Part II: >>249192

For all things Cewri (stat sheet, read it): http://pastebin.com/UgtRDe9f

Plot summary of last thread: During the second year, Welsten was officially integrated into the Cewri Tribe, with all the humans taken as slaves. The Kingdom of Brylon went on the offensive, basing their recapturing attempts on New Londo from the village of Amberly to the southwest. The giants kicked the shit out of them. Then Koggarach, a neigboring hill giant village and ally of the Cewri, came to town and proposed a swatrock tournament to be held at the first of every season. Expeditions to the west discovered a civilization of centaurs known as the Kholoron Khanate. The Kholoron Khanate was incredibly secretive, had a closed border policy, and had a strict policy of neutrality. Nevertheless they still allowed the giants to trade with them. The giants managed to block the flow of troops to Amberly, which caused them to launch a full-on offensive on New Londo. They were beaten, although a member of the Knights of the White Rose showed up the second time and proved to be a formidable foe and the giants sustained more casualties than before. Now, with transportation routes blocked off Amberly is vulnerable, but the giants still must face the newly-built fortress. In addition, winter is coming and although food and wood stores are good and everyone has enough housing, winter is still a tough time of the year and the giants must prepare.

>(Free Action) Business with the wandering traders
You part with 1050 of your silver coins and your Staff of the White Rose. In return get a Stone Tablet of Blessings, a pouch of gems, 50 stone. The traders also tell of a secret in the swamps to the south of Amberly: a mushroom forest with some very strange inhabitants. The forest is on an island in the middle of a lake, so the giants won’t be able to get to it normally, but the traders give the giants a single giant-sized canoe to visit the island with. (-1050 coins, -1 staff of the white rose, +1 stone tablet of blessings, +1 ruby, +3 emeralds, +5 sapphires, +1 canoe, +50 stone) (Mushroom City of Quil’squeg discovered!)
>(Free Action) Wor and the Tablet
Shaman Wor, eager to get his hands on another tablet, locks himself in his house again and begins studying the tablet. When he comes out, he has a further understanding of shamanic blessings! (Shamanic Blessings leveled up!)
>Continuing progress on the settlement
The giants work on completing their new settlement, Ash Lake. Just the roofs now and it’ll be complete, which is a good thing because both Anor Londo and New Londo are at full capacity for giant housing. (Progress: 2/3)
>Boosting the yak herd
In preparation for winter, the giants spark a yak boom in their yak herd! (Yak boom next turn)
>Finishing the gate repairs and mounting the catapult to the wall
The giants finish the gate repairs and begin work on putting the human catapult on the wall as a stationary turret. They haul the catapult up there but need to fasten it down still. (Progress: 1/2)
>Training the bear
You outfit the bear with a saddle and armor and begin training it for riding. As with Wor's bear, this will certainly not be easy. (-3 iron, -2 leather) (Progress: 1/3)
>>
Hmmm do you guys think it's worth visiting the Mushroom people?
I think we should probably

Finish new settlement with that new stone
continue to research hexes
Continue catipult and alchemy research

You guys think this is good? I feel we need to prepare more for future battles.
>>
>>262114
We really do need more military.
>>
>>262060
We should also have our Blacksmith Giant continue to research the makings of the Centuar Battleaxe
>>
(Tip: Preparing for Winter)
Coldha will be here in one turn, so here's a reminder of how winter works.

You can't use nature spells or boost cattle production. Additionally, farms will not be able to grow anything, so you will probably dip into the negatives for food production. Resource gathering suffers a penalty, and there is a chance of blizzards occurring that will leave you unable to do anything for the next turn (you will be alerted the turn before they come and all giants and humans will return home if outside the village). In addition, giants, humans and animals left without any form of shelter will start dying. You will also need firewood to survive. Similar to food, the more population you have the more firewood you will consume.
>>
>>262165
Why would we research centaur weaponry? We aren't ally's with them and they seem very very isolationist.
>>
>>262168
Whoops, by not being able to do anything I men not being able to do anything outside the village. So you can still research and do stuff indoors (along with gathering resources from mines and quarries). And one more thing: The wandering giant traders do not come in the winter. The swatrock tournament will still be held, however.
>>
>>262189
I'm suffesting we research how to make that weapon, because it seems to be powerful
>>
>>262196
maybe the season of Coldha the Giants have a tournament of Coldha Swatrock?

If anything we should just keep building and improving our Halberds. They fit better for our theme and are superior since they combine axes and spears.
>>
>>262222
>Them quints don't lie

Alright then I guess the axe is jsit a specialty weapon
>>
This might be useful:

From your last battle, you note the following things about catapults:

1. They do shit damage against troops
2. They have a much longer range than slingers (the human catapults were firing from way in the back of the line)
3. They get bonuses against walls and buildings

This was asked a few times but I never got around to answering it

>Finishing the settlement
Huzzah! The new settlement is completed! Your giants manage to construct some stone dwellings for both your humans and your giants. In addition, a wooden gate was built. The ground nearby is rich with granite deposits, which could be turned into a quarry for more stone. You may want to place some other buildings here too in order to get the town going. Ten giants from Anor Londo and ten giants from New Londo move to the settlement, and the excess giant and human populations will move here too. (New town: Ash Lake! New buildings: Stone dwellings (houses 75 giants), stone human dwellings (houses 100 humans), stone gate (town defense increased to 5))
>Continuing the hex research
Wor continues practicing some hexes, accidentally turning one human blue for a while. (Progress: 2/3)
>Learning how to catapult
The giants study the human catapult for a while, and using their existing research, created a design for a giant catapult! (Tech gained: [Siege Weapons I])
>Wor and alchemy
In addition to his hex exploits, Wor begins mixing various chemicals together and sprinkling a little hex magic in them for good measure. He steadily draws closer to unlocking the secrets of alchemy. (Progress: 2/3)

>EVENTS: The air grows increasingly colder as winter sets in. The crops in the field wilt and die as the choking embrace of the winter cold buries them in snow and ice. It is now Coldha.
>The Koggarach giants are back in town, this time with a new game! The swatrock teams move to the frozen lake where they learn how to play the game of Ice swatting. The rules are similar to Swatrock - hit a rock in midair as hard as you can, winner is the one who hits the rock the farthest - but instead played on the frozen surface of a lake, with the aim being to hit the rock on the ground so that it slides on the lake. The winner would again be the one who slides the rock the farthest. Now that everyone has learned the rules, the game of Sliprock begins!
>Yak boom! An additional three yaks join the herd. (+3 greater yaks)

For the sliprock tournament, Koggarach bets 20 wood and asks that you bet the same. Do you accept?
>>

Make it higher stakes.
>If our team wins you give us your best set our armor and weapons, if you win the reversal will happen.
>Our battle hardened clubs man will knock the shit out of those balls.
>>
>>262569

Keep in mind I roll 8d100 (the first four are our teams and the second four are Koggarach's) so it's a game of chance. Are you sure you want to risk giving up Fragarach, Sword of Stronk that easily?
>>
>>262594
Nah I assumed their would be more people whom would have said shit against it.
>Bet 10 yaks for 10 yaks.

>>
Rolled 90, 75, 2, 17, 40, 57, 31, 32 = 344 (8d100)

>>262607

10 yaks for 10 yaks? Bet accepted.

You probably know the rules by now. I roll 8d100 and the highest team is the winner. Rolls go in this order:

Your teams:
>The Anor Londo Boulders
>The New Londo Direbears
>The Welsten Wasters
>The Boulder Bashing Buddies (BBB)

Koggarach's teams:
>The Koggarach Worgs (best team)
>The North Gargan Avalanches
>The South Gargan Mad Yaks
>The Welsten Valley Clobberers
>>
>>262650

AND THEY DO IT AGAIN! THE ANOR LONDO BOULDERS WIN! Strengar does a victory lap around the lake. The Sir Gough's Cup stays with the Anor Londo Boulders.
>>
>>262656
We need to host the next game. Tourism makes crazy money.
>>
>>262656

Also you get 10 yaks. Since Anor Londo's stable is full, the overflow will go to New Londo's stable.

Now, what to do for the next turn?
>>
>>262504
Construct more iron Halberds. I envision our forces to compose of halberdiers in the future.

Research for better shields

Move some Yaks to New Londo but expand the Yak pens in Anor Londo

Explore the land west of Koggarach and north of the centaur trading post
>>
>>262687
I support this plan.
>>
>>262687
Could we ask the centaurs if we can have a copy of their rules so we could come in to their land?
It would be good to get these horse men as some allies.
>Also that sweet sweet iron working.
>>
I suggest we send in a spy to find the enemy's food storage

Then under cover of dayc sand an acolyte of fire with a small bodyguard squad to blow it up

Starve them out of our city
>>
>>262687

but maybe research better metal working or something instead of explore because winter
>>
>>262733

>>
>>262731
We should prepare for an assualt on Amberly soon enough. It's a fortress town that stands almost directly south of Anor Londo and is a enemy staging point. I'm expecting a force composed of many heavily armored Giants to storm the city with fire acolytes providing support and break down the gates. Casualties are a part of war after all.

>>262733
That probably makes more sense. It's just that the fog of war like that kind of bothers me.
>>
>>262687
+1 halberds and shields
>>262733
+1 now that it's winter we should stick to the research and stuff around the villages, we don't want to lose anyone to exposure.

Train Wor too
Finish building projects
>>
>>262753
We can use winter to train. Come spring we can flank Amberly from Anor and New Londo
>>
>>262619
Yeah Insiggested we make the sport
It ended up more like curling but whatever
>>
Better just stay in home and do some research in winter.
-Dig deeper mine, look for more and better ore
-Try too research some weapon, i suggest learn about centaur axe and mix it with our halberd too create some giant halberd with axe.

>(Free Action) Negotiations with the centaurs
The problem is that the centaurs don't trust you yet. Well, really they don't trust anyone who isn't a centaur. But you do seem to know something about them: they like mead and trading with them seems to make them happy. Maybe this is the key to gaining their trust? You think that there might be something else you could do, but you haven't thought of anything yet.
>Forging halberds and shields
Strengar and the other blacksmiths get to work, forging 5 iron halberds and 3 bronze wall shields. The group then gets to practicing with the halberds and practicing squad phalanx tactics with the wall shield wielders (they decide to call them "defenders") taking point and providing cover for the squad while it advances. Additional bronze heavy armor was crafted to outfit the halberdiers. (-10 iron bars, -30 bronze bars, +5 iron halberdiers, +5 bronze defenders)
>Metallurgy research
The giants decide to try and research a new, tougher metal. They already knew mixing bronze and tin gave them a stronger armor, but what about iron? They get the basics but scratch their heads as to what materials to use..or what about other metals? The mountains are full of them, and your giants think the key is digging deeper. Still, you can't just dig, you have to set up supports and all that or else cave-ins will happen. This will take time. (Deeper mine progress: 1/2) (Metallurgy progress: 1/4, research stalled until a suitable forging material is found)
>New hexes and alchemy
With an air of contentment surrounding him, Shaman Wor announces that he has furthered his knowledge of hexes. Additionally, he taught the tribe the basics of alchemy that he learned. (Shamanic hexes leveled up!) (New tech gained: [Alchemy I])
>Finishing up the building projects
The giants, despite the cold, finish construction on the catapult mounted to the wall. (+1 catapult turret)

>EVENTS:
-All your units have healed and are ready to return to battle!
-You have an enormous amount of favor! Maybe it's time to spend it?
>>
>>263127

Ack, meant +3 bronze defenders
>>
Give offering to Lava Mama to train another Acolyte of fire and to enhance our spells such as explosion and research others that will help in bringing to Amberly fort.
>>
>>263127
Level up divine fire magic and unlock volcano!

Then use the rest to train acolytes. We should get like 10 from it I think.

If the fire acolytes can get close enough to the fortress they can ruin its day
>>
>>263127
Let's get higher level divine fire magic and see if we can learn any new good spells with rest of favor.
Continue metallurgy research.
Sell 10 barrels of mead to the centaurs.
Train more units.
>>
>>263178
>>263173
>>263177

>>
>>263178
You mean dig the mines, right? You can't really progress without a suitable metal (coal for steel, maybe?).
>>
>>263194
Sorry, I meant continuing the mine
>>
>>263127
Maybe
75 favor for warmth, better living during blizzard and winter.

50 or more favor for explosion scope, higher aoe radius too burn numerous human army at once seems good.
>>
Are those berrys on those trees north of ash lake

And if so are they the kind that can be harvested in winter?
>>
>>263178
What units exactly?

>>263323
You recognize them as fruit-bearing trees. Perhaps you could make an orchard out of them in the future. But probably not until spring.
>>
>>263395
Needs to research better ammunition for siege weapons... like bunches of smaller rocks for pelting troops or boulders covered in burning pitch for attacking cities. Also maybe the giants can try to build a giant-sized trebuchet once we have better metals? It will be useful in wearing down the walls of a fortress
>>
>>263514
Before we research catapult ammo tech meybe we should make a couple more

Currently our only catapult is mounted on the wall, not that we can't make More for defense

>(Free Action) Spy in Amberly
You send your spy back into Amberly and see that not even half the troops that were there before the last raid are still there. No sign of Crowley either, although the fortress looks like trouble. If the road wasn't blocked and reinforcements came, there would probably not be much hope for the giants. Better not let that happen.
>(Free action) Analyzing the centauric battleaxe
To Strengar it looks like a normal iron battleaxe, but it has a strange symbol etched on it. Perhaps this is one of those runes you've heard about? If only you had that scroll and a centaur ally..
>Returning the Favor
In exchange for all the offerings you have given to Lava Mama, she rewards Elmagh with new and enhanced fire abilities. Lava Mama has now also granted the ability to train Clerics of Fire, an enhanced version of the acolyte, for 100 favor each. (-750 favor, Divine Fire Magic leveled up!)
>Finishing the mine
You dig down to the lower levels of your new mine, and realize that it is quite expansive and rich with Lava Mama's wealth. You have now found a source for tin and iron, and also have found coal and a strange bluish metal! (Shallow mine upgraded to Mine) (Tin discovered! Iron discovered! ??? discovered!)
>Mead for the centaurs
The centaurs thank you for your business and hand you 750 silver coins. (-10 barrels of mead, +750 silver coins, your status with them changed from neutral to useful)
>(Free Action) Researching ammunition
The catapult is nice and fun to launch, but perhaps it could have applications against humans as well? Flaming rocks? Maybe lots of little rocks? The giants begin researching the possibilities. (Progress: 1/5)

>EVENTS:
-Food isn't quite as abundant as before, which means that the population growth rate in Anor Londo has decreased slightly.
>>
>>263565
Can we spend favor too upgrade our fire acolyte too fire cleric ?

Keep making mead and trade too centaur.

Continue our blacksmithing research with iron, tin and ??? ore.
>>
>>263599

80 favor will bump your acolyte to a cleric.
>>
>>263565
Also some more slingers should be trained. And maybe we could learn the ways of the other giants hurling pointy tree logs at their enemies or javelins how they call them
>>
>>263599
+1 I would like a total of 10 clerics/priestess so we can put them around Amberly and duck up the fortress with earthquake

>Upgrading the acolytes
The giants will need all the divine strength from Lava Mama they can get if they want to take down Amberly Fortress. The acolytes pray fervently to the gods and, in exchange for their offerings, grants them new and enhanced powers. The four acolytes have now been upgraded to clerics, and an additional two giantesses have been given power on par with the clerics. In addition, four more giants receive the acolyte status. While the clerics aren't nearly as powerful as Elmagh, they have learned how to cast Minor Explosion (effectively giving them AoE capabilities). (+6 clerics gained, +4 acolytes gained)
>Learning from Koggarach
The giants, wondering about the sharpened tree-trunk throwing javeliners of the Koggarach Tribe, endeavored to learn more about the art. The warriors from the Koggarach Tribe eagerly taught the art to four young up-and-coming giants. (+4 javelin throwers, -4 lumber)
>Mead for the centaurs
Your giants, eager to please the centaurs, brew up 11 barrels of mead and ship them off to the Kholoron Khanate. It seems they like you a bit now, but gifts can only get you so far...you should stop by the trading post when you get the chance.
>Metallurgy Research
Eager to learn about the new ore and itching to learn how to make new alloys, Strengar gets hard to work at analyzing the capabilities of each. (Progress: 2/4)
>Building a giant-sized catapult
Looking over the designs your giants made in the workshop, they begin building a catapult like the human one, but with bigger proportions to match their size. This will tear quite the hole in Amberly's wall when it's done! (Progress: 1/2)

>EVENTS:
The cold winter air becomes even colder as a dense flurry of snowflakes combined with a bone-chilling wind blows through the valley. A blizzard has come!
>>
>>263893
>>263893
Continue with all current research

Visit centaur

Drill current troops or train more troops
>>
I say we should get Wor an apprentice in case of his death.

Op is there the possibility of losing this quest? As in completely lose every hero and settlement?
>>
>>263911
Visiting the centaurs can wait until the blizzard passes
>>263893
>finish current projects
>adapt the search for catapult ammo to include good alternate ammo for slingers
Sling or catapult ammo suggestions: small burning logs, large burning logs, carved Wooden balls (for distance), carved stone rounds (stronger than wood and more aerodynamic than a boulder), metal of all shapes and sizes clumps of beads.
Then we have bio shot like the formerly suggested barrels of shit, rotten yak carcass, and a new one, if we can force our humans to bee keep then not only do we get honey for our brewing but we can also huck beehives at the enemy.
>>

>Metallurgy research
The blizzard rages fiercely outside, but Strengar is kept nice and warm by the heat of the forge as he continues experimenting with the metals. He notes that the blue metal is very resilient, and would make good armor. The iron alloy he's experimenting with can hold a razor sharp edge, making it good for weaponry. He still needs to get everything just right before he can start making things with them, though. (Progress: 3/4)
>Catapult construction
Work continues in the workshop as well as the giants put the finishing touches on their new catapult. It'll be ready to roll out as soon as the blizzard is over. (+1 catapult (4A, 1D, bonus against walls and buildings, penalty against infantry and cavalry)
>Siege ammunition research
In the workshop, the research team is also churning out new ammunition for catapults and slingers. They have some good ideas but need to find a way to implement them.
>Training more troops
The troops have trouble training due to the blizzard outside, but the giants in New Londo and Ash Lake find empty houses to train in. Only two clubsmen are produced, however. (+2 bronze clubsmen, -10 bronze bars)

>EVENTS:
-The blizzard has passed! The giants are able to safely go outside the village again.
-Praise the sun! Winter will be over in 2 turns.
>>
Gonna get to bed, see you tomorrow afternoon.

In the meantime, here's something to think about:

Silver coins are the currency of the world, but what would the giants call their currency?
>>
>>264104
So far Giants have no need of currency, strengar makes everything they need for free, the silver coins we do have are all spoils of war, which the giant government (us) spends on things for the betterment of the society, mostly magic learning tools so far. Ore and bars are used like currency to acquire favor from the gods too,

I can see giants making the correlation about precious metals being important but I'm not so sure they have much motivation to mint their own coins, I would imagine they could just addopt the neighbors coinage system as it seems the coins themselves are easy to acquire and are already accepted by the centaurs, humans, halflings and the koggarch Giants.
we aren't even real participants in the economic system, we stole all the coins we have used, from an economic standpoint at least. its not like we are working or paying taxes to the crown under which the coins are minted (barylian? Who's coins are we using anyways?)
Coins value is determined by not only the weight of the precious metal but the ability to provide of the governor that backs them.
We primarily deal in raw materials anyways, it's really just convenient that our neighbors take the coins we seem to find littering the various battlefields we fight in.

Tldr; civ economics suck let's ignore them
>>
>>264294
I agree that we shouldn't mint coins but rather have a name the giants use for the silver coins we find. Like, I don't know, irks?
>>

We should stop trading with those horse bastards to the west. They are hostile to us and only serve themselves. Why give them perfectly good mead that should be going to Giants? The eternal Centaur seeks nothing but the destruction of all races and if given the chance would kill and enslave our people with out mercy. Their "weapons" are feeble in comparison to giant smithing and to take interest and use them would be an insult to giant blacksmiths everywhere who take so much time to help their giant communities. If we allow the centaurs even a small foothold in giant society it will spread like a plague and eventually bring us down from with in.
>>
>>265001

This entire time I've been getting Qunari vibes from the Centaur.
>>
>>265001
They have different magic than us - the rune things, which could greatly improve our weapons. Also if we could ally with them we could have good ranged troops that we right now lack.
>>
>>265023
The centaurs are isolationist. Giving them supplies in an attempt to win them over is pointless. We could potentially spend an untold number of resources on trying to woo the centaurs but there is a very strong chance they will simply turn it down by orders of their kings and laws. Even if they are allies their effectiveness would be brought into question. They are horse kin and the enemies we're fighting are phalanxes who would butcher them easily. Besides who really wants centaurs allies. Nothing but a bunch of unreliable nomadic ruffians.
>>
>>265111
We don't know if giving them the ale was pointless because we didn't talk to them after the fact. Also they gave us coins for our mead.
How would spearmen kill mounted archers? Cause I doubt they can catch up to them.
>>
>>265149
Centaurs aren't mounted archers. A centaurs would have none of the advantages of a horse archer since the archer can shoot and aim while the horse is moving. A centaur is essentially just a person but with four legs.
>>
>>265165
But they don't need to aim too well? They can just use caracole tactics and just try to thin out the closest troops. Also I would assume they have the speed of a horse.
>>
>>265187
That is not the giant way. Only cowards would use such a tactic when you can do battle and crush your enemy in the traditional manner. Also hurling fireballs.
>>
>>265219
You mean the giant way that is making swamps and attacking people when they are weakened?

The tactics and strategies of Giants are not meant to be understood by small Non-giant minds like yours.
>>
>>265231
By using the power of giant shamans and with the blessing of the couple. We only use the swamp ability to reach our enemy and not actually weaken them.
>>
>>265001

Easy there, we don't need to make a reputation of being backstabers. We both benefit mutually through trade.
We also can't afford to have enemies pushing at both sides.
>>
>>265356
I'm not calling for a full on centaur genocide although that wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. I just think it wasteful to give to the centaurs when they will still keep to themselves. They're also degenerate nomads for a reason. They just leave their feces on the ground which is why they always move from place to place. I don't think any of us want that on our streets.
>>
>>265001
>>265378

Why stop trading, they maybe keeping a bit distance because our flaws but they never show any agresion or evil intent

[Menacing]: Physical appearance tends to scare off smaller races and threaten large ones.
>>
So, do our Giants have the Hole-face or a normal face?

I'm partial to the Hole-face, really emphasises the fact that they aren't just Huge humans.

It has been established that trading with them is getting us somewhere:

And

>>263893

We have more to lose than gain by stopping trade with them.
>>
>>265882
Jealousy breeds success my friend. We were exiled because the others feared our capabilities. It is giant kinds destiny to rule the world and to do away with the unfit races. The centaurs are just one such race.
>>
>>265882
I'm no radical like >>265943 mr. "Make anor londo great again", I am willing to trade excess mead to the centaurs for magic but I do not respect their laws, the only reason we have not broken their false borders is because we have plenty of conquest over on our side of the mountains. I care not for the politics of horses, I am but a simple slinger and that they have not offended my giant sensibility and graciousness just yet, These foolish horses trade in coin and give away magic, our industrious Brewers will capitalize on the weak wills of this lesser race.
>>
I just don't see the point with baseless hostility. I mean sure if someone wrongs us we should definitely crush them. But against those that did nothing wrong it seems pointless.
We still don't know how big the human empire really is and even if we conquer it whole, we will probably have to fight the orcs.

Similar to the story of How the stronkborn defeated the hill Giants oldest mortal rivals the treants or as the Giants call them "wooden Giants" or "wood's"
Stronkborn had just established (the now currently lost) city of stronkonia On a site that was holy not only to the hill Giants but also to the wood's.
Every day the woods would come alive and atack the city of strokonia and every night the woods would retreat to rest and regroup. This went on for many years until stronkborns third wife, demigod and master brewer "Mariugah the divine alchemist" devised a plan to go out in the middle of the night and water the woods with poison.

That night was especially dark and she grabbed the wrong barrel by mistake and while she thought she was poisoning the woods she was feeding them the finest mead ever made.

The next day it seemed like it had worked the woods did not appear to fight in the morning and the city of stronkonia was overjoyed, that night a terable wale could be heard all througout the forest that kept the city of stronkonia awake all night
The next morning the woods appeared at the gates, on hands and knees, not to fight but to beg for more of the delicious mead that they were given the night before, the stronkborn demanded that the woods lay down their arms, the woods literally ripped off their arms and lay them before stronkborn, and this is why giants use wooden clubs, also why religious giants splash a small amount of
Mead on any tree or wood they intend to harvest or use for crafting.

I've grown to consider them to be more akin to a mix of D&D hill giant and dark souls giant that bear characteristics of both. So not quite giant humans but not quite hole-in-the-face spoopmonsters either.

I'm liking the debate with the giant supremacists vs. the giant progressives. Who will win and determine the course of giant society?
>>
>>264841

>>266195
I forsee a future where rather than having specific troop rolls we would have all of our giants outfitted with a sling with a bag of diffrent kind of shot, an advanced mace or club of some kind, a net, a wrist mounted buckler, and lightly trained in fire magic, Or at leas a few commando/gladiator units, why not embrace all parts of giant culture?
>>

>>
>>266321
>>266213
I want to emphasize the net users, it's like having a mundane rope version of the swamp spell, plus at a Giants size it will be extra effective on groups of smaller units, you can throw the net and then bash or throw the net then set it on fire, or throw it than drag the weaklings away from their allies. I wonder who can throw a net the furthest? Nets rule. Maybe even a new game, whoever can net the biggest yak the fastest wins. Giant rodeo!
>>
>>266321
If we have a disorganized and undisciplined force it would be hardened to lead. While I agree not having all of our troops be in units.
We need a majority of our soldiers to be in units that can be easily advanced and retreated.
>We can make diffrent military branches.

>(Free Action): Seeing what the centaurs want
Although many would like to never give the arrogant centaurs another barrel of mead again, you at least decide to go to the trading post to see what they want. Apparently, in order to get into good graces with the centaurs you must prove your strength. Since the centaurs at the trading post like you enough, they give you a lead: there's a dragon that's been rather troublesome to the centaurs in the southwestern plateaus. The centaurs would like you to get rid of it, but as it is in centaur territory the other centaurs won't simply let you pass freely. The centaur traders suggest sending a team of 4 of your best heroes to fight this dragon. However, choose well, as dragons are some of the most powerful creatures on the planet. The giants decide to go back to think this over, they do have Amberly to worry about after all. The centaurs simply tell you to return when you're ready, that dragon's lair isnt going anywhere.
>(Free Action) More from the spy
Your spy in Amberly is doing well, this time sketching a rough map of Amberly Fortress. It seems there are thick, stone walls around much of Amberly Fortress and the fortress itself has five mounted ballistas on it - four small ones on the corners of the main fortress and one larger one atop the tower next to it. He marked the positions of the ballistas with triangles. The situation is getting dangerous there, however, and he asks that he be recalled immediately.
>More troops, more weapons
The giants decide to expand on their retinue, making giant, heavy iron versions of the hammers they build with. Strengar finds that these are especially effective against heavily armored troops, even more so than maces. However, they're big and heavy meaning that they can only be wielded with two hands. Three of these units are trained and equipped. Strengar also finishes a prototype for a two-handed iron sword like Fragarach called the zweihander and gives them to three fighters along with light armor for speed and maneuverability. In addition, three more halberdiers are trained. Strengar notes that you're getting low on both iron and bronze. (-45 iron, +3 iron halberdiers, +3 iron hammermen, +3 iron zweihandermen, +equipment for each)
>Finishing metallurgy
Strengar thinks he can finally put the two metals into production. The tough durable mineral is dubbed "Mithril" and the shiny iron alloy is dubbed "Steel". As stated before, Strengar suggests that mithril be used for armor and steel be used for weapons. (New tech: [Metallurgy II])
>Wor's apprentice
Shaman Wor, growing old, knows his time may come at any moment and thus begins to pass his acquired knowledge down to a pupil named Valdoth. Wor is pleased with his progress but realizes he still has much to learn. (Progress: 1/5) (New hero gained: Valdoth, Shaman Apprentice)

(cont'd)
>>
>>266364
Begin to rally our troops. The time has finally come to break Amberly. Also get Wor a big hat to wear.
>>
>>266376
Should we actually make Milthril armor and Steel weapons for the best troops first?
>>
>>266385
I say attack the fortress now just because theres the possibility that if we procrastinate they might add another layer of defense. I'm also not sure how many troops we can equip with mithril and steel equipment.
>>
>>266397
How does the seasons work though. If we go out now will it counts as Coldha or Wetha
>>
>>266364

>[Divine Fire Magic: Fire Blessing]
Elmagh takes Fragarach, Gough's bow and Armaaga's bow and casts an incantation, causing the weapons to glow a bright orange before being set ablaze by flame for a second. The fires may be called again in time of need, granting +1 to attack to all three weapons.

Bring all our troops but leave a skeleton crew behind to keep our lands safe. (Specifics TBD)

Strategy:

In the middle of the night, the Giants take the road to Amberly and ensure the road is still blocked. Before the fortress is in sight the split into 2 units. Stronk unit goes to the north forest above Amberly. Lava unit goes to the forest east of Amberly.

Lava unit strikes first. Earthquake on the walls, Fire on the ballistas. When Lava unit has the attention and ground troops make contact, burn the forest with their ground force inside. Then move Lava unit east and up into the forest where Stronk unit starts.

On cue, as Lava unit retreats, Stronk unit comes in from the north and pours into the gates while the ballistas burn. Once Lava unit has regrouped in the north, they will come down and strike again.

We come in waves and erupt like the volcanoes from which we hail! Praise to Stronk!
>>
>>266634
We should try to use all of our metal material to outfit our troops

In order for this to happen
we will need MANY more Giants shield defenders. Should we make the shields out of mythril? The shields could also come in handy for that dragon.

We should also bolster our troop
numbers even more before the assault
>>
>>266634
Military rough draft:

Lava Unit: 5 Heavy; 3 Halberds; 2 Maces; 1 Hammer; 2 Zweihand; 4 slingers; 4 clerics; 1 acolyte; Elmagh; Wor

Stronk Unit: Gough; Armaaga; 5 Heavy; 10 Halberds; 2 Maces; 4 Defenders; 1 Zweihand; 7 slingers; 4 javelins; Catapult

Leave behind the rest under Strengar in case they send someone in (sounds unlikely but you never know)

Melee: 12 Bronze Heavy Clubsmen (3A, 4D), 14 Iron Halberdiers (4A, 4D, bonus against cavalry units), 3 Iron Hammermen (4A, 4D, armor-breaking x2), 4 Obsidian Macemen (4A, 4D, armor-breaking), 4 Bronze Defenders (1A, 7D, provides cover against ranged attacks for 3 units), 3 Iron Zweihandermen (4A, 3D, bonus against infantry)
Ranged: 9 Slingers (2A, 3D), 4 Javelin Throwers (3A, 3D)
Magic: 6 Clerics of Fire (4A, 4D) (Bonus against flammable objects), 4 Acolytes of Fire (3A, 4D) (Bonus against flammable objects)
Siege Weapons: Catapult (3A, 1D) (Major bonus against walls and buildings, penalty against infantry and cavalry)
Allied Troops: 4 Bronze Light Clubmen (3A, 3D), 4 Javelin Throwers (3A, 2D)
>>
>>266656
At the very least we should train 6 or more defenders and a couple more slingers and javelin throwers. Those 2 handed sword and gamer Units look useful as well.

OP does that mine we have generate ore per turn now? Also do we have enough money for the Rune tablet now?
>>
>>266656
Do we have time? You attack with the army you have, not the army you wish you had. They're fortifying too, and they're faster than we are at that.

But of course the issue will go to the Council of War for a vote anyway.
>>
>>266678
We definitely need some shield defenders in the Stronk Unit. We would Benifit from more ranged and melee types too
>>
>>266681
>>266682
We should make more giant defenders but give them disposable great shields just for the charge to the wall then toss them, excluding the real defenders.
Other then that's I would say train more hammers, this is gonna be their last stand so we have to make sure to make a display of what happens when you resist.
>>
>>266690
Man I wish we had spent our mead on threat totem of animal friendship, then we could have gotten more animal mounts
>>
>>266697
Well OP I see that we are running out of ore, how many units are we able to train?
Does that mine produce any ore?
>>
Well we could always fill barrels with feces and chuck it inside their hold. It would turn their fort against them. It provides effective harrasment. And is low resource demanding.

But that idea was coined before. And I agree with
>>266682
>>

>>
>>266707
Yes I think we should.

I remember we have a battering ram that will help with the siege.
We could have humans help us, offering payment in mead and the 827 Shina-bits (coins)
>>
>>266707
>one shield with the mithril you've collected.

Give it Balgmar and put him with Lava Unit (forgot to include him lol)
>>
>>266727
I assumed a 2-handed shield he could use to get close, then sling on his back and switch to Fragarach. That might be stupid. Maybe give it to Wor or someone vulnerable...
>>
>>266735

A shield you can use only half the time is basically worthless.

No, if we make a shield that big, that fucker better learn how to wield his weapon in one hand and the shield in another.
>>
>>266725
I think the humans we have are still slaves so I don't think we can offer them coins without first giving them freedom.
We could totally take a gamble though and say we will give them freedom if they participate in the military campaigns but they will probably desert or fight against us.
Well unless Wilbur actually knows anyone that's trustworthy.

>(3 actions) Last-minute preparations - Smelting
Strengar gets hard to work at smithing up some new weapons and armor out of the new ore. He starts with a custom-order mythril shield for one of the defenders. Then, he makes another set for a halberdier, along with a bronze club and armor for a 2 clubsman and a mace and armor for a maceman. Lastly, he makes a mighty steel halberd for one lucky giant. (-3 mithril bars, -3 steel bars, -11 iron bars, -15 bronze bars) (+2 bronze heavy clubsmen, +1 obsidian maceman, +1 steel halberdier (in iron armor), +1 mithril defender, +2 iron halberdiers)

Also, you see the horseman fall off his horse. However, his torch is put out as well and you can no longer see where he is...either way if he's going to get reinforcements it will take him longer to do so.

The giants hear many loud snapping noises followed by the whoosh of three ballista bolts. The first one misses, but the second one lands true to a halberdier, who lies wounded. The giant ballista finds its mark in a maceman, who gasps and chokes as a ballista shot pierces his chest. He soon falls over, dead. The clerics respond by shooting another barrage of explosions, destroying a ballista and damaging the giant one and the other remaining one as well as screwing up the fortress a bit. In addition, they are both on fire. The acolytes concentrate on the archer line, easily killing three of them. Regardless, the archers continue firing. Although the shots are mostly blocked due to your clubsmen and macemen's trusty shields, one of the clerics is wounded by the barrage. The spearmen find and engage the Lava Team. The giants manage to kill two and one falls on his own spear..two remain though. Stronk Team continues to stand by..

>Turn 4

(Reinforcements en route!)

The fires are put out on the ballistas, but the last of the smaller ballistas is rendered unusable by the blaze. However, the giant ballista is still functional. The clerics fire at it, but they can't do much damage to it without their explosions so they instead focus on the archer line. 7 are killed in a fiery barrage. However, they fire back, concentrating on those who are busy fighting the spearmen. One acolyte is wounded in the attack. The zweihander units quickly dispatch the remaining spearmen while Balgmar orders an all-out charge on the wall. With a crash and a tumble there is now a hole in the fortress! The giants break through the western wall into what looks to be a residential district, where 10 spearmen and 20 swordsmen are waiting for them! One slinger is wounded during the chaos, although Balgmar rips through two swordsmen. Stronk Team is given its cue to strike and moves into position.

Forces from New Londo intercept a human running south across the valley, but before they could catch him he gets a scroll from one of his pouches and uses it to shoot a small magic missile into the air! The interception team quickly kills the man to stop him from sending any more signals of any kind.

The giant ballista takes careful aim at its target, knowing that this might be his last shot, and hits a Lava Team zweihander unit, killing him with a giant harpoon through the back. The Clerics, with their explosion spells activated once more, this time dealing severe damage to the ballista due to their closer position. Not only is it on fire once more but it looks like it's on its last leg. Stronk Team sees its signal to move out and makes its way forward. They fire the catapult, which opens a solid hole in the wall, and bursts through the other side, where they encounter a regiment of 20 swordsmen and 10 spearmen, much like the other side. 20 archers scramble their way up the wall and begin firing, but the defenders form a shieldwall and completely block their arrows! Gough and Armaaga fire back, easily killing two archers, and the javelin throwers skewer 2 more. A zweihander takes the opportunity to run up the wall, killing three and knocking another two off the wall and to their deaths. They steadily work their way south, killing four swordsmen and a spearman, but one clubsman is wounded from a flank attack behind the defenders. Lava Team Lava also makes its way south, with Balgmar taking point and killing a swordsman while Wor charges in with his bear, which kills 2 swordsmen and a spearman in its attempt to satisfy its post-hibernation hunger. However, another spearman manages to knock Wor off the bear, wounding him. The remaining zweihander kills a spearman and Elmagh lights up two swordsmen. Then the halberdiers charge forward, killing an additional 3 swordsmen. The push southward continues.

The warning beacon shines brightly from atop New Londo! Troops sighted to the north! Arrival in two turns!

(Moving catapult at New Londo! 2 turns left)
(Reinforcements en route! All slingers, Elmagh, 3 clerics, 5 halberdiers and 4 javelin throwers returning to New Londo! 2 turns until arrival)

The giant ballista, having been on fire for a while, burns to a crisp and falls apart, thus ending its reign of terror over the battlefield. Your catapult, on the other hand, is in perfect working condition and fires a well-placed shot to the fortress. As forces retreat to reinforce New Londo, the other troops push forward. On the Lava Team side, Balgmar pushes furiously forward, slaying two spearmen. The remaining zweihander on the Lava Team side follows the lead of his Stronk Team counterpart and runs up the wall, swinging wildly to great effect and killing 4 archers. A halberdier takes the other side, and between the two of them they manage to kill everyone else on the wall. On the Stronk Team side, the zweihander, seeing as how these unfortunate archers are like fish in a barrel at this point, continues mowing down archers until there are none left, leaving only the infantry troops below. The remaining halberdiers that didn't retreat begin another charge, skewering 4 spearmen,. Gough and Armaaga take out a spearman each, and the rest are able to clear the room, although two clubsmen and a halberdier are wounded in the chaos. They break through to the next room, where 9 horsemen and 10 spearmen awaited them. The horsemen charge on sight, managing to circle behind and then skewer and kill a poor defender, although the steel halberdier quickly intercepts him afterward.

In New Londo, Strengar is growing nervous at the numerous torches. He could make out catapults, at least three of them, and four phalanxes of fighters, plus whatever else the darkness holds. 11 giants couldn't hope to stop that...he prayed to Lava Mama for the reinforcements' swift arrival and to Stronk Dad to remain stronk.

>Turn 7
The Lava Team manages to break through to the other side, and join the Stronk Team in doing a pincer attack to box in the horsemen and finish off the spearmen! Additionally, your catapult launches a volley at the fortress, bringing it toppling down! Your giants then get to work at setting the town aflame, killing any and all villagers. No one was left alive, save a select few of the most valiant human warriors to make the pilgrimage. Now, with New Londo in danger, they decide they need to get back there, NOW. They tend to the wounded and then get moving.

Strengar is relieved to see the ambush team back and in one piece. Now if the other reinforcements could get here, the giants might stand a better chance.

Four catapults, two phalanxes of 40 iron swordsmen each, two phalanxes of 40 iron spearmen each, 20 horsemen, and 50 archers. To make it worse, there are ten pegasus riders - lightly armored but extremely nimble, and the first flying foe the giants have had to face. If hostage negotiations don't go well, this will be tough. (244 military strength total)
(Giants' military strength: 46)
>>

We should get Strengar or someone to parley with their leader once our guys arrive. Send an envoy to Koggarach just in case.

I'm calling it a night good luck and praise Stronk.
>>
>Turn 9:

(1 turn until Team Lava and Team Stronk arrive with the hostages)

[Divine Fire Magic: Eruption]
In an effort to buy time, Elmagh prays fervently to unleash the full strength of Lava Mama upon the enemies. The ground raises slightly due to pressure before erupting violently with a burst of lava, hot rock, and superheated gas. Two of the four catapults are completely destroyed, and the other three are now ablaze and severely damaged. The catapult mounted to the wall fires and destroys another one, leaving two. Before long the earth grows cool and nothing is left but a crater between the second and third catapult.

The remaining catapults fire upon the wall, tearing huge chunks out of it. However, it still stands. It can't take much more abuse like that though. (New Londo town defense reduced from 5 to 4)

As the infantry advances, the pegasus knights charge, skewering one slinger, wounding another slinger and then wounding a javelin thrower. The javelin throwers fire back in the name of Koggarach, and knock a rider off his mount and to his doom. Slingers find that due to the forces of gravity being against them, the lobbed trajectory of their rocks makes it difficult to hit the pegasus riders, and the pegasus riders' bobbing and weaving amongst friendly troops makes it difficult to target them with a cleric's explosion spell. The rest of the melee troops can barely even hit them. The halberdiers, with their reach, have better luck, killing one, but they're just too quick for anyone else to hit. Where are Gough and Armaaga when you need them...

The pegasus riders move out of the way just long enough for the archers to fire a volley which wounds a slinger. The clerics fire a barrage of explosion spells in return, killing 7 archers and blowing back many more. The rest of the troops continue their slow advance forward.

>Turn 10:

Team Stronk and Team Lava finally arrive with the hostages, and not a minute too soon. The humans, seeing all their captive people, agree to parley for their release, as the giants threaten to kill all the hostages if the army does not comply.

So here's your homework: You're still licking your wounds from Amberly and now Brylon's throwing you a surprise attack that threatens to overrun the city. How would you negotiate your way out of this? Would you press the advantage? Take your chances? Play it safe?
>>
Either way negotiations will continue tomorrow afternoon because I need sleep. Stay stronk!
>>
>>268031
Oh my god, that game. I love it so much.

But Florina sucks unless you get her to a really high level. Then there's that level with the ballista...
>>
>>268115

Negotiations will only postpone the inevitable, we waged war, and we either commit to it, or lose everything because we've gotten desperate in the face of an actual challenge. The king clearly already showed that we aren't going to be left alone.

I vote for primal carnage, all melee units rally and devastate ground units. Slingers, acolytes, and javelin throwers focus on any enemy units organizing.
>>
>>268397
Our peg knight in most FE series is fine Florina a bit weak early but beast late game, on the other hand enemy peg knight is complete joke.

>>268555
Just try too bluff negotiating try too buy time until reinforcement arrives then attack them
>>
If war wearyness is a thing in this game our troops have it, we just broke a city and had our team run back and forth

We should try to hold this off untill the latest possible.

And now that we know what they can field we can plan for it.

>we have them walk into a 4 way defensive trap

While they are at the city we have a stationed force in ash lake, anor londo and koggarach circle from all sides. New Londos north is essentially surrounded

Implying this is a day or 2 in the future so we can implement this idea
>>
>>268587
All of our reinforcements are in New Londo. No more help is coming.

>>268555
Not necessarily. The goal in destroying Amberly was to get rid of the humans in the area so that the Giants could rule the region.

We can still do that.

The human slaves so far haven't given us a boost in resource gathering or anything. But their lives are valuable enough to the King to get what we want.

Parley: trade the land south and west of Ash Lake/New Londo for the humans' lives AND declare that when the time comes, the Giants will help the humans against the orcs. We only want the land needed to regrow our Stronk Tribe, not genocide. Unlike the orcs...
>>
>>268688
i like that second plan, unite under a common enemy and such
>>
>>268688
Wasn't the entire point that Amberly was mostly halflings?
I don't think the King will really care as we seen in the previous communication. He didn't care about population of New Londo and he won't care about the 20 humans. At most we could try to use the fact that Amberly has Salt.
If we could negotiate with his generals or something like that it's another thing though.
>>
>>268820
We could offer a deal with the humans? They don't want to lose that big ass army and we don't want to keep the fighting going.
We got what we want, we can just try to negotiate peace, stating we are willing to have peace and trade if they are willing.
But we will only attack if attacked, that said if the humans run the change of completely crumbling under the orcs we will assissit if need.
>>
>>269128
I don't think it's that big? I mean they still have lightning mage and some more champions probably.
Also the king arleady refused the peace when we took New Londo. The most we could probably get out is a temporary truce. Another thing is that even if we fight orcs with them what's stopping them from just crushing us after they conquer the orcs?
I'm all for peace with them but with the current human king it will be pretty difficult.
>>
>>269145
I wouldn't assume it's their biggest in the land but with all those iron weapons, armor and other things it would be a pretty big economical loss of we killed and striped all of them.
But that's if we can win, with the wizard and I'm sure some kind of competent General and officers this wouldn't be as easy as our last fights.
so I think it would be a right choice to make a weak peace untill we can rebuild our numbers and reinforces our walls with stone or we can kill them all, take the iron and make super soldiers.
>>
>>269186
Well it's not like we will lose anything trying to negotiate so might as well try to get something favorable. If that doesn't work I think we should just fight them and win. We will probably lose a lot of troops but if we win the humans probably will realize that they can't win war on two fronts that easily.
And if the enemy army dies we could try to incorporate humans from New Londo into the army because if we win battle with 1:3 odds they will realize we are actually strong.
>>
>>269227
>Well it's not like we will lose anything trying to negotiate so might as well try to get something favorable

+1 no one else needs to die today. Plus the human generals would be walking with all those lives saved. They get to go home as heroes and champion negotiators, the humans get to go home, and Giants get to keep their hard-fought land. Everybody wins!
>>
>>268115
We have a good chance of victory, even with the odds we have. Our heroes are good and I think Amagga and Gough would make quick work of those Pegasus riders. We should try to negotiate, it doesn't hurt to try.

But our negotiations should be all our nothing. Something along the lines of complete Alliancs with a pledge to ending all agresion
>>
>>269439
Also can Shaman Wor fight? If nonnegotians work, his defense and healing spells will be crucial

On a unrelated note we should try to capture the Dragon alive to tame it. After all it is a news of Lava Mama and Stronk Dads domain. Imagine having our fire priest ride a fire breathing beast into battle?

>Parley and negotiations
Upon seeing the captives, the enemy commander, a pegasus knight, sees the prisoners. "ALL TROOPS! HALT ADVANCE! HOSTAGES SIGHTED!" He, along with the rest of the surviving pegasus riders, halt the attack in order to parley. The enemy retreats and re-enters its initial formation, putting out the fires on the catapults and reforming their ranks. The commanding officer rides forward. "We see you have taken Amberly and have prisoners, and therefore we will accept your request to parley. We ask for all of your captive humans and hostages. In return, we will halt our attack and we will agree to a temporary cease-fire. If you refuse, then my army will follow its orders and we will free the prisoners ourselves. What say you?"

>>

We should create some kind of explosive so if the city ever gets lost we can blow it up from a distance

"Is it possible for us to keep Welsten but in return, we will participate in your wars against orcs and of course free all the human population? We would also send you half the salt from the mines near Amberly."

>>270682

"However, I will order my army to retreat in exchange for the prisoners like we previously discussed. I cannot promise the same for my kin, however."
>>
Give him the prisoners. It will make him leave for now while we can build up for the next human incursion. This is also interesting that the Humans are so willing to send this many troops considering they're fighting a war on two front between us and the orcs.
>>
>>270760
They will come again though. And if we crush them now they will realize they won't be able to fight on two fronts, before they were probably underestimating us.
>>
>>270727

"We hold the line against the orcish scum, despite what the commoners would have you believe. Your assistance is unnecessary. I will speak to my liege about the salt arrangements, but first you must let my people go."
>>
>>270775
"We can give the hostages from Amberly in exchange for the ceasefire and retreat. The fate of the people of New Londo will be decided at the negotiating table, not on the battlefield."
>>
>>270774
I don't think we are in the best position to deal with them right now. Last time they brought lightning spells and now they bring Pegasus Knights. We should eventually counter that by doing something like train our own archer corps.
>>
>>270794
+1
I have a feeling this will bite in the arse later though.
>>
>>270810
If they leave now, they can save the lives of the people of New Londo. If they advance, they definitely can't.
>>
>>270825
Ye but this option pretty much can change perception of our nation in the eyes of the human empire.
If we give them hostage they can see us as beings that can be negotiated with or as weaklings that want peace.
If we don't they could see us as powerful or bloodthirsty.
That's the part I'm negative about.
>>
>>270825
If we could do something like trade half the hostages now, and the other half later to ensure that we can actually have negotiations maybe that would be a good balance. Just something to show that we aren't pushovers.
>>
>>270794

The pegasus general pauses to think for a second. "I accept, but only on the terms that you free the slaves and let them make their own decisions. Anyone who wishes to leave Welsten must be allowed to do so. Those who wish to stay may do so."
>>
>>270845
That's what I'm trying to do. The prisoners from Amberly are the first half. The slaves of New Londo are the second half.
>>
>>270851
Welp if we agree on this it's likely they will just brand those who stayed as traitors and just bombard the fucking city or something like that.
>>
>>270851
"If the cease-fire is guaranteed I agree to your terms. The people of Welsten will be free to stay or go. I'm sure you have heard of the great housing and fine ale we provide to them. I shall refer to my Council of War for their consensus. See you in five."
>>
>>270858
I think it's a pretty good deal. They're acknowledging that we haven't been huge dicks to the humans we've kept around. We've installed one as mayor, for example. Their spies probably took note.
>>
>>270872
At least let's ask for some disarmed human troops to remain or something like that so they don't bombard the city or some other guarantee.
>>
>>270872
Let's be honest most humans will probably leave and then the only card left we have is New Londo that they can attack. And they can just ignore the ceasefire or say it's just for a season or a year. Or just ignore it altogether. After all history is written by the victors.
>>
>>270879
If they break the ceasfire and bombard the city later we can destroy the buildings and salt the earth.

They can have their city...IN ASHES!
>>
>>270913
Most will. But the ones who stay will make all the difference in the world.
>>
>>270922
But they wouldn't care about the buildings I feel that's the thing. They didn't bombard us before because it was full of humans.
The problem they have is us blocking their major road connecting north cities to the south ones.
>>
>>270922
Let's just ask him about a guarantee they won't attack.
>>
>>270856

"Then we agree to a cease-fire of no less than one year. On my honor as a Knight of the White Rose, I will see to it that this is carried out."
>>
>>271017
nevermind, sorry i misread the original post
>>
>>270998
There is never a guarantee

Especially if there aren't any humans in here that may get killed in fighting.

If we let loose our entire population there'd be nothing stopping them from attacking

I wonder if there's some way to do a duel between the chief and the enemy commander

>>
>>271006
So we keep the human slaves in New Londo or are we giving them freedom of choice? Honestly can't tell.
>>271017
I think they would like to avenge their fallen soldiers but we will see what happens.
>>
>>271006
I agree
>>
>>271025

Give them freedom of choice unless you wish to change your mind. The general undoes his cloak and indeed shows that he is a white rose knight and introduces himself as Sir Guilford Raynes, Terror of the Sky and General of the Estgaard Armed Forces.
>>
>>271025
They become able to stay in the city or leave as they choose.
>>
>>271048
"Can you give us any sort guarantee that we can negotiate about the future of Welsten instead of it ending on the ceasefire?"
>>
this entire year we need to make new londo the most giant fortress possible
>stockpiles
>moats
>traps
>tons of catapults and ballistas
>net troops for those pegisi
>>
>>271070
We should just train more Giants to use great bows like Gough. They essentially carry the impact of a small ballista. The same might go for catapults. Acolytes and Clerics of Lava Mama can shoot projectiles at the enemy from afar and better yet they can move and react much more quickly. I agree with fortifying New Londo in general though.
>>
>>271070
Fully agree.
>>271087
What about trying to research crossbows? Basically making smaller handheld ballistas.
And we could definitly use more Acolytes and Clerics.
>>
>>271087
Good point scratch the catapults, unless we have a good number of humans who stay. If they stay they should be granted equality and thusly used in the military, that'd be the best thing they could use.
>>
>>271070
>>271087
>>271103
+1 I agree building the military is a given.

We may also need to consider a way to give them a reason not to attack us in a year. notice they have a huge army and as the general said there are many more to replace them.
>>
>>271066

"That will remain up to our king. I can assure you that, as I am in command of the Estgaard Armed Forces, you have my word, but even though Estgaard bears some autonomy as a protectorate its hand can still be forced. However, as Estgaard is a major producer of ore for Brylon, our politicians have a seat at the ruling table. We will do our best to keep the others in check and ensure that you have a proper audience with King Halios."

>>
>>271136

"Then it is decided. All men, fall back! We're headed to Estgaard!" As requested, you turn over the hostages, and pledge to let the humans decide whether they should stay or go. The army then makes for the north, and is eventually out of sight without any further incident.

Victory!

>>
Rolled 61 (1d90)

Here's how many humans leave. Birth rates will probably be accepted as well.
>>
>>271427
Birth rates will be decreased*

61 humans leave, happy to enjoy their freedom. However, some are either too attached to their homes or somehow benefit from staying in giant lands. 29 humans stay, 15 in New Londo and 14 in Ash Lake.
>>
>>271414
1 pegasus rider, 1 spearman
2 swordsmen, 1 archer

Smelt all the iron equipment we've seized, it will be useful in equipping our army. Do the same with the bronze armor and weapons and offer them to Lava Mama in order to train more priestesses and to gain favor.
>>
>>271461
We could learn something from the siege engineer.
Also let's leave atleast some armor and weapons if any humans will want to join the army or just the militia.
>>
>>271414
How about the human weapon is it also too small for giant ?
>>
>>271470
Yeah, and the swords are actually shortswords like the ones you've been getting. The giants can still wield them, it's just that their weapons are a lot smaller and do less damage than yours do. It probably wouldn't be good to use them except in a pinch or as part of a plan.
>>
>>271469
The iron can go to constructing and training more giant Halberds which is arguably more effective then several humans as seen from our previous engagements with the kingdom of Brylon.
>>
>>271494
lets melt all weapon and armor then
>>
>>271501
Fair enough. If someone wants to join though lets give them a chance though.
>>
>>271501
>>271522
+1 if they volunteer too become town guard or milita just give them a set of weapon and armor
>>
>>271541
We could honestly try to experiment with them and make them be like mounted units or some type of troops we don't have yet.
>>
So while I'm still updating the pastebin what should the giants do next turn?
>>
>>271555
Maybe even try set up a giant-human buddy system, have the power of the giants and the smaller size of the humans at the ready. Also furthers race relations
>>
>>271555
Im not sure we have enuf number too form human squadrom

We only have 29 human, half of them maybe are woman, children and elder.

For mounted unit we can train our bear and use totem too lure more, or gain centaur favor.
>>
>>271576
Wor continues training his apprentice.
Train some zweihander and halberd troops.
Try to research handheld ballistas.
Ask Wilbur to talk with the remaining humans - what's their expertise, do they have any big needs.
>>
>>271576
Have human siege engineer and strengar implement ballista tech for our great giant bow.
>>
>>271576
Smelt the enemy weapons and armor. If we ever need to we can just make more armor for some sort of human militia even though I am against the idea

Sacrifice a lot of the bronze to Lava Mama to gain favor. We should learn about stronger magic that has better effective distance

Begin a remodeling of New Londo to make it more fortified

Construct weapons including Iron Halberds and Bows. In due time we will have archers to swat any Pegasus knights or dragons that bother us.
>>
Rolled 97, 61, 33, 7, 77 = 275 (5d100)

Rolling to see if the humans survive the pilgrimage - 70 or better is needed for those with a low probability of survival, 50 for a medium chance and 30 for a high chance. Order is as follows: Pegasus rider, spearman, siege engineer (low), swordsman, archer (medium)
>>
>>271414
Don't forget we should burn the icons of faith and throw the bodies in the volcano. We should also send a task force to look at that Dragon and at the Mushroom people.

>(Free Action) The First Pilgrimage
It was a long and tough battle, but victory was achieved. According to the principles of the Pilgrimage, the clerics and acolytes must gather the corpses of the nearly dead and carry them to the Sanctuary of Lava Mama. The clerics and acolytes, along with a funeral procession for the fallen giant warriors, crosses mountain, valley and crag to reach the Sanctuary, where the dead are sent off to become one with Lava Mama and the monks of the Temple assess the status of the humans brought on the pilgrimage. A pegasus rider, spearman, and an archer survives the trek and are fully healed by the monks, but the siege engineer and swordsman unfortunately succumb to their wounds. The surviving humans, having learned the truth of Lava Mama and Stronk Dad, endeavor to serve the giants in any way they can in the name of Lava and Stronk. (1 human pegasus rider (spearman until you find him a mount), 1 human swordsman and 1 human archer join the military! Gear from the loot pile equipped appropriately.)
>(Free Action) Checking in with Wilbur
You ask Wilbur about the status of the village, including who's left, what abilities they have, etc. "Well shoot, looks like ya got yerself nothin' but a few old folks, some craftsmen, a few brats and some nice-lookin' ladies. Not a one of these guys looks like he can figure out what side's the pointy end of the sword though. Oh yeah, looks like you got another love letter." Gough picks up the tiny letter, which is written in furious scribbles compared to the first letter received. "DEAR MOTHERFUCKING MONGREL BEASTS:
I WILL HAVE YOU AT THE THROAT SO HELP ME STRONK! YOU RAZED AMBERLY AND NOW YOU HAVE ESTGAARD IN YOUR LAP? FINE, YOU ARE HEREBY INVITED TO MY COURT ON THE THIRD OF HOTHA. IF YOU INBRED FOOLS WISH TO FOUL UP MY AUDIENCE CHAMBER, YOU MAY DO IT THEN.

SINCERELY,
HALIOS"
What does he mean by "so help me Stronk"? Mighty Stronk Dad does not favor the puny humans.
>Smelting bars and gaining favor
In an activity that has become a sort of post-battle ritual, the giants melt the weapons and armor of the humans in a giant vat and pour them into bars. The result is a total of 83 iron bars and 116 bronze bars. The bronze bars are then sacrificed to Lava Mama, who rewards you with 580 favor (5 per bronze bar).
>Handheld ballistas?
Wow, those ballistas sure were nice, but they look way too bulky and cumbersome to carry around the battlefield. They first start to research any remnants of ballista parts in the Amberly ruins, and then draw some designs based on the knowledge of siege equipment they already have. Now the problem is getting it down to a managable size....(Progress: 1/5)

(cont'd)
>>
>Rebuilding and remodeling in New Londo
The giants in New Londo, seeing as how it's pretty much the primary target of Brylon right now, get to work rebuilding the damaged walls and reinforcing the existing ones.

>EVENTS: Koggarach has come for the swatrock tournament! Though they are a bit disappointed that the first one was cancelled, they celebrate your victory nonetheless. This time, they bring 3 javelin throwers and ask that you wager 3 javelin throwers of your own. Do you accept?
-While the human dwellings have been much less crowded as of late, the giant dwellings are overflowing in Anor Londo and New Londo! They're migrating to Ash Lake, which still has quite a bit of housing left, but that'll get overwhelmed eventually too.
-The cease-fire has gone into effect! It will expire on the first of Hotha during Year 3. Brylon will be preparing, so should you!

>>
>>271873
Well the stakes are pretty high. What do you guys think?

I think we should use all of our current materials to build up more halberdiers, hammermen and ziewienders

We should try to tame/kill that dragon and explore that mushroom island .

The Centaurs and mushroom people could prove to be valuable allies

>Bro we should turn Amberly into a full fledged Military Academy Fortress and call it Stronk Fort
>>
>>271859
We could have the giants have a shoulder mounted ballista like the men in battle realms LOL
>>
>>271853
Yeah, not sure why I keep doing that. Silver coins are the default and only currency in this quest.

>>271888

>>
>>271873
Accept the offer

I highly suggest to make a group of archers. The crossbows will not be ready in time the cease fire ends and we need better ranged units to deal with Pegasus Knights. We already possess the crafting skills for it and bows have a greater range then a crossbow and with proper training has a greater rate of fire.

Have Gough venture forth and slay the dragon in centaur territory. Not so much to help the centaurs since I still despise them but it will increase the prestige of Gough and make us a greater force to be reckoned with.

Construct more iron Halberds
>>
>>271873
Research nets, long spears and handheld ballistas.
continue rebuilding New londo and add extra giant housing too.
>>
>>271887
I agree. But let's make sure we keep researching hand balistas.
>>
>>271897
I think we can send 4 hero units against the dragon and we probably should. Well unless we want to tame it.
>>
>>271907
I'm on edge on wether we should tame it our kill it. It would go along with the dark souls theme if Gough kills the dragon but since it has fire it might be seen as a sacred beast to Lava Mama and be useful. I guess it just depends on wether or not it's large enough for Giants to ride.
>>
>>271873
I'm sure we are supposed to have 2673 silver coins because we also got 750 from trading ale with the Centaurs
>>
>>271916
Boy oh boy I'm sure a dragon is big enough for a giant to ride.
>>
Kill or tame it
The bounty form it's body scales, claws, teeth, blood
And the stockpile items the dragon has collected may even be worth a hero, since a giant clad in dragon scale armor would be a wreaking ball
>>
We should research tactics and army formation, stuff like phalanx will be good.
>>
>>271916
I honestly dig turning it into armor and weapons and shit like that for our champions.
>>
>>271897
The crossbows will be ready, we have a little bit more than a year for the war preparations
>>
TIP: Unit Types and Weaknesses
As you may have noted in the military and heroes section, certain weapons and weapon types deal bonus damage against certain other unit types. For example, siege weapons such as catapults (with the default shot) are effective against walls and fortresses but not so much against ground units (and even less against aerial units). Bows (especially Gough's) are effective against aerial units, and halberds are effective against both aerial units and cavalry. Axes are good against units with shields, and maces and hammers are good against heavily armored units. Divine fire magic is good against wooden objects such as most siege equipment, and two-handed swords like Fragarach and zweihanders deal extra damage against light-armor units. Additional strengths and weaknesses will be revealed as you encounter different unit types.
>>
>>271916
Well think of it like this

>We bring a large number of iron/mythril shield defenders
>They shield from the flame
>The Giant Blacksmith Makes specialty net arrows for Cough and Amaggra
>Shaman Wor makes specialty Stunning/ Tranquilizing arrows and darts with magic and alchemy
>Fire Priestess and Clerics can try to gain favor of dragon though lava mama
>Shaman Wor can maybe try some animal magic
>Profit???
>>
>>271928
The crossbows will take 4 more turns to be done. The seize fire lasts for another three turns. We could construct Bows and arrows in this time and train archers.

>>271920
Still depends on the size and dimensions of the dragon. There's also the possibility that Dragons can be seen as servants to Lava Mama and having our warriors ride them which I really like or if dragons are seen as a deviation and curse to Lava Mama.
>>
>>271942
i vote we have some sort of scholar such as wor or his apprentice look more into dragons and more specifically the one we need and work from there trying to gain its favor or kill it whatever we must

Thank you OP for putting up with this....
I don't know how you do it I've always wanted to do a quest like this but I would get so lost

So I'm confused. I know you guys want to go after the dragon but is there a clear consensus on whether you want to kill it or tame it? And if you do want to tame it, how do you propose doing that?
>>
>>272063
tame it . I proposed how in this post >>271942
We should also buy that Animal Friendship Totem
>>
>>272080
Let's send all of our heroes along with all of our shield defenders and clerics/acolytes. I would even say we send all of our heavy troops as backup.

Can our slingers and javelin throwers do anything against this beast?
>>
>>272080

Thing is you only get 4 units, anything more and the centaurs will detect you and kick you out because they have a closed-border policy and the dragon is inside their borders. So a four-person squad operation. I need to know who's going and what the strategy is if you would please.
>>
>>272063
The question is if the dragon is holy or not. Is it a avatar of Lava Mama on earth or is it an abomination that must be killed. The idea of having a giant fire breathing drake stead that can just swallow Pegasus does get my dick hard though
>>
>>272080

Also the price for the animal friendship totem is 20 barrels of mead. It'll probably take a few turns for you to make that much considering the average amount made per turn with an action devoted to it is about 10.
>>
>>272104

Red dragons are holy to Lava Mama as Her chosen amongst dragonkind. Green and black ones are okay, but those motherfucking blue ones...
>>
Also is there sort of a generally known consensus about dragon intelligence?

Is it like a intelligent beast or some sentient monster like Smaug?

Not really worth trying to 'tame' something that's smart enough to formulate good escape plans.
>>
I would honestly just leave the dragon thing until tomorrow so the anons from earlier timezones can give their opinion. They might have some good ideas.
>>
>>272137
The dragon isn't really going anywhere and we could also research stuff about dragons in the meantime like the other anon said.

>(Free Action) The king is a giant!?
How does the king of Brylon know about Stronk Dad when everyone knows that Stronk Dad doesn't favor the puny humies? That's exactly what everyone who's read the letter is asking right now in Cewriland. The giants ask Wor, hands down the brightest scholar in the village, if he knows of any lore regarding an exiled giant. The only ones he can think of is...us. Did our religion spread or something? Maybe you could use this as a bargaining chip...
>Making a no-fly zone
Those pegasi could really pack a punch! They could just fly over the walls and cause huge amounts of trouble, and having a whole army of those things come down on the giants would be BAD. The giants devise ways to bring it down, and come up with an idea: what if we were to tangle the horsey up and make it so that it can't fly? Then it'll fall like a sinking stone and that's one less problem. From leather strips to strands of rope, they try everything to make the perfect anti-pegasus net. (Progress: 1/2)
>Bigger is better...except for ballistas
The giants continue trying to shrink down ballistas so that they don't take a giant and a half to haul around everywhere. They tried a prototype that was hauled on their backs, but the recoil shot them back about fifty feet. Back to the drawing board, I guess. (Progress: 2/5)
>Finishing the fortifications and building some houses
The giants put the finishing touches on the new wall and then get right back to work, updating the shabby wooden housing in favor of stone dwellings like the ones in Ash Lake. This is a giant town now! (Progress: 1/3) (-10 stone)
>What's that growing on those trees?
Walking by the northern shores of Ash Lake, you notice a peculiar sight that you didn't really see before due to the winter snow...are those trees bearing fruit? You go to investigate and the fruit are apples! You can make a mighty fine pie with these. The giants get to making an orchard out of them right away! (Progress: 1/2)

>EVENTS:
-The wandering trader is in town! This season, he has 15 mithril bars for 500 silver coins and 15 steel bars for 500 silver coins as well. Also, he has another totem of defense for 1000 gold. This will add an extra layer of town defense, but you can only have one per town! Too good to pass up, right? What do you say?
>>
>>272203
Finish the young shamans training.
Research ballistas.

For the dragon, what color did they say it was? How much was the totem of animal friendship?
>>
>>272203
Oh and yes to trading for bars but idk about the totem
>>
>>272230

Totem of Animal Friendship is 20 mead. Prices on centaur shop items are towards the bottom of the pastebin for reference.

Upon asking the centaurs at the post about the dragon, they tell you that it is a hulking beast the color of midnight. You're not sure if Lava Mama would like it or not, but as long as it's not one of those blue bastards She will probably not object.
>>
Also I'm asked about learning phalanx tactics and all that. You guys have seen enough battles by now that you know how phalanxes, flanking, pincer attacks, etc. work, plus you've already implemented your own innovations with the defenders and the giant shields. So you're okay in that department, as long as it isn't impossibly hard you can probably get away with it :)
>>
>>272239
Oh OK thanks

So maybe the best technique for the dragon would be to use nets to pin it to the ground. We also need to worry about fire so I say bring mithril shields too. We should send Gough and three others equipped with hand ballistas and mithril shields and nets.

If it's he color of midnight it could go either way. Most likely its a mean ol' black dragon or at worst a blue mf. Do the centaurs think the totem would work on the dragon?

Hand ballistas are gay. There's only one way to deal with a dragon.
>>
>>272203
Research ballistas and nets, continue construction of houses.
>>
>>272251

With a creature that big, you'd probably need more than one. Dire bears and worgs are one thing but these fuckers are BIG.
>>
>>272267
Okay sounds like we will:
Research nets
Reinforce walls
Research ballistas

Accept trade

For the last action: research shaman or make mead for trading the animal friendship totem?
>>
>>272296

So do you want to accept the WHOLE trade or just the steel and mithril?
>>
>>272316
Whole trade. Why not, you can't take silver with you to the stronklands when you die anyway right?
>>
Lava mama has a temple in the mountains

I propose we build statues of stronk dad in new londo

If this king is a follower of the true gods than he wouldent sack a town protected by him right?
>>
>>272326+1
+1>>272324
>>272296 +1have our Blacksmith giant research making special mythril nets.
Send our 4 heroes equipped with mythril shields and nets

I also suggested we research stunning/tranuilizing darts as well as trap/net arrows for Amagga and Gough. Thoughts?
>>
>>272347
Also if you want to get into venomology and poisons bee keeping would be a great source of raw venom. We have all been stung by the Simple honey bee its venom causes fairly significant swelling and pain, now imagine what a dire hornet sting would feel like. I'd be willing to bet my left nut that there are dire hornets, even extremely rare mountain top demonic ice hornets if we looked hard enough.
>>
>>272347
yeah lets make some harpoon arrows for our ballistas so we can pull flying shit to the ground after we shoot it

>Thanks for the business!
You part with 2000 silver coins and in return are given a totem of defense (can go in Anor Londo or Ash Lake, gives +1 to town defense), 15 mithril bars and 15 steel bars.
>Net research
Now you know how to make nets of all kinds! Chain ones, rope ones, giant ones, tiny ones...these might have other applications as well. (New Tech: [Nets I])
>Making progress on the houses
Getting there but not quite. The giants will be pleased with the upgrade though. (Progress: 2/3)
>Hand-ballistas
We're gonna need a new bowstring...or twenty. Still, progress continues. (Progress: 3/5)
>Adventures in Shaman School
He's finally getting it! Wor thinks his pupil may have finally found a way to stop killing things instead of healing them. Now if he could just do something about all the bugs he summoned with that last hex... (Progress: 3/5)

>EVENTS: 2 more turns until Hotha! Are you prepared for your meeting with King Halios on the 3rd of the season?
>>
>>272404
prepared for the meeting with the king? Psh. Wonder if the King would wager the contested lands in a game of swat rock?
>>
Build bows and train archers. By the time we have "hand ballistas" researched the cease fire will be over and then there's the issue of constructing them and training how to use them

Train 4 fire acolytes and 2 fire clerics

Make the wall in New Londo 10 feet higher

Construct steel hammers and mithril armor in order to equip troops with it

When is Goughs next child expected to be born?
>>

finish houses, keep researching ballistas.

>Finishing the houses
All done! The giants eagerly move in to their new houses, and the giants of Anor Londo are glad they don't have to migrate that far. (New building in New Londo: Stone Dwellings (can house 75)
>Steel hammers and mithril armor
Strengar gets away from the bottle for a moment and he and the other blacksmiths craft 5 steel hammers and 5 mithril heavy armor. (+5 steel hammers, +5 mithril heavy armor)
>Acolytes and Clerics
Two clerics and four acolytes are ordained and trained. Elmagh is pleased. (2 clerics, 4 acolytes trained)
>Hand-ballistas
Finally some headway! The giants think they have a good working prototype. It just needs a bit of testing and then it might be battle-ready. (Progress: 4/5)

Going to bed. See you tomorrow evening.

Some things to think about until then:

>What are you going to do about this dragon?
-Should you tame it? Kill it? Something else?
-What 4 people are you going to send to do the job? (This is a 4-man mission due to it being in centaur territory and large numbers will draw attention to the centaurs who will kick you out)
-What is your plan? Regardless of whether you want to tame it or kill it, going in blind and hoping for the best will probably end badly.

>Now that Amberly's gone, will you venture south and discover the secrets of the swamps?

>What should our general game plan be when we meet the king? Peace for salt is the reason why you're allowed to have an audience with him in the first place, but do you really want to be his salt-mining slaves for a little extra security?

>New thread tomorrow probably
>>
>>272453
Kill the dragon, we have limited time and knowledge about the dragon lets forget the taming ,doubt the dragon will bow too us.

Party
Gough
Elmagh
Wor+bear(count as 1 person)
Balgmar

Preparation plan
Order Strengar too use our best material upgrade our hero armor and weapon also dont forget too give our bear some armor and extra metal claw too.

Spend favor too further buff the hero equipment grant physical and fire resist or any beneficial blessing from gods.

Buy summon lava elemental spell, if we need favor maybe we can use our gemstone 1 ruby, 3 emeralds, 5 sapphires or any valuable things.

Create health pot and mana pot if we can.

Fight plan
Gough aim the dragon eye or any vital organ before combat begin act as regular archer when combat begin just keep distance

Elmagh keep distance use group buff summon lava elemental too tank the dragon fire attack .

Wor keep using buff group atk/def/heal and send bear too help tank the dragon.

Balgmar Standby with two handed weapon and deliver massive strikes when opportunity present.
>>
>>272453
i do think we need more info on this dragon before we do anything, i wanna know about how big and what color maybe even layout of the surrounding area and such

also think the secret in the swamp will help us deal with the dragon or the king eiter one is a plus so we should do that

and i think for salt some good trading and promise of dead dragon or we could get the king off our ass

>>272642
+1 on this team and outfitting then heavily
would like more info on the giant though

think it could help to expand our minning operation to get all out giants in at least good iron armor or better
>>
>>272642
Agree with party composition.
Agree with upgrading armor and weapons.
We should try to improve Mass Minor Stronk Strength.
Battle Plan would be something like Wor uses buffs, debuffs heals if needed.
Elmagh casts Minor Stronk Strength for buffs.

The problem lies with we don't know where it's lair is or like >>273074 said we don't know what colour it is. I bet that they have diffrent breaths depending on colour.
If it's open area I guess Gough trying to shoot its wings so the dragon falls would be a good idea and then Balgmar can attack it with Fragrach.
Might also be a good idea to give Balgmar the giant Milthril Shield so he can guard others from the breath attacks.
Also ye expanded mine would be better.
>>
> give humans small nets and begin catching fish in ash lake
>build stronk temple in new londo
>more walls in new londo
>send a squad of giants to explore that mushroom island and the south
> find those salt mines

We should keep 1 hero as an ambassador to the humans, anything less than that would be insulting and prompt more hatred
>>
>>273074
>>273091

+1 to the party composition. We got nets, we should use them on the dragon. At least capture it.

+1 to exploring swamp secrets.

+1 to training the apprentice again.

We need to figure out a plan for the king. If we bring Valdoth, Wor, Gough and Elmagh to the table we might have an advantage cuz they know hexes and fire magic and Gough is really intimidating.

Pay a human to go into the kingdom and get info about the Stronk comment
>>
>>273202
think the stronk comment was meant to sarcastic possibly

also send wilbur the smallest giant with them
>>
>>273202
We definitly need to bring Balgmar to the table. Since we know King is probably worshipper of Stronk, Stronk's champion with his own blade would pretty much show that we share the same faith.
Also I just realized we don't have know where their capital is according to the map.
>>273238
Definitely sending Wilbur too, yeah.
>>
>>273246
+1

>>273238
>think the stronk comment was meant to sarcastic possibly

>>272203(OP)
>Did our religion spread or something? Maybe you could use this as a bargaining chip...
>>
>>273091
>>273074
>>272642
Ok i will add some more preparation

Visit centaur ask them more about the dragon, whats the color ? how big is it ? etc

Check swamp for helpfull things
>>
We should at least try to tame the beast

have shaman wor and the blacksmith giant create specialty arrows
tranquilizer arrows
temporary blindness arrows
frost arrows(maybe to temporarily prevent fire breathing)
harpoon arrows (fire a bunch around the dragon and tie it down
net arrows
>>
So what will be our goal in negotiations? We should probably agree on it.
Probably the first priority for us is keeping New Londo or peace? If it's possible do we want to be part of empire? Be allies?
>>
>>273784
No giant will ever kneel before puny humans
>>
>>273828
What if it's another giant though?
>>
>>273784
An end to hostilities and the recognition of the free state of Cewri lol we're Palestine now
>>
>>273784
We will never surrender the territory that is rightfully ours. The humans were not at all worthy of possessing New Londo which is why we took it and must hold on to it. We will not be associated with any sort of realm that is so grossly incompetent and lead by an ignorant ruler that insults us in such a condescending matter. Lava Mama forbid that we bow down to a kingdom that is not our own and commit actions that benefit Brylon more then us. Stronk bless the Cewri!
>>
>>274144
lmfao i agree but i just want peace and ability to deal with this dragon correctly so however that can happen
>>
>>274171
I'm kind of passive on the dragon. The centaurs described it as colored like the midnight sky which probably means it not a red dragon and more likely is a blue or maybe black one. If it was red I would say tame it right away but it can keep terrorizing centaurs as long as it's not bothering us and it's not red.
>>
>>274225
If we kill the dragon we could turn him into armor, weapons and probably some alchemical things.
If we tame it we get a powerful mount.
There could also be loot in his lair. We also improve our relations with the centaurs so we can learn rune magic to possibly make even better weapons.
It would also be another piece on the negotiating table showing that we are powerful enough to kill a dragon.
>>
>>274261
but it takes a force even more skilled to tame such a powerful beast

>Ride in from the sky to say tell the centaurs their won't be a problem with the staging anymore
>they all collectively horseshit themselves
>ride back to the human nation
>torchthevillages.jpg
>Fuck bitches
>get money
>easily explore the rest of the map
>toast some yaks for lunch
>profit????
>>
>>274345
>attack humans
>they cast lightning bolt
>fuck
>>
>>274345
I like you buddy
>>
>>272453
We should poison the Horse fuckers water supply but pretend we didn't do it and up the price of mead and fresh water to get some of that cash money
>>
>>274461
Even I disagree with this. We don't have to be backstabbers because that is just weak and feeble. We should just do what needs to be done here by subduing the dragon and just leave. Besides, how would they not notice a giant pouring something into a well.
>>
>>274361
>As if a motherfuckin dragon doesn't eat lightning for breakfast
>>
>>274597
still, underestimating the enemy is pretty stupid
>>
>>274604
I was joking. To put it more eloquently,

To further the goals of the Gweri people we should aquire the Firebreathing beast as to aide us in defense of our nation and future wars

>I know we arnt going in all guns 'n dicks if we want to attack a army or village. We will plan
>>
>>274636
>going in all guns 'n dicks

Solid gold/10
>>
>>274529
Then just have a giant piss into a well and call it an accident DEATH TO THE HORSE NIGGERS!
>>
>>275282
Woah this isn't a Trump rally man simmer down
>>
We should make a new thread for today this one has reached the bump limit
>>
