on it," Wolf mutters upon the result of the vote. "We need something more conclusive."

"Conclusive?" Weasel laughs. "Maybe you're getting old and senile, but four is more than two. Seems conclusive to me."

"Yes," Wolf admits. "But two people is a third of the group. If two of us are wholly opposed to the job, then we won't come to a decision just yet. Now, let's head back to base."

By base, Wolf is referring to a small warehouse in a nearby village. It's dark, dirty and dingy... but it's hidden, and that's all that matters to The Beasts.

As you walk back with the group, you decide to talk to one of your teammates.

>Snake

Snake seems very opposed to this job. You have your reservations due to the danger, but Snake seems like he knows a lot more about this General Aoki than you do.

"Hey, what's up?" you ask, as you rush to walk by his side.

He simply shakes his head. "If you're going to ask me something Kid, skip to the real question. I don't want to have to ramble on about the weather before you get to the point."

"Okay..." you shrug. "Do you know anything about this General Aoki guy? You seem pretty shaken up by him."

"Well, what do you know about the general?" Snake asks.

"Well..." you begin. "He's a general, that much is obvious Fairly young for his position... and yeah, I've heard all the rumours. I don't think any are true, but he's still a military force to be reckoned with."

"Yeah..." Snake begins. "Well, I've seen what he can do. I'm from one of the villages he razed to the ground. General Aoki is no man. He's a mythical being, a monster. And I refuse to stand to monsters, when I know full well I'll be trampled."

"Oh..." you begin, scratching the back of your head. "You have any friends from that village? Any-"

"-Family?" Snake asks. "Yes. But that's the past, and it's not important anymore. I'm not dwelling on the dead. That was my past life. I'm Snake now, and the only thing that remains important to me from that day is that General Aoki cannot be stopped. It's part of the reason I'm sick of fighting Safaia for these people... because it's a losing battle. So many ignore that. Wolf has his head filled with hope, Pony wants the glory of being a hero, even Weasel wants the money for his girl. And Bear... well, Wolf just needs to point him in a direction and Bear will tear something apart, that's just how he is. In the short time I've spent with you all, I've pegged down each of you... except you, Kid."

"Me?" you ask. "Can't imagine why I'd be the hardest to pin down."

"Yet you are," Snake mutters. "Tell me Kid, why do you fight? What exactly drives you to live this life."

>I fight because there's nothing else.

"Now that's interesting," Snake remarks. "Explain."

"You know about my parents already," you reply. "They're gone, and they're never coming back. I don't fight for them or for their memory... that's pointless. Wolf took me in, brought me here... this is my family now, and in this family, we fight. That's all there is to it. I have nowhere else to be, nothing else to do, no-one else to be... so I fight. It's all I have."

"Pretty sad philosophy for a kid like you," Snake replies. "Aren't you only thirteen?"

"Yeah, well... I grew up quick."

The group make their way into town, as Wolf opens up the shutters to the group base. The rest move inside, but as you begin to step forward, you feel something tugging onto the back of your robe. You turn around, and look down, to be met with a very familiar face.

"Bang!" the small child exclaims, her fingers shaped like a gun.

"Oh damn, you got me!" you exclaim, clutching your chest, simulating a gun wound. "Pretty nice work, Saya."

"It's not Saya!" the little girl mumbles. "I'm a superhero like you now! You can call me... Teddy!"

"Nah, too long," you shrug. "I'll just call you Ted."

"Ted? That's a boy's name!" Saya protests.

"Well, you chose it."

"No!" she protests. "Ted is dumb! Go back to calling me Saya!"

"Too late, it's Ted now," you tease.

The little girl stamps her foot. "Noooooo!"

You chuckle, as you reach into your pocket, pulling out a candy bar. "Here. Picked this up a town over."

Saya's eyes light up as she snatches the candy bar. "Oh, thank you Gado!"

"I told you that name in confidence," you reply. "Always call me Kid. That's my name now."

"That's you super-hero name!"

"We're not superheroes."

"You look like them."

You sigh, sitting down on the curb, as Saya continues to stare at you. "Did you beat up any bad guys today?"

"Wow..." Saya gasps. "Was the main bad guy like 'mwahaha! You can't defeat me!' and you were like Pow! And then he went down in one punch, and everyone cheered?"

"Yeah," you reply. "But you're forgetting something. The Mayor's daughter was kidnapped, and I had to free her from the railroad tracks!"

"What?" Saya asks in amazement. "But you can't beat the speed of a train! Did you do it?"

"Let's put it this way," you reply. "Me and the Mayor's daughter have a date next Saturday."

"No way!" Saya protests, placing her hands on her hips. "I think you're lying!"

"Like what?"

"You've been working on your drawings, right?" you ask. "You could be an artist!"

"An artist?" Saya scoffs. "But I want to be a hero and help people! Drawings never helped anyone!"

"They sure help me," you smile, before rising to your feet and ruffling her hair. "Now get going. I hear your mother calling you."

Saya runs off, and you reenter the base, closing the shutters behind you. The group are all tinkering at their weapons, but you have no improvements to make, giving you ample time to talk to the others.

You make your way over to Weasel as he steadily tinkers away at his automatic rifle. "Hey Weasel, how's it going?"

Weasel remains hunkered over, sniffing the air strangely as he speaks to you. "Oh, I'm just making some adjustments to this baby, hoping to improve the range. If we're gonna take out a General, I want to be able to shoot from as far away as possible, ya'know? Gotta stay safe, look out for myself. I've got a girl to think about."

"Who's this girl of yours anyway?" you ask. "Don't think I've met her."

"Oh, it was a whirlwind romance," he laughs. "I met her at the last culture festival they had here a few months ago. Ah, Momoko... you should see her. Legs that go up to here, a chest that goes to here, and just the prettiest damn eyes you ever did see. I'll introduce her to you guys some day, pretty sure she needs to gain Wolf's approval anyway. Like meeting the father of the bride, only in this case I'd be the bride I guess. Heh heh..."

"And what do you plan to do with the money, assuming we get it?" you ask.

Weasel smirks. "Livening up to the idea now, are ya? Well, first of I promised I'd take her the hell away from here! A warzone's no place for a lady... or a weasel. We're gonna run of together, and we're gonna start something simple. I'll open a motorcycle shop, we'll get married in a flash, and we'll just take it from there, I guess."

"No kids?" you ask.

"Nah," Weasel shakes his head. "Don't think I could handle kids... maybe one. A boy, if I'm lucky... but a girl if she has her way."

"Just start a new life, huh?" you ask.

"Yeah..." Weasel responds. "I mean, don't get me wrong! I love you guys, you guys are my family... but I've got other stuff. Gotta move on, play it safe, start a new family. I'll miss you and Wolf and Bear and the others, but what can you do? Good things don't last forever."

>I'll miss you, Weasel.

"Hey, I'll miss you too, Kid!" Weasel laughs, as he pats you on the shoulder. "Man, I remember when we first picked you up. I'll admit, I thought Wolf was out of his mind just adopting this random kid on the streets, but he was the boss so I went along with it. Flash forward a few years and look at you! You're an even better fighter than I am already, and I think you're taller too!"

"I've been taller than you for a while now," you reply.

Weasel chuckles. "Hey, no need to point that out! I'm a short guy! Heh heh... you know Kid, you'll always be welcome to visit me and Momoko any time you want! This ain't exactly a place for kids to live anyw-"

"Kid, you want to come for a walk?" Wolf asks.

"Heh, looks like the leader calls," Weasel laughs. "Take care, Kid. We'll chat more later."

You follow Wolf outside the base, him closing the shutters behind him, as the two of you begin to walk the streets of the village. The streets are littered with the poor, the hungry, the desolate... this invasion has taken so much out of so many. This village is already under Safaia control, but thankfully isn't under too close a surveillance.

"Hey, watch where you're going!" a kid yells as he runs past you, shoving by with another kid running ahead of him.

"Watch where I'm going?" you ask. "You were the one running!"

"You were the one not watching!" the boy protests, as you see he's not much younger than you are. "Screw you!"

"Come on Ninsei, don't be picking fights with others," the other boy replies. "Besides, he's armed, but I don't think he's a soldier. No point being angry with him..."

The boy huffs. "Whatever. Let's go Sora."

The two boys run off as Wolf lets out a small chuckle. "Oh, kids."

"Things really are tense around here..." you mutter.

Wolf nods. "Ever since the invasion. General Aoki and his men haven't been too kind to the poor of this village."

"I get it," you reply. "You're trying to convince me to take the job?"

"No," Wolf shakes his head. "Just wanted to go on a walk with you, son."

Wolf ruffles your hair as he hands you some money. "Go on, you did good today. Spend it on something. My treat."

"You're too generous with that girl," Wolf chuckles. "You would think she was your own sister or something."

"And you're too generous with me," you fire back. "You'd think I was your son or something."

"Good point," Wolf nods. "I suppose it wouldn't be right of me to judge. Well, if you want to spend your money on someone else, there's no way I'll stop you."

You make your way to the nearest corner store, and step inside. A handful of Safaia guards inside, but you doubt that matters. You shouldn't raise too much suspicion. Word of The Beasts of Fortune's recent exploit likely hasn't gone around just yet, so there's no way anyone would think this one kid is an enemy of the state. Especially not while he's buying a cuddly teddy bear.

"Can I also get a small card to go with that?" you ask.

"Sure thing," the shopkeep replies. "Anything you want on that?"

"Yeah," you reply. "Write 'To Ted, my favourite hero' on it."

The shopkeep obliges as he hands you the stuffed bear. As you begin to make your way out of the shop, one of the soldiers stops you. "What's your name, boy?"

"Gado Nemoto," you answer honestly.

"Nemoto..." the soldier ponders. "You don't sound like you're from here."

"I'm not," you explain. "I've been living with my aunt and uncle these last few months."

"Hmm..." the soldier hums, then points to Wolf from the shop window. "That man out there, is he your uncle?"

"No," you shake your head. "Never met him."

"You were speaking to him outside," the soldier replies.

Crap. "He was just asking for the time. Seemed to be a kindly old man."

"I see..." the soldier replies. "Carry on."

You nod as you take another step forward, before being stopped again. "By the way... what is the time?"

Huh, he's trying to trap you. "No idea," you reply with a grin. "Couldn't tell him either."

The soldier hesitantly lets you go, as you step out into the village courtyard. Turning your head, you catch glimpse of an interesting sight. The circus that was in town for a few days, packing up and getting ready to move on to the next location. As the caravan is being loaded up, you catch the glimpse of her. Golden flowing blonde hair, those striking eyes, she seems to be about your age. One of the trapeze artists. She's beautiful... and she's leaving town. Crap, a beauty like that is rare. You'd be kicking yourself if you didn't use what is probably your only opportunity to talk to her now...

>Go over and talk to her.

You just feel compelled to do it. Something about this girl is making your feet move in her direction. It doesn't matter that she's about to leave. It doesn't matter that you'll probably see this girl again, or that you'll forget about her in a week. All you know is that if you don't talk to her now, you're going to regret it.

The girl is loading boxes into the back of a wagon when you approach her. She turns around, sees you, and then jumps in surprise. "Oh! Umm... hello?"

"Hey there," you reply, unable to think of anything else to say.

The girl nervously scratches her arm. "Umm... I'm sorry, but my mother tells me never to talk to Strangers. Especially... scary ones."

"Scary?"

"I'm sorry, a lot of this place is scary..." the girl admits. "Sad, too. It... it fills my heart with sorrow. People shouldn't have to suffer like this. It's wrong... still, I know in my heart that it will work out in the end for everyone. It's the will of the Elder One."

"The Elder What?"

The girl sighs. "You look... worn down."

"I mean, a lot of the people here have it worse," you mutter. "But I guess it's pretty rough-"

"I want you to have something," the girl smiles, as she reaches down into her pocket. She fixes her hair band before handing it over to you. "It's the money I made from my performances here. I have no need for it."

"You're just... giving this to me?" you ask. "You just met me."

"I have no need for it," the girl replies. "And the people of this town... they need the money a lot more. So... I'm giving it to you. Promise me you'll do good with it?"

"Sure, whatever," you reply, raising an eyebrow. It's a little creepy how nice this girl is being to a stranger. You suppose it's because she's from a travelling circus. Were she from this village, she'd be much more cynical.

"Good... and if you have no need for the money, pass it on to someone who does. The world's much better when people are nicer, don't you agree?"

Before you can answer, a voice calls out to the girl. "Amaya! Come on dear, we should get moving!"

"Oh..." Amaya mutters. "Well... goodbye, I suppose! Take care, and remember to do good! Hang on dad, I'm coming!"

Amaya runs off, as the circus carriages and trailers begin to move on. Bewildered by the encounter, you watch the carriage take off, moving down the road until it's just a speck on the horizon.

"Now just who was that?" Pony asks, his voice coming from behind you. Seems he had been listening for a while. "The girl."

"Just one of the circus crew," you reply. "Never met her before."

"Oh, I get it," Pony nods. "You were interested in her, right?"

"Would you look at that!" Pony remarks. "Somebody's love-struck. Never figured you the type, Kid."

"Come on, love-struck?" you laugh. "That's going a bit too far."

"I don't know, just wait until Wolf hears about it," Pony teases. "Knowing him, he'll track that circus down and find her just so you can be happy."

You laugh it off, but that girl is still at the forefront of your mind. Amaya... not a name you'll forget any time soon.

"What were you doing out here?" you ask. "Don't tell me you were planning on hitting on one of the other circus acts?"

"I don't hit on women," Pony explains. "They come to me. I was just planning on making myself more readily availa-"

Pony is cut off by the sound of an explosion. Not an uncommon sound in this region these days, but still one that's cause for alarm when it's followed by another... and another... and those bangs are coming from the direction of the warehouse base.

"Shit..." Pony mutters, readying his rifle. "It's General Aoki's men. They must have tailed us."

"What?" you reply. "No... crap, we have to get back to base. Rejoin with the others!"

A soldier rounds the corner, and is quickly shot down by Pony. "Yep... well, we're in the fight now. I could pick off some from the rooftop there."

"But we need to get back to base!" you reply. "Picking them off from a stationary position isn't going to get us there soon enough!"

"Then what's your suggestion?" Pony asks.

>We rush in, guns blazing. We cut a path through the soldiers and the team.

We're 100% going to lose Saya or Wolf minimum because Gado thinks he's a murderer. We know killing enemy soldiers doesn't bother him and he's not mourning Bear for years. Best we can hope for is saving Saya because Wolf is an elderly soldier and is doomed anyway.

1) Prioritize her every choice.
2) Don't fire a weapon that can misfire or try and shoot the guy holding her hostage unless she's clearly dead if we don't take the shot.

Pony climbs to the rooftop, as you begin to rush on through the streets. For some reason, you find yourself prioritising the stuffed bear, making sure it's strapped safely on your back before moving. Pony provides covering fire for you, sniping at the Safaia soldiers as you rush ahead. With Pony taking them down, you find yourself not needing to use either your sword or your pistol outside of the rare occasion when you're up against a soldier Pony can't reach from his angle. You cut through them in a hurry in order to make it to the warehouse... which is already burning to the ground, the smoke rising higher and higher. Crap, crap crap... this isn't good, this isn't good at all... and now you're separated from Pony's covering fire, as he tries to find a new rooftop he can shoot from.

The soldiers just keep coming, and you can't fight them off on your own. One tries to sucker punch you, and you dodge, but he follows it up with two more punches to the face. He wraps his hands around your throat, trying to strangle you... before a lumbering beast comes up behind him, snapping his neck with ease.

"Don't hurt kid."

Bear's words aren't elegant, but they're a relief to hear. Even more of a relief is to see Weasel, Wolf and Snake joining you, each of them safe and sound.

"This is General Aoki's doing..." Snake mutters.

Weasel raises his eyebrow. "The hell? He can't be doing this over what we did earlier!"

"No..." Wolf replies. "I'm sure he's pissed, but this has nothing to do with that. No, he was always going to raze this village. Death, destruction... it's a way of life for people like him. It's a good thing we're all okay... now we can begin to fight back."

Yes, everyone's okay. Wolf and the crew... wait... not everyone. "Saya!" you find yourself exclaiming. She lives in this area, the place where the bomb went off... no, she could... she could already be..."

"Go," Wolf places his hand on your shoulder. "We'll fight off Aoki's forces and you can join us if... when you get her to a safe place."

You nod, and sprint as fast as your legs can take you over to Saya's house... just as you thought... a burning wreckage. No... this can't be happening... Saya...

You begin to dig through the wreckage, desperately. It burns your hands at the touch, but it doesn't matter. She has to be here... she still has a chance. She has to...

"G-gado..." a weak voice coughs from beneath a pile. Thank god she's alive...

You clear the ruins to find Saya laying with her belly to the ground, bleeding as she's pinned down by a heavy piece of wood.

"You're here..." Saya coughs. "It... it all went dark... mommy and daddy..."

"Don't worry," you smile. "The superheroes are here to save you."

You grab the plank of wood, and pull at it with all your might... but it won't even budge. Not an inch... and it's crushing her.

"It hurts... I can't feel my legs."

You continue to pull at the plank, but it's not moving. Maybe you could get Bear... dammit, no. By the look on her face... you don't have much time. You... you're going to have to do this yourself. You can't give up on her, not now. You need to do this.

You can't let it just end here. This isn't the way for this girl to go... she's going to be a hero, or an artist, or both... she can't die. She won't die, not while you have anything to say about it. You can save her. You're her hero... Please, for the love of god...

You push with all of your might, pushing as hard as you can to raise the plank... it's not working. The weight, it's too heavy. There's no possible way you could lift it on your own strength. Even Bear would struggle. It's... it's impossible... but you still have to try. You strain with all of your might, putting all of your energy, everything you have into pulling up this plank of wood, and you manage it... by so little. You can only raise it an inch or two... but with her help...

"Saya, I need you to do something for me," you plead to the girl, keeping your attention on the plank. "Something very brave."

"My legs won't move..."

"I know, I know..." you mutter. "I can only lift this so high, and I can't hold it up for much longer... I need you to crawl out for me. Can't you do that?"

"Y-yeah... I think I can..." she mumbles.

Keeping your attention on the plank, you hear the sounds of her hands pulling along the ground, dragging her body forward. She groans and winces and cries in pain as she does, as you feel the shift in weight beneath you. After a few moments, you can tell that she's safe from under the rubble, as you drop the plank back down. You fall back into a seated position, catching your breath in relief, as you turn to Saya. "Heh... that was a close one, wasn't... it..."

No... she's not moving. That took everything she had out of her... she had spent so much time under that plank that... that you didn't remove it in time. You check for her pulse... no, no, no, this can't be happening. She can't die, for the love of... it's not too late, you can save her. Her heart has stopped, she must also be choking on the smoke fumes she was covered in... it's all too much. But you can save her... just a little CPR, that's... that's all it takes. You can do this... you have to do this...

You press your hand to Saya's chest, and begin to push down, trying to jump-start her heart. You give her some air, but it's not doing any good... she's not breathing. No... it's not ending here. You won't let it. Saya has a future, she's gonna keep going, she... she... No.

It's no use... it's not working. No breathing... no heartbeat... she's gone. It's all over. You... you lost her.

"Saya..." you mutter. "Please... please wake up. Look... I got you a gift..."

You give a panicked smile as you wave the teddy bear in front of her face. "See... it's a little... I got it for you. For being such... such a brave girl. If you don't wake up, you can't have it..."

Her eyes don't open, and the tears begin to flow from yours.

"Please..." you mutter. "Look, it comes with a card! It... it says 'To Ted, my favourite hero'... isn't that funny? And... and it's because you are. You're my favourite... please... please wake up..."

Nothing.

It's over.

She's gone.

There's nothing you can do. There's nothing you can say. All you can do is collapse into a heap of tears of her dead body. You grab her lifeless body and hold her close in a tight, desperate embrace.

And then you hear her breathe.

Just once... but it's enough. Soon, a heartbeat. Faint... but it's enough. She's alive... she's gonna make it.

She's still unconscious, but you're able to carry her to safety, away from the rubble. You find a spot where other civilians are cowering for shelter and place Saya on one of the stretchers. You instruct one of the civilians to tend for her. You run your hand through the kid's hair and smile, before placing the teddy bear atop her. Knowing she's safe, you make your way back out to the battle, as your comrade are taking down swaths of soldiers... the only dramatic stand this village seems to have. Inadvertently, it seems The Beasts of Fortune have in fact become freedom fighters.

Wolf appears to be struggling in close combat with a heavily armoured soldier, while Pony remains on the rooftop taking potshots, though he is soon being joined by others on the roof, creeping behind him, wanting to put a stop to him.

You raise your pistol and fire, taking down one of the men on the rooftop. You fire at the other, but miss wildly on the second... dammit. The second soldier grabs Pony and struggles with him, pulling the sniper rifle from his hands. Pony fights back, throwing a punch, and the second man digs his boot into Pony's gut, kicking him from the rooftop. He comes crashing down without his rifle in hand, landing hard on his back, likely breaking a bone or two as he does.

The rest of the team continue to battle through the soldiers, taking more of them down, but being heavily disadvantaged by the sheer numbers against you. Before you know it though, things are being interrupted by a voice calling out among the soldiers.

"What is this we have here?"

The soldiers stop in their tracks, as into the courtyard steps a brown haired man in military gear... more specifically, a general's uniform. So this is him... General Aoki.

"Were these rebels giving you men trouble?" Aoki asks.

"No sir," one of the men answers, before taking a bullet to the gut at the hands of his general.

"Don't ever lie to your superiors," Aoki mutters. "Nobody assist him."

Bear rushes towards Aoki without a second thought, hoping to bulldoze the General. In an inconceivable display of strength, Aoki raises the monstrous Bear over his head and tosses him... one-handed. It's like sight out of a cartoon... Bear is twice that man's size at least, and yet Aoki make him seem light as a pebble. Just... just who is this man?

"Pony's already down..." Snake mutters. "He can't go on... Bear's been tossed... this is the power of General Aoki. We don't stand a chance."

"Don't give up hope," Wolf replies. "He's just a man... we can still fight."

You're not going to just give up. This man is the reason for everything burning around you. He's the reason that Saya is... you draw your blade and charge at him with intense speed, only to be swatted aside.

"Foolish..." Aoki mutters, before taking a pistol shot to the shoulder from Wolf.

"Back away from the kid!" he yells, holding the pistol high and firing more upon Aoki, who moves to... dodge them. Dodging bullets... how is he so fast? Nobody could be that fast. It's impossible.

You come charging back at Aoki and swinging with your sword, but he switly moves out of the way of every swipe. But even with his amazing dexterity, you can tell... the wound to his shoulder hurt him. It took him by surprise, and it's slowing him down. There's no two ways about it. He's human, and he can be killed.

Aoki grabs you and tosses you back, before rushing towards Wolf. A punch to the gut causes Wolf to double over, being thrown aside as well... before Aoki is tackled by an angry Bear, looking for more. Bear tackles Aoki through one of the walls of the crumbling building. A thrust of the palm, and Bear is sent flying back, but as Aoki dusts himself of, you can see he's still hurt. He's not the unkillable god he's been made out to be.

"You put up a good fight..." Aoki mutters, as Wolf fires upon him with a sniper rifles, piercing through his leg.

Aoki physically winces in pain this time, and you can see that you've proven more of a challenge for him than he was expecting. You're sure he intended to break and destroy each of you without any issue, and yet you were able to fight back. You've impressed him... but as the soldiers point their rifles to you, you can see that this is a fruitless battle.

A gun pointed to the back of his head, weasel immediately drops to his knees and surrenders. "Okay, okay... we put up the good fight, but I have a girl to worry about."

Snake is the next to give up, dropping to his knees, as another soldier carries Pony's limp body, bringing him to his knees with the rest of you. Bear is knocked down with a chop from Aoki... and finally Wolf finds himself with no other option. With a weary sigh, he drops his pistol, raises his hand in surrender, before dropping to his knees. He stares at you and nods, and you fall to your knees as well.

"Very impressive," Aoki remarks. "With such little numbers, you were able to do so much... even to me."

"Who the hell are you?" you ask. "What the hell are you? And... why do you do this?"

"I wish to conquer," General Aoki explains. "Nothing more, nothing less. Let me tell you something... I've seen another world to our own. An inevitable end to the entire human race. There's nothing we can do about it. In a matter of years, life on earth will be extinct... so no matter what I do, it doesn't matter. I live for my own gain, to give myself and my family the most lucrative life I can in these last years. You would do the same, were you in my shoes."

"So... you're going to kill us now, right?" Pony groans. "Punishment for rebelling against your regime?"

"No," Aoki replies. "In fact, your respectable display has inspired me to show mercy. Only one of you will die today..."

Not your idea of mercy at all. Dammit...

"... And the child will decide which one it is."

What?!

Aoki stands before you, looking down on you. "You heard me, young one. You must decide which of your allies I execute. Choose one, quickly. Fail to choose and I will kill two at random. Tell me, which of your group are most deserving of death?"

>Myself. Kill me.

General Aoki closes his eyes and shakes his head. "Child... that was the wrong decision."

General Aoki snaps his fingers, as the soldier standing behind Pony pulls the trigger. The bullet pierces through his skull, as his lifeless body falls forward, blood pooling out onto the black concrete.

"No!" you scream. "You bastard!"

"You do not sacrifice yourself for others," Aoki explains. "Others exist to sacrifice themselves for you. For you to rise. The law of the world is thus... those who are self serving are the ones on top."

"I can't believe you would..." Wolf mumbles.

"Do this?" Aoki mutters. "Yes you do. You always believed that, you just simply don't want to admit that men like me exist. On that note..."

Aoki snaps his fingers once more, and as a gunshot rings out through the courtyard, you see Bear fall to the floor, executed.

"Shit..." Snake mutters, wincing sadly. "Stop this... please..."

"I don't want to die!" Weasel exclaims. "I can't die! I... I have a girl! We're gonna have a life together!"

"Is that so?" Aoki asks. "Would she miss you?"

"Yes, yes she would!" Weasel pleads.

"Hmm..." Aoki ponders. "Let's hope so. You may go."

The soldier behind Weasel withdraws his rifle, as Weasel stands up, his hands still in the air and his eyes wide. "R-really?" he asks. "I can go?"

Aoki simply nods.

"I... thank you!" Weasel breathes a sigh of relief. Aoki motions for him to leave, and Weasel begins to run off... before the general embeds a bullet in his skull from a far-off position.

"Let's hope she misses him," Aoki shrugs, before shifting the aim of his pistol between Snake and Wolf.

"WEASEL!" you cry out in grief. "NOOOO! YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

"Now, let's see if you see the lesson I am teaching you," Aoki speaks to you again. "Which do I kill?"

He said one person would die. Then he killed everyone but two. he's a lair. His whole deranged logic dictates that anyone we pick to save would be the one we love more and sacrifice for, then he'd kill them to make his lesson stick. Then of course kill us and the other guy because he's a piece of shit hypocrite and liar. We didn't Sass him we made a legitimate choice and he said "lel no." He's arbitrary, does not abide his own word and loves being a brutally violent monster for the fun of it and the power.

"I see," Aoki nods. "I see. Well, your choice has been made."

In preparation, Wolf turns his head. "You did good, son. I'm proud of you... goodbye."

Wolf didn't have time to say much else... Snake didn't have anytime at all. This... this is it. It's over... Pony... Bear... Weasel... Snake... Wolf... your mind is having a hard time even processing it. Even now, you're thinking to yourself that... that there's still a chance. Wolf is strong, it'll take more than a gunshot to keep him down. He'll spring up and... and start kicking ass, right? It's Wolf... he can't be gone. Once they fell, the pistol pointed to you head is withdrawn.

"And now..." Aoki mutters. "You live."

"No..." you mutter. "I... I just lost another family. I... have nothing left. Kill me, please."

"No," Aoki replies. "You live knowing what your decisions have caused. These men are dead because of you. You shall carry on through life knowing deep down... you killed them."

Aoki adjusts his gloves as he and the troops begin to march on.

"What..." you begin. "What about the village?"

"This village is gone," Aoki declares. "The inhabitants will be taken in as prisoners."

"Prisoners?" you mutter, thinking of Saya. "No... no, you can't!"

"After all this, you still try to tell me what I can do?"

"You bastard..." you mutter, rising to your feet. You draw your sword and charge at Aoki... but you find yourself unable to move, a hot burning pain piercing into you stomach. Your vision blurs, as you look down, patting your stomach to see your hand being covered in blood. You look back up, your vision doubling, as you see Aoki holding a smoking pistol. Your vision turns black, as you collapse to the floor, the life draining from you.

>One Year Later

You never saw Saya again after that day. Deep down, you always hoped that she was still out there... still alive, drawing pictures, doing anything. But at the same time... you know how unlikely that is.

You gave the boys the best funeral you could. Buried them yourself in a plot just outside what remained of the village. You gave them an eulogy... then you moved on. It was the past... there was no point in ever going back.

You never forgave Aoki. The invasion was over... Safaia forces had won. General Aoki sat atop a mansion on a hill with his family, lavishing in his wrongful wishes. Never facing repercussions for his actions. Never facing the wrongs he committed. And that's why you're here, atop this hill, with a sniper rifle in your hands. You're going to correct that. You spent the last year tracking him down, waiting for your opportunity, and now you have it... the barrel of your rifle pointed directly into the man's kitchen, and General Aoki in your sights. The man who took everything from you... the man who turned you into a murderer... and he won't even see it. It's a lying a hair-trigger away from you. Just one second and... that's it. He's gone. Revenge... the only thing you have left to fight for.

And yet... you're hesitating. Not because of Aoki... that man is a monster, and deserves a fate even worse than the death you're granting him. No... it's because of the young girl sitting in the chair opposite him, in the view of your scopes. His daughter... his innocent daughter, Risa Aoki, not much younger than you... simply chatting away to her father. The man who raised her. You can't quite bring yourself to pull the trigger... not now. You can't kill him right in front of her... but you waited a year for this chance. You're not sure if you'll ever get another.

You finger presses against the trigger, and you shut your eyes.

>Don't shoot

You open your eyes, and your grip loosens on the trigger of the gun. You want to do it... more than anything else in the world, you want to do it. But you just can't bring yourself to pull the trigger. Not now... not with that girl there. Her father is a monster, a monster who deserves to suffer for what he did, to know true pain before dying... but that little girl does not deserve to witness death. You can't put that trauma on a young girl. You can't do that to her. Neither would Wolf... he always had the same soft spot for kids. It's something you must have inherited from him.

With a weary sigh, you pull back the rifle. General Aoki will pay for his crimes, you know that much, but Risa Aoki will not be forced to pay for her father's crimes. Besides... a sudden death is far too good for a man like him. No... when you kill General Aoki, you will be directly in front of him, and you'll be piercing your blade through his stomach. That is what you've decided. For Wolf, for Snake, for Weasel, For Pony, For Bear... for Saya, you promise that General Aoki will meet his end at your hands, and it will be much, much sweeter than a simple bullet to the head.

You sit atop the hill, overlooking the proceedings in the kitchen. Aoki continues to talk to his daughter, before leaving the room, out of your shooting range. You wait around, hoping that eventually he'll come back... come back to that room on his own... but he doesn't. You wait the whole night through, hoping and silently praying that you will have that chance again... but you don't. You missed your shot.

With that, you started your life anew, but always planning in the back of your mind... years down the road, Aoki will die by your hand. You moved away from the now former Rubi region, went to middle school at an older age than usual, and eventually found yourself being invited to a place by the name of Dark Gate Academy.

>Present day

"... And that bring us to the point where you all met me," you mutter. "That's my story."

The silence that fills the room is deafening. After all they've heard... you should expect as much. The first voice to speak up is exactly who you expected, as Risa opens her mouth, tears forming in her eyes and her voice cracking. "My... my father really did all that?"

"Yeah..." you mutter. "I... I'm sorry for telling everyone that."

"Do... do you still plan on killing him?" Risa asks.

>Without a doubt, yes.

Risa nods. "Yeah... you should. I... I don't think I could ever let you do something like that, but... you have every right."

"Risa..."

"Hearing that..." Risa mutters. "I... I knew he fought a war. I knew what that meant... but all that... to know that my father was like that..."

"You're a wimp."

Ninsei's crosses his arms, approaching you with angry intent. "You could have killed that bastard, and you didn't do it? You really are a disgrace."

"Who the hell do you think you're-"

"My parents died because of him!" Ninsei snaps. "And if you weren't listening to your own damn story, he killed your damn family too! What, you still think that little girl is out there? No, she's dead! He killed thousands! And you didn't take him out because what? He had a daughter? Pathetic."

"Look, just calm down..." Risa mutters.

"Oh, and don't get me started on you!" Ninsei snaps. "I knew the name was suspicious, but I wasn't going to point a finger! Now we all know why the walking ass here made herself seem all sexy and mysterious; her father's a damn war criminal! You're disgusting. Screw this, I'm out of here."

Ninsei storms off in anger... while his words cut deep... you can't blame him for being angry. You stare at Risa as she looks down forlornly. "I..." she begins. "This is a lot to take in... I'm going to bed..."

Risa shuffles off like a lifeless zombie, unable to say anything else, as you turn guiltily towards Kuin, who is listening in rapt attention. "Kuin... I'm sorry. I'm a fraud. I... I've never been able to protect any-"

"You really lifted up that wooden plank to rescue Saya?" Kuin asks in wonder.

"Uhh... yeah. But... there was more to the story than-"

"That was amazing!" Kuin exclaims. "Wow, Gado! Even before awakening! You didn't even care that it burned your hands! You'd do anything... I always knew you had it in you! I knew I made the right choice!"

"W... what?" your mouth hangs agape.

"Gado, that story proves one thing!" Kuin smiles. "You're the best guard anyone could ever ask for! I'm so proud of you!"

You try to protest, but Kuin isn't listening. She's just hugging you. "I... I really don't deserve..."

"You..." Amaya mutters.

You sigh. "Look, Blondie. I know you're going to hate my guts because I shot down all those-"

"Gado..." Amaya continues, as you can tell from her eyes that she's shed more than a few tears during your telling of the tale. You should have figured... Amaya's the type to get emotional at a sunrise. "You faced true evil... it's so horrifying. I'm sorry for everything that has happened to you. But you did the right thing... what that General said was wrong. To be self-sacrificing... is to love. Peace and justice will come for you someday... maybe not through killing another... but I believe that your future is bright."

Amaya places a comforting hand on your shoulder and smiles. "So..." she continues. "You were that boy."

"You remember me, huh?"

Amaya nods. "Yes... I suppose I never made the connection. May I ask, what did you do with the money I gave you that day?"

>I used it to give my friends a proper burial.

>I used it to give my friends a proper burial.

"You did?"

"Yeah," you reply. "It's the least I could do for them. They were my family."

You feel a warm, comforting hand place itself atop yours. Amaya's hand. She smiles at you. "I'm so sorry, Gado... I may have been very, very wrong about you... and thank you."

A kiss on the cheek from Amaya warms up your face, as she lightly strokes your hand. "Please, talk to me whenever you need someone... for now, I should comfort Risa. I'll make you breakfast tomorrow as step one of my apology tour!"

"Can we skip that step?" you ask, knowing full well how horrendous Amaya's cooking is.

"You can't skip steps of an apology!" Amaya smiles. "Especially when you're as sorry as I am. No, I'm going to make you the biggest breakfast I can, just for you!"

Well... her heart is in the right place. That annoying, wonderful heart of hers. All those years ago, you never thought you'd see that circus performer again... you don't begrudge Amaya for taking your attention away from Saya on that fateful day... and you hope she knows that. You should tell her that when you next get the chance.

You stare at Amaya as she walks off, cutting the figure that you love to admire. With a sigh, and as the others begin to return to their room, you lift Kuin up like a child. "I think it's time you went to bed."

"Aww..." Kuin pouts. "Don't you have more stories?"

"Maybe tomorrow," you reply. "For now, you need to sleep."

"Okay..."

You tuck Kuin into bed, kiss her on the forehead, and wish her good night. Now there's a kid with brains, a kid that's going somewhere. She's going to be a real hero or a scientist or something some day, you're sure of it.

You don't return to your bed. After all, your bunkmate is none other than Ninsei, and you doubt he'll want to talk things out for a while now... no, instead you sit outside in the courtyard of the dormitories, under the moon.

"Feeling introspective?" Anri asks, as she steps outside behind you, noting you sitting down. "Do... do you mind if I join you?"

"Go ahead," you reply.

Anri sits down next to you, and a brief silence breaks.

"I suppose that story was pretty boring for you Brainiac," you remark. "You did research it all before. Gotta commend you on not giving away everyone's secrets, at least."

"I didn't know about that last day..." Anri mutters. "When you had the chance to kill him. That must have been a difficult choice."

"No kidding..." you reply.

"But it seems there's also something I know that you're unaware of."

"Oh?" you ask.

Anri places a hand on your arm. "Gado... Saya's alive. She's safe. After the invasion, she found herself with a nice foster family. She was never able to walk again after that day, but she's living a healthy life, she's going to school, making friends."

"You... you're not just making this up, are you?" you ask, your eyes welling up.

"I have the files if you want to make sure," Anri remarks. "It's true. Her favourite subject is Art."

"Of course it is..." you chuckle. "Does she... still have the toy?"

"I'm sorry, I don't know."

"Yeah... figured," you sigh. "But... thanks for letting me know, Brainiac. You don't know how much that means to me."

"From what I see, you deserve to be happy," Anri replies with a small smile.

You shake your head. "I don't get it... I failed everyone. I failed Saya... I failed my crew... even when I had the chance to make things right... I didn't take it. How could Blondie or Kuin... how could they care for me after that?"

"Well, I have a running theory. Would you like to hear it?"

"Go ahead, Brainiac."

"Well Gado," Anri begins. "I theorise that you are in fact a good person."

"Wow, you're just a terrible detective," you joke, causing her to exhale sharply from her nose and smile. Closest to an actual laugh you've ever heard from the girl... if she keeps this up, she might start coming across as sociable and charming. You like her as she is, though.

"Hey... Anri..." you find yourself saying, as you place a comforting hand on her shoulder.

"Yes, Gado?" She asks, turning her head in confusion that you used her real name. For a brief moment, you hesitate, simply looking into her bright green eyes. "Umm... were you about to say something?"

>Kiss her

Before she can finish her sentence, you're already leaning in. Your lips press up against hers, and you hear a muffled yelp of shock before she catches on, and gently places her hands on your forearms, taking it in for a few seconds before leaning away.

"W-well Gado..." Anri gasps, her face red and flustered as she begins to awkwardly tug at her collar and look away. "That was very... sudden of you... a-and I feel it would be responsible of me to-"

You kiss her again, and she drops all pretences. She quickly begins it reciprocate and pulls you in closer, her arms wrapping around your waist as she runs her fingers up and down your back. This is good... you needed this. Anri's always had an obvious eye for you, and for all your constant teasing of her... it's about time you took things that little bit further.

Eventually, Anri pulls away again. "Gado, wait... we can't do this. Not right here... not right now."

"You're right," you reply. "How about your room, two minutes from now?"

"No!" Anri protest. "I mean... yes, I'd like that, though my room is a mess with papers and reports... that's not what's important. What is important is that... before we do this, I have to tell you about myself first. There's... something I have to get off my chest."

"It's a double bluff and you really are a guy?" you joke.

"No!" Anri giggles slightly. Heh, got her. "No... this is serious. I know your history... the darkness in your past. If we're to... become an item... I have to tell you mine. Gado... I'm not a detective."

"I... know?" you reply. "You're a student who likes detective work. None of us think you have an actual license for this, you know."

"No, no, no..." Anri shakes her head. "That's not it. Gado... I'm not a detective. I'm... actually the opposite."

"The opposite?"

"Yes..." Anri replies. "You see... in fact you could say I'm actually... on the run from the law."

Anri looks at you nervously, before you sweep her up in a princess carry and begin to bring her back inside. What she just said... it's raises a lot of questions... for the morning. For now... you're just going to enjoy your time with Anri.

Your name is Gado Nemoto. Formerly Kid, you once believed that you fought for nothing.

Oh, how wrong you were.

Turns out this wasn't just a look into Gado's backstory, it was a look into Risa's and Ninsei's as well. Who are you most intrigued by, or are you more intrigued by Anri? And what was your favourite moment of this thread?

Thanks for running Booker, it was a great thread full of exciting moments and lots of tension

>Player Question
Now I am more interested in Risa, how can she not notice her dad is incredibly evil.
Best moment was not shooting Aoki, the salt, and the results of that choice, mainly Risa not wanting Gado to kill her dad and Gado fulfilling his revange.
>>
>>930695
Amazing thread as per usual booker
>PQ
My favorite moment was when we saved saya however i am most intrigued by anri, the implications of what she said could be dire. on another note how do you guys think yami is doing.
>>
>>930695
Thanks for running Booker

>PQ
Salt was definitely fun, it'll be interesting seeing how Risa will deal with her dad being murdered. Because fuck that guy, he's a dedman.

Oh yeah, and Anri's The Emerald Phantom.
>>
>>930695
>PQ
I think my favourite moment was either the trigger scene. Regardless of how it went down. Or more likely the decisions to not kill our family.

I am really looking forward to the new group dynamic. Risa is going to go through some really good development. Not to mention Gado and Anri.

Speaking of, Anri being a criminal will be interesting. But only when the others find out.
