As you drop out of the Kaio-Ken, you find yourself letting out a pained groan. Multiplying your power four times over took a lot out of you, especially after the beating Recoome gave you. You may have emerged victorious against the massive warrior, but you're in no condition to fight anybody else.

Yamcha's still standing after his battle with Guldo, but you can't be sure how much energy he expended during the fight. That leaves only Piccolo and Kori at full strength, each of them supposed to fight one of the remaining members of the Ginyu Force.

Burter and Jeice stare at the remains of Recoome with looks of utter disbelief. They do their best to hide their shock, but you can see their bodies trembling, just a bit.

"What the hell is going on?!" you hear Burter hiss to his comrade. "Can all of these rats hide their power levels?"

"Looks like it," Jeice answers, his voice just a bit more even as he studies his scouter. "Looks like the comedian's power's taken a nosedive, though. We shouldn't have to worry about him interfering with our fights."

"Right...." Burter says, nervousness in his tone. "So, you're fighting next, right?"

"N-nah mate," Jeice tells him, stuttering just a bit. "All you."

"B-but, you're second in command," Burter points out. "You should really have the honor."

As the two continue debating on who should fight next, Yamcha and Piccolo rush to your side, Kori running right behind them.

"Tofoo," Yamcha says your name nervously as he kneels beside you. "Are you alright, man?"

"Don't worry," Piccolo tells you. "I've got more than a few tricks up my sleeve."

He glances over his shoulder at Kori, who seems to be mentally readying herself for battle as best a five year old can.

"You stand back, kid," Piccolo instructs her. "You'll just get in the way."

Kori looks up at him, surprised and upset. "But I want to fight!"

Piccolo chuckles. "Yeah? Well spar with your dad when he gets here. For now, let the adults play. Yamcha; stay here and be ready in case they go after Tofoo."

Yamcha stares at him dumbfounded. "You can't seriously plan to fight them both by yourself!"

Piccolo smirks at him. "Of course I can."

With that, he steps forward toward the two remaining members of the Ginyu Force, both of whom continue to bicker with one another.

"Listen up!" Piccolo shouts to them. "I'm your opponent now! Both of you can fight me together if you want, it doesn't make a difference to me."

The two aliens stop bickering and look at him in surprise.

"You're serious?" Jeice asks.

"Deadly," Piccolo tells him. "Now, are you ready?"

"This guy's serious, Burter," Jeice says in disbelief.

"Yeah..." Burter says. "Think he's hiding more power than the last one was?"

"I don't know," Jeice answers.

"Here, let me give you an answer!" Piccolo shouts, locking his arms at his side.

You feel the wind begin to pick up, and brace yourself for the explosion of power that you know is coming.

"KAIO-KEN TIMES FIVE!" Piccolo roars, a red aura surrounding his body as his power skyrockets, climbing higher and higher by the second. Burter and Jeice look on in alarm, their scouters keeping them updated on Piccolo's increasing power.

A final beep has them each taking a nervous step backward.

"F-fifty-five thousand!" Jeice stammers.

"D-dammit...." Burter growls.

Piccolo chuckles and rushes forward, catching Burter in the gut with a mighty punch that sends the massive alien doubling over in pain.

"You bastard!" Jeice shouts, rushing forward and attacking Piccolo.

This red alien is noticeably more powerful than Recoome, and his sudden attacks force Piccolo back a few steps before the Namekian regains the upper hand.

Piccolo's foot slams into Jeice's jaw, throwing the alien back and allowing your ally to follow up with a punch that sends him sliding across the ground. He readies an energy attack, but Burter attacks from the side, landing a kick that knocks Piccolo off-balance, and causes his blast to miss his target.

Burter follows up with an energy blast that knocks Piccolo to the ground, but the Demon King rises back up almost at once, unharmed.

"This is nuts," Yamcha comments. "There's no way Piccolo can keep that up for long."

Yamcha sounds so sure, but you recall Piccolo telling you that his body is capable of regeneration. If that's true, then it can probably keep itself stable better than a human body when using the Kaio-Ken, meaning Piccolo could sustain something like this far longer than you could.

Burter retreats into the air, but Piccolo stretches his right arm after him, grabbing the blue creature by the ankle and giving a pull, slamming Burter into the ground.

"Are you sure?" the other fighter asks, not seeming to believe it.

It is a bit of a stretch, and you know it. Burter and Jeice are each more powerful than Recoome, and Piccolo's fighting them both. Still, if he can maintain the Kaio-Ken, then he has a chance. But, the longer he takes to win this battle, the more chance there is for something to go wrong.

"What the hell was that?" Jeice asks as he gets to his feet.

Piccolo smirks, looking over at him. "Don't worry, I didn't forget about you."

Jeice smirks back. "No, but you forgot about him."

Piccolo frowns, turning his head just in time to receive a blast to the face from Burter that throws him off his feet. His arm retracts as it releases its hold on the alien, who stands back up.

"Jeice, what do you say we give him a taste of the Purple Comet attack?" Burter suggests.

"Been a while since we dusted that one off," Jeice tells him. "Alright. You know what to do."

Piccolo rises back up, looking between Burter and Jeice as the two begin to gather energy. A red aura surrounds Jeice, and a blue one surrounds Burter, the two yelling loudly before launching themselves into the sky and meeting up in a swirling light that soon turns the color purple.

Piccolos tares up at it, crying out in surprise as a barrage of energy blasts erupts from the light, descending toward him at blinding speed. Piccolo rushes to avoid them, retreating across the landscape as they slowly begin to gain on him.

As Piccolo continues to run for his life, you consider throwing a Kienzan up at the purple light in the sky. You could disrupt whatever they're doing. But, you hesitate. The Kaio-Ken has already taken a major toll on your body, and you aren't sure what would happen if you tried to use an attack right about now. You keep your eyes glued on the action, sit back, and watch.

Piccolo's expression grows more desperate by the second as he continues to flee from the oncoming blasts, and you soon realize that he won't be able to outrun them.

"KAIOKEN TIMES-" he begins to shout before crying out i agony as the blasts finally catch up.

The ground shakes violently beneath you, and a colossal cloud of smoke rises from the spot where Piccolo's retreat was brought to a violent end. Dozens of blasts pepper the Namekian, whose screams gradually die down as his power plummets.

The purple light in the sky vanishes, giving way to Burter and Jeice, who float side by side and stare down at the crater that's been formed from their actions.

You can't see Piccolo from your current position, but you can feel that he's still alive.

"Stubborn, isn't he?" Burter asks, staring into the crater from the air.

"Well, let's see how stubborn he's feeling after this," Jeice says, raising a hand above his head and creating a round, red orb of light. "Crusher Ball!"

He hurls the ball down toward Piccolo, but before the attack can reach its target, another energy attack shoots out and crashes into it, causing it to detonate prematurely.

You look over to see an angry Kori with her arms extended in the direction of Burter and Jeice.

"Leave him alone!" she shouts, sounding surprisingly menacing for a five-year-old.

The two members of the Ginyu Force stare at her, wide-eyed.

"What is with these people?" Jeice asks. "The brat's power level's gone up to twenty-five thousand!"

Burter chuckles. "If that's all, then she should be no problem to deal with."

"Kori, get behind me," Yamcha instructs, stepping forward.

"No, I'm going to fight too!" Kori shouts.

Burter and Jeice land, staring at their two challengers with amused expressions. You expect a sudden, brutal attack, but instead, the two begins to strike poses like Recoome did.

"You're facing the Blue Hurricane of the Ginyu Force!" Burter shouts, windmilling his arms before striking a ridiculous pose. "Burter!"

"I'm your worst nightmare!" Jeice declares, shaking his head around and whipping his hair. "The Red Magma of the Ginyu Force, Jeice!"

The two warriors look absolutely mortified to hear you say that, and whirl on each other at that very second.

"I told you our poses were lame!" Burter shouts at Jeice.

"Liar! You thought yours was the greatest thing in the universe! You wouldn't shut up about how perfect it was for you!" Jeice shouts back. "Besides, my pose is fantastic!"

"Apparently not!" Burter shouts at him. "That little punk thinks Recoome's was better!"

"YEAH, WELL-" Jeice begins before seeming to regain his senses. "Wait, who cares what he thinks?"

Burter's expression relaxes as well. "Yeah, good point."

"Trying to get in our heads, are you?" Jeice asks, turning in your direction.

"No," you shout back. "But speaking of, your hair is great! What do you use in it?"

Jeice grins, looking flattered. "Glad somebody appreciates it. I use-"

"What are you doing?" Yamcha asks, turning to face you.

"Buying time," you answer. "Goku should be here soon. You two just need to hold out until he lands. That is, unless you're hiding more power, Yamcha."

"Sorry," your friend says. "I'm still getting power from what the Grand Elder did, but it's slow. I could try using the Kaio-Ken, but I doubt I'd get it right so quickly."

"Hey, wait a minute!" Jeice suddenly shouts. "Stop trying to distract us!"

"Enough talking!" Burter shouts. "Let's kill them, Jeice!"

"Alright, guys, I have an idea," Yamcha says, turning to face the Ginyus once again. "Both of you, cover your eyes."

Not knowing the entirety of what Yamcha's planning, but figuring that you know the beginning of it, you cover your eyes.

For a few seconds, there's no sound, but then you hear Yamcha's voice. It's calm, but there's something about it that makes you feel nervous.

"Tofoo," he says. "I need for you to do me a favor."

Without thinking, you uncover your eyes, and look at Yamcha.

He stares back at you with a smile on his face, and an expression in his eyes of one who's about to face his own death, and who has accepted that.

"If this works, it should slow them down a bit," Yamcha tells you. "But if it doesn't, and if I don't make it, tell Lazuli I'm sorry, alright?"

Looking down at Kori, Yamcha chuckles. "You're Goku's daughter alright."

You find yourself being grabbed by the wrist and lifted off the ground. Yamcha lets out a surprised yell as the same thing happens to him. Below you, where the two of you stood an instant earlier, the ground is consumed with light as a blast of energy obliterates it.

Looking up, you see Kori holding you by the wrist.

"Thanks for the save," Yamch tells her, groaning.

Looking over, you see Burter and Jeice smirking up at the two of you.

"It's not too late for me to try-" Yamcha begins before you cut him off.

"No," you say, raising your right hand above your head and channeling energy.

There's a crackling light that briefly appears above your upturned palm, but before you can properly use your energy, unbearable agony shoots through your right arm, and you howl in pain, gripping your wrist with your left hand.

"Tofoo!" Yamcha shouts with fear as your entire body begins to shudder.

"What's wrong?" Kori asks in confusion, drawing closer to you.

"Kori, get back!" Yamcha warns, his eyes shifting between you and the girl. His eyes wander a little further, and he suddenly shouts with terror. "Get down!"

Kori dives, but you can't seem to direct your energy yo move properly. Luckily for you, Yamchagives you a strong push that sends you plummeting toward the ground just as a colossal, purple wave of energy shoots into the space occupied by the three of you moments ago now occupied only by Yamcha.

He doesn't even have time to scream, and if it's any consolation, he probably had little time to feel pain. An instant, and a flash of light. That's all there is. And then, it's over.

Yamcha is dead.
