The year is 1942. You are a US Marine Raider on the island of Guadalcanal.
Your name is Johann Joestar, age 19.
You are part of a ragtag squad of with another Raider, Angus Young . You are tasked with causing disorganization within the Japanese forces after being airdropped behind enemy lines.
Some might call this a suicide mission, but you don't intend to go down without a fight.

Johann wakes you up for your watch while you wait for more orders by radio. Two days had passed since Johann killed a Jap with a "Stand" and scared off another, as well as since Bon was killed.

You have the night watch.

After a few hours of silence and no movement aside from small animals, there's a brief flash of white light in the jungle to your left. It might just be a figment of your imagination, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

You crouch down and enter a crawl, heading over to the sources of the light.

Right as you find where the light came from, you bump your head against... nothing?

You look through leaves and tall blades of grass and can just barely see two Japs.

One is the Jap who ran the other day, the other is a Jap you haven't seen yet.

Shit.

The new one.

He has a stand, and it's holding a piece of paper. Which is apparently glowing.

Just yesterday you were briefly talking with Johann as to how he uses his stand and makes it appear, but you didn't try.

Now might be a good time for that.

You focus deep with yourself, and bring out your stand.

A heavy fog rolls over the area, yet nothing else happens.

You shoulder your rifle, taking a shot is the next best thing after all.

And suddenly you're on the other side of the Japanese, but nothing appears to have changed.

Then it hits you. You can move around in the smoke.

"Sonōchi no hitotsu wa koko ni arimasu..." the new Jap whispers. The other nods in response.

The new Jap crumples the paper, and all hell breaks loose.

The ground shifts and buckles, reforming the landscape within twenty meters of himself. The other Jap almost falls over during the localized earthquake.

You reshoulder your rifle and put your finger on the trigger after moving to another spot in the fog.

Right as you are about to pull the trigger, the Jap pulls out another piece of paper, his stand making it briefly glow with a hiss, before it touches the ground with another hiss.

>Which Jap do you target? The one with his stand visible, or the one who generates blocks in three-dimensional space?

You fire a three consecutive shots with your M1 Garand at the stand user, moving locations within the fog each time. You land three hits, but he manages to raise the paper in time for the third shot.

The bullet impacts the paper, but still manages to hit him.

Almost immediately, a fireball of dirt erupts just a few feet away from you, as if somebody was shelling you with artillery.

The heat singes the hairs on your arm, and showers you in dirt and burnt plant matter.

The fires quickly die down in the moist forest floor.

The paper's faint glowing desists, and you fire one more shot from a new location, and the Jap falls to the ground, never going to move ever again.

Now all that's left is the Jap from before. He's definitely pissed. He has no clue where you are, and is so frustrated about it that you almost laugh at how comical it is.
