Ok everyone it’s time to get started with the 1st trial, and hope I use the formatting tools correctly.

Trial #1

Everyone walks out of the elevator onto the roof in silence. Around the edges of the roof are 10-foot-high cement walls blocking preventing you from seeing anything but a black and gloomy sky. You think you feel a drop of rain on your nose, but no other moisture seems present. On top of the glass skylight are 9 podiums and a reclining chair all arranged to face each other.

“Come on, time is money and people get bored easily.” The mechanical bear steps out from behind the chair and takes a seat. As usual, Monoscrap’s voice sounds like it’s coming out of blown out speakers. “Here’s the deal, to stop the guilty party from running or trying to kill anyone else if he or she is caught there are chains at the base of each podium that I expect you all to place around your legs. They are all controlled by a remote and will unlock once the trial is over.” Hesitantly, everyone picks a podium and attaches their legs to the ankle bracelets.

Monoscrap lets out a small laugh. "Ok let’s get this show on the road!"
>>
Rules for trial:
>In a trial, the story with be much more limiting so that it is possible to solve the mystery. The two biggest changes are that “write in” will no longer be an option and there is a right and wrong choice. Each round people will give their statements and it will be your job to point out any contradictions with the evidence that you are given. You have infinite guesses, but with each guess wrong you will gain a point. If by the end of the trial your points are less than twice the number of questions you will be rewarded with an extra “something”.

Nonstop Debate 1:

Reginald: I suggest we start things off with something that has been bothering me.
Brittany Ann: The reason you don’t use he buddy system?
Slate: I think he is talking about the murder weapon.
Reginald: Yes, we still have no idea what was even used to kill him, but I think that it’s the key to this.
Jeremy: I never found anything in the Lego Store when we looked.
Jordan: Nor did the we find anything in the Hot Topic.
Brittany Ann: Maybe there just aren’t any tools designed to kill around here.
Reginald: That is a possibility.
Monoscrap: Nope, I made sure that there were murder weapons.

Please state the incorrect statement and the evidence that proves it.
>sharpened metal rods
>Reginald’s alibi
>Slate’s Peso
>Alexander’s bed

I'd say Jeremy's statement and the Peso.

You point out that Slate found a peso in the Lego store. Jeremy blinks and rubs the back of her head. “Well yeah, we did find that, but we are talking about murder weapons and I don’t think that he was killed with some Mexican money.”

It seems you have made a fool of yourself. +.5 (I'll only give you half a point because that is more my own fault.)
>>
>>892715
I require more information about what "Reginald's Alibi" stands for
If it means that we don't believe he is the murderer because he told us he would wait a few days before killing, then that would be a problem.
He has NO alibi otherwise, as he hasn't told us where he was at the time of murder.

We also have no need to point out the "sharpened metal rods" with "Any tools designed to kill" because Monoscrap already told us she was wrong

Also, can't find any info about Alex's bed, so i don't know how to connect it with anything

Some options i can't point out because there is no write in:
>The cash register could be used as a "rod" to beat people with
>The Buddy system: Why was Alex alone? Where was Jordan? (he was his partner, right?)
>If Alex made it to the bedroom with his friend, that means he was called with by somebody else in the middle of the night. That would make our heavy sleeper girl into a suspect
>We could bail Reggie by saying we found the sharpened metal rods and asked him to hide them, or something. But i have no guarantee that is what will be said if i pick that option
>>
>>893040
>>893104
Maybe ?
>Buddy system
>Alexander's bed
It feels kind of clunky, tho'
>>
>>893104

Since you are asking for information fist, I won't count >>893112 yet.

Reginald's Alibi: Reginald says that he spent the whole day at the Dillard’s constructing his murder weapons. After that he went to dinner and saw Alexander there like everyone else. He then went to bed and found out about the murder with everyone else. He did not use the buddy system the whole time.

Alex's bed: Alexander’s bed has been made and doesn’t look like it has been slept in.
>>
>>893145
Is the Buddy system option only for Reginald or we can use it for the system in general?
>>
>>893156
Only Reginald.
>>
>>893165
Shit, CJ, all we had to do, was follow the damn train.

>Alibi
>Buddy system

Sorry Reggie-ster, i see no other way and i don't want us all to die.
He should be fine, because Alex was beaten, not stabbed

You dramatically point at Reginald. “YOU DIDN’T USE THE BUDDY SYSTEM.”
He looks you in the eye and says “Yeah, we know that. Brittany Ann, just pointed that out. My choice to not participate in your system isn’t news. Now can we please get back on topic? We need a murder weapon and so far I’ve seen nothing that could be used to kill.

You feel like you made a fool of yourself. +.5 (yet again I can see how the way I set it up can be confusing. Also from now on wrong answers will have hints.)
>>
>>893206
>Sharpened metal rods
>Nothing used to kill

Bye bye, you little shit. I- i didn't even want your big and smart penis anyway.
>>
>>893214
Upon hearing Brittany Ann’s statement, you speak up. “I remember differently!”

All eyes are on you. You take a deep breath and point to Reginald. There are at least 2 murder weapons I know about you have them Reginald!” The Grand Prodigy smirks and claps his hands. “Good work Samantha.” He then bends down and picks up the duffle bag he had been keeping with him. In a swift moment, he reaches into the bag, pulls out the two sharpened metal rods and tosses them to the center of the skylight where everyone can see.

Nonstop Debate 2:

Reginald: I confess, I made these out of the coat racks in the Dillard’s. My plan was to kill one of you and go free so that I could go get help. That was before I learned that to go free would also kill everyone here.
Jenny: And why should we trust you?
Reginald: Samantha did, she knew about my plan but didn’t point fingers until now.
The Twins: Either way, you have the only weapon we’ve seen so far.
Slate: He was killed with a metal object.
Brittany Ann: He also ignored the buddy system.
Jenny: I bet you used those rods to beat him to death!

Please state the incorrect statement and the evidence that proves it.
>buddy system
>the whispering on the first floor
>Monoscrap’s report
>Alexander’s story
>>
>>893219
>used those rods to beat him to death!
>Monoscrap report
These are sharp, buddy
>>
>>893226
Upon hearing Jenny’s statement, you speak up. “I remember differently!”

“In Monoscrap’s report, it said that he was beaten to death with a metal object less than a foot long.” You then point to the rods. “Not only are those rods too long, but they were made to stab. It is odd that Alexander had no stab wounds if he was attacked with something made to stab.”

“Very good, but there is more proof that those rods are not the murder weapon.” Reginald pulls out the small carboard box you saw him take from the Hot Topic. “I found this empty box. There are no markings to suggest what it held, but there is still a clue in it.” The box is passed around to everyone one at a time. When it finally gets to you, you look inside to see a hand-written message:

“Congratulations in finding a murder weapon! -Monoscrap”

Reginald smirks and as he says with confidence, “This evidence proves that someone found a murder weapon in the Hot Topic and most likely used it to kill Alexander!”

Nonstop Debate 3:

Reginald: Whatever was in that box had to be small.
The twins: Like a slinky?
Slate: Or chocking wire.
Jenny: Maybe a hammer?
Jeremy: Whatever it is, it must be hard.
Brittany Ann: What’s the point? We don’t know of anyone who’s even taken something out of there.
Jordan: Maybe we should just give up.

Please state the incorrect statement and the evidence that proves it.
>buddy system
>Alexander’s story
>Reginald’s alibi
>Jeremy’s Lego
>>
>>893291
Ok, I need to remember to make sure I format correctly.
>>
>>893291
>Alexander’s story
>We don’t know of anyone who’s even taken something out of there.

Maybe they actually found something there
Like a giant metal dildo. Jeremy did found out something weird there, apparently
>>
>>893318
Upon hearing Brittany Ann’s statement, you speak up. “I remember differently!”

Everyone’s eyes turn to you. “Before he died, Alexander told me about his trip to the Hot Topic and let it slip that someone took something. Not only that, but the thing that was taken would be small enough to fit inside that box.” You then point your finger at the person you are talking about.

Who took something from Hot Topic?
>>
>>893413
Point at the Grand Deviant
>>
>>893426
By that i mean Jeremy
>>
>>893426
You point your finger at Jenny. “You took something from the Hot Topic, didn’t you?”

The grand deviant gambles and lets out a sigh. “Fine you got me. I asked him to keep it a secret, but I took an Invader Zim shirt. I-I had to have it. That show was the only thing keeping me going during some tough times and- look I don’t want to go into it right now. Jordan saw me take it, he’ll back me up.” Jordan nods in approval.

You are surprised that the object that Jeremy took wasn’t actually sexual in nature. Then again, death by metallic pleasure stick would be too difficult to believe.

“Well, did anyone else take something from there?” Reginald says interrupting your train of thought.

There is still one more person who you know took something from Hot Topic. Sure it seems harmless, but it is better to point it out.

Who else has taken something from Hot Topic?
>>
>>894372
Fingerless gloves
>>
>>894394
Sorry, read it wrong.
>Jenny
>>
>>894394
>>894409
“You also took something, didn’t you Jenny? As I recall, Alexander also told me you too some gloves with you too.” You say to the girl with arms the size of half your head.

The well-built girl seems in shock and unable to say anything. Finally, she stutters out. “Well, yeah. But umm what does that have to do with anything?”

You shrug and shake your head. “Nothing really, but I just wanted to make a list of everything that has been taken out of the Hot Topic.”

“Hold on!” You turn around to see Reginald pointing his finger at Jenny. “If you did take some gloves where are they now?”

Looking at Jenny hands, that had now turned to fists, you can see that she doesn’t have the fingerless gloves on. “S-so what? Are you saying that I killed him with some gloves?” Jenny says angrily.

Reginald gives the girl one of his signature smirks. “Yes, I do. I’m willing to bet those weren’t gloves at all, but weapons made to look like gloves.” He then looks to you. “I’m sure you can figure this out. The weapon had to be less than a foot long, metal, and made to be part of the gloves.”

Instructions for the Hangman’s gambit:
I will give you a few letters and then you all will give me 10 (max of 5 per person) and I will fill in the blanks based on that. Afterwards you will guess the word. Each guess wrong will be another point.

You think for a moment and then guess “Brass knuckles?” Reginald nods. “Correct. The gloves would look bulky but I’m sure that Jenny did her best to stop anyone from getting a good look at them. So, if they aren’t the murder weapons, I would like to see them to makes sure.”

Jenny seems uneasy and is unable to speak. It is clear that everyone is thinking the same thing. Jenny falls to her knees. “I- This wasn’t.... He told me that…”

You can hear Monoscrap’s speak up and instantly look to him. “Alright kids, I don’t see a reason to drag this out any longer. It’s time to vote to see who is the killer! In your podiums, you’ll find a notecard and a pin just write down whoever you think the killer is and then I’ll collect the votes.”

You hesitantly write down Jenny’s name and wait for Monoscrap to collect the cards. As he passed you, you instantly feel sick once you see that he has bloody fingerless gloves on his paws. The trial is over and there is no point in saying anything more about it. Monoscrap quickly reads over the votes and then throws the cards into the air. “Good work. Jenny is the killer, bla bla bla. You guys get the idea.”

“Why?” Everyone turns to look at Jordan. Trying to not break down and cry, he asks again. “WHY!?”

Jenny slowly pulls herself up and looks down to avoid eye contact. “He told me to.” There is a long pause before she can bring herself to continue. “When I saw that the gloves were potential murder weapons, I showed Alexander and he told me to keep it to myself and we would talk after dinner. We left dinner together and went to the Dillard’s. There he… he told me that it would be a matter of time until someone killed, he even said that it would probably be Reginald, so he wanted someone to kill him first so that they could get out and get help. He didn’t fight back and I did my best to make it as fast as possible. When Monoscrap told us that my escape would kill you all I panicked and just didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t let all of you die, but…” Jenny falls to her knees again and starts to cry. “I DON’T WANT TO DIE!”

You watch as the girl sobs as she repeats the same five words over and over. Suddenly, you hear a snap and everything goes silent. Everything seems to be moving in slow motion as you see the glass under Jenny’s podium shatter. Your blood runs cold as you are listen to her scream fade out, and your heart stops when you hear something that is a mix between a crunch and a splat.

Chapter 1 Epilogue

Everyone stands in silence for what feels like an hour before you hear a ding. Turning around you see that the elevator doors have opened again and the chains around your legs have already been undone. Without any words, you slowly make your way to the elevator as you feel rain start to fall. The ride down is just as silent as the walk and all 8 of you exit once you reach the 2th floor.

As your craw into bed, you can hear rain poor down from the hole in the skylight. You place your headphones over your ears to block out the noise and go to sleep

A man stands before a metal door. Rags cover his body and bandages are warped around his head and arms leaving no skin exposed. The cameras inside the parking garage are all pointed at him as he waits. Finally, the metal doors open and he rusted sounds of Monoscrap can be heard.

The man’s eyes narrow as he sees the robot bear waddle out to greet him. He considers making a mad dash into the mall, but knows that the Monoscrap bots are equipped with bombs and getting past it is a feat far beyond his abilities. The man in rags clears his throat and speaks in a low voice. “Richard, this has gone on long enough.”

The bear only giggles in an unsettling way. “Richard is dead, but that was a nice guess. Still before he bit the dust he told me all about you.” Monoscrap looks over the large man and shakes his head. “Honestly, I thought your arms would be larger. Anyway, we have gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far for you to meddle with my plan and since you know what I’m doing I am afraid I need to stop you from telling anyone else.”

From the shadows the man in rags can see hooded figures slowly approach. Some have knives, others have bats. He can count 5 maybe 6 around him.

Monoscrap the walks back into the mall. “I’ll just have these guys take care of you and I’ll take good care of the kids. It’s not like ALL of them are going to die.” With that, the man in rags is left alone with the hooded figures.

Chapter 2: A Nation United Cannot Trust - Daily Life

You wake up. You didn’t dream, or you don’t think you did anyway. You can’t get the events of the trial out of your head. After sitting in your bed for as long as you can muster, you decide it is time to get up.

I'll probably won't be able to participate today.
If we have the chance to make questions again, here i have some

>What would happen if we kill somebody in self defense? Would it go into trial?
>If we murder somebody and we throw the corpse over the railing. Do we get to "nullify" the murder or we are punished anyway?
>Does it matter if we use the designated murder weapons or not? What about makeshift weapons?
>Is accidental murder also murder?
>Just how direct a killing has to be to count as one? If i were to forget a bar of soap in the bathroom and somebody steps on it, slips, and dies. Would it count as a murder?
>What is the punishment for breaking-in barred areas?
>Why aren't we allowed to share beds?... I-It is not l-like that!!!!

You get dressed and decide to skip your daily stretches to just go to breakfast. You just not in the mood for calisthenics today. When you reach the door to the mattress store you try to open it but it is locked. “Aren’t you the early riser?” The hairs on the back of your neck stand on end upon hearing the metallic voice of Monoscrap. The bear is sitting on the floor with a cup of hot coffee, a donut, and a hard hat on his head. “I didn’t think anyone would be up yet, but to be safe I locked the doors until everything is done.”

“What are you talking about?” you asked trying your best not to sound intimidated.

Monoscrap pretends to take a sip of coffee and turns his hear to look directly at you. “Clean up. Alexander wasn’t too bad, all that needed to be done was move him and replace some carpet squares, but Jenny. Oh boy, did she make a SPLAT! The rain helped wash some of it away but mad can that girl bleed. I guess I didn’t really think that through, so I’ll do something better next time. Oh BTDubs, the 3rd floor is open now and you guys can look around.” You stomach turns just thinking about Jenny. You are glad you didn’t see the body. Seeing an operativity you ask Monoscrap a few questions that have been bugging you.

“What would happen if we kill somebody in self-defense? Would it go into trial?
“Yep.”
“If we murder somebody and we throw the corpse over the railing. Do we get to "nullify" the murder or we are punished anyway?”
“Toots, the only reason the railing doesn’t count is because you can’t go to the 1st floor yet. You won’t get a nullify and I’ll bring it back up.”
“Does it matter if we use the designated murder weapons or not? What about makeshift weapons?”
“Whatever floats your boat. I wanted to see those stabby sticks in action. Way better than the two weapons on this floor.’”
“Is accidental murder also murder?”
“Sure why not?”
“Just how direct a killing has to be to count as one? If I were to forget a bar of soap in the bathroom and somebody steps on it, slips, and dies. Would it count as a murder?”
“I’ll say anything less than a Home Alone death trap doesn’t count.”
“What is the punishment for breaking-in barred areas?”
“I dunno. Death? I’ll work something out if it happens.”

Finally you ask, “Why aren't we allowed to share beds?...” Monoscrap jolts upright and looks at you “ I-It is not l-like that!!!!” The bear shakes his head and sits back down. “You kids could be here a LONG time. The bed rule is to hopefully prevent any babies from being made. Anyone who sets foot in here, even if they are born, will be part of the game. This is no place for an innocent baby.” Monoscrap then goes quiet.

One by one, the rest of the students get up and wait with you at the door. Finaly mono scrap unlocks the door and lets you out.

Before you explore the 3rd floor, you decide it is best to eat something. The other “students” follow your lead and go to the laundromat to eat. There is a note left by Monoscrap that reads “Due to the cleanup of Jenny’s body, I am too busy to take orders today. I have just made your usual meals and hope that will be enough. -Monoscrap”

You take your usual seat next to Reginald and try to think of something to say. Before you can open your mouth, he looks to you and speaks. “I have no hard feelings for your actions yesterday. I told you to put your life above mine and that’s what you did. Had you failed, I would have come clean anyway. This game we are playing is much different than I originally thought and the odds of us both getting out are slim.”

You try to say something, but you can’t find any words. Reginald gives you a pat on the back and attempts to make a comforting smile. However, he ends up smirking. Still, you get the idea. You both finish your meal in silence.

Also, the guilty girl needed more presence. Even though it's kinda dumb that killers blab their mouths so much, they get you to want to beat them, and feel awesome because the rest of your classmates feel like imbeciles who can't put two and two together.
>>
>>900938
Well, this was the first case, after all. There wasn't much chance to develop most characters.
Heck, i think the investigation phase was way to short and that we'd have to leg it, heavily.
Then again, i was problably expecting something like Ace Attorney, where the investigation takes a fuckload of time and the trial is the payoff.

Think of it this way. The killer didn't get much presence because she wasn't a criminal. It was a pact where one of the kids decided to sacrifice himself for the greater good and the girl, probably, didn't want to go with the plan in the first place.
This wasn't some case in which we outwitted some criminal mastermind and exposed her crimes. We just uncovered a plan born of desperation and ignorance. There was no big payoff and no need for fanfare.
We didn't do anything heroic, we just got to live another day

Everyone besides Reginald agrees on the buddy system and goes off in different directions. Somehow you end up with Jeremy and the two of you decide to visit the candy store first.

As soon as you walk into the door, you see Jeremy’s eyes light up. Before you can ask why she is looking at, the girl runs over to a display with rock candy on a sick and shoves 3 different colors into her mouth at the same time. She then screams “I LOVE THIS STUFF!” before violently biting one of the sticks in half.

Looking around the store, you see a replica of Monoscrap made out of candy. You are impressed by the craftsmanship, but unsettled that anyone would build such a thing. You snack on some peppermint while you wait for Jeremy to finish with her feeding frenzy.

As you are walking out the door you stop and bite your upper lip. You then let out a sigh and look at Jeremy. “Look, about yesterday. I’m sorry.”

The Grand Deviant looks surprised and says, “Sorry about what? Oh, yeah, the whole accusing me of murder thing. Meh, don’t worry about it, it’s not like it’s the worst thing anyone has ever done to me.” Jeremy goes quiet for a moment and rubs her arm before quickly regaining her energy. “Anyway, you were in the heat of the moment. You even accused your boyfriend.”

“He’s not my boyfriend.” You say sharply.

“Suuuuure. Look I’ve seen the way he looks at you. The guy’s a turbo dick, but he’s in love.”

You can only roll your eyes. “speaking of dicks…” You say as you enter the sports store. Upon taking your first step into the store, a rope net falls down on you and Jeremy as you are knocked to the floor by a paddle. You can see 5 shadowy figures surrounding you. One of the figures stats clapping and steps forward. “Well, well, well, what do we have here?”

I highly recommend it.
I'm not saying that you have to play it (or cheat and watch the anime) but I will probably spoil the end of the first game near the end of this quest. However that's a LONG ways away, so there's no rush and you can afford to wait to see if it's on sail during the next Steam sale.

The figure who appears to be the leader steps forward and places one of his boots on top of you. “So, did the bear send you to speed things up?

“Really Chuck?” Says another boy. “Pride and avarice sound your ever action. Perhaps we should hear them out first. After all, they did open the doors for us.”

A girl speaks up next. “Shi, but we can’t be too careful.”

“Eh, at least we’ll be closer to solving his puzzle.” Another girl chimes in.

“To be honest I’m not so sure attacking people the moment we see them is a good idea.” The final figure mumbles.

“Shit up Frank!’ The one you assume called Chuck yells. He then takes his boot off you and takes a step back. Almost in slow motion he starts to bend his knee back getting ready to kick you when out of nowhere Reginald rushes in and punches him in the gut. Chuck instantly falls to the floor and curls up into a ball. Before anyone can react to this, Slate and Sam quickly follow behind Reginald, each holding one of the sharpened metal rods that Reginald made 2 days ago.

Reginald places his foot on top of Chuck and sneers. “Now that you have been put into your proper place, perhaps we can talk about this in a civilized manner?” Chuck only spits at Reginald’s foot.

“My, my, my. If I didn’t know any better, I would think one of you were about to kill someone.” You whence at the sound of Monoscrap’s voice. The bear walks into the store with his hands behind his back. Brittany Ann, Jordan, and Samantha enter behind him and start to free you and Jeremy from the net while Monoscrap talks. “I guess I should have made an announcement. As everyone of you know, there is a killing game going on, but what I forgot to tell you is that there were students on the 4th and 3rd floor. Now that the first innocent soul has left the building, it’s time for everyone to get together.”

“What are you talking about?” Says the boy in a white jacket and glasses. “We didn’t kill anyone!”

Monoscrap wiggles one of his claws. “No, but they did.” He then points to your group. “anyway, it’s time for some introductions.”

From the ceiling a projector emerges and just like before everyone is shown with a title. However, this time, the other 5 students are added in. The first is a boy in a trucker hat and red hair named Chuck. Fittingly enough, he has the title of Grand Glory Hog. Next is the boy in the white jacket, Gabriel, the Grand Faith. 3rd is a girl with long blond hair done in a ponytail with glasses, Mercedes, the grand translator. After that is Frank, the Grand Truthteller. He has a tee-shirt and jeans and is rather skinny. Finally, is a girl in a black top hat with a trench coat full of crossword puzzles. Svetlana, the Grand Puzzler.

The air in the room is thick with distrust between the two groups. You suspect this is what Monoscrap wanted.

You place your hand on Slate’s shoulder and motion him to put the rod down. Reluctantly, he tosses it out the door and Sam does the same. Seeing this, Reginald lets out a sigh and backs away from Chuck. One Reginald is a few feet away, Svetlana rushes over and helps Chuck to his feet.

Finally, you step forward and hold out your hand. “Hi I’m Samantha, as you say in the slide show. I guess we kind of got off on the wrong foot.” Chuck glares at you as he walks up and slaps your hand away. Swiftly, Reginald gets in front of you. Chuck only sneers before he looks around and speaks. “I have no reason to trust you. WE have no reason to trust you. Me and my people will go explore the 4th floor while all of you finish learning the layout of the 3rd.”

“I think that might be a wise course of action.” Reginald replies coldly.

With that, the 5 new “students” walk out of the store and make their way to the escalators. After another moment, the others leave the store as well to continue exploring. Now you and Jeremy are alone.

You suspect that Chuck’s group have been sleeping here and make a note to ask them if they were the cause of the whispering when you get the chance. You also find some dishes that have been used suggesting that they have been eating here too.

Around the store there are several things that could be used as weapons from boat paddles to hockey sticks. there is just too much to round up and yo can't help but feel worried. Jeremy even takes a metal bat with her. You are unsure if it is for killing, defense, or things you don’t want to think about. You feel it is best no to ask questions.

“I doubt you’re his type.” You say as you pick out a wooden bat of your own.

“And why is that?” She says sharply. She then folds her arms and looks away. You can hear her murmur under her breath. “You’re just like them.” Slumping her shoulders Jeremy starts to walk away.“S-sorry for snapping at you. I think I’ve seen enough here. I’ll wait outside when you’re ready to move on. We have to keep up the buddy system, right?” Without another word, the girl quickly runs off.

You do find a blank CD, and add it to your inventory.

The intercom then comes on and Monoscrap’s voice is broadcast throughout the mall. “Ok kids, lunchtime. Anyone living on the 3rd floor is to report to the 4th floor classroom for meals from now on.” The intercom fades into static and then silence.

He turns to look at you and waves his hand in a way to suggest that it is best you keep your distance.

Who will you sit with and talk to?
>>
I had to switch to a different internet source. sorry for the change in ID, I'll switch back later.

Ok calling it here, but it’s finally time to pick our next murder victim! The reason I waited till now is that we needed to introduce the new kids first.

Ok here are the rules this time. Roll a 1d10 and pick 1 or 2 characters (we will need a double death eventually). If you roll a 10 then congratulations, you picked the next kid to be in a body bag. However, this time there is a new rule. By now, some of you might be attached to a character, so instead you have the option to roll a 1d5 and if you get a 5 that character is off limits for this round. You need to wait a full half hour to roll again and we will keep this up till either someone rolls a 10 or all but 1 person is made safe.

The living students are:
Samantha: Grand Memory
Reginald: Grand Prodigy
Jordan: Grand Chronicler
Jeremy: Grand Deviant
Slate: Grand Merchant
Brittany Ann: Grand Cheerleader
Sam: Grand Twin
The other Samantha: Grand twin
Chuck: Grand Glory Hog
Gabriel: Grand Faith
Mercedes: Grand Translator
Frank: Grand Truthteller
Svetlana: Grand Puzzler

Oh well. Who will we sit with and give more character development to?
>>
>>908971
Brittany Ann
>>
>>909026
You walk away from the intense battle of wills and go sit with Brittany Ann and Slate. “So, what do you guys think about all this?” you say as you sit down. The cheerleader lazily plays with her salad and sighs.

“Why can’t we be friends? Why can’t we be friends?...” She sadly sings as she slumps over even more.

Slate puts his hand on her shoulder and looks to you. “She’s not taking this well. She was already having a hard enough time dealing with yesterday, and now the distrust in the air is really getting to her. After this I think I’ll swing by the candy store and take her back to the Lego Store. That tends to cheer her up.”

You look at Brittany Ann and can see that she is doing her best to not cry and smile. There is no doubt that this place is hurting her more than anyone else, and she is using all her strength to hold herself together. Everyone finished their lunches and goes off in different directions.

Who will you go with?
>>
>>909062
>Reginald
If he's open. If not then.
>Jeremy: Grand Deviant
>>
>>909089
You see Reginald walk off to the railing on the 4th floor with the duffle bag he had at the trial and follow him. “Hey” you say as you run to catch up with him. “What was that about?”

Reginald frowns and lets out a long sigh. “Me and Chuck had a long talk to get to understand one another a little better. As the leaders of eatch floor-“

“Since when were you our leader?” You ask cutting him off.

Reginald stops and looks at you. “Since when was I not? Anyway, it quickly became clear that we don’t see eye to eye. Chuck wants to be in control of everyone and for me to be his lackey at best.” As you two reach the railing, Reginald unzips the bag and pulls out the sharpened metal rods. “And at worst he wants me dead.” He then throws the rods over the railing and watches them fall all the way down to the first floor with a loud clang. “I say, if he plans to kill me, I welcome the challenge.”

You look down at the metal rods and then back to Reginald. “Won’t you need them for self-defense?”

Reginald chuckles. “Samantha, I told you, I will do everything I can to get you out of here alive. If Chuck tries to kill me and I defend myself, I will end up killing him.” He then turns to you with an extremely serious face. “and if I kill anyone, none of you will know I did it until right before Monoscrap puts you to death.”

Reginald then walks away leaving you alone.

With Reginald gone, you walk over to the Dillard’s and run into the twins. “Good afternoon.” They say as yon approach. Even now you are still off put by the way they talk. “Let us guess, Reginald diched you?”

You nod. “Yeah, he doesn’t really care for the buddy system.”

They shake their heads. “Well it failed to prevent a murder. People are starting to lose faith in it. Also, the people from the 3rd floor don’t follow it since no one told them about it. Honestly, it was a good idea, but it was executed poorly and failed. Just like Persona Trinity Soul.”

“So, what do you guys make of the people from the 3rd floor anyway?” You ask as you look through a rack of shirts.

The twins shrug. “We’re not sure yet. It is unlikely that they are working with Monoscrap, but it is still a possibility. They probably think the same about us, but that is understandable. We are well aware that the way we talk can be…. Off putting. Still with time there is hope that we could eventually build some trust.”

You continue to look thought the clothing store with the twins until dinner time.

You and the twins start walking to dinner. On the way, there you pass by the railing and look down. All the way on the 1st floor the two metal rods glimmer sinisterly. When you are about 20 feet away from the laundromat, Brittany Ann runs out of in with wide eyes. The moment you make eye contact with her she sprints over to you and grabs you by the solders and yells. “You got to go in there! You’re the only one who he talks to!”

Feeling the urgency in her voice, you run into the designated dining area to see what is going on. Most of the “students” have their backs to the wall and Monoscrap is sitting on top of a washing machine covered in a bowl of noodles. Reginald and Chuck are in the center of the room each wielding baseball bats and looking like they had already taken a few punches.

“You’ve had this coming you no good pampered prince.” Chuck says wiping blood away from his nose. “Says the one who attacked first. Really, you’re nothing more than a power-hungry uncultured brute.” Reginald spits back while trying to fix his hair with the hand not holding the bat. “I hope you understand I’m not going to make your dinner a 2nd time.” Monoscrap grumbles as he tries to clean himself off. The bear then quickly runs out of the room leaving a trail of noodles. A moment later, music stars to play over the intercom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzVBqBosf5w

Chuck lets out a yell as he swings the bat. Reginald grips his bat with both hands and does his best to counter. Again, and again, they swing the bats, and each time they collide. Neither boy is able to land a hit on the other and all the other people are too afraid to make a move. You can’t help but be frozen in both aw and horror. If either of them get killed, then the other would be executed. Reginald’s words about him killing or being killed by Chuck echo in your head.

“Stop this.” Gabriel hopelessly pleads.

Slate folds his arms and shakes his head. “I’m with quire boy. This needs to end.”

“It would but two less headaches around here.” Jordan grumbles.

Svetlana pulls two crosswords out of her coat. “Come on guys. Let’s just do some puzzles and calm down.”

“STAY OUT OF THIS!” Chuck yells as he delivers another blow. Reginald backs away, but slips on a misplaced sock and falls to the floor. Chuck smiles and draws closer. Before Reginald can recover, Chuck uses his boot to stomp on Reginald’s shoulder and kicks the bat away. In slow motion, you see the red-haired boy raise his bat and get ready to slam it down on Reginald. Without thinking you run in between the two and wrap yourself around Reginald to protect him. You feel something hit the back of your head. You are knocked out cold.
>>
Alright I think this will be the end of this thread.
I need a few days to plan out how the next murder will go down. Honestly I had hoped to use Jordan as the next killer, but now I'll have to pick someone else. I'll send out a tweet once I am ready to continue.
