>It's been quite a while since the last thread so lets do a quick recap and refresh some memories.

It is the 5th Era, year 112. You are Manius Bentius, Imperial Crusader, born and raised in the capital of Orsinium, The Iron City. You were tasked in delivering an ancient Daedric artifact to Kvatch from the Iron City after an unknown faction seeking this artifact destroyed the city of Dushnik-Yal. You took the artifact known as the Horn of Curses and traveled to Markarth, Falkreath, and then Bruma where you nearly met your fate at the end of an assassin's blade and gained a companion, a Dunmer evoker named Selas Vardeym. Today you have departed from Skingrad and are on your way to Kvatch to deliver the horn; Divines bless you, Crusader.

Without any thought, effort, or reason, you open your eyes and reach for whatever object is nearing your face. This 'instinct' isn't exactly something you were born with, rather something you developed. Living with Orcs meant being exposed to their brutal rituals and mannerisms. Many which included a clean jab to the face as a wake up call.

"By Azura! I mean no harm, you fool!" Selas said in surprise as he tried to pry his arm away from your grip.
"Perhaps you should have woken me up a different way. Wouldn't that be the scholarly thing to do?" you said angrily gritting your teeth.
"Of course! Except for the fact that you sleep like a corpse. No amount of calling and yelling would wake you up."
"That might become a problem then. How close are we to Kvatch?"
"We'll arrive shortly, you can see the city from here. About an hour more and we'll arrive." Selas said as he sat down and turned to look at the landscape.

You leaned back on the carriage, feeling the cart slightly lean with you. You were really in Kvatch. Your duty to your people, it was almost over. It felt strange, being out in a foreign land that is technically supposed to be your home. But yet here you were, in your technical homeland saving your actual homeland. Pride welled within you.

"Here we are, the famed city of Kvatch. This city's as big as the Imperial City. Some would even say this is one of the largest in all of Tamriel. Anyway, you won't have a carriage waiting on you this time, you'll have to hire one and make your way back. Don't worry, your warchief fellow covered most of the payment. Good luck to you, Imperial!" said the driver as he snapped on the reins and sped off.

Kvatch. The man wasn't wrong, the city was huge. You had heard Selas talking about how the city used to be a battleground for Daedric forces back in the 3rd Era. The only proof of that you saw was the giant crimson spikes protruding from the ground near the front gate. There was also the giant arch-like structure in front of the actual gate.

It looks like the folks here in Kvatch really own up to their turbulent history. Admirable. But now you had to act, you were in Kvatch and you needed to find your contact, or you could go and see the city and get to know it a bit better.

"Let's get to work. We are searching for a Nord named Brillaf Whitemane. He's somewhat aged and grizzled but make no mistake, that man is bloodkin." you said as you walked the streets of Kvatch.
"What exactly is a bloodkin?" Selas said as he shadowed your steps.
"Honorary Orc. The things you have to do as an outsider to impress an Orc, well, let's just say that it often overshadows what an actual Orc can and is willing to do."
"Fascinating. Your people have advanced so much yet retained many of their primitive traditions."
"Watch your tongue, Dunmer, or I'll tear it off myself."
"My sincerest apologies, anyways, where would we find this Whitemane fellow?"
"No idea. Warchief suggested we ask around. So I say we take that route."

You spent quite a while asking the locals about Whitemane. Not many people seemed to recognize the fellow or even have heard of him. Few people even knew who you spoke of. You're starting to doubt the usefulness of these locals. Not even the local watchmen knew of who you spoke of. Perhaps the innkeeper? Store keepers? There has to be someone who will know.

Church head. Its the first place you see when you walk into Kvatch
>>
If Whitemane deals with artifacts of Divine origin, then surely he should have some connections to the local Chapel. You look to the skies and see the familiar towering building of brick and glass. Kvatch devotes their worship to Akatosh, especially so since the 3rd Era when the Emperor turned into Akatosh himself and banished a Daedric Prince.

The chapel itself was quiet and calm. Monks knelt at the altars and people prayed at the shrine of Akatosh. You and Selas went to talk to the men of the church, asking for a man named Whitemane. One of the monks looked confused until his eyes sparked up.

"Of course! Yes, I know the man! He doesn't go by the name Whitemane often anymore. He prefers the alias, Pelen-Tusk. Unfortunately, he isn't in Kvatch I'm sure... But, he will be back. He often goes on these short expeditions to caves and ruins around the country side searching for artifacts. You could go and search for him, he shouldn't be far. You could also wait for him here, I'm sure he'll be back within a few days." said one of the monks. His gaze tired yet cheerful.

"Wonderful. The fate of Orsinium is in the hands of a Dunmer, a senile Nord, and I."

>We don't have a few days. We're going to go look for him.

"No time to waste. We're going after him." you said turning to leave when you felt a hand grip your shoulder.
"We would be wise to get to know our target more before running out blindly." said Selas, his long and thin brows furrowed.
"Very well. Where is he?" you said to the monk.
"I know not, only that he headed West." the monk said scratching his bushy beard.
"When did he depart?" Selas pushed through you to ask the monk
"Few days ago, it's quite the norm for him. Sometimes he could be gone for weeks, though that rarely happens. He usually takes a few mercenaries with him in case he gets overwhelmed. The man can handle himself, but age is catching up with him." the monk said as he sat on one of the nearby benches.
"What was he looking for?" you butted in
"Artifact of the month it seems. He's always out to hunt some obscure relic. Divine's know what goes through that man's head."

Nodding, you made your way to the door. Selas followed this time, perhaps realizing that this was all they needed and could most likely do with. Whitemane was an adventurer, plain and simple. The problem was, nobody knew how far the man had gone. It could be days before you reach him. You don't have any supplies to survive outdoors. You could wing it, Cyrodiil isn't so hostile as Skyrim or Orsinium...

You unhook your money pouch and drop it in Selas's hand.

"Get some supplies, bedroll, food, whatever you think we'll need. Run with the money and I'll hunt you down. I have your scent." you gave an intimidating snarl to Selas as he backed away into the market place.

You had no business there anymore, instead, you took some time to survey the landscape. It seemed like the west was nearing a coast. Rain would most likely be common. The forests also seemed to halt around the west and instead you saw plains and hills. The conditions wouldn't be harsh, but being out in the open like that made you nervous. You were prone to any ambushes from the local miscreants. Worse, some assassin's wanting revenge. You shook those thoughts off as you heard a familiar voice behind you.

"I hope I'll not be the one carrying this mountain of junk!" said Selas, with an annoyed look that you've become very familiar with.
"You better be a great caster because I'm running out of ideas on why I'm letting you along. I thought pack mule was going to be reason enough but you're making it real hard for me to sympathize with you." you said as you hung the travel pack over your shoulder.
"Excuse me for not being a brute with a few healing spells."
"Keep running your mouth like that and I'll show you what brute magic is like."

The two of you walked a few miles west, noting certain places of interest and marking the roads. There were very little ruins or ancient looking places in the distance, making you reluctant to keep going.

"They say places like this used to be riddled with forts and ruins. Why would they be so scarce now?" said Selas in a perplexed tone.
"Looters, adventurers, bandits, historians, crazed relic hunters... The list goes on." you said with your eyes glued to the map.
"This Nord must have one hell of an eye to find some ruin in the midst of all this vast nothingness."
"This Imperial must have quite a lot of patience to endure the pointless and frustrating banter that keeps him from properly navigating."
"This Dunmer must have quite a good reason to even walk alongside a silver-tongued brute that can't handle a bit of talk."

Hours went by until you saw something. It was a set of ruins protruding from the ground. There were arches made of white stone, and a spring filled with magicka. Just what was this place?

"You think he's in there?" Selas said as he stared down the entrance to the ruin.
"Only one way to find out." You said as you walked inside to the main room.

The inside was a soft shade of blue and made of the same white stone the arches were made from. Inside, your magicka seemed to flow everlasting.

"What is this place?" you asked while inspecting the architecture.
"An Ayleid ruin perhaps? The architecture seems to match my notes. How exciting! Many say these ruins actually generate magicka! Not sure how true that is but it is exciting none the less!"

[1/2]
>>
"Looks like our friend has been here. There's a few trails of blood here. And some potions. Looks like they were in a hurry." You say as you slide your finger across a bloodied surface.
"Indeed, it seems some of the Welkynd stones have been removed..."
"What in Oblivion is a Welkynd stone?"
"They generate magicka. The Ayleids used them as portable magicka batteries. Similar to a magicka potion, only difference is they could hold incredible amounts of magicka."
"Maybe we could snag some. Bet they sell for a hefty price among Mage's Guild people."
"Sure, let's sell a marvel of ancient technology rivaling that of the Dwemer for a quick bag of Drakes. Sounds great."
"Glad we are in agreement. Anyway, we should split up. One of us is bound to find Whitemane. If we do, then we simply search for one another. We know where we went, right?"
"How about we stick together. We have a higher chance of survival and we won't waste time searching for one another."

"Fine. We'll stick together. Can't believe I have to babysit you. Should've expected it from a Dunmer though."
"I'll burn you alive where you stand. I can hold my ground, I simply find it more effective if we work together."

With that, the two of you delved the ruins looking for Whitemane. You found a blood trail yet no corpse. Several weapons lay about but no armors or corpses. Selas had been gathering several Welkynd Stones along the way and pointing out anything suspicious. You were beginning to think perhaps this was the wrong dungeon.

"These aren't mercenary corpses. Look at their blades. Most mercenaries have blades with symbols or runes, and enchantments. These are ebony weapons, and only a handful. Who ever this was, he either ran or died. Whatever caused these outcomes must be something strong." you said as you examined one of the ebony blades, broken and bent.
"Then perhaps we shouldn't stick around. Whatever attacked these adventurers must still be around. Come, we can find a new ruin to delve in, but I say this one is too dangerous to keep exploring in." said Selas as he struggled to keep his stones balanced.

"No. We stay, maybe Whiteman is down here and we were just about to leave him to his fate. Come on." you practically drag Selas along with you.

Further down the ruin, the scent of blood becomes stronger and the bodies you couldn't find had begun to show up all over the floors. They were all burned and dried, as if they had been like that for centuries.

"I sense foul magicka here, Bentius we should go." Selas urged you, his face alarmed.

You ignored the Dunmer and walked the ruins. The air was thick and damp. There was a strange hint of pestilence in the air. Just what was down here?

"Bentius, he isn't down here! Let's get out of he-" Selas began to urge you once again when you both heard a loud shriek.

It was a piercing sound, similar to that of a hawk or eagle, but much more eerie and evil. You drew your blade and Selas threw up his hands in a combat stance. Laughter echoed down the halls of this ruin and you knew you weren't alone. Someone, something was down here.

You frantically turned and pointed your sword at empty spaces. The eerie breathing surrounded you and Selas in the dark and damp ruin. Selas was weaving flames between his hands increasing the brightness of the flame. You had not seen the power this Evoker held, perhaps you'd be surprised as to what the boy could do.

"Any idea of what we're up against?" you said as your eyes darted across the room.
"Probably a ghost; Ayleid ruins are known to house nasty spirits." Selas said mimicking the motions of your eyes.

It didn't take long for your opponent to reveal itself. It descended from the ceiling in a graceful manner. It's face twisted and contorted, rotten and gaunt. Its eyes glowed a dull blue. Its robes tattered and the embellishments torn. It sported a worn crown with two broken spikes on top of it. Its staff was bent and twisted with the gold decorations broken and withered. It stared at the both of you and spoke in an unintelligible tongue. You felt its eyes drift from your face down to your tabbard and suddenly it let out a scream. A scream that shook you to your core and it began to spew flames from its staff on to you, ignoring Selas. You dodged the flames and gripped your blade harder.

"What in Oblivion is this thing?!" You yelled at Selas.
"Lich! They're powerful undead mages, let's get out of here I doubt we can take this on!" Selas said as he began to pace backwards.

>Luck for you, I've got a knack for the undead. (Stay and fight)

"Right behind you!" You said as you backed away slowly leaving a spot open for Selas to run away.

The lich slowly floated towards you with an angry snarl and you saw his hands began to glow. Not taking any chances you kicked dust behind you as you began to run down the halls and up some stairs. You and Selas both end up in a room with 4 halls. One way is forward, another is left, another is right, and the last is behind you were the Lich is.

"It was either left or right, I remember we had to turn. I believe they both link up to the same atrium." Selas said in a desperate tone.
"Divines, I only remember heading in a straight line!" you said echoing Selas's tone.

The screams of the Lich neared you as you were making your decision.

The Lich is pretty powerful so it will at most deter it for a few seconds given that it doesn't set up some ward or other magickal protections. As for the blessing, we have a favor from Stendarr but not a blessing. I did, however, forget to add in Kyne's spells and blessings as our Ritual. That has been fixed.

"Left! Let's go!" You allowed Selas to run first and then followed him. The two of you ran as fast as you can towards another room with corpses littered on the floor. There were 5 of them all with massive holes dotted around their bodies.

"Careful, it's a trap. Pitfall by the looks of it." Selas heaved as he tried to regain composure.

The two of you had eased since you couldn't hear the screams of the Lich no more. That probably didn't mean you were in the clear but it did mean you probably didn't have to run like mad. It was evident that you were more accustomed to running than Selas was.

"How do we get past it then?" you said as you crouched down to inspect the trap platforms.
"Let's see if it even registers pressure still. Those corpses may have permanently deactivated the trap by triggering it."
"Or we could head back and go to the right hallway. We know we haven't gone through here. For all we know, we might be heading down into a dead end and we could be wasting time here."
"What of the Lich? And what if we head down and find Whitemane? It's worth a try, Bentius."

He had a point. The Lich was probably in the room with the halls by now. You didn't know that for sure but it was possible. It was also possible to see Whitemane further into the ruins.

You thought for a second before finally stepping up to Selas, "Alright, how do we deactivate the traps?"
"Well you assume that they still even work. Just drag one of the corpses from the platform and drop it back in." he said pointing at the nearest corpse.

You walked up to it and gripped the corpse's feet. You dragged the corpse and lay it at your feet near the trap. The corpse was that of a Breton female. She was clad in iron armor. Perhaps the muscle of the group. You knelt down and began to dig around her armor for anything of value. You managed to dig up a small pouch with a supple amount of Septims jiggling inside. You opened the pouch to get a better look and found a crumpled up note. You weren't about to count the coins but you did hand the note to Selas so he could read it as you activated the trap.

"I would have called that sort of behavior disgusting and sacrilegious but I forget that you're an Orsinium native." he said as he took the note from you.

You lifted the corpse over your shoulder and walked up to the platform. You threw the corpse and to your surprise you found no movement from the trap or anything else from the room.

"I think it's safe... You want to give it a go?" you asked Selas.
"Excuse me? Are you suggesting I step into the trap? Are you mad?" he said, looking up from reading the note.
"Just a suggestion."

You planted your foot down on the trap ready to spring yourself backwards if need be. Nothing. You planted your other foot and once again assumed position to jump back. Nothing. You walked forwards and successfully made it to the end of the trapped floor.

"Selas, the trap is clear!" you yelled across the room.
"Keep your damn voice down, the Lich might hear us!" Selas scolded in a hushed tone.

Selas carefully walked across the platform keeping himself light and steady.

"At times like this, I wish I would have read some more on Alteration. Things such as levitation may have been extremely beneficial." Selas said as he handed you the note back.
"What did the note say?"
"That the mercenaries would get the other half of their payments upon recovering the staff located here. I assume the staff is guarded by that Lich. I also assume that the initials P.T. are linked to Whitemane."
"What makes you think that?"
"Pelen-Tusk. His alias. I believe he hired mercenaries to search these ruins while he searched another."
"Or perhaps he gave this note to every mercenary in order to remind them of their job. It's quite common for our bosses to do that. I still have many of my order notes stored away at my home."
"So you think he might be here?"
"It's very possible."

[1/2]
>>
Selas nodded and the two of you walked briskly down the halls. The halls lead further down the ruins but at this point, getting away from the Lich was high on your priority list. You came upon two doors on opposite sides of each other. One held a glowing carving of what looked like a tree. The other was the same as all the other doors; a circular design in the center that showed what was behind the door.

"I'm getting tired of these twists and turns in these ruins..." you muttered as you looked back and forth between the two doors.
"The Ayleids weren't as ingenious as the Dwemer when it came to architecture I'll give you that." Selas said as he looked around the room.

"I say we take the glowing one. Looks important." You said as you pointed to the door on the left wall.
"Normally I would scold that type of behavior but right now I can't help but agree." Selas said as he ran his fingers through the door.
"How does it open?"
"I have no idea. I've never seen anything like it. The branches and trunk seem as though they're filled with magicka. Perhaps if I try to extract it..."
"Let's try the other door then..."
"No no, I can do this."

Selas traced the glowing branches carefully and then placed both his hands on the door. He closed his eyes then the door began to glow brighter and brighter. Selas breathed and the brightness quickly faded as the blue glow was now gone from the door. The door cracked from the middle and split open.

"Does this mean we can't open this door again?" you said as you stepped through the split door.
"Unlikely. Ayleids were masters of magicka. The door will most likely refill itself with magicka and then close again by itself. I believe that if you would want to close it yourself, you would need to give back the magicka you took from it."
"Smart, but time consuming." you said as you walked down a flight of stairs.

You ended up in a room that was similar to some sort of lounge. There were benches everywhere and a few dorm like areas. You passed that room and headed into another room which had a raised circular platform with the image of what you could guess to be a radiant sun on the center of the platform.

"Looks like a teleportation pad. I know the guild borrowed this design many eras ago." Selas said as he stood on the pad.
"Do we know where it leads?"
"Absolutely not. But if my Ayleid studies are correct, we will be teleported to either an exit, an entrance, or somewhere very important."
"How vague."
"It's the best lead we have. That or we delve deeper into the ruin."
"Wouldn't the portal lead us deeper?"

"I don't like this." You said to Selas
"What choice do we have? Do you really want to fight against a Lich?"
"Divines help us..."

You stepped into the portal and watched as Selas pumped the platform with magicka. In the blink of an eye the air was clearer and brightness clouded your eyes.

"It seems it transported us outside." Selas said as he shielded his eyes from the sudden brightness.

As your eyes adjusted you began to look around at the unfamiliar ground. You weren't just outside. You were high above. Much higher than you'd thought. You looked down from where you were and found yourself staring down at a circular fort like structure. The circle was huge and surrounded the structure you were on.

"By Azura, we're at the summit of the White Gold Tower..." Selas said in shock.
"Great. We lost days of progress. How do we get out of here?"
"There is this hatch. Come then, perhaps our friend can be in there."

You and Selas climbed a ladder down to a floor where several armed guards pointed their blades at your necks.

"Didn't think I'd see more of you damn trespassers here. You have any reason to be here?" said one of the guards. His armor was silver with golden trimming and a fancy design of a red dragon on his breastplate.
"We were in some Ayleid ruins. We went through a portal and landed here. We mean no harm, kinsman." you said to the guard.

"I didn't know you could be such a pleasant and diplomatic person, Bentius."
"Have you forgotten that I was born Imperial?"
"Sometimes I forget you were raised Orcish."

You walked along the Plaza. It was a pleasant place, many people were walking around enjoying the scenery. Some gathered in groups and fro what you could overhear there were many important people here. Nobles and politicians tended to gather here apparently. You exited the plaza and headed off into another district. This district was lush and vivid. Many people here were Mer.

"The Elven Gardens... My mother used to take me here as a child. She would teach me how to control my flames." Selas said in a peaceful tone.
"My mother used to take me to hunt down beasts in the wild. She said it wasn't so hard, that she had to get used to it but to me she was a natural."
"Wasn't she Imperial?"
"Both my folks were, but they quickly learned to adapt to Orcish life."

You were in the market district next, were there was a dense amount of people. It was hard to move about on the streets but somehow you got around.

"Think we should get anything? Or should we head to the prison district? I see the sign saying it's just this way!" Selas said in a loud tone trying to stand out among the loud and busy crowds.

"We can get things when we're done. Time is wasting and Whitemane is proving to be a slippery fellow." You said as you pushed people out of your way.

Selas followed close behind, struggling to push away people. You reached the entrance to the prison district. It wasn't the most decorated but there was a large amount of guards around every corner. You entered the large building in the center and were met by a lone man behind a desk.

"Visitor hour isn't until midday, do you have any business here?" said the man lazily, eyeing you and Selas.
"Captain Bernori has granted us access to the intruder to the Tower." you said as you walked up to the desk.
"Is that so? Well I received no such warning so we will have to wait and see."
"We need to see this prisoner now, it is extremely important, sir." said Selas, planting his hands on the desk.
"If this matter is so important, then I would have known about it before. Now, leave or wait till the Captain arrives."
"You are putting a very important ally of the Empire at risk with your actions." you snarled at the man.
"You don't scare me, kinsman. Now leave."

You left the building and sat on a nearby bench. Perhaps waiting would be the best course of action. You asked a guard if he could retrieve the Captain. You informed if your situation with the prison warden and he left at once. You waited around an hour before the Captain arrived.

"I'm going to kill Sabilus for this..." He stomped inside the building followed by you and Selas.

While the Captain argued with the warden, you and Selas were led to the prisoner's cell where you encountered a sturdy Nordic man sitting and muttering under his breath.

"Oi, Nord. You have visitors." said the guard who escorted you.

Whitemane opened his eyes his face lit up once he saw you. He ran to the bars and ran his fingers through your tabbard.

"The light and winds will guide us, under elves man shall never mourn, We gift you, man, the crusader and the dragonborn..." Whitemane said rapidly.
"Brillaf? Brillaf Whitemane?" You asked the Nord.
"So long have I waited to hear the name..." He reached an arm through the gates in a familiar pose. One you answered with by gripping the forearm and mimicking the traditional Orcish greeting.
"Mara be praised. What does Norghul need?" he said with focused eyes.
"He wants you to inspect this. Destroy it or fix it. It has become a liability and caused the destruction of Dushnik-Yal." you said as you handed Whitemane the horn.
"Impossible. The Horn doesn't have such power." he said with a frown as he inspected the artifact.
"Someone thinks it does. The city was destroyed by an army looking for the artifact."

"Shor's bones... Who?"
"A black banner with a golden dragon. That is all I know of."
"Sounds like Thalmor. But they've been reduced to an espionage sect. They lack such power."
"Perhaps they fund this organization?"
"Perhaps. I need to get out of here, we need to arrive at my office. We can figure things out
a lot faster and a lot more clearly."
"Any ideas as to how we can get you out?"
"You, Dunmer, how good is your pyromancy?"
"Exceptional." Selas said as he conjured up a small yet bright flame.
"Melt the lock."
"Shouldn't we just ask the warden? I'm sure they'll let you go." you said
"Doubtful, but go ahead."

You stepped in between the warden and the captain who were still arguing. You explained your need to free the man and they asked for money in order to release him. Instead, you offered to expose their backdoor. With that deal sealed, and a portal soon to be sealed as well; you, Selas, and Whitemane exited the prison.

"I didn't think that would have worked." Whitemane said as he stroked his beard.
"I guess you aren't such a brute after all, Bentius." said Selas

You kept quiet as the three of you headed to the Imperial Mage's Guild. The Mage's Guild district was completely renovated after its previous disbandment. Patrons of the guild walked the district working on or displaying impressive spells and other arcane feats. You didn't much care for such things, to you restorative spells were all you needed.

"This portal can take us to Kvatch's guild. From there we can head to my office." said Whitemane as he slipped on some boots the Guild offered him.

"To Kvatch then." You said as you stepped into the teleportation pad.

Teleportation always screwed with your head and made you dizzy. You didn't understand why, but it always did. Perhaps it was the sudden change of orientation? Who knew. But once again you found yourself stumbling out of the pad. The three of you walked the streets of Kvatch until you arrived at a small hidden building. It was old and creaky but the inside was lively. Hundreds of books lay about and a banner with a design similar to your tabbard's was hung on the wall.

"A fellow scholar of the Knights, I see..." said Selas with a wide smile.
"Yes, I presume that your interest in the Knights is the reason you accompany Bentius?" said Whitemane.
"Keen observation. What do you know of the Knights?"
"If we could please leave that matter to after we have taken care of the Horn?" you said impatiently
"Right, the Horn. Well, I won't be able to destroy it easily. We could however, drain all of its power into a different artifact. One that could be destroyed. But, destroying it would mean unleashing the power in an area for an unknown amount of time. It could be seconds, or ages. Possibly forever. This is Malacath's after all. He isn't one to dissipate curses so easily. Much like Clavicus." Whitemane said as he flipped through his notes.

You sat back and watched the two scholars, Whitemane and Selas, look through notes and tinker with the Horn. You were content in sitting down on a bench and reading about the Knights. It seems all the books in Whitemane's house were of these Knights. You read on their origin and who they were. They were an order dedicated to the deeds of a man named Pelinal Whitestrake. A man who vanquished the elves long ago. He, Saint Alessia, and Morihaus stopped the enslavement of man and set up the first Empire of man. That is where your tabbard originates from. The symbol is the symbol of the Knights. This means your father had delved into the ruins of one of their sanctuaries. How odd.

"I believe I'll need more time. I don't have enough housing here for both of you to stay. I will only have time for one of you to stay. The other, here's some coin for the Inn. Who would like to stay? I could use the Dunmer, he is sharp and could speed up the process. If you don't trust him, you could also stay, Bentius."

>Let Selas stay, he knows more and will be of more help than I.
>I'll stay. I don't quite trust him yet. He can come early morning if he wants to help.

We could just take the destroyable object to morrowind and Vvardenfall and destroy it. That place is a shithole anyway.

Yeah but they would be after us, not the horn.
>>
"Selas, mind staying?" you said as you stood up.
"No, not really. I'd be honored to stay. I sense that I could learn a lot more from Whitemane."

With that, you nodded and took the bag of Septims. You headed out the door and into the streets of Kvatch. It was dark out and yet the city was still very much alive. Many people were all heading one direction, prompting you to ask one of the bystanders of where everyone was going.

"You not from around here? Everyone's headin' to the arena! It's an advancement match, Myrmidon to Warrior, it should be good!" an excited Redguard said.

You suppose it could be fun to watch some fools beat each other to death. Being a man that is always in the fight, it could be fun to watch someone fight. Perhaps you'd learn a thing or two.

Keep in mind that in this setting, Morrowind has largely reconstructed most of its key areas. Vvardenfell, and mainland Morrowind have been mainly restored. Some parts of mainland do belong to the Argonians however.

I'm still constructing a simple timeline to give some more context to a lot of the world. Everything has more or less changed.

Let´s compare them to the orcs fighting
>>
You followed along the large crowds to the arena. As you got closer, the cheering was becoming much louder. There was a large line at the entrance and it took quite a while for you to get to the front of it. There was an Altmer man gathering coin from the crowds and as you came up he said, "New to the Arena? I've never seen you before. You can bet on a fight, simply spectate one, or you can go down to the Barracks of each team and become a fighter. It costs 50 Septims per fight, 80 on Advancement matches, 100 on Champion matches. You can bet as much or as little as you like, betting more than a thousand Septims means you can go and meet the fighter you're betting on before the show. Any questions?"

You currently have 1825 Septims.

You dug around your pouch and quickly counted off 80 Septims and dropped them into the Altmer's hand. He opened a door behind you and told you to pick any seat. You entered the arena and were greeted with a magnificent sight. There were bright lights everywhere and the actual battle ground was bloody and dotted with spiked poles. You saw the two gates where the contestants would come out from, they were a shade of crimson. You found an empty seat amidst the large cheering crowds.

"What time does the show start?" you asked the man next to you.
"In about an hour, in around 10 minutes we're gonna get the appetizer show! One of the brawlers is gonna go up against a troll!" said the overly excited Nord next to you.

You looked up when you heard the loud booming voice of the announcer. He sat on a balcony as he yelled into a hole, "People of the arena! Today you will be treated to one of the most anticipated matches of the season! But, that will have to wait. For now, we will watch as one of the Brawlers from Team Dragon Claw faces off against a hungry and angry Troll!"

The people cheered loudly as the contestant came into view. He raised his blade up high and pounded his shield on his chest. His armor wasn't anything impressive. It was designed for mobility and speed. Typical. The Redguard Brawler would most likely keep himself quick while striking fast and not doing much damage. It would be interesting but overall it wouldn't be much of a show for you. It was more entertaining watching the runts back in Orsinium wrestle bears to earn their meal.

The gates were being opened and the troll wasted no time in rushing his opponent. The Brawler expected this and strafed to the side as he left his blade lingering in his spot to do a sneaky slash on the troll's side. The troll fell for it and it stumbled. You could tell the Redguard didn't know just how fast a troll can mend its own skin because the fool ran up to the troll to finish it off. The troll stood quickly and swiped at the Brawler, knocking him off his feet. The Brawler ditched his shield and kicked himself up to regain footing. He only had his blade now, if he's quick enough then he'll have a chance. The troll roared as it began to charge wildly at the Brawler. The Brawler stood for a second unsure of what to do. He was unfocused for too long however, and was subject to another nasty swipe from the troll. This time, the Brawler was not so lucky in evading the entire swipe. He was hurt badly and while he was able to get away, he wouldn't be able to run much longer. That is when you saw something you had never seen before. The Brawler threw his sword on the ground and let himself get cornered by the slowly approaching troll. The Brawler's eyes began to glow a bright cyan. In his hands, a large blade made of light appeared seemingly out of nothing. This was no spell, this was something else. The crowd fell silent, sharing your astonishment.

The sword slashed clean through the troll and the ground shook. The crowd began to cheer and praise the brawler. The bright glow quickly faded and the deep vibrations you felt did so as well. The Brawler was left empty handed and he limped away into his barracks. So far, this was becoming quite the show.

After a few more announcements, the main show was ready to begin. "People of the Imperial City, welcome, to the Arena!" the announcer boomed and was subsequently drowned out by the loud cheers of the spectators. "Today we have, an advancement match! Team Bonesplit's Myrmidon, Tun-Ja; an Argonian nightblade, versus Team Wolfblood's Myrmidon, Therron, a Breton Knight. Who ever wins this fight shall move to the rank of Warrior! Contestants, are you ready? Lower the gates!" with that, the gates were lowered and the cheers and boos were filling the arena. What caught your attention however, wasn't the fight. It was the Breton's tattoo. On his arm lay a dark band with a golden dragon on it.

That's gonna do it for today, thanks all for participating. It was a long thread and hopefully I can repeat that tomorrow. As always there will be updates on the next session on the Quest twitter: https://twitter.com/LorkhanQM

I will be sticking around for any questions or comments.

Goodnight, pal. I do have that Remaster and it's not very good save for the 64 bit engine.
