A loud crash echoes trough the room, as Commodore Ferlain hits the floor after your punch. He knocks over a vase, and goes down hitting the shelves on the other side. "Ohh, you are that guy! Who killed some Cortian bigshot, no?""Well..""HEY! Shut it!" - the warden arrives. Ugly man with only a handful of teeth, and an unpleasant odor."What's going on?" - aks your new acquaintance"None of yo dam business" comes the reply, with a swift clank on the celldoor. This might be your chance.>A) Get the warden's attention>B) Wait for a chance>C) Insult the warden>D) Scream like bloody murder>E) Write-inThere are far more "Insult X" options in this quest than I originally intended
>>405192>B) Wait for a chance
>>405192>B) Wait for a chancePatience is a virtue
>>405265>>405284>>405293You've waited three days, a little more won't hurt. The warden continues to pester the prisoner. He takes on an impertient pose, and keeps the keyring circling around his fingers. "I am watching you Gouch. I stand between you and another victim, and as long as I breathe you'll nev.."He cannot finish. A piece of ordenance crashes somewhere near, and everyone is shaken a bit off from their feet. The warden falils as he falls forward, catching himself in the rails.Unfortunately for him, he drops the key which clanks on the ground a few times. His misfortunes don't end here, because the rails belong to Gouch's cell. The man grabbs the warden's arms, and gleefully pulls them in. Another loud clang is heard as his head hits the rails, long scream as Gouch bites into his ear.You reach down, and with the tip of your fingers, grab hold of the key. After a few minutes, you manage to find the right one, and you are free. You don't miss a minute, get to the main door, that was left slightly ajar by the warden. You scale the stairs, and look out into the open. It seems the Trinians are making their counterattackTO BE CONTINUED
>>405413Sorry to end it here folks, I am sorta spent.and I would like to implement some mechanics, perhaps even make a character sheet for the next thread.here is the twitter if you want to make certain you don't miss it: https://twitter.com/HuntsmanQMThank you for all the wonderful players that made this quest possible up to this point. Hope you've enjoyed yourselves.I'll stay a bit and willing to take any suggestions or answer anything out character might know
>>405431Thanks for running man, looking forward to the next installment
>>405431So what's with the Cults of Ra and Teth?Is the differences in how national policy is shaped by the cults a difference between the cults themselves, or are the Assholes (which Akov leads) and the Pragmatists (which our master leads) a cross-cult factions?
>>405479Thank YOU for playing.>>405596I think I should implement a lore document for the next thread.Basically Cortia is governed by the political powers of the Cults. The elders or elder councils of each cult are the highest authority, and their council decides government affairs. Each of the cults aim to some form of human perfection. The Cult of Ra is aiming for martial perfection, warfare, fighting, and the such. For obvious reasons, the cults decided that the military should be under their jurisdiction. Therefore any philosophy trying to move forward the aforementioned things, can be considered valid (The elder(s) decide in the end)Your master have believed that mercy, and human dignity have place with martial superiority, and someone shouldn't be squished just because you can do it.However Akov and his kind went with the "might makes right" approach, and since they brought results, their way wasn't outlawed.Your mentor have died among suspicious circumstances, leaving the amount of merciful cult members rather scarce. The Cult of Teth are Historians, and clerks, upholding the massive bureaucracy involved with governing this growing empire
>>405666So the Cult of Teth is basically neutral in this Doctrinal Conflict?Do they lean one way or the other? Can we find any support among them? And what are the other cults?
>>405734>And what are the other cults?*cough* Ihaventdec.. *cough*I mean we still have the Cult of Kahn, the caretakers. While Teth Acolytes are more interested in what can be recorded, Kahn Acolytes are more interested in what they can apply. They can be usually found in the engineering detachments, and around big machines. There is also a rumored fourth cult, but our hero doesn't know much about them.
