"We have a problem."

Zyr'rha's says.

"I feel them too. Are they Jedi?"

You ask, keeping a weary eye on your surroundings as you speak. Taral circles the room slowly, his maw covered in thick gore as he lets out a low growl.

"Probably, and if we can sense them, they can sense us. I suggest you get ready. Not every fresh apprentice is so lucky to face Jedi on their first mission."

She comments, with a small giggle.. You hear the sound of a saber come to life on the other side of the com.

"Everything alright?"

You ask.

"Just finishing off some stragglers. I haven't seen the Mando yet either, so try to keep an eye on your surroundings."

She comments.

"I'd hate it is someone else killed you before I got my shot.Toddles~"

She says.

You hardly thought it was possible for someone to make a threat sound so sensual.

The two presences are approaching steadily, and the more you sense them the more you can parse. One is drastically stronger then the other, likely the Master of the two, his presence reminds you of Lord Tavon in terms of power. The other is more reminiscent of yourself or Nivah, likely the 'padwan'. It seems as though they are staying together for the moment.

>What do you do?

>Stay here and prepare. You have more grenades to prime and you've already redecorated. Might as well show whoever comes just what it is they're dealing with.

>Try to play a game of cat and mouse, if you can separate the padwan you can likely take him out individually while Zyr'rha struggles with the Master.

>Ignore them until it's unavoidable. Your mission is not to kill Jedi, it is to collect the package and then escape. You will fight if you must but you cannot afford to fail this mission.

>Collect Haust and plan an ambush for them both. You need to buy Zyr'rha time.

If one of them compares to a sith lord we shouldnt go anywhere near them until its absolutely nessesary/preferably not at all.

>Try to play a game of cat and mouse, if you can separate the padwan you can likely take him out individually while Zyr'rha struggles with the Master.

Our master would be proud if we kill a jedi in our first misdion and maybe find the target while Zyr'rha is busy with the .
>>
>>704352
And how do you intend to play a game of cat and mouse with people who instinctively know where you are?

Not saying that its a bad idea, its just not suited to jedi. At all. Same with the ambush option really, those are also predicated on the enemy 'not' knowing where you are.
>>
>>704321
>Ignore them until it's unavoidable. Your mission is not to kill Jedi, it is to collect the package and then escape. You will fight if you must but you cannot afford to fail this mission.
But get to a defensible position, not this wide open entryway i think we are in.
Also
Call Haust and apprise him of the situation. Communication is key to good teamwork. Maybe he has an idea about the jedi or mando
>>
>>704363
Planting explosives sounds like the best idea, from all the books and comics they jedi cant sense explosives by themselves but the threat of them jest before they go off. More than likely they aren't sensing the explosive itself but the intent to set them off. that or minor precognition that lets them deflect beams of light

I disagree, best case scenario we get what we need and get out before it turns to that.

We have a mission, to our master thats all that matters. That said, I agree with
>>704393
We should still have a thermal or two, they will be handy for sure... But lets not set them until we are sure where they will be (Ie when its to close to get away/we dont have the package).

Completing the mission is more important then confronting the Jedi, so right now you need to focus on getting the job done. You keep a few of the thermals where they'll be easy to grab to be safe before reaching out to Haust on your com.

"Haust, report."

You say as you walk into the hall to your left, trying to make some distance between you and the Jedi while trying to find a more defensible location. Taral skulks behind you, keeping himself at the ready.

"I'm here boss. I've been able to clear out a path down the right hall while making my way toward one of the back entrances. Most of these scrubs are easy pickins."

He chuckles.

"We have a complication. We've got two force sensitives inbound, probably Jedi."

You respond.

"Awh shit, I knew this was going to easy. Well, what's the plan boss?"

What do you say?

>"Keep the Jedi busy so Zyr'rha and I can do our jobs, I'm going to see if I can help her collect the package since this just became a time sensitive mission."
>"Try to see if you can find the Jedi and trail them. I can sense them but it's not very precise. Don't attack, just feed me with info on what they're up to."
>"Regroup with me and Taral, there's still a Mando wandering around that we haven't seen and if things get ugly I want you here."
>"Keep clearing an escape route, just be careful and if you see anyone that doesn't look like a Hutt's thugs wait for them to pass then notify me."

You reply.

"On it boss. If you need any backup just holler. Haust, out."

He replies before the com goes silent.

You continue down the steel corridor, the smell of charred flesh still clinging to your nostrils. You pass by several open doors, all the rooms are empty with clear signs of a rushed exit only to die at your hands. Pity they didn't provide more of a challenge.

After a time you see a small sign ahead of you that signifies another elevator coming up after a right turn in the hall, now that you've confirmed that the floor is mostly cleared you feel more comfortable with the idea of ascending if necessary.

>Force Points: 3

Action precedes thought as you reach your hand out and grab a grenade that was thrown at you as you round a corner and lob is back with ease. You hear the beginnings of several cries of horror cut brutally short by another earth shaking explosion. You consider the charred remains of your assailants with indifference until you hear a voice come from farther down the hall.

"Damn, even I have to admit, that was pretty bad ass."

It says, filtered through the speaking unit of a helmet.

You see them step out, a well armored individual with a jet-pack strapped to their back and two blaster pistols holstered on their belt. You've heard stories of Mandolorians, several of the older men in the mines of your youth told you of the image of their helmets and how they brought fear into their prey.

"So, how's this gonna go down?"

The Mando asks with an air of smugness.

>What do you do?

>"This doesn't have to end in violence."
>"I'm a fan of the violent option myself."
>"We both know you're going to have to stop me. Why play coy?"

You ignore his question and a coy smile graces your lips.

"So, looking for a new job? Seeing how things are going around here you're gonna need one."

You comment.

"Cute."

The Mandolorian says, the smugness in his voice giving way to an hint of irritation.

"You know I've killed quite a few Sith in my time, so believe me when I say I'm not impressed with the act kid. I've bagged bigger fish then you in my sleep. So I'll lay it out for you nice and easy so you don't get confused. Either leave with your tail between your legs and go back to Master, or I'll rip that little camcorder out of your face nice and slow."

The individual replies.

You feel the pressure in the back of your head grow stronger, they've been getting steadily closer to you. You imagine it won't be long before they're upon you.

>What do you do?

>Run back the entrance then take the elevator up.
>Taunt the Mando, lead him to the Jedi, then make a break for the higher floors while they duke it out.
>Fuck the mission, attack the Mandolorian, you've been aching for a real fight since you touched down.

While I think we could tell him there's more lightsaber wielding assholes than us gunning for his boss he's probably been around the block enough to not be able to fool him that the others are sith. Not that he probably cares overmuch about the difference, especially as his job deals with all intruders, but the deception seems a little hollow.

>Rolled 74

"While you do have some stellar comebacks, I've already lost interest in this little battle of wits that we've initiated here. So if it's all the same to you I've got better things to be doing."

You say before dashing back in the direction you came from.

Just as the words leave your lips you see two small rockets come barreling toward you. You throw your body out of the way, avoiding the projectiles buy mere inches before they explode behind you. You ride the wave of energy and use it to propel yourself forward with Taral at our heels.

"Get back here you little shit!"

The bounty hunter roars in anger.

You bob and weave down the hall avoiding blaster fire, doing your best to focus on the two presences you feel at the back of your mind. They're so close you could swear that... Immediately you notice two figures standing in the charred wreckage of your massacre, one is knelt down by a body, the other appears to be standing a ways off, their body language suggesting they are disgusted or disturbed.

You have a few moments to determine a course of action.

>What do you do?

>Play the fool and try to appeal to them for help.
>Jump over the kneeling one, and continue down the right hall.
>Lob a thermal in front of you, then detonate it once you've passed so they all get caught in it.

The two figures blur in your vision too quickly for you to be able to successfully make out any identifying features in them. Once you are close enough you hurl yourself over the knelt figure, and as you do you feel the familiar sensation on the pressure of the Force rising up to meet you. It catches one of your legs yet you are able to roll with the momentum and land unsteadily on your feet and keep running. You get so far before you feel and iron-like Force pull grip at you and pull you back toward the entry room.

Yes, that is a good one. Hopefully a grenade or two will add to the confusion.

You press yourself against the powerful grip of the Force being used against you, and you feel the soles of your boots being dragged slowly against the ground beneath you, being brought closer inch by inch to your adversaries. With one final surge of power you manage to break through the invisible grip and surge forward into the hall.

"Get back here so I can kill you, you MOTHER-"

The bounty hunter screams at you, but is silenced as you hear the sound of a light-saber activating behind you and a slow stern voice speaking words that you can no longer make out as your rush down the hall. You turn the corner and realize that Taral is waiting there for you as he had not been the focus of the grip. You take a moment and breathe.

>What do you do?

>Find Haust, the two of you need to regroup. Now that you've thinned the herd the actual threats are in play, and you need his backup if you want to have a chance.

You need to find Haust, and fast. You begin to make a break for it, but already you hear a single set of foot steps behind you. You quickly com Zyr'rha while you run.

"Zyr'rha, I've found the Mando and the Jedi, they're on the first floor so hurry up and do your job."

You say between heavy breaths.

"I'm trying, I'm nearly done, the Hutt has turrets set up around his office. Once those are done that stupid slug's ass is mine. Keep them busy for a little longer."

She says before hanging up.

You let out an old Gungan swear you learned as a child and keep running. You see the trail of corpses that Haust has been leaving and com him.

"Haust, I'm heading toward you now but I'm being followed by someone, probably one of the Jedi. Where are you?""

You ask.

"Theres a big set of double doors coming up on your right that leads to a cafeteria, there's a loading bay back there that I've found and have been keeping tabs on, if you meet me there I've got your back."

Haust replies.

"Got it."

You reply.

"Wait!"

The voice behind you calls out.

You look for a fraction of a moment and you see that the figure chasing you has come to a halt. You slow yourself down to a pause, ready to move again at any moment and giving yourself plenty of room between yourself and your pursuer.

He is a young Mirilian man, no older then yourself. There is a softness to him as he pleads for you to stop. He is dressed is beige and tan robes and you see a lightsaber hilt on his belt.

"Please... I don't want to fight you, my Master and I just want to talk. You... you're Sith right?"

He asks, a look of fear in his eyes.

"Did you do that? Back there?"

He continues.

>What do you do?

>"Yes. To both."
>"Are you done simpering? I have work to do."
>"Yes, I killed them all. And I will do the same to you if you don't turn back around."
>"Look, you seem like a nice kid, and I don't want to hurt you. Stay out of our way."
>Attack him.

Besides the mando and his master are clearly distracted with one another. Either fighting, or talking. But they aren't interfering, yet.

Keep the scrub talking, if the master goes towards the upper level, or his presence vanishes we can attack his padawan to hopefully draw him away.

>Yes, I killed them all. And I will do the same to you if you don't turn back around."

"Yes. To both."

You say, a small half smile gracing your lips before you explode into motion once more. It seems the Jedi was not prepared for you to run off again immediately and takes a moment to hit his stride. You see the doors to your right that Haust mentioned and bank quickly into them. They fly open with a crash and you see several more bodies littered around the room. Likely the Lieutenant's handy work. You look around for a moment and you notice him, hidden away behind a nearby overturned table, motioning for you to keep silent. It appears he wants to use the element of surprise on your pursuer.

>What do you do?

>Hide with him, try to lose the Jedi.

You take a few steps forward into the center of the room and breathe a slow steadying breath before you turn to the entrance of the room the sound of heavy foot falls against the hard metal floor ring out in discordant harmony. Taral takes his place behind you, his jowels pulled back into a brutal snarl still caked in gore that has only now begun to dry, which he licks at.

The Jedi appears, slowing his run into a walk before coming to a stop. He looks at you again. Something in his eyes reminds you of Nivah, and it unsettles you for a fraction of an instant. You notice he has provided enough distance between the two of you to allow him time to react to any attempts upon him.

"Can I ask why?"

He asks, raising a hand and motioning toward all of the corpses.

>What do you say?

>"Are you afraid of me Jedi?"
>"I kill. It's what I do, and it's what I'm good at."

"To distract the Hutt."

You say simply. As if in affirmation you feel the after effects of a large explosion coming from several floors above you shake the building.

"Needless to say I succeeded."

You continue.

Your eyes meet for a moment and it seems as if the Jedi is trying to read you, his once soft features gaining a sense of hardness to them.

"Let me be frank."

You say with a small sigh.

"I have no desire to kill you, despite what you may have heard about the Sith. But I can't have you following me or interfering with my mission. If you turn around now, this can end without bloodshed."

>Rolled 66

The tension within the air is thick enough to where you can cut it with a knife. Slowly his lips part and he speaks.

"Fighting you won't do anything to stop whatever it is you're doing here, will it?"

He asks solemnly.

"No. Like I said, I'm the distraction. Even if you capture me, the deed is done by now. You were too late to do anything about what happened here."

You reply calmly.

The Mirialan's hands ball into small fists. He grabs his light-saber and for a moment you thing he is going to activate it, but his hand relaxes before pointing at you.

"What is your name... I want to remember it. For the next time we meet."

He says.

>What do you say?

>"Xanth."
>"Xanth Worldbreaker."
>"Lord Tavon."
>"I'm afraid I can't tell you that."
>"It's traditionally considered polite to introduce yourself first."

"It's traditionally considered polite to introduce yourself first."

You reply.

"Zavros."

He replies, his hand dropping back down to his side.

"Xanth."

You reply with a nod.

"You are... interesting Xanth. You killed all these people en masse, yet immediately after admitting to such violence... the first thing you offer me is peace."

He replies softly.

"But you're right... there's no point in us fighting here. Perhaps we can meet again properly one day. May the Force be with you."

He says with a small bow before turning around and making his way back out into the hall.

"I've got the package. Get out of there."

You hear Zyr'rha say in your ear.

>>716513
Is the one you must'a ment.

Because yea... I liked the idea of a crossover.
Problems are basically: copy'ing the most superficius parts of Brines quest, but having to one-up him for some reason.
(Nivah's father was a jedi? My guy fucks a sith! And without all that annoying characterization first. Is a good example)

Is the very best at everything, purely due to being so fantastically talanted etc.
Gets away with everything, not only without a slap on the wrist but gets chosen by a council member, despite being antithetical to the jedi everything.

Basically, its a power fantasy and a blatant one.
>>
>>716513
My only issue is you betrayed us for pedo-site.
>>
>>716559
>>716559
So are:

I actually took a second to think about it, but the truth is every quest ever is a power fantasy. If you wanted a compelling story about a normal guy going up against impossible odds and failing like logic says he should, grab a gun, fly to Syria, and take on ISIS all by your lonesome.

I don't read or play this shit because it adheres to how things should be. I do it because I find that being capable of more is compelling. Is that a power fantasy? Yes. Welcome to the fucking club. We have T-shirts. Get off your high fucking horse you shit-eating faggot.

Trying to find a new way to do Jedi things doesn't inherently make it shit: Light side force is all about maintaining a center, letting everything happen without letting it change you or your drive, moving towards the objective with inexhorable progress. Dark side is all about emotion, letting it change you, actively directing where the flow will go and then letting the torrent carry you where you want to be. Both are bullshit.
>>
>>716595
That's why I like Zev so much. He's a fucking terrible Jedi but still pretty obviously a light side oriented character that wants to have fun
>>
>>716595
Thank you for taking two words out of that and ignoring everything else. Ofcourse its a power fantasy, all quests are to one degree or another...

one of the issues is that its an incredibly blatant one. Nothing is earned, all is freely given.

And trying to find a new way to do Jedi isnt bad, the 'bad' part comes from the establishment, for lack of a better word, endorsing him when all we know about jedi point towards them being essentially bible thumpers.
>>
>>716595
Fine enjoy your power fantasy all you want, but keep it away from me and this quest with your forced crossovers; if all you want is bullshit and rainbows, keep it on your side of the fence.
>>
>>716634
They endorse a strict form of practicing Light Side, but can't actively oppose Zev without being hypocrites even though the way he does things goes against every tradition they have. That's what we all like.
>>
>>716643

The Padawan of a council member, and a rather young padawan at that.

And ofcourse they could oppose him. It would be very simple. "Thats nice, but Jedi dont have fuckbuddies." "Wonderful, now start to act like a jedi. Peacekeepers and diplomats dont go around like you do" etc etc.

Appearantly they had no issues with withholding training etc from another sensitive because she didnt line up with their doctrine.
>>
>>716660
So, before I explain just why Zev gets away with it, why do you care?
>>
>>716672
Disappointment, then you started defending such silliness.
Its a simple case of "Someone is wrong on the internet!"
>>
>>716674
Just general boredom and nothing better to do than aggravate someone?

...yeah, that's me too.

Why don't we just put aside our differences and laugh at how all the other Sith Apprentice quests are so unnecessarily edgy. I mean, sure, a Sith quest is gonna have some edge, but god damn.
>>
>>716672
Because of forced crossovers contaminating this quest, potentially forcing people to read Eail's quest.
>>
>>716681
So? I didn't bitch this much when Future Naruto quest turned into a shitty smut quest.
>>
>>716672

>>

>>
>>716677
Naah, please mate. For funsies.

Explain why the monastic quasi religius order of incredibly repressed and conservative space monk/wizards accept someone who "Goes against their every tradition" without a slap on the wrist, allows him to become a padawan etc etc.

I'm curius to what you will say.
>>
>>716697
>>716709
Meh, fine. I'm still bored.

Renari is the child of a sith lord, and her initial exposure to the force was Dark Side shit. Reformed or not, she still knows Dark Side force techniques and is even teaching them to what is quite possibly the most forcibly light-alligned padawan of this generation these same techniques. She's not in the same circumstances as us, skill aside. If anything, she's at the far lower end of being a 'Light-alligned force user' when compared to the rest of the apprentices hoping for Masters.
>>
>>716720
I might have used a few words in there that don't count. I'm not really into this anymore, sorry.
>>
>>716720
Makes sense. Now if you please
>>716709
answer the question about Zev.
>>
>>716720
how does Zev get away with fucking in public that very same reformed sith? Not just get away with, almost rewarded?
>>
>>716724
Zev poses an intresting question for the Jedi council: Do they follow the Light, or do they just follow their traditions?

The fact that Zev hasn't been thrown on his ass says they care more about following the Light side of the force than they do about Tradition. If anything, Zev is an experiment: Is there a way for the Jedi to continually adapt to the changes in the galaxy, to move forwards without regards to the old traditions, and not fall to the Dark Side?

He's a guinea pig. How far can he flaunt the traditions before he falls? What if he never falls? The council isn't stupid, and they just want to see if Zev can stay light alligned while doing his own thing. And if he can't? Then they know not to change, they'll document everything about him and use him as an example to others about why those traditions are there.

To be honest, if the dice didn't love him so much, they probably wouldn't bother. It's how obviously effective he is at using the force that has them reconsidering things.
>>
>>716742
Kudos for trying, but that makes absolutely no sense.

The assumption is that other denominations are acceptable. They are not. The Jedi order is the only accepted form of force users.

The Jedi ways are the ways of the light side. The light side is the best way to do things.
The Jedi ways are the best way to do things.

And that kind of experiment? How, what why?
What kind of peacekeeper would so cruelly toy with a mans destiny?

I might have accepted this reasoning if he was less blatant. If Zev was following orders but had, shall we say unseemly ambitions? (Wanting excitement and adventure)

I mean, the fucking 'chosen one' (Anakin) did all he could to hide the fact that he had a girlfriend... while this guy gets a pass with openly having a fuckbuddy.

But as is, hes taken a piss on the rulebook and nothings come of it.
>>
>>716776
>The Jedi ways are the ways of the light side. The light side is the best way to do things.
>The Jedi ways are the best way to do things.
Implies that there aren't other ways to be a light-alligned force user. Which is false. There is never only 'one' way to be good at something.

>What kind of peacekeeper would so cruelly toy with a mans destiny?
The kind who swear off emotional connection in favor of 'The Greater Good?' Who cares about one boy if it makes all other Jedi more effective?

>But as is, hes taken a piss on the rulebook and nothings come of it.
Because despite it he's shown no sign of falling to the dark. Those who are force sensitive can tell he's just as capable of becoming a warrior of the light as ever, and none of his behavior has made him any closer to falling to the Dark. He's doing Light-alligned things without actually following the Jedi code. This goes against the council's belief. Rather than angrily hold onto their traditions and shove Zev in the corner, close their eyes and cover their ears and go LALALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU, they're actually exploring if an alternate path to the Light exists by letting Zev have more leeway than they'd give anyone else.
>>
Why are you faggots arguing this shit so hard?
It doesn't matter, what they call canon is a joke with how often they flipflop since disney bought star wars. Let it go.
>>
>>716807
That one way thing applies to Zev in how he fights too. He's taking Makashi which is the same style Dooku used and is adding a blaster, fancy footwork, and lots of taunting and very loose movements

It's barely Makashi and that's why it's so good, it's entirely Zev
>>
>>716807
Your argument boils down to "Jedi masters are open minded about wether or not a random kid knows better then the entirety of the jedi order, past and present."

I asked you to make an argument, and thats fair. you did.

You're just flat wrong and/or making things up at this point.

When have the jedi order ever been shown to be this open minded and this humble?
Never.
>>
>>716867
Because closing themselves off to innovation has worked so well in the past, right?

The logical thing to do is see if Zev's way of doing things is viable by observing from a difference. And if it's not, their way of doing things probably wouldn't work for Zev anyways.

So yeah. That's the liberty being taken. They want to see if Zev can make it work.
>>
>>716878
They have nothing to lose basically yeah?
>>
>>716878
No, the logical thing to do, from their perspective, would be to indoctrinate him fully into the order so that he wont fall to the dark side.
Which is a natural reaction to not being Jedi, according to them.
>>
>>716878
>>716894
it's a power fantasy that spits in the face of what the jedi are all about, jedi philosophy is all self control before the pursuit of power.

>>
>>721117
Okay lets try this again.

So when I first thought up the whole crossover quest thing I was enthralled with the idea of having this continuity that spanned several quests with different MCs that could interact with each other in this non canon universe I created. Now this came with two major problems.

First off was the time needed to coordinate and plan something of that scale. Once upon a time I might have had that kind of time, but not anymore, especially for it to be done well.

Second in the sheer variety of QM styles. Y'all have read enough to where you know the narrative style I go for. You have silly QMs, grimdark ones, ones of all sort. I believe that it's healthy for quests as a medium for us to have that variety, but it doesn't make for a good cohesive narrative.

While the crossover idea is fun and in a perfect world would be amazing, in practicality it will be messy and obviously be the source of a lot of argument as we've seen. Cameos and in jokes between quests I'm game for, but the last thing I want is this to be one of those stories that caused a quest to crash and burn.

I apologize if this upsets anyone, I genuinely love you guys despite the fact that I just go dark sometimes, and I want to make this quest an enjoyable experience for everyone.

Rip the dream of a Zev and Xanth trolling contest
>>
If anyone is still here could you guys tell me what the deal with Bruce and the female broly is?
>>
>>721778
Eail ran a Saiyan Quest, the main character was Bruce, who was the child of a rival of King Vegeta and at the start of the quest was setting up for getting his first mission and squad and start conquering planets for the PTO.
Some universal differences were Vegeta and Broly were female, Broly and Vegeta were born significantly earlier then in canon and Hanasia existed and Bardock was already fairly famous as a dude who got shit done.
Broly and Bruce were childhood friends and at the start of the quest were already together and planning on being in the same squad, Broly has no hints of LSSJ as well. (Eail hinted it was being supressed somehow.)
It was meant to be different from the Earth Based DBZ quests, we'd have nothing to do with Earth and just fuck around in space working with the PTO and eventually up and past Frieza death balling the planet.

Early on in the quest, while fighting Hanasia and Bardock, Bruce revealed he had the greatest gift of all, supreme dice luck and rolled super amazing. Giving a showing far past his supposed limit and gaining the attention of Nappa and the Royal Guard and shit.

It was just a really fun quest that got killed for more Space Alcoholic shit.

Woah hold on, I'll fucking gut you if you talk shit about Arctus and his shenanigans.

Bruce was fun, but Space Alcoholic was Eail's best quest.

And it's dead just like all his other good quests and all the ones to come, the piece of shit needs to finish one, at least.

Space Alcoholic was more of the same. Woo you're on earth, woo you're banging bulma, woo you invalidate the Z Fighters.
On top of random ass power boosts just to make you awesome as fuck.

Also Hanasia was going to be second wife after she talked to Broly.

Arctus wasn't banging Bulma. Unless he did something stupid with it on Akun. And it was always about characterization. Moreover, it was Arctus' story. Of course he was going to be stronger than the canon characters. Moreover Eail at least tried to mock up reasons for why shit worked the way it did.

Especially compared to the quest which birthed Eail and his faggotry in response to bitchfits.

The thing I liked about Bruce was that it made sense for him to have multiple mates considering the warrior culture

I think Zev and Xanth would naturally at least not want to outright kill each other after meeting for the first time. Zev isn't entirely Light, and Xanth isn't entirely dark, I don't think they'd ever be real friends, but still having those two meet each other would be very interesting to experience

That and they were likeable characters as well.
