Hello one and all, and welcome to Dangan Ronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Quest. A quest inspired by the incredibly weeaboo series Dangan Ronpa. You like killing games like Battle Royale? You like Murder Mysteries? You just might enjoy this quest! (I make no guarantees though.) This quest is set at the prestigious Yggdrasil Academy International, where a mysterious set of circumstances unfold.

Yggdrasil Academy is a prestigious boarding school catering to a specific set of secondary school students gathered from four countries: The United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and the United States. There are two main entry requirements for this academy. One, students must already be attending secondary school, and be at least 16 years of age. Two, students must be the absolute best at a specific talent out of the combined student body of the four countries listed above. There is no way to apply to Yggdrasil Academy. The only way in is for the school itself to scout you. Because all students attending the academy have something they specifically are the absolute best at, they are referred to by a specific title.

Omegas.

As they're the complete end-point when it comes to students in pursuit of that talent, it's only fitting to call these end-points of talent Omegas. After all, there's no surpassing an Omega.

Our Protagonist, Zachary Lineman, is the Omega Actor. Having organized a theatrical performance, Zach has spent more time getting to know his classmates. Now he has retired to his dorm room to investigate a mysterious laptop found on the first floor.

We're back, baby!

I dont know why, but I'm getting Teruteru vibes from this play.
>>
You enter your dorm room, shutting the door and locking it behind you. You sit down at your desk and pull out the laptop. It's a sleek black model, and it looks like it's taken a light beating. Hopefully it still works, despite the damage. You connect it to the power outlet in your room and switch it on. The Yggdrasil Academy logo pops up with a pleasant chiming sound effect. The next thing to appear on the screen are the words "Welcome, Zachary Lineman" in bold blue text on a black background. That's strange. Did Monokuma put that in, like with the E-Handbooks? A blue bar pops up underneath the words, stretching across the screen. Underneath are the words "Enter Password."

What do you do?
>>
>>238476
So, Narrator. How'd your week go?
Anything exciting that gav you strucks of genius?
>>
>>238476
Oh shit we're back.

>>238526
Can we enter anything? And do we have a limit on how many times we can input?
>>
>>238526
Enter random words or phrases that you know, then help from Cassie.
>>
>>238531
Not really.

>>238541
You don't see anything to indicate a limit on character space or amount of incorrect inputs.

>>238545
You tap in random words and phrases, but they don't seem to hold up. You're probably going to need to focus on something specific. Cassie's good at solving puzzles, but maybe asking her for help would rub Juliet the wrong way?
>>
>>238564
We could always ask them both. The more help the merrier
>>
>>238526
start with some basic attempts like monokuma yggdrasil, omega and murder.
>>
>>238564
get her anyways, she's the only one we need

You type in obvious choices like Monokuma and Omega, but nothing seems to work. Eventually, a password hint pops up. "Having some trouble Zach? I guess you're just too stupid to figure it out!" Oh come on, that's not a password hint! You decide to go ask Cassandra for help. Her Omega Solutionist abilities ought to come in handy. You head out of your room and look for her, first knocking on her dorm room, then asking around. Apparently she's at the Gym. You head there, and sure enough she's sitting cross-legged in a corner, practicing her lines. Juliet is checking the lighting system over at the other end of the room, and Georgina is sitting on the edge of the stage, swinging her feet back and forth while she reads her script. It's just the three of them.

You approach Cassandra. "Hey Cass, could you help me with something? I think you're better suited to it than me." She looks at you quizzically. "What? Did you find a puzzle of some sort?"

What do you do?
>>
>>238658
Explain to her the situation, though away from others and cameras. Get Juliet in on it too.
>>
>>238658
yes, it's a puzzle!
a quiet down type puzzle
>>
>>238676
>>238684
You whisper to her "I found a laptop on the first floor, Juliet wants me to look at it for her, but it's password protected. Does your Omega Solutionist talent work for stuff like that?"

She looks at you and gives a small smirk "Don't worry, I'll get it done in no time flat. Let me have a look."

The two of you leave the gym together, though you notice Juliet staring at the two of you as you leave. You walk through the courtyard on your way to the dorms, and Cassandra stares sadly at the tree where Quentin's corpse was discovered, now cleaned and restored by Monokuma. Once the two of you arrive at the door to your dorm room, you open it for her and head inside. She heads straight to the laptop, looks at it for a second or two, then types in the word "Despair." You hear a chime and the laptop is unlocked. She walks away from the laptop, sits down on your bed, and grins. "What did I tell you? I only needed one try. Now you can check whatever you want to check."

You head over to the Laptop, and are greeted by the desktop screen. There's a tacky wallpaper that looks like Monokuma drew it, and a few desktop icons, all with no names under them. There's a knife, a gun, a scroll, and a magnifying glass. You try to activate the home menu, but it doesn't work.

What do you do?
>>
>>238751
Wow. I feel like an idiot.

I get the feeling we're not going to be able to look at all of them in one sitting, if at all. Let's start with the scroll first.
>>
>>238751
Scroll
>>
>>238769
>>238799
You click on the scroll, and it looks to be the Student Roster for this year's class at Yggdrassil Academy. It's got the whole class there, Profile pictures, birth dates, all the stuff you'd find in your E-Handbook. But unlike your E-Handbook, your profile's portrait is missing. That's strange. Well, that's all you're going to get out of this one.

What next?
>>
>>238814
Assuming the Magnifying Glass is a search function...

Let's go with Gun.
>>
>>238814
Gun
>>
>>238834
>>238864
You click on the gun, and a new window pops up. It shows a map of Yggdrasil Academy, dotted with colored circles. Above each colored circle is the name of one of your classmates. You click on the dots with your name, in your dorm room, and a camera feed pops up, looking at you. You turn around and move away from the laptop, but the camera tracks you. It seems this is some kind of Student Tracking program.

What next?
>>
>>238866
Knife me up, Narrator
>>
>>238866
Cassandra's still with us, right? I'm surprised she's not commenting on anything.

Knife next. Magnifying Glass as well since that's the only one left afterwards.
>>
>>238870
>>238887
Clicking on the knife icon, a picture pops up on the screen that chills you to the bone. Cassandra gasps. It's a picture of Quentin's murder scene. It looks like there's a timeline underneath. Clicking backwards, you can see a picture of Cassandra punching Quentin's lights out. All the Monokuma File data is here as well. This must be the case recorder.

Finally, you check the Magnifying Glass. The laptop beeps and the light on the webcam turns on. You stare carefully at the screen, watching as the static fades and forms into a solid image... An image of Monokuma's face.

"Heya Zach! How'd you crack my laptop?"
>>
>>238918
You're super into Despair, so it was obvious that was the password.

Also, fuck you.
>>
>>238918
Shouldn't you know that already?
>>
>>238924
>>238944
"Well to be honest, I was watching something else. Looking at someone using a laptop is a snooze-fest! A bear needs a little excitement in his life, y'know? Anyway, sorry there isn't much on there! I upgraded my hardware pretty quick, so I don't have any use for it anymore! They have really cool supercomputers here at the Academy! But enough about that, what are you doing, you teenage maniac? Luring an innocent young girl to your room... That's absolutely dirty! You're dirty, Zach!"

Cassandra yells at the screen. "You're the dirty one, you stupid Bear! Get out of here!"

"Well, I guess that's my cue to leave. Have fun with the laptop, Zach! I'm sure it'll come in handy. Oh and by the way... When did I ever say I liked Despair before? I certainly can't remember. Bye!"

The image fades to static.

What do you do?
>>
>>238979
Ask Cassandra how she figured out the password, trying to change the subject to something less uncomfortable. It certainly has to do with her talent but it's quite curious, especially since Monokuma never mentioned despair.
>>
>>239003
"Hey Cass. How did you guess the password so fast?"

"That's just my Ultimate Talent. It's what I do. I don't ask you how you act, do I? Drop it."

"It's just handy to have a method to solve Monokuma's passwords, so if you want to talk about it..."

"I don't. Oh hey, look at the time."

You glance at the clock. It's already 9 o'clock. Where'd the time go? It's probably best to go to sleep now. You'll just escort Cass to her room, then head back and get some shuteye. You turn back to her and... She's already asleep on your bed!? But you sleep there!

What do you do?
>>
>>239067
Well, that was unexpectedly harsh.
Cass should be fine in our room for now, what's the worst that can happen? Before we figure out where we're going to sleep maybe we should go talk to Juliet about what we found, she looked a little disappointed earlier.
>>
>>239067
Find Julie, lock the dork with the keys, then continue onward with the search.

So far it's
>Knife = Murder Case review
>Gun = Student Camera monitoring
>Scroll = Student Roster
>Magnifying Glass = Contact Monokuma directly?

I wonder if I fucked up making Zachary mention Despair to Monokuma. That might have been too meta, now that I look back at it. But hey, it might have thrown the Mastermind off-guard?

>>239067
S U S P I C I O U S
Sleep with her.

You leave your dorm, locking the door behind you, and head over to the gym, where Juliet was. She was the one who asked you to look at that laptop, after all. It's only fair that you should report your findings. As you approach the door to the gym, it swings open and Juliet steps through. As soon as she sees you, she freezes, an expression of shock and fear on her face. She opens and closes her mouth, but no sound comes out. You see tears start to pour down her face. At last she manages to squeak out her words in a small voice. "Zach. Please. Help me."

Normally, the pitiful expression on her face and her heartrending words would make anyone want to help her. But right now you're given pause, as she's covered in blood, and clutching a bloody broom handle.

Session end! That's all for today folks!
>>
>>239140
Fuck. I'm sure this will end badly.

Any idea when the next session might be?
>>
>>239153
https://twitter.com/OmegaNarrator I post session times ahead of time with this.
>>
>>239140
This will be one of our greatest role yet!
Please be innocent, Juliet. I like you too much for you to be a murderer.
