Recap: We talked to Doris a bunch and learned more about her among other things. We decided to head to the hospital for no reason besides exploring.

You stand in front of the town's hospital, Eleanor Memorial Sanitarium. It towers above and if your eyesight was better you could see the figures passing by the windows, apparently very busy.

Doris drags you along "Come on, come on slowpoke! They look like they could use some help, this place has been very busy lately. We aren't doing anything else so we might as well. Besides I got some friends inside I should check on!"

You walk forward and ask the nurse if she needs any help. The nurse, who was carefully carrying the organs gets startled and loses her grip on the bucket.

The organs and stuff spill out onto the floor. The nurse begins to frantically grab the pieces and put them in the bucket.
>"Oh god oh god he is going to kill me..." she says panicking.
Doris rushes over and helps her pick everything up before helping the nurse to her feet who is now visibly shaken.

You inquire about why the hospital is so busy.

She smiles a little, though it seems forced.

You think about doing some sort of comedy routine but... huh. You aren't exactly sure what sort of things such a routine would entail. You didn't exactly experience a lot of funny things during your childhood that you could work off of.

>Well I suppose we should start with my name. Most people just know me as the Doctor's Daughter, but... I do prefer Dee Dee. The title doesn't exactly make sense, as freaks like us are born from the hive and don't have parents or by extension daughters. I'm not exactly sure how this terminology arose in that case, but...
She shakes her head before speaking again.
>I'm more of an apprentice... I've been working under the Eleanor Memorial Sanitarium's top doctor for a few months now, and I don't feel like I'm improving. Honestly, I'm pretty... clumsy... and I think the real reason I'm here at all is because of my abilities...
She frowns a little bit and sighs.

She grabs one of the organs from the bucket and holds it out in front of her. After a few moments, some of the tissue appears to move...

The organ peels open at the top, opening into what appears to be a flower. Deedee smiles a little to herself before speaking.
>I'm able to use some of my energy to force cell growth in organic materials... it comes in handy if we urgently need more tissue for surgeries or to stop bleeding... but I can't create too without becoming drowsy or even blacking out. I've been experimenting in shaping the tissue into various forms and just generally try to manipulate what I am creating. The most complex thing I've managed so far are flowers, which aren't useful at all considering most people don't have flower-shaped organs. Most of the time, however... things just sort of... turn into cancerous tumors when I try this... so I'm kind of surprised this even worked.

And that's all for today! I'd do more but I need to sleep because I'm gonna be busy much of tomorrow. That gif also took a lot longer to make than I thought it would take, though it turned out alright. I should be back to continue tomorrow at around 8PM EST.

The two of you enter a room where a doctor is trying to stop the bleeding of someone who's unconscious. Deedee brings the organs over to the table.
The doctor who's working speaks up.
>Oh thank heavens you're here... this guy got hit real bad... bunch of shredder rounds... he's probably pretty torn up inside.
Deedee bites her lip in worry.

The doctor removes the cloth momentarily and thinks
>Probably a spleen and a kidney... he's bleeding a lot though we are going to need a lot of flesh.
You watch a bit awkwardly from the sidelines, feeling a little squeamish.

You decide it would be best to keep out of their way. Probably should let those who know what they're doing to work with some breathing room. The doctor starts making incisions while Deedee waits for her turn.

You figure you aren't much use right now so you offer your organs, but the doctor puts a hand up as if to stop you from talking.

Deedee gives you an odd smile.

You ask about how the surgery is going. The doctor pauses a moment before speaking.
>Looks like it should go smoothly... We just gotta open 'em up and remove all the spent bullets and whatever organs are shredded up. We should have replacements for anything their missing, and then Deedee here can help with closing the wounds.
After opening the wound he reaches in and pulls out a warped metal object.
>Aha, here's one of though devils... this thing does Hell to someone's internal organs. Lucky it didn't hit anything too important...
He chuckles a little and gets back to work.

>A-alright... if we need any help I-I'll be sure to call for you! Your friend is p-probably in the next room.
You nod and start to walk away, leaving the doctor's to their work.

You approach them and Doris smiles slightly more and waves at you.

Oh, he's just uh... kind of out of it right now. You probably heard me say he mentioned the same thing three times? He's suffering from some sort of head trauma.
Doris waves a hand around by her ear in a "cuckoo" motion, trying to lighten the mood. Her friend appears to have already passed out.

You ask her how long he's been in this condition. She shrugs.
Doris - I'm not totally sure actually. The others that found him estimated... he was like this a couple days before getting here? I've tried talking to him but he keeps repeating himself...
She sighs and closes her eyes a moment before opening them again.
Doris - We also aren't really sure what happened- well I mean besides the blunt force trauma. Each time he tells his story it changes a little, so...
She gives a careful smile.
Doris - He's going to be fine, but, I can't help myself from worrying.
