Hey guys, let me know when you are here
>>
>>294602
Miellewds-guy here.

So we still haven't figured out why Honey Fairy Hives aren't enough to count as a settlement for Monster-Villager purposes.

Maybe they need to be bigger?

Bigger AND far enough from other settlements?
>>
>>294629
Honestly i am of the opinion that they need to own land, which they do not. Not a single one of them, anywhere.

We like them and happily let them squat on our backyards and gardens, but its still our backyard and gardens. Is not theirs.
>>
>>294639
To test that, we need to get them land, then.

That was another question that Eldric needs to ask Tapas and Wolfric: where is there land that is still unclaimed.
>>
>>294656
Does it has to be unclaimed? they could just normally buy land and build a house same as anyone else, really.

Anyway, lets start while waiting for other people. I cant tell if we are starting slightly late or slightly early, honestly. Its winter here and right now all day long its grey as if it was the early morning. It really feels like 7am rather than 1pm

***

Nana Euphrosyne welcomes us at the door, wearing the family maid uniform up to the hat. The long skirt covers her down to her ankles, but still shows off her figure graciously thanks to the high class material. Her long blonde hair is currently pulled into a bun under her hat, so she looks quite official as she stands next to the door and greets us.

"Welcome home, young master." -she says politely
"I'm home."
"Are you alone today?"
"Well..."

Aritsu, Lyann, and Miel.

I assume that Aritsu keeps Sinoe and Lazard appraised of the [ERROR] research, and Miel must be kept informed because of her peoples' job as an early warning network.

I would have liked to bring Mako, but she's probably asleep by now.

Sure

>>294766
>I would have liked to bring Mako, but she's probably asleep by now.
Yup. Well, in a few months she'll start living with us so our schedule difference should go back to normal.

I remember reading a manga years ago where the good natured ojousama fell asleep every night instantly at 9pm because her caretakers had always ALWAYS made sure she went to bed exactly at the same hour every single day of her life. I thought it was adorable.

Speaking of reading, I started reading this. Its amazingly fun so far

"I see. Well, the Lady Lyann seems to know her way around." -says Nana Euphry after a moment
"They'll be here soon, so could you please let me know when they arrive? Oh, and is uncle Wolfric home?"
"The lord Wolfric is currently at work but should arrive shortly. Do you want me to notify him of your presence when he does so?"
"Yes please. I will be in the library until either him or the ladies arrive."
"Very well."

With that, we go into the manor and head towards the library. We've been here before, but the ample library feels like a municipal building, due its impressive size and collection of books.

Well, most of these are journals by our ancestors, law books, and quite a few studies of mineralogy and other subjects which previous family members felt passionate about.

In other words, it really oozes with family history, uh?

While we wait...

These are some really really old books...

Looking at the titles... this one. 'Natural Creatures in the Western Shore'. Looking under the hard leather cover, it is dated at Fire 42nd, 4377.

Let's see, the current date is Wind 27th, 7231... this book is older than christianity, isn't it...? Is it really alright to just handle it with our bare hands? shouldn't we donate it to a museum? No, wait, there's no such thing in this world, right?

For such an old book, it keeps surprisingly well. Then again, there are repair and clean spells in this world. Oh, it has a little bit of dust. Just a liiittle bit.

Ah, noone bought the bait and had Eldric erase the book contants to end with very clean white pages

***

We sit down on one of the couches, and open the book over our knees.

The book is ordered by regions, starting from the northmost area of the coast and moving south all the way to Alquia. It seems to have been written at a leusirely pace, with different regions being years apart.

Interestingly, the flora and fauna seem to have been quite different at the time, with a large number of giant mammals wandering our the continent.

Rather than magical beasts, these read as 'animal' when identified... ah, it seems the Ring of Knowledge we have is a relic from those times, uh? the author had one and seems to have used it all the time.

Anyway, regarding species, most animals were herbivore mammals, with carnivores being usually reptilian... there's no mention of magical beasts.

It seems dragons were a rather common species, but not usually aggressive towards humanoids.

'I wonder how could the beasts of the continent change so much in so little (relatively speaking) time...'

We have never seen a giant mammal... no, there was that wholly mammoth, right? Right, the nomads had a wholly mammoth for sale that we almost purchased. It was just a baby, though.

So, there's still giant mammals in the far north. I guess reptiles would have a hard time in that region. Did the reptiles eat the giant mammals, then starved themselves to death?

Beast of the Eastern Colonies
Earth 1st 6030

Ah, this one is from the end of the unified empire period. If we remember right, shortly after this point, the Heavenly Empire and the colonies of Alquia became independant realms.

Dragons are rare, it seems, and aggressive against humanoids.
There's no giant reptiles.
Fauna is a lot more varied, with magical beasts having shown up, and mostly replaced both reptiles and mammals.

Uhmm... I wonder if it would have been possible to domesticate those animals before they went extinct? they weren't monsters right?

Anyway, this period wasn't that far away... relatively speaking.

Ah, it seems our ancestor had a succubus wife, how cute... wait, they weren't monsters back then? Does that means they had settlements of their own but lost them, like the salamanders did?

Well, he mentions her from time to time. They were both itnerested in cataloguing the plants and animals of the continent, and there's no mention about culture or society...

Uhmm... it is a good thing our ancestors had literary inclinations.

Actually, isn't this library a treasure? well, history books could probably be trusted more the closer they were to the events they depict. Let's see...

The collapse of Mithril Halls
Raise of the Dragonback Mountains
Founding of Bastion

These all sound rather important, let's see. In a nutshell.

>The events leading to the extinction of the dwarves in the western continent (Heavenly Empire)

>A terrible earthquake that changed the landscape of the eastern continent and created the mountain range where Albion, Opal kingdom, and the orc country now exist.

>>>The events leading to the extinction of the dwarves in the western continent (Heavenly Empire)

Hundreds of villages and dozens of cities are gone. The loss of life is incalculable, and for months now, we are still digging out the bodies. Everyone feels it is a pointless job. The catastrophe was so complete that there's noone to deliver them to, no grieving family, no survivors.

It was felt all across the continent. Honestly, I dont know what our ancestors built the keep on top of that it just barely shook while outside the world seemed to have been thrown into a waterwheel.

The elves of Yellowleaves were hit the hardest. Their ancestral capital is gone. There's a mountain range where the palace used to be. How can any people recover from such a thing?

The only positive thing about this otherwise horrific event is the dissapearance of the Gapin Maw swamp. Good riddance. It won't be missed.

The Fae kingdoms are gone. We are still searching for survivors but it has been months now, and we haven't found a single one. Our own cities have been nearly flattened, so we can't afford to continue sending rescue troops to look for friends who have dissapeared when our families are still unannounced for,

My old friend Albion says he's going to fund a permanent settlement in the mountains. Try and figure out how they came to be. I wish him good luck.

There's also a map of the continent before and after the Dragonback Mountain Range came to be. Rather than an earthquake, it looks as if a 'land tsunami' had swallowed several regions of land. With modern eyes, it is even stranger. The mountains do not seem to have been the product of the mantle suddenly surging up like one would believe, but rather, it seems that prospecting dwarves are reporting minerals usually found in the easternmost shores of the continent.

In other words, its as if someone had pulled the mantle thousands of miles west, completely covering several countries forever.

Interestingly, the southeastern shore from before the earthquake was a single solid mass, instead of the shattered series of subcontinents it now is.

As we set it down to think about all these changes, Aritsu, Lyann and Miel come into the library, having finished their sightseeing.

Well, since you guys dont seem to mind, let's go with it as default 'uniform' for all our cute petgirls, then!

Dare you enter my magical realm of cute monster girls in C strings?

We greet the girls as they come into the library. Aritsu and Lyann are wearing their school uniforms, while Miel is wearing a cute set of accessories with a short cloak. Yes, it's abusing the 'system' a little bit, but not even she seems to mind her attire so...

Yeah.

We give them each a little kiss, and soon after one of the maids comes in pushing a snack cart with tea and local pastries.

"Thank you" -we say to her- "Could you please call mister Tapas? we want to ask him a few questions, if he's not too busy."
"Of course, young master."

As she bows, we notice that under the edge of her hat, there's the tip of two fluffy-looking ears, and as she leaves, we can see an even fluffier, small tail behind her.

Bunny girl achieved!

Ah, I guess its not really that rare in this city, is it? there's dozens of different races living here, after all.

We have Aritsu, Lyann and Miel sit around us, and pour them some tea, despite Lyann complaining about doing it instead of us.

"Nope. I have two princesses and a queen here, so of course I'm gonna pour the tea."
"I'm not a princess!" -says Lyann as she blushes
"You are to me."
"Fuuu..."

After a little while, Tapas arrives and greets us politely, then inquires on our needs.

"Uhmm.. that was a rather dark chapter in continental history. Yes, At that time, I already had been working for your family for some time. I remember there was a mysterious event that caused the easternmost sub oceanic continental plate to slide upwards over what back then was the continental plate, and overnight squished most of the continent."

The girls listen with confused expressions.

"Ah, perhaps it is a bit complicated, you see, a continental plate is..." -he says
"I know, do not worry."
"Is that so? alright then."
"But for it to be a mystery even now..."
"It can't be helped, whoever or whatever caused it was likely also buried under the continental plate."
"Ah."

It really was something like a tsunami of land and rock, then. It must have been absolutely catastrophic. For those who died, it must have been similar to the sky falling down on them.

I wanted to ask if many countries dissapeared, but its obvious that they did...

Ah right.

"Was there a faery nation among those that passed away?"
"Yes indeed, young master."
"I want to help Miel's people recover from their current state as monsters. Am I right to think they simply need to start an official settlement?"

Miellewds-guy here.
Got some questions for grandpa and Tapac.

Also, gotta talk with Uncle Wolfric on where to buy land for Miel, and make sure that it's pure Hegemony land.
>>
>>298248
With that, it seems we have to wait for grandpa or uncle Wolfric to show up before we can continue with our original objectives, so for now, let's have a nice tea time with the girls.

Tapas excuses himself, saying that he will notify either of them about our presence when they arrive.

"Ah, President, we have a gift for you" -says Aritsu as if she had just remembered when Tapas left
"Right. Please try it out, master." -adds Miel

Lyann reaches into her [Item Box] and shows us a top hat.

It's a top hat? why?

I guess uncle Wolfric has one, and it looks as if they are popular with men in town but, I'm a modern person at heart, you know? no matter how elegant it is, I can't help but to feel I would just be playing around if I used this.

It's not magical, but it is high quality.

"Alright..." -we try it on... ah, its just a liiiiittle bit too big for us and it sort of slides down to our ears.

"Uhm... I can fill it up a little on the inner edges." -says Lyann
"But, you look very distinguished, president!"

We hand it back to our childhood friend and she takes off some lace and sewing tools out of her [Item Box],,, oy, you are using that to carry some pretty girlish things, aren't you?

We thought it was just full of loot, money and such.

Lyann can be a girly girl sometimes too, after all.

"I wonder if there's something about it in the public library? supossedly, a researcher named Albion was the city's origin, and just for studying the phenomenon, right?" -our redheaded love says with a thoughtful expression
"Well, even if that was so, just looking at the edge of the disaster may not tell you about its origin." -adds Aritsu

Right, we tend to forget shes a very smart and serious person, sometimes.

After a while, uncle Wolfric arrives, and once he hears we are in the library, heads over to greet us.

"Oh, it wasn't just you, nephrew." -he greets our friends politely, and steps in

We explain to him about our interest in buying land on behalf of Miel's people, and he sees no problem with it.

"Uhmm... we do have a precedent in one of our ancestors buying a small island just off shore some miles south, and then ceding it to sea life as a sanctuary of sorts. Now it is considered property of the animals and beasts that inhabit it." -he says
"Then, there wouldnt be a problem if we do the same for Miel?"

Basically I want Eldric to be like some kind of reverse fantasy hentai dark army leader in regards to Miel.
He invades her kingdom, he kidnaps the Queen (and the entire kingdom) and makes her his breeding slave.
Then he goes and raises her kingdom to be an equal to any other, expands their borders, increases trade, guides them into a new Golden Age of prosperity and expansion, secures the protection of civilization for them.
Finally he marries her.

"Ah... the greenhouse is nice, but if we can't fly outside, won't it be awful?" -says Miel softly, not wanting to sound like a whiner when people is trying to help her- "I- I mean, it's not very big... it's fine during winter because we know we can go out when spring arrives, but..."
"It's alright. You are saying you wouldn't want to live there." -says Lyann

"Uhmm... there are stories about a warm region in the north somewhere, but they're just that. People who goes looking for it, do not come back." -says uncle Wolfric after some thinking- "But they didn't had rockitships to look at the land from above."

"Alright, there were plenty of towns that were abandoned or destroyed during the war, so we can resettle them without issue." -says our uncle- "I'll just won't tell the senate who the settlers are. Ah, that will be fun, when they realize..."

Our uncle is giving a wry smile. I'm sorry for giving you more work, uncle Wolfric!

"Well, let's see. We certainly have some maps around here..." -he fetches out a map from the scroll racks and stretches it over a nearby table.

"These spots would be good, I think?"

"I will tell you everything afterwards." -we tell the girls, and Lyann quietly takes Aritsu's hand and pulls her away.

Miel hesitates for a moment, then follows after them.

"Wolfric, stay. You'll be keeplord soon enough, you should hear this."
"...alright,"

Once the door is closed, grandfather walks around towards the armor decorating the wall, and takes off its helmet, holding it between his hands.

"You know, this is my father's helmet." -he says as he looks at it- "I never forgave him for giving me this duty when he retired. I wonder if you two will forgive me in time?" -he sighs

"Time ago, enough time that saying 'long ago' would make it a great disservice... before creation." -he says-
"How can it be 'before creation' grandfather?"
"It was. Well, this is our family's oral tradition. I'm trying to tell it as I was told. Just as my father told it to me the best he could remember... wel, it's probably pretty accurate. You don't just forget this kind of thing, you see?"
"Alright."
"Reality itself needed a point to start from. You see, everything needs a start. You are both smart, you can probably guess where the spot is, can you not?"

Saying 'the keep?' would be too cliché, so we just nod.

"It is not just the start point of things. It can also be the end. A portal, a throne, a steering wheel. That's why, the gods carved a huge chasm around it and erected a immense fortress over it. We guard the start point for all, and the end for all. Let me see... it goes like this..."

So that time could be, it needed a start. Before things could be, they needed a source. Once the creator set time and things free, they fled in all directions before choosing one.

The [ERROR]s come from the directions that were originally chosen, then abandoned. They're the mistakes of time and matter, having lost their relevance, and consumed by utter jealousy of the one chosen path.

Can you imagine their immense jealousy? Because of an ultimately random, arbitrary decision, they did not exist. They should not exist.

But, whoever the creator was, he was merciful enough to grant them existence [elsewhere].

And from the chosen start point, the orrery of worlds stretches towards infinity and eternity. Countless worlds that do not suspect they have a origin story before their origin story.

As the worlds spread and multiplied, the gods left to inhabit and care for those worlds. Because this, the first world was too important to leave alone, and too important not to be coveted by all of them, they chose to leave, after waking up five great spirits to act as guardians
>>
>>299310

After the first time the [ERROR]s invaded, the guardians realized that they lacked the concept of time and urgency of the living.

Yes, they stopped the [ERROR]s, but just in time. Just.

Do you understand? existence itself was about to end for all worlds. All worlds, not just this country or this continent or this world. Countless countries, countries continents, countless worlds could have become undone.

Being undone is a terrible thing. Just look at the [ERROR]s. They were not killed, they are the neverwhere, the neverwere, and the neverwhen.

After that, the guardians, in their infinite laziness, picked the leader of the mortals who fought the [ERROR]s for long enough for the guardians to notice, and gave him a very simple task.

That's what they called it, a very simple task.

"Why, I can imagine how it went. Something like 'Do you see that spot? it does this and that, so don't let anyone near it' I'd guess."
"Surely not like that!" -says uncle Wolfric
"Ah... if it makes you feel better. Grandchild, you've meet the Lady of the Water, right? was she a shining beacon of responsibility?"

Ah... well, she was playing with a hand-held console the 2nd time we met her...

"So, we built the keep as best we could. You no doubt have seen the chasm around it? we dub that out."
"Father, that canyon is well over 2 miles deep and a hundred long."
"We had time." -he says

"We had plenty of time. Every 30000 years or so, the [ERROR]s come back. From the point of view of things such as eternity and infinity, they are constantly attacking, always probing, always trying to reach the keep. Thankfully they're not very smart, and have repeated the same tactic over and over. Make a hole in the sky, drop their troops on us, see how it goes."
"Then why were they attacking the Heavenly Empire? Why did they wipe out the succubus in the south?"
"Just because they're dumb it doesn't means they CAN'T learn. Even a rat will look for the best way through the maze. My guess is, they planned to gather as many troops as possible before their newest assault."
"So, why did you remove the teleporters in the keep?"
"The power they use is power we can't spare. The keep's shield will need every single bit of it if it is to work the way I want it to work." -he says

>What do you mean 'the way I want it to work'?

"The shield is designed to cover the keep. I have spent half my life working on it, deep in the roots of the keep. When the time comes, I wi- it will stretch over the city, and protect it from the attack."
"All of the city?" -Uncle Wolfric asks softly
"The shield machinery is very powerful."
"All of it?" -he repeats
"The five inner rings."
"So that's why you convinced the nobles to move to the outer rings?"
"A single manor uses enough room for about 200 poor family homes and apartments." -says grandfather

So, by displacing the poor from the outer rings to the inner rings, he's planning on sacrificing the nobles to save the commoners.

That's why he moved the family to the outermost ring.

"But why didn't you warn the Empire, the islands, the southern continent?" -we ask
"The shield is not just a barrier, it is strong enough to wipe them out on contact. Once their invasion starts, that shield will expand and consume them-"
"That's not what I asked."
"Why didn't you?"
"I didn't know they were coming."
"Neither did I"
"But you knew they were coming!"
"Their strategy is- was, charging straight at us and trying to overload the shield, then assaulting the keep. This gathering of troops beforehand- its new. It wasnt mentioned in any records of previous invasions. In short, I did not know"

"How did you manage to extend the shield? I need to study it."
"It normally draws power from the inhabitants of the keep."
"Power?"
"Levels."
"So... you are using yourself as batthery, is that it?"
"Battery? ah, a power source? yes. And when I fail, everyone in the city."
"What!? what for!?"
"To extend the shield even further, and completely consume the [ERROR]s in the ground."

Basically, grandfather's plan is as follows

Move as many citizens into the safe area under the shield
Let the [ERROR]s attack and advance over the outer city rings
Turn the shield up, stretching it outwards to burn the errors all at the same time

He will act as main battery for that, and if there's a need for extra energy, 5 million people should have enough levels between all of them to stretch the shield however far it needs to go.

"Once that is done, the shield will hit their portal and lock it away. This will be their last invasion."
"At the price of 5 million lives!"
"Not necessarily. If each person contributes with 2-3 levels, it should be enough."
"Every young child, then."
"Only the newly born... and in exchange... can you even begin to imagine how many lives will be safe? all lives across all worlds. Forever."

"Want? want is a strong word. Of course I don't want to, but if that would successfully protect the existence of everywhere and everyone, I think my life and some of the energy of millions is more than an acceptable price!"

We're a chemical engineer, we don't have the math or the engineering to make an explosive lens or the cyclotrons/centrifuges for uranium processing.
Not to mention, a nuke wouldn't be of much use when we already have shields, mana cannons, and what we really need is a method of rescuing the captured people and closing the rift.

Going for a nuke is one of the most stupid things you could do.

So the Black Moon is the portal to the Cosmic Recycle Bin where the [ERROR]s were sent.
Even if one portal is closed, what's to prevent another portal from being opened?

Alrighty im up. Let's see...

***

We talk to uncle Wolfric and grandfather about our shields, as well as our research towards creating a probe.

Uncle Wolfric wants us to share the shield designs with the knightly orders, rather than the army.

"The knightly orders are widely recognized as independant organizations, while the army belongs to the country. If we recruit them and give them this technology, we can move groups of wandering knights over any border on the continent without creating a international incident."

>That sounds good, lets do it
>I fear other nations will steal the technology from them
>Other
>>
>>306168
>Other
"I believe that the Knightly Orders are too few and set in their ways to be as useful. I have already spoken with the leaders of other nations and laid the groundwork for a unified multi-national strategic command and response project. We would have greater reach, more resources, more soldiers, and a cohesive unified command structure."

Again, the XCOM Project and the Peacekeeper Command Initiative are better alternatives.
Any differences in levels can be made up by using our levelling guides, which the Imperial Army and the Hegemony Guard are already using.

Non-signatory nations at this point are the Yellowleaves Kingdom (which we need to topple their Council of Elders anyway), Alquian Empire (which we are going to conquer in a few months), Albion, Bastion, and the Black Lakes Free Cities Alliance.

Heven, Lapsiona, and the Heavenly Empire are already signatories.

Is Uncle Wolfric really going to keep Eopolis out of this? He's not even the official leader; Eldric can simply go to the city council and declare himself ruler, and the ministers would fall over themselves putting him in charge.

"Well, I guess we should schedule Eldric to talk with the council as soon as he's a legal grownup, then. Just a few more months left." -he takes one of the remaining cookies on the table- "But I think your uncle is worried about the petty minded princeps or the small, eastern city states that dot the map between here and Bastion, rather than our actual allies, you know?"

"Indeed, the first of the princes to get this technology will try to attack the others."

"As well, we can open up membership into the United Nations and the Peacekeeper Initiative. The Initiative has the advantage of being the most technologically advanced and industrially powerful; they will see that membership will protect them, but it will also leash them from starting a war that the other members disagree with.
"So they'll have a choice: join and be protected, or stay out and potentially have to fight a war that they may not be able to win. Especially if their opponents join the Initiative.
"Because even if they were to get personal shield technology and deploy it to fight a neighbor, their neighbor, losing, would have nothing to lose to join the UN and get access to Peacekeeper protection and technology."

Oh, yes, there's going to be a lot of bitching and moaning from the other city states about why we're keeping personal shielding for ourselves, and undoubtedly some of them are going to develop personal shielding from the examples of city shielding that we provide.

But in the short term, having all of those smaller nations able to shield their cities form [ERROR] incursions on their own will take a lot of pressure off of the X-COM Project, and the Peacekeepers will still have enough military force to crush anyone that thinks shields makes them undefeatable.

***

"We'll give them the technology for city shields so they can defend themselves while we arrive to help them in case of an [ERROR] attack. I think that's reasonable."
"Well, I wonder if they will agree?" -says uncle wolfric
"Well, they will certainly try to develop them further to their own ends, but as long as there's progress, having dozens of different researchers working on it will be good, I think."
"So long as we learn of their results" -says grandpa- "Perhaps we should find a way to centralize research?"

>The Heavenly Empire already has a central university and research center, we could build our own or modify one of the academies that already exist.

"Centralization isn't as important as the free flow of information, research, and ideas. Centralization is only a step towards letting centers of learning communicate their ideas to others, who will become inspired and create further ideas, as well as providing singular thinkers the resources needed to test and prove their ideas."

Well, they go with the traditional style of "one scholar takes one disciple at a time" so each scholar produces 3-5 new scholars during his/her lifetime. It may be one of the mods that's giving you problems. Possibly some kind of incompatibility with your display settings or hardware.

If the vanilla game works, you know it's one of the mods.
Then it's a painstaking effort of turning on the mods one by one to see which one is the problem.

I've been going back through the archives, and over a year ago, we broke the news of the demon invasion to Grandpa, Uncle Wolfric, Alard, Asmund, Honoria, Ren, Mako, and Okaba.

We agreed to release rock-it, mana generator, and golem technology to the Coalition nations, and that Grandpa would get Silverspire, Black Lakes, and Bastion to agree to arming up and supporting the international effort to be ready for the [ERROR]s.

I don't think he told us how successful it was.

Well I just turned on the mods that seemed most essential, like:

Stop Wasting my time: AI moves faster. I didnt think it would be so noticeable, but people recommends it a lot and yeah, theres a huge difference. Before for some reason the AI paused up to 10 seconds between ordering troops around, as if it was pretending to think. Now it moves instantly. I haven't experienced any dumb AI effect so I really think the developers made the AI take long to make you feel like the enemies were thinking their move deeply or so... and it was awful. This mod is super good.

Free Camera rotation: As name implies. Really great Mod

Overwatch All: Adds a command to send all soldiers into overwatch mode at the same time. Also a time saver

Evac all: As above

I left just those, and it works fine. Those were the same it had before, but before i was trying to make Mako, Lyann, Aritsu, etc as soldiers and it kept crashing. Got to make Mako, but the computer SUPER froze each time I tried to make someone else.

Anyway, its running fine in windowed mode, so now I can play xcom2 while running the magical xcom thread. it ran fine for hours so if it crashes now it may be because of chrome.

>>308701
Eh, that goes to show you that when you are worried about going blind, you tend to forget about stuff. He was successful, I guess I'll work it into the conversation since we are all there right now, you know?

Anyway now that the game is working (and its really weird that it crashes when i go into the character creator OUTSIDE THE GAME but works fine when im using the one inside the game to mod preexisting troopers) fine now, so im less fucking pissed off.

We speak with grandfather and uncle, and decide to spread the city shield technology.

"Wait, you mentioned you are going to evacuate the Jade Islands, correct?" -asks grandfather
"Yes, why?"
"The whole archipelago?"
"No, of course not, just the island the [ERRORS] will attack."
"Alright, in that case, isn't this a good chance to try the shields there first? its an attack we know its coming. We can ambush them there, test our weapons and defenses without civilians around."

>But then they will have about a year to work on countermeasures before attacking here. I don't wanna give them the chance
>Oh, that's a good idea. You said they learn very slowly right? Then it should be fine even if they see our shields going up.

Have the records mentioned the type I encountered the second time, or are they learning faster now? I want to know before we risk letting the [ERROR]'s have 6 months to come up with a new adaption."

The Lapsiona ones seemed to adapt to how we attacked the one in the Heavenly Empire, but I'd like to know if it really did adapt, or it was just a type that existed before but we hadn't seen.

"Ah yes, from your description, it was a field commander type. Those aren't new, but the fact you killed it in combat, is. Our ancestors found it quite impossible to get through a sea of its troops."
"Well, we were flying."
"That would certainly get you there. Despite everything else they may do, they cannot fly. At least so far, we have never found a flying type, even if they are able to go through walls, or walk on them."
"Uhm... if it was a commander type, what other types are there."
"Well..."

Commander - heavily guraded and armored. Quickly converts people into [ERROR]s

Infiltrator - Despite being no larger than a normal drone, it too can transform people into [ERROR]s, but at a much slower speed, needing several days to finish changing its victims. It is fast and quiet, but far less armored and acts alone, thus unguarded.

Drone - Usually humanoid sized and shaped. It can inherit some of the skills the base creature had, but even those based on flying creatures cannot fly. It is basically just a grunt/meatshield combo with the main purpose of dragging people to a commander so they can be converted, and serving as the commander's meat shield.

Siege - Very powerful, heavily armored. These types are normally used to attack the keep shield and are thus only seen on the final stage of the invasion.

...would be the types we have seen."

"We have been researching the ones we caught. Is how we came up with the shields. Hopefully we can also come up with some weapons soon."
"Weapons enchanted with lightning seem quite effective." -says grandpa
"Ah, they do seem rather fond of electricity in their biology. They use it instead of blood as far as we can tell."
"Well, knowing what we know now, what do you think of doing some trial runs on the shields? the keep actually has three lightning ballistae to fight off the siege types, do you think you could copy them?"

"Well, you have your own room on the keep, even though it is empty right now. It is quite ample so you can fill it up however you want." -says uncle Wolfric.

I wonder if I should make it into a bedroom or a laboratory? uncle says its ample but its still meant as a bedroom, right? ample for a bedroom would still make for a very small laboratory.

"Come think about it, wasn't the aviary empty?" -says grandfather

Right, apparently our ancestors had gryphons in the past, but the topmost floor's aviary is currently empty.

"You could make a nice laboratory there. Well, it's fine if you use it however you want. That's what I think."

We had looked at that floor once, but it was almost completely empty and people was just using it as an observation deck. Really, it is easily 900ft per side, so it is indeed quite large.

My computer just spat out black smoke and i had to unplug it, wait a bit, plug it again and its working now, so if i drop off the face of the earth, thats probably happening again.

***

Uhmm... we can probably build temporal walls on that floor to make several rooms out of it, then have a lab and a small aviary for the harpies.

Well, small is relative. Since they can fly, they can fly and it leads to the outside, they can play around the keep's towers and such. I'm a bit worried about the difference in city size, but the keep is a huge landmark so even if they don't know where they are at any given time, at least they can always find home.

Right, right, they won't become lost children.

Right?

Uhmm... would it be too greedy to try and also have a rockitship dock on that floor? the city has harbors, docks and warehouses that our ships have been using, but maybe a little dock for our personal ship would be alright? like a helipad.

Oh, maybe we can should build it on the roof.

"Alright, tomorrow let's go to the keep in the evening and take a look around so I can start measuring things."

"Lyann, please take care of Miel for a bit."
"Alright."
"p-President..."
"You know, some people say that elves are forest faeries. This way, we each get a faery, isn't that great?"

We shuch our elfie princess with a kiss.
She's currently 19. We met her when she was 16... it's been three years, uh?
In that time, she's grown nicely.
She's about 3 inches taller, I guess? she's just about the same height as Lyann, I think.

That may be on the tall side for a female elf, I think, but it feels great when we hug her.
Also, I think most of that height is leg, which is not a bad thing at all.
Now when she wears heels, its a really amazing sight, you know?
Her body has filled up quite a bit in all the right ways.

Honestly, while old fantasy tales depicted elves as small around the chest, the ones on this world are all rather 'gifted' in that area, aren't they?

Well, it may be a matter related to their diet. I once asked her if she wasn't a vegetarian and she looked me at me weird while nibbling on a steak.

To be honest, if the elves were such treehuggers, it would make more sense for them to be mostly carnivores, you know?

By the way, it seems that while nomadic elven tribes tend to have a mostly carnivorous diet, the 'civilized' elves from settlements have a more balanced diet. Also, the elves from the Jade Islands tend to have lots of sea food, though it seems they really love red meat when they can get it.

Well, such things are not really relevant right now, but each time we kiss our elf princess and gently caress these soft, shapely mounds of fless with our hands, we can't help but hold such thoughts in a corner of our mind.

Indeed, these are quite large. More than a handful, definitively.

"Muu... president, p-please don't fondle them so much...ah!"
"But, you like it when I do this, right?" -we ask while gently fondling the underside of her left breast.
"Uhh... t-that is... ah!"

Yup, she seems to be really sensitive there.

As for her butt, it is shapely and form. Well, she's taken splendidly to her dance lessons for two years now, so that's to be expected.

A splendid figure that appeals to men's sense of classic beauty.

Caressing under her skirt while kissing and groping her makes her shiver against us. Her soft body feels hot...
