They call you the broken horn Leader, regardless of how long it takes. You run the Himehorn Support Center. In order to help your kind (and, turns out, other kinds), you take calls of every sort and from every voice, from your room almost at the peak of the Greathorn, a colossal aircraft that hovers over the calm waters that sunk the world.

You are currently sitting at the center of your U shaped desk, clutching your Leaderhorn plushie with one hand, surrounded by Roomba (your personal assistant, a blonde girl wearing red glasses and a white coat) and Ado (a shirtless, tall, way too adonic man with long blonde hair, who does tech support), as Roomba stares blankly at the black screen while you and Ado argue cereals.

"It's the breakfast of champions. It says so in the box." you point at the red box sitting at your left, over the desk; in it, a man is doing squats using two worlds as weights on each end of the bar. He seems desperate. "And it just get's better with milk."

"Fuck milk, you should try yogurt. And some oats. And cardio. What the hell, you spend all day shut inside this cube taking calls, no wonder you are getting fat."

"That's Roomba's fault." you state, then nod.

Yet as you both turn at her, Roomba is still staring at the black screen.

"Hey, toaster." It's Ado, drawing her attention. "No point in worrying when you can't help. Sit down, have some cereal. You are making me nervous."

"Maybe we should call." says Roomba as she sits.

You "hmm", softly. Five minutes ago, a man called; he was hiding in a locker after shitting himself, his collonial ship was invaded by an extremely dangerous individual. Leateli. For good measure, you input her name on the small white window in the screen and search for her information in The Link; and are left empty-handed yet again. Leaderhorn will have the details (she had to deal with her the most in the past), but what you got to work with:
-is that she's a nohorn girl, wearing short, assimetric leather clothes made from different kinds swen togueter.
-has, at most, 15 nohorn years.
-shows no qualms about killing for fun.
-if she dies, the whole world ends.
-if she goes unconcious for more than six hours, the whole world ends.
-if she wants to, the whole world ends.
-has no particular powers.

It has been six minutes now. Last thing you told the man was to find a console to send you the current coordinates of the colonnial ship, and since he rudely questioned your mental health when you called his phone might make sound when he turns it on.

Hmm... White is available for deployment, yet neither Captain or Leaderhorn are still on the list. White is an Arma; she's extremely sturdy and can manipulate GOG gas, an invisible muscle that's all around her.

And you also have to warn the rest of everyone about Leateli's presence.
This seems harsh.
>>
Start making the calls. Is there a broadcast radio that we can send information over? One that we make a call, and anyone who's got it tuned in will hear it?

That would make it much easier.
>>
>>590765

"We need to warn every hornmother at once. Ado, can we do that?"
"Nope. There aren't that many hornmothers out there anyway; we got, like, eleven I think."
The overall himehorn populace, compared to the rest of the world, is rather scarce. And it isn't hard to figure out why.
>>
>>590829
Start making calls. We should get a code word that we can just call up, say to whomever answers and they know what to do

Like Leateli [co-ordinates] and whoever answers tells their herd, and the herd does what it has to do. Would speed things up.

We should mention this to Leaderhorn when we talk to her next.
>>
>>590892

You close your eyes, letting the tension slip. "We start at once, then. One by one."

"I can help." Roomba picks up a phone, and shakes it a bit for good measure. "What do we tell them?"

"Well, the coordinates." Ado is still hitting the cereal; for a while, the sound of his chewing fills the room. "Which we don't have."

Your finger moves fast and steady as you mark Leaderhorn's number on the keyboard; yet she's still not answering.
>>
>>590941
We make the call. She's been spotted. Location to be confirmed. Stand by for updates.
>>
>>590958
A white screen spawns in the black monitor over the one in front of you, this one facing you at a fourty five degree. It has a list of all the hornmothers, a picture, number, and note for each of them.
Even Ado picks up a phone. You mark a number, and wait for the static to take the line.
"This is the Support Center; Leateli has been spotted." You think it over; do they even know who she is? "She's very dangerous, mean, and bullies hard. And she could be anywhere. Stay away from everything."
You can clearly hear someone chewing on the other side of the line.
"Anyone there?"
"N-no bully!"
"Good."
It goes on for a while.
"This is the Support Center, we know a very dangerous nohorn is on the loose so hide and stay away from other ships and nohorns."
"What?! But they are everywhere! EVERYWHERE! MY EGGS...!"
You give a sad smirk to the screen. Their eggs are broken anyway everyday by their haremhorns.
"Are you, by chance, in one of the capital ships?"
"Yes?"
"Then don't worry."
You hang and sigh. You turn to Roomba.
"It's very dangerous," she says, "so stay away from other ships, at least for a while. Leateli is very mean."
Then you turn to Ado.
"Do you want your eggs smashed? No? No? Why not? Oh okay I see, if that's so then stay inside and away from any one other aircraft."
...Well, as long as it works. You dial one final number.
"This is the Support Center; a very dange-"
"She's here."
>>
>>591079
Where! Where are you? [and who did we call]
>>
>>591196
You look up. The last hornmother seems to be one of the oldest, "Notes" only says "Grumpy".
"Where are you?"
"We came to the nohorns ship for candles, I wanted to see if candles made the cake better somehow. I'm with Haremhorn, we are in a ugly room with a lot of pipes. It's small, and it smells like rain but strong. The other Haremhorn is waiting for us in the ship, in the hangar. There's a lot of screaming too, what do we doooo?"
>>
>>591272
Can we contact that Haremhorn? She might know the co ordinates?

Or can she call the Haremhorn on the ship and have her call us with her location?
>>
>>591294

"Ado, I need to contact this ship."

He frowns slightly. "Why, isn't the hornmother in there?"

You shake your head. "This is the one with the mobile test model from the templars, she's hidding with her haremhorn in one of the engine rooms. The other haremhorn is in the ship, which is in the hanger."

"Hey, you can just track the damn thing."

Hmm, he's right. It's what you did with the driving hornmother, after all. You input a few numbers and a map spawns in the black screen in front of you, in it a flickering green point.

"3252-5352. There she is." You turn towards Roomba and Ado. Call everyone again. Have them tell everyone they can to stay away from there."
>>
>>591404
Call Leaderhorn! For Great JUSTICE!
>>
>>591430
You dial Leaderhorn's number again.

biiiiiiip
biiiiiiiiiiiip
biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip

No response. You check the availability screen yet again.

CAPTAIN: Deployed.
LEADERHORN: Deployed.
WHITE: Available.

Hmm. Whatever she and Captain are doing must be pretty hard; they've been out for a while.
>>
>>591447
OH for Egg's sake Leaderhorn! You know what's going on.

How good is White at non-violence?
>>
>>591459
She has as much diplomacy as a happy 6 years old kid with a tenis ball.
>>
>>591483
Got it. Deploying White in a rescue mission against Leateli will end badly.
>>
>>591483
Call White anyway. She wanted so say something to us.
>>
>>591690
You dial White's number.
"Yup?"
"Was there something you wanted to say to me?"
"Uh?"
>>
>>591875
After beating up the bully with the gun, you said we need to talk. I'm waiting on a callback, so lets talk.
>>
>>591898

"After you almost got blown by the bully with the pulsar sniper."

"Ooooooh" She pauses. "Gimme a second, I want you looking at my eyes for this!"

"W-"

And it isn't long before the screen flickers to life in front of you, revealing a half-smiling White, yet with risen eyebrows. Your mind is still on Leateli, yet you face the enlarged White on the screen.

"Ok. Now...?"

White frowns a bit. "Last time, it took you so long to tell me about that sinking ship that a They almost crushed them. And there was an Arma in there." She gasps. "Now, this isn't about kinship or something like that, but we are the only thing that keeps those stupid things away. And I know you don't want to risk me for himehorns and all of that, but the least you can do if an Arma is in danger is tell me."
>>
>>592121
Ok. But our worry was the sniper with the perfect weapon for killing you.

We don't want to lose you.
>>
>>592121
That's fair. Come up to the office later for apology snuggles and snacks.
>>
>>592158

"I'd rather not lose you. He had the perfect weapon to kill you."

"To the world," she continues, "losing me or her it's the same. Theys and Hands don't worry much about factions. So don't be silly! Don't listen so much to Leader!" She pauses for a while, just staring at the screen. "Well, so long for a long conversation. Just tell me things or I'm taking Roomba."
biiiiiip. The screen goes black in a flash. You turn towards Roomba.
"Don't worry, you are safe."
She nods. You stare at the green dot in the small map screen. That hornmother is still there.
>>
>>592237
We must wait. Are there any other projects we have on hold?

How's that nohorn we rescued doing?
>>
>>592348
You dial White's number, yet again.
"What did you forgot?"
"How's that nohorn and the Arma doing?"
"The Arma is in that crushed airship by the docks and still sleeping, we can't do much for her arm or what remains of it. The nohorn is with her; we got him some food, Ado and Mina are working with the haremhorns to fix his ship. Should take a while."
"Ado is here."
She bites her lower lip. "Then it takes longer."

You frown your eyes; there isn't much to do, now. That hornmother is still hiding in that small room with the haremhorn, and the other haremhorn is hiding in the ship, waiting for her- as Leateli wanders around the ship wrecks havoc. It's making your hand shake.
After all, this is the heart of your job.
>>
>>592468
We must wait. And tell Ado to get back to work.
>>
>>592676
You glare at Ado; he just shrugs as he walks backwards, until he turns and hulks through room. You rest your head over the ledge of the chair, your eyes now staring at Roomba hanging upside-down from the floor.
"I feel like there's nothing left to do."
She smirks softly at you, downcasting her eyes.
"If I call that hornmother," you resume, "the sound might bring back the Leateli."
She looks to the side; then just gently nods at you, smiling a bit.
...This is hard. The only way to communi-RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING
You press the green button.
"State your emergency."
"I'm still here!"
It's the hornmother!
>>
>>592840
Is Leateli still there? Or has she left? Do you think you could sneak back to your ship?
>>
>>592925
"Do you hear something around you?"
"I can hear my heart beat."
Barely, you tilt your head to the side.
"Is it still bullying around?"
"How should I know?!" the perfect mix of anger and desperation.
>>
>>592965
You said there was screaming before. Has it stopped? What about the other noises from before?
>>
>>592983
"Is there still screaming?"
"Not anymore! Get me outtha here!"
>>
>>592965
"With your eyes and ears. Now calm down, take a few deep breaths, and have you and your haremhorn keep an ear to the wall. If you hear any loud noises that are not from you or your haremhorn, particularly screaming or metal tearing, INFORM ME.
>>
>>593009
Hold for a moment..
>contact the haremhorn in her ship
>what does she see or hear?
>>
>>593009
Also this >>593038
>>
>>593038
You think it over for a while, in silence. "Not yet; I need you calm for this. Take a few deep breaths, have your haremhorn keep an ear to the wall. Let me know if she hears anything." You think it over a bit more. "Particularly, screaming or metal tearing noises. Inform me."
The line goes silent, but not dead, for a while. You take adventage of the small frame of time.

>>593061
"This is the Support Center. Haremhorn, say something."
"...ok."
"What do you see? What do you hear? Is there anyone in the area?"
"...there's... a nohorn... in the bathroom..."
You swallow HARD.
>>
>>593099
Start shaking in terror.
"Hand over the phone to her, please..."
>>
>>593099
What do they look like?
>>
>>593124
SHIT WAIT WAIT
Before asking that, ask the hornmother if she's been spotted yet. If not, HIDE. If so, hand it over.
>>
>>593146
"Did it hear this call?"
"...yes?"
"How does it look like?" you say, feeling a lone drop of sweat travel across your cheek.
"...bit taller than me... weird clothes that make no sense... blood..."
That's her. It would be crazy not to think that.
"How did you spot her?"
"...she just... walked past me?"

------------------
>>593124
>>593162
So, what now Steve? Approval pending!
>>
>>593266
Did she notice you?

>if yes-give her the phone
>if no-is she gone?
>>
>>593304
>>593124
"Did she notice you?"
"...I don't know? ...I was just sitting here... and she went there?"
Haremhorn's whispers are mostly low and scraped, but this one talks surprisingly smooth. It must be the fear. There's no way she wasn't noticed if she was just sitting there. So...
"Hand over the phone to her."
"...yes?"
"Yes." you state, as firmly as you manage. You get a hand on your chest; heart feels steady, but everything feels heavy somehow.
Except for the dim footsteps of the haremhorn, the line goes silent. You hear one of those techy doors open, those that get swallowed by the ceiling; it seems this one forgot about knocking.
"Hi!"
>>
>>593422
Hello, to whom am I speaking to?
>>
>>593422
Hello. Are you Leatali?
>>
>>593500
"Hello." you deadpan. "Are you Leatali?"
"Leateli!"
>>
>>593518
...I'll assume that's a "Yes", then?

How're you doing today? Are things going well?
>>
>>593518
Please do not bully
What do you want?
>>
>>593561
"No bully. What do you want?"
"Hi!"
You stare at Roomba, at let out one long gasp. She stares at you wide eyed and crouches next to you, her head resting on the other side of the speaker. You turn your eyes from, her, and fix them on the black screen.
"Hello." you blurt out. It came out a bit hollow. "How are you doing today? Is everything going well?"
"It's nice so far! How about yours?"
>>
>>593701
A little distressing at times. I run a call-in help centre. Is there anything I can help you with.
>>
>>593701
Work's been busy, but other then that, I can't complain. I apologize for bothering you, but how did you get on the ship?
>>
>>593778
"It's... a little distressing, at times." you can't help but clear the sweat from your forehead in one strong swipe. "Work's been busy. I run a call-in help centre. Is there anything I can help you with? How did you get on the ship?"
"Walking!"
"...I see, so you walked in." You push the green button for a second. "Roomba, wine. Now."
"Wine doesn't mix well with anti-depressants," she says as you press the green button, "it will leave you very drowzy."
You nod at her. "So... can I help you with anything?"
"Nope!"
You hear a toilet flush. Yet as the sound ends, you are still out of words.
>>
>>593890
There seems to be some sort of trouble on the ship? People are screaming and there blood. What's going on there?
>>
>>593890
"...would you like to come up for snacks? It's been a while since I've had a guest join me for snacktime."

Now I'm both curious and completely confused.
>>
>>593932
"There seems to be some sort of trouble on the ship. People are screaming and there is blood, as far as I'm informed. What's going on there?"
"I'm killing people!"
You and Roomba slowly turn to look at each other's in the wide open eyes. It's almost romantic.
>>
>>593965
Why? Bullying is mean.

Also, I'll be back in about 30 minutes.
>>
>>593965
"...can I ask why?"
>>
>>593960
Steve, wut chu think of this?
>>593976
Ok!
>>
>>593996
I think inviting a murderer who kills because she can over for tea is a terrible idea. Especially given where we live.
>>
>>594349
How about if we come to her for tea? That way we can distract them long enough to keep them from murdering everyone else, and have a chance to negotiate with her not to murder us all.
>>
>>594404
I don't think getting anywhere near her is a good idea.
>>
>>593976
"...Why?"
She doesn't reply. Instead of her voice, you head odd, blunt sounds and muffled screaming.
"What are you doing?" you stutter.
"I'm drowning her in the toilet."
>>
>>593996
>Could you please don't kill endangered species? Humans are okay but horny ones are a species that's almost extinct."
>>
>>594535
Stop that! No bully!

Where the Horns is Leaderhorn?
>>
>>594535
Can you please let her go? It's extremely rude to bully others for no reason.
>>
>>594587
"Stop that! No bully! No bully!!" It seems the antidepressants aren't strong enough. Again, the only reply you get is noises, this time the slim, peaceful sound of water. You clutch Roomba's hand so hard she lets out a slight moan. "-Can you please let her go? It's... extremely rude to bully others for no reason. We are almost extint, we try to help, we don't bother..." your voice dies down on its own, along the soft, splashing sound. "Hello? Hello?"

There's no reply.

You close your eyes shut and shake. Then talk; "...I need Leaderhorn. Now. Where is she?" You turn to Roomba, she's looking blankly at the floor. You dial the number.
biiiiiiiiiiiip.
biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip.
biiip.
No response.
>>
>>594658
We need to distract Leateli. Like, NOW.

The best idea I got is to distract her with food...
>>
Time for coordinated panic?
>>
>>594658
Think how to distract that damn bitch?

"How fast can we get a lot of chocolate ice cream there?"
>>
>>594658
Dial the mobile phone, see if the haremhorn that was with the hornmother answers. If not, assume she's dead too. Then call the haremhorn on the ship that brought them here, tell her to take off now and go to (some coordinates away from everyone and wait for 30 minutes).

If the Haremhorn is still alive, talk to her. Tell her to go back to her ship. Hopefully she'll get there before Leateli does and they can leave together.
>>
>>594773
You might be a bit confused. The one getting drowned is the haremhorn on their ship.
>>
>>594807
I thought it was the hornmother. Same thing then, but try to get the hornmother out.
>>
>>594836
You want to send the hornmother to their ship, where Leateli is?
It can be done!
>>
>>594845
I am confused
>>591404 make me think that the Hornmother and one Haremhorn left their craft in the hanger of where Leateli and that nohorn are.
>>
>>594845
No, we want to sent ice cream to distract the bitch!
>>
>>594884
Sending ice cream means sending more people for her to kill and a vehicle for her to steal
>>
>>594884
This. If she is basically a psychopath six year old in a teen body she will love the ice cream. Once she is distracted rescue the horny ones.
>>
>>594869
Don't worry, I'm still a newbie at this so these kinds of things are to be expected. =w=
You got one haremhorn and one hornmother hiding in the engine room; the hornmother has a mobile witch device.
Then you called the ship that brought them there; a haremhorn took the call, the one that told you that Leateli is in the bathroom. When the broken horn Leader said "There she is", she was talking about the location of the colonnial ship, in which hangar the hornship is docked. Where did I lose you?
>>
>>594908
No if we just airdrop the ice cream. We do have flyng machines, right?
>>
>>594925
Yep! You got the traditional "hornships", which are actually just normal ships, but since they've been used far and wide by himehorns... well, hence the name.
There's also small crafts for delivery, but they get intercepted so often and are so weak against wild wind currents that they aren't that used.
Futhermore, I'm gonna have to pause for a while. Life and things. ;w:
>>
>>594918
My bad. I missed my own suggestion here.>>593061

Damn. Ok new plan. Contact the nohorn, let him know what's going on. Tell him to stay hidden. Now I'm hoping that Leateli will steal the ship and we can track her.
>>
>>594953
Ah. Life. Gets in the way of fun. Are we pausing for the night, or just a little while?
>>
>>594979
Gals, let's airdrop ice cream, is crazy enough to work.
>>
>>594979
A while!
>>
>>595080
Ok. I'm going out in about 2 hours. Does that make a difference?
>>
>>595109
I think it's gonna be enough! Just let me wrap up a few things around here. =w=

Eeyup.

First we rant about the wonders of cereal and then airdrop ice cream.

Crazy horn ones!
>>
>>594966
A white screen pops in the black monitor, showing the nohorn's number and a few desperate attempts at calling Leaderhorn. You dial it.
biiiiiiiiip
biiiiiiiiiiiip
biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip
But nobody picks up. You let that sink for a few seconds; maybe he silenced the device? Maybe he threw it somewhere? If that's the case, then he's already hiding...
"I know this is kind of besides the point right now." It's Roomba's voice. You turn to face her. "But I do have to ask, I mean, you aren't ok... but are you holding up?"
You look at the black screen. It feels like staring into a straight abyss, muffled by endless shadows.
"I think I'm doing fine." you blurt out. She leans on your shoulder, then carefully hugs you tightly from the floor. You let your head rest on hers, as your mind is fixed on the headset.
Five minutes go. Ten minutes go.
You look at the map; the ship is still.
>>
>>595332
We can do little now but attract attention to the nohorn and hornmother.

We should try to figure out some standard policies on what to do if Leateli is encountered. And maybe a broadcast signal like Amber Alert.

Can Ado create such a device?
>>
>>595391
You dial Ado's number.
"The fuck you want?", he rumbles. You can hear sharp sounds and hammering in the background.
"I need a way to speak to all the hornmothers at once. We lost time we might not be able to afford from now on." You let that sink in. "Can it be done?"
"Um, yeah. Yeah well, you see, I just need a few things..."
"Stop what you are doing and go fetch them. This is very important."
" 'kay."
biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGGG
You SMASH that green button.
"State your emergency."
"Where are you?"
It's Leateli.

>>595571
>>595608
A bit of a warning for the anonhorns; ever since the new food came by and the haremhorns did their research, they've been very against giving icecream to the hornmothers. In other words, if this is ever the case, you get to choose between pudding, different sorts of cake (strawberry, lemon pie, the vanilla, the old and good) and very exotic, yet very warm, soups with carrots.
If it HAS to be cold, regardless, you get chocolate cake.
>>
>>595594
Would you like some tea? I can bring some snacks as well.
>>
>>595649
Is for the bitch, for the human we cannot kill, not for us.
>>
>>595627
You fight through the brainfreeze and open the notepad.
"I'm sorry." you manage to deadpan, "this isn't a good time."
Roomba reads the screen and her mouth gapes, yet she gets the phone.
"Does your tummy hurt? I hate it when that happens."
>>
>>595653
Cold chocolate cake, but not if the bitch is alergic! We had a vision about that! Vainilla then.
>>
>>595667
It means you don't have any. Hornmothers must be very sad and lonely...

>>595708
Oh nononono, no vision! You take your chances or you don't. Pick. Wisely.

>>595697
In case it isn't obvious, last line is by Leateli.

You run the Himehorn Support Center on your own; but you are JUST a hornmother and that truth is not going anywhere. That's why your himehorn plushie and faithful blonde Fake are here to support you! You grip that plushie tightly.
"It hurt a bit, I guess I must be very nervous a lot." And that isn't so far from the fact. "Helping people is hard. Some don't want help, some just want to bully or take stuff."
Leateli pauses. "That sounds very hard!"
"It is." You look at the small white note shining over the black screen;

"SHE COULD HAVE GOT IT FROM THE HORNSHIP"

...yet, in your small map, the green pointer remains where it was.
"Why are some people so mean?" you ask, as you look at the map.
Leateli laughs. It's the polite laugh of someone who got beaten up badly. "Because they can't have fun!"

...You check the radar data of the Greathorn, through an external page in the Link.

An airship is drawing near.

To be fair, a five year old nohorn girl couldn't cry or pot as badly as a hungry adult hornmother. Even if she really tried.

What do you do to have fun?

And what kind of tea do you like, since it looks like you're coming anyways
>>
>>595824
Let's get that vainilla cake with vainilla puddling filling, and the milk and glasses. Offer to share with Leateli.

You give up.
"So, what do you do for fun?" you ask, without further hesitation.
"I like to spin in the same place until I can't take it anymore." she says, as you stare at the small, green dot slowly drawing near to the Greathorn.
"What kind of tea do you like?" you ask, now faintly gripping your plushie.
"I don't like tea."
"Would you like vainilla cake with vainilla puddling filling and milk?"
"Ok!"
biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip

ALRIGHT, we leave it here for today, since it's getting kinda late and we've been at it for ten hours or so already. I'm gonna be very busy for a while now, and I'm sure Steve will too. I might try to make that "post every now and then" thing to keep the flow, but I won't promise, since I couldn't so far. ;w:

Oh well! Any last questions?
>>

Thanks for running. These are so fun and comfy (even when its sad)
>>
>>595981
Why are you so mean to the poor broken horn? Is just the second thread and you already send doomsday girl to her!
>>
>>596045
Mostly, because it's fun!
It's so nice when you can just murder your problems, isn't it?

But you made her basically unlikable unless we want to down the world.

Is not fair to have such a high level threat so soon!

Just look how you literally broke poor Broken Horn.

She wanted to help humans, she wanted to save her race and now... she just has given up.
>>

I've been looking for that one.

Fukkin' saved!

Don't worry!

She has Steve! =w=

Yup, she's doomed.

Goodnight Haremhorn.

Lets hope psychopaths and cake go well together! Maybe Roomba can help us talk her down? I've been enjoying how you write her so far! Things can get a bit confusing at times but overall you've been doing a good job as far as I can tell
>>
>>596187
I've got to work on the confusion part! I try not to burden my readers with too many details, but it seems that sometimes I actually come up short of them. Just point it out when it happens, It'll help me. =w=

Also, Roomba is nice!!
>>
>>596236
Yes she is. Just don't try to make her clean animal escrements.
