It was a sad moment when you said goodbye to Astrid. She left back to France leaving you alone with riddles in the dark about Death.

Finally these endless days end and you say goodbye to your parents. You have studied a bit, less than your usual self but that's normal considering this was the first time you hosted a foreign friend. You didn't practice Quidditch, but for sure Captain Anthony would understand...he must surely think it is acceptable not to fly during blizzards.

You arrived a little early to the Express and let yourself into the train. You sit in one of the compartments and let Cordelia out of her cage to buzz around freely. The weather is pretty cold and it is snowing outside. Inside of the train is quite warm though.

While you are sitting and looking outside trying to see who is arriving through the drop covered double windows of the train the door of the compartment opens.

Two girls in black and blue robes rush inside. The petite girl with short blonde hair carries a big tome in her hand that reads "Dungeons & Dragons". It's Alice. Next to her there is Juliette carrying her black cat Marco. Marco seems uneasy around Cordelia but tries to seem confident and proud his eyes fixed on the magical Finnish Pirkka Bee.

"...this book is SO not what I thought it was..." Alice says closing the door behind them. "Why? I thought you wanted to be a Dragonologist..." Juliette replies. Then both of them notice you.

"Oh John! Hi! So nice to see you!" Alice says warmly. Juliette blushes for a second, probably still feeling guilty over that fiasco of the Hogwarts Student Newspaper.

You greet both of them warmly and ask about their holiday. Juliette says she didnt do anything special. Alice says she went to United States with her parents and got a new book. "...but I have no idea what the hell is a D20...anyway-" You chat with them a little bit more and ask if the cat would do anything to Cordelia. Juliette assures you he will not. Marco the Cat hisses a bit at Cordy but when he realizes the Bee doesn't care at all he just curls up in his owners lap and start napping.

The train starts to get full now. You wonder where is Glenn and Anya.

"Did you guys heard about that Death Eater? Marshall something. I don't remember the name fully. He managed to hide all this time right under the nose of the Ministry still posing as a normal employee. They just discovered he was an infiltrating agent of the You-Know-Who..." Juliette starts telling you some story about a Death Eater who just got caught.

Alice interrupts and says she thinks there are a lot more Death Eaters around then the ones they actually caught. "I also heard a woman Luisa something-" She stops quickly when Juliette not-so-successfully kicks her secretly.

"There were some news about Luisa Testudos but she is John's aunt and they are just lies..." Juliette defends your aunt.

Both girls nod in agreement, Alice quick to apologize. "Sorry I didn't know..." You say it's not a problem.

"Don't worry about it, John" Juliette says "I mean Professor Hevelius himself acquited your aunt and everybody knows he is one of the best wizards alive."

Door opens again and Glenn enters. His red hair full of snow. "John! Finally found you!" Glenn joins you three in the compartment. You are glad to see him as he is your closest friend. The girls start talking with each other about some guy Alice saw in USA and you catch up with Glenn. The train starts moving and Glenn tells you Anya is probably sitting in another compartment. He says it is not so easy to find your friends in the train sometimes. You tell him about all the stuff happened in the Christmas including Astrid and your aunt.

Glenn doesn't seem to hang up a lot on your aunt's business but he is interested with Astrid's divination a lot. "I bet my mom and grandmom would love this French girl..." he says. You remember Glenn's whole family on the mother's side are renowned diviners and seers.

"I will try to see something too... It was useful last year... and now with all this talk about Death... I hope I can help you in some way." He says trying to smile.

Alice leaves the compartment abruptly after a while says she needs to do something. She accidently hits the lunch car on the corridor right after she leaves the compartment and gets some juice on her robes. You hold yourself not to laugh until she runs for the bathroom.

"I am sure she will check where Tim is!" Juliette says giggling.

You don't know what to say about this. Whole thing don't make much sense to you or peak your interest. Why would Tim talk with Alice? They have like zero things in common. Whatever.

Finally the train arrives at Hogwarts. Right after you get out you see Anya. She runs and hugs you. You, Anya and Glenn start walking towards the carts that will ride to the castle while chatting and catching up. Anya seems worried after you tell her the divinations of the French girl. She also tells you that she has learned a new spell and wants to show you because she thinks that you will enjoy it a lot. Bu she doesn't give any details not to spoil the surprise.

Headmaster Dumbledore makes a speech about how the wizarding society should come together to close the wounds of the war but people should never stop being vigilant for future threats. Most people seem to be more involved with the food infront of them than listening to the speech.

House Cup points are in full display in the hall and reads as:

The first week in Hogwarts passes uneventful. In the morning of the first Saturday, Captain Anthony wakes you up several hours before you would preffer, he shakes you and shouts "Come on!!! Wake up!!"

"Huh whatta??" You try to open your eyes. He is already in his Quidditch robes. He tells you to get ready in 5 minutes and runs off to wake up other players of the team.

15 minutes later you are in the Quidditch field together with all the team, everyone half asleep. "Why are we here at dawn Anthony?" Tim asks trying to keep his eyes open.

Anthony seems very motivated. "Why you ask Nello? Because from now on we are practicing when the sun rises. Last year was a damn unlucky year for us. We could have been the champions and this year we WILL! So I need you to train. Train hard. You might have gotten complacent after our crushing victory against Hufflepuff but do not forget Slytherin is just 20 points behind us in the race. And I want you to be at your %110 percent next month when we play against them!"

After ten more minutes Anthony explains some tactics and makes some motivational speeches, the team starts flying. As the sun rises more and more and the cold wind hits you in the face you feel completely awake now.

After an half hour or so the practice starts you manage to catch the Snitch twice. You also did some good evasions in the air. Anthony praises you a couple of times for the good performance. You did pretty well in this practice session.

Tim also wasn't bad in the practice either. Anthony seems pleased with the team. You just hope he will not make these dawn practices a habit...

"Not very heroic are we?" Malus snarls. Just as he is about to cast a spell his wand flies away from his hand, flips over and over in the air, lands on the open palm of Alba behind him.

"Didn't I tell you to leave John alone before?" She asks in a very calm manner. Bill takes a step away from Malus. Malus seems kind of shocked turns around to face Alba.

"You should have listened to my first warning." She says. Then in an instant she casts something you couldn't hear. Malus screams, you can't see his face as he is turned around but he immediately drops to his knees. For a second nobody moves.

Then Malus makes a weird sound. He looks like he is puking...but...instead of puking...a snail come out of his mouth. "Enjoy puking them for the rest of the day." Alba says again very calm, she throws Malus' wand to Bill. He and another Gryffindor carry Malus away. You hear Tim whisper "Dude..."

"Are you okay John?" Alba asks.

>"Wow! Alba! You saved me thank you!"

Before she turns to leave she puts her wand back in one of her pockets and says "I heard what they say about your aunt. But my friend is John Apise. Not his aunt. I don't care. See you later, John."

And with that she turns and heads downstairs.

You continue to head back to the Ravenclaw Tower with Tim. He seems very impressed with Alba's spell. "That was really wicked." he says. "We should definitely learn that spell."

You reach the Ravenclaw Tower and Tim answer the riddle so both of you enter. You find Anya and Glenn inside both sitting near the fireplace and talking. You and Tim join them. Anya is trying to convince Glenn not to take the comets very seriously and Glenn is trying to convince Anya on how your life can change depending on the position of some celestial objects. Seems like a deep conversation.

Tim tells them right as you sit down what happened on the way. Glenn gets kind of angry remembering how Malus also tried to hit you with a bludger once last year. "I think this boy will keep becoming a problem." he says in a bad mood. You kind of agree.

The weekend passes quickly and it's monday. After the breakfast you head to the potions class with your classmates. You still feel kind of sleepy but you are excited for your favorite class.

Snape walks through the classroom as if levitating and without delaying any time he announces everyone to open the third chapter in their books on how to harvest certain plants.

You try to do as good as you can but you just feel like everyone is watching you. Everyone expects you to brew a perfect potion and that everyone now thinks you run to Alba for help. There is just too much distractions in your head. Your potion turns out kind of bad. Still better than almost half of the class but not quite.

After Snape walks around the classroom and gives you a cold "Disappointing" he declares 5 points for Ravenclaw thanks to Anya's excellent potion and the class is dismissed. You leave feeling a bit upset.

You climb the stairs towards the northern side of the castle. You feel quite upset because you failed your potion. "I will not let this happen again." you promise yourself. You KNOW you could have done that potion. You tell yourself it was the distractions. You decide to head somewhere quiet to practice. You climb the stairs and pass the corridors and walk for around fifteen minutes and finally reach the Velvet Room. You take out the Gem of Location from your bag and place it in the hole on the wall near the portrait of the "Reading Man". Something clicks and the wall slowly opens a little like a door enough for one person to squeeze inside. The door closes behind you after you make sure nobody saw you.

You put your bag on the table and start taking out potioneering materials out. You notice the silver ring with the green emerald gem on it and the letter "B" is still here. You suddenly realise you might actually have discovered the origin of this ring earlier this year during research.

You put the ring aside for a moment and carefully remove all the books on the table to make room for potioneering. You put down the "The Beater's Bible", "The Rise and Fall of the Dark Arts", "Guide to Advanced Occlumency" and a torn apart looking notebook and take out your boiler.

You try to concentrate and prepare the ingredients properly this time.

You take an equal amount of onion and leek and pound them together with garlic. Then you slice some mushrooms, this time in a correct way and put them inside the boiler. You take out the bull's gall and mix it with the onions, leek and garlic and put them all together in the water with mushrooms to boil. Finally you add a few drops of giant saliva to the mix. They seem perfect.

You start brewing the potion. Ten minues boiling and then you add some spices and a few more drops of giant saliva. And just as you spend ten more minutes clockwise-

You hear a deep TAK! sound from the wall. It came from just outside of the room. But not from the coriddor side. For a second you lose your concentration with your wand in hand and a strange smell arise from the boiler.

"Damn!" you quickly regain your focus and keep mixing the ingredients. Close call! You almost got distracted again. After another ten minutes the potion is ready. You have successfully brewed a Hearing Aid potion for the elderly.

You put the potion in a big vial and put it in your bag.

It's a simple Charm called Four-Point-Spell it causes the caster's wand to point the North.

You spend at least two hours reading the details of the charm and practice the wand movement to understand it and finally you try to cast it and see how it goes.

After carefully reading the book you try the spell. "Point Me!" you say out loud, thinking it is weird that the incantations are in English rather than Latin. For a moment nothing happens. Then your wand slowly starts to give a weak blue light at the tip. You turn around yourself and the light disappears when you face another direction. It starts to get stronger as you turn slowly towards the north and appears at it's brightest when you are facing that direction. Still it's quite weak. You think [A Way with Wands] maybe other possibilities might be possible with this kind of wand enchantments but you are not really the expert on Charms so you let it go.

After spending all the day in your secret room alone you feel like you should head back to the Ravenclaw Tower.

You pack your things and leave the stuff that was in the room as they were before and head out.

You walk in the castle, it's almost evening. You come across Tim coming out of one of the bathrooms. He says he needs to go to the library to read something and doesn't have much time. Even Tim is studying these days you realize. Second year is definitely harder than the first one.

You spend another ten minutes walking, climbing stairs, trying to find which stair goes up to the Tower today and which ones have been changed. Finally you are almost there.

The eagle statue at the gate turns to you and asks "What begins with T, ends with T and has T in it?"

The Eagle nods and the door opens. You enter the Ravenclaw common room. The room is quite full. Most of the students are studying. Anya waves to you over one of the tables. She sitting with Glenn. They are reading some textbooks. Just as you are walking towards them you see Alice and Juliette walking towards the exit. "...I don't really understand him. Sometimes he acts very weird." Alice complains of someone to Juliette. You take a seat and sit with your friends. "What's up guys?"

Glenn says they are trying to find a way to tell Valdis that they want to leave his Astronomy club but they don't have the heart to do it. "It's not like we don't like him or the subject... it's just that we already have so much homework..." Anya agrees, "And it is so cold at the Astronomy tower at night. Plus we stay up so late because of it..."

Astronomy Club used to meet at midnight during the week so you kind of understand their complaints.

"We already attended one full semester. Isn't that enough?" Glenn asks, hoping for a supportive answer.

>"Come on guys it was fun! And we have actually learned a lot! We are probably best in Astronomy compared to all the other students. Imagine what can we learn more in another semester?"

You were afraid at first how Valdis would react to the news but he was surprisingly mature. "It's all right guys! Actually I have like ten more new members. I was thinking on how to make room for everyone. It seems some people heard how much fun we had in the first semester and decided to join."

As much as it is hard to believe the surprise popularity of the club you are glad that you didn't hurt Valdis' feelings. Valdis keeps talking about how you will miss his new telescope and how some Muggles were actually trying to send something to Mars or something. You didn't focus on what he was saying but he seemed excited.

After spending sometime at the Common Room you head up to the dormitories with Glenn and Valdis and say good night to Anya. Three of you enter the room and Tim is already in his bed reading some Quidditch journals.

Rest of the week passes more or less normally and it's Friday. You have the Defence Against the Dark Arts class after breakfast common with Slytherin.

Slytherin students seems to be getting kind of excited since the Quidditch match is coming up soon and Ravenclaw and Slytherin are the favorites for the Cup right now.

You enter the classroom and look around to choose a seat.

You head towards David's desk. It's been sometime since you have spoken with him. It might be cool to catch up.

You walk towards the Slytherin side of the class and pass the desk of Rachel. She smiles while adjusting her green hairband and greets you with a "Good morning!"

You sit next to David. David seems much more quiet these days. In fact he has been kind of under the radar since that little "duel" they he and his group had with Alba, Bill and other Gryffindors last year in the botanical class.

"Oh hi John!" He seems surprised you sit with him. "How..how are you?"

You sit casually and just chat with him for a while. You learn that his "study" group is over. He says a lot of people thought they were into the "Dark stuff" so they decided to shut it down just in case. "We never had anything to do with Dark spells or You-Know-Who or whatnot..." he says defensively. You think he is telling the truth but it was an oddly suspicious study group full of purebloods and pureblood fanboys like David. You remember he also tried hard to recruit you to his group but you refused.

"I heard you had a thing with Malus..." he says.

Finally the Professor Hevelius appears. He walks slowly and talks in a calm manner. He welcomes you all to the class and announces that today's subject will be about a Warming Spell. Some students sigh and complain. Professor laughs slowly. "I know many of you think this spell doesn't seem very exciting or dangerous. I know how you young wizards and witches love more flashy spells. But be assured that this is a very important spell you should have in your repertory."

Then he starts telling an anectode on how he was searching for a dark warlock some thirty five years ago in the forests at the hills of Crotia and how this spell saved him from freezing. "Remember my dears. Many dark creatures wants to destroy life and happiness and replace them with death and cold. You know how eating a chocolate always makes you warm and happy inside? This charm will have the same effect and give you same strength and warm... now let's see..." He continues to tell more about the spell.

You take notes and listen to the Professor. It is really strange to think how newspapers were writing about your Professor and family just a few weeks ago. The Professor shows no sign about anything of that nature to you. You are just like a normal student to him it seems. You are glad this issue is over.

"Now let's see you try it..." Professor says after casting the spell on a pencil and making it really warm. "The word is Calidus!"

Everyone starts trying to cast the spell to the pencils infront of them.

You do as the Profesor described and cast the spell on the pencil infront of you. "Calidus!" After a minute the pencil feels slightly warm. After ten minutes it feels like a cup of hot tea in your hand. "Very good students, very good!" It seems most of the class managed to cast it more or less. You check how is David doing. He seems to have managed it as well but his pencil is slightly colder than yours. "Need more practice Mr. Ickheart!" Professor tells David. "But it is passable nevertheless..." he adds to cheer up the boy.

[Warming Charm learned]

"I hope you will never need to use this charm because it would mean you are cold outside with no help nearby. But keep practicing to make sure you will be able to use it if you need it..."

After the class is over you promise David to teach him some spells next week and he leaves. Professor is talking with some students and seems busy with them. "So you forgot to bring me that letter than Mr. Nello?" Professor asks Tim. "...what letter? You never asked me anything about letters Professor...." Seems like he is making some excuses for his laziness again.

You head out with Glenn as he tells you some stuff about maybe trying to see another divination to see if Astrid's divinations were correct. "Ooh divination?" you hear someone behind you.

You turn around to see the familiar girl in green and black robes with the silver snake necklace. It's Rachel. Glenn looks emberassed for not being quieter.

"What divination?" She asks looking intrigued.

>"Uhhh...it's nothing really...we must be going...see you later."
>"What divination? Ah lactation. Yes we said lactation. Glenn here wants to go to the grounds to see if he can lactate some animals." [Persuasion]

You and Glenn walk with Rachel and tell her almost everything about the recent divinations. "So somebody will kill you?" she asks casually.

"We don't know that for sure... these things...prophecies...they are usually bust." Glenn explains. "But I want to see if we can come up with something...there is a certain tea that helps me get more...focused."

After telling Rachel about the divinations she tells you that she might have something that can help Glenn to gain more focus. She says it's just something she needs to acquire in the "Slytherin dungeons"

You have no idea what does she talking about but you arrange for a meeting after the Quidditch game next week. You and Glenn can only hope that you can trust her with this. When you tell Anya that Rachel is also involved now she is not very pleased. She says no matter what we can't trust her yet. But you manage to convince her to keep an open mind.

And finally it's February.

Time for the long expected Ravenclaw - Slytherin Quidditch game. Lot of people think that this game will decide the champions this year. Captain Anthony is extremely nervous. He doesn't eat anything at the breakfast. You sit with Tim both of you ready in your Ravenclaw quidditch robes. He seems more or less calm eating some pancakes. You just drink some tea, feeling kind of nervous. "If I see you failing your performance because of lack of sleep I will kill you Tim!" Anthony says sitting across you at the table. "What lack of sleep?" Tim says defensively. "I saw you lurking around in the common room at night and I remember ordering all of you to sleep early!" "But I WAS sleepi-" You decide to help Tim out, you know he sometimes stays up late and say "Wasn't YOU also supposed to be sleeping Anthony?" Anthony just gets up looks annoyed and says "Let's go."

The team heads to the Quidditch Pitch.

Many people consider him to be the best Seeker in Hogwarts right now. You would like to prove them wrong.

As the game continues another half hour passes.

The score is 100-60 for Slytherin.

Anthony was hit by a bludger right on his face but he refused to leave the game. You suspect he has a broken nose. His face and shirt is full of blood but he is still playing. Slytherin started to get more and more momentum with each passing minute. Their seeker Aquila seems to be hungry for a last Quidditch Cup before he graduates. It seems the team will not be able to keep up with them. So it is up to you to turn this around. You try to focus more and more on the Snitch. You fly near the Ravenclaw seats and you can hear Valdis' Eagle screech. You dive a bit towards Slytherin side and you catch a glimpse of David and Rachel chanting some Slytherin song. You have no idea where is the Snitch but then...

Then you see it. The Snitch. Flying around the Slytherin post. You look at Aquila to check if he has also seen it. He is up above you and he is already diving very fast towards the post. He did see it.

You grab the broomstick under you very tight and lean forward to get maximum speed. You pass the middle of field, suddenly everyone is aware. You imagine that the whole field has hold their breaths.

Slytherin machine works perfectly. Two beaters opposite of each other aim at you. You evade one at the last possible instant and feel the skin of the ball with the tip of your hair. The other one is coming from your right. You think it will be impossible to evade it. You try anyway. You are basically lying on your broom now and your are at the maximum speed possible. You can feel the broom vibrate like a wild horse under you. You feel it's starting to crack.

Right when the bludger is supposed to hit you something dives from above. A player. It touches you slightly but you lose your balance. Someone sacrificed himself and blocked the bludger by getting hit. You don't know who but you are thankful. You don't waste any second looking and continue full speed. Now the crack on the broom is visible. And it is getting deeper. It vibrates so much that your hand goes numb. You slightly start rotating. Up and down up and down. You feel nauseated. You are almost at the post. Suddenly Aquila completes his dive. He reaches and catches the Snitch like a victorious Eagle cathes his pray. You were two seconds late.

You see him catching the Snitch. Everything happens too fast for your brain to process. You hear a loud crack. Your broomstick stops vibrating for an instant. And then it's destroyed. The crack divides the broom from half. You continue your fast dive spinning with what is left of the half of your broom. Hit the post. Try to hold on to it. Hands numb, your left side hurting like hell. Then darkness.

You open your eyes in a familiar place. The infirmary.

First thing you see is your broken broom next to your bed on the table. Then you look around to see three Ravenclaw Quidditch robes hanged around. You try to rise up but your left side hurts like hell. Try to move your arms and legs. They seem to be okay more or less. You look around again and you see Anthony at a bed next to yours. His face looks purple. You remember his broken nose. He seems to be sleeping.

Then you look to your left. It's Tim. His arm is in plaster cast. He gives you a half smile. "I think we did a nice work, don't you say?"

It was Tim who dived infront of that bludger and his right arm is broken now. Along with some fractures from falling down. He is supposed to be staying here for a couple of days to case of a concussion. It seems half of the team is hospitalized after match.

There are flowers and chocolate around. "How long was I out?" you ask. Tim says just one day and half.

After a few hours Madame Pomfrey checks up on you. She says you are very lucky to be alive and relatively less harmed. "I hate this suicide sport..." she complains while checking your wounds. You see that your left side is something between complete purple and black. Doesn't seem very good....but thankfully there is magic. "You should be able to walk in a couple of days..." she says.

Anthony is checked out in the morning. He seems oddly happy. "At least we did our best boys..."

The Quidditch Cup scores seems as the following now before the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff and then there will be the last games:

Whole Ravenclaw comes to visit you and Tim. "I was sure that you were dead, John!" Glenn says. Some others nod in agreement. "I think it would be best to ban you from Quidditch!" Anya says but Tim disagrees in an instant. Tim is also hailed as a hero for diving in front of the bludger. Alice brings him some kind of a cake with a chocolate bludger on it.

After chat and laughter for some hours Pomfrey chases the students out and you are left with Tim again. After you had your dinner on bed and getting ready to sleep, someone enters the infirmary. You see Alba trying to be quiet but she hits something in the dark and exclaims "Collons!"

"Hi Alba!" you greet her. She smiles and runs over. "Did I wake you up? Sorry! This match was so awesome!" Unlike the others who were worried or upset she seems perfectly happy. "Oh my god I have never seen any dive like that to face a bludger!" You and Tim both feel a bit cocky after she keeps praising you for minutes. "I am sad that Slytherin won..." finally she shows some sadness. "But still it was an awesome match. You can't even see this stuff in the World Cup!"

She tells you that you should order your broom soon so you will be ready before the last game. You are not particularly looking forward to another Quidditch match right in this instance but you just smile and agree. She leaves before Madame Pomfrey comes to check up on you.

Next day Glenn and Anya visits you again and Tim should be ready to check out tomorrow and you in a couple more days. But they are kicked out after Valdis arrives and decides to use his Eagle Face charm and makes lot of screaming sounds and Madame Pomfrey goes crazy.

Rachel comes to visit you at lunch time. She apologizes for the bludgers. Tim says it wasn't her fault since she is not even on the team. "So you decided to come back here then? You are a lazy boy." She says to Tim. "What do you mean come back?" "

"I thought I saw you at the library." Tim snorts. "I have been to library like twice in two years." "Oh...I guess I confused you with another Ravenclaw then."

"What was it that you need to acquire for Glenn anyway?" You ask curiously. She says that she found a kind of potion that helps you open your third eye. You ask where did she found this. She says she heard the Bloody Baron talking about it. Now you are a bit worried and not sure if Glenn should try it.

Rachel nods. "As you want. I know you are a capable wizard. I wouldn't refuse your help. But I don't think the Baron would actually try to hurt me. You can't enter the Slytherin anyway." "But are you sure it is safe?" You ask concerned. "We should do a lot of research before giving it to Glenn to drink."

Rachlen adjusts her snake necklace idly and seems thoughtful. "I don't really know. I don't think it can do a lot of harm but then I am not sure really what are the effects... So maybe you are right."

"Why are you helping us anyway?" you ask. She smiles in a mischevious way. "Why do you think? To betray you at the last moment!"

"Wha-what?"

"Ha ha ha" She starts laughing. "Just calm down John. You are my friend. I just want to be useful. Plus it seems like a very, very interesting subject. I always liked prophecies and all that."

After a little while she leaves.

You try to sleep but your head is full of stuff to think about and Tim's snorings are not helping either. Finally you drift away to a dream of bats, brooms and silver snakes.

Next morning Tim leaves the Hospital Wing and starts attending classes again. Your wound is also better but Pomfrey insists on keeping you a few more days. Your cousin comes to visit you and brings you some letters from your mom and dad. They wish you a full recovery and your mom writes she is "glad you are okay and proud of your achievements" You are happy that they are not mad...still they do not sound very worried either. Probably the school told them it was a no big deal. You could imagine your dad getting really mad if he saw your wound on the first day.

Anya visits you at lunch and brings you some chocolates and Cordelia. Cordy snuggles next to you in bed. You tell Anya about the potion Rachel told you about.

She says, "I don't know John...this whole thing...potions, Slytherin dungeons, ghosts... I am a bit afraid to be honest." You try to keep her calm and say that you will research it a lot before doing anything serious.

And you ask her about that Muggles sending something to Mars. She tells you about it but still you don't quite get how is it possible without Magic. Maybe Muggles are not so stupid after all.

You try to convince her that Rachel is a nice person and she says she doesn't think she is bad but only that she is worried about this whole thing.

After a little bit more chat she leaves to go to a class and you are left alone. You read some textbook to catch up with this week's classes.

You write a letter home mostly addressed to your mom apologizing for destroying the broom and asking a new one. You thank them for their concern and tell them you are all right.

After that you leave the Hospital Wing and start to attend classes. A week passes and you meet with Rachel one day after the classes. She tells you that Baron only agrees to tell her the location of the potion if she brings him something precious and old. She has no idea what to do about it.

You decide to also get the others and you, Rachel, Glenn and Anya all meet at the library to talk. Glenn seems a bit nervous and Anya is not very pleased.

"We just need to find something like this and he will give us the potion." Rachel says.

"And how are we supposed to "just find" something precious to satisfy a thousand year old ghost? Did you think about that part?" Anya answers.

"Maybe we can promise to check his future?" Glenn offers. "I am not sure his future has anything other than haunting the Castle, Glenn." you reply.

It seems you are at an end for this potion business.

You go to watch the game with Tim and rest of the Quidditch team.

The weather is rainy but the match is very fast. Gryffindor starts off very aggresively. Hufflepuff seems unable to stop their attacks. You can see Alba flying around without stopping a second. Gryffindor doesn't really have much chance to win the cup unless they win this match BIG time and something like a miracle happen at the last games but it seems unlikely.

First half hour passes with the score of 70-20 for Gryffindor.

You see Rachel and David are also among the students who are watching the match. They are sitting together with mostly Slytherins. You see Malus is also flying in the field. You wonder how is the atmosphere in the Gryffindor team after Alba attacked Malus. You don't know but it seems they are playing good and efficently nevertheless.

The score is 130 to 70 when Gryffindor seeker catches the Snitch and the game ends with the score of 280 to 70. Which is a very good result. Now Gryffindor ranks a good 400 points and is the second team after Slytherin with their 470. Seems like they are back in the race.

Alba seems crazy with happiness and you couldn't even reach her to congratulate as all the Gryffindors carry their team on their shoulders back to the Castle.

With that you head into the Professor Binn's room. You knock on his door but there are no answer. Just when you are about to turn and leave something exits the door and you see it's the Professor. "Come in" he says flying back inside through the door.

You open it and enter. The room smells like old paper...and it is dusty. Very dusty. All the windows are shut and you think they haven't been opened in decades. "What brings you here children? You come to learn more about the Goblin rebellion of 1612 or about the warlock of-" Anya interrupts. "Hi Professor! We actually want to learn about our Castle a bit more. Like... we heard there are some hidden rooms...with relics inside. We would like to know more about them. We think maybe we can find an old book to read and understand the history better."

The ghost Professor smiles slightly and seems pleased. "Well...yes...yes of course...you are right. There are many rooms...many corridors. All hidden all secret. This is Hogwarts after all... And history is very, very important. You all should read more... In fact this reminded me the time where the Witch of Cyprus tried to take all of her cats and put them in a-" Anya interrupts once again. "You were saying where we should go to find historical relics in the Castle, Professor?"

"Ah..yes..yes of course, relics...Well...some rooms in Hogwarts has important items. Items belonging to the history of this school...And some rooms are hidden...Difficult to find...Dangerous as well....Only to those who are in need or worthy enough..."

You also heard some of this stuff but this is kind of going nowhere... "Wait Professor, did you say those who are worthy? How can a room be dangerous?"

"Ah...yes of course...yes my boy. Worthy. What was I saying, the sword, the cup, the snakes...ah the chamber. The Chamber of Secrets. Only the worthy can open it. It is dangerous indeed. Very, very dangerous. Only the Heir can open the Chamber of Secrets and release the Monster."

Glenn looks kind of pale now. A thunder rumbles outside.

"Heir? What heir professor?" You ask.

"The Heir of Slytherin."

Three of you look at each other. Glenn seems quite pale and Anya also seems like she is afraid now. You decide to finish this talk before the Professor starts talking about the Cypriot Cats or some other strange thing. "Thank you, Professor we should go now..."

Outside three of you look at each other again. Glenn breaks the silence.

"Does anyone think what I think?"

Finally you manage to convince Anya and Glenn that Rachel is not the Heir of Slytherin...probably.

They start to act a bit funny though. You just think that it is because they got a little afraid but you go along with them. They tell you that they should return to the Tower so you follow.

You reach the stairs, climb them, Anya answers the question and the door to the Common Room opens. It is dark inside other than the occasional lightning coming from outside. "Why is the fire now burnin-" just as you were trying to understand what's going on a roar rises in the room.

"Happy birthday to you!!!" "Happy birthday to you!!!" "Happy birthday to you!!!"

"I fell for this...again." With all the things in your mind you kind of forgot that it was 15th March now that the hour passed midnight.

I like the sense of being in a magic school with all this adventure happening, and having a cool pet bee, and not having to actually do the studying that we're forcing the character to do.

Thanks for running, sorry I wasn't around to participate. Have you ever thought about reworking the rolling system? You're very forgiving as it is with failures which I appreciate but it just seems very random where we can really easily fail at things we know we're good at
