Akari is dressed in an elegant boy's uniform, of the style that she usually wears her girl's outfit in. Thought it is mostly straight lines and sharp edges, she has just enough curve to make it clear she isn't male....but she looks all sorts of yummy in that outfit. To say nothing of the blushing oni-chick that your princess has dressed up in a uniform similar to that which Akari usually wears, with long black stockings and sharply shined Mary-Jane's shoes. The skirt is not even regulation length, well above her knees, and the bandanna has delicate red piping; Yui keeps tugging at it ever so gently, careful not to dislodge Kiki-hime's efforts. The way she tends to hang all over the shorter Akari is just adorable. Maybe even adorkable.

You are back on the soft sweater with the butterfly draped across your breasts, and the form fitting yoga pants. The flash of memory as you lean against the step up along your bed and look at your Herald and your Harbinger in their sleek black uniforms just feels right, even to the point of their nuzzling and light head-butts and caresses evoking more half remembered images of them in armor and carrying grand weapons as you relaxed against the sideboard of your bed. It's downright eerie, and you shake off the feeling of deja-vu.

You study the pair – the Twins, your family has taken to calling them – and smile at them both. Yui lowers her head, whispering softly into Akari's ear; Akari's gently smiling expression doesn't change as she swats Yui's derrière with her tail smartly. Yui yelps and straightens up, rubbing her bottom slightly, her tail lashing back and forth, It's almost 4 feet long now, and to your surprise it has a soft tuft of that white-bronze hair of hers at the end, like a lion's paintbrush.

You gesture slightly and both of them crawl along the bed on hands and knees, Akari in a sleek, graceful serpentine prowl, Yui in a surprisingly feminine and far more feline prowl, with her feet up high. Sitting up, you slide your pointer and index finger into their matching silver and sapphire dragon collars, formed of hairpins you bend and formed into artistic representations of your ownership of them. In Yui-niji-chan's case it's true ownership, perhaps....and yet you suspect that Akari-niji-chan isn't exactly adverse to being owned by you as well. You've discussed it before, her relationship to you, and while you will always think of them both as equals in your heart, to them you are more than that.

“I won't keep you long. I meant what I said about enjoying the day. And I want you two to go on the date with Hime-chan.” You looks at the two of them and they smile back, Yui beaming, Akari simply sedate and calm as ever. Though her eyes are wandering a fair bit. “How battle ready are the others?” Yui-niji-chan frowns and looks thoughtful. Akari answers immediately.

“Kiki-hime would do well against human soldiers and untrained spirit-children. I would hesitate to put her up against anyone with formal training or human special forces.” Yui waits patiently, apparently having come to a decision. “Fuuta-chan is on the same level, to be honest. I hesitate to put her in harms way. Everyone else is as before, though far better at coordination now. Shoko-san would be ideal to stay close to Fuuta-chan and Kiki-hime.” You nod slowly. Her Water Oni diplomacy trick is amazing, and having killed a kamuy in the hight of her power is a heaven of a surprise to have, despite her otherwise low combat capability.

“I don't know what to think of Fuuta-sama, aniki,” confides Yui-niji-chan. “I can see why you took her away, and I can see what she's been through has a lot of similarities to what I've gone through, but she's very mystical, and that worries me.” Seeing that you're not taking offense to her apparent unease she continues, more confidently. “Those marks on her back aren't like yours and Akari's. They're potent and active, and they could be used against us. Maybe not here, but they still bother me. And she is....” Yui tries to figure out what she means to say and you turn your thumb along her carotid artery gently, feeling her powerful heartbeat. “She's hiding something important. From us, but I don't know if it's important to us, you know?”

You nod slowly. “It's not something I haven't considered, but I'm glad you mentioned it to me. I want her to be a little more comfortable and at ease and give her a chance to reveal herself to us before I push any buttons. Are you going to ask her to teach you magic anyways?” Yui-niji-chan nods seriously. “Do so with Er Yin in the room and learn from her too. Don't be alone with her and learning magic. If there is a time to be warty, that would be it.” Yui-niji-chan nods, and you grin, seeing she'd already considered that. “Ah, you're learning so fast, Yui-niji-chan...” Dragging her forward you kiss her softly, and she melts for you.

Akari watches, her eyes wide and bright.

“So what do you think about recruitment? I Keep wanting some more sorcerers, and Void users, and I'm not entirely sure why I'm collecting so many. A Fire dragonette would be very useful, and another Water dragonette might just be helpful.”

Yui and Akari glance sidelong at each other, and then Akari speaks up. “I have a theory.” When you nod she explains. “sorcerers use the power of the spirits to affect the world around them. If you are going to increase the spiritual openness and awareness of the Japanese, there will be more sorcerers. You might be preparing to deal with them.”

Yui interjects. “Even without sorcery, the Void can be influential on people. You may need to help encourage growth and prevent issues by having more Void-relatable people around you, aniki.”

You nod your understanding of their ideas, but you keep your opinion to yourself at the moment; the others may have opinions as well. “And Chisato and Peta's people, Akari? How about them?” Yui-niji-chan tilts her head. You glance at her, shifting your fingers to a slightly more comfortable position in her collar. “Yes?”

“Shouldn't Kiku-chan be here for that? She's one of us too.” The question bring a smile to your lips, not because of her 'temerity' or her 'interruption' but because she referred to the trio of you and Kiku-chan as the warriors of your clan more than any others. It is a good question.

You smile and uncurl your fingers inside Yui's collar, allowing the backs of your talons to lightly rest along her throat. She colors vibrantly, her cheeks glowing once more and she whimpers very becomingly, and not fearfully. Akari's eyes light up again and you rise up to your knees so that you can loom over the lovely oni-girl. “For one thing, I don't have a collar prepared for her just yet. Er Yin-sensei and I will be picking one out just for her....most likely when we get your permanent manacles.” She blushes so hot that you can see the pulsing of her blood in her glowing blush.

Akari's scent wafts around you and you slowly curl your fingers and gently let Yui-chan go back to her seiza position as you pull Akari close, looming over her. “More importantly, in some ways, I do not want to interrupt her and Er Yin-sensei. This is their time too. You open your left hand and let Akari-chan feel your talons and the way her eyes go wide and her cheeks flush is enough to put your own heart in a rush. “I will discuss it with her later....for now, the basics, if you please, Miss Ryuu?” Your authoritative tone of voice hearkens back to a certain teacher you had, and that makes Akari's knees go weak; she literally trembles.

“Hai, Ryukusa-sensei....Chisato-sama has been having issues with the shaitei of her region; he's been pushing the local bosses to rein her in, and she's been convincing them....or they're having accidents around them that cut into their profits. The kyodai are starting to lean on him, and he's not liking it and the water is flowing downhill quickly.” If it was just bosses, that wouldn't be so bad, but a little brother of the Yakuza is not something trivial. He has shared sake with the oyabun, indirectly at the very least, and the oyabun of the group is going to take an interest. Not surprising the big brothers are making fun of him either. In only a week, his fortunes crumbled.

Yui watches, eyes glowing bright and her tail lashing back and forth with quick swishes. Lowering her, you hum softly. “Miss Ryuu,” you say in the same authoritative voice, and Yui sits up straight.

“Hai sensei!” she exclaims, immediately playing along which threatens to cause an Akari-scented waterfall.

“What can you tell me about Peta's people's involvement in this matter?” The school-teacher voice you ask in belies the importance of the question, perhaps, but now you're having fun.

“Hai sensei! Peta-chan has been using her nogitsune-born to cause trouble for anyone interfering in Chisato's business! They are quickly realizing that helping her is good, and defying her is bad, and she is taking every advantage, sensei!” You nod shortly, and she bows quickly. “Sensei, our group of Nogitsune-and-human team-mates are also being very useful! They are starting to organize and direct certain spirits to assist and protect various places and homes, especially those with many children, elderly, hospitals, and other places of import in disasters!”

Suppressing the urge to grin, you hum. “Very good, Miss Ryuu.” You tug her so she sits up, though on your knees you're still taller than she is sitting seiza, and you lean over....and slowly lick her horn, from base to tip, curling your tongue with a little flick.

“...uh...huh! Ohhh....” Yui-chan's eyes roll back into her head and one hand goes to her skirt, cupping herself as she shudders.

“Hands down, Miss Ryuu!” you bark sharply, but softly, and she immediately plants them on her thighs.

“Yes sensei!” she replies in a slightly quavery voice.

Akari-chan is nearly squirming in place, while Yui-chan is literally quivering before you. You scoot over slightly so you are once more between them. You look at each of them imperiously and place a pair of horn-rimmed glasses with simple glass windows on your nose with your tai-tip. “So, Miss Ryuu,” directing your attention to Akari, who straightens up and flushes at the sight of your stern, glasses-enhanced gaze. “Can you explain to the class why Miss Matagama is not present?”

“Hai sensei,” she agrees readily, blushing under your intense scrutiny. “Being our kohai, she is more versed in the older situation of the Yakuza, rather than the modern situation, and thus might not have enough current information to provide relevant input at this time.”

“Heki!” you exclaim, making her blush, though your wink tells her it wasn't entirely incorrect. “She was not invited because I wish to get an unbiased viewpoint from her separately, and will use her age and wisdom in comparison to your youth and current knowledge to gain a better insight by: combining the two viewpoints!” You tug her forward, onto her hands and knees, and yank her pants – and the black lacy panties she is wearing under them! – down to her thighs. She blushes and glances back and up at you, startled, while Yui's jaw drops in shock as you bare your niji-chan's bottom.

The crack as you give her cute bottom a firm swat resounds throughout the room. Akari's decidedly cute moan and the way her tail sticks straight out is totally inappropriate to the scenario, but perfectly understandable. Yui-chan looks like she's about to have a waterfall of her own again.

You tug her panties and pants back up and direct her into a seiza position once more. “Homework!” They both look at you attentively, eyes all a-sparkle. “Miss Ryuu!” You exclaim indicating Yui-chan. “You are to go to miss Chisato's place and inform her and Peta-chan that we will be having a meeting with this uppity Ototo-san! You will take Miss Ryuu to assist you! Then you will meet with-” You snap your fingers and point towards Akari.

“Shinkai Yamada!” she proclaims firmly.

“-yes! Shinkai Yamada-ototo-san and inform him we will be speaking to him on behalf of our associate Chisato-chan! Have her assist you in doing so as well! I will call her and speak to her myself about all of this, so be sure you are dutiful in your homework.” They both agree with the sensei's homework in unison. “Now, thank your teacher, and go to your princess!” They both sit up and embrace you, and kiss your cheeks, as you slide your arms about their waists and squeeze them firmly. “Class dismissed!” You exclaim, taking off your glasses and pointing towards the door with them in hand.

Both girls carefully crawl off the bed and rather hurriedly take their leave, both in need of some very desperate attention, which you have very little doubt your wife will provide them with. Possibly whether she is on top or not.

You do manage to wait until the door is closed to collapse in the bed giggling manically, rolling onto your back and just enjoying the total absurdity and love that prompted them to be such obedient girls for you today. Considering, you know, they could have both completely overwhelmed you with strength.

When the giggles have died down, you push your glasses up on your nose and gaze at the ceiling, relaxing.

You take deep, slow breaths, slowing your racing heart and easing the flow of your blood. You're not just overexcited from your momentary cos-play with your niji-chan, though that has something to do with it. They ruyi is still affecting you, and most likely will continue to do so as long as it is Nowhere. And you did say you would relax a little, and take it easy. Maybe not a promise, but Kiki-hime would want you to. So you spend the time reminiscing, going over your strange, exciting, and rather lust-filled adventures....

….

That's odd....but....no, it couldn't be....

It is a tense moment, realizing that each time you've made love to someone they were hurt, but Kiki-hime seems to break that mold; so you relax, your panicked assumption subsiding. It is entirely coincidental, and it is a dangerous job you and your fellow protectors do, so it is inevitable that injuries will happen. You laugh at yourself and run hands through your hair, rinsing it clean and using wind to spread it about your head like a massive corona.

Yeah, you're not going to get too much relaxing done thinking this much. But you said you would and you really do need to get this....intensity, this pins and needles of power under control. You wonder if your previous incarnation had the same issues. It could be just the ruyi, of course, and you suspect that it is, but you can get used to it, and control it if it isn't just the ruyi. And then there is that weird sword. Like the ruyi, it should be a kami, and might have been, but it has been....well, not neglected, but perhaps not properly attended to.

You decide to consult with people who might actually know about such things – your personal kami. Creating a Barrier seems to help a lot....

I want to see it, murmurs the image of Gendai-no-Muteki-no-Buki, as she looks at you, her gold and bronze horns glittering in the light of your body and her expression thoughtful.

Buki-sama stands up and blinks at you.

Placing your hands together, you bow from the waist. “Many thanks for coming to this small dragon's assistance! “If some one can withstand all five elements, then you must accept defeat.” Matagama-sama's warning is gentle, but firm.

Mukade-sama grins viciously, a mouthful of fangs. “Like you keep saying, kami-stuff.”

Buki-sama nods. “Even the Kami have to admit defeat in the face of an unbeatable foe – just look what happened to Susano-oh when he violated Amaterasu-Omikami....hey, whoa, not like that!”

You sigh softly. “So, basically, at the end of the day, he just deals with it.” A triplicate nod doesn't make things any better, but at least they're in agreement. “Well, it was a nice thought....” You shake your head. “And I'm not interested in ruling anything. I want to spend time with my family, and raise my children, and take care of the things that make life worthwhile, you know.”

“That's what he used to say too,” a new voice murmurs, resonant and rich in timbre. You blink and look up and the other three kami are bowing towards another kami. She is dressed in white, in a style that is much more reminiscent of Inau-kun's or Yuuhi-chans, and looking thoughtful. The markings on her forehead seem to float above her skin, like Amaterasu-Omikami's did, and unlike the others she has a distinctly dragonette appearance.

And while Er Yin's abs are beautiful, and Buki-sama's are amazing....this one is made out of bronze, steel, iron, and rock. Her eyes are soft, though, rosy garnets that gleam in the brightness shed by your crystalline body parts. “He would have much rather listened to music and played with his children, or swam with the ningyo. And sometimes that's what he did.”

“.....Tekina-sama....” you murmur softly.

The kami seems to notice you for the first time. 'Mhn.” She crouches, resting an elbow in one hand and placing the other against her cheek as she tilts her head to study you. “I haven't felt his power in a long time. You must be the new one.” She acknowledges your nod with a nod of her own. “I'm not a weapon, you know. I'm a tool for making things. Ningyo, or statues, or talismans, or gods, or volcanos, or the like. Or for guidance, if you don't mind shedding a little of your own blood. I create a lot of things with blood.”

The other kami re still bowed and your hair starts to float, apparently the equivalent of your hackles being raised. “....do you mind if I ask your name?”

She takes your left hand gently, and kisses your ring finger, the red jade blazing into life, sunbeams sparking off of it. The sunbeams fade after a moment and the other kami lift their heads.

“Ame-no-Ohabari,” she replies softly. “Breathe. Stay calm. Be clever. Be dangerous. You will be fine, Ryuu Yorihokura. We will be at your side when you need us.” You nod slowly, a little awestruck by this strange, very old kami. She rises and then bows deeply to you. “I am yours to command once more, so long as you carry the Mikoto of Ame-no-Horobi-no-Mikado, Ryuu Yorihokura.”

You had intended to ask how to keep your calm and restrain yourself in barriers....but you realize that she's right. All you have to do is not use the power. And that's something so basic to your nature the question shouldn't have come up.

Stupid ruyi.

You place your hands together and murmur softly, “Thank you all for coming to my aid. Please take care of me.” They all four bow, and then slowly vanish. You feel better; the buzzing itch is still there, but you can ignore it easily now. Mostly, you're just at peace with the way things are. You hope they go back to normal, but if not, you'll cope.

Dropping the barrier, you take out your phone and hit the speed dial. The usual greeting is given, in the slightly harried voice of Hyun Chisato. “Hey, Chi-chan....”

“Sounds like you needed it though, Chi-chan. How are you doing? Been hearing some rumors.” She sighs, a long, heartfelt, deep sigh. “That bad huh? Well, you won't get ghosts, but you'll be seeing Akari and Yui-chan soon.”

“Well, if they can help get the bancho off my back, they're welcome. I'm getting a lot of flack, even though I'm not really doing anything except my job as one of the helpful people, ya know?” You make a noise of agreement. “So....you really gonna send them in to help?”

“Well....yes, and no. They're going to see about arranging a sit-down with your bancho, and I'm going to talk some sense into him and his buddies. If we can get his Elder Brother there, so much the better.” There is dead silence on her end. “....hello?”

“....Aoi-chan....are you gonna start a fight with the organization?” She sounds like she believes it.

“Well, only if they start one....” you reply. “I've got a lot of things to do, I don't want to have to fight with them! Besides, you don't have to worry about it right away. I have to beat up Enma-Oh first. The Jade Emperor, may he live Ten Thousand times Ten Thousand years, said so.” Huh, weird, you actually have to say that most of the time. Bizarre.
