We have to rely soley on skill in fighting and physical tenacity. So plot armor really is a No go for us. Qm shouldn't allow that in the first place considering the world of Sao. And about the edgy badass thing... personally I'm not too fussed so long as the fights are badass but we can be vigilantes to spice shit up.

Alright so here's something unrelated I'd like to suggest as an upgrade to our gauntlets later down the line:

A paralysis thin steel coil that wraps around the wrist, which can be released and used as an incognito takedown tool as well as a whip and helpful miscilanious addition in combat.
