You are Paxious Dromus, a Zabrak from a farming world just off the Iridonia system. You're also soon to be a Jedi Initiate on Tython. You have passed your first two trials on your way to being accepted by the Jedi as one of their own and after this next one, you will be officially inducted into the order.Last time, we met Nazz, a Mirialan girl from Nar Shaddaa and one of your fellow students. You and she both just passed the second trial with flying colors, proving yourselves to be quite adept in the Force. Your friend Lu, however, despite his huge Force potential, did not fair as well. He passed, but will not be in the advanced class with you and Nazz. Now you are standing in the crowd of your fellow students. What will you do?>Watch some of the other students>Go grab an early lunch>Go meditate>Chase after Lu. Encourage him.>Write-in

>>776540>>776577You break from the crowd and chase down Lu as he’s walking away. “Lu!” you yell, causing him to turn around, a mix of surprise and relief on his face as he hears the sound of at least a somewhat familiar voice. “Lu,” you repeat with your hands on your knees, panting from the short sprint you just performed. “If you can stand up to a Jedi Master, that intermediate class is gonna be a breeze.”He gives a half smile as he loosens his shoulders and relaxes, “Thanks, Paxious. Give me a week and I’ll see you and whatsherface in the advanced class."That’s when you notice Nazz has chased after you and stands right behind you, hands on her knees as she takes a second to breathe. “Hi...I’m Nazz...I need to breathe…” “Nice to meet you Nazz, I’m Lu,” says Lu as he starts to walk away back to the temple. “I’ll see you guys at lunch maybe.”What do you do?>Go hang out with Lu>Watch some of the other students>Go meditate>Write-in

>>776700>>776704Since you’ve literally figured out that you’re pretty strong with the Force less than ten minutes ago, you decide now would be a good time to focus on that and hone your potential with some meditation. You start to walk when Nazz stops you.“Hey, where do you think you’re off to?” she says inquisitively. “Thought I’d go meditate for a bit. I mean, I did just find out that I’m kinda strong in the Force and all,” you tell her matter-of-factly. “Oh,” she says, seemingly unsure, “I’ve never really meditated before.” What do you say?>Neither have I. >You don’t have to go.>First time for everything.>Think of it like idling a swoop engine to keep it running.>Write-in

I mean, if we’re going to be Jedi, we do have to start meditating at some point.”She still seems a bit unsure, although she begins walking with you. Noticing this, you try and calm her down a bit. “Think of it like idling a swoop engine to make sure the fuel deposits are clean and running.”She chuckles at your comment, “I don’t think all these Jedi would appreciate you summing up the Force in a swoop engine.”She seem to be much more comfortable with the idea of meditating though.Where will you meditate?>Find a secluded part of the garden>Go to the dormitories. >>776833>>776838>>776846You decide to make your way back into the the Temple and look for a meditation chamber you and Nazz could use. As you walk through the winding hallways, checking door after door to see if any of them seem to be a meditation chamber, you find that you might have become a little bit lost. Luckily, you see a figure walking toward you in the distance. He’s wearing a black jacket and, despite the lightsaber holstered at his hip, bears the resemblance of a military man more than a Jedi. One of his arms is robotic and his face is lined with ugly black scars. His walk is resolute and unwavering. It seems like a starship could crash in front of him and he’d just keep walking regardless. >>776874>>776888>>776896You decide to stop the man and ask for directions.“Exuse me, sir...er...master?” you ask, “Do you know if there’s a meditation chamber here we could use?”The man looks at you with stern eyes. Everything about his presence commands respect, even fear. His eyes look up from you and he seems to look at nothing in general, his eyes wandering without cause. He lets out a low groan, a much more tired and less dignified voice coming out than you would have expected. “I’m sorry Padawans,” he addresses both you and Nazz, “I am new to this Temple myself. I’m afraid I only know where the masters’ chambers are.”“Oh, we’re not Padawans yet,” says Nazz, looking up at the man, who is a good foot taller than her with absolutely no fear. She seems completely unaffected by his intimidating demeanor. “Oh, yes,” he mumbles to himself. “The new initiates. The ones much older than the last bunch.” His face sours just slightly.“Sorry,” he says, “No offense to either of you, I just don’t think taking in older children is a good idea. I won’t take that out on you though. Follow me to the masters’ meditation chambers. There’s a meeting right now so they’ll be unused.” >cont.
>>776936You follow closely behind the man, his fast pace causing you to have to break into a jog at times to keep up. You notice his pace doesn’t quite seem consistent. One of his legs moves slightly faster than the other, as if he has a slight limp. His breathing is loud and intrusive as he moves, as if each step is a huge labor for him. “I am Master Hallar, by the way,” he says, his voice oddly calm considering his breathing. “I am on Tython for only a short while, although I’m told I might end up teaching a class if Master D’jarik does not return in time from his current mission.”You arrive at a Master’s meditation chamber. “Now remember you two, there is a security system watching you,” he says, his voice growing slightly darker, even a bit angry at the end of his sentence. He turns around, content to leave. What do you do?>Enter the chamber and meditate>”I’m Paxious by the way!”>”How’d you get those scars?”>(to Nazz) “That’s the worst undercover Sith I’ve ever seen.”>Write-in

See ya around Master Hallar!” she says with a wave and a smile. He turns his neck and gives you what looks like an attempt at a smile, but it comes off as more of a grimace. His face seems to contain a mixture of confusion and sadness. You and Nazz enter the meditation chamber. It’s a plane room, two seats facing each other in the center. A strange aura seems to be everywhere in the room. You suppose it’s blue but it’s hard to really pin down at all.“Well, he seemed nice!” says Nazz, talking about Hallar. You see the Temple with all the initiates in the Garden, finishing up moving a rock. You give the rock an extra push for a student who’s struggling. You can see Master Hallar standing in a more isolated part of the garden. “Wait, dinner? What time even is it?” you ask.“Well, has the sun set yet Shelsa?” asks Korinth.“Yeah, just about.” Responds Shelsa.Wow. You were here for a long time.“W-we missed lunch?” asks Nazz. You look at her to discover she has a look like a sick kath pup. “We’ll get dinner right away, okay?” you assure her. She brightens slightly at this. “What makes you think there’s no Sith here?”“Well, besides the fact that none of the masters stationed here felt anything,” starts Korinth.“The only reason anyone suspects anything is because Master Aleusis had another one of his dreams,” finishes Shelsa. “What kind of dream?” asks Nazz, suddenly very alert to the conversation. “We...don’t know. He just said he thinks the Sith are on Tython. That was it. Hallar is here to investigate it. It’s his job to find Sith insurgency,” says Shelsa.“What’s his deal anyway?” you ask, “How’d he get those scars?”“I don’t really know. I heard he got captured by a Sith and tortured with Force Lightning,” say Korinth. “Supposedly it was on some secret mission that went wrong,” adds Shelsa, “All I know is that we thought he was dead for about 2 years and then he suddenly shows up again, I mean, minus an arm and a leg and half his face.” You dwell on this for a second, thinking about what you’ve learned.“Can...can we please go eat?” says Nazz, clearly containing herself. What do you do?>I just have one more question…(what?)>Sure, let’s go.>You can go. “Sure,” you say, putting a hand on your shoulder. “Let’s go eat.”Nazz’s eyes light up. You realize that you might be hungrier than you thought. You get to the cafeteria and find that it’s mostly empty. Ara and Jorraan are sitting in one corner and you and Nazz decide to join them. Oi, is Master Hallar an Inquisitor Glokta expy?
>>778509Hallar is actually the BBEG, obviously /sBut nah, Hallar is who the Order sends to make sure there's no Darkside presence some places. So he's kinda like a "Jedi Inquisitor" in the historical sense although no one calls him that.
>>778534So what sort of potential jobs might we be looking at? And is one of the possibilities Jedi Explore or say an Artifact Hunter? Or do you already have plans for this direction?
>>778633Oh, there are a lot of things the Jedi Order is in need of. First, you'll become a padawan and get put under a Master who will be in a certain field. Considering how well we're rolling, you'll probably have a few options for Masters who can be in fields ranging from Artifact Hunting to Darkside detecting (like Master Hallar) to negotiating to warrior to healer and many more beyond. What options you have will depend on how well you do in certain areas as a Jedi initiate. You've already shown a lot of raw Force Potential and a good attunement with Light Side, so you'll get quite a few Masters who specialize in that asking for you as a Padawan.
>>778633Oh and suggest stuff because I have ideas but I want to give you guys choices with this.
>>778641Awesome well you've got at least one player who is going to be pulling for the Indiana Jones option
>>778647I can't deny Jedi Indiana Jones would be cool. But Jedi Spec-Ops A-Team would be cool too.
>>779716It would be cool as well and I would keep playing if we went that direction. I think my main issue with it though is that a lot of questing seems to go with the Spec-Ops route, including a few different Star Wars quests over the years. The exploring gives a really solid opportunity to run into new aliens and planets, perhaps ones from outside cannon, while preserving the ability to still run into the normal antagonists. Gangers have hit a shipment of valuable artifacts, a race against a Sith infiltrator team to retreive a holocron out of a trapped and ruined Jedi Temple. That's my two cents on it but like I said, either way I'll keep playing because I really like the character here.
