She hastily casts the Heal spell and green light softly glows around her and Mystery Person 14.

"Thank you, Ana." His eyes dart to her for a second. Her eyes are wide more a moment before the compliment registers with her and she smiles brightly, her cheeks reddening slightly with embarrassment.

"It wasn't anything special. Y-You're just a valued ally of my Lady Gneotho. I don't want to disappoint her by letting you die so soon." Smooth. You smile coyly at her and snicker silently. Just as the tension fades, the Anasael disappears in a bright light. The next round has started.

The audience gasps in surprise along with Brynn, who eyes have gone wide. "I-I don't know what you're talking about. I only wish to find the perfect candidate for Overlord!" He tries to sound innocent. At the same time, a ruckus bursts forth from the hidden door behind the stage. Its the tournament losers (minus Maconon) come to fulfill their part of the coup! At the head of the riotous crowd is Dan the Armor Knight and Perciel. The helmet is still stuck on his head, but it seems the losers have repainted the armor black and silver, so not to confuse him for normal guards.

"No point in lying now, Brynn! We've already rescued the losers you've been holding prisoner in the dungeons! And we have a witness that can prove you orchestrated the deaths of Overlord Ghraanus and his usurper!" The crowd gasps again. There is silence as everyone waits for Brynn to deny the accusations.

"Hehehehehe." A low laugh rumbles to the surface and the facade of the kindly old advisor is thrown away. A wicked smile crosses the elderly demon's face. "I guess there's no point in denying it now. Sure, I altered the tournament to guarantee I could take the title from the winner of the tournament. I've grown tired of simply advising rulers. I held the true power and I deserve the praise and spotlight! ME! Not Ghraanus, not any of those usupers, and especially not any of YOU!" He gestures widely at the tournament contestants.

"Ana, take us to Tartarus quick!" You shout out to your allies. Anasael nods and starts the chant. As the trio of demons approach, the incantation finishes and all eight of you are teleported into Tartarus.

You recognize one of the demons as the Head Maid in charge of the Clinic in the Palace. The other two are new to you. One is clad in black armor and stands at a good eight feet tall. His face is hidden behind a Knight's helmet sculpted to look like a roaring dragon's head. The other is a bald, rail-thin demon wearing a black pin-stripe suit with white shoes. He is holding twin daggers in his hands, playfully tossing one into the air and catching it.

Like designed, you, Anasael, Kain, and Mystery Person 14 have been teleported on one side of the mine field and your enemies on the other. For them to get to you, they'd have to pass through the explosives. That gives you more time to plan your attack.

"The guy in the armor is Dreadknight Weth. He's been serving as a General in Potential X's army for the past one hundred years or so. Honestly he's the most surprising person to have sided with Brynn. I always thought he liked Ghraanus. The other skinny guy is Belo. He's been serving as Brynn's left hand in all his operations. I've never actually seen him work, but there are others who call him a Kingpin, so I think he might be the one who did all the legwork in uniting the Palace staff behind Brynn." She exposits while the four of you sit back and watch the four enemy demons attempt to cross the mine field. Weth, as Anasael has called him, is the first to step on a mine.

The explosion is massive enough to throw the other three back to where they started. That reminds you...

"Oh yeah, Ana, I put down a minefield to give us an edge. Here's a map of their layout. Please don't step on the mines. They look like the pack quite a wallop." MP's feet are slowly sliding back from the pressure Weth is placing on him. Kain has a dagger sticking out of her shoulder and is furiously hacking at the air as Belo seemingly teleports around her. Yellow arcs of energy keep Anasael paralyzed while the Head Maid is casting another spell aimed at her.

Your allies are in trouble... your plan is failing... what can you do? Can you do anything? Maybe you should just give up? Its not worth it, is it?

NO! You've come too far to accept defeat now! A sleeping power within you awakens, unleashing an energy that you had no idea exists. A warcry escapes from your lips that stops all the battles for a moment. Brynn is watching you with eyes as wide as dinner plates.

"It... Can't be! An Overload Skill? You've unlocked an Overload Skill?! HOW?!"

You feel a burning fire envelope you, but it doesn't hurt. It feels like something is changing...

You reach up with hands covered in long black gloves and feel a spiky tiara atop your head instead of a hairband. There is a pauldron on your shoulder now with a large black spike jutting out of it. Your chest... lacks the same presence that it commanded while you were an Armor Knight. "What... What's going on here?!" You shriek.

You look back at Brynn who has doubled over in laughter. "AHAHAHA So that's your Overload Skill? To turn into a little girl?! HA! HOW PATHETIC! Well if there's one consolation..." He stands back up. "It'll be that much more enjoyable to mutilate you."

With all your might, you bring your arms down, opening the gates of light. A storm of ornate spears rains down on Brynn's head. You hear him scream at the pain and it makes you smile and laugh. "Serves you right for being such a jerk to everyone!" You shout at him as the gates close and the spears disappear. Your Pointed Stick returns to your hand as you jump up to cheer, unable to contain your child-like excitement. Brynn is lying on the ground bleeding profusely, his body has regressed even further now; he looks now to be of a similar age as you.

"But..." He starts, his voice hinting of bordering on tears, "But I was gonna be Overlord! Its not fair! NO FAIR!!"

I was also planning on unleashing the tournament losers on him, but you intercepted my agent. She looks at MP and Anasael. "Also, despite what Brynn thought, his inner circle moved on my commands, not his. For someone who so aspired to be Overlord, he really didn't have a clue how to maintain the position for long. He had no plans to keep his key supporters happy and thought he could rule for the next millennia or so just through fear. I don't really want title. I just knew I didn't want him to have it." She shrugs and stands again. Despite your restored height she stands a clear head above you.

Sure, why not? She might turn traitor later if she deems us unfit like she did with Brynn, but unlike Brynn, we are working on getting our allies to like us (If I remember well, Anasael had -10 as her opinion of us and Kain was -25 while MP14 probably is indifferent and if Dan joins for real, she would probably have a pretty good opinion of us)

Weth looks herseft over in the mirror, while wearing the clothes forced on her due to the demotion.

"This... this is... too conservative! The skirt is too long and the dress doesn't show my curves at all!" Weth complains and pouts.

"The maids get skimpy outfits, but as my secretary you have to look respectable and professional." Lady Gneotho says while wearing a very skimpy outfit.

"But you are the Overlord and you are wearing something that would make a Succubus proud! How is that respectable?"

"You don't want your name to lose the h at the end, right?"

Weth thinks about that for a few seconds "If you change my name to Wet, can I wear a skimpy secretary dress?"

"Why? You wore a full suit of armor that even hid your gender before!"

"That was because I was a warrior and I got tired of guys hitting on me during fights. But now I am the Overlord personal secretary, I am supposed to show some skin!"

"Fine, I will talk about it with Ana."

"Thank you my Lord."

Later...

"Anasael you were right, she totally fell for the reverse psychology trick... uh... why are you dressed like a sexy nun?"

"Because my Lady, I have been naughty and I should be punished!"

Then Weth enters the room wearing a naughty nurse outfit.

"Lady Gneotho, is time for your medical check up."

And then Kain enters wearing a schoolgirl uniform with a short skirt "Brother... do you think I am cute?"

And after that Mystery Person 14 enters wearing a single piece female swimsuit, making Gneotho faint.

"Think we overdid it a bit?" The swimsuit wearing Dark Knight asked.

"Probably, how did you fake such realistic female chest?" Weth stared, while not as big as hers, those were a pair that could pierce the heavens!

Yeah she was a chest loving girl, got a problem with that?

"Fake it? These are real."

And then it was Anasael who fainted, her nose bleeding and her face with a stupid happy smile.

AN: I don't think this was the best I could but, but whatever.

Man, doing comedy is a lot harder than they make it look like. Here's my attempt.

Next episode: The overlord is a loli?

"I want pudding, PU-DDING!" Gneotho said while pouting like the token loli she was.

"Not now lady Gneotho. Geez, how did we end up like this" Kain simply couldn't believe that after beating Brynn, lady Gneotho become a loli again next day, and this time the effect wasn't wearing off like before.

"She's simply so adorable! And this is if i'm not wrong one of the fabled system glitches!" The cleric said, head-patting the little girl.

"System glitches?" The puzzled Kain said

"Sometimes, strange things we cannot understand happens, things like getting stuck in a wall or floating in the air"

The cleric put on glasses, a teacher's hat and in a blackboard started to draw complex formulas about how the workings of the netherworld and examples of things not working as they should such as an archer having the character design of an angelical host or a prinny that doesn't explode when tossed. The valkyrie, fast with the legs but not so fast with the mind took a while to understand but when she did, a light-bulb appeared floating on her head.

"Ah! Now I get it. And that's why Lady Gneotho is still in overload mode"

"Exactly! Now if you excuse me, I need to play with her until she gets tired, have a sleepover party and finally get sleepy and share the same house while I cuddle with her"

The cleric and loli armor knight almost instantly vanished, leaving behind only dust and a confused Kain, who didn't really understand what happened but assumed everything was right and went to fetch some pudding for herself.

"Everybody is so crazy here. Now, I wonder what kind of cute dress I should wear for the crowning ceremony?"

"I thought you used to be a guy, unless Kain become a popular girl name" The ever stoic dark knight said, having been there all the time but not saying a single word.

"I'm a girl! No, that's wrong, i'm a man! Arghh ... something is messing with my head!"

And so, while Kain was having an existential crisis, the small overlord grinned as Anasael cuddled with her, knowing that her plan to turn Kain into the young female she was meant to be was working.

Four? Wow people really wants those bonuses. Personally I think "Operation Pie" is the one thst fits Disgaea type of humor the most. "Brynn is.....a baby?" feels incomplete, I can't say anything about "Secretary" since is mine and "The overlord is a loli?" needs work.

Is not a good idea to reincarnate without maxing your level first. And the reincarnation machine has been messed with.

So reincarnation cannot be done right away. They have to have the reincarnation machine fixed first.

There is also the fact that Lady Gneotho fight wasn't public so not everyone will accept her as the new Overlord.

Having Weth as a secretary will help, but she has to win the Dark assembly and the public favor.

Simply put, there are many things to do until reincarnation becomes a good idea. If the mental tampering the reincarnation machine seems to do isn't fixed first, then no one should use it unless is urgent."
