So yeah, feel free to post, feedback, complaints, critisicm, discussion, whatever now the episode is over. Thanks for posting gents, and a small thanks to lurkers whose hypothetical existence give me small amounts of motivation as well.
Are the duels too short? Fossle and Bob only had like 2 turns each before they died.
Too much gay shit? etc.
I'll probably switch to making a new thread once a week now, takes a lot of time to draw all these crappy pictures, especially when more than one npc duels.
What do you think Mr Granch's real deck contains?

I have recieved a bunch of replies suggesting I should swap to a preset deck for the protag but I'm very hesitant to do so.
I think it would make the quest less fun. The thread would contain more text dense posts providing card lists.
The overall freedom of the game will be reduced with a preset hand since there will only be 1 or 2 optimal decisions that can be chosen every turn the entire duel will basically be scripted. The posters will be pressing an 'advance text' button instead of playing.

I don't think it's too overpowered for the players hand to be made completely out of wild cards bacause the NPCs also have the same advantage. In face the players have to declare the identity of their traps/quickplays when they're set but the NPC traps are wild (although I usually have a specific trap in mind).
If the duel is going to be won sooner than I want it to I can give the NPC kuribohs/hanewatas and that's only necessary when they have no facedowns or cards in the graveyard with an unknown identity (eg: necro gardna). Even if the player makes somesort of combo that prevents the NPC from using any card effects I can still just go "lol I summon Lava Golem."

Anyway maybe we could try doing an episode with a scripted deck, but I'm pretty sure that would just be 'shota dating sim quest' with a yugioh cutscene in the middle of the episode.
