You are Subject 108—"Whirlpool", sent with advanced technologies to fetch water for an isolationist civilization (on Earth, mind you). However you ignored the objective in favor of having your own adventure and you stumbled into exactly that on Cymbio IV. Since your arrival you've done nothing but wade deeper into the plot that seems to uncover the conspiracies behind the luxurious establishment of Resorcinol and the history of the "tribespeople" nearby.

On the search for Grant and Petroleum, you face yet another grueling fight as a formidable individual, presumably Petroleum himself, bursts through the wall and confronts your group. He was defeated thanks to Gertude stalling him until you could come up with a plan. Although the action does prompt a female janitor to cause a bit of mayhem in panic. After integrating the wreck of one of his remote-controlled shells, Errai rejoins your group accompanied by Havelyn and a small handful of other individuals. Following Ammonia's somewhat-autonomous cleaner bot, you ended up encountering the same hazmat guy from yesterday. Hoping to avoid trouble, he agrees to your demand that you see what's down the large elevator he was keeping you away from. As your group descends, a pair of robots crash down and battle your group again.

The hazmat leads you to a spacious elevator where a few other hazmats stand with high-end equipment. They seem rather docile and one of them even jokes about the situation.

>"See? I told you it wouldn't work."

>"Yeah yeah whatever, I'll deal with that bet later. Look, whoever you are, Petroleum's not down there if you're looking for him."

And yet, you ask him, what is he hiding down there? Where does this lead to?

>"A lot of things actually, and since you're bent on going down, you're going to find out for yourself anyway. I just hope your "tribal" friends are going to be okay with it."

Hmph, there's more to this than you thought. The platform starts going down to the central depths of the establishment. You try to ponder your situation but your contemplation is interrupted with the sound of Sirius getting hurt.

You turn around and see that a robot has fallen on top of him. He's pinned down by a bladed weapon and out of the fight, but at least he's okay. The others have dodged out of the way in panic. In a fit of instinct, you pull Errai out of the way to avoid a second robot crashing on top of her.

The platform is at full speed, any disaster will result in everyone's deaths.

Caffeine: Play defense, move people out of the way of attacks whenever possible. You're not equipped for offense against big fucking robots.

Everyone who has ranged attacks, use them. Bullets, cold emissions, etc. and try to aim for opticals.

Ammonia lays down a puddle for whirlpool's use upon being ordered to, via the bucket of adequate capacity.

Whirlpool: see if you can lure one into the puddle so you can try to grab it, dump it somewhere unimportant and away from the area, and return. One threat is better than two.
If you can't manage it, then activate x-rays, look for a weak spot, and KRAKENS BEAK it!

----

Rigel cracks a joke at the lead hazmat.

>"Are those from your toys?"

>"No, I only saw those in old blueprints. It's not in my control, that's for-"

He narrowly avoids a mighty cleave from the sword-wielding robot thanks to Caffeine's intervention.

Havelyn brings out...a bell? He brandishes a bell and rings it loudly, causing a glimmer of light to appear above him. Well that's pretty, you suppose.

Ammonia starts spilling water from her bucket. Meanwhile the others are focus firing on either of the two robots. The melee-oriented one reacts more aggressively, closing in towards you—right towards the wide puddle for you to use DIMENSIONAL HOPPER on.

Having POOR SPATIAL DISTORTION serves to your advantage as, since the destination is irrelevant, the robot will likely be shoved in an inhospitable point anywhere in the known universe. At least that's what you hope, it's also likely that it'll end up in a retirement home or an elementary school or something.

The ranged-combat robot, realizing its major disadvantage, fires its weapons randomly in an attempt to destabilize and crash the elevator via collateral damage.

Rolling for side-characters to use their trump cardsand have them work.

>"Hey scrub! Over here!"

Havelyn uses his bell again, this time creating some kind of b]MAGICAL SHIELD around him. He tries to lure the gun robot's attention with his crossbow bolts but he only aggravates it into shooting more haphazardly. You loudly tell everyone that if we fail to stop it then everyone dies.

>"Shoot, I was hoping I didn't have to use this until I can get it repaired but I guess we have no choice."

Use what?

The vendor brandishes a device that projects an immobilizing tractor field and pins the robot in place.

>"Quick, do something! I don't know how much juice this thing has left."

As the machine struggles against its energy prison, Errai has a quick idea.

>"Caffeine! Use this! Quickly!"

She tosses her LASER-EDGED SWORD and right on cue, Caffeine shows up dramatically. You guess her pacifistic qualms don't apply to dumb robots. The moment the vendor releases the stasis field, the head waitress ruins the machine in a literal second.

>"Whew...I only got this far before the sword ran out of juice. I managed to destroy its head and disable its weapons though, but I'm not sure it's completely out."

While the others are eating and taking a break, you and a few others start assessing the damage. For the most part everyone seems fine, if a bit shaken up. The fireman sustained some scorches on his uniform. Betelgeuse singed her hair a bit and Sirius is bruised by the earlier blow. The receptionist sustained a direct hit while everyone was too distracted by the mayhem. However aside from major clothing damage she is in okay condition.

You wish Aramid was here, she could totally push the remaining robot by herself but alas she isn't here. Ammonia uses some liquid soap to lubricate the floor and help push you push the robot towards the nearby puddle. As the liquid comes starts drying up, you activate your DIMENSIONAL HOPPER and send it to wherever the universe takes it.

Due to time constraints, one part of the update will be posted in the next one. I've got an outing today and it's annoying. My apologies.

For the duration of this half of the update, you are Subject 336 "Geyser". You are currently in the frigid wastelands of Arcturus, accompanied by your love interest, Unit-501 "Gale". The two of you have just finished a perilous mission to rescue a strange woman who's also a junior veteran from another planet. Unfortunately enemy fire is now suppressing the three of you and she's planning on making a sacrifice.

>"You guys go, I think I can handle them."

What!? After all this time and effort to rescue her she wants us to abandon her!? Gale agrees with you.

>"You can't take them all on, your nanofield can't handle the strain."

>"Then lend me some of your nanite canisters then."

>"They're incompatible! It'll only make things worse for all of us!"

Look, you tell them, there's another way out of here without getting you all killed. You bring out one of you WATER VIALS and spill some spare liquid on the frozen ground. There's not much time before it freezes or dries up so you gotta act fast.

>"What? Don't tell me you're planning on using Dimensional Hopper. Isn't home base within range? I'd rather not end up in a puddle of nitrogen, thank you very much."

Nope, sadly. However you might not need to use it after all as a damaged combat robot suddenly appears in front of you. You quickly claim that you didn't do it.

>"Hey Kataiser, you think your custom Tasen-made Nanomachines can repurpose that?"

>"I...think?."

For the duration of this half of the update, you are Subject 336 "Splash". You are currently in a cave somewhere deep in Talshurm. You and Alex, your wayward partner, are being cornered by VILLAINOUS PISCINE HUMANOIDS. Apparently these entities were smart enough to avoid the obvious puddle trap laid before them, having already witnessed your capabilities earlier. Your luck turns around when a SWORD-WIELDING ROBOT appears right from the puddle. There's only one possible guess as to the cause of this.

It immediately targets the enemies and starts hacking them up with uncanny proficiency. Glad to know it's on your side...for the time being.

While you, Errai, and a handful of others settle down and enjoy some snacks; the more intellectual members of your group discuss the current situation. Betelgeuse inquires to the hazmat guy about their destination.

>"Since you hold experience in this facility, inform me about our upcoming destination."

>"We're heading to the R&D District, long-story-short it's where the magic happens. Or rather, it's the main laboratory that develops much of the establishment's...unique features."

>"Elaborate, how will this aid us in locating and defeating Petroleum?"

>"Not sure, but it does have some incriminating evidence on him. There were a lot of secrets kept hidden for generations and I just uncovered them now. Apparently the entire establishment of Resorcinol was built on top of this massive laboratory complex. I'm still uncovering the details but Petroleum killed off every hand involved, bit by bit including the people doing the murders, until his current batch of employees and patrons have no memory of the past. I was on my way up to demand reparations and get my personnel to fall back but that's when you and your group showed up. I don't know how that will help but I hope it gives you some answers."

Immediately after that statement, the realization hits Betelgeuse and the life gets sucked right out of her face.

>"So this...the archives were absolutely correct..."

Betelgeuse starts explaining her settlement's history to the hazmat guy. She sounds furious, blowing off some steam for everything that's happened to her.

>"Hazardous Materials Technician, do you remember me? Perhaps not due to my appearance for the time being, but I am the woman from yesterday, specifically the mother of the person you attempted to murder. Allow me to explain as you might not have the wisdom to process the situation."

She takes a deep breath to muster up her speech. You can see her fists clenching up.

>"You see generations ago a small colony of scientists were dispatched to this planet. I cannot recall the exact specifics of their objective as decades have warped our culture and memory. Regardless, your faction emerged without warning and forced us out of our settlement into crude living conditions within the planet's hostile biosphere. Meanwhile our ancestral home was perverted beyond measure and I presume that it is now completely incomprehensible if I were to attempt at operating it. I recall scant mentions of distant benefactors during the initial struggle, likely responsible for the ramshackle fortifications that surround our community. From your input, I conclude that they have been assassinated as Petroleum wanted to remove all traces of involvement with us. By this point his clique holds no recollection of past events."

Woah, you guess she's a lot more verbose when emotional. She walks up to him threateningly now that she's found someone to throw her frustrations at. Errai is worried from how her mother barely restraining herself.

>"Do you understand!? This entire district is wrongfully stolen! We are not 'mindless tribespeople' as some of your colleagues mention, we are intellectuals!! Had it not been for Whirlpool, it's likely you will consider turning us into a tourist attraction then slaughter our populace when we prove to be unruly. Is that what you want!? Kill us off so this laboratory will permanently be in your possession!? And you seriously have the audacity to accept the notion of killing my daughter!? WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THAT!!?"

The hazmat guy and several others are stunned at the sheer vitriol in Betelgeuse's speech. Caffeine tries to calm everyone down and avert potential in-fighting.

>"Easy guys, don't let our crankiness get the best of us. The elevator's stopped for a while now, by the way. So how about we save our anger for Petroleum, huh?"

You convince Betelgeuse that her anger is misapplied. All of the problems are the result of one man's machinations and it is Petroleum that she should be furious at. Errai agrees with you.

>"Mother, as elaborated earlier, Petroleum deliberately erased all involvement with us from his clique. As you can infer the man is an innocent subordinate similar to the hesitant District Heads. Please, save the aggression for "

>"I apologize for my outburst, but as your mother I am very worried at the idea of losing you."

Betelgeuse briefly readjusts her disposition and the group heads forward with no trouble. You suggest scouting ahead accompanied by the hazmat guy and Elizabeth.

>"Hey, why don't we get Caffeine to do it for us?"

You tell the vendor that you feel bad having to ask too much from her, plus you want to save her ability for serious emergencies. Besides, it's not like the action will come to you instead of the other way around.

The three of you slowly navigate the facility, looking ahead before signalling the others to proceed.

>"Why are we sneaking around again? This is my domain, Petroleum's is the Management District. Even though I notice a decrease in the facility's liveliness, that's probably because half my guys have been sent upstairs."

Oh yeah? You tell him to contact the remaining ones here and hope for an all-clear signal.

>"Alright I think I'll do that right now."

He tries contacting the other hazmats, that aren't already with him, but no one answers on the network.

>"That's odd, at the very least I'd get an indication that I'm speaking on the network, let me try another channel."

After a few more attempts, he concludes that something's wrong.

>"This shouldn't be happening, we have to go NOW. The CommLink Network is down for some reason."

He brings his two subordinates and runs off hastily, the rest of your follow suit.

Petroleum walks onto a mobile platform and resumes his speech, congratulating you on your progress thus far.

>"I'll admit, you were actually very close to finding me but it seems you wanted to have a little detour. Well congratulations, you just endangered many more lives...including this one right here."

He motions to the masked gunman beside him, who proceeds to bring out a hostage that Betelgeuse recognizes.

>"Fomalhaut!? You were presumed dead! If you were actually alive all this time, why did you not return to us? Why were you under their employ? And...we missed you."

Wait who!?

>"I'm sorry for being absent in your lives, but it's because I still loved you. They considered me too useful so I agreed as long that you were spared. I wasn't expecting you to fight for me though."

Huh!? You turn to Errai for clarification but she is also in shock from the revelation.

>"What a touching family reunion, looks like there's more at stake than I thought. You can rest easy, Flubber, if you won't make it then neither will your family. As for you, Mr. Hamilton Cooper, you did real good for your time under my service. However, as good of a job you and your hazmats did, I am considering your complete replacement with more robots. Think of the money I'd save, plus they're much more loyal than people. Grant here has given me a lot of contributions with his expertise."

And his codename is "Flubber"? Really? You wonder why the others aren't preemptively interrupting. Maybe it's because of how delicate the situation is.

>"Let's have an opportunity for one more compromise, since you're so interested in those third-way solutions. The cat's already out of the bag, so I might as well wipe my slate clean again. See, it's impossible for you to do anything since I have the leverage here. These robots can kill all of you so don't try anything funny. Now, how about a little negotiation? I can break your hearts and have this man killed any time, and this laboratory complex might turn to rubble by the end of the morning. Not to mention I can simply have you all killed. Lucky for you, here's the thing: Only one of those will happen, and I'll let you decide which one."

The masked gunman aims at Caffeine.

>"Flo, keep your hands apart because I don't think you can outspeed a bullet. And you, cat lady, nice suit. I think I'll take it, maybe even waive this whole thing off. Of course, you won't walk away unscathed but surely that's better than all of the above, right?"

It's probably way past midnight right now, a lot of people are exhausted and weary, and then this guy shows up with a personal armada, making demands and kicking people while they're down. Bullshit, there's no way you'll comply. However the circumstances are dire and no immediate ideas pop into your head.

Deploy pod, enter, and MAXIMIZE SPACIAL DISTORTION. Utilize the fact that they can't see inside to actually teleport out while they wait. With surprise in your hand, maybe you can actually use your spacial abilities to DISARM THE ONES HOLDING HOSTAGES, primarily CAFFEINE and FLUBBER.

You concede...for now.

You tell Petroleum that you'll give him your SUIT, but the process can take at least a minute, maybe more since all you've done so far is modify it and you've never removed it before. His response is favorable.

>"Fair enough, we have all the time in the world anyway. Do what you should."

Errai looks worried but you give her a wordless gesture of assurance. You retrieve your REPAIR MODULE from your inventory. You orient it in a way that presents the door to him while obscuring Caffeine. Luckily Sheng doesn't immediately shoot.

Inside, you reallocate all your stat points to SPATIAL DISTORTION, leaving you with POOR DAMAGE RESISTANCE and BELOW-AVERAGE MOBILITY. As the modification process happens, you ponder your next move. So far you're in a very sticky situation but you have a better grip on the higher-end of your abilities...that you have no knowledge of properly using. Instead, you decide to just drain a little of the water you gathered to form a puddle on the floor.

Petroleum certainly raised hell in here, there are puddles of blood from dead laboratory personnel all over the place, along with various liquids spilled all over the place as a result of the mayhem. You quietly slip out of your location to outflank the enemies. Lucky for you that all the drones are paying attention at your friends.

You have to act fast, he only expects you to take a minute or two. Any more and he will be suspicious. You also need to clear the way for the others to fall back. Luckily you have your RIOT GUN-TONFAS with you. Even though it's non-lethal, it can still prove to be a major distraction. You take aim and fire two simultaneous shots. The taser dart nails Grant and paralyzes him on the spot, but the tranquilizer dart seems to have no effect on the masked gunman. The nearby drones converge onto their downed master, shifting their focus to protecting him and taking aim at you.

>"What!?"

Predictably, Petroleum and the other guy turns around to look at you. That's all you need for now.

Right on cue, a volley of crossbow bolts take down some of the airborne drones. Rigel, Karina and Hamilton starts shooting at the other drones with their respective weapons. Sheng quickly aims his weapon at Fomalhaut but changes his mind and aims at Caffeine. Luckily the head waitress has already touched her watch in the brief moment and barely dodges the gunshot In a split second the last District Head disappears from peril and returns to his family's side. Before a touching reunion can happen, bullets ricochet off the floor as the other drones return fire at their position. Grant is recovering from his paralysis.

>"Okay, everyone out NOW!!"

>"What about Whirlpool!?"

>"She can handle herself, I trust her."

Everyone backs out into the corridor...except you. With reduced MOBILITY, you can't run as fast as you wanted to and the other drones are on the offensive again. You go back out the way you come from, back into the REPAIR MODULE. Trapped, you decide to hold still hoping that they never bother to check your pod again. Strangely enough, your shelter is being lifted off the ground. Aramid? She came back? That's pretty cool. The ride is a bit bumpy but at least you're not being left behind.

Meanwhile Grant and Sheng turn to their leader.

>"Hey, we need to chase them down. Aren't you coming with us?"

>"You guys go on ahead, I'll catch up."

Once your REPAIR MODULE is placed safely on the floor, you open the door to see...the receptionist? A soft, humming sound is coming from her. You ask her if Aramid is nearby.

>"No she isn't, I know it might be hard to believe but that was my strength."

What? No way! How!?

>"I am a robot, I thought the context clues would have already told you. I am one of the earliest fully-recognized robot citizens. And yes, my boyfriend is fully aware."

Well that certainly explains a lot of things. You step out of your pod to be greeted by Errai who proceeds to give you a tight hug. Her voice is on the verge of crying.

>"I was so concerned about your safety! I refuse to lose you under any circumstances!"

As you comfort her worry, you look past her shoulders to see everyone recovering from the stress of the situation. Elisabeth looks like she disappeared for some reason and an argument is brewing between Betelgeuse, Hamilton and Fomalhaut.

>"Damn it! This means that Petroleum is going to blow the place up!"

>"Hey, just be thankful that we got out of there alive."

>"But that contained our heritage! Are you content with permanently losing our birthright!?"

>"I gotta agree with your wife, that contained priceless technology I worked hard to preserve."

>"There's still time, I assume he's going to try and chase us."

>"Assumptions cannot always be correct like facts, it is like that he has already started the demolitions!"

This could be bad, how are you going to handle this?

Ask caffeine for her watch. Utilize her watch and your own spacial distortion abilities to quickly scour the facility for explosives, and teleport any and all that you find to random locations ANYWHERE IN THE UNIVERSE. They should be far out of activation range.

To facilitate even quicker travel around the facility, you should use WATERTECH: MOISTURIZER and SPACIAL WEAPON: WATER CANNON to spread a lot more bodies of liquid around. If you come across any hostiles, combine LIQUID ORDINANCE with WATER CANNON to get some potentially powerful combinations going - they sound compatible!

There's no telling if this will actually do what we want it to, since we've never used these techs before, but it's worth a shot! The names seem revealing enough.

You agree with Betelgeuse and Hamilton, mentioning that this is the perfect opportunity to strike back at Petroleum. He probably expects you to keep retreating, and will let his guard down.

>"I was hoping we would fight him on our terms, in an advantageous position."

But here's the thing, we can already do that anyway anyway. The reason why you had to retreat earlier was because of bad the situation is. Once things were stabilized, you got your bearings and a counterattack is open.

>"Alright, that sounds feasible."

He smirks.

Relax, you tell her that you will find a way to reset that "age debt". Looking around again, you just noticed that the elevator never moved from its position. Huh.

After receiving a crash course on using the head waitress' watch, she bids you good luck.

Meanwhile, signs of Grant's minions are spotted in the corridor entrance. You're going to be somewhat preoccupied with dealing with the bombs so someone else has to deal with the robots in your stead.

Let's see...low frequency microwave radiation should work well with the high humidity in the room, but it could end up acting weird because of that too. High frequency in the form of gamma radiation will definitely screw with optics and might even fry the circuitry, but there's a chance these things could be lead lined or something. For the duration of this update, you are now Hamilton Cooper. You turn to one of your remaining HAZMAT TECHNICIANS and order him to hand you the MICROWAVE EMITTER.

>"Captain, you do know that won't really work right? And you still have your railgun."

You tell him that you prefer to save it for the high-priority targets. Brandishing the weapon, you fire a beam of DIRECTED EM WAVES. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have any noticable effects. An airborne drone wobbles in its flight path but it might just be its dodgy flying style. Damn, it was worth a shot.

Meanwhile Whirlpool is currently being deployed to her task. She won't be around for a while.

Suddenly a couple of the airborne drones speeds up and halts at a certain point in the air, acting like turrets anchored in space. It begins pelting you with minor attacks, forcing you to hide behind cover such as the repair module, Havelyn or the receptionist. No one is injured by the volley but it's definitely annoying. The rest of the drones are due to catch up, it's likely they can even breach through the chain-link door and actually bring the hurt on us.

As Sheng Hua Nan approaches the elevator platform, a chainsaw-wielding maid drops down to attack him from behind. This must be one of Elisabeth's comrades. Unfortunately the masked gunman blocks the chainsaw blade with his left forearm, ruining his sleeve and giving his skin a shallow cut. He quickly retaliates using his LEVEL 3 BATONTECH: WINDBREAK FURY.

The maid is disarmed and her weapon is demolished. The flurry of baton swings sends her into a critical condition. Before he can finish her off, he hears footsteps coming towards him. But he's nothing you can't totally handle, for one thing you're undead. Another is that much of his threat is reduced without his weapons. Plus, you're very strong too. After all, only a filthy casual decides to wear Havel's Set without the required strength?

The receptionist picks up some scrap from one of the ruined drones and hurls it right at the one drone beside Grant. Thanks to her ROBOTIC PROWESS, the piece of debris is reaching breakneck speeds before slamming into his OBSERVER DRONE. It harmlessly explodes but the unexpectedness of the event distracts him. In a surprised daze he unknowingly steps on a bear trap. At some point in time, Elisabeth has already activated her LEVEL 1 MAIDTECH: TRAP.

>"Oh come on! Gnnk...damn..."

Meanwhile, Sheng realizes that Havelyn is stalling him and proceeds to run away immediately. He ignores everyone else in order to help his colleague out, unfortunately he only got as close as speaking distance before the stone-clad knight tackles him.

For the duration of this segment, you are Grant Yindelt.

Yes, of course that bear trap is painful! But you're pretty good at holding it in, plus it'd make you look scrubby if you cry like a lil' kid at a time like this. You've held your cool so far, why lose it now?

You turn to Sheng Hua Nan (pinned underneath Havelyn) and tell him to use his HEALING FACTOR, it's literally his best move. He shakes his head and explains to you in fluent Chinese.

>["I'm not damaged enough to make good use of it, it's just a waste of energy at this point."]

>>723232
Now the situation is reversed. Everyone looks menacing and brandishes their weapons at Grant. They demand to know how to stop Petroleum's explosives from demolishing the district. His composure remains steady but he is more cooperative this time.

>"What? You actually thought he's trying to blow it up? Well, he could but that's dumb. This place is too useful for him, and he had Resorcinol built on top of this. Destroying everything might ruin a good chunk of his invesments. It would probably easier for him to destroy all the old equipment, wipe out all the data and go for a complete renovation. This place might look better in sci-fi purple."

>>723159
No one has rope, not even Nicotine. Havelyn volunteers to stay in place for as long as he needs to while Hamilton orders his to subordinates to stand guard over the other one. Halon also freezes them for good measure anyway.

We could always remove sheng's gasmask and have nictone "subdue" both sheng and grant. It'd be less intensive on our unit numbers, plus I doubt nicotine will be of much use against a cyborg.

For the duration of this update, you are now Nicotine.

There are these two prisoners snagged by some good grace. Stationing guards is a good idea but you suggest working your moxie on them, it's less hassle that way. You tell the other fellows to go on ahead so you can ease up on the friendly fire.

You start off with the cocky grifter, removing his literal ankle-biter. Taking a few deep breaths, your head sways faintly from side to side.

>"Gee thanks a lot Nicotine. You're a pretty swell dame, I tell you that."

Pffhahaha, yeah whatever he says. Brow-nosing doesn't really work when you've already seen his true colors. Right now you're just wondering if your PHEROMONES can kick in before his wound does. Eventually his gaze turns weak and he passes out.

As for Sheng, Havelyn removes his mask and his lights go out within seconds. That's certainly odd, and the stone-clad guy agrees with you..

>"Huh that's weird, for someone stronger than I assumed he went down pretty quickly. Or maybe he's just pretending."

>>724114
You are now Whirlpool again.

Despite loaning Caffine's CHRONO WATCH, you're still hesitant on using it. Plus, you just realized that it's somewhat hard to get it to fit on your wrist so you placed it in your inventory for the time being.

Your first stop is within spying range of Petroleum again, just to see what his next move will be and if he has a detonator or anything like that. So far all he's doing right now is walking away from the platform he climbed earlier. Why does he even have that anyway? Dramatic emphasis?

Damn, despite budget mode I -still- take a while to update.

You look around for a bit before making your move. There doesn't seem to be any bombs on the walls or ceiling while the large platform remains inert. There are some bodies of R&D personnel and maybe signs of conflict like stray bullet holes but it's nothing that bothers you too hard. However, near Petroleum are some of the remaining drones stationed near the platform.

>"You know what? I should've asked where the button is on that thing."

It looks like he didn't get to do something. Retrieving the CHRONO WATCH from your inventory, you take a deep breath and prepare your HUD's stopwatch. Messing around with your suit's firmware isn't exactly healthy but it's good to have options.

In sync, you slow down your personal flow of time and the stopwatch begins measuring the time taking in your perspective. You plan to put yourself into stasis to reset the "time debt". You'd rather not lose track of your birthday again.

Putting your plan into action, you strafe around your target really closely, firing off sudden shots before slinking away behind a container near the steps. The process only takes you a minute or so, it should be manageable. You deactivate the watch and hear the satisfying crackles of the taser darts take effect.

>"Ugh, really? What a bother. Still, props to Elisabeth for being worth every dime."

You remember that he has a ROBOT BODY.

Go back to petroleum, spill the liquid onto the ground.
Vacuum puddle, transport him and the bots into the BLAZING INFERNO

Machinery doesn't typically do well in heat- internal components melt and bend out of shape.

Think its viable, dudes? My other idea is that we could just make him a nonfactor by sending him ANYWHERE IN THE UNIVERSE. But that could end up three feet away, or he could be a dick to other people.
