Schools from as far away as Japan and from Kursk Girls Boarding School and St. Gloriana and George Washington Military Academy are here!” A steady stream of people started coming in around the early morning, and started expanding to a very large crowd. In short, just what the NATO team needs to raise some money. You and your crew right now were signing some autographs for people as they dropped by. Some as well requested pictures of you, some some encouraging advice, others really just wanted to pet your hair. Whatever it was, you were being polite about it.But honestly, the attention is killing you! You need to get the fuck out of here!Winona leans over. “So, is Griselda going to talk to the team yet?”“She was going to do it this morning but people started showing up and she didn't want to air the team's problems in public. So maybe after the fair,” you say.Josephina looks up. “Goodness. It looks like it's going to rain tonight.” You look out to see yes indeed there were rainclouds in the distance. Big ones. Probably a stormfront. That'll be nice to sleep through you guess.Ingrid looks directly at you. “You look stressed, Ellie.”“Stressed?” You squint at Ingrid. “What makes you think I'm stressed?”Winona points to your leg, which is constantly bouncing up and down, and your hand which keeps drumming along the table. “You keep doing that stuff.” Do you? Nah, that's natural! Yeah, natural. That's what you'll tell them! You always kick your feet and bang your hand against stuff! “If you don't want to do autographs, you just have to say so.”“I'm fine!”Winona gently pushes you, smiling. “Aww, poor baby! Come on, take a break! Enjoy the fair!”Well...Ugh, if she insists. “I'll come back later for lunch,” you say. Winona nods, waving to you.Right. >>591586> Stack is busy warming up in the Hangar with the other loaders for a Loading competition.I really really really want to go to the race grounds and take part in the race. But I think we should psych Stack up for her competition. Also, the talk of rain might mean we're not seeing top speeds today, depending on the type of racetrack...not that it will stop Rosehip.

Rolled 1 (1d2)Right. Time to break up a tie.1. Do lewd things with boys.2. Do lewd things with Stack.
>>591901Was torn between the race and the boys, so I am okay with this.
>>591901They better not have lewd nose art on public display.
>>591947Of course they do. The should get some of Griselda in Baron Samedi makeup. Call it [obviously] Gris-Gris
> Hey, what the fuck are the boys doing!? You didn't authorize an exhibit for them!--“Um, excuse me!” you yell. Several dozen excited girls were crowding past you to visit the unauthorized Kill Devil Hills High School Skycraft Exhibit (lotta capitals there). It was a very modest one to be candid, but it did feature three of their signature P-40 Warhawk planes and another one of their Lockheed Hudsons as well on display, with some of the boys showing the girls around the planes. Jack stands on the wing of one of the P-40s, smiling at you. “Did Griselda say you could just park your planes in our TANK exhibition?”Jack puffs his cheeks out, smiling facetiously. “Well... no.” Really. “But hey, look! People like planes! What can I say? I can't just NOT park planes here and show people the wonders of Skycraft!”One of the girls points to a very worrying metallic gash in the side of the P-40. “What's that from?”“Oh, that's- that's-” Jack quickly and gently pushes her away. “That's nothing, honest. Uh go ahead and check out the Hudson, Patterson's dying for some attention.” The girl walks away. Smooth criminal. He looks at you, smiling a bit. “Girls get a bit frightened at the sport's uh... particular way of fighting.”“Well, at least you don't have any lewd nose art like in WWII or anything,” you say.“Yeah, no, that's saved for a special kind of girl to paint on our planes, Ellie. Like you!” You glare directly at him. “... I can see you didn't like that.”“No, not one bit,” you say. You check your watch, sighing. “Eh, I guess you can stay.” He pumps his fist, grinning. “As long as you donate some money to the team. And try not to get in anybody's pants. I don't want to have to deal with any fraternization charges!”“Hey, I already have a girlfriend.” Jack pats his P-40. How pathetic.“I should go,” you say.“Really?” He tilts his head. “Come on, I'll show you around the P-40. Hell, Jeep Jockey knows a bit more about it, he can teach you a thing or two about flying!”> Nope the fuck out of there.> “Fine. But no stick jokes.”> Other
>>591987> “Fine. But no stick jokes.”I really want to get back to check on Stack or the racetrack, but I'm willing to give this a go.

>>591987> “Fine. But no stick jokes.”Puff our cheeks like Saori.
> “Fine. But no stick jokes.”You sigh. “Fine, but no stick jokes. Or any jokes that can be misconstrued as sexual.”“Pffft, with the way you present yourself, I don't need to make jokes!” Fucker, you'll cut his dick off and stuff it in his nose. “Come on.” He pats the wing, allowing you to climb in. You sigh, hopping up, then looking into the cockpit. “Hey, Jeep Jockey! Your girlfriend's coming to look around!”And not five seconds later did Jeep Jockey come and yell at Jack. “Jack, come on! She's not my girlfriend, I told you!” You sigh, planting your face in your palm. Why did you agree to this.Jack pats Jeep Jockey on the shoulder, smiling. “Show her round the plane.” The Jeep Jockey sighs in frustration, a light blush on his face before climbing up with you. You plop yourself down into the surprisingly roomy cockpit. “Hey, you not gonna let her sit on your lap? Boring!”“Shut up!” You and Jeep Jockey shout that to him at once. He holds up his hands defensively. Jeep Jockey leans on the side of the cockpit. “Alright, well... uh. This is a P-40, one of the best planes you can ask for. Fast, pretty-well armed, and pretty sturdy too. All rounder in all respects, at least in terms of Skycraft.”“Right.” You lean back, and take a look around. “So this thing.” You poke the stick in front of you. “That controls the plane?”“Yep. Take hold of it.” You nod, gently grabbing it. Huh, fits your hand pretty well. “Now that thing there, that's your throttle.” Wait. What? “That thing over there controls the flaps.” Um, okay. “Now, you got several instruments here. You got your altimeter, compass, fuel gauge...” Wait, wait, wait. “And then you also have the radio here-”“Hey.” You hold up a hand, stopping him. “Slow down, Jock. You're showing me around, not reciting from a textbook.”He coughs, clearing his throat. “Well, sorry. Uh... it's been a while.” He shrugs. “I'd love to fly one of these things again given the chance. Hell, I could definitely take you up in one if I ever do.” You roll your eyes. “Just saying.”“So. This thing.” You jiggle the stick a bit. “Roll, yaw, pitch?”“Yep. You also got the trigger for the .50s on it too,” he says. “Engine for this P-40 is an Allison V12. 1,150 horsepower.” Ah, that's powerful.Suddenly, you're blinded. “Ha!” You pull up on something and see that it's a pilot's helmet, complete with goggles. “Jockey!” Jack smiles at you and him. “Helmet's too big for her, that's a surprise!”“Would you-” You drop the helmet into the cockpit. “I don't like being teased! Especially not by boys!” You fold your arms, puffing your cheeks out and blushing a little. “So stop it! I don't like being bullied, not one bit!”Jack looks over at Jeep Jockey. “I can see the little sister aspect you talked about, Jockey.” Oh for fucks sake! “We're just messing with you! Besides, how do you find the plane? Is it cool or is it cool?”> Boast> Neutral> Polite
>>591987> “Fine. But no stick jokes.”I've also updated the pastebin if anons haven't noticed, right down at the bottom I ruined all my work cutting it down by adding some details for what potential conversions/upgrades will give us. Currently have the Cromwell VIIw, Comet and both Early and Late model Challengers. Will add the Avenger when I find the relevant documentation.
>>592244>PoliteI can definitely see the resemblance from Skycraft to Tankery. And they certainly seem to have fun like we do with Tankery...Though we may prefer land. The idea of sitting alone in the cockpit is pretty thrilling though.
>>592244>> PoliteNot as cool as a tank of course, but it has its charms.
>>592244> PoliteWhat's it like taking AA fire?
>>592377Needs bigger boobs tegaki
>>592249To clarify the pastebin's Danon's the Team and the link's in the OP. Speaking of it, as I've now done research for just about all the tanks we have now and will get shortly down the line, are there any details people think are sorely missing from the pastebin currently, stuff you'd like to see in the teamlist etc.? I'd rather avoid penetration numbers for a lot of reasons but other than that I'm open to suggestions.
> Polite“It's nice, I guess.” You lean back. “I can see sort of the similarities between this and Tankery. I just don't really... don't you guys get lonely in just one plane?”“Lonely guys fly bombers,” says Jack. “Look, when you're up there, and all there is just you.” He pokes his forehead, giving a surprisingly stern and thoughtful look to you. “You start thinking. You get ideas. The whole world opens up to you. Of course, if you go up there in the wrong way, you don't think, the blood starts rushing out of your head and you black out.” Right, of course. “Still, it's a pretty fun thing. And it's open to girls!”“I know, we have a Skycraft team too, they're training with you,” you say.“Anyway.” Jeep Jockey offers his hand to help you out. Ugh, fine. You take it, then lift yourself up and out of the cockpit. “Jack, did you uh...”“I did.” Jack leans on the cockpit side, frowning a bit. “Coaches said no again.” Jeep Jockey grunts, sadly frowning. “Look, you can join us maybe after the Fall tournaments, you try out again, okay?”“Right, right.” Jeep Jockey nods, helping you down off the wing. “Well, uh... Ellie. That was nice. Hope you learned a little something.”“I did, I guess,” you say. “Anyway, I-” You receive a text.> FROM: STACKheeey getting stronger, come by the hangar and watch me lift! You sigh. “Friend of mine wants me to go see her. Can you two take care of yourselves and not cause trouble?”Jack leans on Jeep Jockey's shoulder, smiling smugly at you. “Trouble is my middle name.” You roll your eyes. “Come on, you like it.” ROLL EYES MORE.“I'm going to shoot you guys down one day,” you say.Jack leans in, grinning. “That a challenge, sweetheart?” You step back. Ugh! “Anyway, how about you take Jeep Jockey along with you? >>592568>> “Fine. But no whining.”I honestly really like Jack
>>592655Same, he's a typical charming roguish fighter pilot type, what's not to like? I'm still hoping for Gris+Jack
>>592669I kinda like him for Elodie honestly >inb4 reeee must be /u/ can only be /u/
>>592690Nah, Jockey is my only real preference for El so far. Or Iris if we actually got to spend some more time with her.
>>592669>inb4 the lewd nose art has the effect opposite to that of the Anglerfish Dance in that it will get the depicted girl to fall for you.
>>592756That would explain why it's reserved for the special girl, they don't want to abuse their power.
>>592713Jockey has no real discernible personality, I'm not much of a fan.
>>592849I disagree, we've seen glimpses of it, but he just very much keeps to himself/lacks confidence and is almost weirdly proud of that reclusive nature. Which makes sense given his backstory with fucking up his tryout. But he's clearly passionate about Skycrafts, and driven enough that he's still there, doing everything he can to get back behind the stick. El can admire that I think.
>>592972I really don't buy it. He reacts the same way in every situation, largely because of his lack of character development. He just doesn't ping on my radar at all.
> “Fine. But no whining.”You were hoping for a little bit of time alone with the girls, but you suppose you can show Jeep Jockey some courtesy. “Alright, Jeep Jockey. You can come along. But no whining. Okay?”“Whine about what?” he asks.“I dunno. Things!” you shout. “Just come on.” You take his wrist and start dragging him along. Ugh. This is the last thing you want to do today.--“Haha!” Stack tosses her weights down to the ground, looking at you. The loaders along with Miss McPherson are spending their time warming up before the loading competition. She wears naught but a tanktop and some shorts along with her loading gloves as well, grinning. “Hey, hey! Ellie!” She looks at Jeep Jockey, surprised, before adopting a very smug grin. “Hello, Jeep Jockey.”“Hi.” Jeep Jockey waves hello, awkwardly. You fold your arms, sighing. “What's up, Stack? Loosened up and ready?”“You bet!” She flexes her arm, laughing at the solidity of her muscles. “I'm going to load so many shells today, people are gonna think I'm a machine! Yeah!” She claps her hands together, rubbing them up.“So what's the loading competition about?” asks Jeep Jockey.“Simple.” Stack holds up a finger, deciding to give an explanation it seems. “We have a simulated breech, and we have twenty 75mm shells. The goal is to load as many as possible in under two minutes. It's like a home run derby of sorts.” She snaps her fingers, smiling happily at you two. “Now, my opposition is uh...” You all look to see the team's other loaders, who are struggling to train and get ready, except for Iris' own loader, Violet Ainsworth. A lady it seems simply sips tea as she flexes with a twenty-five pound dumb bell. “They're worthy, I suppose.”“Right,” you say. “Want to get out there then!”Stack nods, stepping in between you and Jeep Jockey. “Sure, let's goo...” She blinks, looking at the door as three women look around the hangar, surprised. “On second thought, I forfeit.”“What!?” you shout. “Why?”“I'm suddenly feeling very sick.” Stack coughs. “Cough! Cough!”“... why are you saying cough?” asks Jeep Jockey.“Fuck you, I'm sick.” Stack leans over, groaning. “Oohh... I got uh... st-... stomach problems.” She turns around.[1/2]
>>592997[2/2]“Sammy! Is that you!?” asks one of the women. Stack freezes in place, then turns around, smiling. “Oh, it is you!” One of them, a very busty woman hurries over, wearing the utility khakis of a professional tanker. She hugs Stack, then lifts her up duly. “Haha! Oh, how is the cutest littlest sister doing!?”“I'm fine, thanks,” Stack says quietly, blushing intensely. The woman turns around to the two other women. “Fannie! Lois! Come here! It's little Sammy!” The other two gasp, then hurry on over and absolutely smother Stack with hugs and kisses. “Awww... she's gotten an inch taller, I swear!”“Er- uh... Guys, could you-” Stack is uncharacteristically quiet. “Could you please put me down?”The first woman smiles, placing Stack down. “Aw, and she's wearing a tanktop just like I did when I was in High School!” She gasps, then pulls out her smartphone. “Sammy! Don't move! Lemme get a few pictures!”“Me too!” says another one. “I do declare, Sammy! You've gotten cuter!”“Awww! She's so adorable!” says the third, ruffling up Stack's hair.Stack looks at you and mouths, “help me”.> Introduce yourself.> Distract them.> “Later.”> Other

>>592763 Then we get that one guy that paints three girls doing stuff.
>>593013>> Introduce yourself.
So while we wait anons, what's your tankfu? Pic very much related.
> Introduce yourself. You tap the shoulder of one of them. She looks at you, surprised. “Oh, I'm sorry, was we interrupting something?” She offers her hand. “I apologize mighty deeply.” You shake it, smiling at her. “My name is Hoel Roberts!” She brushes back the single braid hanging behind her ear. You can definitely tell Hoel is Stack's sister, judging by the 6 or 7 inches she has on her, and the big breasts, and the non-tan skin either, and the blue eyes and blonde hair. “Girls!” She nudges the other two, which snaps them out of embarrassing Stack. “Don't be rude, introduce yourselves.”The one with a pair of pigtails nods to you, shaking your hand. “Lois Roberts! My sisters call me Lo.”The other with the glasses and longer hair beneath a black plain baseball cap smiles at you. “I'm Fannie. It's nice to meet you, Miss...”“Elodie Zumwalt,” you say. I'm Stack's Commander.”“Oh, are you!?” the trio say. “Wow! You're the rising superstar, well next to Iris, she's someone to meet today, but you! Wow!” You give them another look. Let's see, blonde hair, blue eyes, non-tanned skin, big busts, actual average height. Yeah, you definitely see the resemblance between them and Stack. They look over at Jeep Jockey. “Is this your boyfriend?”“No!” You sneer at the thought. Jeep Jockey as well remains quiet, deciding it seems not to make things worse. “He's just-... accompanying me today.”“Well, he's adorable!” Hoel pinches Jeep Jockey's cheek, making him flinch. Stack decides to slowly make her exit as you three talk. You try to stop her, but too late now. “So, tell us, Elodie! How is Sammy, has she been good to you?”“Yes, of course!” You fold your arms. “Why do you ask?”“Well, she works so hard.” Lo folds her arms, sighing concernedly. “The poor thing can only really load in a tank if we're honest.” You place your hands on your hips. Well.“Now, Lo. Don't be so rude.” Hoel pouts a little. “She does loading very well! And we're proud of her for that. Elodie, she is such a great loader, is she not?”> Boast> Neutral> Polite
>>593314> BoastWe are proud of every single woman on our team, and Stack is by no means an exception.
>>593314> BoastShe is literally the best on the team.
>>593314>> BoastWe wouldn't have gotten this far without her.
>>593314> BoastJust a loader? She's a trainer, teacher, morale boost, and veteran player. She's done the critical hard work that commanders rarely deal with. Commanders just decide where the team's going. Stack is making sure we can get there. You should be nicer to your sister. She's a great tanker, not just a pretty face in a cupola.
>>593374> not just a pretty face in a cupola.Loaders don't get a cupola though, just a hatch.
>>593434its a dig at being a commander. I know we're a commander, but I think we'd be a lot worse off without Stack. She does the ugly hard work. And a loader is the backup everything else in the tank, so she deserves respect, even if we have to burn ourselves to get it.
> Boast“She's the perfect loader,” you say. “She doesn't just ram the shell into the breech, she keeps our crew together. She's been teaching the newbies all about tanks, she's always the one to suggest something to me when I don't get what's going on, she's always the one to help fix the tank when it breaks down, and especially she's doing all the critical stuff that I as a commander rarely deal with. Basically, Stack is the best.”Hoel smiles at Lo. “See? Someone appreciates Sammy's niche talents!” Niche? “Why, bless Sammy's heart, she tries hard! I'm just so sad she can't measure up to the things we do.”“Of course not, she does even better,” you say.Fannie smiles, wrapping her arm around you. “We like you, Ellie! You're straight with us! Tell you what! We were hoping to tell Sammy this but...” They look around. “She seems to have pulled a Harry Houdini, so we'll tell you so you can tell her. We're gonna be staying on the LGA for the rest of the summer!”“Really? Why?”Hoel and Fannie look at Lo, who immediately blushes a little. “Um... let's just say that uh- hehe...” She bites her lip, rubbing the back of her head. “Okay, I saw the cute boys flying around in the Skycraft team and I really wanted to see them.” She looks over at Jeep Jockey, and immediately slides over to him. “Of course, I could probably settle for you, sweetie!”“A-...” Jeep Jockey blinks nervously. “Are you flirting with me?”Hoel presses up against Jeep Jockey's back. “Aw, don't tease the poor little boy, Lo! He's just a kid!”“Yeah!” Fannie rubs up against his arm. Jeep Jockey looks like he's going to burst. “He doesn't know any better! Skycraft is such a dangerous and barbaric thing!” Fannie takes Jeep Jockey's cheeks and makes him face her. “Why, we should put you in a tank, pretty you up a little, and you'll be a proper gentleman!”“Um. I- uh... uh- we- um...” Jeep Jockey sputters, red in the cheeks. “W- we should be going, right, Ellie?”> The race tracks do call to you...> I should go find Stack.> Yeah, it's about lunch time anyway.> Other
>>593483Ah I thought you just meant they shouldn't focus on how adorable she is but her skill at tankery. Depends, the RO/Co-driver/Hull Gunner is actually the backup everything else in most tanks. The Loader is generally the SiC in at least British tanks because they have their own turret hatch and are far enough back in the turret to reach/use the radio easily, so they can take over from the Commander if he buys it. For instance, in most Command Tanks the COs adjutant would take the loader's position.

You're going to be sitting in on the Loader's competition, right?”“Of course!” says Hoel. “We'll see you there, darling! Lo will also be taking part in the tank race later this afternoon!” Oh great, that's a comforting thought.--You spend most of your lunch time looking around for Stack. In the meantime however... “Here you go.” Jeep Jockey hands you some cotton candy. Uh, is this really the time for it? “Look, Jack said I'd give you some cotton candy or something. I mean- I know it's not a great time but you know, you can't go hunting for friends with familial issues without cotton candy.”Hmph. You take a bite out of the cotton candy. This is totally inappropriate. You take another bite out of the sweet sugary cotton candy. What's he thinking? You take another bite. “Well, next time, be a little more considerate!” you say with a mouth full of cotton candy. You keep looking around, then finally see Stack near the tents set up for the tanks participating in the race later today. She's pacing around, rubbing her hands, muttering to herself. “Stack!” you yell. She looks over, surprised and a bit frightened. “Stack, where were you? We were looking all over for you! The Loader's Competition starts in like ten minutes!”“I know, I said I forfeited though,” she says.“You can't forfeit, your sister's are going to be watching!” says Jeep Jockey. You look at Jeep Jockey. What the fuck, man? “What? They are!”“I know!” says Stack. “Look- I'll just say that I caught a bad case of the stomach flus or some such, and it'll be blameless! > “Stack's sisters are here, Rosehip. They're kind of a damper on Stack.”“Are they?” says Rosehip. “Aw.” She rubs her chin, thinking on it a little.“I don't know if you can sympathize,” says Stack. “It's like everyone has as many older siblings that I do.”“Actually.” Rosehip has put on the studious and elegant face. What? She has that? “I have seven siblings.” You all look at her, surprised. “Well, I live with my family, all 18 members. But the point is, I can sympathize with your plight, Stack-san. It would seem we may be bedfellows in fact.” Rosehip offers her hand to Stack, who takes it and stands up. “Siblings are different, we cannot choose family. Sometimes they hurt us, sometimes they coddle us too much. I've experienced both.”Stack sighs. “So, do you have advice then?”“The only advice I can give is that you must show your siblings the person you are, not the person they want you to be,” says Rosehip. “Show them that you are happy that you are the person that you are. Is that okay?”Stack glances away a bit, then nods slowly. “I guess.”“Excellent.” Rosehip places her hand on Stack's shoulder. “Stack-san. Do not give up! The Saint Gloriana Senshadou will never allow one to give up in the face of such wretched onslaughts! We endure everything as that is the Way of the Tank!” Stack slowly starts to smile, apparently understanding the advice Rosehip is giving her now. She looks up, and sees Rosehip offering a hand in respect. Not to shake however at waist height, but to grab and clench at the face level. Stack grabs it, and they clench their hands tight. She's got it!“Right, right.” Stack nods. “I get you!” She smiles at you. “Out of my, Ellie.” She pushes you and Jeep Jockey like swingout tavern door. “I got a loading competition to win!”> + 60 MORALE TO STACK--“Ladies and Gentlemen, the loaders of the Lafayette Girls Academy NATO team!” yells Regina. You all sit in bleachers around a small clearing where eight of the veteran loaders (the newest clubs decided to opt out), have gathered around their simulated breaches. “Give them a round of applause!” You all applaud.“Wooo!” Winona holds up a sign that says, “STACK BEATS EVERYTHING!” You rallied with the rest of your crew for the competition. Stack waves at everybody, rolling up the sleeves on her shirt as she prepares herself. You look down further into the crowd and see her sisters watching as well, recording on their phones, chirping encouragement to Stack.“Give it your all, Stack!” says Hoel. “Show 'em what the Roberts are made of!”Winona nudges you. “Hey, Ellie! > “Just cheer, Winona, it's fine.”“Just cheer, Winona, it's fine.” Winona frowns a little. “I don't like talking before I do my walking, but Stack has this wrapped up.” She's the most elite loader here, and the strongest even if she weren't a loader. She has to have this covered.Regina continues shouting over the microphone. “We have one open rack for a volunteer, who would like to face off!?” Silence from the crowd.Suddenly. “Da!” Stepping out of the crowd now is a very familiar girl in the Kursk Girls Boarding School uniform. You smell her before you even see her. She wipe a bit of muck and dust off her cheek, smiling. “Oryola Kuznetsov will volunteer to be the tribute as you people say here!”… okay, you spoke too soon.Regina blinks, then nods. “Loaders, take your marks.” Stack looks positively awed by Oryola as she takes off her jacket, wearing only the black tank top, and puts on her gloves. You look around the crowd now to see Rozaliya cheering her throat out for Oryola, along with girls visiting from other schools as well. There was Meryl Hoffmeister from Camp Gagetown, Carolina Greene and Dix Hauser from George Washington Military Academy and Robert A. Heinlein too. Orange Pekoe and Rosehip watched from the sides as well. And even Mei from Zhou Enlai was taking notes it seems. “Get set!” Everyone braced themselves, ready. “LOAD!”The timer started for two minutes. Taking the lead immediately by loading two shells in five seconds were Oryola and Stack, with Violet taking a close (and honestly somewhat casual third). The rest of the loaders continued as they were, at league average so to speak. The crews of all the loaders cheered, even you were applauding as Winona, Josephina, and Ingrid yelled out for Stack to kick Oryola's ass.Oryola loaded in her seventh shell, tied with Stack. “You are pretty good! You are from Zumwalt's crew?” she asks to Stack.Stack nods. “How did you guess?”“Only an Elite Commander can have such an Elite Loader!” she says back. The two continue, with the minute mark coming to pass. They were about to spend all twenty shells, which dropped loudly onto the ground.“They're still tied!” says Winona. With the nineteenth shell coming up, they pushed them through. But as they both lifted up their last shell, something happened.Stack's fingers slipped. She almost dropped it. But the mistake was enough that Oryola was able to get the last shell in just a second ahead.[1/2]
>>594624After the two minutes were up and all twenty shells were loaded, the top three scores were calculated.> Oryola Kuznetsov – 1:06> Samantha B. Roberts – 1:07> Violet Ainsworth – 1:10“And the winner is the sudden arrival, Oryola Kuznetsov!” You all applaud Oryola as she shakes hands with each and every loader, all of them sore from the exertion except for Stack and Violet.“Good work,” says Stack. She seems a bit disappointed. “You would have beat me were it not for that slip.” Stack nods, aware of it. Oryola thusly places her hand on Stack's shoulder. “Here is tip.” She whispers something into Stack's ear, apparently some kind of secretive advice. The other loaders jealously look on. After that, Oryola pats a very happy Stack on the head, spreading some dust on her. “You are good, da!”With the little trophy being awarded to Oryola, Stack runs over to you. “That was great! Went better than I expected!” You all look over to Stack's sister, who all cheer happily and wave to you all. “I uh... You know how the track works?”“Yep! It's actually a scaled down version of the Top Gear Test Track! I watch Top Gear a lot anyway so I should know how it works, vaguely.” Well, you'll guide her all the same. All the turret tops for the tanks have maps of the course installed for the commanders to guide their drivers. There were a few straight aways, some tight and large turns, and that Hammerhead. However, that wasn't really your biggest concern. What was your big concern was that it was on mud and dirt. This is going to suck. After taking several minutes to prepare, the race was on. “The LGA NATO Team welcomes everybody to the Tank Exhibition Fair's Tank Race! Three laps in total! You take an early start into third place, with Rosehip navigating the initial chaos into first place, Carolina into second place, you in third, Dix in fourth, Lo in fifth. “Get ready, Josephina! Here we go-” Dix immediately rearends you. “Dix!” you yell.“There's no rule against body contact!” she yells back. She's immediately rear ended by Lo. “Hey! So what sort of music motifs does LGA use?
>>595546LGA does have the fictional Lafayette Girls Academy March but other than that, When Johnny Comes Marching Home is the unofficial anthem.
>>595546The ITL team also has a Bluegrass/Folk thing going on, but other than that yeah our school march is a fictional song so we don't really have as much of a 'musical signature' as say St Gloriana or BFP. It is something I'd like to see more of in the quest though, especially now that we have the LMC crew.
> “Josephina, wait for the openings, be patient.”“Be patient, Josephina. Wait for an opening!”“Oui!”The first lap thankfully isn't too bad. It's actually quite leisurely, holding third place. Up until Hammerhead. Dix starts to speed past you. “Hey!” you yell. She blows you a raspberry, then hurries off into third with you now in fourth. But as the chaos of the tight turn comes in, suddenly Carolina spins out too hard. “Look out, Josie!” Your Cromwell speeds past, barely dodging it. You're not digging your tanks out of quagmires today!--The soft rain had evolved into a complete downpour. With the rain expected to go all the way into the night, and possibly even into tomorrow, you all settled into the Tank Hangar for a late dinner. The technically was still ongoing, but with most of the tanks back into the hangar and with the rain most of the spectators had left. That just left you, the NATO team, and the foreign crews as well.Oh, and the Skycraft boys. “Whooo!” Jack rushes through the rain, wearing only a t-shirt and his brown pants. And it was my fault that it didn't. I got too worked up over facing my sister that I didn't see the big picture and I didn't see that overall Gertrude was basically handing us the match.” She folds her arms, sighing deeply. “So yeah, I'm sorry, to all of you for wasting your time. So... yeah.”Iris clears her throat. “Forgive me.” You all look to her. “I know it's not in a lady's way to exaggerate or to boast needlessly. Yes, we do deserve a better Commander. But why do we deserve one when we already have the best Commander already?” You look to Griselda, who seems absolutely floored by that statement.Suvorov and the Historians all salute, smiling at Griselda. “We have never had so much fun until you recruited us, thank you, Griselda!”“Dziękuję, Griselda!” say all the Poles as they jump up and cheer. Mainly she teases us and we tell her to stop being dumb/lewd. Gris is different too though closer to the mark. Kitten and Trude were somewhat special in that they already had a relationship at the start of the Quest, they were childhood friends and already very close, Elodie came to LGA pretty much alone. Also, since it looks like “Ugh... just this once.” is going to win, do we want to amend it to drag Jockey in as well? He should learn to have fun.
>>596503Schteel better be auto-including that if he knows what's good for 'im.
>>596503Admittedly, I came in at LGA2 around gGagetown, so I am not familiar with LGA1. I just figured it was based on our friendships. Thats all.As for what we should happen. I figure its a no survivors situation. So Jockey will get in on it too. Same as Iris, same as Peakoe, if there were more ZES students around they'd get it too. If that happened I would laugh my ass off though.>How does this conteibute to saber metrics and tankery, you're all fools.>...>Open fire.
>>596534I actually joined LGA 2 around the same time, just read the archives to catch up. Would recommend, LGA 1 actually gets pretty feelsy at some points and is a solid read.
> “Ugh... just this once.”You open your mouth to protest. These guys are going to get sick! They'll miss out on work! They're making themselves absolutely dirty! They're wearing white blouses which are getting extremely wet and extremely see-through in front of BOYS!…and yet, you feel very left out. “Fine, ugh...” You toss off your jacket and also pull down your pantyhose as well. Don't want to get those dirty. You feel out your arm for the rain, and immediately it gets soaked. Yikes! That's quite a lot of rain! But whatever! You rush out and immediately jump into the mud. You're going to slide right into the action. And instead you go plop face down into the mud. You hear your crew burst into laughter. “She was like a bird that just discovered gravity!” says Winona. You sit up, then wipe the mud out of your face. You place your glasses back into the pavement of the hangar, then get to rushing at Winona. “Ah! No! Hahaha!” You tackle her to the ground, but she immediately rolls you around back into the mud. The two of you splash mud into each others faces, laughing at each other.“To victory!” yells Suvorov as she holds up a broomstick, held up by her crewmembers. Naval Studies Rescue as well opposes them. The two mad crews go rushing at each other in a joust. The picture in Suvorov's head probably went more like a traditional joust with one side getting knocked down and the other enjoying a light hearted celebration. Instead, a wild card emerged in Rosehip carrying a very excited and laughing Pekoe as she knocked both parties over.“As the Irish say, Faugh a ballagh!” yells Rosehip. Carolina and Meryl swamp each other in mud before being sprayed with water from the hose by Dix. Perrrine Hobart and several of the Kursk commanders, even Oryola toss and sling mud at each other. And out of all of it, Jack finds Griselda then picks her up on her shoulder. “I got her! Catch me if you can, losers!” he yells to Luisa and Yuno. Griselda screams and laughs as she playfully kicks and pounds on Jack's back. For some reason, that's making you jealous and you don't know why.You and Winona stop your wrestling, then look over to see Iris and company. “Aren't you guys going to join us?” asks Winona.Iris huffs. “We will not sully ourselves playing around in mud and filth-” A stray clod of mud lands on her face.[1/2]
>>596544>>596534http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Girls%20Und%20Panzer:%20LGA%20Quest LGA1 is real good. Read it.
>>596547[2/2]“Victory!” yells Serafina. “Later!” She runs off.Iris wipes her face off, then tosses the umbrella away. “Come back here!” She runs over Serafina, and is followed reluctantly by the rest of the Etiquette Club. You grin, laughing with Winona at it all. Then you look to see Jeep Jockey, still sitting his Dodge waiting for it to be over so he can drive the guys all home. “Winona, how's your aim?”Winona rubs a ball of mud together. “Never better.” She winds up and throws directly at an unsuspecting Jeep Jockey. The mud goes right in his ear.“Ah! What the hell!?” You all laugh at him as he glares at you. You wave him over. Come on, have some fun, boy. Grow a spine! He sighs, looking around. After a few minutes, he takes off his jacket then rushes headlong into the rain just like you. And unlike you, he dives and goes sliding through the mud right at you all. He laughs as you all tackle and splatter him with mud.As this goes on, the Zhou Enlai girls all look on. Mei folds her arms, disapprovingly glaring at everybody, before being unceremoniously pushed into the mud by Charlotte Tuffin and Eri Barkmann. “Whoops!” says Barkmann. Mei looks up, giving the two of them a death glare. “Run, Charlotte!” yells Eri. Mei slips around in the mud, trying to get up before immediately running on after them. And even further to the side as this happens, you see Kit Blumenthal taking pictures of this on her phone. “What a scoop!”You grin, laughing as you let Winona lay on your back and feel the rain.Oh God, you haven't had so much fun in one day.
>>596556https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl-ZqQ_InX8That's it for tonight. Sorry for the one thread weekend but hopefully this coming weekend should be free. I gotta go to bed immediately cuz work in the morning, but if you got questions dump them in thread and I'll get to them as soon as possible. Hope you all enjoyed.Follow at: https://twitter.com/GermanSchteelAsk at: http://germanschteel.tumblr.com/Book Tumbles: http://germanschteelbookblog.tumblr.com/See you next time.
>>596578Thanks for running Schteel. MGB this week?
>>596578Thanks for writing!
>>596578That was a really fun thread GS. If I had the skills I'd draw a comemorative photo, but I will just enjoy the moment.Charlotte and Eri are now confirmed best ZES.Can't wait for Kit's report and tweets on this. Not sure if that made us more popular or not.
>>596578Night Boss, thanks for running!
>>596578See you next time, GS!
>>596594Definitely more, I mean who could detest such fun? Even ZES were into it and they're basically the concept of "no fun allowed" given form.
>>596578Thanks for running.
>>596622Be kinda fun if this gave us points. But I think us just becoming popular because we had fun once is kind of hilarious. Good for Ellie too.It will be fun to see the reactions from coworkers and our subordinates though. Good for a laugj as Ellie panics about her image.
>>596578Thanks man, have a nice week
>>596578Gonna put the call out again in case people missed it in the middle of the thread but I've got the pastebin: http://pastebin.com/bUU2v0z8 to a point where I'm mostly happy with it and it won't require any major additions for some time, so I'm looking for what other things Schteel and/or anons would like to see added to or even removed from it. For instance, were the Conversion/Upgrade primers at the bottom of the pastebin a helpful addition?>>596665It probably won't help with our rapidly growing number of groupies.
>>596695>http://pastebin.com/bUU2v0z8Just finished reading it but didn;t the late model of Challenger decreased the size of the turret too>
>>596879No, that's the Avenger, a wholly different tank (or rather tank destroyer) with a lower hull, smaller, open top turret and a few other changes. The Challenger Early and Lates turrets differed only in the addition of 1 inch applique armour plates added to the turret 'cheeks' to the left and right of the mantlet/nose piece.
>>596695I have to imagine that they're going to expect a show on rainy days. That and that one girl we chewed out is going to be super confused. Maybe she'll join the team to understand.
>>596891But why don't you add the Avenger? Unless you ddin't have time for it yet?
>>596906I just haven't been able to find the data for it yet. The thing never saw combat and only equipped two battalions for a brief period after the war, so finding indepth info on it is tough to say the least.
>>596916but it's chassis was based on the cromwell and was equipped, it should be serviceable.
>>596936Yeah it should be, though I'm not really sure why we'd pick it of all the options. I'm not saying we won't be able to get it, just that I'm not going to put it in the pastebin until I can get some solid information on its armour profile in particular. But it really is a hardcore SPATG rather than a Cruiser/SP hybrid that the Challenger is. Most damning to my eyes is the lack of vision options for the driver. As far as I can tell they either get a tiny peephole (smaller than the Cromwell/Challenger/Comet's sizable porthole) or can drive turned out. No periscopes or anything. Which is fine for a TD, but in Tankery it will severely limit our options.
>>596954i think it's a peephole but the commander with the exposed vision slit is relied on even more.Though considering our line up, the TD is not exactly that bad.
>>596963That exposed slit between canopy and turret will have to be closed up to meet NATO regs though. And I'd say it actually is pretty bad or at least bordering upon it, we've got an abundance of TDs, more than enough for a 20 tank team, between the Jagdtiger, Jagdpanther, SU-100, Hellcat, Jackson and probably the Strv m/42 if we convert it to the prototype with the turreted 7.5cm M/43. That's 6 TDs, 3 turreted and 3 casemate, with the potential that the Historians might take their Pz III to a StuG III(I hope now, the Pz III M is an underappreciated vehicle) for a 7th.
>>596999>Strv m/42is the M/42 a medium tank even with the long barrel 75mm, not a td?
>>597014With the long 75mm it's really more of a TD, the turret is such a large and thinly armoured target that attempting to use it as a medium tank with its already decidedly average speed and sub-par armour is unwise to say the least. It's more like an M10 in firepower and protection.
>>597024i guess? but i feel like we're treading over a thin line on what's a medium tank and what's not. I think it's still qualifies as a Medium Tank on the same level as the Pz 38(T), and the Chi-ha series.
>>596578Thanks for the fun, boss
>>597034Maybe, tank classifications are hardly an exact science, with every country and 'expert' basically defining them completely differently to each other. But regardless of whether you class it as a medium, it would be best used as a tank destroyer, so I'd effectively say it is one for the purposes of our lineup.
>>597055i guess so.Speaking of the topic of tank classifications, wasn't there a 90mm gun for a sherman with a full turret. and besides the open turret what's the difference?
>>597061I remember the Israelis making a Super Sherman with a 105mm gun.
>>597061> and besides the open turret what's the difference? The difference between what? A Sherman w/ 90mm and a Jackson? Well the Sherman with the 90mm had a Pershing turret for one, which was far more heavily armoured than the Jackson's but it was also far heavier and a bit larger. The M36 Jackson also has a slightly different hull than a regular M4A3 but it's not by much. The main thing is that turret, which would probably have made the M4A3 w/ 90mm incredibly top heavy, like KV-2-don't-park-on-a-hill-or-you'll-tip-over top heavy.>>597066Aside from being a horrifying abomination the Super Sherman is a bit too late timeline wise to see use in tankery.
>>597075So the 90mm M4A3 with a Pershing turret is no good?
>>597080I don't know for certain, there isn't a whole lot of stuff I can find on how exactly it performed during its test/s. but I'm leery of one off prototypes, especially frankentanks. Add that to its new turret weighing almost twice as much as regular M4A3s and that tank already being top heavy, I just don't forsee it being very practical as a design given the information I do have.
>>597082the 76mm turret made the m4A3 top heavy?
>>597088No the Sherman's just top heavy design by its nature. Not dangerously so usually but it's relatively high hull profile gives it a higher centre of gravity than something like say a Cromwell or Pershing. Slapping a Pershing turret on top would simply exacerbate that to the point where it became a problem.
>>597092I see, but what about the Super Hellcat? Wouldn't that be Top Heavy?
>>597111Nah, the GMC 90mm M18 or "Super Hellcat" actually worked pretty much fine with the M36's turret, except when you fired the gun at which point the whole tank would jump two feet into the air and nearly tip over if fired over the side.
>>597123So no Super Hellcat then for our team? or extremely low priority?
>>597127Very low priority, bordering on not getting it, I should actually clean it out of the recommended upgrade list. It wasn't very accurate thanks to that aforementioned recoil, getting groupings about twice the size of an M36 at the same range during its tests.
>>597129Is it that bad? in the original LGA it was okay.
>>597141It's not terrible, the 90mm is a scary gun if it can hit the target and combine that with the M18's speed and it's dangerous, but it's also inconsistent because of the inaccuracy. It's actually a similar situation to the Firefly, where you have to consider if that bigger gun is worth the losses in accuracy, concealment and usability. And yes the Firefly wasn't a very accurate tank, at least not by the standards of the 17 pounder.
>>597161i still say we keep it on the reccomendation list but on the low end. I do feel like we should put the long barrel 75 abd the long barrel 50mm for the swedish tank and the panzer respectively on the top of out list.
>>597163The Strv won't be a priority until we get a crew but yeah, the Panzer III getting an L/60 should be one of our next steps. I also want to do some low overhead work for Oliver, namely cutting down the bulkhead that seperates Driver and Hull Gunner positions so Ingrid and Jose can actually have some human contact while on the move aside from the intercom, and a retune of the engine to bring it up to a Meteor MkIC for an extra 50ish hp.
>>597175Can we even do the first part?
talking about 90mm Sherman, what about M36B1?I recall some source says it got electric-driven turret (which is plus compared to handcracked one), but i can't find it again so maybe i wrong on this.
>>597368we have a m36 mocel
>>596587Yep. We'll start it on Wednesday or so.>>596695Everything in your pastebin is helpful and also kind of scares me with all the numbers.>>597368The B1 and the stock M36 utilized different chassis, the B1 was on the M4A3 Sherman and the stock M36 on the M10 Wolverine chassis. It's not outside the realm of imagination that the B1 would get the electric turret though considering the Sherman had it as well.
>>597827So aside from some wicked cash, a front page article on NATO newsites, a potential finalist for NATO photo of the year. Did anything else come out of this weekend? All Star points? Potential tank crew suitors? Sponsors?
>>597913Some stuff I forgot to include:> + 15 ALL STAR POINTS> + 20 SKILL TO ALL CREWMEMBERS> + 10 STRENGTH TO ALL CREWMEMBERSAs for potential tank crew suitors and sponsors, that'll be up to Griselda. The only primary sponsors for LGA's NATO team for now are Dodge and Winona's rich as fuck Dad. But if LGA can continue the momentum of good times going, they'll be sure to attract more.
>>597923Well hot damn. That has most of the girls, save Ingird at over 50 in both stats. Not bad at all. Hope there is another festival in the future, because that was a fantastic result.I would suppose that our points still puts us behind Iris. Maybe ahead of Gris-Gris?Anyways, I look forward to Kit's report and Ellie's inevitable panic and regret in the future.Though I would rather that events like this are a common occurance since I'm pretty sure having fun is good publicity.
>>597939Iris is still number one on LGA with Gris-Gris in third. In terms of All-Star positioning however, Iris seems to be hitting a peak with the All-Star voting and while she is a shoe-in for the All-Star game, others like Dix Hauser, Carolina Greene, Perrine Hobart, and Meryl Hoffmeister (Hoffmeister especially as she's slowly catching up to Iris.)I need to keep better track of all this.
>>597952Where is Eli in the ranking?
>>597952Perhaps an additional pastebin with a top 10-15 would be useful? Don't know what NATOs all star cutoff line is but you could set it up like a playoff race with the big red line to show whether people like Ellie, Gris, etc are outside looking in?
>>597956Eli is around 40th place in the overall All-Star voting, with Iris in 7th and GrisGris in 12th. (First overall in the WL is Perrine Hobart but not by much).>>597957There's an idea. Might implement that in the future.
>>597960Yikes Eli has to catch up a bit to make the top 20, which I would assume is the vote-in cutoff. But then again, this actually is pretty fair. Ellie is the epitome of a blue-collar tanker. Nothing flashy, but gets the job done. But that naturally doesn't equate to actual votes by Joe and Jane tankery-fan.40th is pretty respectable for Eli when put in that light. If we successfully pulled off more manuevers we'd be higher. But I'd rather we win conventionally than pull something flashy, succeed but lose the battle.I still have hopes for either a NATO comissioner's pick or a peer vote...You know, the voices that really matter.
>>597368>>597827Both versions of the M36 have powered turret traverse using the same electric powered hydraulic system as most US tanks.
>>598172The oil gear.
>>598555I think so, and the oilgear was certainly the best of the US hydraulic traverse gears.
