Shimilia hid for the rest of the day and subsequent morning; probably she was scheming a strategy to defeat you. Gahan and Cif arrived later and tried to feed Emily cat food, she obviously refused. At some point, Cif got mad at Emily’s unwillingness to cooperate she called for her name, she knew the whole truth, you told everyone about her being a cat. “Shimi told me that I’ll referee.” She’s wearing some weird looking pants. Of course, this is a disadvantage for you; Emily is still holding a grudge. “She also said you have to wait for her to be ready. It’s going to be pretty fancy! You should get ready too!”

You go to the changing booth or whatever that is. Inside is your crate with your armor and some others clothes you own, this is going to be as serious as it can be! Your armor is on! Don’t worry is not heavy for you. Outside of it, you start warming up…

Gahan waves you from afar; then starts talking to you.

“Are you ready? It’s time! They told me to bring you along”

You nod confidently. You follow him to the backyard; a giant white circle is marked in the grass, that’s the ring area; Referee Cat Emily is sitting outside of it on a box, she’s looking quite solemn. Cif is in the center of it. Gahan stops you…

“Cif needs to introduce you first!”

What. You see around the battlefield to spot a small crowd of people… It seems this somehow turned into an event; Aust and Nedda are on the front row, they wave at you.

“La-la-ladies and gentlemen!” Cif sounds nervous, he’s playing the announcer role, he has a megaphone thing “ The following contest is scheduled for one… catch?... it has a 30 minute time limit, the biggest competitor needs to catch the smallest one within the designated area… Introducing first! Weighting less than Emily! She’s from disgusting town of Cacoth, ILIN!”

Gahan gives you a pat on the back and you walk forwards, you received an small pop from the crowd… it was kind of nice.

Rival Battle has begun! You starting to hear Shimilia’s battle theme song, it sounds somewhat dumb but threatening at the same time, fitting Shimilia’s playful nature.

One of her biggest weakness is that she’s starving for attention, you sit down in the middle of the ring and began meditating. You want to channel the SWOLE into your leg muscles! This probably is going to piss off Shimilia any way, so it's worth trying.

“Hey! Hey! Hey! You’re boring the people!”

You start hearing a displeased crowd; you somehow turn the tides and made yourself the bad guy in this situation…

“Well! I have to be the hero once again!”

Shimilia starts posing for the crowd while she skips around you in circles! The moment you see her indulging too much in the love of the people, you jump for her!

Despite all this, you remain calm; it seems meditating made you more composed than expected.

You start stomping the ground hoping to break the terrain! For each one of your stomps the crowd starts clapping.

“Good! You’re making them like you again!” Lighting Shimilia says. You wonder why she wants them to cheer for you. Maybe it has to do something with her concentration…

Anyway, you stomp so hard you make the terrain uneven with some small bumps. It’s hard to walk in it, this will make easier for you to capture your target.

You jump and give your strongest stomp in hopes Shimilia somehow goes up in the air, of course it didn’t really happen, you kind of make a bigger bump here. Could be useful. The crowd looked impressed, but confused.

“What are scheming?” Shimi looks worried.

Your legs hurt a bit, but the terrain is in your advantage.

You expected this to affect Shimilia in a different way, something is odd about this. Pumping up the crowd made you feel good like never before in your life and they seem to start reacting to everything you’re doing, they are on your side 100%. Maybe this is exactly what you need to catch the butterfly.

Time to continue the mind games, you start impersonating Shimilia and her dumb outfit! You start mimicking her dumb movements while acting like a fool! The crowd is eating this up and laughing in their heart’s content! Shimilia looks furious!

“MEANIE!” She yells! you broke her guard; she’s acting like good old Shimilia now. She can’t concentrate like before. You don’t know what she expected since she wanted the crowd against her…

Here goes nothing! You attempt to catch her, she jumps away from you but ends up tripping with one of the bumps, then she falls in the biggest one you stomped before, she’s curled inside crying! She knows she fucked up! You go after her! You try to grab her, but she kicks you away with her feet, then she rolls backwards out of the bump, she’s all dirty now and very close to you…

“Look at what you DONE!” she’s not hiding her anger, the crowd boos her tantrum, she’s totally breaking inside… “SHUT UP!”

You and Shimi start wrestling each other… it seems Little Shimi is back... you take the upper hand and applied a headlock!

Well, in a weird dumb way, you ended up recovering good old Shimi, at least that’s what you think… Will the effects of… whatever you did… will be permanent? Will you ever go to the fortune teller? Will you go the execu— wait that already happened… What happened to Fishy McLighting? Is this the reason Shimilia took the “lighting” nickname? Well, it’s not likely, but we could find out the answers in the next session of Not so Glorious Quest!

Fucking nothing happen this chapter! But whatever! Next week everything is going to get fun!

Sadly, I couldn’t keep my promises and I didn’t deliver on the Halloween special or the character sheets. I do have every portrait ready; it’s just matter of deciding what information to put in those damn sheets. Also I updated Gahan’s pupils for the guy who cared.
