/qst/ - Quests

In the late seventies through the early nineties, drug violence in South America only continued to escalate. A successful revolution by the IRA in Ireland encouraged similar revolts in central Africa that devolved into decades-long civil wars, and resulted in a USSR faction in the Russian government. Human trafficking for both the organ and the sex trades exploded between south-east Asia and eastern Europe. In the face of such chaos, government run militaries and various agencies were too caught up in red tape to be effective. Frustrated with procedure causing a lack of results, the wealthier citizens of the world turned to someone who would not be weighed down by the bureaucratic process.

Now, in 2032, the private military industry is a widely accepted fact of life, a necessary evil for the security of the world. While some resent these men for what they represent, still more turn to them when government forces would fail.

You are Jan Kowalski, a Polish special forces operator turned private military contractor. In return for cash and other liquid currency, you, and men like you, go places national militaries refuse, and that local police forces avoid.

>From: Solomon Hyun
>You free? Me Jonas and Mikail are in the caf if you can come talk tactics

You shoot back a quick text that you’re on your way, and about five minutes later you walk into the cafeteria. It’s pretty much empty, just the three sitting at a table and a lone janitor wiping tables at the other end of the room.

You take a seat next to Mikail on one side of the table, and Solomon nods at you before speaking.

“Alright, the resort is pretty big. Two hotels, a few bars, a number of restaurants and other buildings,” he begins, rolling out a phsycial map. “I’d assume most of our work will be inside, but some of the courtyards might have ranges of up to four hundred yards, and they may have snipers in upper floors of the hotels.”

“Briefing mentioned ties with other groups,” Mikail asks. “Any info on those?”

“There is,” Solomon answers as he pulls a dossier. “Most are shitty little rebel groups looking for easy recruitment. However, a few known ISIS officers have been seen on the island. Namely, a high ranking recruitment guy, and the head of research, along with half a dozen aids and other assorted people. Client assumes they’ll have fighters at the resort as well.”

“How many total are we looking at,” Jonas asks, leaning over to see the files. “And just who is the client?”

“Anywhere from eighty to two hundred, according to intel,” Hyun say, running over the pertinent info with a finger. “Client is just ‘to be met on-site’, so I assume some CIA wetwork team, or something similar. Any other questions?”

>Any questions about the mission?

>"What would you guys prefer I bring to the party? PKM, AA12, or DMR fishgun?"

'Also, which buildings first, and should we expect hostages or noncombatants....sacrifices?"

Welcome back Handler, Happy Halloween!
>>

Happy Halloween! Favorite holiday of the year. Even if I don't drink on it.
>>
>>777058

Seconding this

Good to see you Handler
>>
>>777023
Are we going to have a safehouse where we can store extra equipment?
How far is the resort from the main towns, and how easy is transportation?
Can we drop equipment off in the plane that brings us, or do we have to carry everything off with us?
Anyone else bringing bodycams, digital cameras, stuff like that?
>>
“Which buildings should we hit first,” you ask, craning your neck to see the map right-side-up.

“That’s something we should probably play by ear,” Solomon says, “But I assume they’ll be using one of the smaller buildings as a sort of guard house. We should try to find which one, and see if we can’t get that first.”

“Makes sense,” you say, nodding. “You guys have any preference what I arm myself with? I’m having trouble deciding between my PKM, AA-12, and XM8.”

“I’d probably say the XM8,” Solomon answers. “Something that can lay down appreciable amounts of fire at mid-range would be nice. We have plenty of close range. Jonas uses a Benelli M4, and I think Mikail is going to bring a UMP,” he says, and Mikail nods in response. “The big bastard PKM will be a pain and a half when we get inside. Up to you in the end though, go with what you think you’ll be most effective with.”

“Will there be anywhere to keep the LMG if I bring two,” you ask, not wanting to lug around an extra twenty pounds of gun and ammo.

“I assume we’ll be provided a truck or something to get from the airfield to the resort,” Jonas says casually, reading over the dossier. “No idea how secure it will be there, though.”

“How far from the nearest town?”

“About five miles by dirt road,” Solomon answers. “Satellite images show it’s unguarded until you get a half mile from the gate. We’ll probably hoof it to the wall through the jungle. Sorry, folks.”

“I just picked up a bodycam,” you say, pointing to your chest where the imaginary camera would be. “May be worth it for the secondary objective.”

“I have one,” Jonas says, again quietly. “Two should be enough, but two more wouldn’t hurt,” he finishes looking between Mikail and Solomon.

Side note, is anyone else very concerned about ISIS dicking around with demon summoning? Djinn are kind of fucked up.
>>
>>777175
>Ask another question
Are we hitting them at night or day?
Everyone got night-vision/IR goggles?
Does Mikail's drones have IR/nightvision?
If these are strictly low-grade cultists and terrorists, then hitting them when they aren't able to see will be a good advantage.
>>
“Any line on twelve gauge grenades,” you say to Jonas specifically.

“Armory should have them,” he says, shrugging.

“They’re pretty niche, though. Don’t have a whole lot of utility.”

“Think we’ll need any explosives? I have a handful of C4 and a few claymores and grenades.”

“A little is always nice,” Solomon answers, as he starts packing away the dossier. “Never know when you’ll need to pop a door or cover an entrance. Shit gets heavy, though.”

“Are we going to in at day or night,” you ask, forming strategies in your head.

“Probably night,” Mikail answers. “Drones will be harder to see, and have night vision and IR capability. Huge tactical advantage.”

“And the dregs will have no idea what’s going on,” Jonas says in reply. “ISIS won’t have sent slouches with the head of research and a high ranking recruiter, though. They’ll know what’s up.”

“What’s the plan on the hostages and/or sacrifices,” you ask. “I assume they’re pretty top priority.”

“Get them out if we can, keep them safe if we can’t,” Solomon answers, folding up the map and putting it in the envelope with the other files. “Top priority though is stopping them from taking more, though.”

“You guys nervous about ISIS trying to fuck around with cults and demons,” you ask as Jonas and Mikail stand.

“Not really,”Solomon responds. “Never been one for that shit.”

“I am,” Jonas answers, leaning over the table. “Stopping that bullshit. No summonings on my watch.”

With that, the two leave the table, bickering about the supernatural, leaving you and Solomon alone.

“You got a minute,” he asks of you, meeker than is normal for the Korean marksman. “I need to ask you a favor.”

“Just tell me what you need, man,” you answer. You can see the relief wash over his face.
“The recruitment official,” he says, looking down at his hands as he speaks. “It’s Omar Bashin, head of the European recruitment program. I need a flash drive he carries, and I’d prefer him alive as well. That’s not so big a deal though. I need the drive, and I’ll need help to get it.”
“That’s an odd thing to want, Solomon,” you say, suddenly wary.
“I need to cross check it with some other stuff I’ve come across,” he says, folding his hands on the table as he looks up at you. “This might be the only chance I have. His drive will have the name of every single european recruited in the last ten years.”
He has a look in his eyes that’s off putting you. It’s a mixture of desperation and hunger. A dangerous look for a contractor to have. Both for himself, and whatever he’s going after.
“What do you want to cross check?”
“A list of known identities of Europeans in ISIS, and their whereabouts.”

“Solomon, who are you looking for?”

“I don’t know yet,” he answers, leaning back in his chair and sighing. “No one knows. But he’s German. Probably grew up around Munich, judging from the accent and the way his voice fits around Arabic. The mouthpiece for ISIS, their on-camera executioner.”

“Jesus Christ, Hyun,” you say, taking your own turn to sigh. “Are the other guys in on this?”

“No, just you and Harris,” he answers, running a hand through his black hair. “I don’t want many people talking about this.”

“You can count on me, but I don’t want any backlash coming to me or my family,” you say, pointing a figer accusingly. He wants the fucking German Jihadi. This is going to be a long road.

“There won’t be,” he says with authority. “No one knows what I’m after. No one survives it, and I take everything so they have half a dozen different worries.”

Aaaand spoilers for unchosen missions.

Mission 1
Standard zombie slog. You'd have fought for every inch through the prison, and probably back while racing against a self-destruct sequence with about half of the total teams sent in by Dole. Lots of super close quarters, likely lots of melee, and a handful of covering Makuna while he blows doors. I was secretly hoping for this one because I'm an unashamed zombie fag.

Mission 3
Dr. Gregory didn't find the foundations of an ancient city, they found the foundations of a massive arena, and accidentally activated a beacon of sorts. Your team, Dr. Gregory, and a pair of grad students would have been run through a gauntlet of differing Alien creatures ranging from something like the dogs from that prison in Riddick, up to what were ripped off Halo Brutes. The mission would have ended with a Predator-esque boss fight. I was secretly hoping for this one, as Dr. Gregory was going to be a pretty interesting character.

I was also secretly hoping you'd choose 2, because I'm excited about this plot line with Solomon.
>>
>>777569
Really outdid yourself Handler. These were all great choices. Looks like we were right about the enemies of both though
>>
>>777569
The Alien who created this arena aren't pear shaped are they?
>>
>>777573
Yeah, you were. Though, in my defense, you really only had 5 options of Halloween monsters: zombies of varying flavors, demons, aliens, vampires, and werewolves. As vampires and werewolves exist in NS, I was afriad it would be obvious I just swapped them, and couldn't deal with the shame.

>>777575
Pearaliums are a benign race, apart from that one asshole.
>>
>>777569

Oh man, we missed the AVP mission? Ah well. This should be good too!

>>777550
>Just tell me when we need to go.
>>
“Well then,” you say as he stands. “Just let me know when we need to go.”

“I will, Jan,” he replies as he turns towards the door. “Thank you. It means a lot to me,” he finishes and leaves the room.

You really aren’t sure exactly what it is you’ve gotten yourself into, but you doubt it’s going to be stopping at one flash drive. Sighing, you stand from the table and make for the door. You stand in the doorway, listening to pundits on TV talking about tensions in the gulf of Mexico while you consider your options. It’s about 7 pm by now, and you have three days before you leave for St. Vincent.

We're going to St. Vincent in early spring, and traipsing through the Jungle.

>Get. Bug. Spray.

Fuck mosquitoes.
>>
You head back to your car in the parking lot, and make the drive home in the evening light. Before you forget, you stop at a gas station to grab some bug spray. You’ll be wanting that in the Caribbean as spring gets into motion. As you pull up to the house, you notice a lack of Charlie’s car in the driveway, and unlock the door to get in. Must be at Ioveta’s.

You sit on the couch, grabbing a laptop from the coffee table, and it isn’t long before Casimir is curled up beside you, and one of the cats is on the couch back behind your head. You look up the island of St. Vincent, and find out it was a British territory until the late seventies. The resort was built in the late 2000’s, but was forced to shut down when the local government discovered it was run by Russian Mob interests in Cuba. It has since been home to half a dozen gangs, smuggling operations, and minor pirate operations since the island hasn’t had the funds to have it demolished. You find a few satellite shots of the general layout, though they don’t show any people at all, let alone troop counts or fortified positions. Hopefully your client has intel on that kind of thing.

Yawning after a few hours of curious googling, you shut the laptop and check the time. About ten PM. Not a whole lot of day left, unless you want it to be a very late night.

Mercenaries may be a different story though, depending on who you piss off. Mercs don't have the same code of ethics as Contractors
>>
>>779638

Didn't realize we needed to, I thought the quote was for lessons booked. We should get rotorcraft lessons as soon as we can.
>>
You decide to wind down for the night by taking Casimir for a walk in the cool night air, thankful for the humid heat of early spring being gone.

The next few days are taken up by various trainings, and you spend most of your time either running with the dog, or on base working on different skills or firearms. You feel you’re getting better with most of them, and the drones are pretty easy to get the hang of.

A few days pass like that, before you find yourself standing in the armory, staring at your locker, trying to decide what weapons and equipment to take. The crew suggested a rifle of some sort, as the had short and long distance covered, but the final decision is yours to make.
>Choose a loadout for the St. Vincent mission, please

Maaan you are getting way too many migraines. If they're actually migraines go to the doc and get a script metoprolol, amitryptalline or topiramate - all of those are associated with a >50% decrease in migraine frequency for 50-75% of people and if one doesn't work you can swap to another. They can be life changing.

For acute treatment ie stopping the migraine when you feel it coming on - triptans or ergotamines are the way to go.

Hey Handler.

I've been following CQ for a while and I think it's damn good. Whatever else, that's real.

So I've had a few ideas for some support cast characters. They're a little weird, but at least one of them could fit this cult operation well.

If you're interested I can put them up on a wordpad document and provide a link.

Either way, keep it up.

I probably shouldn't be using the term mirgraine, as I realize it's not really a word to be taken lightly. Basically just a bitch of a headache that starts in my neck and works it's way up to behind my eyes, and makes it hard to focus on anything. I have somewhat of an addictive personality with a small family history of substance abuse, so I try to avoid things like prescription painkillers. I have seen a doctor about them, though, when I first started getting them as a freshman in high school. Told me it was a stenosis caused by a fusion of my C3 and C4 vertebrae. I appreciate the concern and advice though, dude.

>>780461
A few years too early to be effected by military privatization, so it's still Zimbabwe, but it was one of the major pushing forces in people taking matters into their own hands with the drug cartels in South Africa. People saw what could happen when they took matters into their own hands on a large scale.

>>781317
Hit me with them dude, I love that kinda stuff.

>>785631

...We should bring the claymores then.

I honestly hope we don't need half of this, but...rather have it than not.
>>
About getting a van and such; we should ask how well connected the cult is with the island's inhabitants.
If they have the guy at the car rental place in their pocket, they might know we're coming.
And it'd be easy for them to turn the GPS on in the van and find our camp and take our stuff.

Thinking to avoid this bring both Egor and Not Egor gun problem, I'll allow you to bring a second primary if you bring the WLKR bot.

Also thinking of killing the thread here, seeing as it's been like an hour. If we don't have a third before long, I may just move this to Saturday, since we may have just found out of deer hunting this weekend
>>
Welp, there's three. Inky to the rescue. We reach a decision yet?
>>
>>785658

>>785664
Oh shit, we do have four. I have a bad habit of just going off the colors. You do not own a WLKR bot, they're like 85k? Off the top of my head. Too late to buy one for this mission
>>
>>785663
I think a mix of 1 and 3. The customization of the guns I can agree on, but all of those darts seem silly and they would wast too much time
>>
>>785671
Then I vote to just take Egor and the glock

Looks like votes have decided on option three above? Is that right? This whole process has kind of been A fucking mess that I need to find a better way to deal with

So, on that note How would you guys feel if I started giving options like Fall Guy did towards the middle of DAQ? With a sort of theme loadout that gets chosen between, rather than letting you guys run wild
>>
>>785750

Theme loadouts sounds nice, but it also makes me miss the BART with the grendecannon shotfun and MAWM fight..

Take it how you will Handler, but Contractor Quest is as fun as DAQ was.
>>
>>785750
Even though it is absolute chaos and terrible, that is questing for you. Having themes seems like it could take out the whole free choice aspect of it and make's it feel more like a Video game
>>
>>785761

Eh, we still got to mix and match and suggest changes to loadouts in DAQ, it's not that big a loss, especially since we can still grab stuff we find on the ground.

CQ just has more...fun weapons available from the start, DAQ sort of died off right when we were starting to reach a new tier of weapons and augs.
>>
Okay. Looks like 3 is locked in. With AP rounds for Egor, and the AA-12, too.

Finally writing, 2 hours after picking up the thread
>>
>>785768
Well ultimately it is up to the QM, but you know.
>>785782
The wheel of questing grinds slowly, but finely.
>>
I think what we'll do is next time try a sort of themed one (Rifleman, Gunner, CQC, etc.) and see how that goes. If it catches a lot of flak, we'll dump it. If it goes well, we'll stick with it until you guys decide you don't like it
>>
You eventually decide on… most of it. You’ll probably catch shit from the guys about all the crap you’re bringing, but you aren’t messing around with demons and cults. Shoving the three long guns into a duffel, and everything else into a second, you haul the considerable load out to your car.

Pulling up at the airfield, you see you’re the last to arrive. Seems the decision making process went longer than you thought. You exit the car, and trade Tiffany your keys in exchange for the manilla envelope.

“Client’s being creepy, holding cards close to his chest,” she says to you as she snatches the keys to the old Mustang from your hands. “Don’t have much for you today. Sorry, Jan.”

You placate her worries, and climb the stairs aboard the private jet. The rest of the team watches you as you shamefully try to find a place to put all your gear, having a little trouble fitting it all. Well, fuck ‘em. They can get eaten by demons if they want.

Turning around, you see the three of them sitting separately, going back to what they were doing. Mikail is fawning over his drones, Solomon is going over his own dossier (Which you note is much thicker than your own), and Jonas is inspecting the components of his weapons, disassembled and laid out in front of him.

If the cult is also hosting upper-level ISIS officers, then they're likely to be more careful about local assets and may have people on the lookout for PMC's and wetwork teams.

You walk towards the back of the plane, and sit across from Solomon.

“Looks like you got a bunch of the deleted scenes,” you say, motioning towards the dossier. “What’s everyone trying to keep from me?”

“Trying to keep from us” he says, not looking up from the pages. “Not that I blame them. I wouldn’t want every two-bit gun for hire to have this kind of stuff in writing. This isn’t from the client,” he says. “I have a, ahh….. Source, in the CIA. This isn’t their op, but he managed to get me most of what they have on the actual cult, and the resort.”

“Makes sense,” you say, leaning back into your chair. “So, if these guys are hosting high level ISIS guys, shouldn’t they have people around the island, keeping a lookout and stuff?”

“Probably not,” he says, flipping through the file to find a page. “Says here the cultists have this ‘purty’ thing, refuse to integrate to society around them beyond the absolute most basic needs. Probably not going to have day jobs.”

“If you say so,” you reply. “Would have been nice for the client to give us this shit, though, instead of finding out through some CIA source.”

Hyun grunts his agreement, and continues to thumb through the dossier.

You say goodbye to Jonas as you stand, bringing down your firearms before you sit alone. You spend the rest of the flight disassembling your weapons, including the glock, making sure they are perfectly clean and in working condition.

Shortly after being satisfied with the state of your armament, the pilot announces that he’s about to set down on St. Vincent. After a somewhat bumpier landing than you’re used to, you load up your duffels and haul them down the folding staircase.

You walk down it, and end up on a dirt runway in the middle of a humid jungle, thick with trees and foliage. You absentmindedly swat at a mosquito as you walk away from the plane.

At the end of the runway, nearly to the thick line of trees, there are a trio of black SUV’s, and a lone man. He’s wearing a black suit with a thin red tie. He begins speaking as the four of you get within earshot.

“Field agent Young,” he says, ignoring Dove’s outstretched hand. “We’re about ten miles from the resort. Get in,” he orders as he enters the driver’s seat of one of the SUV’s. “Ask any questions you have now,” he finishes as he turns the ignition over. “We’ll brief you at the drop off point.”

“Bug spray,” you ask of the straight faced agent as you spray yourself down before boarding the vehicle.

“No,” he answers flatly. “Not the type of question I meant.”

“What type of patrols are we looking at,” Solomon asks as he gets into the shotgun seat.

“No patrols outside the walls,” Young answers, “just a small guard shack at the main entrance, and a pair of guards at the back maintence entrance.”

“What kind of weather we looking at,” Dove asks, fiddling with his drone remote.

“Thunderstorm rolling in in a few hours,” the agent responds. “Any luck, you’ll be gone before it hits.”

“What sort of troop numbers will be on site, you ask Young.

“Thirty from the cult,” he answers as the SUV bounces over a pothole in the beat up dirt road. “Probably another thirty between the other groups in the resort. They’ll have non-combat personnel, though.”

“Any chance we could use one of the SUV’s as an operations point,” you request.

“That’s why we have three,” he answers as he checks a mirror for the other two vehicles.

“Any sort of changes made to the resort by the cult,” Jonas asks, looking over a cheap tourist map of the island.

“Haven't been inside,” the agent replies, “but no heavy equipment has been seen going in or out, so we assume not.”

With that, Young pulls the vehicle over, and the five of you exit.

“Resort is a mile through the jungle if you want to sneak in,” Young says. “Or, follow the road about two miles if you want to go loud from the start. Up to you.”

With that, he turns on a heel and walks towards one of the following vehicles, leaving the one you had been in running.

You drive the SUV about twenty yards into the jungle as Young and the rest of his agents pull three point turns, and head back the other way.

“You’ll all be able to contact us,” you hear Young’s monotone voice over your comms. “Let us know if you need info on the fly or other questions.”

The four of you send back affirmatives, and meet at the back of the SUV.

“Let’s head in through the jungle,” Solomon says as he slaps a mag into his M1A, “See what we’re working with from there.”

“Sounds like a plan,” you say, hefting the weight of Egor out of the rear of the vehicle. You can feel him humming with energy.

The four of you set off, trudging through the jungle for about a mile, just like Young said. Before long, you end up at a ten foot concrete wall, in various states of disrepair. After about ten minutes of walking along it, you find a place a tree has fallen through, creating a gap big enough for the four of you to get a vantage point.

From here, you can see the main entrance, a massive iron gate that has been chained shut. There are two men on either side, and a small shack just inside, wit a number of antennae sticking out of it. There is the large main building, a least twenty stories tall, in the center, surrounded by a number of smaller wings, about five stories tall. Scattered through the rest of the walled resort are a number of small, one and two story buildings. Two, one with a concrete patio with glass walls, and the other a two-story building with two guards outside, have a number of people milling about, and entering and leaving pretty often.

Plan of action?
Now taking commissions. Order yours now before slots fill up.
>>
>>804799
Well, I say all four of us should go to where the tree fell in, which I am, assuming is the x, then we will split up into groups of 2. One group will go to the right to clear up the antenna building, while Jan and Solomon will go and start clearing out those small one story buildings
>>
>>804799
Let's use this opportunity to actually scope out the guards, what they're armed with, their level of readiness.

Are there any bushes or anything that would let us get through the gap in the wall and to the radio building without being seen?

I'm conflicted between taking out their radio shack, and what seems to be their VIP command center.

Also, guys, should we wait until the storm arrives so that the sound of gunfire will be covered by the storm and the darkness will help us?
>>
>>804848
I don't know how long that could be, but that might be a good idea
>>
>>804848

I'm not in favor of waiting on the storm. Thunder and lightning are often parts of rituals and dark plots. But scoping things out is a good idea.

Also, did anybody remember to lock the SUV?
>>
>>804943

>>
>>804848

>>805216
>>
Little run off vote, since it seems we're agreed on scoping the area out.

>Go now
>Wait for the cover of night and the storm
>>
>>806215
>>Go now

We can still delay the assault til the storm, and I'm fairly sure that scoping out the place will make more sense if we're actually able to see anything.
And I'm not sure how much our optics will help against that.

The assault though might make more sense, then. Especially if it's bad enough for the hostiles to head inside. Targets huddled together should be perfect for the LMG we for some reason chose for this op. Might be powerfull enough to shoot through some walls, though, depending on the builduings.
>>
>>806254
I'm voting for assault in the storm for the reasons above and the fact that lighting could be used as a power source in summoning rituals.
>>
>>806276
>and the fact that lighting could be used as a power source in summoning rituals.
I'm obviously not completely against an assault during the storm, but how is that a reason to wait?
>>
>>806215
Wait for the cover of night.

We all got IR/night vision so that we could assault at night.
>>
>>806281
I phrased that sentence wrong. We can't wait until the storm is done to strike, but assaulting during the middle of the storm makes sure that they're all in confined areas and we have some time to recon the place
>>
“Let’s scout it out now,” Solomon says, already glassing the area with his rifle scope. “Then, we use the cover of the storm to mask our entry and any gunfighting.

“Good plan,” Jonas says, nodding, and leaning his shotgun against the concrete wall, pulling out his phone. Every the professional.

You pull the scope from Egor and help Solomon, while Mikail gets a drone in the air.

After about two hours of searching, you learn three things: first, the two story building to the left is absolutely some sort of barracks. Men are coming out and going in at all times, usually in different states of armed and dressed. Second, the old bar is absolutely some sort of cantina now, as most men leaving the barracks are going straight there, and you can see drinking on the small patio. Third, only like, four of these guys are even remotely competent, and three of THEM have huge black beards, and have prayed at least once since you’ve stated watching. The rest leave their rifles wherever they lay them down, and most are getting smashed in the cantina. Your only real threat will be volume of fire from these guys. All in all, you counted about 70 individual fighters, with about thirty wearing the creepy red robes with a plate carrier over them, twenty or so that seem to be from ISIS, and the rest being made up of various rebel groups and dictator regimes.

Another hour passes, and you just feel the sprinkingling of rain on your shoulders, the wind shaking the tres, and the dull boom of thnder off the beach. It’s currently entering twilight, and you have about forty-five minutes to sundown.

>Plan of action?
>>
>>806808
Have we seen any indication of the ISIS recruiter or his guards?

Any way to have a drone take a C4 charge and drop it on the roof of the barracks without being seen?

If Mikail take the drone, and walks along the outside of the wall to the west and then north, having the drone go up over the wall will have the least chance of being seen.
>>
>>806823
Didn't see Solomon's man, but you could drop some C4 on the roof if you wanted to
>>
>>806808

I know it's dirty, but we should try to time our hit with the competent guys praying. Fuck 'em, and the extra seconds it takes them to organize.

>>806823 I like this plan, but I would like to be sure they don't have the hostages in the barracks first.

Okay. What we -need- to do is grab someone quietly...preferably one that looks like he knows English, unless someone knows Arabic?
>>
>>806858
Good point. Let's wait until they start praying. The guys will be hammered, and it will be easy pickings. Having an explosive surprise like here>>806823 couldn't hurt
>>
>>806850
Let's ask Solomon if he's okay with that. I mean, he wants the recruiter alive and the flash drive intact.
>>
>>806858
Solomon speaks a number of languages. Arabic is one of them.

So we want to nab someone and interrogate them? Also prime the barracks for an explosion? Just so we're clear, just dropping a block on the roof won't be nearly as effective as physically placing them at structural points
>>
>>806877

I think it's more in vein of a distraction. Make them think it's a dronestrike at first.

Great, so the question is, do we grab someone quietly, or bomb the roof and use the confusion to make a snatch and then interrogate?
>>
>>806891

“Let’s get to work, then,” Mikail says as he loads a drone up with one of your C4 blocks. “Nab one of them not paying attention, and find out what’s going on.”

The tree of you nod in response, and Solomon and Jonas withdraw their suppressed sidearms, vaulting the broken chunk of wall into the resort.

Turning right immediately, and enormously conscious of how obnoxiously large Egor is when you’re trying to sneak around with him. Solomon points out a man behind the corner of a building, taking a leak. You move to grab him, but Egor catches on a branch in the unkempt yard, and the man turns around with a yelp, his pants dropping around his ankles. You and Hyun leap at him, tackling him to the ground before he can get off a proper shout.

It’s clear he doesn’t speak english when you start asking questions, but Solomon begins speaking in Arabic, and the man begins blathering nearly immediately.

After a few minutes of exchanges, the man seems to relax, and Hyun turns to speak to the rest of you.

“They have about twenty hostages,” he begins, “keeping them in a conference room on the fifteenth floor. VIP’s from different organizations are in the top floor penthouse. They’re limited to mostly small arms and personal explosives, like grenades. There are a few MG points in the hotel, and a handful of RPG’s held in an armory.

“What are they planning, and where,” you ask Hyun, and he barks a few words to the hostage, who responds immediately.

“Going to sacrifice them in a few hours, huge pool on the penthouse floor,” Hyun answers. “Any other questions,” he asks the three of you.

‘Not really,” Dove says as you and Jonas shake your heads.

“Good,” Solomon says as he draws a combat knife, and dives towards the man, driving the blade deep into his throat. He lets out his death rattle as his body goes limp.

>He had an AK on him. You can take it if you like, but it will be dropped if you switch to your glock or Egor.
