The platforms are arranged in a circle, and are all smoothly polished grey stone, so it doesnt looks as if it is a puzzle fight.

Indeed, after a few moments, a large four winged monster bird comes out and screeches at our party.

It flies up, well beyond melee reach, then starts charging up a spell/skill of some type.

Well, we can certainly do ranged attacks. Let's start with some spells... sadly just because it is a flying monster, it doesn't means it will be super weak to ground (or resistant, thankfully).

Thus, let's try with electricity, because lightning flies a lot faster than rocks or water.

And so, as Tanis smacks it on the back with her hands and feet, we shock it while our succubus debuff it, yet it finishes its skill and several tornadoes begin moving towards us, dealing vry real, non-magical, very physical damage through sheer strenght of their winds.

Honestly, I think we should have been thrown off or buffeted or lifted up into the air, but magic works under its own rules, so it counted as an attack instead.

Well, it is AoE, but only with a rather small area of effect, so let's spread the group.

Ah, both honey faeries took some damage. We mostly just took it, but they don't have as much hp as we have, or as robust a set of defenses, so it took a pretty big toll on them.

Well, there was no doubt we would beat the boss. It was more of a teambuilding exercise, after all.

Honestly, I'm a bit worried about Fleur, since she didnt get to do much this time. It looks like all she can do is summon plant monsters with melee attacks, which doesn't do much against flying foes.

In the end, we get quite a haul of rockit ore as drops... honestly, I never heard about this being a drop before. Does it means that the 'system' somehow has included new materials into its drop tables.

Well, the rest of the lab crew seems to have found it extremely interesting, and even more so when we mentioned how rubber can isolate electricity. So much so that they all want us to provide them with rubber to use on their many projects now.

Is this her helping after noticing everyone's problems with electricity? ...probably not? ...maybe?

Anyway, let's do some lab work in Eopolis, and then check our businesses there.

Yup, it's a good idea to do those one after the other, since they're in the same place. Actually, let's do the business first, then head to the lab.

I guess that, when everything around you is so fancy and traditional, something as casual and easy going as sitting down to eat sandwiches on the grass is seen as truly relaxing, right?

Anyway, she brings out some loafs of bread and helps us prepare sandwiches... those look really tasty, you know? And in case you are wondering, of course we 'came up' with mayo.

Since [Egg] is a common drop item from the level 1 foodgeon monster [Chicken]. [egg] is a staple food.

Just that, people usually don't cook them.

Weird? Well, they're magically(?) spawned eggs, completely full of disease of any kind, so I guess there just wasn't a need for it.

Of course, there are some recipes that include boiling and frying them, but those are in the minority.

Should I say people is quite healthy because they have a 'protein shake' in the mornings? After all, raw eggs are...

Anyway, mayo became really popular in Albion after we shared some sandwiches with our friends, you know?

Mako is helping Zoe make the sandwiches, while gently humming to herself, her beautiful body swaying in a rather seductive manner to a side or the other as she does so.

Dangerous. Even though she has absolutely no secondary intentions, she's just too charming, you see? She's grown up really well, you understand?

That school uniform skirt is dangerous, in many ways.

Ah, yeah, Zoe is wearing the same clothes. She sure is cute. In a little sister's way.

"there!" -declares the princess as she holds the basket above her head with both hands, beaming proudly- "Pic nic basket."
"Yes, yes. Good work."

We give her a small but love-love kiss while she holds the basket.

"I helped."
"Yes, yes, good work."

We smooch Zoe on the forehead

After adding some drinks, we store the basket in our [Item Box]

By the way, I think I've mentioned this before, but you can't store magical containers inside the [Item Box]

We say goodbye to Zoe and inform Ellie that we will be coming back late, then [Treestride] to the garden in the keep.

The local honey faeries are flying around everywhere, and the garden is truly full of flowers and little faeries.

...some of them are wearing tiny versions of the keep's uniforms.

Well, it's their house too, so I don't see a problem with them aiding in its defense.

"Where are we going" -asks the pretty princess to our right.
"I thought I told you... we're going to visit the local factory and orphanage that mister Perceywell started."
"Alright."

That's all? just 'alright'? You accept it way too easily, I think. Maybe a 'why?' would have been in order? Don't trust us so much, we may eat you, you know!?

Anyway, let's go across the bridge into the city and hire a stagecoach.

Our figures are but tiny dots when looked at from the keep's upper floors. We make our way over the long and powerful bridge linking the keep's plateau to the city, walking past thick stone towers that sink under the bridge and dissapear into the mist belloiw.

Actually, its an arc-type bridge, you know? Those pillars are reaching down into the arc itself, its just that the scale its so big you can't see it from the bridge itself.

By the way, there are three different entrances into the keep, one behind the other, none of which line up with the next, and none of which are lined up with the bridge, so going in is actually quite a chore.

Well, the city administration had wooden ramps and stairwells built, but uncle Wolfric took them apart when the family came back to own the keep.

I'm not a siege engineer, anyway, so I won't say anything about it.

"Oh!"

The wind picks up, blowing myst against us, humid and slightly cold. It picks up Mako's silky, smooth black hair and causes it to float for a few moments while she clings to our hand with her eyes closed.

She looks quite beautiful like this, faery-like.

Uh... yup, it's her fault that we are kissing her now. It's her fault because she's so beautiful. It's her fault because she's there.

"Eldric..." -she happily lets us kiss her.

Ah, this is bad, if we don't hurry up and control ourselves, itll take forever to cross the bridge because we'll kiss her every few steps... be strong, me!
