Shinobi Quest #50

This quest takes place within the lands of the Five Great Shinobi Nations (aka Narutoverse) starting roughly around the beginning of the original series. The world of this quest remains similar to the original, with slight but notable differences in certain areas, based upon the passage of time from a single slightly altered event.

(It’s a goddamn Naruto Quest, you bastards. Have fun, participate, and write in when you feel inclined. Most of the outcomes of this quest will be determined by you, the players. Critiques and questions are always welcome, as my knowledge of the weeby shit is not all encompassing.)

Previous Threads: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Shinobi%20Quest

Last thread, you controlled both Tsuki Norihime and Nori Uzumaki in their separate attempts to deal with the invasion of Konoha. As Nori, you were able to free your father, and flee to safety- as Tsuki, you met up with Danzo and the Aburame, then left to find the FOurth after a questionable bug experience.

Unfortunately the Fourth along with many others are currently under attack from several Akatsuki, including Shisui Uchiha. After several venomous exchanges, Tsuki was shown Shisui’s “truth”, regarding his flight from the village and eventually joining with Akatsuki.

Tsuki was not impressed.

After being freed from the genjutsu, Tsuki decided to stand with Danzo against Kisame….

...eh? You too, little girl? You were lucky enough to escape me once, and you jump right back in! I gotta admit, I like your moxie. I’ll remember you fondly when you’re dead! Hahaha!

“Tsuki.” Danzo says, not facing away from the Akatsuki member. “Do not engage him in melee. Remember, this one used to be one of the Seven Swordsman. I’ll try to create an opening to shift the battlefield in our favor.”

Nodding, your resolve hardens at the mention of the Seven Swordsman. Ebisu-sensei had sacrificed himself to take one of them down- you’d honor his memory by helping Danzo take down another.

Kisame approaches slowly, smile wide. He certainly doesn’t seem concerned- but is that his confidence, or is just he just insane? Surely, arguments could be made either way.

Regardless, his large frame bears down on you- and once again you prepare to fight for your life....

Hoo boy. His water element beats our fire, and lightning isn't particularly good vs water either. Melee is unthinkable due to his sword and strength, so my suggestion is to either prolong the fight by using more tools or something that doesn't rely on chakra-heavy jutsus.

Don't forget he has INSANE chakra pools.
>>
>>790168
Okay, so I think the gist of this is to blow Kisame up from afar while Danzo keeps him from directly ganking our asses.

Would it be better to send out some clones to keep him from killing us too easily or would it be better to conserve the chakra for stellar arts?

My suggestion for this fight is Genjustu with Danzo's help and then try to disarm him, sure the sword may return somehow but if we blast him without it the damage may stick. Maybe Samehada won't like our chakra.

Hahaha, genjutsu, as if Tsuki has any real offensive genjutsu techs to use. She does have illusions and stuff to aoid hits with, but nothing that affects the opponent. Check pastebin at OP for people that wants a list of stuff she can do.

Besides, with his huge Chakra pool and long experience fighting other types of ninjas, AND having Shisui as a partner for potential Genjutsu defense training, I donno about using any normal genjutsu at all on him.

While you begin to formulate a plan, Danzo- or rather, several Danzos- run past you, directly towards Kisame.

As they go to engage, Kisame rushes towards them, his smile wide.

He swings his massive sword upwards- then spins, hitting everything near him. Most of the clones are dispatched in this single swing, though a few that were merely clipped by the swing remain.

Shadow clones, Old-timer? You’ll need a lot more than that to beat me! Hahahahaha!

The real Danzo stands beside you, unfazed.

“Kisame Hoshigaki. Among your peers, you are highly prized- you have one of the highest bounties known to the five nations. I have no doubt you have earned that reputation- but attacking Konoha will be your final error in judgement. Even as the tree burns, the roots stand healthy and strong- strong enough to strangle the life out of you.” Danzo lectures.

You certainly are confident, for a fossil. Maybe I should crush the girl first, and see how strong your resolve is?” Kisame laughs- his sharp, shark-like teeth gleaming in the setting sun.

You don’t know Danzo’s full strength- and thus, it will be difficult to plan effectively. You decide to…

1. Let Danzo do the heavy lifting, and attack from range.

2. Disobey Danzo, and engage Kisame in melee. Engage afterglow to compensate.

3. Let Danzo handle Kisame, and try instead to effect the battlefield with your Phoenix Flowers.

4. Do something else entirely. (Write-in)

I WOULD choose to just attack from range, but I don't want to let this fight to go on too long when Danzo doesn't have all the chakra like this guy does. Besides, one good support jutsu to keep a battlefield advantage shouldn't be too hard to maintain even with 50% chakra in us.

I suspect he'll do the whole 'water everywhere' thing and put them all out if they start to get annoying.
>>
>>790466
Agreed, since his water stuff will negate our fire somewhat. I'm just hoping the fact that it's plasma and not just normal fire will help mitigate that chakra nature disadvantage.

Danzo creates several more shadow clones, before joining in the battle himself. With his sharingan active, Danzo is able to able to dodge Kisame’s blows- only occasionally substituting with a shadow clone to absorb a hit. His offense is a mix of several offensive fire techniques- although Kisame doesn’t seem particularly bothered by any of them, dodging out of the way of the major attacks, or just tanking hits from the smaller ones if dodging would put him at a disadvantage.

It’s obvious to you- and likely Danzo himself- that he will lose this fight if it continues like this.

Thankfully, you’re here to help him.

You begin to knead fire chakra in your stomach, slowly infusing stellar chakra into it as you go. Your Phoenix Flowers have always been reliable, and you hope this fight will be no different.

As Danzo continues to keep the Akatsuki member busy, you release Phoenix FLowers rapidly, hoping to take control of the field of battle as quick as possible…

You’re able to create a good number of Phoenix Flowers before Kisame actually notices what you’re doing.

By then, however, it’s too late- the azure fireballs have completely surrounded your portion of the battlefield, blocking off the three of you from any of the other Akatsuki members.

[+10 Battlefield control bonus!]

Ah, these certainly are pretty. Learned something new since our last meeting, girl? Maybe that huge light in the sky was you as well, eh? Probably could’ve taken out the Kazekage’s little brat before he destroyed half your village- but I guess that’s just too bad! Hahahaha!” Kisame taunts. His carefree demeanor still hasn’t changed, even though he should be a clear disadvantage.

You need only to command them to detonate, and your Phoenix Flowers will follow through- but they are best utilized as support, allowing you or others to set up stronger techniques. You may not have that luxury now, though.

“Tsuki. Let us combine our strength against him! Fire on my mark!” Danzo shouts as he and Kisame continue to struggle.

You….

1. Trust in Danzo’s plan!

2. Will do it on your own- he just needs to distract him!

Motes is basically Pheonix Flowers.

I like the Fog idea, but that is gonna be something tricky to get down without burning Tsuki alive.

Honestly I think we just need to improve our Chakra usage and other types of Jutsu right now. Stellar has some plenty of good stuff going for it, but we need to have something for when we don't wanna kill someone or we face our counter.

Well in that case Motes seems like a natural extension of Phoenix Flowers. I still would rather focus on gitting gud about other jutsu types like Genjutsu and Kenjutsu first. We don't need to focus on them, but something in them would be nice.
>>
>>790785
Very cool. Electro pulse orb seems more like EMP, which isn't useful in a world with little electronics. But maybe electricity can stun in AOE anyways?

Stellar Fog looks cool, but also looks totally useless due to how hot that would make the air around. Which Tsuki isn't immune to.

Sweeping beam could be useful, along with focus beam. But that laser looks most useful with the sheer penetration potential. Heavily armored opponents/buildings and monsters comes to mind as targets.

“Of course!” You shout back.

Kisame looks between the two of you, amused.

Student and Teacher, huh? Good thing I have a partner of my own…” Kisame muses.

He seems to be addressing… the sword?

Even stranger, the blade seems to respond to this, shuddering and quaking beneath the bandages. It’s… alive?

Kirigakure’s legendary blades certainly are unique- you’d love to learn more about them in the future.

“Wind Release: Vacuum Spheres!” Danzo’s voice echos- snapping you back to reality. He’s released a massive amount of swirling balls of air- and while a few have targeted Kisame, who dodges with ease, most are bound for your Phoenix Flowers. When the two techniques connect- your Phoenix Flowers seem to have doubled in size!

The two abilities seem to feed off one another- the swirling blue spheres are each nearly the size of a Great Fireball!

Fire Chakra does feed off of Wind Chakra- this must have been his plan. Thankfully, you are able to retain control over these “Flowers”, if you can even call them that anymore.

Kisame’s expression has changed, however. His smile is gone- replaced not with worry, but a look of calm determination.

This unsettles you- but you must remain focused, and wait for Danzo’s signal. Your mentor has switched tactics, engaging Kisame with Wind-based techniques, since the regular fire techniques were proving ineffective. However, he still hasn’t given you the signal….

Seeing the effect of your combination, Danzo smiles.

Kisame, though, is quickly upon him- it seems the Akatsuki member is no longer in a mood to play games.

In an effort to keep the Kiri shinobi guessing, however, Danzo changes tactics, instead rushing headlong at Kisame. He’s caught off guard, and seems to have difficulty wielding his larger sword in such a confined space. Danzo’s clones get in a few strikes- seemingly doing very little- before they are dispelled with the bandaged blade’s considerable bulk. Eventually, only one Danzo remains- but as Kisame brings the blade down overhead, Danzo catches it with his mechanical arm.

Heh- fancy tools aren’t going to save you- Samehada will consume your chakra with every strike! It’s impossible to wear me down, old-timer!” Kisame taunts.

The Akatsuki member tries to pull back his blade- but is unable to, Danzo’s mechanical arm gripping it tightly.

“Who said anything about wearing you down? I’d prefer you to die, Kisame Hoshigaki.” Danzo responds calmly.

His free hand makes a series of signs- and large black seals spread across Kisame’s body.

Hrgk- what did you-” Kisame grunts through gritted teeth.

“A Paralyzing Self-Cursing Seal. Hardly strong enough to hold someone like you for too long- however…” Danzo explains.

Letting go of the blade, Kisame falls over, apparently unable to move at all.

“Tsuki, now!” Danzo commands.

Nodding, you command the empowered Phoenix Flowers to descend on the defenseless Kisame…..

You suppress the urge to laugh- surely the fight isn’t over quite yet.

You cannot see Danzo- though you’re sure he likely left the blast radius.

As the smoke from the blast begins to clear, though, it’s clear something is moving- Kisame stands- a great sphere of water surrounding him. He clearly is badly burned- the wounds are visible even though the distortion of the churning water.

Before he’s able to release his defensive technique, however-

SUMMONING TECHNIQUE!” Danzo’s voice cries out from the other side of Kisame.

It’s followed by smoke- then a thunderous *CRASH*.

Something roars- so loudly that you believe you might go deaf!

What could it possibly-

Your thought process is interrupted as all the smoke is sucked toward the source of the noise- it’s gigantic!

It looks like a giant version of Yume- but alive, and quite angry!

It continues to breath deeply, sucking in anything and everything nearby.

Kisame struggles to resist the suction- it’s so powerful that it threatens to even pull you off of your feet…..

No- you won’t give in! This is the perfect opportunity to take him out!
You plant your feet, channeling chakra through them as if you were standing on water.

Looking forward, you can see Kisame’s water barrier has been pulled away, leaving only him struggling against the pull. As close as he is to the creature, it is likely taking all of his strength-

You smile.

This should strengthen your fire techniques as well, right?

Guys, it is extremely unlikely that we will get another chance to hit him while his water is deprived from him, AND he is unable to dodge due to vacuum, AND wind amplifying our fire. I'm not so sure about suing Afterglow here, but YES to one big stellar fireball now!

Please remember that Danzo does not have that much chakra in comparison to the other big-hitters, and that summoning big thing cost lots of chakra. This is not a chance that will come again any time soon.

Bullet is the lowest fire jutsu we know, fireball is a tier above it.
>>

Dragon Fire and Fireball are more powerful, but take up 5% more chakra. Fire Bullet is good damage with a hard to remove dot, but if anyone can remove that dot it would be shark boy here.
>>
>>791310
Fireball is more offensive. bullet is good vs single target, but is is most basic technique in terms of power. Fireball is bigger, has AOE splash, and able to cover more of Kisame's body and immediate surroundings.
I figure, it would roast him from the outside to the inside with the heat around him, even if it doesn't kill him immediately on hit.
Basically, we'll dry this bastard up real good at the minimum. Let's see how a fish feels when it's seriously deprived of water.

“Great… Stellar Fireball!” You yell, exhaling the blue orb of Stellar flame.

As it flies directly towards Kisame, it grows-

And grows-

And grows, until the it’s nearly triple its normal size.

Kisame’s eyes widen- and as a reflex, he brings the blade down in front of him.

Defend me, Samehada! It’s time for your meal!” Kisame shouts- his sword begins to shudder and shake in response.

The fireball collides with the weapon- causing the attack to rupture, spewing forth molten stellar chakra.

There’s a screeching noise- like some sort of animal squealing in pain.

Kisame is on one knee, gripping the revealed Samehada. With it’s bandages burned away, it looks like no weapon you’ve ever seen- like some giant, scaled leech, open mouth and all. It seems charred- and smoke is emanating from its open jaws.

Seems Samehada hates your chakra, kid. It doesn’t like spicy things- and apparently yours is like biting into the sun itself. I guess I’ll need to do things myself- come, Samehada! Bind yourself to me!

Kisame rips off the burnt remains of his cloak, and holds the sword close- it looks like it’s beginning to fuse to his body!

You need to interrupt it- but there’s no way you can get that close without getting sucked in!

“Vacuum Serial Waves!” You hear Danzo shout from above- great blades of wind strike all around Kisame, who doesn’t even try to dodge.

Danzo lands next to you- the suction of the large beast doesn’t seem to affect him at all.

He’s cradling the blade…. It continues to meld into him!

Danzo and you exchange looks briefly- before the elderly shinobi runs right at Kisame!

DWMA quest.

It's... Apparently doing well? Based on Soul Eater. No canon characters save a few important ones, I'm explaining how things work in-character as Tony learns about them. He's a bit unique in that he has a witch in his bloodline, and he CAN access that power, though he hasn't yet. Through luck and patience, he's already managed to get one soul for his current partner, Kia, a small-figured island girl who becomes a spear. Tony and Kia bully each other.

Anyways, I'll stop sucking my own dick and latch back on to Wargle's now.
>>
>>791481
Aw shit shit SHIT! We've got to hit him and hit him hard NOW before the melding is complete! Danzo's going for the interference, but we need max power at him as soon as we can!

See http://naruto.wikia.com/wiki/Samehada: by completely merging with Samehada. Doing so causes him to become much more shark-like in appearance, growing fins and webbed hands that allow him to move through water with considerable ease. Kisame also receives some of Samehada's abilities while in this form, such as being able to extend spikes from his body for offence, and absorbing chakra when others come into direct contact with him, as well as the ability to track chakra and avoid sensors.

Fuck no, Do NOT let this happen!

Dude, Stellar is all about fire and lightning, thus the techs is works with to make new ones are fire and lightning base ones, or non-elemental ones like clone. Since earth is like the opposite of lightning, I don't think that would work at all with stellar.

"It" might work but I imagine we are too low on chakra to pull it off. Maybe we can Palpatine him to let Danzo prepare a powerful technique? It seems like Samehada is harmed if it tries to absorb stellar chakra at the least.
>>

But what would happen if you did an earth jutsu but used Stellar chakra? When we made our Stellar versions all we did was use Stellar chakra instead, so I don't see a reason why it wouldn't work.
>>
>>791494
Time for a 360 degree explosion of stellar fire.
>>
Okay, idea. Get all Fate Stay Night up in this bitch.

By which I mean, Danzo and Tsuki both grab a sword and channel their chakra into it. Stellar for Tsuki, Wind Vacuum for Danzo, make an ungodly powerful chakra infused blade to kill Kisame fused with Samehada.

The symbolism will make this crazy plan work.
>>
>>791512
*sigh*.... That's all because when we made the stellar jutsus by modifying other jutsus, those jutsus were are all either fire or lightning based. Since they are part of stellar's chakra nature, they can be used to make similar jutsus due to similarity in chakra nature.

Earth however, shares no similarity at all to stellar. Seriously, as the QM, I'll bet there's no such thing as using earth jutsus to make new stellar jutsus.
>>
>>791520
I get what your saying, but there is no reason we couldn't use stellar chakra to power an Earth jutsu. Hell it might just make the jutsu not work at all, but at least logically it should have some effect on the jutsu
>>
>>791527
Stellar is a mix of fire and lightning. Add Earth and it ceases to be Stellar.
>>
>>791527
I'm really sorry man but there is. Each chakra has a unique feel you can't just switch it for a different type to change the elemental effect. Earth aint happening dude.

Give it up, whatever earth Jutsu your thinking of we'll have to either learn and use normally or make a new technique from scratch.
>>
Does everyone else agree that Stellar Phoenix flower is the mvp of this conflict? That bonus is insanely useful, and it's cheap enough to justify using it everywhere. We need to put some work into refining it into something truly amazing. Someone above mentioned the idea of "Stellar Mist", and I think it has potential. Maybe a combination of pheonix flower and that thing that sprays out stellar "sparks"
>shoot out a cloud of extremely large numbers of small balls of light
>they obscure sight and obstruct movement
>they move around to make room for our allies and cluster around our enemies
>on hit they cause small, but powerful explosions
>a few hits are nothing to write home about, but anyone who tries to run through the field is turned into smouldering Swiss-cheese
>Detonate the entire field at once for a Stellar thermobaric bomb
We can call it Stellar Release: Nebula

I don't quite remember where I mentioned it- but >>791520 is correct. You can add stellar to techniques of it's component elements, but not to ones that are not. It's like using them to power up that technique.

Earth, Water and Wind are not directly compatible, though boosted Fire techniques still benefit from Wind as fuel, as you've seen.

Danzo jumps at Kisame, trying to use the suction to put more power behind his strike- but Kisame catches his blow in midair. His hands are webbed, and he’s beginning to take on more pronounced, sharklike features.

I probably don’t need to go this far- but you hurt Samehada. I don’t want to give you enough time to think up something else… I’ll tear your flesh from your bones, old man!”

Danzo twists out of Kisame’s hand, but the Akatsuki, who was large before, is now nearly double Danzo’s height, and still seems to be growing.

“Wind Release: Vacuum Great Sphere!” Danzo shouts in response, loosing a large sphere of force at point blank range upon Kisame.

He’s forced backwards, slightly- but his feet have grown talons, or something similar, and they are digging into the earth.

He’s trying to force him into Baku’s mouth? For what purpose…?

No- it’s probably doesn’t matter. It’s the only plan you have- and with this most recent power up, it’s impossible to think you truly have a chance at defeating Kisame head on.

It hates stellar, huh….?

You…

You really don't have enough chakra to pull it off right now. It's why it isn't listed as an option. It would also require prep time that you don't have.

What? NO. Read the pastebin! http://pastebin.com/WiPdCqLH

Stellar Release: Shooting Star Technique: Create a shining ball of pure Stellar energy. By firing off this energy, weaker targets my be incinerated completely, or alter states of matter. Volatile, and dangerous on exposed skin. Mitigated by non-conducting armors.

Stellar Release: "It" or "That": Release all your Stellar energy into a large blast of energy! Very dangerous, and almost always fatal to those not sufficiently protected. User must stay in one place to charge, will nearly deplete the user of Chakra. Easier to use when utilized in conjunction with Shadow Clones, though all beams must strike the enemy to have a similar effect.

We can't even use IT right now

You breathe in, and out.

You’re only going to get one shot at this, after all.

You begin to collect stellar chakra in your right hand, forcing it to condense.

Feeding it a steady stream of energy, you feel the small sphere of energy grow heavier as you slowly trudge towards the two shinobi. It’s difficult to walk, with that beast still sucking in air- and even more difficult when carrying the Shooting Star. It’s so much easier in Afterglow…

Danzo and Kisame’s hands are locked- Danzo is stronger than he looks, but there’s no way he can keep him there for long.

The Shooting Star grows ever heavier in your hand- but it’s ready.

You break out in a run, towards both men- and, when you reach a quick enough pace, you utilize the shunshin, taking advantage of your small frame to appear right between both men.

Kisame’s eyes widen- in shock, or maybe fear?

It’s a good look for him, either way.

“Stellar Release! Shooting Star!” You scream, projecting the ball of energy forward, directly into Kisame’s chest.

He roars in pain- but the technique isn’t making any headway! Surely his hide isn’t that tough?!

Not today, you little brat! Die!

He breaks his left hand from Danzo’s, and swats you away with all of his might!

His giant clawed hand hits your arm, first- a sickening crunch, followed by white hot pain.

The attack immediately dissipates, cut off from it’s source of energy, and you’re sent rolling, nearly soaring, into a nearby tree. Everything hurts- it’s taking all you have just to stay conscious.

Vision hazy, you look towards the two men.

With his mechanical arm free, Danzo has pointed it directly towards Kisame’s chest wound- his wrist joints go slack, revealing…. Something. There’s a large crack- like an explosive tag going off.

You see Kisame forced off of his feet, spinning uncontrollably into the large animals mouth. As soon as he’s inside, the mouth closes- you can tell his lungs must be near capacity.

BAKU: RELEASE!

There’s another loud *CRACK*, as if something was fired at high speed- but you cannot quite see clearly....

As your vision fades, you can make out Danzo, limping towards you- his mechanical arm blackened and in tatters.

You don’t see Kisame.

You smile- at least he’s gone.

At that, you surrender to the darkness.
>>
>>791684
Well that's an arm gone, ain't it?

Now Tsuki and Danzo can be cyborg buddies!

We still don't know of any metal that can handle Stellar. So if we get a mechanical arm there is a chance we would have to try and learn to do Stellar one handed.
>>
I am 100% pro arm sling kimono, like dear ole papa danzo. Also 100% behind spending essence like we spend dat green. Mecha-Tsuki incoming.
>>
>>792081
Chakra conducting metal can't be INFUSED with stellar chakra.
That means no plasma cutter bulshit edge sword.
Now if we go the cannon way, nothing prevents us from plating the barrel with ceramic plates.
>>
>>792088
That would still be very hard to get right and likely isn't worth the risk of using a Stellar jutsu too powerful and melting the arm in the middle of a fight.
>>
>>792088
>>792092

It's entirely possible that at greater levels of Stellar release/Control we can do that without melting the metal, we are this point basically just shoving it in there. Remember, Pein had an arm laser, though he is a fucking cheater it gives some ideas.

Like, would we be capable of having a Stellar-capable Chakra-conducting blade/metal/whatever if we channel Stellar chakra into the metal during the forging process? The refining process? It might be something like this that gave rise to Hatake's White Chakra Saber.

Except.

Y'know.

Not just a fancy tanto of equivalent level to a normal lightning and or wind conducting tanto.
>>
>>792099
Later on once we know for sure something can take Stellar, sure. But for now I think it is best to wait and see if we even lost the arm. If we had a super fucked up leg I would be totally down for it, but hands are a pretty important thing for a ninja.
>>
>>792092
Tbf I don't know if we're bound to use our arms as a vector for our justus.
Most of them we belch. The only thing we only used our arms for and can't do one handed is "that".
Meanwhile a mechanical arm, has greatly increased strengh as we've seen with danzo. I'm not advocating using samehada like other anons said but we totally would lift it with an augmented arm.
There have been many other situations where anons have wanted more taijustu potential in tsuki. This is a good way to get a meaningful boost in that regard. Also an excellent vector for many gadgets we've come up with for puppets but don't want to use since we don't have the metaphorical inventory slots.
>>
>>792109
The main jutsu that sticks out to me is Afterglow. While it isn't pumping Stellar into us, I'm sure it would have some weird effects with a mechanical limb.

Taijutsu is just for Kenjutsu which we just need to learn when we have time. Then we can use our speed for swords instead of strength.
>>
>>792114
I actually think thoses weird effects could be on the intresting side.
And while we only need the minimum requirements in taijustu for wielding the swords, a robot arm has more strengh and can parry/deflect more heavy blows. Since we're kind of on our way to antagonise most of the seven swordsmen, that wouldn't be too shabby.
And we can use our lightning to power and occasionally supercharge the arm.
>>
>>792120
I think the most I would be willing to vote for is a brace of sorts to help set the bones back in as they heal. Everyone wins there, we still keep an arm, but it gives us a glimpse into the world of Mecha Tsuki to see how it reacts to our stuff.
>>
>>792121

Again, people are going under the assumption that Tsuki's arm didn't survive a glancing blow from the MEGARAGESHARK whose main defining characteristics are it's strength and the fact that everything it touches with malicious intent is rendered into torn shreds and a rather interesting stain.

Because it's best to plan for the worst.
>>
>>792127
Eh, I for one am under the assumption that it was a pretty messy wound, with bone showing and all that, but still treatable if we get the proper level of help. Maybe even get a quest to look for Tsunade if it's too much for the remaining healers in Konoha.

I know, but the transformation wasn't quite done. I'm mostly just trying to inject some stuff because the robo arm is going to happen if it was off 100%. Despite what people seem to think, Wargle isn't a killer QM.

>>792133
I really doubt we would go to look for her while down an arm. We can take the chance to bond with Dad and do some politics to MKGA.
>>

Wargle is not a killer QM, but he's a QM that absolutely loves cool shit, if he sees cool shit and he can make it work, he'll probably throw it in there.

Also guys I just remarked the kibas look just like masiko's swords.

Danzo certainly didn't seem to have any problems using his Jutsu and techniques with his mechanical arm.

Something Something Filler Episode that was basically The Color Out of Space: Ninja Magic Edition.

And when it comes to the Ninja world and Chakra/YinYang/Soul dynamics, probably not that long as it would be mostly powered by his own chakra and essentially register as part of his body.
>>
>>792156
Sounds cool and good point. Also I'm sure Wargle would give us the option to amputate it anyways if the arm is still around. But going that hard for a mechanical arm might get us some strange reactions from others.

Stellar clay however would be fucking dope. Shit would basically be animated super napalm.
>>
>>792191

Anon.

Deidara's explosive clay was Earth+Fire release.

We may not be able to create Stellar Earth, but we can definitely create Stellar Fire.

Although the lightning properties of Stellar release may render it inert. :/

Oh that arm. That's different then.

>>
>>792224
That could actually make sense.
It doesn't explode properly because of the infused lightning chakra, but it sticks and burns like a montherfucker.
>>
>>792228

I . . . then why does Lightning chakra deactivate the explosive properties in Deidara's clay?

Actually, on second thought, I'd rather not go with Deidara's arm, if we want explosives on hand we can always learn a bit of sealing and have Stellar-based explosive tags / traditional grenades.
>>
>>792234
Exactly, this could let us stick it to a target and save chakra while playing defensive.

>>792235
Lighting > Earth. I'm actually for it if we can find the arm.
>>
>>792234
>Create cute little animals to 'hug' enemies.

Because he's not using regular explosion release, he stole the secret technique for infusing explosion release into clay from his village, which is an earth style technique.
>>
>>792224

Stellar Phosphex.

Prosphex in one of the actual "Actually a fucking Warcrime even in 40k" level weapons, it's basically the love child of white phosperous, napalm, a poorly shielded nuclear reactor, and FOOF.

Oh, and the flames can burn in Space and have a property that makes them actively seek out movement, and alongside the radiation and total destruction they are doing they also poison the environment.

Kek, true.
We can just get the whole arm tattooed to the proper shade.
>>
>>792281
Muh plot.
His whole collecting techniques thing was great, but he was super shit at using them tactically.

Speaking of, we should learn some powerful genjutsu.
We pretty much only have what amount to 1-hit kills that take a ton of chakra or cover a wide area at once.

If we have some powerful genjutsu, we can just put a lot of enemies to sleep and slit their throats, saving us a ton of chakra.
We already have decent scores in genjutsu anyways and some prior training in defence against them, so it shouldn't be difficult.
>>
>>792281
he got his shit "whooped" but is nigh unkillable
and he could have played his cards better with his impure world resurrection and rolled over everyone

So no problem them. If he had any lingering spirit bullshit I'm sure it would even get along since Tsuki seems to like watching her Stellar burn more as time goes on.

No, basic genjutsu is shit and practically useless.
We need to learn high-level eye techniques from itachi, anything we're capable of doing without having a sharingan yet
>>
>>792293
And Gaara and Sharkboy
>>
>>792296
I say basic, but I just mean SOMETHING. I'd settle for some mid level stuff to throw out to buy us a time and deal with crowds without having to smell burnt corpses.

Arm stuff aside, I think if we focus on any of our Stellar Jutsu more it should be Phoenix Flowers. That shit is so good and if we can make it any better we should go for it over almost anything.
>>
>>792305
Of course you need the whole range, but the high-level stuff is what really matters.
>>
>>792296

God, I absolutely love how Tsuki is basically guaranteed from all vectors to go SOME form of Transhuman route.

Let's see.

Her daddy is a Megacorp Mechanical genius that tinkers with METAL GEAR-level things and cyberchakranetic limbs and parts. Her momma agreed for her to be a prenatal genebaby in an experiment to make her into a super potent soldier if she decided to be one, her favorite Uncle/Grandfather figure is a cyborg and is fully on the rails with modifying his own body to say "No." to silly things like limb loss and the like, her Genetherapist is on the path to Biotranshumanism. Her name and theme is based on the Moon, which always has Eldritch themes to it -even in Naruto it has the fucking Juubi sealed inside it and Kaguya, Primordial and Divinity.
>>
So what Jutsu do you people think Maru is best at? My bet is Genjutsu.
>>
>>792316
Yeah, i'm interested for sure to see where this goes.
We gotta get that arm, and steal a sharingan at some point.

>>792319
I'd say she's a full on taijutsu master.
Maru STRONK, just like tsunade.
>>
>>792319

>>
>>792319
Taijutsu. She's probably excellent at using CQC. Ninja-maids!
>>
>>792326
I'm just wondering because I remembered she was our other option besides Danzo.

>>792327
I expect her to be a Snek Spy honestly.
>>
>>792316
She's got options sure, but I'd prefer to go for them only if the real arm is totally unsalvageable. Deidara's arm can be preserved as a spare in case the worst ever happens.
>>
>>792331
While the explosive arm is very very tempting, I think this is the right idea. But if the arm transplant is a limited time thing we should take it.
>>
>>792337

Eh. I'm for healing Tsuki's normal arm while we can, Deidara's arm can go and be dissected / reverse engineered.
>>
>>792342
I probably will be back for healing once the hype of the idea wears down.
>>
Why can't we make a chakra power armour? Then we can just stick fucking anything on it.
>>
>>792331
That's dumb.
Naruto is a world where you can just steal eyeballs and have them work just fine.
There's no good reason not to steal deidara's arm. At the very worst, we just use it like our regular arm.
There are no drawbacks.
>>
>>792342
Technically, we only really need the hand-mouth, not anything else. I'm sure we can find space for it somewhere.

By the way, has anyone thought about just raising Tsuki's arm total to 3 or 4? Think of all the utility for hand seals.
>>
>>792360
I'll admit, that's an interesting idea.
But it's been done before, and it's a little too weird for my taste.
>>
>>792360
We would likely need some very special shit for that. Even more than we already have.

>>792358
This is a good point.
>>
>>792360

Madara's SHINRA TENGAI required three constantly maintained hand seals.

Then again, Ninjutsu and Handseals are basically training wheels for Chakra usage.
>>
Another idea if we go Clay Arm. If we spend enough time and chakra prepping it. Napalm Clones y/n?
>>
>>792358
>There's no good reason not to steal deidara's arm.
Steal? no problems. useful one way or another.

>At the very worst, we just use it like our regular arm.
>There are no drawbacks.

Ahahhahahaha!!! Right, using another different person's arm like our own, as if it was plug-n-play. Also, no drawback, like say the whole different nerves that it has, or the different composition that can mess with Tsuki's chakra flow. This is still not considering what Tsuki's own thoughts on that subject would be, such as whether or not she would want to do something as weird/crazy like that when she has the option to heal the natural one she was born with.

Yeah no. I'm all for looting bodies what all their worth, and preserving body pieces in the same way eyes can be preserved. But going straight for transplanting? nope, not my first choice.
>>
>>792379
>Tsuki's own thoughts on that subject
That's my main concern. I find it cool, but would Tsuki ? How would we justify her getting that idea in the first place ?

Also, wouldn't the arm be too big for her body and have gross man hair ? Deidara was a guy and older than her.
>>
>>792379
They literally rip people's eyeballs out, pop them into their own heads and begin using them immediately.
Body parts are plug-n-play in naruto, there's no issue with nerve damage or tissue rejection in this world, probably due to all the medical ninjutsu.

As for tsuki's thoughts, in case you had not noticed, WE ARE TSUKI. Our thoughts ARE her thoughts.
Are you just retarded, or have you not been paying attention throughout this quest? We're already a mutant supersoldier baby.

There's no fucking reason not to collect and use better body parts if we can, none.

>>
>>792432
Low and mid-level genjutsu is only really good for say, subtle alterations to the environment.
Say placing a tree somewhere that doesn't exist to hide a trap or an attack, or making it look like at attack you just launched is going to miss when it's actually not.

Proper, high level genjutsu can do that, and more.
You can fully create whole new environments, seal someone's movements, alter their perception of time, stimulate their senses and so on.
The best thing you can do with genjutsu is make an enemy think he's not in one.

Say, create a powerful illusion which is just the exact same environment that we were already in, and allow him to keep fighting us, even winning while under the genjutsu, while we can do whatever we want to their body in the real world. Easy kill.
>>
>>792449

>>

>>
>>792461
Eh, you could argue that together with protecting a comrade, the fact that Naruto managed Kage Bunshin would mean that the last obstacle to him becoming a genin was gone. No idea how they justify Lee though. Maybe Gai picked him directly when he couldn't make it through?(No idea if something about it was ever stated in canon tho.)
>>
>>792473

Yeah, I think that's just him being a braying jackass because this world's Naruto wasn't a loser that softened his heart.

"Oh, I'm sorry, you are better than everyone else and the next top two students combined at most of these things, but you are slightly below the threshold physically, despite physical conditioning and training is the easiest of the shinobi arts and you should be perfectly fine in a month of dedicated physical conditioning so you can't pass."
>>
>>792454
Yes I know all of this

But low level genjustu takes a lot less chakra to do and people are less likely to notice it and resist

There's also the fact that everything you just described is baisclly only possible with bullshit eyes

Like if we just plopped Hinata right on there, we'd gain all the power and lewd of a Hinata AND a Tsuki.

Though that might be a wee bit too OP.

Okay, I just had a crazy idea.

The chakra radiation that the Hoshi meteorite emits is powerful and highly conducive to chakra control, but it kills the people who are exposed to it.

Suppose that we procured a piece somehow and used it in a shielded container as a chakra source for our mechs/airships. We would have an effectively perpetual source of energy, and nobody would be getting harmed because machines don't get corrupted by the radiation.
>>
>>794325
No, we know nothing of the meteorite and it might not even be a thing. We are also down an arm for now so no going on missions.
>>
>Tsuki just broke her arm
>Can be healed
>Anons want to cut it off
Why?
>>
>>794336
To be fair, Yoru is constantly on the lookout for new sources of energy that could potentially be used for his airship, and Hoshigakure is actively striving to obtain exposure and respect among the Nations.

It's not unlikely at all that he might catch wind of Hoshi's existance from one of his branch offices or trade partners, even if only in passing.

>>
I must admit Stellar Clay figures and stuff could be fun, we'd basically have Thermite charges instead of grenades. We can sculpt it into many forms making our own Mines, seeking bombs, clones etc. They would save alot of chakra provided they have the clay....and since we have a habit of making it rain and making the ground muddy we'll likely find more rather easily.
>>

And by the way, we're perfectly calm.
We *want* to replace our arm with deidara's to get his explosive clay.
>>
>>798221
We have a Dad who is a godlike inventor and Danzo knows how to graft some arms. Replacing an arm isn't that far fetched.
>>
>>798252
No, some of us do, others like me want to keep the perfectly natural arm that Tsuki grew up with so long as it can be healed.

Clay arm is for research and back-up, not first option.
>>
>>798264
This is just a case of how much we want to try something new. We can take the safe path and let our arm be healed to hopefully be as good as it was before.

Or we go for a risky way that will require us to get used to a new arm, but may have more benefits than a normal one.
>>
>>798264
And the rest of us think you're retarded because like you said, people recover from having giant holes blown in them and can pop other people's eyeballs out and start using them right then and there, and getting a replacement arm means basically nothing in terms of lost mobility or strength.
There are only benefits to taking it right away and you don't want to do it, because you're stupid.
>>
>>798275
>getting a replacement arm means basically nothing in terms of lost mobility and strength
Okay, I'm calling bullshit on this.

Unless you have a word of wargle establishing that, that's just an asspull based on how other shinobi have managed to reach their old capabilities with replacement limbs. You haven't accounted for the very real possibility that there was a period during which they had to adjust to parts that weren't naturally their own.
>>
>>798303
>that's bullshit because you're basing this on the fact that other people have done it
Are you listening to yourself right now?

Wargle said it'd take a month for our arm to heal.
We have at least that long to get used to it, and medical ninjutsu can heal almost anything.
>>
>>798275
How would you justify Tsuki getting the idea of going to look for Deidara's arm and getting it attached to her ? Considering Danzo's own arm, I think the first solution that'd come to her mind is to get a similar one. Unless some servant comes to her with the arm she's going to go with the most plausible solution.

Really I don't mind this whole thing, my only issue is that I don't want us to meta-game too much and force ideas onto Tsuki that she wouldn't normally have. She's a smart child but she's not full-blown Frankenstein yet.
>>
>>798303
I don't think we have more than maybe one fight before we have a timeskip at this point. But we are going to have to take time to heal or get used to the new limb anyways.
>>
>>798317
Because an anon thought of it, which means tsuki thought of it, and then a bunch of other anons thought it was a good idea.
You know, exactly how we decide literally everything.

We cut his arm off earlier, and wargle confirmed it's still just lying around after rolling off the roof.
>>
>>798317
>>798323
Technically it was Wargle who said it in the first place. So I'm pretty sure he is fine with it.
>>
>>798323
You know that's not what I'm saying.
When some anon says "Tsuki should trust Kaguya and love her straight away even though she impersonated Tsuki's dead mom !", everyone calls him out on it and calls him stupid. When someone wants Tsuki to defect and join the Akatsuki, others tell him that's retarded. This is the point I'm making.
We should at least try to make this arm thing in character for Tsuki.
>>
>>798315
You're making blind assumptions about the comparative difficulties of doing so, that's what I'm calling you on.

>>798320
That's true; I'm pretty sure it'd take much less than 3 years to acclimate if we chose to replace it, though it might still cut into training time if that period takes too much time for whatever reason. Still, that's shooting in the dark; best to wait until we have more info on what we're working with.
>>
>>798343
We could probably rationlize it as "My arm is really messed up. Danzo did a weird arm thing according to that asshole. I could do a weird arm thing too, but not kill someone for one!"

>>798346
Yeah, we could always hope for Ghost Deidara to work with us to make pretty art if wanna git gud fast.
>>
>>798346
I have never seen someone get a new limb and have any difficulty adjusting to it in this series.

If you want to claim that it's going to be some big fucking issue, then go find proof of it.
Go find some tertiary character somewhere that got his arm lopped off and couldn't use it for a while, then i'll give a shit.
>>
>>798323
You're worrying too much about being in character.
Just let us do what we want to do, and that's our fucking character.

Our whole shtick is literally "Rich upperclass family with lots of OHOHO's" and everything else is just doing what we feel like.
It's always been that way.
>>
>>798346
Agreed. I for one have no idea of the potential physical consequences of grafting someone else's arm onto Tsuki at the moment, particularly if it was an arm with weird stuff like a mouth on it that's designed for a technique that we don't even understand about. How would it interact with her, affect her, interfere with her, and all kinds of unforeseen consequences that could happen as a result of it.

Honestly though, for a normal person, when they see their own arm being all broken and needing treatment, do they first want to get the best help they can hire to heal it, or just lop it off and stick on someone else's special arm without knowing what could happen as a result? Is Tsuki the kind of person that would risk her potential future health for that? I know some anons are just crazy for it, but not sure if they can understand the difference between 'roleplaying' and Being the MC.
>>
>>798391
*wrong post
>>798317

We don't need to justify anything to anyone, we're just doing what we want to do.
>>
>>798394
Worst case scenario, we can't use his secret technique and we seal the mouth.

Like some anon said earlier, technically we only need the hand, not the whole arm.
>>
>>798399
We need someone to attach it.
>>
>>798409
Medical ninjas sound like a good bet.
Perhaps they know some sort of magical, all-healing "medical ninjutsu" that does anything healing related with nothing but a glowing green aura.
>>

>>798375
Kakashi literally keeps his Sharingan eye covered because he can't deactivate it and it drains his chakra.
>>
>>798437
The sharingan also drains chakra normally.
Not being able to turn our hand off isn't an issue if we don't keep feeding it clay, assuming it even does become an issue.

Besides, the sharingan is a kekkei genkai dojutsu, while explosive clay is a secret forbidden technique that technically anyone could learn, if they were able to get their hands on the knowledge.
>>
>>798437
>Deidara talks through the hand mouth

Personally I think grafting on a new arm is extremely retarded, and any attempt to make it in-character will be forced as fuck.
>>
>>798448
Oh my god, we can even be sassy with it.
>talk to the hand
>>
>>798451
Making it in character is a non issue. The stuff about how it would work is. For all we know Danzo could suggest it to us.
>>
... why would we even want deidara's arm?

that's retarded, just get a sick robot one, that's way more useful
>>
>>798466
People have listed reasons. We can learn to use the clay for tons of more utility. Also I personally like the idea more than the machine arm.
>>
>>798466
Because explosive clay.
Because stellar release + explosive clay.
Because talk to the hand.
>>
>>798470
>>798473
That's the dumbest shit in the world.
We should stick with the original, better plan of focusing on Stellar and those twin swords the Hokage owes us.
>>
>>798483
We've already trained stellar up to it's limit, we can't improve it further until we "become better as a ninja," whatever the fuck that means.

We can't train with swords while our arm is healing either way.
>>

You guys have certainly run wild with this, which I like. Understand that, as usual, considerations will be made for anons wishes to some extent, but convincing a 12 year old girl to lop her own arm off isn't a split second choice- and there will be a whole different sent of hurdles to overcome.

If it takes a month to heal Tsuki's arm from it's current damage, how long would it take to fully make the arm functioning, not reject Tsuki, and be able to start controlling the mouth, which Tsuki obviously has no experience doing?

Can Konoha's current medical staff even donthis procedure, or will you need someone more experienced to perform it? There are reasons why Danzo's Hashirama arm isn't floating around.

As for "in-character" arguements, Tsuki does have set personality traits that you have develped over 50 threads. I am the ultimate gatekeeper in keeping everything through her lense, and making her consistant and not schizophrenic as fuck. This is done through choices provided and tone of writing.

Besides, don't you think Iwa might want that arm? :'D
>>
>>798483
You don't need to be rude about it anon. I think machine arm is stupid. I want to let our arm go natural, but if we are going to replace it I want the clay.

Also I think the swords always have been a waste of time when we could have spent time training things we weren't ass at. Kiba or not.
>>
>>798500
I'd be alright with dad giving us a new arm if we aren't using deidara's since to cool factor is so high, but i definitely want to replace our arm either way.
>>
>>798503
Thank you for saying something on the matter before it boiled over into a live thread.
>>
>>798503
Don't worry, it won't be a split second choice. We'll have a full week to argue about it now.
>>
>>798503
>Besides, don't you think Iwa might want that arm
Unless they're willing to pay through the nose for it, we ain't giving it back. Regardless of whether or not we just use it as proof of Deidara's death so we can collect the bounty.
>>
>>798521
This.

>>
>>798528
What if we chopped off BOTH arms?
Deidara arm on one side, biggu bossu arm on the other.
That's like, four times better than regular arms.
>>
>>798503
Thank you QM! Finally we get confirmation on the damage level and how Tsuki has her own personality, and not just obeys to the will of anons like a robot.

If healing only takes one month though, then we should totally heal normally.
>>
>>798445
It's still a prime example of how replacements aren't as simply plug-and-play as you posit them to be.

To be clear, I very much do like the idea of getting his arm if the risks are acceptable, but we literally know none of the details about the risks involved, and you are adamantly insisting that they are minimal when you have no way of knowing that. I'm saying wait until we have more detailed info before deciding on the matter of the arm.
>>
>>798541
Wargle has passed judgement, they probably aren't as minimal as they are with tsunade around, i guess.
I'd still do it even if it was difficult to get used to, though.
>>
>>798539
Double the votes, double the shitstorms!

>>798540
We already knew the damage though. Also she does obey the will of anons because the will of anons over time made her who she is. I agree on the arm factor though.
>>
>>798540
It might take longer to get used to a new arm, but you also get an incredible new technique out of waiting a little longer.
Don't forget what you're passing up on when you just heal up normally.
>>
>>798556
I think at this point every side is just saying the same stuff over and over. Best to let it rest until we have more info.

>>
>>804955
The fact she was sealed inside a necklace is one. Also a Ninja outwardly trusting weird people sealed inside stuff is stupid. We need to be open to both sides and if either refuse to talk things out we tell them we are just gonna go with the other.
>>
>>804938
It would probably be based mostly around National Security. The only reason Danzo doesn't like the Uchiha is because he thinks they're a subversive element.
>>
>>804940

>5. [Tsuki Norihime???]
>>
>>804949
>not in danger of dying
In canon, he was looking to fix that because he thought Hiruzen was soft.

That's why canon Danzo was pretty unambiguously evil.

>>804955
Strictly speaking, Tsuki doesn't, but having been sealed for supposedly trying to do what's clearly the right thing should at least set off a warning light that she's not being completely straight with us.
>>
>>804955
From what I can gather that and four voices yelling fuck off are the only things against her.

For her is that she saved us from gaara in the exam. And that she so far seems ok.

I however am team bunny but not team kaguya, we offered to help the nanny bunny who was crying on the cliff not kaguya. I will see us keep that promise.

It doesn't mean I'll let us be kagyuas bitch. We also said we'd look into that last human survivor
>>
>>804955
I for one, Trust Kaguya Completely! at least in the interest of Tsuki anyways. This is mostly due to how she always tried to help and comfort her in her time of need. Pretending to be her mother when she was devastated about the truth of her mother, and even protecting her directly by fending off Shukaku's attack by giving it pain.

Seriously, while I'm not so sure about her plans for the world, I think she is pretty good to Tsuki at least.
>>
>>804979
But all of that is labeled as invalid as soon as we get raped by Satan 2
>>
>>804955
Well, assuming there are still stories about Kaguya that Tsuki could hear, she's basically Stalin. I don't mean in some sort of philosophical way, she grew paranoid about everyone else having chakra like her so she started going around killing literally anyone with chakra and absorbing it back into herself. Genocide, basically. And even if there aren't stories or records of her being akin to one of the most unarguably evil people to ever exist, that'll be enough once Tsuki finds out the truth.

>>
>>805024
No, not really. There were a few very enthusiastic anons for it. But once QM told us of the practical difficulties and how much faster it is to just recover normally, I think we'll be going for just looting and preserving it for now. Maybe even exchange it to Iwa if it's that politically useful.
>>
>>805005
Well, just cut off everything between my first and last sentence then. It pretty much answers the question. She's a genocidal maniac and Tsuki would know that if there are record of it. Again, assuming there are records. Wargle will have to WOG whether or not there are.

>>
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfkxxmKtxQw

Once more, you find yourself drifting upon a vast ocean- one that you’ve come to recognize.

Kaguya said this place, or rather, these places- are within your own mind. Dreams, or maybe your subconscious- it matters not. Now isn’t the time for this!

“WAKE”-

Normally, the thought alone would be enough to dispel this realm- but here you are, staring impassively at a sky at sunset, body resting upon the gentle waves of the dreamscape.

The moon hangs low in the sky, across from it’s solar twin- although you feel no pull from it, unlike before.

You….

1. Reach out to the Moon.

2. Reach out to the Sun, instead.

3. Try harder to wake up.

4. Attempt to meditate in this dreamlike state.

All of the options had a different outcome. Just because 3 had the effect of not going to the moon doesn't mean it was rigged. By the logic there are three options for not reaching out to the sun as well.

Stellar jets? impractical until Tsuki get's a lot more ranks in Stellar, Ninjutsu, and Control. Cuz one wrong move and you'd burn your own feet off.

I suggest reducing and focusing the output of 'It' to form a new laser-like move. One that won't burn us out in one use by using less chakra, and can be used at mid to maybe even long-range.

She helped you before, during your fight with Gaara…. Who knows, maybe she’ll be able to help you now?

As the moon slowly begins to rise, you reach out to it, with your left hand-

As you do so, you begin to sink beneath the waves, your vision beginning to blur…..

-----------------------------------------

When your vision clears, you are sitting on a wooden bench, amongst a beautiful garden. The cool night air nips at your exposed flesh, but it isn’t particularly uncomfortable.

“You’ve been quite the busy girl, Tsuki Norihime.” Kaguya’s voice hums- although you don’t see her anywhere.

“Yes, I- the village-” You start.

“Is under attack, yes. By men, acting with self-righteous justification. Not the first time, or the last. Man’s very nature fuels these conflicts.” The displaced voice continues

“We’ve discussed this before. Man does not change. I do not mean to sound insensitive to your plight, but this truth is absolute. Nothing has changed since my imprisonment.”

You frown. Coming here was a mistake- you wanted help, not a sermon.

“Now, now, child. None of that.”

Kaguya appears in front of you, her body shimmering in the moonlight. Her form is that of a grown woman, instead of the girlish form she has assumed in the past- but it could be nobody else.

Her pale arm, outstretched, offers you a cup of tea.

“Come, drink with me. You rarely visit me of your own accord, and I often find my ability to speak with you hampered. You have not done as I have asked- but I do understand that you are busy. I am not so unkind as to turn away a child seeking guidance.”

You…

1. Take the tea.

2. Do not take the tea.

>>
>>805412

if the Rabbits are directly connected to Kaguya, does that mean that they have lore on Chakra to the point to achieve the same results as all Bloodlines?
>>
>>805417
The tea is perfectly safe I'm sure. Might just show us her past or something. I voted on a gut and was too lazy to change. If the tea does do anything super weird though that is a point for anti Kaguya anons.
>>
>>805405
*sigh* Look, practically speaking, this is inside our dream/subconscious. So if merely taking a drink from Kaguya can do something to us, then wouldn't it be logical that she could've done so in some other undetectable way? Basically, if she does have the power to change us in our dream, then she could've done so already she she wanted.

I personally think of this as more of a relationship-development choice.

“Thank you.” You murmur, accepting the gift.

As she sits next to you, you take a sip- it tastes exactly like one of Maru’s sweet dessert blends- your favorites.

Of course it does.

Kaguya makes a point of stirring her tea, before gently tapping her teaspoon on the side of the cup.

“No, I didn’t pry. This is your subconscious- the tea would taste like whatever you wanted it to taste like. As I’ve said before, I hold little power here.” She remarks, as if reading your mind.

You sigh with relief.

“So, why have you come? I suspect we have little to actually discuss, for the time being.” She asks after gently sipping her own drink.

You…

1. Ask for her help to defend the village.

2. Are looking for direction, you suppose.

“I… am not sure, to be honest. Today has been difficult… I suppose, if nothing else, I sought comfort. Safety. Just…. a little reprieve from the chaos.” You admit.

A small smile appears on Kaguya’s face.

“Comfort? It has certainly been a long time since anyone has come to me for a such a thing. A human need- but an understandable one. As always, you are free to stay with me as long as you wish- though I suspect the outside world will need you eventually.”

She takes another drink, letting the comfortable silence will the garden.

Following her lead, you try to relax, to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere- and the tea.

Today has been stressful. So many people have died- your home was destroyed. You were able to save those you cared about- but had you done enough? Even now, they are still under threat. It’s frustrating. If only you had been stronger….

“Tell me, Tsuki.” Kaguya says, thankfully breaking your train of thought.

“Do your fellow humans still speak ill of me?”

“No, though it would be accurate to say they do not speak of you at all. I had never heard of your tale before grasping the vessel- though some among our most educated theorized about your existence. Some of your temples are just now being rediscovered- though who knows what they may glean from them.” You explain.

Kaguya doesn’t visibly react to this news, simply opting to take another drink.

“Human memories are short indeed- though I suspect my sons may have done much to limit knowledge of me from again becoming widespread.”

Her voice… it seems… sad, somehow.

“Humans are strange. Even after all this time, I cannot help but feel I cannot understand or fully predict them. My people, my sons- even Tenji. They all seem so… mercurial.”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTaA7ySG6gI

Tenji? That isn’t a name you’ve heard before.

“Tenji? Who might that be?” You ask.

“The father of my children.” She states emotionlessly.

Uh- what? She had said her children were half human, but you hadn’t really placed that much thought into it…

Your expression must have given away your shock- Kaguya continues to explain.

“He was a leader of men. He wanted peace- as I do. We spent much time together- and I beared his children.”

Color rises in your cheeks, slightly- a man was able to seduce a goddess? She freely admits this- certainly not the path you expected this conversation to follow.

“Did you love each other?” You ask with genuine interest.

She is silent, for a time- as if processing the question.

“Yes, I would say so. We shared the same ideals- and he was very protective of me, for many years.”

You… aren’t quite sure if that answered your question. Love… the Father speaks about Mother- to this day, he speaks with such passion and reverence for her.

Kaguya, though…

“What happened?” You inquire further.

“In the end, he betrayed me, as all men do. I was attacked by men seeking to kidnap me, to remove me from Tenji’s side. I resisted- and the men died. Tenji was horrified by this- other men would surely retaliate, and war would ensue. He tried to capture me as well- to answer for the crime of merely defending myself, when he would not.” She explains.

A man so dedicated to peace, that he would sacrifice his own lover to maintain it, even when she did no wrong…?

That is….

1. Admirable, in a way.

2. Pathetic! He should have protected you.

3. Hypocritical. She was not the cause of the conflict!

>3. Hypocritical. She was not the cause of the conflict
>Ask >>805925 ; Why did the men seek to remove her from her husband?
You don't get peace by simply removing everything that starts conflict.

You only get a tyranny where anybody who steps out of line is forcefully removed.

That said, we need to know for sure why they intended harm upon her. While it could easily have been as simple as personal gain, could there not have been more to it than it seems?
>>
>>805951
She's by no means a god, she's an alien. An Ayyyyy, she's not infallible or omniscient
>>
>>805954
also this is a time when only her and her children had chakra. This means there was a vast gulf in firepower. She might have been able to disable them.

She wasn't wrong. Just that there would have been a better way to go about it.
>>
Also incase anyone is retarded the best way to win a war before it begins is take hostages and blackmail the leader in this case with his wife.
>>
>>805951
She just ate a fruit that gave her magic powers and she thought she knew best. Which she didn't and no wonder she was betrayed.Kaguya is no god.
>>
Also, we ought to know where they were taking her. If they were just putting her in time out, that's one thing. If they're throwing her into a metaphorical volcano, that's another.

>>805954

I don't mean removing all conflict, or even all choice. I mean preventing a kidnapping from occurring. There's a point where it ceases to be a conflict of ideas where you discuss how to solve a problem, and then step forward to kidnapping.

It's more...someone is hungry. They have a knife, someone else has food. Ideally, you should engineer a situation where the other person has no need to use that knife to get the other person's food, and instead find a path where both can enjoy the food.

If that makes more sense. Not smacking everyone who falls out of line, more make a paradise where there is no need for deplorable acts.
>>
>>805954
I agree man. I want Tsuki to say something like that.

Why not only disable them?
Why they wnat to kidnap a peacefull godness? (greed, jealousy, what?)
Where you alone?

It was self defense, but, we need context.
>>

Wow some people tried to kidnap me!

"Well they must have had a reason! What did you do!"

"Why not be nice and gentle to the guys who tried to kidnap you!"

>>
>>805965
I sais pretty much because for all intent and purpose she is, nigh unkillable and almost unlimited power.

I'd say she was in the right, strong determine the world's rules. We do t get a pass just because we are human. And she did know more than them, way more.
>>
>>805974
If that's the case, then it's time to show her humans don't' need her. The human spirit is tougher than some pseudo-god.
>>
>>805973
I concur your only thought is get the fuck away. Police face the same issue, do I sit and think of all outcomes and maybe die or do I eliminate the threat.
>>
>>805973
>If someone ever tries to kidnap my ass namefag I'm not going to think, "Boy I should probably not kill these sons of bitches."
Agreed. The only reason I'd spare any of them at all is to get info, and even then I'm not so sure about letting potential enemies live.
>>
>>805973

Well there is also the question of, "How much does Kaguya outclass these guys?"

If a trio of genin (not from Team 7) try and kidnap a Kage, is the Kage really in danger? Not really. If they let them, the Kage is clearly humoring the genin. Killing the genin would be over the line and unnecessary.

Also the intent the kidnappers would also factor in.

And finally...keep in mind Kaguya is framing the story to make her more sympathetic. We're probably missing relevent information.
>>
>>805967
You misunderstand, I was agreeing with you.

I was noting that her husband's behavior (from what we've heard) seemed to be dedicated to the "peace by removing anything involved in conflict" idea, which only produces an intrinsically flawed peace. However, it could be that there was more to it than that, so it's worth getting more context from Kaguya.
>>
>>805975
But that's the thing it's not up too us, it's up to those of a higher power level. Though that could be funny they finally free her and she just bails saying fuck this
>>
>>805979
>And finally...keep in mind Kaguya is framing the story to make her more sympathetic. We're probably missing relevent information.
Oh I'm not so sure about that. Kaguya seems to be simply telling it as she saw from her perspective.
>>
>>805980

Ahhh. If that is what he's doing, then he's essentially just doing what Kaguya did in canon.

...Wait a minute...Kaguya mention he protected her for a long time. Possibly kept her locked away or safe. And now what Kaguya is doing is putting her children in a Lotus Eater Tree, and doing the same.

I wonder if this is intentional, the somewhat abused becoming the abuser.

Wargle, if you turned freaking Kaguya in a battered housewife...
>>
>>805979
Nah you kill the fuckers then no one will try again. If they do you kill them eventually they'll get the idea
>>
>>805975

No, it really, really isn't.

That may have been the intent behind her reintroduction in the 4th Shinobi War, but it was undermined almost entirely by having her defeated only by both of her Half-breed Sons the first time around, when she was at her Strongest and they barely won, and then the second time around she was only defeated by two "Mortals" who happened to be the Incarnation/Reincarnation of the Quarter-Pseudo-God Grandkids . . . who were further empowered by her Half-breed eldest son, and she was technically at her weakest point (Not counting when she had literally no power at all.) and still almost won.
>>
>>805981
If a dumb kid could defeat her than Tsuki and the rest of humankind can beat Kaguya. I don't know why you want her to rule again
>>
>>805982
Everyone's the hero of their own story.

Just ask Danzo.
>>
>>805979
It's not over the line nor is it unnecessary. People just tried to kidnap him. They're soldiers and he's a high value target.

If a handful of fucking teenagers break into my house to take shit I'm not going to think, "Oh well is force really necessary?"
>>
>>805979

What I'm getting is that Kaguya in this time-line didn't really use the offensive methods of her power all that much until she said "Fuck it" and conquered the world.

It's one thing to try and Kidnap an Incarnate Goddess of Health and Agriculture / Healing, it's another to try and Kidnap an Incarnate Goddess of "I'm going to fire a doom laser and I'm going to erase you and everything in your general direction on a metaphysical level."

Mind, if this is the actual or not I have no clue.

Point is: Kidnapping is bad, m'kay.
>>
>>805986
A dumb kid didn't they attempted to take her before she had powers and ate the fruit. She was pretty mediocre nin tier back then I think. Then it all went tits up.
>>
>>805982
It could really go either way.

Perhaps she's deliberately adjusting the story to manipulate us, or perhaps she was too consumed by the pain of perceived betrayal that she never gave consideration to any other possibility for why things turned out that way.
>>
>>805991

Eh, Humanity didn't have Chakra until after Kaguya was sealed away, or if they did, didn't know how to access it, Kaguya obviously had Chakra from when she was born, so even a mediocre Nin would be super-human compared to a baseline.
>>
>>805989
There's a reason I used a metaphor of Kage and genin. There's a fucking MASSIVE power and skill disparity. To the point where the Kage can easily handle this however they want.

If they decide to do so in the most dickish fashion possible by ripping out their heart and eating it in front of them, they're still a dick. They're a kidnapping victim, but they're also a dick.

There is such a thing as excessive force. Especially if a person could be reasonably expected to restrain themself.

Whether this is the case for Kaguya, I dunno.

>>805990

This is why we need more information on the subject.
>>
>>805996
And if you get a jump on her she now has a few moments to decide

1) oh Shit remove threat
Or
2) let the bad people take me to who knows where to do who knows what?

Which do you choose.

>When the Land of That began to threaten the Land of Ancestors over a border dispute, Tenji attempted to prevent the outbreak of war by declaring that anyone who attacked the larger nation's representatives was to be executed, a order which she broke when she was threatened by them, resulting in her and her assistant Aino becoming hunted by their land to be executed.

Okay, that's definitely some important context...so it's more she was goaded in striking first, and then the wording on the decree bit her in the ass and has thus judged her to be in the wrong.

Or wait, hold on, this guy just swore to execute anyone on HIS side who antagonized the other nation, without leaving and riders for if they decide they take advantage of this?

You huff slightly

“Sounds hypocritical. To imprison your loved one for simply defending themselves… Though, why were these other men trying to attack you?”

“Tenji’s lands were under threat of war by a much larger nation- the Land of Ka. To protect the peace, Tenji had decreed that anyone who attacked representatives from Ka would be executed- however, he did not understand that these men from Ka had every intention of going to war, no matter what he tried. When the armies approached, he left for the front, to try and negotiate peace. Several of my handmaidens and I were moved to a safer area- however, during the night, men from Ka came to abduct me. The leader declared that the Land of Sou, which Tenji ruled, was at an end- and that all that belonged to him would now belong to Ka- including me. These men killed my handmaidens, who had taken care of me, and served me faithfully. I tried to flee, at first, to protect my handmaidens- and gave them a warning not to touch me. When they had the audacity to do so again- they were destroyed.” Kaguya explains.

“D-destroyed?” You stammer.

“Chakra was not used by humans at this time. My own powers were in their infancy- but even then, it overwhelmed the men. Their bodies were torn asunder.” She states calmly, taking another drink of tea.

Scary….

“So, what then?” you ask changing the somewhat gruesome subject.

“I do not know specifics of what happened between Tenji and the men from Ka. A hunting party soon came, declaring me a criminal for disobeying Tenji’s order, by attacking and killing Ka men. I fled, together with Aino- my chief handmaiden, to the Tree of the World- she tried to convince Tenji’s men to retreat… but her cries were only met with the arrows of men. It was then that I became one with the Tree of the World- and put men to rest for the first time.”

This… is a lot to take in. These nations- these people- this history is unknown to any historian or book you have ever read. Though… you have no reason to doubt her words.

You do have a question, though....

1. You said, the "first" time?

Don't fall for the sap story until you see it from all sides.
>>806076
He's cute to me.
>>
>>806056
>2. Tell me more about this "Tree of the World".
>>
>>806071
Tsuki's never actually learned about her crimes though... And I think attempted genocide is just a BIT beyond air quotes.
>>
>>806056
1. You said, the "first" time?
And hug her.
>>
>>806056
Definite hugs as needed, she dealt with some bullshit
>>
>>806073

Kaguya was betrayed by everyone she loved and watched someone that was genuinely willing to die for her be shot down by the people she once helped nurture to prosperity.

Orochimaru had his parents killed in an already ongoing War/Possibly an Accident and conveniently saw a snake shedding it's skin to renew itself taking him down the path to Immortality.

The horrific human experimentation into BLoodlines, Monsters, Frankenstein-esque bullshit and all of that was all him and only slightly touched on his immortality-obsession.

Kaguya lost faith in humanity but sought to save it anyway, even through an illusion and her tyrannical rule, Orochimaru was obsessed with the self and causing pain to others was his fuel.
>>
>>806056
>You said, the "first" time?
Tsuki still needs to realize just how powerful and dangerous Kaguya is.

Not that it'll stop us from trying to befriend her.
>>
>>806056
>>806086
Also, +1 to giving her a hug.

How do you punish a bad dog?

Put it to sleep!

Writing.
>>
>>806088
AGREED
>>
>>806082

I think putting them to sleep kinda speaks on its own...

>>806088

Yeah, that. I really think that Tree was the safest choice.

Here we go...
>>
>>806091
Put them to sleep is her version. The actual version is to absorb them back into herself and become the sole person in the world with chakra. The people she "puts to sleep" die, and she's not telling us that.
>>
>>806093
Oops, meant to say "and she's just not telling us that." My bad.
>>
>>806093

Yeah, I know. Whether she tells us the details...

Seriously, I do not think treading on these crimes, knowingly or unknowingly, is going to help. Not unless we can find a way to reach out to and make a connection.

Which may be difficult, given the subject matter.
>>
>>806096
Alright, I just think she's a bit too insane for her to not try and kill everyone. A sane person doesn't decide to commit genocide because of paranoia. But I hope it works out, for what it's worth.
>>
>>806099
I can think we can safely say this was more than just paranoia, by the time she reached that point.

...Also, that omnipotence was probably fucking with her head. It's damn hard to climb back up the slippery slope once you jump down it.

Totally agree on her not being sane though; getting her into a...not sane, but healthier mindset is my goal for now.

Here's hoping this does not end in fire and tears.
>>
>>806100
Maybe it won't.

Checking to see if my ID reset... Wifi shit itself for a little bit.
>>
Testing.

4chan seems to be shitting itself.
>>
>>806103
reset wifi does nothing as long as the modem remains on.
>>
>>806105
Yep, that's why I was checking. It wasn't even my wifi, 4chan's shitting itself.

This woman… she’s been through so much-

You don’t realize what you're doing until you’ve already done it- but you hug Kaguya.

She hesitates- before returning the hug.

“Sorry, I- your story is just so sad. You’ve had to deal with so much, I though you may need some comfort as well.” You manage to say.

Kaguya’s normally stony expression softens.

“It’s perfectly alright, my child. I did not mean to evoke such negativity with my story- this was meant to be a time of relaxation for you.” She responds.

“It’s fine- really! Though… you said that was the “first” time you put humans to sleep?” You inquire.

“Yes- at that point, I had figured humanity had simply developed its warmongering ways over time- and that, if given a better life, in a world without war, they would be able to live in peace. I gave them that world- and birthed my sons shortly afterward. It was this peaceful world that I wished my boys to grow up and experience- the world Tenji and I had both wanted. However, I was mistaken- and this time, I was betrayed by my own children…..”

You’d heard this story before- the rabbit matriarch had told to those present in the field. That seemed like forever ago, now…

“It was then that I put man to sleep for the second time- though my sons likely undid this after I was sealed. After all, humans are everywhere, are they not? Kaguya explains.

She looks as if she’s about to explain further- but suddenly her eyes dilate, the veins around them expanding- the Byakugan?

“It appears the men attacking your village have released something beyond their control. A fragment of my power- and a very large one at that. It dwarfs the one from before- though I do wonder where they found them…” She warns.

A fragment of her power..? You do remember her calling the One-Tails, the beast within Gaara, a similar thing. But who else could it be? Fuu, and thus Chomei, should be safe in the vault… unless-

Surely they hadn’t released it!?

The Nine-Tailed Fox….

Somewhat of a bumpy finish- but we've made it!

Thread 50 is over!

@Wargle for Moon Moon

Next thread will be friday evening.

OOoohhh Shit

Nori isn't a Jinchurriki, she's just a Pseudo-one from osmosis.

Kind of like how the Gold and Silver brothers are some of the Kyuubi's stomach when he ate them and became Pseudo-Jinchuuriki.

I just realised something OOC, Tonrei could be one of the best sources of information on Kaguya not durectly on her side! His clan guarded the gendo statue before nagato nicked it. He may infact be able to fill in alot of blanks and provide details!

Toneri? You mean that guy descended from Homura, Kaguya's youngest child not counting Black Zetsu? That guy that made a tablet that essentially said "Don't let this shit happen." and was later fucked with by said Black Zetsu to say "Fuck those guys down there."

Toneri would know virtually nothing.

He would however be a eugenicist's wet dream

When we have the chance we are obviously going to try for the other options to get all the view points.
>>
I actually think is a great thing for us understanding her, she ain't evil far from it. She is pure logic in a way, it mimics emotions but does not understand, it tries but doesn't understand what it means too be human, we must teach her

I love this quest.
