> THE DEATH STAR <
> IMPERIAL NAVY COMMAND HEADQUARTERS <
> SOMEWHERE IN DEEP SPACE <

Yes, yes. Clean uniform. Straight hair. Bold eyes. And a degree of command education from the Carida academies! You smirk as you check as yourself in the mirror. This is a man who can command a fleet! Hmph, so what if your father happened to pull your application to the Academy through over dozens of other more qualified applicants. -They- don't have powerful fathers who can get them a cozy command position that'll put credits in their coffers and Twi'leks in the pants.

Yes, that's the dream.

You are a newly minted Admiral for the Galactic Empire. You've only really commanded an Arquitens around the Yavin IV wreckage, but only to really make the minimum service requirements required for promotion. They don't just promote just anybody to be Admirals after all, especially not ones in charge of Fleets.

Oh goodness. What if they mean to put you in command of a Super Star Destroyer!?

Dad is going to be proud. He'll be jealous even! He's still in command of a piddly little Victory on the frontlines somewhere and you're going to be in command of Super Star Destroyer Executor or Ravager. And beyond just that command, possibly dozens, even a hundred ships at your disposal! The money, the glory, the women!

Oh, this is giving you chills!

“Sir.” Your trusty Imperial R2 unit, R2-F4, rolls in. Yes, being an Officer means having your own trusty R2 unit. Haha! “Your meeting with the Grand Admiral is in an hour. Your ships is now docking with the Death Star.”

“Thank you, F,” you say as you dust your pins and code cylinders. Must keep code cylinders clean. Unclean code cylinders are worse than a womprat in a thermal exhaust port. Goodness, that smelled for weeks. “Tell me, how do I look?”

“You look like a tooka,” he mutters.

“What was that?”

“I said you look like a million credits,” he says quickly, whirring his dome around. You heard that. Dumb little droid. Thinks he can insult you and get away with it. “Sir, you seem particular excited.” Oh, yes, yes, there's that. “I assume you think you're going to be put in charge of a fleet.”

“Of course!” You thump your chest, grinning. “Think of it, F. You don't promote a Captain of an Arquitens-light to Admiral just to stuff them in the rear. We're going to the front!”

“You've never been to the front, sir.”

You huff. “Please. I've passed all fifty simulated battles back at the Academy.”

“Only because you cheated,” he says back.

“Cheating is man's natural advantage against the alien,” you explain. “Besides, they never caught me anyway. So what's the issue?” F4 continues to stare at you, before simply swiping his head left and right on the axis. A shrug. “See, I've stumped you, you smug little metal trashbin. I will not have my morality questioned by something that isn't programmed with one in the first place.”

“Very well, sir,” he says. “I still think you're a tooka and I look forward to seeing you die.”

You roll your eyes. “And I can't wait to scrap you the minute I get a better replacement.” Truth be told, you are a little reluctant to replace F4. He's the only person who bothers to criticize on you anything. That is something you might need as an Admiral, a second opinion.

Even if its from a trashbin on treads.

Still, your ship was now docking with the Death Star. As you and F4 started to walk down to the docking port, you quickly file through your thoughts in a mental fashion. Everything from the Academy, to your pre-existing service time, all that garbage.

You're not just here to accept a job, you're here to compete for it after all. As the Empire does.

F4 swivels his head to you. “Sir. Are you confident?”

“Of course I am!” you say. “They're going to give me my Fleet, you are going to enjoy a lifetime of sitting in a scrapyard when I replace you with a cute yeoman, and I get to reap the benefits thereof.”

“Are you sure they're actually going to give you a fleet?” he asks.

“Are you a broken holotape or something? Of course they are!”

Oh great, now you're getting doubt into your system.

“Let's just go over your particular charms in fleet combat,” he says. You roll your eyes again. “What would you say is your favorite part of the navy?”

> The ships.

You're temped to say the “getting to stand around do nothing while everyone does things for me” bit because that actually IS your favorite part of the Navy. But you figure that the Grand Admiral might not like that answer, so you say, “The ships.”

“Really,” says F4, not really believing that it seems. “I don't believe you.”

“Hey, I scored top marks in the study of ship construction and engineering,” you say. “And I didn't cheat. So how about that?”

“I'm proud, sir.” You roll your eyes. Right, just talk ships with the Grand Admiral then. Yes, talk about the nuances of a Star Destroyer's construction, the turbolasers, the engines, the comm/shielding towers, all that stuff. Bury him in technical talk that he might not understand. Hehe, that's one way to get past a bureaucrat.

Though, another way is to just join the bureaucracy.

Once you're through the docking port, a squad of Stormtroopers is there at the entrance. They salute you. “Sir. We're here to escort you.” Awwww, yes! A Stormtrooper escort! You've always wanted one of these! You always had to deal with those lower class Navy troop escorts, but real Stormtroopers! Ha ha! You suppress a smile and walk with them.

-

-

The Grand Admiral sits across from you from behind his desk. Behind him is the window, showing off the might of the Imperial Fleet, hundreds of ships from the lowly Tartan cruiser to the mighty Super Star Destroyers. He stares through your records on his holocomputer. Goodness, something about how stiff his movements are, the way he conducts himself.

How does someone get to be like him? You could make an ice sculpture out of him from how frigid his attitude is.

“So, Admiral.”

“Sir!” You stiffen up in your seat, with F4 being next to you.

“We need Officers, we need leaders, we need people like you. That's no secret,” he says.

“I'm aware, sir.” You smile a bit. “So, which ship do you need me to command?”

“You won't be commanding a ship.” Oh, okay.

… wait.

The Grand Admiral continues. “We have a situation. The way things are, the way the Yuuzhan Vong move through our galaxy. There's no frontline to speak of. They come up from below, hit us where we least expect it. And while the Imperial Navy is mighty, we're not invincible. Your father has given you a glowing recommendation to be part of a new kind of war that we're fighting against the Yuuzhan Vong.” Oh, oh! Even better! “Tell me.” He shuffles three holo records towards you. “Pick one of three to be your Secretary.”

You blink. “Secretary?”

“Flagship of your first fleet, personal assistant, other duties that you can't take care of personally.” Oh. Um. You look at the data records. “Choose one of the three. The other two will be part of the fleet that we will give you. But the Secretary will be your personal darling unless you choose otherwise later.”

Um. Where is this going?

Wait. He can't be- is he giving you-

Nah. He's joking. Let's play along. What ships do we have?

By that logic we should only be picking from an Imperial 2 Class Star Destroyer which isn't even a pick. We just got promoted and their actually good ships are too useful to waste on a project that might or might not actually pull this off.

“Ah, yes, the Prosecutor. Not the greatest history in the Clone Wars,” says the Grand Admiral. “But I appreciate your decision. I will let her know.” You tilt your head, confusedly. “Admiral. You'll be going to the planet of Dantooine. It's a system of relatively light Yuuzhan Vong activity. You'll be getting to know the ropes there, and pretty soon you'll join the Imperial Navy on the frontlines when it comes down to it.”

You lean forward. “You don't mean...”

“The Big Push.” The Grand Admiral nods. “It's coming. But not anytime soon. The Yuuzhan Vong are hitting us hard. And right now, we need to consolidate our resources, and expand, and build on what little we have.” Little? You stare out the window. There must be hundreds of ships! That can't be little! “Admiral, you will report to Dantooine posthaste, do you understand? Your orders will be given when you arrive.”

“Yes, sir.” You stand up, saluting him. “Is there anything else?”

“Nope,” he says. “But tell me, do you have a little sister or... anything of that nature?”

You blink. “I'm an only child, sir.”

“Ah.” The Grand Admiral nods slowly. “Okay.”

“Is that-”

“Dismissed.” He goes back to his holocomputer.

“But-”

“Dismissed,” he says more sternly. Okay. You slowly walk out of the room with F4.

Once the door shuts behind you, you look to him. “You don't think he's putting me in charge of Starship Girls, right?” F4 stares at you. “Hey, I asked you a question you rustbucket. I- I can't command girls! They'd all be fighting all over me! I mean, they'd be too focused on trying to love me rather than fighting the Vong you know? That's not productive to a Fleet command! You get that?”

“I didn't even need to say anything and yet you're still the smarmiest human I know,” says F4. You slap him on the dome. “Ow.”

> DANTOOINE <

Dantooine. Ugh, what a backwater. Your Arquitens is already in atmosphere and landing by the time you realize just what kind of assignment you're getting. Starship Girls!? Damn it! They're not the Executor, or the Admonitor, or even Pellaeon's Chimaera! Ugh. This is not something you wanted, experimental warfare.

“I thought you'd love this,” says F4.

“I told you. I mean, yeah, the girls are attractive, but I'd rather be in a nice, cold, hard, ship. Not a-... you get what I mean,” you say quickly.

“I am going to calculate how long it takes you to get slapped,” he says. “And I will laugh. Ha, ha.” You roll your eyes at him again.

The Arquitens-light cruiser lands down on the outpost surface. It was a medium-sized prefab facility, with buildings for small cruisers and fighters to land on. Hopefully you aren't the only normal Imperial here. “Get my things, F4.” F4 will be delayed as he assembles your things in your room, while you step down the ramp to the landing pad. The fresh Dantooine air immediately assaults your nose.

So this is what a backwater looks like.

Stepping out of the shadow of your ship, you see a young girl with silver hair resting on her shoulders. Her hair is pulled back a bit with hairclips in the shape of the Open Circle Fleet emblem. Her uniform is a simple grey blouse, with a flowing black pleated miniskirt, and around her collar is a red ribbon. She looks at you with somewhat fearful eyes as you approach.

And when you do, you ask, “Aren't you going to salute me?”

She gasps, then immediately salute. “Sorry, sir,” she says with a very quiet and gentle voice.

“It's fine.” You salute her back, then allow her to drop her salute. She relaxes a little. “So. You're the Prosecutor.”

“Yes, sir.” She nods a bit, glancing away. “I-... I'm sorry if I am not capable in my duties. My big sister Resolute or Arrestor are much more capable than me but they're not here so...”

“Sir.” F4 rolls down the ramp, with a towing trailer attached to carry your bags. “Your things.” Prosecutor yelps, then immediately hides behind you, clutching you tight. Um. F4 rolls towards you. “What's her problem? She never seen a droid before?”

>>
> “You scared of droids?”

“Are you scared of droids, Prosecutor?” you ask.

“Er... they uh...” Prosecutor clears her throat, slowly slinking behind you. “They make me feel uncomfortable.”

You look at F4. “You see what you did? You're scaring the poor girl. I should have you scrapped, F4.”

“If it weren't for my inhibitors and because we're friends, I'd probably kill you,” says F4. “Your orders, Admiral?”

Oh right. “Prosecutor. If you would mind gathering the other two girls on base and bringing them to my office? And if you could actually lead me to my office too?” Prosecutor nods, and quickly motions you to follow her. She'll take the lead, with you forming a shield between her and F4. She walks a bit nervously, occasionally looking back at you and F4 as she does. She's probably a little paranoid, no worries.

Besides, she's got quite the short skirt. Yes, she does. F4 bumps into you. “Hey!”

“Eyes on the road,” he says.

You sit behind your nice wooden desk, built out of the same trees that populate Kashyyyk in fact. Those Wookiees sure know their carpentry. And this chair as well, real Trandoshan leather. Haha! Those aliens are good for something after all. You pat your arm rests, grinning as you look out the window. It's not a bad view. You get the base, and your ship on the landing pad, and you get the whole landscape of Dantooine. Flowing green grass and hills as far as the eye can see.

Pretty boring.

[2/2]

The three ship girls come in and salute you. You stand up and salute back.

You know Prosecutor.

Next to her is a taller girl, with a dress that reveals her very slender waist and emphasizes her full hips and chest. The dress is cut out to show off the skin, cut down to a narrow strip of cloth between the chest and the skirt in fact. On her belt are several bacta capsules, and her hands white gloves, and her legs covered up by red thigh highs as well. She brushes back her blonde hair, capped by a hat used by Rebel infiltrators of the past. “Redemption, reporting sir.”

The next girl is Black Hawk. She wears a black minidress in the style of the Imperial Officers. She's much shorter and even a little younger than Prosecutor, with long black hair, and a grey alice band pulling it back topped off with a little Satelitte next to her ear. She wears white gloves like Redemption, and wears knee high boots to cap herself off. Very energetically, she says, “Black Hawk, reporting as ordered, sir!”

“So... this is my first fleet of... Starship Girls.” You sit back in your chair, smiling at all of them. The three of them continue to stand at attention. “Right. F4, orders.”

F4 rolls up to you, and prints a holodisc for you. You place it into your computer.

“How about you girls show me around?” you ask. “Perhaps we can train you girls a bit later so I can get an idea of how each of you operate. Understand?”

Black Hawk smacks her hand on your desk, grinning. “We'd love to, Admiral! The outpost is so wizard! We've got everything a Starship Girl fleet needs! Come on!” She quickly bolts out the door.

Redemption smiles at you. “She's very energetic. Come along, Admiral.” You stand up, then follow Prosecutor and Redemption out. F4 makes to follow you, but you stop him. You motion the girls to meet you outside, and thus they leave you.

“Stop right there, F4.” He swivels his dome, confused. “I need you to stay here. Keep the log books checked, make sure you catch calls from the Grand Admiral or perhaps even the Emperor or Darth Vader. Do you understand?”

“You're only keeping me back because yo want a choice to charge their loading ramps, don't you,” he asks.

“Well, in not so many words, just get in the corner.” He makes a low beep of frustration, then goes to sit in the corner. Later, droid. You got a date with some Starship Girls!

> THE DOCK <

“This is the Dockyard!” yells Black Hawk. Before you stretches a very lavish bathhouse, with a central communal bath, with many other little pens for individual people. Clean porcelain and granite mark the interior, and this seems to be more of... luxury thing than an actual military installation. You look around, scrunching your face at the humid air as fresh glowing water is set out in the baths. “Here we fix ourselves after we get damaged in battle! A nice fresh bath is really all we need!”

“So you just sit here and bath yourselves to get fixed,” you say.

“Oh, no, no,” says Redemption. “Sometimes we come here just when we need a bath.” Oh. Right. “The water is a mixture of a bacta, kolto, and clean hot water, along with a special touch from the Crystals used to build us, Admiral. However, depending on the damage we take, it does take very long to repair us.”

Prosecutor however says, “I can begin work on acquiring Instant Repair Buckets however.” Wait. Huh?

You fold your arms, sighing. “Okay, what else is there?”

> THE TRAINING ROOM <

The Training Room is essentially the Well, derived from an old Clone Wars training system used for Clone cadets. Here, the Well is in zero gravity, as expected for space, and is a modular room designed to present any number of scenarios to your Starship Girls for the purpose of training them without wasting precious resources. “Yeah, we have no idea what this room is for,” says Black Hawk. “But I like to have fun with it! I get to shoot starfighters all day long in this room!”

“Right,” you say. You fold your arms. “Prosecutor?”

She quickly says, “I'll schedule a training session when you feel ready, Admiral.”

> THE FACTORY <

The not very imposing Factory building is just a square prefab structure. However, all the girls seem afraid to go in and see what it is. “Uh. So this is the Factory?” They all nod, shivering and shuddering in its appearance. Even the cool headed Redemption seems scared to go in. “Why are you all so scared?”

Redemption says, “Arc Hammer lives in there.”

Who?

“Arc Hammer!” says Prosecutor. “She builds all of our equipment. But she really hates it if you touch her stuff, so we just keep outside of it. This is actually the closest I've even come to the Factory! She really, really, scares me!” She quickly hides behind Redemption and Black Hawk. "Please don't make me go in there, Admiral! Please!"

> “Fine, stay here. I'll go in.”

“Fine, stay here,” you say. “I'll introduce myself like a proper gentleman.” You huff, stepping through the factory door. Here we go.

The door suddenly shuts behind you, covering you in pitch black darkness. Uh. The lights come on, now showing dozens of scrap piles of durasteel, computer and droid parts, and much much more. Huh. Well, she certainly keeps the place organized, hehe. Eh, no ones around to hear your mental jokes. Not even F4. You walk around, looking at all the parts and stuff. A few mouse droids whistle by you, squeaking along and carrying some scrap bits on top of themselves. Feh, pests.

You shake your head, continuing to walk around. “Who are you?” You freeze, then step back and look to your right. Standing there, holding a spare motivator, is Arc Hammer herself. Her black minidress is straight, with white trim along the skirt as well. But her legs, good god her legs. There were like half of her body length! And those white stockings as well. Good god. You can't take your eyes of them. “Excuse me, I asked you a question.” You bring your eyes up to her face. Her long blonde hair drops even past her skirt, with her bangs covering her left eye, the other showing a bright blue eye. On top of her head was a set of red-eyed goggles, and on her bare arms were metallic plates with conveyor belts along them it seems.

You sigh, looking up at her. She has at least three solid inches on you. “I'm your new Admiral. You must be Arc Hammer.”

“I trust you didn't touch anything when you came in.” She leans. “I don't like it when people touch my stuff.”

“Now, hey.” You hold up your hand, and sternly address her. “All this is property of the Imperial Navy, and I happen to be your superior...” You look down at her legs again. So long, so slender. “And uh...” She clears her throat, and you look up at her again. “So you build things here, right?”

“I build equipment and modifications along with overseeing the construction of new Starship Girls, yes,” she says. Okay, okay, that's good.

You blink, looking to one of the scrap piles. Sitting amongst the scrap are what appear to be little black stormtroopers. They sit around, buzzing and carrying some scrap plates to be stored onto the pile. Um. So are those the fairies you hear so little about? They're so tiny. And yet- You reach out for them.

Arc Hammer yells, “Wait, don't-” The fairies immediately scatter, but one of them bumps into something. This causes the pile to shake, and immediately topple over.

On top of you.

“... this is what happens when you try to touch my things, Admiral.” Oh goodness sake. You can hardly breathe with this stuff on top of you!

You sigh deeply. How did it come to this. You're a student of the Carida Academies, you passed with the highest marks, your father is a decorated Captain in the Navy. And now you're buried in rubble being accosted by a leggy Starship Girl. “I'm sorry,” you say. “I-” Suddenly a bit of metal bashes you in the head. “Yow! Agh!”

“Let's get this stuff off of you,” says Arc Hammer. She leans over you and oh hello, that is a short skirt.

Suddenly the door flies open. “LET HIM GO, ARC HAMMER!” yells Prosecutor. She rushes up to Arc Hammer, surprised as can be. Black Hawk and Redemption peek around the corner to see Prosecutor challenge Arc Hammer with nothing but a pair of fists and her own gumption. “I'll fight you if I have to!” She shuts her eyes, looking away as she holds up her fists.

Arc Hammer looks at you. “My Secretary.” She nods, then proceeds to lift the debris off of you. Some mice droids and fairies proceed to clean up any remains. You take care not to step on any of them. Who knows what she'll do. “Thank you for attempting to rescue me, Prosecutor.” She nods, still visibly afraid of Arc Hammer as she cowers behind you.

“Next time, be more mindful,” says Arc Hammer. “I have many parts in this workshop to work with and they are not for the average person to simple manhandle. They're very dangerous.” She folds her arms, looking down on you.

“Right, right...” You rub your head. Ugh.

“Oh, Admiral!” Redemption comes towards you, putting her hand on your head. “Oh, you have a bruise!” Do you? She takes a bacta capsule from her belt, then gently dabs a bit of bacta onto your head. “Awww, you poor thing.” Oh, uh... You look down at her chest, then nod slowly. Yes, yes, you're very poor and wretched, hehe. “Here, let Redemption kiss that better for you.” She gently pecks your forehead, and immediately you shudder. Oh goodness, Redemption.

“Demp!” Black Hawk whines to her. “He's fine!”

“Oh, but look at him, he's so pathetic!” says Redemption. Wait, what? Prosecutor simply stands to the side, unable to really do anything else it seems.

Suddenly, F4 wheels himself into the room. “Admiral. You have a message.”

“Can this wait?” You look at Redemption, smirking a bit.

“It's from Lord Vader.”

It can't wait.

You and your ship girls (even Arc Hammer) stand in front of the holo console, where a very large and imposing hologram of Darth Vader addresses you. Beside him are the Starship Girls, SSD Executor, a huge busty girl that matches him in size, and the Venator-class Star Destroyer Resolute, a much more elegantly attractive girl still wearing the markings of the Open Circle Fleet. “Admiral. I have received reports of Yuuzhan Vong activity in your sector.”

You sweat a little. “Yes, Lord Vader. I know. I was just-”

“I am ordering you to start offensive operations,” he says. Oh, but, you haven't even practiced with the girls yet- “And I expect results, Admiral. Should things go well for you, I will send you Resolute to reinforce your fleet.”

Resolute smiles at you. “I will look forward to working with you, Admiral.” The way that dress opens up, baring her cleavage, her midriff, and everything down to the belt, oh so do you.

“Rest assured, you will defeat the Yuuzhan Vong,” says Lord Vader. “Or you will be replaced.” His transmission cuts out.

Prosecutor blinks, looking around. “A-... Admiral?”

“Alright, basic stuff.” You and F4 take the controls of the Well, with the girls all standing down in the bottom of it. Even Arc Hammer you drafted to be part of it as well, seeing as how she's the biggest and according to the logs of the actual ship she represents, she's supposed to be decently well-armed. She even comes with missile scrambling technology which should be good. “Me and F4 are gonna throw some basic escort-class cruisers at you. Nothing too big.”

Prosecutor as the flagship wears a red armband on her arm. She raises it. “What formation do you want, Admiral?”

“Two lines. Redemption and Black Hawk in front, Prosecutor and Arc Hammer behind. Keep the formation tight so you can cover each other from fighters, Black Hawk especially will keep you safe. Got it?” you ask. That should be the theoretically safe option.

You start the simulation. The girls take the formation. The demonic spiky forms of small escort-cruisers pop out of gaps in the walls, six of them total, and start to assail the girls from three directions with two a piece. One frontal assault, two flank assaults.

Prosecutor clears her throat. “O-... okay, everyone! Deploying fighters!” She pulls a grenade from her hull, kicks her leg up, then fires it at the front escort carriers. “Fly true!”

Out of the grenade pops a squadron of V-19 Torrents and a squadron of BTL-B Y-Wings. They speed at the front escort ships, engaging them at high speed and tying them up. That just left the flanks. Black Hawk and Redemption proceed to split up, Black Hawk on the left, Redemption on the right. Prosecutor and Arc Hammer goes left and right respectively.

F4 says, “Textbook strategy.”

“We'll see,” you say.

Black Hawk yells out, “Eat this!” She raises her gun turrets, and fires them away at the escort cruisers. Being much larger than starfighters, obviously they aren't great. Prosecutor however backs her up with a salvo of proton torpedoes. Those immediately blast one of the escort-cruisers and sends the other retreating.

Arc Hammer and Redemption meanwhile, being the much more well-rounded and armed cruisers, blast their targets to bits.

“We're winning, we're winning!” says Black Hawk.

I nominally support this but I wouldn't throw a whole new fleet in. Just spawn 1 cruiser with a small escort of fighters.
>>
Thinking ahead I think it would be prudent to ask Arc if she could refit all the ships with ion cannon banks and replace them with additional turbolasers and point-defense lasers. If the Vong in this are the same or at least follow the same theme as in the EU, ion cannons are dead weight against them. Just a suggestion.
>>

You decide a surprise is in order. F4 looks to you. “What are you doing?”

“Giving them a change of pace.” You order in a small fleet of two heavy cruisers and a carrier plus fighter complement. They suddenly arrive behind the Starship Girls, surprising them. “Look out!” you declare.

“Shabuir!” yells Prosecutor. “Get them! Get them!” The Fleet is suddenly surrounded by a force of toothy, messy, organic fighters. They bite and buzz around the Fleet girls, zapping and stinging at them like a swarm of Space Wasps. Black Hawk is the only one managing to do anything to them, owing to her anti-starfighter capability, but she has drifted away from Prosecutor and the rest of the Fleet, leading her wide open to attack from the remaining Cruisers.

Arc Hammer and Redemption meanwhile are rushed by remaining escort cruisers. They close in, and assault them as they try to ward off the fighters. Redemptions shields are blasted apart, and she quickly goes bingo on hull integrity. “Redemption! Out!”

“Admiral, you're supposed to be leading us!” yells Prosecutor. “What do we do!?”

F4 turns his head to you. “Admiral.”

To be frank, in this situation. Well, this situation never came up because you always hacked the sims to make the enemy cruisers much weaker and less numerous so this never was a problem to you in the first place. Huh.

Prosecutor's hull integrity quickly dips down. “You're out, Prosecutor.” She mopes, floating out of the well. Arc Hammer and Black Hawk make their last stand. But they are quickly taken out by the bomber wings of the fighter complement from the carrier, which stood way in the rear, clear of the fighting.

With that, the simulation ends.

> YUUZHAN VONG MAJOR VICTORY <
> ALL IMPERIAL SHIPS ELIMINATED <

All your Starship Girls mope and moan at having taken nonexistent damage. “Admiral!” Black Hawk pouts a little. “How come you didn't tell us what to do right there? We got slaughtered!”

Well...

It's because you genuinely didn't know what to do in that situation.

You gotta prepare for the worst case scenario. You gotta be on your toes, girls.” You tap your head. “Thinking is half the battle.”

Arc Hammer quirks her brow. “So how would you have won that battle?”

… uh.

“Let's not get into that,” you say. “But for now, we should get into our offensive operations against the Yuuzhan Vong fleets. F4.” He wheels up to you all, then projects a map of the system for all of you to look at. There are several red dots. “Prosecutor, can you brief me?”

“Of course, Admiral.” She walks up, and points to the red dots. “These nodes here represent areas of Yuuzhan Vong activity. They use these areas as staging points to commit raids and invasions against nearby systems with impunity. Assaulting these areas will clear out the node and allow us the systems around us more breathing room.” You nod, right right. “The first node in our way is this one just outside of the system. From there, you can either eliminate just that node, or move on.”

“However,” says Redemption. “The farther one advances into these nodes, the tougher the enemies get. It will be up to you however, Admiral if we advance or not.”

“What are your orders, Admiral? Shall we commit to a larger advance or shall we assault just the first node?” asks Prosecutor.

“We'll see when we get there,” you declare. “Girls, prepare your things. You'll be going up in my personal command ship.”

F4 looks at you. “A piddly little Arquitens is your command ship now?”

“It is until the Empire sends me a Star Destroyer,” you declare. “Now girls.” They all look at you, nervously. It seems you don't inspire a lot of confidence. Oh well! You can always build more maybe. “Let's get out there and win one for the Empire!”

Black Hawk pumps her fist. “Yeah!” She looks around to the others. “... yeah?”

> SOMEWHERE IN DEEP SPACE NEAR DANTOOINE <

Your helmsman relays the situation. “Sir, three escort-class Yuuzhan Vong ships in holding position.” You take a look on the console over his shoulder. “They are in a V-Formation, holding position some kilometers out.”

“Alright,” you say. “Girls. We outnumber them quickly nicely. Same formation, two lines, Prosecutor and Arc Hammer behind, got it?”

“Got it!” says Prosecutor.

“Prosecutor, you'll take lead.”

“Y-... yes, sir!” The girls hang in the front prow of the Arquitens, ready to deploy. Black Hawk especially is itching for the fight, bouncing up and down. “Alright, deploy!” They drop down and speed towards the Yuuzhan Vong ships.

Hmph. Three cruisers? The next node should be an easy fight. Prosecutor again draws a grenade, and throws it. “K'oyacyi!” she yells. The grenade explodes into a flight of V-19 Torrents and BTL-B Y-Wings again. The V-19 torrets slow down one of the cruisers, while the Y-Wings completely outright destroy a second one. Redemption, Arc Hammer, and Black Hawk fire a barrage of turbo laser fire.

The green bolts smack and explode against the screaming cruisers. They open their mouths, crying in pain. “Eat this, you bugs!” yells Black Hawk.

And rather easily, they die.

Ha! That was easy.

> MAJOR VICTORY <

The Starship Girls have lost all anxiety and now celebrate, with Prosecutor bumping elbows with Black Hawk and Redemption. Arc Hammer simply stands behind, quickly seeing if there's anything to loot. “We won, Admiral, we won! We won!” yells Prosecutor. “Parjai!”

“Congrats, girls,” you declare over the comms. “Right then. We're moving on to the next node.”

Prosecutor pumps her fist, grinning. “As you wish, Admiral!” The girls all take formation. Their eyes glow blue, as they line themselves up and prepare for a lightspeed jump.

“Prepare for jump, helmsman.” He nods, calculating the coordinates. Your ship charges up behind them, ready to follow them in.

Your small fleet jumps ahead to the next node. After the sudden stop, you arrive to see a much larger group of six escort-class cruisers. Right, these should go down just as easily as the first. “Engage,” you order. The girls all take the standard formation and zoom on towards them. The flight of V-19s and Y-Wings screens ahead of them, zooming past the incoming turbolaser fire and making a bombing run on one of the cruisers. Again, one is destroyed outright, and another is damaged moderately by the V-19s. You fold your arms, grinning as the girls prepare for their bombardment salvo.

“Fire!” yells Prosecutor. She deploys a salvo of proton torpedoes, backed up by everyone else's turbolaser fire. Their shots paste and almost annihilate the line of escorts. Hmph, your girls are doing quite well! Hehe.

One of the damaged escorts however croaks out, his call rippling through space. Huh. What's he doing?

“What's that one doing?” asks Arc Hammer.

Redemption squints at it, then her eyes widen. “It's calling for help!”

“Sir!” One of the radar men looks back to you. “We're picking up new ships coming in from hyperspace!” What.

Suddenly, a gigantic ship dwarfing your Arquitens pops out.

“IT'S A STAR DESTROYER-CLASS!” screams Arc Hammer.

“Ha! Finally a challenge!” yells Black Hawk.

Uh.

“Admiral!” Prosecutor looks back at you. You look past her to see a flight of fighters and bombers ascending down on your fleet. “Admiral, what do we do!?”

Okay, okay, Admiral. Think, think. How did the poorer students figure out situations like this!? They used their brains! Right, right, think, uh... uh! UH! “Girls! Stay out of its range! Just uh... just return fire when possible, and stay out of its firing range!” You look to your Helmsman. “Helmsman, start the calculations for the jump to lightspeed, get us away before-”

The ship rumbles as it takes a hit. You're nearly thrown to the ground. “We've been hit!” says one of the crewman. You look up out the window to see a giant hole in the front left prow. Damn it! “Damage minimal!”

Okay, okay. Good, you got lucky, you got extremely lucky! Most Arquitens don't survive barrages from ships that size! Your Arquitens starts to peel away along with your Starship girls. Bolts of energy speed and graze past your hull.

Prosecutor flies up, commanding her starfighter squadrons. “Attack! Parjir!” The V-19 Torrents and the Y-Wings go zooming in, but are suddenly meet by a starfighter swarm. Many of the V-19s are torn to pieces, with the Y-Wings torpedo runs made ineffective without fighters to screen them. “No! No!” Prosecutor freezes at the wiping of her squadrons.

“Look out!” Redemption pushes Prosecutor out of the way, and is blasted by a turbolaser bolt. She goes flying out into space.

“Sir!” A crewman on the tactical map calls you. “Redemption has taken a critical hit! She's unconscious!” Oh no!

You bite your cheek. Damn it. Do you want to risk a recovery run or not!? If you try and save her as she floats in space, your ship could be blasted, and that's bye bye! You're way too important for that! You need another ship for this stuff! AGH! WHY IS BEING AN ADMIRAL SO HARD!?

Black Hawk and Arc Hammer immediately fly over to the floating and unconscious Redemption, while Prosecutor flees away from the fight. Black Hawk, to her credit, continues blasting starfighters and bombers out of the stars. You better make sure she knows that she's basically carrying everybody at this moment! “Black Hawk, keep up the pressure on those starfighters!” you call over the radio, trying not to sound like you're panicking.

BUT YOU'RE PANICKING!

“Sir, new ships!” says the radar officer. “Friendlies!”

“Call them now!” you yell. He nods. The comms officer quickly hails the incoming ships. “Who am I speaking to!?”

“This is the Super Star Destroyer Executor, arriving with Star Destroyers Resolute, Chimaera, and Stalker. We are coming to reinforce your position.” Yes, reinforcements! Ha ha!

They arrive out of hyperspace with a bang, Executor the largest of them all deploying a huge wave of TIE Interceptors, Bombers, and Fighters to screen their advance. The Yuuzhan Vong Star Destroyer curves its hull to meet them, diverting its attention away from you and your ship girls.

“Take us around, Helmsman, we're saving my Starship girl.” Your Arquitens curves left to cover up your Starship girls. You arrive at Redemption's location, and open up the docking ports for her. “F4, got meet them, make sure she's okay.”

F4 rolls out of the bridge. “Yes, sir.”

“Take us into supporting fire position, helmsman,” you say. “Let's see if we can take some potshots.” The ship lurches into position, facing frontally with what appears to be the Star Destroyers rear. “Fire!” All guns and both concussion missile launchers fire off their salvos. Despite the impressive firepower and lightshow, it's really just a lightshow from a light cruiser to a Star Destroyer.

The real action was the Starship girls. Executor aims all of her guns down on the Star Destroyer, pelting the organic fleshy construct with turbolaser, lasers, concussion missile, and ion cannons. The Star Destroyer gives off a loud roar through space, like a Starweird crying out for mercy. Star Destroyers Resolute, Chimaera, and Stalker aim along the flanks, pelting the Star Destroyer from multiple angles as their TIE escort wipes out any form of screening protection.

And in several shot minutes, the Star Destroyer explodes into several meaty chunks. Organic technology for you. The crew of your Arquitens bursts into applause and cheer. “Enemy destroyed!” Out of the wreckage however, you see a crystal floating.

A Soul Crystal.

Resolute calls you over the comms. “Take us back to base, Admiral.”

As much as you want to continue wiping the floor with the Yuuzhan Vong with your reinforcements, you decide it best not to argue with the people that Darth Vader might have sent personally. Plus, you do have a Starship girl down, might as well check to see if she can make it.

You have arrived back on Dantooine, and with that arrival, Redemption is quickly shunted away to the Dockyards to recover. You'll talk to your other Starship girls later, right now you're being debriefed by Vader's own girls.

SSD Executor completely towers over you, much like Arc Hammer does, but this time with the sheer size of her uh... powerplants. She folds her arms, looking down on you. “It appears we have bailed you out of a pickle, Admiral. I should wonder what his master Lord Vader would think if he knew what happened to you and your Starship girls, being surprised by that.”

But-

Resolute steps in, adjusting her glasses a bit, folding her arms. “Now, now, Executor. The Admiral is...” She shrugs at you, smirking. “Less than experienced. And he was caught by surprise. There was no tactical information stating that a Star Destroyer was in the area, not helped by the rarity of the Yuuzhan Vong actually calling for reinforcements into a node. I believe this was simply a fluke.”

Executor quirks her brow, then nods slowly. “You are lucky that Resolute speaks well of you. Resolute will join your fleet on Vader's orders. She will be your veteran presence for the new Starship girls here.”

Resolute smiles at you, brushing her short brown hair back behind her Open Circle Fleet hair pins. “It will be a pleasure to work with you, Admiral.” She holds out the Soul Crystal to you, and you take it into your hand. Whoa. It feels so light and yet... You squint at it. It glows brightly and yet, it feels so cool.

Executor nods to you two. “Chimaera, Stalker, and myself shall return to Lord Vader and give our reports. Resolute.” The two of them salute at each other. And with that, Vader's girls leave you.

Resolute smiles at you. “Like I said, Admiral. It will be a pleasure to work with you.” You look down her curvy hips, the opened dress and cardigan trimmed by the red of the Open Circle Fleet with windows to expose the skin of her hips, and the white thigh highs as well capped by armor plating. And those breasts, oh dear lord. “It is quite the antiquated outpost you have here, will you not show me around?”

Uh...

“Redemption.” She lies back in her little bath tub along the wall. Due to the cloud of kolto and bacta and the general glow of the water, you cant' really see anything beyond a general silhouette of her naked body. Disappointing but you suppose it's a way of keeping her modesty in front of her superior and colleague. She smiles at you, brushing her wet hair back. “How are things? You gonna recover quickly?”

She points up to the timer, showing it ticking down.

… 30 minutes? Huh. That's actually not too bad. Resolute comforts her a bit. “I daresay, that's not so bad, Redemption. I believe that you get off easy starting out like new. Unlike me with my vast experience, I unfortunately cannot make many mistakes otherwise I can spend quite a lot of time in here.”

Redemption sighs. “Do not worry yourselves. As long as Prosecutor is okay, I am doing well.” She places a hand on her heart. “You see, I try to take care of those who cannot take care of themselves. I have this feeling of needing to heal the hearts and bodies of those that need it most.” That's fair you suppose. And quite admirable. Not something you'd aspire to honestly but still, admirable. “Resolute, will you be joining us?”

“I am,” says Resolute. “Vader sent me to observe and be a veteran presence.”

“Observe?” you ask. “Observe what?”

“You.” She pokes her finger into your chest, smirking. “And in turn, perhaps you can observe me as I fight, Admiral, and be in awe of it.” She places her hands on her hips, quirking her brow. “Hm? Do you see something you like?”

You see a pair of things that you're in awe of. Those purposefully sized breasts. They're not too big, not too small, just right for a girl her size while still being quite full. Goodness sake, the round contours of it as her dress hugs them. And without they bounce, good God, do they bounce.

And yet, even without the lack of support from a bra, they're so perky. They don't droop, there's no slack in them. It's as if they were just were youthful funbags. And you can only imagine what it must feel like to grab them, to squeeze them. It must feel like bags of sand.

And even in the humid air of the bathhouse, you could see some moisture collecting on the exposed skin. The water runs down the soft skin of her breasts, further silhouetting them against her body. Her skin shines just a smidge, a bit of youthful tightness and fairness to her appearance. You had to wonder if Resolute could feel the water collecting in her cleavage. Maybe she doesn't mind it, because the V between those breasts was making itself quite prominent.

And you had to imagine those nipples. Perhaps they aren't standing up thanks to the heat. But oh, how stiff they could be. Like switches on a computer. To think, maybe by the looks of the light blush on her face and the small smirk, maybe they were already erect. The hardness contrasting with the soft pliability of her tits.

And lastly, just the way they were against the proportions of her body. They were like bubbles, perfectly made for Resolute. And the way the breasts heaved as she breathed in and out. You were running out of good things to say about those breasts, except they were like the Force's gift to this world, a beautiful sight for all to behold. And the way Resolute presented them with that opened dress, opened all the way from neckline to belt, made them just that much more terrific.

Goodness.

“Admiral?” Huh? What. “You were staring at me for five minutes, is something the matter?”

“Oh, no, no, no.” You shake your head. “Just uh... I'm fine. I'm alright.”

Resolute smiles. “My, my! Well, perhaps I shall leave you with Redemption and retire for the day. It may be nice to see my little sister, Prosecutor actually.” She salutes you. “Sir.” And with that, she turns and leaves. And good God does she leave.

Redemption smiles up at you. “The human male instinct is something I know very well, Admiral.” Uh. Sorry? “I enjoy the works of medical journals, learning the subtleties of interaction. Hehe.”

“Look, I was just admiring a fine built piece of Imperial engineering, okay?” you say.

Redemption quirks her brow. “Venators were built by the Republic.”

“Which turned into the Empire, don't pull semantics on me.”

Redemption sighs. “You are a very interesting Admiral.” Good grief.

Well. Being in charge of a Fleet of Starship girls. Very different from what you imagined.

“Sir.” F4 rolls over to your desk as you sit back and relax, looking out the window on a nice calm Dantooine morning. Still as boring as the day you arrived. “Sir.”

“What, F4?” What does this metal rustbucket want with you now?

“Sir. Perhaps you should be taking this time to organize training for your Starship girls, something that will keep them on their toes. Or perhaps you could take this time to actually learn a little bit about naval strategy.” You glance at him. What, be productive? As if. “Just thought I would let you know.”

“Opinion noted,” you say. “But if you think the Empire cares about what say... Clones or Droids think, you're out of luck, F4.” He tilts himself forward then back, a roll of the eyes. “Besides, F4. Look out the window here.” He turns his head. “They've already got it covered.”

Out there, you can see Resolute, Redemption, and Black Hawk in white short sleeve shirts and black form hugging shorts. They do stretching exercises, limbering up their toned arms and legs, pushing themselves up and down off the ground, flexing their bodies. Goodness what a view. “I can see why you'd want to take a hands off approach, sir.”

“Oh, believe me, if it were up to me, I'd be as hands on as possible.” You flex your fingers, smirking at him.

“Sir, might I remind you of the fraternization policies.” You roll your eyes. Oh great. This again. “If you're found to be in an illicit relationship, you could be punished severely. The minimum sentence, if you're lucky, could be ten to fifteen lashes. If Lord Vader finds out you turned this base into your private brothel and not a proper military installation, he'll have your lungs crushed tighter than a ship going through an exploded star cluster, and-...” F4 is quiet for a second. “Why am I advising you against this?”

“Because you're stupid,” you say bluntly. It's true you know. “Besides, I'm not going to jump into it right away.” You pull on your collar a bit, continuing to smirk at him. “These things require a patient touch. You have to kill them with kindness. Play the long con, study their art forms. You know?”

“Sometimes I wish you'd just scrap me.”

“Don't tempt me.”

There's a knock at the door. “Come in,” you say. The door slides open, and in steps in your Secretary ship, Prosecutor. “Prosector, what-” She wears a pink apron over her usual uniform, and carries a tray of... rather spicy smelling food. Huh, burns at the nose a bit. What is that? “What's this?”

Prosecutor clears her throat, a light blush on her face. “Well, as your Secretary ship sir, Big Sis Resolute told me that I should consider cooking you a homemade breakfast!” Oh? You smile a little. Wow! You've never had a homecooked meal before. Well, the cooks back home were usually quite good, they were paid to be good though. This-... wow! She places the tray on your desk. It appears to be some sort of casserole with a healthy amount of pepper and spices dabbed onto it with a side of meiloorun slices and a glass of blue milk as well. Oh ho ho!

“Thank you, Prosecutor.” You can't help but laugh a little as you take your fork and knife. “This is very thoughtful of you.” She nods, hopeful that you'll enjoy it. Oh, you bet. This looks delicious! You take a slice of it, then pop it into your mouth.

You slowly turn your head. “Um. Prosecutor.” She blinks, now suddenly worried. “Wh-... what is this dish?”

“It's tiingilar, a casserole in the Mandalorian cuisine. I have read that the Mandalorians only eat food that fights back, hence why most of their foods have a dash of spice to them. Is it too mild?”

TOO MILD!? EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE.

You glance at F4. Even that cold steel dome is telling you he's enjoying every second of this. You look at Prosecutor again, who appears to be very worried that you're not enjoying this.

“Of course, Admiral!” She smiles happily. “Oh! Uh...” She quickly hurries out of the room, probably to her desk outside of your office. Fair enough, maybe she has something for you to report on. She comes back with a holopad, presenting the situation as it poses itself today. You meanwhile quickly ration out a bit of blue milk into your mouth to try and ease your tongue. “So, Admiral, today tactical recon just came back.”

“What did they say?” you ask.

“They say the Star Destroyer-class YV ship we saw yesterday was the only one in the system, thankfully. However, the other nodes do feature tougher and more numerous ships, mostly up to the heavy cruiser line,” she explains. “Also, Arc Hammer is awaiting your go on developing the Soul Crystal we picked up yesterday.” Right, right. “Finally, Redemption has also recovered and is ready for combat sortie.”

“Alright.” She looks at your plate, then back at you. Ugh. You slice up more of the casserole, then pack it into your mouth. Damn it. “Well, thank you, Prosecutor.”

You leave F4 in your office and take Prosecutor to see Arc Hammer at the Factory. Prosecutor hides behind you, frightened at all of the piles of scrap just lying around. She yelps, jumping onto you when a mouse droid scurries by. “Prosecutor.” She drops off, now suddenly embarrassed. “Arc Hammer?”

Arc Hammer rises out of a scrap pile, looking at you. She dusts off some debris and rubble off of her shoulders. “Sir.”

“Where's the Soul Crystal?” She tilts her head a bit. “Can we build us a big Starship girl out of it? Preferably a Super Star Destroyer of some kind? Not that you're not one, but you know, I'd like one to anchor our fleet around. Give us something for the girls to rally behind.”

Arc Hammer blinks, then says quietly, “That isn't how this works.” Oh? She motions you to follow her deeper into the factory. Conveyor belts and racks carrying droid husks rule this area, and further make Prosecutor shiver and cower in fright. The three of you arrive at a large person sized capsule, almost like a bacta tank. She pulls up a keypad and types up a code. “The Soul Crystal you retrieved is a standard crystal.” The tank opens, revealing the Crystal floating in an energy field, glowing even more brightly. “Unfortunately, that means it's entirely random as to what ship it may or may not be.”

“Oh.” You fold your arms. “So... it could be anything.”

“Except a Star Destroyer. A larger Soul Crystal will yield a much more bigger ship so to speak,” says Arc Hammer calmly. “I can begin the construction procedures, it will only take a minute.”

Prosecutor pokes her head out from behind you. “I-... is it going to be an Imperial ship?”

“We don't know,” says Arc Hammer. “It could even be a Munificent-class.” Prosecutor shudders, continuing to hide behind you. “But rest assured, from this Crystal, we won't see a Lucrehulk or a Liberty type. Admiral.” You look to her. “Shall I begin?”

>>
> “Go ahead.”

“Go ahead,” you declare. You fold your arms. “Let's see who we get.”

Arc Hammer activates the device. The tank shuts, and a bright glow emits from the crack between the two doors. You hear a loud humming noise emanate as Arc Hammer pulls down her red goggles and continues to glance over the holopad indicating what is going on in there. “Stand by,” says Arc Hammer. Prosecutor continues to glance at the tank.

Whatever is going on in there, it must be huge.

The bright light glows brighter, and brighter, until you're almost blinded by it.

“Construction... complete.” The light shuts off. A mist shoots out from between the two doors as it opens up. You, Prosecutor, and Arc Hammer look in.

And see a very small girl. Her boots bear large engines on them, along with a backpack mounted thruster as well. Her sailor dress is white with red trim, with the emblem of the Open Circle Fleet upon it, and on her arms gauntlets equipped with twin laser cannons. “Arc Hammer?” She is curled up in the fetal position, apparently asleep.

“This is...” Arc Hammer blinks a bit. “This is an Arquitens light cruiser.” Wait. What? “Just like yours, sir. Oh. That's... anti-climactic. You were hoping for something to shake the status quo like a carrier of some sort. You kneel down by the girl. “Her name is Tellstar.”

She opens her eyes slowly, groaning a little. She takes a breath, probably her first breath as a living being.

> TELLSTAR <
> Arquitens Light Cruiser <

She looks at you with bright blue eyes, and brushes back her short and messy blonde hair. “Who are you?”

“I'm your superior officer,” you say bluntly. “You must be Tellstar.” She looks down at herself, then stands up. She looks at herself more thoroughly, even lifting her admittedly small dress up a bit to see what's going on. “Tellstar, you're a Starship girl. And you serve the Empire now, you understand that?”

She blinks, standing up. “...” She walks over to Prosecutor who steps back nervously. “... I know you!” Tellstar gasps. “You're the RAS Prosecutor!”

Prosecutor smiles nervously. “Y- yes I am.” She bows lightly to Tellstar, who is obviously quite younger by the looks of things. Prosecutor, you're embarrassing yourself. “It's nice to meet you Tellstar.”

“Wow!” Tellstar looks around. “So- so I get a second chance!?” You nod. “Wow! Wow!” She walks forward. “So this means I-” She immediately slams her face against a pipe coming from the wall. “Uguhu!” She kneels down, in pain. Prosecutor immediately comes down to help her and comfort her. “Eaauughh...”

Arc Hammer says, “They take some time to adjust. If you want, Admiral. We can discuss modifications, equipment, and remodeling if you so desire.”

“Alright, we can do that. Prosecutor.” She looks over at you. “Can you take care of Tellstar until I get back?”

She nods. “Of course, Admiral!” She looks back at a whining and whimpering Tellstar. “Are you okay? It's okay!” Prosecutor pets Tellstar on the head, nursing the bruise on her nose a bit. “It's okay, it doesn't feel too bad. I can get Redemption to fix you really quick, Tellstar.”

“M'kay.” Tellstar sniffles a bit, rubbing a tear out of her eye. “I'm sorry.” She starts to stand up. “I just have very poor situation aware-” She slams her face back into the pipe again. “Uugguhu!” She whimpers again, holding her face. Prosecutor hugs Tellstar, patting her on the back and petting her on the head.

Poor kid.

You meet with Arc Hammer at one of her worktables, where several mice droids and fairies are busy constructing something for her. “Admiral, a good fleet requires an Admiral who understands that ships cannot remain the same throughout a war. Things change, develop, adapt. Do you understand?” She looks at you sternly with her one eye, the other still covered by her bangs.

“Do I understand? I'm your Admiral!” What does she think she is? Just because she has legs for days doesn't mean she can just push you around!

“Unfortunately,” says Arc Hammer. “But, let's move on.” You huff. “The resources we have here have been gathering dust since we were stationed here. We've been waiting for a Commanding Officer for quite some time,” she explains. “However, all of these resources are eventually eaten up by the grind of combat sorties. And our little ones here...” The small fairies look up at you, then salute. Little buggers. “They help me fix everything, or build things if need be.”

“Right,” you say. “So what can we do?”

“I can build equipment that girls can use in combat such as TIE squadrons or additional guns or tractor beams. And I can even remodel them to further enhance their combat prowess. Right now however, I have calculated that I currently do not have resources to remodel any ships. But I do have the resources to build an item that one of them can use,” she says.

“How do we get more resources?” you ask.

“We salvage what we can from Yuuzhan Vong ships, other than that, salvage trips through the galaxy. Beyond that, the Empire's logistics chain sends us more,” she explains. “If you wish to save up for a remodel, that's fine. Or you can build an item for one of the girls to use. I would recommend it. It is your call.”

>>

We need turbolasers for ship-to-ship combat, Black Hawk already mows down fighters like nobody's business.

However, if it were a squadron of bombers I wouldn't object.

Wait, we're jumping straight into TIE Fighters?

What about the Z-95s, the ARC-170s. R-22 Spearheads, The Vo-Wings?
>>
>>691245
>>691266
Building a squadron doesn't upgrade or replace the existing squadron, but it does take the form of the squadron the ship would've had at its heyday. For example, giving the squadron to Prosecutor would give her an additional complement of V-19 Torrents or Y-Wings (generally up to her or to you as to what she needs at the time).

To upgrade existing fighters would require a separate modification branch (which Arc Hammer will have resources for another time), or remodeling the ship.
>>
>>691287
If a squadron gets destroyed do we need to expend resources to build one again?
>>
>>691297
Nope, the squadrons are replenished after a sortie (though, losing entire squadrons is not good for a Ship girl's morale).
>>
>>691304
another squadron still may not hurt at all.
>>
>>691287

BTL-Y Wings or V-19 Torrents?

I prefer getting more Y-Wings since they were also considers as heavy fighters.
>>
>>691334
I can agree with more Y wings, i like fighter/bomber types.
>>
>>691334
The upgrade chain for Clone Wars era ships is as follows:

> V-19 TORRENT - ARC-170 - < Z-95 HEADHUNTER / V-WING > TIE FIGHTER

Then

> BTL-B Y-WING - <BTL-A4 Y-WING / TIE BOMBER

Remodeling a ship will skip the process of having to modify the squadrons she carries.

“Build us a fighter squadron.”

Arc Hammer nods, saluting you. “As you wish, sir.” She snaps her fingers, and immediately several fairies come around onto the workshop table. They drag over some durasteel parts, some crystal fragments, and a lot of other ingredients. And pretty soon, Arc Hammer helps them assemble a new squadron grenade. “This grenade will configure itself to whichever Starship girl uses it. I suggest you take care in who you issue it to.”

“Can I issue it to just anybody?” you ask.

“No. Black Hawk is not configured to carry Starfighters, and Redemption and Tellstar will require remodeling before they can as well,” Arc Hammer explains. “Other than that, you are free to distribute that squadron as you please. Just make sure it goes to the right person.”

“Thank you, Arc Hammer.” You fold your arms, smiling at her. “You are as dutiful as you are attractive.” She mockingly dry heaves at you. “Just saying.”

Speaking of what armament does each ship have exactly?
>>
>>691398
1. I decided to skip to the S4 because that was the recognizable movie Y-Wing. Sorry, S3.

2. Rare drops.

3. The ARC-170 is slower than the V-Wing and the Z-95 IIRC. The V-Wing and the Z-95 are also much closer to their modern day counterparts (The TIE Fighter and the X-Wing respectively) than the ARC-170 (which itself is a predecessor to the X-Wing).

4. It's mostly preference based on if you remodeled the ship or not. Open Circle Fleet ships that get remodeled turn into modernized Imperial ships. OCF will prefer the Z-95, Imperial Fleet will prefer the V-Wing.

5. There's a possibility. There's even already a Lucrehulk and a Munificent in service with another Admiral.
>>
>>691435
1. No S3, REEEE!

JK, Though a little saddening the bomber line has little love.

Will we have other Rare Drops like the Naboo Fighter, or R-22 Spearhead?

3. Ah, I see. I thought the ARC-170 was good due to it being a Heavy Fighter/Bomber depending on armament. I htink it had a rear gun iirc.

Also what are stuff like the Clone Gunship be categorized?

Also is there stuff for ground machines?

A lot of unaffiliated stuff like the N-1, the R-22 (and most other rebel starfighters) are rare drops, owing to the fact that Rebel Alliance doesn't really exist as an entity anymore. Even their ships are rare drops.

The gunship and other ground stuff are saved for boarding action.

Ground troops don't follow a particular tech line and are upgraded automatically on remodeling.

Notably however, Prosecutor and Resolute (owing to having historically been the home of Obi-Wan's 212th Battalion and Anakin's 501st Legion and with Prosecutor having been the home to a squad of Clone Commandos) have access to very elite ground troops (however, Prosecutor needs to be remodeled first to be able to use them).

“Ah, we'll decide that later,” you say. You pocket the squadron, leaning on the table and smirking at Arc Hammer. “So, tell me about yourself, Arc Hammer. Are you 100%? Perhaps you need a bath in the Dockyards or something? I can facilitate that.”

“Thanks, but no thanks,” she says. “I hate the Dockyards, and I hate being sent into combat. I much prefer staying here in the Factory with my fairies. While I am combat capable, I have very little love for actual fighting.” She folds her arms, shutting her eyes at the thought of it. “I have a very intense fear of being boarded by the Yuuzhan Vong. Something about that fear is all too familiar to me for whatever reason. The fear of being blown up from the inside.” She shudders.

You shrug. “Oh, well, it's just nerves perhaps. Don't worry.”

“Perhaps,” says Arc Hammer. “But I still would prefer to remain out of combat. I am a Factory ship, not a warship. I defeat the enemy with the use of well-engineered machines, not with the use of turbolasers or concussion missiles.”

You nod slowly. “Right. Okay, well-”

F4 rolls into the Factory. “Sir. Resolute is requesting your presence. She wishes for you to help oversee the girl's latest training session for the day.”

Prosecutor, Tellstar, Black Hawk, and Redemption all run around in circles in apparently disarray. They keep getting stung and buzzed by little simulation fighters, which only Black Hawk is having any kind of success at owing to being a Lancer-class. But the others seem a bit, disorganized. “OW, OW, OW!” yells Tellstar. “Get them off! I can't see!” She immediately slams into Redemption's generous chest, then immediately falls over.

“Oh, my, my,” says Redemption. “I'm sorry, Tellstar. You need to look where you're going though.” Tellstar's eyes swirl around in her head, dazed and confused.

“As you can see.” You stand atop the control with F4 and Resolute. “They have trouble warding off starfighters. Except for Black Hawk. In fact, the minute they are swarmed by starfighters, they seem to lose most control of the situation at hand in an attempt to preserve themselves.” She sighs, watching as Prosecutor runs over Tellstar by mistake and slams into Black Hawk. They spin around, slamming into walls and crashing into each other. “My, my, such youth.”

“So?” you ask. “Train them to be better then,” you say. “Simple.”

Resolute quirks her brow. “I thought this was your department.”

“Well, you're the veteran, aren't you?” You give her a stern look. “Do veteran things!”

You decide discretion is the better part of your reputation. “I admit. I haven't much experience when it comes to naval strategy.”

Resolute nods. “I see. So you are one of those REMs I hear so much about.” You what? You are not a rear echelon monkey! “That's fine, I can forgive that, Admiral. In fact, perhaps this may be a learning experience for you. But do not forget that we are still people here. We are relying on you to keep us alive, do you understand.”

“Oh, definitely.” You nod at that, smiling at her.

She very skeptically quirks her brow, then rolls her eyes. “Very well. I suppose I cannot crack that thick noggin of yours today it seems. “Now, take our first situation. When fighters reach past our screen and come towards the girls, they start to panic and this results in loss of formation. They'll be easy prey for even the escort sized ships. You understand that?”

“Right.” You place your hands on your hips, thinking on it. So, how do you stop the loss of formation? “How do we stop this?”

“You're the Admiral, you tell me,” you say.

“But-” Resolute very sternly places her hands on those hips of hers and glares at you from behind those glasses. Ah, okay. She's not joking. “Well, Black Hawk seems to be good at taking down fighters.”

“Yes...?” Resolute expectantly looks at you.

“... you want me to make Black Hawk the flag ship?” you ask.

“Oh for-” Resolute stops herself, rubbing her face in her palm. “No. Black Hawk hasn't the right stuff to be a flag ship. But she is important to the formation considering her anti-starfighter capability. Yes?” You nod. “Okay. So?”

“... I don't see another solution,” you say.

“How exactly did you graduate?” she asks.

“Ah, ah, let's not concern ourselves with the past.” You step past her. You can be menacingly intelligent too when you want to be. “We must concern ourselves with the future, Resolute. And the future is now!” You pump your fist. “And now is the time for all of us to learn how to manage naval combat! And the first thing I want is Black Hawk to take central position in the formation where she can easily cover all points in the formation and cover any of my ships if need be!”

Resolute blinks in surprise. “Okay. I see.”

“Right, you get what I mean?” you say. She nods. “Great! Now you see what an intelligent mind I can bring out when push comes to shove.”

F4 says, “That's not saying much compared to how he usually is.” He kick F4, knocking him over. “Ow.”

“Black Hawk, we're going to restart the simulation.” Everyone looks up at the control room. “You're going to take the center position, with the other girls providing you fire support. Do not stray from formation, you got that?”

Black Hawk salutes, grinning madly. “Crystal!”

“Alright.” F4 starts up the same sim program, a swarm of fighters and bombers with a few carriers. This time, everyone starts to circle around Black Hawk, and this time sshe takes advantage of superior speed and firepower. Here, she projects a wall of laser fire to ward and otherwise snipe away enemy fighters. They pop like nuts underneath a boot as soon as they're hit. And this means the fighters are forced to circle around and only make occasional probing strikes.

And that leaves room for Redemption and Prosecutor to work. “Prosecutor! Proton torpedoes!”

Prosecutor nods. She aims down her torpedo launchers at the enemy carriers. “Oya!” she yells. The red torpedoes shoot out of her launchers, and slam into the sim carriers. They burst into flames, now stunned and heavily crippled. Redemption follows up with a barrage of turbolaser fire to finish them off. And without their carriers to support them, the fighters and bombers retreat and run away.

You snap your finger, looking at a very skeptical Resolute. “You see!” You smugly boast to her. “That is how a good Admiral manages a fleet!” She quirks her brow. “What?”

“Woohoo!” Black Hawk jumps for joy. “I did it! I did it! Black Hawk is the best! No fighter can defeat me! Nobody!” She fires off a few victory shots from her guns, happily speeding around the Well. Prosecutor and Redemption help up a still dizzy and dazed Tellstar.

You walk up to Redemption and Tellstar. “Is she going to be okay?”

Redemption says, “The poor girl has no concept of situational awareness I'm afraid. Which means she's not very good at finding her way around or spotting enemies.” Oh, yeah, that's going to be a problem. A very big problem if it comes down to it in a combat sortie and she's the only one left. And goodness if she accidentally fires on a friendly ship. “I'm sure we can fix it though.”

Tellstar pops her head out of Redemption's chest. “Don't worry, Admiral!” She quickly slaps her way out of Redemption's grip, then comes over to you and salutes you. “I promise, I will make myself a better ship like my big sister, Prosecutor!”

Prosecutor blinks. “Wait, b- big sister?”

“Yes!” Tellstar looks at Prosecutor. “I am a light cruiser to your assault ship! In fact, it shall by my duty to learn to one day be your escort, big sis!” Tellstar salutes Prosecutor. Prosecutor blushes, immediately moved by Tellstar's proclamation. Even you have to admire the little girl's heart. “Until that day, I shall learn with all my heart!” She steps forward. “And I-” She trips forward on a jutting cube from the Well's floor. “YAAH!” She reaches out and snatches Prosecutor's skirt, pulling it down. “OW!”

“AAGH! TELLSTAR!” Prosecutor immediately covers herself. But it's too late. You've seen everything. “Ah! Why does this happen to me!?” She immediately runs away.

I look forward to getting into the action with the new girls and showing them how a Star Destroyer fights. You...” She pokes her finger on your chest, which makes you look down. She immediately flicks her finger up, smacking your nose. “You just make sure that you do not needlessly risk our lives in pursuit of glory or prestige.”

“Right.” You squint at her. “Duly noted, Resolute.”

She nods. “Admiral.” And with that, she walks away. You and F4 continue to stare at her as she leaves. Hate to see her go. Love to watch her leave.

F4 swivels his dome to you. “She's right you know. You have no idea what you're doing.”

You hold up a finger. “There's a saying that my father told me when I first became an Imperial cadet. If you're doing something wrong, do it so wrong that other people will think you're right. Rest assured, F4. I will be vindicated, and these Starship girls will just be mere footnotes, perhaps a... a mention under 'spouses', yes?”

F4 stares at you. “You're a bad human, Admiral.”

You smirk a little. “Well, nobody ever won a war by being good.”

That's it for Star Wars: Kuat Collection. Honestly not sure when I'll run this again mostly because I ran it purely for the 10$ bet but I'll see how I can schedule things to start running this more frequently. Look for an update on my twitter.

Tomorrow will be Starship Idols leading us into the weekend.

Thanks for running Schteel!
>>

I hope to see more, i want to upgrade our starship tree.

Also seduce the Starships!
>>
>>692528
Thanks for the silly fun, boss.
>>
>>692528
BTW I know the Resolute has ties but what variant?

Also what is its Bomber type?
>>
>>692585
She has a squadron of plain TIE Fighters, and two squadrons of ARC-170s. And a squadron of BTL-B Y-Wings.
>>
>>692594
How do the refits work or upgrading the actual shipgirls?

Is there a tree?
>>
>>692615
I'll explain all this another time because I have to sleep. Sorry anon

Let's take this time to discuss the best Star Wars ships.

There's something that's really comfy about the Venator, I dunno. All the main Imperial stuff (Acclamator, Victory, ISD) is super solid though.

Starfighters, on the other hand...
>>

I love the Venator!

I also like the Aquitens design.

Too bad the rebel ships dont look sexy even though our rebel ship looks hot.

True, they had better starfighters.

I want to like the T.I.Es but (especially the early models) are kind of crap because no shields, and no hyperdrive.

>no shields, and no hyperdrive
To me at least, that gives the job of a TIE Fighter pilot a certain sort of romanticism to it, the kind of romanticism you get for the 40k Imperial Guard; no shields, no hyperdrive, no life support, sent out to die by the dozens, but by God they'll get the job done regardless
>>
>>693134
or get mowed down like wheat.
>>
>>693134
Honestly, what's the use in having hyperdrive for a starfighter? The only reason rebels have them is because they can't really afford capital ships and the like to carry swarms of fighters.

Aye, but that just makes the actual successes all the sweeter.

>>693166
Presumably it allows you to individually jump to friendly lines if the battle is lost, and you can, for instance, deploy fighters from a carrier then have the carrier jump away and the fighters jump into a battle.
>>
>>693168
Or die that much quicker. I don't mind not getting the hyperdrive but at least give me fucking life support for that bloody death trap. or shield

You don't even need life support man, you're already wearing the space suit. Don't need to fear depressurization when the cabin's already depressurized.

And shields are for people who don't have several dozen other pilots watching their back. If the Empire trains its pilots competently at least.
>>
>>693181
and you know most of their pilots are shit.

The T.I.E. was only made because it was CHEAP AND SIMPLE (at least the early models)
>>
>>693183
Never said otherwise, I just said it was a 40k Imperial Guard-esque romanticism, the kind that makes their minion underdoggedness admirable in the face of narrative heroes with plot armor

I've liked the Gladiator ever since Droids. Despite having that giant Torpedos-Go-Here forward bay.

That, the Acclamator and the Y-wing. They all just look so cool to me. They aren't pretty, but they're gonna get shit done.
>>
Sorry that i'm making a post not playing your quest but.
Whats your combat system? if you have one
I want to make a sci fi quest with fighting but I don't have a system yet.
>>
>>694893
He doesn't have one.

He just writes out the outcome of our decision.

like dogfighting or naval combat or just
normal fighting
>>

normal fighting with laser guns

i'll add that my quest has pre set options. My last quest was too game like so i'm using pre set options to make my current one more story like.
