Thanks to Reece for making the OP and several other images for the thread.

Last time, we got punished again, causing us to cry like a bitch again, we helped Alice move completely into our room, and got Bella in hot water, before getting laughed out of the room.

>Session Start

Once your team members Faye and Alice stop their laughing fit caused by your unfortunate spillage of spaghetti from your mouth you have come across the predicament of not really having much else to do during the day. Well you probably could do a lot of things, and it would probably be a better use of your time than just goofing off.

“So what do you guys think we should do?”

“Reclaim your innocence?” Alice pipes up, causing Faye lets out a light snort of laughter.

“Besides that.” Those two weren’t going to let that go for a while were they…

“Well we could prepare for our inevitable return to mystery dungeons.” Faye gives her two cents.

“Oh yeah how is our supplies looking after your guys trip to those mines?”

Alice puffs her chest up “We barely even needed the stuff we brought.”

“By that she means she refused to use any items.” Faye says, causing the fennec to deflate somewhat.

You two returned in good condition, after all.
But seriously don't turn into a pack-Rattata. Supplies are for when you need them and the basics are cheap enough to not worry about wasting them.

A small frown works its way onto your face, “Alice you really should be careful, I worry about you too you know.”

Alice at least has the decency to look somewhat abashed with her actions. “But I can handle myself…”
“Remember what we agreed upon in the dungeon we just came from.” Faye cuts in.

Alice looks somewhat confused “What does that have to do with-“

“The other dungeon!” Faye quickly cuts her off. “The one Luka was with us in.”

“Oh… OH! Yeah! That library!” Alice quickly changes the subject from their escapades without you.

“What happened in the mines while-“

“We stick together through our problems. Always.” Faye firmly states.

“Yeah, we won’t each other down!” Alice agrees before the two of them look at you, a somewhat strange look on their face. They are definitely hiding something…

“Wait so what happened in the mine exactly?” You inquire

Both Faye and Alice flinch a bit, but firmly deny anything of any interest happening besides Alice refusing items and getting the smelling salts. You don’t really believe them, but it might not be a good idea to push them further on it, or maybe it is. You never know.

“If it was just girl talk, you wouldn’t be as cagey about it as you’re being. You’re hiding something!”

Faye begins to hide her face, “Oh what sorrow, our comrade does not trust us to have any kind of privacy!” Could a Froslass even learn fake tears? Or was this something she learned on her own?

“Yeah Luka, you really should trust us, it was private talk between two girls, let it go!” looks like Alice got a bit of her confidence back.

You have the feeling this is not going to go anywhere. “Fine, what do we need to do to prepare for our next exploration?”

Alice thinks a bit as Faye continues to… do whatever it is she is doing. “Well we have to pick what we are actually going to do. We kinda need money for some supplies for any bigger explorations, so we could go to the bulletin board to pick a mission. We could always try and find items in the dungeons, but with how we are now it might not be the best plan… Or we could just pick a dungeon that we want to explore, but once again it might not be the best idea without supplies.”

Alice pauses to think again. “We only have around 119 poke, so we might be able to get something small at the shop. We can also ask around for info for any new dungeons or old dungeons. Maybe some pokemon in town or in the guild may even need a personalized mission that’s not on the board. Although we’d have to convince them we can take it…”

“Let’s check out the bulletin board first, then we can ask around town.” You decide. Alice and Faye nodding in agreement before you all make your way through the guilds halls to the board. The board itself has few missions, they are there, but you assume not as plentiful as it once was.

“See anything interesting?” You ask your team.

“Oooh! Oooh! I found something!” Alice excitedly tells you through a mouth muffled with a piece of paper. Taking it out of her mouth you read the paper.

A-rank Item Retrieval
Client: Lombre
Objective: Find Choice Specs
Location: Death Valley 38F
Restrictions: None
Reward: 5000 poke, ???

While the reward sounded appealing, you can’t help but feel that that mission is a bit beyond you at the moment…

“Let’s keep looking…” Alice is a bit disheartened, but you and Faye are able to find a few missions more your speed. Three to be exact.

D-Rank Rescue Target
Client: Ivysaur
Objective: Rescue Bulbasaur
Location: Mist-erious Forest B4F
Restrictions: None
Reward: 800 Poke, ???

E-Rank Rescue
Client: Caterpie
Objective: Rescue Caterpie
Location: Mudslide Swamp B3F
Restrictions: None
Reward: 500 Poke

D-Rank Escort Target
Client: Lotad
Objective: Escort Lotad
Location: Mudslide Swamp B6F

Reward: 1000 Poke, ???

Well that at least could solve a bit of the money issue, not counting the guild’s cut. Which brings up something. “Hey Alice, can we do multiple missions at the same time?”

“As long as they don’t conflict I believe we should be able too.” She takes another look at the three missions.

“We can take up to 8 missions off the board before we have to abandon or complete them, and we really should take as many as we can.”

“You think we can complete all of these in one day, one is in a completely different dungeon then the others?” Faye asks.

“No, we can try, but really as long as we don’t hold onto it for too long without doing it we can take all three.”

Objective: Find a Link Rock
Location: Mudslide Swamp ?F
Restrictions: Must wait for a Mudslide to happen
Reward: ???

“Where do we find this Link Rock anyway?” Faye inquires.

“Simple dude, all you got to do is make it through a mudslide on any floor and you will most likely find one that was swept down.”

Wut?

“Why I would nev- I refuse to take part in this, I can tolerate quickly making our way through this dungeon, but the mud is no place for a lady!” Faye says raising her voice.

“We already took the mission Faye. Isn’t it a ladies responsibility to keep her word?” It was a rhetorical question, but it served its purpose.

She points at you accusingly “But you were the one to accept it!”

Alice decides to make herself heard “Yes but we are a team, and as a part of it his word is our word too!” She might be enjoying messing with Faye a bit too much.

“Calm down Faye, You can float just fine over any mud.” You remind her.

“Come on Faye it won’t be that bad.” You tell her optimistically.

Faye doesn’t respond, but seems to accept her fate of dealing with the mud. After a few moments of slouching she blurts out “If I get dirty you are helping me wash it off!” before covering her mouth completely and turning around silently berating herself for making that comment.

Alice seems shocked as well, and turns to you curious of your response.

“Whatever you say Faye,” you say somewhat humorously “Alice can join us too.” You add.

This leaves the two somewhat embarrassed. By somewhat they refuse to speak or make eye contact the entire way back. You are fairly sure they aren’t mad, well at least not Alice, she would be far more vocal about it if she were mad at the suggestion. You are just glad you got to mess with them a bit after them laughing at your own misfortune.

After adding Alice’s hay to your own hay pile you all finally have enough room to at least not be covered by the two when you sleep at night. Although they are still somewhat close enough to share the blanket. Thankfully you fall into a dreamless sleep in preparation of your next mission.

quick shot of faye being flustered and alice lightly embarrassed as they walk home
>>
Just got back and am about to start writing a brief summary of how the new dungeon system will work and I will take a few more minutes for any questions before actually starting the session.

This is the part where my previous procrastination catches up to me.
>>
How the dungeons will work:

To speed up the dungeons I have made a new way to get through them without having to describe every single repetitive floor of the dungeon.

At the beginning of every floor I will assign a number at random, this will be the exploration goal of the floor. To reach this exploration goal, you will need to vote ‘Explore’ and there will be a cumulative roll of the first 3 rolls after I tell you to roll. Once this number is reached you will gain access to the staircase and may choose at any time that is not a battle or other major event to move on to the next floor. Floors pertinent to a mission or with a secret will also gain an exploration goal, this will be cumulative with the previously mentioned goal for the staircase.

For example: the goal for the floor is 45, and the mission/secret of the floor is 70
The first 3 Anons roll an 18, 15, and 17, putting them at 50.
They could decide to continue to explore for the mission or secret, or continue onto the next floor.

After each exploration attempt, I will roll my own dice and an event will occur. It can be anything from a trap, to a finding item(s), to even a battle happening. This will count as an event and you will not be able to continue onto the next floor without finishing or escaping from it.

Please note I will not be revealing the numbers that you need to reach unless you gain a skill or ability that can reveal them. As well as some skills that increase the number of rolls, initial starting points, etc.
>>
>>891108
>Session start

You make your journey to the Mudslide Swamp, the dungeon itself apparently being a large swamp in the middle of a fairly large valley. The valley itself doesn’t seem too large, but you know better at this point. Entering the dungeon you find that your movement is severely hampered by the mud, you don’t sink too far because of your light weight, but it feels as though the ground is trying to consume you.

Alice seems to be having a similar issue, but luckily as a quadruped her weight is far more distributed over the area. Faye looks at the area distastefully, but is easily floating above the mud.

As you wade your way through the mud, you eventually enter the familiar dungeon as the trees seem to close around you, making an almost physical wall. The murky waters surrounding them and closing any gap. It may not be best to try and swim through that, no telling what could be lurking in there…

“DELET WALL!”

Unfortunately this was not a wall, and your tree unexperienced aura powered palm met an extremely solid trunk. It took a second, but the pain quickly traveled up your arm and through your body. Hissing, you hold your poor arm close to you.

“H-Hey I think you did it!” the stuck plant states as he starts wobbling even more. Probably more from his own struggles than your own.

He lets out a scream as he falls to the ground. Right on top of your head, sending you face first into the mud. FUCK YOUR MOUTH WAS OPEN! MUD IN YOUR MOUTH! MUD IN YOU MOUTH! You quickly get to your knees and try to spit it out but are unfortunately unable to get it all out. You swiftly bring your paws to you out stretched tongue to wipe it off, only to be met with more mud from said paws. Your entire front is covered in mud. Faye and Alice are both giggling uncontrollably at your misfortune, but you are too concerned with the pain and the taste to really care at this point.

After regaining your bearings, you find a small amount of your pride is lost in the mud. Thankfully your scarf seems to be somewhat resistant to mud as it is to weather and heat, your goggles less so. You probably won’t be able to use the goggles until you clean them off a bit.

The small Lotad thanks you for your assistance and joins your party to continue the escort to the 6th floor.

Taking off your goggles, you wipe them off on the parts of your back that aren’t completely covered in mud. It isn’t a complete fix, and it may need some water to completely clean, but they are at least semi-usable now.

Placing them back around your forehead you turn to the Lotad who seems to be having little to no trouble standing in the mud with its six legs. “So why do you need to go to the 6th floor of this dungeon anyway?”

“Its… personal.” He says a bit down-trodden.

“Personal?”

“I don’t want to talk about it.”

“Do you at least have a way out when we drop you off?” Alice inquires.

“Yeah” He pulls out an orb you recognize as an Escape Orb “Once I do what I need to do I’ll get out fine.”

Wading through the dungeon, you, your posse, and your charge find the staircase to the next floor. Unfortunately the ground seems to be rumbling and in the distance you think you see mud begin to slide down the distant valley. Straight for your little group. You could try and make it through the slide, but it might be better form for you to see your client to the next floor and not put them through a mudslide.

“I don’t know if we can get to the staircase in time before that mudslide hits us…” Alice comments

“Right, Faye, float our client up to that tree for now.” You say pointing to the sturdy tree you found.

Faye nods grabbing onto the lily pad pokemon and carrying him up to the tree. Alice turns to you “What about us?”

For an answer you pick her up “Hey! What are you-“ and throw her straight into the tree. Hitting your mark easily as she lands ‘safely’ on the branches of a higher portion of the trees. Well at least she is able to stick there.

“JERK!” She doesn’t sound to happy.

You climb your way up the tree yourself and begin to wait out the incoming mudslide.

“Could I have not just brought Alice up here as well?” Faye inquires as she floats to your branch that you claimed.

“I just wanted to get everyone up here as quickly as possible. No idea how fast that thing could get here.” You motion to the incoming mudslide.

“Fair enough.” You don’t think she completely believes your cover story, but she accepts it.

After a few minutes of complaining from Alice and the Lotad who had gotten his pad stuck on the branch again the mudslide passed through. Thankfully the tree was as sturdy as it looked and held firm… Was that a group of Quagsire and Woopers following the current of the mudslide? They don’t appear to be doing anything other than leisurely floating down the stream of muck. Strange…

Once everything is said and done you are able to climb down while Faye floats down the Lotad.

“Guys! Still up here!” an annoyed shout comes from higher up on the tree.

“Alice! Jump down and I’ll catch you!”

“What are you crazy!?!”

“Just trust me!”

It takes a few moments, but Alice does jump, and luckily you are able to catch her, unfortunately her momentum sends you tumbling back into the mud with her on top of you. Making you formerly clean back to be completely muddied and finishing the look of piglet you were looking for.

“You did it!” Alice says excitedly as her face moves uncomfortably close to yours.

“Yeah… I did…” You groan out.

Pulling yourself out of the mud with a wet pop you look around you, the mud has swept away most things, but there apparently should be that link rock somewhere buried beneath the mess.

Focusing your mind you begin to feel the area around you with your aura. You feel your team members, your client, as well as the group that floated by earlier in the distance. You also notice something else beneath the mud. It feels as though it has some kind of a trace of aura, maybe because it is an evolution item…

Going to where you sense it buried you dig your way through the mud and muck before pulling out a very dirty looking stone. It doesn’t look like much, but you can feel something coming off of it.

“What’s with the rock Luka?”

Turning to Alice you respond. “I think this is the rock we were asked to find by that Geodude.”

“Really let me see.” Alice comes closer. “How can you tell anything with how much mud is on it?”

You wipe the mud off on Alice’s side “Hey!” before taking a closer look. This definitely isn’t a normal rock, the inscriptions on it are intentional, and not something you’d find on just any random stone naturally. Placing the clean(ish) stone into you bag and ignoring Alice’s glare you once again need to decide what to do.
