This jewel was fishy, so it's probably best to nudge it a little just to make sure it doesn’t explode or something. You take out your sword and give the stone a quick poke and then a nudge. The stone harmlessly rolls over onto its side. “Nothing then,” You have Anna make you a small claw for you to pick it up with since you didn't want to directly touch it just in case. When you pick up the stone you notice there is something rough on its side, further, investigate finds that it is a note tied around the stone! On the front, it reads, “To the Leader.” You open it post-haste.

“Dear Leader, I know I said I would fix these problems here myself but I need help, Tharja is running rampant over Shiromitsu’s and Shirabu’s lands and refugees are pouring into Ryuga’s lands. Raiko and I are trying our best to fend them off but we are slowly whittling away. Shirabu and Shromitsu are missing and I can’t seem to find them.

The only thing I can imagine helping is either you aiding us here or maybe going to take out Tharja herself. Most of her forces are down at the southern end of the island so maybe you can fight in the north, I don’t know.

I only hope that this message reaches you, but I have to rely on that bird brain to deliver it to you.”

But how?” How could he possibly reach you like this? “Let me see that….” Anna grabs the note from you and after reading it over she says, “It’s a trap.” “How do you know?” “There is absolutely no way Adrian could contact us like this, how could he know where we were in this huge place. If Melo was the one delivering it then that explains why she has been trying to find us but this is far too convenient.” “Hmmm, Taka can you look it over for magic?” “Alright,” The kitsune grabs the note and stone and investigates thoroughly. “The stone doesn’t have any illusions about it and I can’t read anything particular about the note.

Thankfully your journey to Auriel was uneventful and you reach the ruins safely, you did hear a bit of skittering in the Felwood as you passed around it but you attributed that to the Arachne just living their lives. You hope. You walk to the familiar wall and down the familiar path where you meet the old time wizard dotting about in his studies. “First we add a little…. No what about…. No…. what if we reconfigured the trajectory to the moo- Ooh young ones what are you doing here?” The mage shovels about his work and turns to face you all quickly. “Hey Auriel, we just wanted to ask you to take a look at this stone for us.” “A stone is it….” The wizard stands to attention as Anna brings him the box containing the object in question.

Auriel opens the box and picks up the fine piece of jewelry, and the note for good measure. “Hmmm, “ He eyeballs the object before the runes appear around his hands as he surveys the stone. After a few minutes, he places the items back into the box and says to you all, “The object is a jewel at its base but it is blessed with mild homing based magic.” “So Melo didn’t deliver it… which means this was definitely a trap, but how did they send it to us?” “ This type of magic requires an item or sample if you will of the person it is trying to reach; it seems to have been designated to the young miss here,” He motions to your little kitsune sister. “Me?” “But who would have something of Taka’s?” you ask as Taka thinks to herself. “It would either be Tharja or Shiromitsu if anyone, but the only person that really gains if you went back would be Adrian or Tharja.”

the old wizard added, “I should mention that the note itself was also cloaked in a rather complex illusion, though the words on it were written normally.” “Odd.. then why the illusion?” “There is another message, ‘Do not believe this letter Leader, Tharja captured me and is trying to get you to come back but I have a plan, a terribly dangerous plan, but a plan nonetheless. I don’t expect you to help me since you no doubt have other things on your mind but if you want to help come to Ryuga’s tower, last I knew Shirabu and Shiromitsu were there.’ The young man seems to have run out of either space or time as the message cuts out.” Interesting, “But how did he make that illusion?” Taka answers, “He was captured right, maybe he was with some of Shiromitsu’s officers or something.” “Or…” Anna chimes in, It is a very elaborate trap that accounted for all of this.”

This was getting a little complicated, but you still needed to find out what to do.

Thinking about all this started to make your head hurt, so much so that you subconsciously drifted your mind to something else. You look around to room to see Aki and for some reason, you begin to remember that one time you got a potion that got turned Aki human and then. “Say Auriel, could you please give me some of that potion you used to turn Aki into a human?” Both the wizard and your friends looked at you a little funny. “Err… sorry,” you clutch your head, “What I mean to say is that please can I have that… damnit… that’s it!” You shake your head and announce to your friends, “We are heading to see Mother and then we will decide what to do.” “Umm, alright.” Your friends say as they begin to funnel out of the lab.

“Are you okay young one?” Auriel asks. You rub your head, “Yeah, just a little stressed is all.” “Then maybe this will help,” Auriel kneels down and places the potion you were eyeing into your hands.” “Oh, Auriel I was just over thinking things and-” The old mage winks at you as he gives you the potion and stands. “Good luck, young one, never forget that you may call me anytime you wish.” You looked at the potion in front of you, and pocketed it, “Thanks, Auriel!” you waved as you ran out the lab. You really are lucky that you ran into such nice people.

Once you were outside you began the trek back to the Castle that started it all. Aki briefly asks you, “What was all that about?” “Ohh..” you wave your hand and the question off, “Nothing just a little overload is all.”

This day was going pretty well it seems as you went another round on traveling through the plane without issue, though the sun was starting to set by the time you to to the lord vampire’s castle. You walked across the bridge and once you were at the gate you didn’t quite know what to do. “Do we just knock?” you asked yourself as your arm reached out to the touch the door when it opened by itself. Spooky.

A guard stands at the side of the entrance, “Madam Ravani has been expecting you all.” “T-Thanks” You are lead into the castle as a flood of memories rushed back into you. Your confused awakening, your daring escape, it all came back to you. Yuki grabs your hand from behind you. Apparently, she started to remember everything too. You are all lead to what you assume is an audience chamber where the vampire in question is sitting comfortably in her throne sipping on wine. “Darling? You should have told me you were coming to visit.” “You already knew we were.” “Hehe, “ she laughs, “I may have, but I still do not know why you came. Questions perhaps?”

Fine, let her stew in that. “By the way, have you met my sisters?” You rub Taka’s head and Kagehana appears over your shoulder, oddly she looks a little older for some reason, strange. “I know, but we haven’t officially met, “ Mother turns into a black smoke but then reappears in front of your two sisters. “Hello there…” She says warmly as her hands come to touch their heads. Taka instinctively jumps behind you but Kagehana doesn’t seem to care.” Such a darling shadow you have here, did you enjoy your gift from that man?” No who was the one toying, “Y-You know father?” You shadow asks the vampiress, “I know of him at least, he doesn’t like to talk much it seems.” Mother then scans your group, “I must say I am impressed darling, I did not think you would be able to amass such group as easily as you dead.” Mother flashes a smile to your team. Most of them awkwardly wave but Victoria, Yuki and Anna just look away.

Looking at them reminds you, “Mother, could you please stop kidnapping humans? Like pretty please, with some sugar on top and all that?” She laughs boisterously, “Darling if you prove to be as capable as you have been then I won’t need to kidnap them anymore, but you must understand I only do this to for the safety of your world.”

“Mother, would it be alright if we talk in private?” Yuki grabs onto your shoulder. “Why of course darling, my personal chambers are upstairs but you could always talk in here.” She taps her head playfully before walking away to the spiral staircase which you assume leads to her room. You place your hand on Yuki’s to assure her that you’ll be fine before talking to the rest of your friends, “Don’t worry, Mother knows she can’t do anything to you guys, just be on guard.” “You don’t have to tell me.” Victoria annoyingly said, cracking her knuckles. Hopefully, nothing bad happens.

You walk off to the staircase and look up the daunting climb. You remember that this castle had too many floors and hoped Mothers wouldn’t be too far up it. Mother cheerfully waves you up at the top of the staircase. “Damnit…” You climbed and climbed, and by the time you reached the top you needed to take a rest, but when you reached the top Mother guided you into a large room with a huge bed in it. It was an odd room intricately decorated with gothic attire but there was quite a bit of red velvet here too.

“So Darling, what is it that you wanted to talk about?” Mother stood opposite of you in the room. You begin to walk toward her without saying anything. She just stands there as you soon enough run into her and wrap your arms around her for a hug. She may not believe she is Malena but you at least know she is, “I am sorry…” you say as you could feel tears begin to form in your eyes, “I am sorry that I couldn’t save you… but if you had never become a vampire then you probably never have kidnapped and then would have never gone to the past and your dad probably would have killed you … I just...stupid time travel!” you cry as you bury your head into Mother. “Now now..” Mother holds you close in a surprisingly warm embrace for a vampire. “It’s okay, Mother is here..” She whispers as she begins to pet your head like you do your sisters. It was an odd feeling, you didn’t necessarily like or hate it. You look up to Mother's face and see a kind smile, “Malena…” you say to assert that she was indeed the girl you remember. “D-Don’t...” Mother’s voice trembled a bit.

“...Don’t call me that..” She looks away from you. “But that is your name.” “No, it isn't!” She suddenly pushes you away. “I am not some weak girl that needed a fake ghost for protection. I am Lord Ravani heir to Aleister Ravani leader of the Ravani Clan!” She grabs her head as if she has a headache. “But that doesn’t change you, you were Malena.” “No… things are different… I… I…”

It looks like Mother is having a bit of a breakdown. What is a person to say in this situation?

You need to find the right words, “It’s best not to forget who you were, Malena is as much a part of you as you are now. “I… I…” her hands shake as she reaches for the potion in your hands. Seeing the signals you help bring the potion to her mouth and have her drink it. Tears were starting to form in her eyes and after a few second Mother turns into that little girl from the village you remember. Her hair was short and disheveled and the rest of her body rough.

Malena looked at her hands, now familiarly covered in bruises. “Ahhh, Ahhhh…” She began huffing. She feels her now smaller face before looking at you. “Ahhh, Mr. Guardian Angel?!” “You didn’t quite know how to respond, the elegant woman who kidnapped you and your friends reverted to childhood literally before your eyes. You decided to go along with it, and nod to confirm your identity. Malena jumps into your arms and begins sobbing, “Waaaaaaahhhhh!” In between sobs she starts to incoherently talk, “Don’t let them take me! I’m sorry, I’m sorry… aahhhhh!” This time, it was your turn to ensure Malena that she was being cared for, and you pat her head as you give her a warm hug. You decided not to say anything and just be there for her as you likely could not break through the emotions she was outpouring. 500 years worth of bottled emotions were finally able to release in earnest that night. Malena did not let go of you for a second of it. It was such a moment of raw emotion that the dreaded vampiress fell asleep in your arms.

You laid her gently in her bed. Now that the moment is odd you thought to yourself. “Why am I feeling this..” She was the woman responsible for the murder of your parents, your friend's parents and the one who dragged you all into this bizarre adventure. So why do you feel for this woman? You place your hand over your heart. “I’m not crazy am I…” You look over at the defenseless and sleeping lord vampire. Her eyes were swollen and red from what happened but she was soundly asleep for who knows how long. But wait, doesn’t that mean you now have free reign of this room? And with her sleeping like that then could it be possible to.

You stand up and take a look around the room it was a rather nice looking room. Tidily kept with a bookcase and large dresser for clothing. You have half a mind to investigate it further but perhaps it was not the best idea to rummage through a vampire's underwear. Next to the dresser was a mirror, “But vampires don’t have…. whatever.” You continue your search till you find a cloth covering a corner. Looks like it was hastily thrown up to boot. I mean, you are sure it would be fine to take a peek.

You peel back the draped cloth to reveal the Mommy doll you sent her some time ago. It had its own little stand, pristinely cleaned and it even had some touch ups made to its clothing. Next to it though was another doll of what looked like a little girl smiling and holding onto Mommy’s hand. It was a rather sweet scene when you think about it. Malena was there the whole time, she just didn’t want anyone to know.

You look back to Malena and again to the dresser. “You know…” She did take the full potion Auriel gave you, which meant she was sure to stay like that for a while. Maybe you can help her out by coming up with a cute outfit for her to wear. You open the Vampires dresser. Looking upon the utopia of endless red and black colored cloth you took a deep breath. You never had Yuki’s refined sense of fashion but you were determined.

You rummaged through the dresser looking for any combination under the moon that might work. Malena was not maybe ⅓ the size she was when these clothes fit her so you’ll just have to make a few “adjustments.” After some time and near endless shuffling, you were able to come up with a cute frilly dress that reminded you a lot of the dresses that are on lolita dolls back home. All you had to work with were shades of red and black so there wasn’t much you could do in terms of color but you did all you could. Just as well, it might have been best for you to stick to something that she would enjoy regardless, because if Mother wakes up and not Malena and you had the wrong outfit things might get a little dicey and all your hard work would have gone to waste.

“Oh well, we’ll just hope she likes it.” You prepare your creation for the morning before you sit back down in the chair next to her bed. You started to feel tired yourself and the moon’s light almost enticed you to sleep. You lay your hands and head on the bed near Malena as you are sure she won’t mind sharing. Soon or later you were able to doze off.

You woke up the next day in the same position you fell asleep in. Once your eyes fully open you hear behind you, “Are you, awake Darling? Good, you have things to do and perhaps discuss.” You turn your head to meet the face behind that voice and found Malena standing here in your prepared dress. You thought it was a magnificent success on your part as you lost yourself in just how adorable the lord vampire became as her child self. “Is there something wrong Darling?” She asked but then she soon found the main object of your state. “Ah yes, I must thank you for these clothes to fit my current predicament, I could have had my guards work something for me but this now has a personal sentiment that Mother’s always enjoy.” She felt the fabric and even did a little twirl in place to show off the dress.

“Thanks, Malena. I am glad you enjoy it.” The vampire looks embarrassed, “Well, thanks again… also could you please call me Mother like you always have, I’m not quite used to the name…” She looks a little down. “I could, but….” Truthfully it was just as awkward for you. She was technically shorter and younger than you. “Could I perhaps cal you Malena, while you are like this for now, just between the two of us, though.” Mother grabs her chin in thought, “Hmmm, I will allow it.” “Thanks.” “While we are on the subject Darling don’t…” She pauses and her face turns red with embarrassment, “...don’t tell anyone else about last night.” You smile and nod to her request.

“Wonderful!" She perks up, “I hate to rush you Darling but is there anything you wished to discuss or perhaps do before you leave. Based on what I saw your dimwitted friend seems to be in a predicament and that temple to the north were on your mind."

She looks up to meet a stern but persuasive look of “Go ahead and have fun.” she turns her gaze back to the two, “A-Alright…” “Sweet!” a voice said that came from behind the little vampire, as your shadow appeared on her back. “Since you’re new, your it first!” “W-What but this is my cast-” *NUDGE* “A-A-Alright that’s fair.” The children run away in a manner of giggles from “Alena” as if she began to run after them, “W-Wait!” she shouted began to run after them. You gathered everyone up to do some training while the children were at play. Realistically Taka should be here too but you’ll just train with her personally later.

Everyone began to practice in their own way, you were focusing on your pphysical abilities along with a bit of water magic. You felt like you were making progressin in a technique that combined the two. A punch followed by a fast pit of water for added effect. Usually, you pracice with water magic to calm yourself so this technique was a rather serene form of fighting.

The rest of your party practiced their own abilities. Rozalin, Aki, Taka and the Nessera practiced magical abilities. Yuki, Victoria, Anna practiced physical. After a few hours of init your friends felt rather refreshed. They haven’t run into too much trouble sicne those salamanders and even then it wasn’t much of a challenge. Victoria looked already like she was aching for a real fight, but she’ll have to set that aside for now.

I learned that vampires can change their age if they wish so she has the potential.” And now that you think about it, it started happening around the time when you fought the Scorpion Queen right after you left the Castle for the first time. You briefly looked to the vampire in question next to you but her face and expression are unfazed. Whatever, she sure as well isn’t going to announce it now.

“Are you going to be alright?” Yuki’s question pulled you back to attention. “Yeah, Auriel fixed it up and nothing has happened yet so, for now, we are okay. Besides that does anyone have any questions?” Your friends all seemed content with the info. “Alright then, let's go get those kids, Alena, can you lead us to them.” “S-Sure.” The hidden vampire lets go of your hand and hesitantly begins leading you all back to the cells you ill-fondly remember.

Thankfully this time the castle staff was far less hostile to you and you arrived there quickly. The children looked generally scared but when they notice the humans they grew a little more at ease. “Are we free?” one of them asks. The answer was that half of them were but you didn’t necessarily want to say that to them. Instead, you smiled and said, “If not now, you soon will be.” Your friends began undoing the cells and the children began to pour out. Alena, while you were walking waved her hand over the cells and some of the smaller children and about half of the older ones, fell asleep, indicating the ones that get to stay. The remaining ones that were awake were scared but with the help of Yuki’s presence, they soon came along. They clung to you all as you walked through the castle to the exit. You explained to them on the way that they were going to be babysat but nice harpies. Some of them continued to look scared while others ignored you, as after their time here, they probably just wanted to leave.

When you get to the main entrance Alena stops following you. “I have hoped you had a decent stay in my mistress's home, she would like to express her hopes for your return.” “T-Thanks, hopefully, we will…” you tried to answer as you all began walking outside. Alena waved at you all as you left and the younger members of your party generally waved back.

You, on the other hand, looked forward, you had about 20 or so kids that you had to transport and focused solely on that.

The shuttling process was a little rough you had to section your group off to encircle them in case anything happened and most of them just clumped together out of fright and had to receive a small nudge forward every now and then. The real trouble came as you started getting closer to the harpy village.

“HEY YOU GUYS?!” came a familiar voice of a harpy speeding toward you. You sigh, you knew this was coming but you didn’t prepare yourself for it like you should have. But who knows, maybe Melo has figured it out by now and won’t be too much a bother. “Him Mel-” You tried to say hello but were cut off by the harpy speeding past you and your group. “?” You turned around to see the harpy looking confused and around. “You were just here a minute ago,” she says. “Are you guys hiding from me!” she panicked as she apparently had no idea where you all were. *sigh* Guess it was a bit too much to hope for. “Melo behind you!” you yell. “Ohh hey, guys, where did you come from?” “We were on our way to the village actually, we wanted to ask you all to look after these kids.” “Oh, that should be easy, but where are they? And don’t they usually come with jars or something?” You have to be kidding… You yelled to the birdbrain, “KIDS MELO, NOT LIDS! You rise to return to the group of kids, and it looked like Yuki, Aki, and Anna were already working to calm them down, “There, there it is going to be alright, these nice people will keep you safe here.” It was slowly working and your group began to try and acquaint the kids with the village. They weren’t the best tour guides but they could at least try while Melo took care of what she needed to. You feel a tug on your clothes, It was Taka who asked, “Onee-chan I know you said you wanted to stay here but aren’t we going to help Adrian and Wa. I…” she looks down, “I want to make sure he and Shirabu are okay.”

The child nods and enters their new home where it seems the guards will helping everyone get acquainted.

Since you were the hero who helped the village so much she let you have the room for free. You drag Yuki to your room and lock the door behind you. “W-What has gotten into you. You then go to a different inn and get a room. Surprised that Aki is leting you do this. Then you have an idea and ask for... ropes. Thankfully is that clase of inn, so they don't give you odd locks.

"Now I am going to tie you, and if you resist, I will get angry."

You tie her to the bed, then start to massage her body, teasing her. You get naked and force her to use her tongue, first to lick your chest, then... down there. You then remove the blindfold and the mask and stare at Aki, she tries to jump you but the ropes must be magical or very strong because she can't.

Being forceful worked with Yuki and although Aki is far stronger than you maybe ou can get her into a play that allows you to be in charge. If she knows who is in charge then she wouldn’t hate you right? Before doing that though maybe it was smart to take a shower. You make use of the inn's facilities and afterward begin to prepare for your date with Aki to make it up to her.

You walk through town looking for a clothing vendor. There were plenty around but you were trying to find a set of clothes a little more “daring.” Eventually, you found a clothing merchant with shredded clothing with some about of lace in odd places. The blouse was quite revealing and overall daring would be an appropriate word to describe them. You purchased the clothes, thanked the merchant and changed into them as fast as you could and began your hunt for the next item you needed, rope. Strong rope in fact, maybe even magical rope if they had it.

You managed to find a merchant who claimed to have the most well-braided ropes this side of the continent. Nothing magical like you were hoping but that man at the stand claimed it could keep a raging minotaur bound which if true was impressive. You took the man up on the deal and got a well-made blindfold for good measure.

Once you found your “equipment” you searched for your snake. She was milling about near the children's new homes, probably checking to see if they were okay when you came up behind her. You pull your blindfold and quickly cover the basilisk's eyes. She was wearing her mask so it wasn’t exactly needed, but it was symbolic. “Who? Is that you?” she asked beginning to turn around. Before she did though you pulled yourself up to her ear and whispered, “"You love to be on top don't you? As long as you see someone you like you want to be the boss. But not today." You enter into a struggle with the raging basilisk which resulted in the two of you tossing about. Aki only had one arm but her strength was insane. You were not a pushover and fought back but it looked like Aki would win this war of attrition. During the struggle-snuggle, you tried to spank Aki some more and force her down. Tugging on the ropes to keep her in check. You succeeded in arousing her but it seems like you were less in a power position and more on equal footing at this point as Aki managed to get another hand free. You waited until Aki woke up, which took awhile with her signature ability to sleep in. When she awoke she seemed groggy. “Mmmm, what happened last night.” She doesn’t remember? “Hmm, well uh… You were a naughty girl and I punished you, hopefully now you will understand that you and I are each other, but on some nights mainly mine. They generally seemed blase about it since they have spent some time waiting already. What was another hour?

I guess now after all is said and done you can talk to Melo about what she what the Queen was telling you about. It was surprisingly hard to find her, you figured anyone that could cause the amount of grief like her you could just follow the groans to the source, but as it happened she was in the Queen’s chambers. “Hero, welcome did you wish to discuss items? I am told that the children are well situated if you were wondering. “Thank you, Queen Kanon again for what you are allowing, though I came here today to actually talk to Melo.” “Me?” the harpy said in surprise, “Yes you, her Majesty told me you hand something to talk to me about.” Melo seems confused, “I did?” “Indeed…” You did your best to hold in your frustration and waited for Melo to realize what she was supposed to tell you. “Ohhhhh yeaaaaaaa” The harpy uttered and motions like she brought her fist horizontally down in her open palm in front of her. “What I wanted to tell you was that there seems to be a presence in the archipelago to the west past the river. The goblins in the mountains told us of an island population recently expanding into the mountains across the Mikawa River. The islanders aren’t hostile as of yet but they are becoming rather expansive and they want your diplomatic skills to talk with them.” “Interesting… anything else you can tell me?” “They uhh were an odd fist type people, like underwater snakes that could also mount on land. Alos they thought the goblins say a young human girl with them or something like that.” You whispered to yourself, “Another one…” If she was young enough then maybe she is one of Mother’s kids that she let go. This could be concerning but you already decided already to head to Wa and thinking about Taka’s sad face you shouldn’t waste any more time. “I promise Melo, that after we finish what we need to that we will return and take care of this. Now after you spent some time with your girlfriends you felt that you two had become a little closer, in many different ways. Now you could focus mainly on the task at hand, solve the mess at Wa.

The Travel to the opposite coast line was long but thankfully not dull. You managed to evade anything that may have been looking for you. You passed over the Eversong forest with ease but you noticed a familiar moth woman along the way. It was the flower girl from sometime back familiarly picking flowers in the same area. She notices you all and waves you over. “Hello again,” she said, “I just wanted to tell you all thank you so much for letting me keep those flowers to see back home. I have enough money now to last me for quite some time. Though it seems I like my job a bit too much hehe.” “That’s wonderful!” “I didn’t know how to express my thanks when I saw you again so I searched and searched and I managed to find another Twilight Tulip that I want to give you all. Here, I made it into a corsage for you. “Ohh really, well you didn’t need to go through all that trouble for me, this accessory could surely make you more money. True, but I have more than enough for a humble girl, please allow me to thank you. But for now you were busy and when you got to the ocean you put together a boat for another time but this time you sailed for the southern end of the island. Taka looked anxious as you boarded the makeshift boat, as did most of your friends who no doubt was thinking of Adrian. Hopefully, he wasn’t in too much trouble but we won’t know until we get there.

Your sail over to the southern Island as fast as you all could and with the Imps on lookout just incase someone tried to spot you who you didn’t want to, but it was perfectly clear it seems! “Lucky us I guess.” you found a small patch of land where no one seemed to be waiting for you. Either you were incredibly stealthy, people were too busy with the war to notice, or things are much worse than you expected. You like to think it was one of the first two.

“Anyone around?” You asked the imps to fly around to do a quick glance over. Nessera came back shortly and said, “There is the village right before Ryuga’s palace close by and there seems to be a huge population of people there. It doesn’t look like a battle, so I assume refugees.” “Hmmm.”

You made your way to the village but you decided to keep it stealthy if you could, the fewer people that knew you were on the island the less likely Tharja or Kakuri would know. Once you were in sight of the village you ask Nessera, “Would you go to Ryuga and tell her about our coming and expressed interest in discussing the war. I am sure she will be much warmer in welcoming us after that.” Nessera nods and heads off. You edged closer and closer to town in the meantime and you finally began to make out humanoid shapes. There seems to be a lot of kitsune here in this village. “But I thought Ryuga hated kitsune…” Anna answered you astonishment, “Must mean the war was going bad enough that she let them in, though it doesn’t look like the locals are happy. The groups of dragon and kitsune were distinctly segregated from each other and both looked to be at ends, as you got closer you were able to make out, “...It’s not like we want to be here, Kakuri drove us out!” “That makes two of us! Just stay over there outside the village until Ryuga wins the war!” the dragonkin yelled. If the kitsune are here though does that mean Shiromitsu is here?

No matter the ruckus in the village was enough for you all to slip by it. You noticed that although there were kitsune refugees there were absolutely no demon refugees. You didn’t expect Shirabu to retreat but you just hope she hasn’t gotten herself into trouble. The only person who might though however is the dragon lord. Nessera returns to your party. And when she does a streak of lightning shoots out of the palace. You’re not sure if that was a good or bad sign at this point. After letting the thunder pass Nessera informs you, “Ryuga told me to have you come right away, all of us.” “Good.” You follow the imps words and book up to Ryuga’s palace, the guards were expecting you and let you pass harmlessly. You held onto Taka’s hand as you ran, there may have been other kitsune here now but you wanted to make sure she felt safe. That sprint up the stairs was a doozy and your entire group was fatigued by the time you all reached the top. Maybe Ryuga should invest in an elevator or something in case of emergencies like this.

Sitting on her throne across the room was the lord dragon herself, “Lady Ryuga....” you take a breath, “We came as fast as we could, tell us what is going on.” A male voice answered you, “A mess is what is happening.” You smelt a distinct smell of smoke coming from the direction of the voice and when you turn you find the kitsune lord himself, “Shiromitsu! You are here too?!” This time it was Ryuga who answered your question, “Indeed, for now, we have decided to form a truce against Kakuri and his henchman, and no matter how dis-pleasurable the circumstance I thought it best to form a makeshift alliance in times of desperation. After all, I had to watch over all of Wa as its future leader.” “Ha.” The kitsune lord scoffs at Ryuga’s claims but other than that he smokes on his pipe silently.

“Lady Ryuga! We need to know what is going on, where are Shirabu and Adrian!” The stoic dragon lord took your panic in stride, “I understand that you want to know about your friends but we should really discuss the tasks at hand-.” Ryuga tried to explain but you weren’t having it. “No, tell us first where they are! I promise to listen after you tell me where they are.” Ryuga sighs, “Fine but you may not like the answers, Raiko’s lover, the young boy was captured by Tharja sometime ago, and currently no one knows where Shirabu is. She and her demon army went crazy and have been battling Kakuri in their province ever since.” Damn, it was as bad as you thought it could be…

Now knowing what you needed you calmed yourself down to continue the discussion. “What else has happened?” Shiromitsu answers, “Besides the take over of my realm and the ever increasing attacks on Ryuga’s border, and our people at ends, the list goes on.” “Quiet!” the dragon lord silences the interjecting kitsune. “Unfortunately…” Ryuga starts, “It is as bad as he says the pressure on our territory is increasing from Shiromitsu’s former land. We only have a few cards to play against Kakuri but Raiko is so focused on her mate that she is disregarding military objectives so I have grounded her until she listens. Though she doesn’t seem to appreciate it.” You feel another streak of lightning shoots out of the palace. With you and your groups help though I think we might have a chance. But you must help us
