Once we are all at the table, it feels so warm and nice. All of our beloved sweethearts, friends and family with us... it feels really nice, you know?

Even if we have to admonish Stella to stop hogging up the honey... I swear, she's a wolf, right? Sometimes, I'd swear she's a bear cub rather than a puppy...

But she looks super cute with honey on her cheek, so we can't really get angry at her, and just wipe it off with a handkerchief.

It would be nice if these times would continue forever... well, once we are done with breakfast, its time for everyone to go back to their regular daily lives. Good thing it is a weekend, so the kids will have two days to get used to the schedule at home again.

Once everyone is up and about, we have breakfast together, enjoy a nice slow morning, and shortly after lunch most of our guests start going back to their schedules.

Well, its because of the time difference. If we went back home now, in most cases it would be still several hours before dawn.

Well, the exception are the imperial twins, of course. Mako stayed with us for lunch, but Ren had to go back early because of her royal duties.

After we sent the rest home, we left together with her towards Mantequira so we could do some work and check how things are at the office.

By the way, we took Aritsu with us and Mako, but Lyann and Kya didn't tag along today. Kya had to check on the orphanage children after leaving them alone for a day, and it would be better to have extra help at home during the weekend since all our siblings would be there at the same time.

Plus our cute pets, since it was a rest day and there was no reason to keep them in the menagerie when they could be playing and socializing instead.

I guess she doesn't always dresses in the showy dresses Ren prepares for her (for our benefit), after all. This looks like a very imperial officer-like dress.

Yup, it rather suits our workaholic assistant. Well, of course, we do appreciate the sight when she's wearing that showy dress, too...

Its alright if she wears something like this to work... honestly it looks a bit stiff... I wonder if she's comfortable with it? Her usual one shows a lot of skin, but thinking about it, it certainly looks like it would be comfortable to move around in, while this one looks quite stiff... well, whatever she's comfortable with its okay, I think.

The attack is launching in two weeks, and even in-character Eldric should have realized that the turbine engines that the Alquian ships now have will let them outrun and outmaneuver our ships.

Then there's the out-of-character knowledge where we saw that the Alquian battleships have actual naval cannons on turrets and hull plating, three things we lack.

No, we don't.
This is a unilateral action being taken by the Heavenly Empire to reclaim breakaway colonies, because the Alquian Empire is a threat to the Northern Coalition and their attack on Mako requires a response from the Empire.
We also require their military technology and industrial capacity to aid in the effort against the ERRORs, and this course of action is the fastest way to do it.

Finally, Okaba and Asmund are deep into the Lightning Ballista project and analyzing the defensive stonework of the Lightbringer Keep, and they cannot be distracted from these projects.

We help Yin and then Aritsu to climb unto a rickshaw, then sit next to the elf princess for the ride.

Yin, as previously stated, is wearing her old uniform, while Aritsu is wearing a light but long white dress with thin straps, which leaves her shoulders and neck exposed, together with wooden sandals with quite the thick soles... I wonder if she's worried about her height.

"On the way back, we should probably go to your house here, president." -she says while holding our arm.
"Of course."

We lean in ang give the princess a kiss, then place our hand on hers and enjoy the ride to the docks.

The day is quite bright and sunny. It's a nice spring day, though in this world the calendar says its the beginning of the fire cycle instead.

The shipyard security is quite good, and after proving our identity, we're let in and descend from the rickshaw with our lovely assistants.

You know what? I remembered that we had come back with Mako. Lets assume she also came along in the rickshaw because i had this vision of her coming into the office and saying "here's a plate of fresh cookies" to find we left her behind and going "aww"

We prepare a bath of ground for the platform, and make sure its out of the way, yet close to the guard station.

Well, the expert is Okaba, so we'll need to borrow his notes on the subject. Actually Lyann has studied about it quite a while too, but neither of them is here right now.

For now, let's measure the place and order rocks enough to buuld the platform.

Could we use scaled down rock-it arrays to make hover sleds to make moving ship parts around the shipyards and through the teleport platforms easier?

Also we should be looking into improvements to the rock-it array itself, and acquiring a working Alquian turbine to reverse-engineer.

Maybe we can ask Shadows to infiltrate and photograph an Alquian merchant ship.
Or do it ourselves in order to get an understanding of the magic behind it.

Even more important is to find a way to magically enchant an item to get rid of our need to sleep. We should be power-leveling, seriously studying (since we coasted through our classes and had our fiancées write up our doctoral thesis), researching, and negotiating, when we're not actively leading military campaigns as one of the upper tier nobles (since we're still scrub-tier compared to our family nanny, majordomo, and grandpa, and our little sisters are close to becoming higher level than us).

This is pretty much the way it (rockit technology) has been adopted in Alquia, since they failed to gain height with their rockit arrays, but instead managed to create arrays that can hold and uplift truly truly outrageous weights a few dozen feet off the ground. They were able to craft floating bunkers and fortifications that cannot raise too far off the ground. Effectively, making them into hovertanks and dry land dreadnoughts.

When the advanced alquian rock-it generators became reality in the later stages of rock-it research, Alquian military specialists began to dream large. They dreamed of mounting entire battle station on top of rock-it thrusters, and moving it out to the field. They dreamed of making this battle station the rallying points of their armies, flagstones that inspire awe in friends and fear in foes. Thus the Tsun's Might was born.

This mobile fortress cannot be described in small words, because everything in it is big. Its advanced rocl-it boosters carry kilotonnes of weight, metal, weapon systems, health stations, amunition depots, communication equipment and even food storages. From it, a general can command the entire army. It is capable of withstanding the simultaneous strike of Alquia's capital mana batteries, while at the same time reducing enemy fortifications to mangled metal and reddish pulp of vaporized stone with a single volley of its own, enormous mana cannons.

Of course, such qualities don't come cheaply. Imperial researchers needed to justify to the nobles and senators the expenditure needed to build this mobile fortress; they planned for it years in advance and concentrated the resources of the entire empire on it. Perhaps this scope of responsibility spawned the initial idea to turn the Tsun's Might into something more than a huge battlestation: to turn it into a symbol of hope, a tribute to the peaceful might of the imperial bloodline. For this reason, the Tsun's Might carries, enshrined on several spots of its hull, several First Night Relics. It can be something small - a hairbrush or a piece of dress that belonged to one of the ancient empresses. Perhaps even a single strand of black hair, but nevertheless this Relic is (to the Alquian heart), more valuable than the entire weight of the station in gold. Because it inspires not only the crew of the vessel itself, but also the entire army fighting beside it; the entire empire that spent so many resources to build it. We can't know, of course, what the people that work on this battlestation really think, or feel; but we can see how they behave with their fellows - with magnanimity, noblesse, responsibility; they resemble knights that knelt before their ruler or role model, and took solemn oaths to defend them, their honor, and to work for the good of the Imperial Legacy.

I think a movile fortress is pretty important. It has supplies, and offers the troops a safe spot to rest even right after coming back from the battlefield.

Of course, it has really good armor and a capital ship weapon, but its not a weapon delivery system, its still mostly a mobile HQ
