As a way to explain, you know how you are meant to eat chinese food with sticks? Cutting, stabbing and otherwise mangling the food is something done in the kitchen only. The dining table is meant to be a relaxing and enjoyable place, which is why the food is already cut and sliced into nice bite-sized chunks beforehand in the kitchen.

Which means there's an amazing collection of knives, cooking tools and the like, with super solid and heavy tables and chopping boards.

Yup, it's a work area, definitively.

By the way, the pantry is full and well stocked. We even got a [Preservation] spell in place to emulate a [Item Box]'s effect, so food doesn't decays, which is nice, of course. Way better than a fridge.

Yeah it was rather expensive, but its the one-time-expense type that will keep paying for itself afterwards, right? So its fine.

He's standing in front of a large table covered in schematics, holding a delicate looking device and studying it through a gewelcrafter's magnifying lens.

Rather than the fashionable suit he normally wears, he's in work clothes with an overall on top, yet somehow manages to look as serious as usual.

At least he's not wearing the top hat.

"What is that?" - we reply as greeting
"A balance device to help steady small rock-it arrays. Im working on it to make the lightning cballistas easier to move around. Ours, anyway."

It can't be helped since we are rushing them out without the proper research first. We work together to make as many improvements to the guns as we can before sending the schematics to the workshops. Its really fun to see Aritsu walk around so self conscious as she helps, comparing data between projects, carrying blue prints or books, and aiding with number crunching at the blackboard.

By the end of the evening, we bring her a cup of tea and kiss her forehead.

"You did great."
"Ah, thank you president." -she says with a smile as she holds the cup of tea

It was a nice day, in many ways.

Come think about it, counting the time difference, we've kept her up for almost 20 hours? And most of that have been intense in a way or another, so she did really well today.

Our ships might be able to fly but they can't hit the Alquian ships which are faster and more maneuverable.
And forget trying to use the Mantequiran tactic of ramming boarding ships into fortifications; since the Alquians have cannons in turrets, they'll just shoot our ships as they approach.

Our invasion force if fucked over because it won't have the ranged weapons needed to compete with the Alquian battleships.

In the morning, Lyann wakes us up with a kiss.

"Ah, good morning." -she says smiling as she kisses and holds us
"Hmmmorning." -we reply happily

She keeps kissing us for a bit... wasn't this our good morning kiss? Or was she just kissing us and we happened to wake up?

Ah, in some ways, our lovely redhead can be a little scary sometimes, about how much she loves us. Well, we like kissing her whenever too, so we can't really complain, right? But yandere is no good, you know? So please don't go that route.

Well, the 'factory' is right next to the orphanage after all, so its a good idea to show up from time to time, though being a rest day, we probably won't get to see them working.

Most of our siblings are sleeping late today, with the exception of Zoe, as usual, whom is already up and helping around the house.

"Eldric, if you are going out, please take Zoe along." - Ellie takes the apron from Zoe's waist and starts pushing her towards us.
"Nya!? M-mommy Ellie, I'm not wearing proper street clothes!" -she complains while blushing

Oooh, our little sister is fashion-sensitive? I guess she's a bit precocious for her age... well, it's fine, she's 8 so she can happily wear simple clothes and noone should complain, you know?

She's wearing a simple and slim white dress. Lyann nods and grabs her hand, then takes her upstairs.

I guess they're going to change her clothes.

Well, it isn't a problem to wait for a little bit.

When they come back down, Zoe is wearing a long and rather warm-looking black dress with a small white coat over it. The coat has a tall neck and its buttoned all the way, giving it a rather uniform-like feeling, but only reaches down to cover her chest despite having long sleeves.

I guess its something like a wind cutter. It looks rather warm.... well, the dress itself looks pretty light so its probably alright? Day time up here in the mountains can get pretty hot during the warm months, you know?

Ah, she's wearing high heel boots, so she looks a little bit taller than usual. She looks lovely, but can she walk on heels?

"Brother, how do I look?" -she asks happily as she trots downstairs.

"You are really cute." - we answer honestly.. oh she tripped!

Of course we catch her! We're her big brother you know?!

'Uff!' ...such feeling isnt there! She's pretty light, you know?

We catch her and hug her so she can steady herself. Oh, she's so soft! As expected of a little kitten. Now that we can look down her back, her black dress has a really deep cleavage cut on the back!? ...oh, it reaches down just under her tail.

I see, so its a compromise between fashionable and practical for someone with a tail. Its okay because her short white jacket covers the top of her back, so its just a small section that gets exposed through the V-shaped window.

"Ah! Thank you." -she says into our ear as she hugs us.

Poor thing, she must have gotten scared, right? Don't worry, big brother is here!

"Are you alright?"
"Yes." -she answers softly and then pouts a little as we place her on her feet.

Did she twist an ankle after all? No, I guess she's fine.. since she was pouting, I thought she might have been hurt.

From her position on the stairs right behind where Zoe was, Lyann leaves out a big sigh for some reason.

Of course, Zoe's dress is actually a very thin silk dress that clings to her figure, showing off her great body while almost completely hiding it, in that way which only silk can, by smoothly sliding over it like a second skin. And with her high heels, her legs are shown off, too. The short jacket is meant to emphasize her generous and firm torpedoe breasts and princess neck by drawing attention to them... but Eldric just doesn't sees her in that light at all!

After a while, they make it to the orphanage and knock on the door, after calling Kiriani and Aurora out.

"Good morning. Please come ahead, and I will inform the princess of your arrival." -says Dusk as she opens the door for us and invites us in.

She quickly comes back with a few drinks and snacks for us to enjoy while waiting, and shortly after Kya comes out to the common room, wearing what looks like casual clothes.

Well, she's wearing a simple short dress with a deep blue skirt full of white designs over it. I guess she might have been working or teaching the kids.

"Oh, Ekdric, miss Lyann and miss Zoe, what brings you here today?" -she greets us after courtsying slightly
"Well, I wanted to check on the children." -we reply honestly- "I also wanted to let my pets play with them. It should be good for their growth."

"Alright, but we were going to have lunch in the city's plaza, is that alright with you?"

We make small talk for a while. There's no big news nor bad news, so mostly we just talk about the children's expectatives and the funds the orphanage/factory has accumulated by exporting products to Eopolis and Opal.

It seems a rather large sum, really.
