It's not really panic if you are calm, right? Right. So you gently slip your sapphire talons between her fingers and her lips, feeling the Chi moving through her body in a rushed, wavering manner; she lets you, mostly because she is quickly pulling her sash off and using it to tie back her sleeves and the front of her robe. Another good reason for her to wear boy's robes to bed – less flowing material.

“Er Yin-sensei, Kiku-chan is suffering from morning sickness. Do you have a basin for her?”

Akari grabs your hand and yanks you back forcefully, nearly throwing you off the bed; you have to do some complicated movements to avoid falling on the rest of your family, who are waking quickly. She places HER hand over Kiku's mouth and looks at you. “Aniki, that's molten stone,” she says emphatically. Kiku-chan grips Akari's shoulder tightly, her belly heaving, though she's breathing normally for the moment.

“I know, that's why I was using my left hand, niji-chan,” you reply, understanding her reaction very well.

Er Yin's voice cuts through the quiet conversation like a knife. “Left side of the bed, just under the edge, a ceramic basin, Ryukusa-sama. Please don't rock the bed – that will make it worse.” Yui-niji-chan gently places her arm over Kiki-hime, watching Kiku-chan carefully; she is tensed and ready to flee if anything bad happens. Er Yin stays still; her and Yui are unable to move much with that particular warning.

“Here!” Yuuhi places a large candy in your hand, a lump of brownish sugar-candy. No, not sugar, or at least not only sugar; ginger. “I'll get the bowl!” She carefully and cautiously crawls towards the edge of the bed as you crawl back to Akari and Kiku. You glance at Yui, who nods emphatically.

Kiku-chan is no longer flushed; now she's pale, though her eyes are quickly passing into yellow ranges of heat. “Let her have this, Akari-niji-chan,” you murmur, and she uncovers the diminutive dragonette's mouth. The eyes that come up to meet yours are glazed, despite their glow, but she is aware of you. “Suck on this, mama,” you murmur to her with a smile, tipping the candy into her mouth.

“....eech....” is all she manages before the somewhat large ginger crystal candy is in her mouth and she is sucking on it. Her stomach convulses once more and Akari gently covers her mouth again; Kiku-chan glances at her gratefully. Yuuhi hands you a wide, thick ceramic bowl, polished to a mirror shine.

“All right, everyone not caring for a sick dragonette is to move off the bed SLOWLY.” Er Yin helps Yui-niji-chan who literally lifts Kiki-hime up and hands her to the taller dragonette. “You too Er Yin; you can come around to the end of the bed.” You look at Kiku-chan, who has her eyes closed and it even more pale now. She's sweating now, and probably can't hold out much longer.

You gesture to Akari to move Kiku's hair out of the way – it won't burn, but you can't imagine having to take a hammer to clean vomit out of someone's hair, and you'd like to avoid actually experiencing the situation if you can. She follows your gesture and slowly moves around to kneel behind the sitting Fire dragonette while you move closer.

“Thank you for the candy, Yuuhi-chan. Everyone okay?” Er yin settles on the bed cautiously, near where the three of you are settled.

“Hai aniki; everyone is safe.” Yui-niji-chan speaks from near the doorway.

“Good. Kiki-hime, can you brew some tea for your-” kiku-chan looks up as you speak, and as if the very word is too much for her, she loses control.

The candy is vaporized as you gently slip the bowl under her chin, and stroke her soft hair, gently pet her burning horns. “That's all right, Kiku-chan. Just....let it all out, every bit.” Er Yin is speaking in Ainu, and stroking her back, as Akari gently hugs her about the chest and keeps her hair from getting caught in the stream of cracked black sludge that pours slowly from the heaving dragonette's mouth. It moves slowly, flakes and cracks in the black skin revealing orange liquid that glows. The stench is horrific, and the sensation is even less pleasant from the look on your diminutive lover's face. She makes strange, strangled noises, which isn't a surprise since the thick, semi-liquid stuff oozes, rather than spills. There isn't any splashing either, which is good.

The stuff slides along the bowl, piling up slowly, and rolling over itself when the edges cool too much. It takes about thirty seconds before the stream just stops abruptly, and Kiku-chan is left heaving, trying to catch her breath. You smile sadly, but her eyes are mostly closed, tears steaming from them from the effort of having dealt with that. Er Yin holds out her hands and you pass the bowl to her as Akari and you stroke and pet the lovely dragonette, who pants softly.

“I sincerely hope that isn't going to be a morning ritual, for your sake, Kiku-chan,” you murmurs softly, and she shakes her head. You withhold the sigh of relief; and hug her gently. Kiku-chan is shaking, the experience leaving her weak and cool in your arms. Akari smiles at you, her eyes also half closed. She gestures – I will leave this to you – and you nod ever so slightly. She slips away, and Er Yin returns to the bed, sliding into it and wrapping her arms about her lover's shoulders and your waist, nuzzling Kiku-chan gently. “Better, Hougyoku-chan?”

She nods slowly and you go to kiss her softly – only to be met by small fingertips against your lips. “My lips are still hot, baka dragon.” There isn't any heat behind the warning, only a warning delivered all too often for other's safety. Which is silly, because that isn't an issue for you.

You chuckle softly, and she flushes angrily, her blood heating up quickly. “I think you are forgetting just who and what I am, Kiku-chan....I'm the OTHER master, not YOUR Master.” Er Yin laughs softly, while the irate dragonette glares at you with her softly liquid eyes of gold. No longer glowing, they still retain that liquid look of molten gold behind her watery eyes. You take her hand, which she allows you to do; soft kisses are applied to each fingertip, and then her palm. When you look up her eyes are half closed and she is looking a little more her natural colors.

You gently lift her chin and she opens her eyes to look at you. “You can't hurt me. Even if you did, it is temporary, stone or not, unless you were working to destroy me.” She flushes in embarrassment, and you keep her head up when she tries to look down. You kiss her, the moisture upon your lips hissing instantly to vapor. It doesn't hurt of course; you are creature of near infinite cold and incredible heat, unlike most of your kind. She warbles softly and Er Yin laughs again, her hand stroking her lover's soft hair as she melts into your arms.

“Better, better,” you compliment her, and she looks down, the air around her body heating up.

“Bakayero,” Kiku-chan mutters under her breath as Er yin plays with her unbraided locks and draws her silvery talons along her lover's side. Kiku shivers under the caress, and you trace her lips with your own talons.

“Have you burned Er Yin before by accident, Kiku-chan?” A slight shake of her head. “Someone else, then....you really shouldn't worry so much about us. We're professionals too. Even Yui-niji-chan is skilled. So, please let us take care of you.” She rubs her eyes, acting more like the childlike person she appears to be rather than the old dragonette that she is, and nods unsteadily. “Besides....I'd always said you kisses were the hottest. Maybe we should get ice chips for next time.”

It isn't pressing, nor important – you have plenty of time, at least until tomorrow morning.” You smile and slide backwards off the bed and onto your feet in a movement that Yui-chan would have been envious over. “Though I may need to consult with one or the other or both of you later. Much later.”

Whatever Er Yin is doing behind Kiku-chan's back has the diminutive dragonette straining against her tail and hands, and the hand that was cupping her chin is now firmly about her throat, preventing any movement at all. “Hai, Ryukusa-sama. We understand perfectly.” Er Yin's amusement is laced with desire, and it gives her voice a richer timbre that sends a shiver down your spine.

Lucky Kiku-chan. Maybe. You're not entirely sure!

You bow and slip out and close the door firmly behind you, taking a deep, slow breath. Lovely.

You walk into the living room; the sounds in the kitchen are those of breakfast being made, and while there is some tension in the room, you suspect Akari-niji-chan has lessened it considerably for you. Kiki-hime is first on her feet, while Yuuhi is looking up at you from hers, her tail waving slowly back and forth. Yui-niji-chan looks up from one easy chair, while Shoko rubs her eyes sleepily from the couch she shared with Kiki-hime until a second ago. The other Easy chair is occupied by a slightly bashful Fuuta-chan, who rises and bows as you enter the room. Inau-kun and Akari are in the kitchen, working on what smells like a very nice traditional breakfast. Well mostly, some of the elements are definitely not local.

You gesture for Fuuta-chan to sit, bowing slightly to her, and you motion Kiki-hime down as well, smiling reassuringly to them both. “First of all, Kiku-chan is quite well, and is in Er Yin's care; they should be left alone for a little while. They'll join us later.” That does not just ease the tension, it erases the tension entirely. “Please sit; and that goes for you, Inau-kun, unless Akari-chan can't spare you....”

“I need the extra hands, aniki,” she claims mildly.

Those are the closest things to orders anyone has today unless Kiki-hime goes out, in which case either Akari-niji-chan or Yui-niji-chan must accompany, and the other must stay here. I will remain either in the shrine or in the bedchamber.“

You shake your head. “No.”

Akari pipes up curiously. “What if-”

“Doesn't matter.”

Yuuhi-chan starts to open her mouth and Kiki-hime gently places a hand over it, earning her a confused look an an ear-swivel.

Yui-chan frowns and and says, “Wouldn't it be-”

“Absolutely not.”

Kiki-hime lets go of Yuuhi's mouth and she asks quickly, “Shouldn'twebeonguardagainstanattack?” before Kiki-hime can stop her again. Kiki-hime blushes and there are giggles and soft chuckles throughout the room.

“Not your concern at this moment. Relax. Enjoy being home. That is what I want from you all today.”

Their confusion is understandable, but then, you have a thought process that works at the speed of sound (literally, since that's how fast your reactions are) and you're also slightly psychic. It makes things tedious sometimes. But then again, these people are putting their lives on the line for you, and more.

It's just so hard to explain things clearly sometimes!

“First of all, Fuuta-chan. When she chose to come with me, she betrayed Clan Ryo, but as far as they are concerned, it was a kidnapping. Really, it was a rescue, and most of you know why. Without access to an oracle, Oba-san is working with the same materials as any member of the Diet or any high ranking executive – seers, spiritualists, and mediums. With Fuuta-chan here, she makes us safer, and she chose to come here because she worships Inari, who is intimately associated with Horobi.” Understatement of the year, that. “Akari-niji-chan and I know her well, and trust her. She knows more about us than most of us do, and I'm really, really not exaggerating. But make your own decisions, and I'm telling her now....” You turn to Fuuta-chan, who looks up at you with her one visible eyes. “Make your own decisions. I trust these people with the life of my wife and principle.” Fuuta-chan nods solemnly.

You turn back to the room. “One final thing – her Dream Journal, that scroll she has next to her chair? That's off limits. No one but Fuuta-chan touches it. That includes me. Hands off.” Fuuta-chan smiles up at you gratefully.

You sigh and walk to where Kiki-hime is sitting and loosen your robe a little before you sit down cross-legged, tucking your hands into your sleeves and leaning against her legs. She reaches down and strokes your hair slowly, and immediately you feel better, more relaxed. “I'll listen to any questions and problems about my plan after I shower, during breakfast. I really need to get cleaned up, and I know that some of my ideas aren't going to make a lot of sense immediately.” You consider for a moment and then find a good place to start.

I can't do that in hiding or passively.” You list your ring finger, the red jade shining. “The Kaga Clan is doing something, and it won't be long before what they're doing has an impact on us. I don't know what it is, but they are aiming for us, specifically me, and it is Kiki-hime they want.” You lift your index finger. “Clan Ryo now knows I am truly a demigod, and they have lost vital members of their organization, both to use against me and literally. They can't come after us immediately even after Fuuta-chan's defection, but they must eventually, because they cannot afford not to. I intend to make sure that never happens – or if it does happen, that Clan Ryo cannot recover.”

There is a clatter in the kitchen, and Fuuta-chan looks as worried as Akari apparently is.

You lift your pointer finger. “Taisho Ryoga is the real enemy. And he's been absolutely quiet for almost a week. Not one movement, not one spell, not one drop of trouble. The Hojo Group has done absolutely nothing, despite the fact I have clearly absconded with Kumatori Kiki. If that doesn't scream 'horrible danger' to you, please raise your hand.” Shoko gently pushes Yuuhi-chan's hand down. “So, for this day and this night....relax. Take a moment to remind yourself why we are suffering through all this, why you have throne your lot in with me, with my family. Tonight remind yourself what it is we are risking our lives, limbs, and loves for. You can't sustain a fight such as this on honor, or loyalty, or duty. It needs a reason beyond those things. Today, take the time to live for yourselves and each other.”

You lower your hand and run it thought your hair, at least as much as you can. It's too long to do that through a while set of locks. “Today, after lunch, I will need to speak to Yui-niji-chan and Akari-niji-chan for a while. I'll also need to spend an hour or two with Yuuhi, later this morning; seven thirty or eight?” She nods, pleased with the timing. The middle of the Hours of the Dragon, of course. “And I'll have to deal with the Kaga Sorceress still in my possession – wait, that came out wrong. That I still have in my Barrier. I can do that in the early evening.” You look at your loved ones and companions. “But when I'm not doing those things, I will be either in the shrine, or in my bedroom, as I said. For exactly the same reasons as I'm giving you this day to yourselves. Don't hesitate to come see me, or talk to me, or bother me.”

To your great relief they remain silent, thoughtful, and most of them seem to understand what's going on fairly well. Akari can help, there, as can Fuuta-chan. The concept of the calm before battle is not new to either of them – or Shoko-san or Inau-kun, for that matter, though in different ways perhaps. Kiki leans down and wraps her arms about your neck, and nuzzles you. “Shower?”

The only way one could avoid it would be to manage to intimidate all of Big E's servants into quitting the country or his service without doing anything. And given the things his servants face, there is no way Ryukusa could manage it.

She can still intimidate them into quitting the land or convince them to leave his service, but she'll have to make serious efforts anyway.

You slip your hands free of your sleeves and run them along your wife's arms slowly. “If you will all excuse me please, I am going to get my wife wet before we eat breakfast.” Fuuta's eye widens and she turns a pretty pastel blue, while there is another loud clatter from the kitchen as it seems that Inau-kun has chosen to take her turn at dropping things. Kiki-hime's cheeks heat up as well. “Yes, a shower. What on earth could have possibly been thinking.” That makes Shoko burst out giggling (so strange with her massive frame!) and Yuuhi-chan looks at her like she's nuts, though Yui is also giggling.

Kiki-hime lets you go however, and you rise slowly, making sure you don't flash everyone, at least this time. Kiki-hime takes you by the arm and leads you to the master bedroom, while the others start getting up and conversing, which is a reassuring sort of sound. You close the door, and then slow, turning to face your wife, who blushes and look down, though she raises her arms to embrace you.

And she does a lot more than merely embrace you too.

It is worth remembering that Kiku is well over two centuries old; she's not going to ignite any of her clothing by accident. Her surroundings might be slightly more problematic, at least when she is ill.

The except is if she goes to long with her Master or Ryukuza imposing themselves on her; she can become somewhat dangerous after a long period of time. Even then she is liable to cause herself harm, rather than others

Yes, she did. She's well aware of Yuuhi's nature, though it confuses the hell out of her. Shoko is not a complex person, smart though she is.

Ryuu Ryukusa is 5'8", tall for a Japanese woman (she is 19, after all). She is what one might call svelte, not curvy as much as she is sleek and toned. Her bust is a bit large for her height, though nothing like Kiki-hime's or Er Yin (though she is proud of the fact that she is nicely endowed). Her hair is straight, blue-black, and nearly calf-length, with straight bangs. Her horns are swept back along her skull and then curve up slightly (like a recurve), and made of smooth and clear sapphire. They are notched, rather than ridged, three of them along the first curve. Her hands are unusual - they are flesh up until the first joint along the back, where they turn into cloudy gemstone - her left, dark blue sapphire and her right, dark ruby. She has a faint scar along her throat that extends down along her chest; at the hollow of her throat it splits slightly, leading towards her arms before petering out at the end of her collarbones.

Like all dragonettes, she lacks body hair aside from eyebrows and head; however, she does have a swath of soft fur at the base of her spine, the same color as her hair. It leads to a tail of dark blue, and continues alogn the upepr surface; the bottom surface is lighter blue, and the scales alogn the sides are deep blue. Her tailtip splits into several vanes, like a very weird dolphin-sharp mating, and they are slightly prehensile. Her tail is slightly longer than she is tall. She has some dark blue scales long her hips, triceps, and her cheeks. Her eyes are sapphire blue and whole her iris is round, her pupils are slitted. Her sclera are faintly bluish.

Her demigod form in Barriers is striking.

Her skin is a soft grey and her hair becomes wild and white, and streams out uncontrollably behind her, to around eight to ten feet.. Her tail becomes three times it's normal length, which is suitable as she becomes six feet tall and puts on a lot of smooth muscle (her breasts don't increase in size, which she is thankful for).

She is far more hippy and pear-ish, but her arms become somewhat more exaggerated as well - the crystalline structure consumes her arms up to the biceps, and her talons become thicker and much, much more dangerous. Rhe scar along her chest splits slightly, showing lighting within her chest, which is further evidenced in her throat. Her right eye becomes bright scarlet red, almost ruby like - this is her Destruction Seeing Right Eye. Her horns branch and become heavier, thick black sapphire, still lightly curved in several directions, and deeply chipped along the main branches.

She didn't go that deeply into how it was that we are to heal our Screen, and it seemed like something to go into later. Possibility just giving Ryukusa a scroll indicating what would happen, but with the implication that the knowledge within isn't quite...solidified yet?

As Ryukusa understands it and has been told by Shoko and Kiku-chan, there needs to be a serious prayer session involving at least three miko and a priestess, offerings made and a strong spiritual powerbase (say, the presence of a demigod). a spiritualist can stand in for the priestess and miko both, but she would need to conduct a long ritual by herself, and it has a chance of possibly not working (or causing something else to happen).
