Hear ye, hear ye, this quest be a continuation of another which hath fallen to the forces of Sage. Ye may look upon it here at thy own peril!

Thou rollest upon thy backside with haste, flipping thy friend up onto thyself. He gasps.

"Urch... Thank you..."

Thou panick'st. "Oh, Sir Schnepperel! Goodness gracious me, I do apologize! I must have let my mind stray, and I would never intend to - that is, I can hardly - oh, deary me...!"

The knight coughs and sits up. "Do not concern thyself further. Thy careless mounting 'tis naught compared to the mighty claws of Renexieza."

"Goodness, you faced the scourge of the north in mortal combat and lived to tell the tale?"

"Nay, I simply know her strength from example. She crushed my old master underfoot."

>>284751
"So you make dragon-slaying your business? Did I seem the princess-thieving type?"

The sir laughs and shakes his head. "Perhaps! Still thou hast a certain air of... guile about thee, Omanag."

Thou cannot help but laugh in turn. "So... why art thou such a friend to one like me?"

He folds his arms and sits back, slightly sinking into thy belly. "It took me many a year to discover there is virtue in the heart of every creature, great and small. Thine was quick to show and bright to shine."

Thy opinion of him is changed by this display of humility.

"Good sir knight, how kind thy words for..."

"Yet some beasts art wicked enough to cast away their charity! I hath no doubt the kidnapper we pursue is one such blackguard."

"Thou hast a name to mind already?"

"Verily! A monster I have dueled with many times afore. Whiteldarne, the drake of devilry!"

The name he useth is vernacular, but thou realisest he is talking of thy father. Thy father, whom thou art sure has not so much as laid eyes on any royalty greater than a baron in ten years.

Perhaps thou should'st correct thy companion - or perhaps he knoweth more than thou dost?

What art thou to do?
>>
>>293791
This guy doesn't seem like the kind of guy who takes 'no' for an answer, so it's best to just play along for now and lead him anywhere but back home.
>>
>>293791
Ask him where he got his information - he already almost tried to kill one innocent dragon, perhaps we can prevent a second.
>>
>>293802
I agree with this. It doesn't seem like he has any real proof to blame our father.
>>
>>293791
I'd rather we be fully honest. He seems nice!

Altough, we could try to correct (change) the name to mislead him; perhaps to some other dragon we don't like? Two birds with one stone, right?
>>
>>293791
There must have been some misunderstanding. I know of the one whom you speak, for he and my mother were the ones to raise me. I assure, Sir Schnepperel, my father has not meddled in the business of royals in ten years. I would advise we take our search elsewhere, do we know of any other dragons in the land around here?
>>
That's a cute, and rather pudgy, dragon.
>>
>>293791
Present yourself to him. Thine vagina hath a craving for a human penis. It is nature, thou not need feelest ashamed.
>>
>>295549
What do you think we are, some skink hussie? We have to wait until the third quest at LEAST before we can even begin to think about pulling off a stunt like that!
Plus I don't think he will know what we are doing, 'shaking thine hindquarters about like that'
>>
>>295703
We're a NEET shut-in dragonness. Think of it; we likely have extreme sexual frustration that needs to be taken care of and we've got the spaghetti to spill by trying to hit on the human we've just met extremely awkwardly (thinking we're being sexy in our head).
>>
>>295769
Meh, let's not go there. At least, not for now. I got my fill of that from rereading Exalted Quest.

CAN WE PLAY THE QUEST YOU, SUMMERFAGS?!
>>

>summer meme
Honestly, they're standard fa/tg/uys. Dragons are for lewd there, after all, just like kobolds. And lizardmen. And dragonborn.
But they get pissy if you accuse them of having a thing for anthropomorphic scaly creatures.

>>

Oh, let them have their fun.

>>296626
Why does anyone bother denying it?
>>

Global rule 3, mostly. People are still scared of the furry bogeyman and most weren't around for when there was a real reason to have the rule.

Look, I didn't care what we did. Several good options were presented and I was fine with any of them. Except lewd. So I voted against that.

>>296601
What crawled up your ass, man? We're just discussing stuff while we wait for OP to return. Chill out.

You know, I guess all the (you)s were expected I just wanted to have a good long thread like the others.

Also about the lewd. I never denied it
>>
>>296999
I will not deny that thine trips art sweet, but thine words are salter than the very sea. Men are having fun upon this quest and thou art quick to accuse. While I do admit than such profane behavior is a bit premature, I do not believe that your brand of rudeness was necessary either.

Thy passions confuse thee. Good God, thou know'st not even how to perform a mating dance! Thy tail swisheth back and forth bashfully.
>>294469
Such words! It swisheth faster! Thou jumpest back into the conversation to distract thyself.

>>293839
"Sir Schnepperel, whither and whence hast thou dueled with this... Whiteldarne?"

"'Twas years ago, when I served the Earl of Dudgeonshire. There was many an attempt to raid the castle's treasury, but I gave the wyrm what for every time!"

Thou think'st. Thy father does make hunting trips now and then - perhaps thou should'st have questioned him for details once in a while.

>>293802
>>293843
>>293866
>>294045
No matter. Thou knowest thy father to be innocent in this matter, but refuting thy friend will only gum it all up. Better to guide him with a gentle claw.

"Is Whiteldarne the kidnapping sort?"

The knight strokes his moustache. "Not in particular..."

"It could be another dragon, then. Which around here are known for spiriting maidens away to their lairs?"

"Old Rookletter always had a taste for that tradition - and a taste for the girls, too... And Athex the Green kidnapped the Prince of Frysland only yesteryear... Then there's Braugamay..."

The very name sends a shudder down thy spine. "Braugamay, the Baleful Beast of Brackwick?"

"Aye, the very same. The one who had half of Mecklenburg for dinner and the King of Sweden's foot for dessert."

"The one who burnt a wizard's tower to the ground."

"The one who summoned the devil in a Walsingham church."

"The one who killed seven score northmen with one swing of his tail."

"The one who wrestled a blizzard above the sea and won."

"And-" Thou raisest thy clawed finger. "-the richest dragon and highest bounty from here to London."

The good sir smileth. "With a king's ransom to call, and a king's reward for us! Odd's bodkins, thy wit is surpassed only by thy...! Er, thy - ah, never mind. Best be off to bed now."

He turns his reddened face away from thee, hops down from thy chest and lays down with a blanket.

Thou gazest at the sky. A plump moon spilleth its light afore the great beam of the milky way. Beyond thy camp stretcheth the smoky green hills of Swarthingham. Thou feel'st sentimental, and call'st to thy human companion.

"Good night, Sir Schnepperel!"

He holdeth still before answering. "I bid thee a good night too, Omanag."

Thou layest thy long neck down to curl up in a ball and drift to sleep. Within the hour, strange dreams come to thee.
What dost thou dream of?

>>

He was going to say "you're plump dragon behind" or "lovely scaly beauty". He's totally into you, you dolt.

You have a not wet dream of the knight cuddling you and petting behind your ear and calling you a lovely good dragon that he wants to settle down and start a nest with.

I'm enjoying this.

Schnep
>>
>>300805
Sebastian.

It just sounds nice, to me.

I'm going to take the middleground and vote for Sebastian Figglesworth Schnepperel.
Figglesworth being the second name of course.
>>
>>300890
I'm cool with that idea.

>>
>>301891
I made a Blackadder reference? To what?
>>
>>301932
I think I misremembered a scene with the baby-eating Bishop of Bath and Wells.

On the plus side, >>301905 now knows about Blackadder.
>>
>>301828
Let's not. Unless we're truly in the wildest of wilds, it's unlikely for said mutton to not be owned. Hunting in general was reserved for the lords of the land, and Sir Schnepperel might mind.
>>
>>304063
>Hunting in general was reserved for the lords of the land
>literally how any creature like a dragon would survive
If he has a problem with us hunting to keep fed, then he's a bigger idiot than I thought. I think he's a bumbling fool, but I am hoping he's not a full on lawful stupid knight.
>>
>>304191
And you don't think this problem of food is a major cause of poor dragon-human relations?
>>
>>304291
I think that dragons live like wild animals and need to eat. The fuck are you on about? Are foxes hunting for food (or whatever small carnivorous wild animal lives near you) the cause of poor fox-human relations?

Are you a legitimate loony or something?
>>
>>304291
>>304316
Though foxes aren't people and dragons are in this world. They're seen as anything from majestic creatures to evil savages, but never plain animals. The French campaign of draconic extermination is more a war than open season.
>>
>>304369
I'd like it if our MC became intelligent and charismatic enough to unite all of the dragons together to commit genocide against the humans. Dragon's greatest weakness, afterall, is that they are creatures of solitude. If someone could unite them, they would be nigh unstoppable with the humans' current technology.

Of course that won't happen. Our dragon is a race traitor that has fallen in love with one of the murderers of her kin.

A DISGRACE! NOT FIT TO BE A NOBLE DRAGON!
>>
>>304386
braugamay pls leave
>>
Good morning adventurers!
>>304386
Perhaps we can begin diplomatic discussion with the humans, many dragons may complain about "tradition" and "forgetting centuries of abuse" but those assholes can die in, some extremely painful way.
>>
New thread when?
>>
>>307982
barely on page 5 and weekend is already over bruv, we still got like three days of life in this thread.
>>
>>304437
Is Braugamay the one who will unite the dragons to wipe out the humans? Is he Alduin, the world eater?

He's the hero that dragons need and deserve. All hail Braugamay!
