Province number map for the curious.
>>
Crossbreed Stunky x Glameow and Roselia x Gible.
Send a diplomat to the Nuzleaf and tell them that a bigger and stronger nation is coming to conquer this island, and that we could protect them if they become our allies.
>>
>>207986

You breed STUNKY and GLAMEOW to make

SNEASEL

Sneasel are now available for use.

You breed ROSELIA and GIBLE to make

DEINO

Deino are now available for use.

=---=---=

You send an envoy to the Nuzleaf to warn them that a larger nation to the north has been eying Root Island and that they should become allies.

The Nuzleaf wave off your warning on the basis that you have no proof of any nations, or even land for the record, to the north. You also get the feeling that they do not trust you somewhat considering what you did to the Spinarak.

What is your next action?
>>
Tell then that there are sailors from those lands in your port and that they should at least consider a defensive pact.
>>
>>208054

You tell them that there are sailors from the those lands in your port city, Chrabrost, as the proof they wanted and that they at the very least consider a defense pact.

While suspicious, they do want to actually see these sailors first-hand and want access to the port city. If they find you are not lying, they might consider your words
>>
>>208103
Allow them access, but have some Yanma keep an eye on them. Don't want them to go sneaking around where they don't belong.
>>
>>208113

You give them access to your port city but only under close guard, not wanting them to see anything they shouldn't. They are curious however as its the first time they have the chance to see your land but the Yanma assigned were careful in making sure they don't wander too far.

Once at the port city, they are shown the ship and some of its crew, who were out and about town but were clearly ready to leave. The ship as well, looked ready to leave but it looks like you caught them in time.

The Nuzleaf now accept your word as fact and will consider a defense pact but want to negotiate another deal in the meanwhile.
>>
>>208138
Allow them to do their business, but spy on them to find out this deal.
>>
>>208138
Assimilate the Glameow Tribe.
>>
>>208185

You decide to let them do their business but spy on them as well. You find that they are speaking to the Zubat, mostly about trading items and foodstuffs- nothing political but you do note that the Zubat have Thunderstone, which is of note.

=---=---=

You decide to assimilate the Glameow tribe but your government has not finished being changed to a MERITOCRACY. This action will be delayed until then.

=---=---=

Churches have been built in a current cities. General modifier for units increases from +10 to +40

What is your next action?
>>
>>208387
How are the Cannons going? if we have them yet, start producing a dozen or so for our armies.
>>
With Barracks and Carts, as well as 50 Dustox, Mothim and Ledian each, create a Caravan.
When it's done and has items to sell like Wood, Maize and Copper, send them to Pichu territory through Zubat land without any previous notice.
Tell the Caravan members to gather information about the Pichu and get money, and to travel through all provinces.
When asked if they're part of the Skorupi/Yanma tribe, tell the Pichu tribe citizens that they have no affiliation to the government (lie)

Breed more Rattata, Zigzagoon, Sentret, and Glameow.

Use Basic Tools and Metallurgy to create War Hammers and Flails with Nails.

>>208419

You decide to build SMALL CANNONS, this will take 7 rounds.

But at least they will look spiffy

=---=---=
>>208467

You decide to make a Trade Caravan and send a large group of Bug/Flying types, mostly consisting of Dustox, Mothim and Ledian to the Pichu and Zubat lands along with trade goods they might want but tell them to scout all the provinces as much as possible without any suspicion placed on them.

This will be done in 6 rounds.

---

You breed more Rattata, Zigzagoon, Sentret and Glameow. All usable pops. rise by 30.

---

You decide to research WAR HAMMERS, this will take 3 rounds.

You have no need to build Flails, just tell me what unit to equip it too and it will take a set number of turns.

=--=--=

What is your next action?
>>
Equip flails on the Zigzagoon.
To make special units, they have to be trained, right?
>>
>>208514
Send delegations to the Shpheal, Natu, Sandshrew, and Mankey tribes to find out their opinions of the butterfree. Send diplomats to Butterfree lands to improve their opinion of us.
>>
>>208551
Yep. You can either research a special weapon for a specific Pokemon or just train a specific Pokemon species along with an already researched weapon, i.e Zigzagoon with Flails, to make a special unit.
>>
>>208514
Start spreading religion and the idea of commerce to the other nations
>>
>>208562

You decide to send delegations to the Spheal, Natu, Sandshrew, and Mankey to try and see what their opinion of the Butterfree are. The Spheal is an obvious one but they also note that the Butterfree have recently introduced an embargo on the Spheal, disallowing their merchants into their lands.

The Natu are okay with the Butterfree and trade often with them.

The Sandshrew are also okay with the Butterfree and are actually seeking an alliance with them but haven't gotten far.

The Mankey on the other hand, despise the Butterfree, who have scorned them over border disputes and have recently embargoed them as well.

---

You send an envoy to the Butterfree as well but once at the border, your diplomats were captured and sent back by some of their troops. It's clear the Butterfree do not wish to talk with you.

=--=--=
>>208567

You send religious envoy's to the other nations to spread your religion and increase your spread of your crystal currency- Krystals.

The effects will be known in 3 rounds.

=--=--=
The mine expansions have been finished, you now have 2 more veins of iron available and 3 more copper veins as well. You have also found a strange substance leaking out of one of the mines new tunnels.

Roll 1d10 to see what it may be.
>>
>>208606
Oops, forgot the chart for the roll:

1-4: Mercury
5-9: Oil
10:Other??
>>
Rolled 4 (1d10)

>>208606
Let's see what this substance is

Find out more about the technologies of our fellow tribes, in secret if they're opposed to giving out information. Begin talks with the Spheal and Mankey about taking the Butterfree down a notch. They should know better than to mess with the most powerful tribes on the island.
>>
Rolled 9 (1d10)

>>208612
>>
>>208630
Your tribe has found OIL! Although they have no idea what it is or how to use it, they just know for now is that it's black and very thick.

>>208621
You decide to spy on your fellow tribes to see what tech they may or may not have, this will take 3 rounds to have an effect.

You also begin to have further talks with the Spheal and Mankey and increase your relations with them- the Spheal already like you and respect your tribe and the Mankey have no problems with you and would love to fight alongside in another war.
>>
>>208666
Praise Satan for oil

Begin establishing better trade relations with the Spheal, they have lots of merchants to help you grow and manage your trade network.
>>
>>208666
aww shit. have one of our sadistic scientists boil some, and dump it on animal or something. That's a dope ass fortification weapon.

Speaking of fortifications, did we ever figure anything out with gunpowder/cannons? It would be great to fortify our port city. At least get some traps for the water or something in case we get invade by the navy or something
>>
>>208563
Oh okay. Was on my phone there.
Research special weapon for the Sentret and equid flails on the Zigzagoon.

>>208711
Seconded.
>>
>>208716
You are building some now as a matter of fact, 5 rounds to go. Once they're done, they can be equipped to either a naval unit or be a separate unit land-wise.
---
You have a scientist take a small sample of the oil and boil it before catching a wild Sunkern and splashing some on it. The effects... are better left unseen.

While sadistic, you have access to SCALDING OIL. Use this on invading armies (if it ever happens).

>>208711
You decide to build trade with the Spheal, who have a knack for trading and in fact, already have trade ships working as well. They set up sea trade and land trade with you.

Through trade, you gain access to CORN and SILVER via the Spheal.

>>208720
You decide to train Zigzagoon to use FLAILS- this will take 4 rounds.

You start research on a Sentret special weapon- this will take 3 rounds.

=---=---=

((I've added a relations section to the stat pastebin for the curious - http://pastebin.com/B4bgBxNn))
>>
>>208764
Continue increasing relations with Spheal, Sandshrew and Mankey tribes. Begin a mass Yanma breeding program. Make the Alelfton wall 10 FEET TALLER, and build walls around Fort Kelin, Valorn and Reka West.
>>
>>208799
You continue to increase relations with the Spheal, Sandshrew and Mankey, raising wach by +15.

---
You breed more Yanma vigorously, the pop. grows by 60.

---

You decide to make Azelfton's wall larger to keep ille- I mean invading forces out better. This will take 4 rounds.

You also decide to build walls around Pevnost Kelin, Chrabrost and Reka West. This will take 5 rounds.

---
>>
>>208859
Send a diplomat to the Natu, to discuss an alliance, or at least a cease on attacking the Spheal.
>>
>>208859
Breed more Yanma, and begin beefing up your army
Build some smithys to increase military production
>>
>>208878
Yeah, this. Try to establish a decent relationship with the Natu. Perhaps we could offer them a better trade deal than what they're getting out of the Butterfree?
>>
>>208880
You breed more Yanma, the pop. rises by 30.

You can only build one Blacksmith per town, is that what you want?

---
>>208878
>>208943

You decide to send an envoy to the Natu to get their relations with up and to try and get them to talk about alliances or at least, stop antagonizing the Spheal. You also try to see if you can offer better trade than them.

You find that they see the Spheal as a mere annoyance and that their trade network is inferior to the Natu one. They also state they don't want an alliance with brutes nor do they wish to trade with you- only the Sandshrew and the Butterfree have trade with them.

---

You finish research on WARHAMMERS. They may now be equipped to only those that can carry them. As it is the first HEAVY WEAPON only Pokemon that are larger than 1 M tall and have hands. You're best fit for this weapon is... Ledian...

=---=---=
The sailors from the Duchy of Belvin have now left the port city of Chrabrost and are most likely on the way back to their capital of Belvin.
>>
>>208989
Yes, build a Blacksmith. How are the cannons coming along?
>>
>>208989
Brutes, are we?

Continue to plan with the Spheal and Mankey tribes, coordinate a potential invasion of Butterfree lands. Those bird bastards are next once the big problem is gone.
>>
I have a question to other anons. Should we wager war on the Natu as well as the Butterfree, or just on one and wait for the other to get angry?

>>208989
>Both Abra and Sneasel are 0.9 m
Can a special weapon be made for other Pokemon so that they can use it?

Build a Lighthouse in our naval city so that other boats can see us. Just a big tower will do, but if we could light a fire on it, it would be better.

Start research on Glass/Lenses.

Crossbreed Larvitar with uh... Stunky.
>>
>>208989
The mankey are a warlike people yet we are friendly with them.

Tell them of the glory to be had if we were to conquer the Butterfree tribe together.

The Mankey would get provinces 23 24 25 and 21.

We would get 19 20 and 22
>>
>>209116
>The Mankey would get provinces 23 24 25 and 21.
Dude, we have the power of Yanma, Skorupi, Spheal, Glameow and Gible tribes in our hands.
Do you think the Mankey are going to put in more work than we are?
>>
>>209116
Better: Give the Glameow province 22
Give the Mankey provinces 23 ans 24
and take 19 and 20 for ourselves
Leave provinces 21 and 25 as a rump state for the Butterfree
>>
>>209127
I'd agree with this, but I think we should give the provinces 21 and 25 to the Spheal instead.

>>209125
There won't be a Glameow for long and we destroyed the gible tribe's army so i have no idea why you think we have their strength to add to our own.
>>
>>209127
>>209137
Wait, nvm, ixnay what I just said. That would look horrible on the map.
>>
>>209127
I think we should just give 21 and 25 to the mankeys so they have land access to the Natu for when we eventually double invade them as well.
>>
>>209048
You decide to build a Blacksmith in every town. This will take 5 rounds.

Cannons have 3 rounds to be finished.

=--=--=
>>209072
>>209116

You decide to coordinate with the Spheal and the Mankey, mainly on the Butterfree threat.

The Mankey make note that the provinces 23 and 24 are the ones they want while the Spheal want 20 and 22.

The Spheal also want the Butterfree to remain but become a vassal state, either under the Skorupi-Yanma or the Mankey.

Relations for both rise +50.

Relations with the two nations is now considered FRIENDLY. They are willing to trust you in decisions and are more willing to ally.

=---=---=

The change from TRIBAL DEMOCRACY to a MERITOCRACY is now over.

You must choose a name for the nation and a leader out of a pool of three candidates in the focus branch- Military.

Leaders:

Magnus (Drapion - Skorupi Chieftain):

Effective General - +15 modifier to all troops
Militant- -2 rounds for building military units
Brash - -10 relations

Tytan (Yanmega - Yanma Chieftain):

Ingenious - -2 rounds for all research
Quick - Air Units get a +15 modifier
Eggcelent - Breeding will yield 2 results instead of one

Juilus (Ariados - Former Rebel Leader):

Uniter - +20 relations to other smaller nations
Workers Man - -2 rounds for all buildings
Fleet Worker - -3 rounds for building navy units
>>
>>209149
Tell the Spheal and Mankey it's a deal, and that province 19 will go to the Glameow. You will vassalise the Butterfree.

Breed more Yanma, and begin researching roads. All roads must lead to Azelfton.
>>
>>209149
Tytan seems like the best choice.

I agree with the deal.

Can we make Glass?
>>
>>209095
Yes you may make special weapons by the way of research, just tell me which Pokemon you want to research for.

You start to build a LIGHTHOUSE, this will take 7 rounds.

You start to research GLASS, this will take 4 rounds.

You breed LARVITAR with STUNKY to get

SANDILE.... which you already have so you just get 30 more.

=--=--=

>>209160
I'd like more opinions on the deal on the table before I close it.

You breed more Yanma, raising the pop by 30.

You begin to research ROADS, this will take 5 rounds.
>>
>>209149

Tytan will lead us into the future.

Marry him to the high priestess Yanma as he takes over so as to marry Church and State and declare to the universe our values as a people.

Valornia should be our country's name.

Can we make Magnus our top general?

Also, marry the highest ranking Gible to either Magnus or his eldest daughter.

Marry the Purugly chieftain to either Julius or Julius's eldest daughter.

Assimilate the Glameow.

>>209160

This sounds good.
>>
>>209149
Whoops, forgot to vote

Voting for Magnus, he's the best choice for the impending war. Name ourselves the Root Republic.
>>
>>209137
>There won't be a Glameow for long and we destroyed the gible tribe's army so i have no idea why you think we have their strength to add to our own.
I said that as an example of our military's power, and we've absorbed and are allying with all of those nations I listed. The Mankey might be a war tribe but we outnumber them in provinces, and with that, probably in people and military size as well.
>>
>>209149
Magnus
>>
>>209187

2 votes for Tytan

Need a tiebreaker. Or I roll.

=--=--=
The city in province 41 has been settled- what shall you name it?

The Sentret Special Weapons has been researched, you have invented the SMALL CROSSBOW. You may now train Sentret X-Bows.

You have trained Zigzagoon to use Flails to make the Flailer Units, which you have 3 of now.

---

The caravan has come back from the Zubat and Pichu lands with information:

The Pichu have Cannons and have been in contact with the Vulpix and wish for an alliance. They have four towns but no religion.

The Zubat have ships and apparently been in contact with a nation on Haven Island to the north. They may be trading with them as well.

---

The spying for the tribes around has yielded that the Butterfree and Pichu also have Cannons. The Sandshrew have Gunpowder and are researching cannons. The Zubat have built a fort by their capital city and the Trapinch are actually a vassal state of the Zubat.

---
The spread of SPRITUALISM has been successful. It is now the main religion of the Spheal, the Glameow and the Nuzleaf.

The spread of Krystals has been amazingly effective- every nation but the Butterfree and Natu have adopted it. You now control the majority CURRENCY on the island.

Magnus is now the Councilor Leader of the nation- which is now the Counsel State of Valornia.

---
You decide to spread Spritualism to the Pichu. This will take 4 rounds to see if it has an effect.

Hand Cannons and Large Cannons are next. Cannot have muskets without the hand cannon having been invented.

You search for coal. 1 round.
---
You breed more Yanma- pop. rises by 30

You marry Magnus to High Priestess Heidi, marrying church and state.

You may not become a theocracy as you've only just changed governments- you must wait 49 rounds to be able to change again.
---
You decide to train Mothim to use Scalding Oil as a special weapon. This will take 4 rounds.

You start to research lighter warhammers for the Abra to use. 5 rounds.

You send a merchant boat to the Vulpix with a diplomatic envoy in tow. 2 rounds.

You build a church in the town in province 41. I should make a terrain map because that town is nowhere near a lake. Just a river.

=---=---=
>>209160
You agree to the deal and add that 19 will go to the Glameow and that you would vassalize the Butterfree.

You are now War Allies with the Spheal and the Mankey. All that is left is too start the war.

>>209187
You begin to assimilate the Glameow lands- this will take 15 rounds.

=--=--=

You now have CANNONS. You may train troops to use cannons. They are a separate unit known as ARTILLERY UNITS.

You breed more Abra, Sandile, Gible, Deino, Glameow and Zigzagoon. They all rise by 30.

You train more Poison Skull Units. It will take 4 rounds to be finished.

>I meant that the name is the Japanese name for Valor Lake, which is where Azelf lives. Our cities have been named after Azelf and her lake.

I know that but it makes it weird to have a town called Valor Lake on a river. Maybe Valor River? Also, the city/town names don't have to be religious but whatever floats everyone's gogoat.

---

The walls for Fort Kelin, Valorn and Reka West are now built. They are 9 feet high, level 1 walls surrounding the cities.

---

The research for GLASS is finished. You may use it on buildings to make them more ornate and is mostly for trade.

Time to use the Poison Barbs that were given to us by the Spheal and make a nasty special weapon for the Rattata to use. With Glass, Poison Barbs and Flails, create the superior and improved Toxic Orb version of the Poisoned War Axe. The Toxic War Flail...! Mwahahahaha.
Also create the Toxic Orb first I guess.

While the weapon isn't complete, choose the top percentage Rattata, with Guts, and train them.

Breed more Rattata, Sentret and Zigzagoon.

Last but not least, send Pokemon to look for plant resources of note (i.e. Absorb Bulb, Miracle Seed, literally any Berry). First step biochemistry, second step chemical warfare.

>>
>>209672
>>209718

You must research Heavy Ships to make Warships.

You begin to research hand cannons, this will take 15 rounds.

You already have STEEL. If you want the Industrial Revolution, you must work your way to Steam Power. Which you're not close to at all.

>>209675
>>209756

You use Glass, Poison Barbs to make Toxic Orbs to modify the Flail into a Toxic Flail. This will take 5 rounds to finish.

You breed more Rattata, Sentret, Zigzagoon, Gible, Larvitar, Sandile and Abra. Each rises by 30.

If you want to train Rattata as a special unit, you must either research a weapon or pick one to specialize with them.

>>209756
Units can use moves if one commands them to during battle- no need to train them to.

Explosives are currently being researched already.

You train War Psions. This will take 5 rounds.

You have finished building Blacksmiths in every city. Weapons building is now 2 rounds shorter.

You have researched ROADS. You may build roads to increase trade and use them for your military.

>>209911
Sorry, I'm not the most focused right now.

You research a better Skorupi only weapon - it will take 4 rounds.
>>
>>209880
I suggest we begin upgrading our defenses. We've spent so much time on the offensive we think no one could fuck with us, but on the other side of the pond is a much bigger influence with no doubt crazy shitfucking sneazels

Upgrade the walls of all our towns, and see if we can't get an agreement with the Nuzleafs like we have in the past, hell even a marriage to unite the two.

Nuzleaf marriage+ Glameow Assimilation= best course of expansion.

Butterfree war soon I hope
>>
>>209880
Crossbreed Ledian with Sneasel, and Ariados with Deino.

I've suggested a bunch of special weapons at this point, but here's probably the final one. Since Ledian is our heaviest Pokemon that can walk (Yanma only flies as far as I know), make extra protective armor for them. And heavier, sturdier shields than any other Pokemon's. Put spikes on the shields so they don't need other weapons. I imagine Shell Bell could be used to add vitality and health to them. Make them impenetrable.

With Glass, make Lens. If that's already possible, work on rudimentary Focus Lens or whatever the item's called.

I have some road ideas.
Build roads connecting the northern cities to each other in a solid shape. A road should also go from province 7 to the Spheal border, and if they allow it, to the nearest Spheal town.

Build a road that goes from the southern city to the Mankey border, as well as a road connecting both southern Glameow cities to our city.

A single road should connect Glameow's northern city to the one on province 2, as wel as to the Yanma-Skorupi on province 6.

You decide to build roads:

Build roads connecting the northern cities to each other in a solid shape. = 2 rounds
Build roads from every city or fort in our and our vassals' lands to our capital. = 6 rounds
Build a road that goes from the southern city to the Mankey border, as well as a road connecting both southern Glameow cities to our city = 4 rounds
A road should also go from province 7 to the Spheal border, and if they allow it, to the nearest Spheal town = 4 rounds
A single road should connect Glameow's northern city to the one on province 2, as well as to the Yanma-Skorupi on province 6 = 4 rounds

>I meant like train them to be Choice Banded (without holding the Choice Band, it's an analogy). More power, but just one move. No weapons either. I guess that's not allowed...

That's what you meant? If that's what you wanted then it's fine- I'm just think for not seeing it then. Be warned that troops like these will probably be obsolete once the Industrial Era is abound.

Nothing is too much for a suggestion, it just takes longer for me to respond is all

Well shit the fuck are we waiting for?! Steel armor, weapons, and others research will take how long? Rhetorical question just do it, then propose to the Mankey with go to war soon as the Steel is done with.

Start researching more weapons (steel swords, spears, and arrow heads), make our cannons bigger, breed more populace all around, train more military units (anti air and infantry), and equip those units with improved armor and weapons.

In a show of good faith, give the mankey steel too, if they don't already have it. They'll know what to do with it.

[green]EVENT: THE BELVIN FLAG [/green]

It seems that the crew from the Belvinian ship had made it back already and another one sent out- this one clearly larger and more impressive and hoisted above the sails was a large flag- something you never thought of making.

Once the boat docked in Chrabrost's port- not like you could've stopped it, you have no proper navy, fresh off the boat was a Sneasel diplomat along with a small entourage of soldiers. They walked around looking at the small port city, clearly impressed, as if they had a different mental image of your land.

How will you greet our visitor? They're not hostile yet but the wrong image will ruin everything.
>>
>>211566
>How will you greet our visitor?

Send our most charismatic Sneasal to greet them flanked by skorupi poison battle axe warriors, saying the Sneasal represents the combined power and authority of Magnus the Magnificent and High Priestess Heide.

Ask the Belvin their business in our beloved port town.

Ask them how long they plan to stay.

Offer them lodgings.

Build a hotel for visitors or an embassy for the next times this bullshite happens.
>>

You send the most charismatic Sneasel you know, a female named Adela from the Trade Ministry. She meets the diplomat with her own entourage of the most decorated Poison Skulls soldiers, mostly to intimidate but also to keep the peace should the need come.

Once the two meet, the diplomat is amazed.

"A Sneasel in these lands!? That's quite a shock."

"I grew up here. Worked as a trader since I was of age."

"A trader as a diplomat? Odd choice."

"Eh, I don't question the council's decisions'.... What's your name? What're you here for? How long do you plan to be here?"

"Simple. My name is Conrad. The Duke wants to establish contact with other nations to further his power on Haven. He assumed everyone on this small island were just primitives but your nation has intrigued him. For your second question, as long as I need to. The Duke has made it my mission to be ambassodor to your nation... it's name though? I recall it was renamed recently from what I heard from the tradehouses."

"Valornia? It's a religious name. The Skorupi are very religious." She said, pointing at the nearby cathedral under construction.

"That's quite fascinating. I hope to enjoy this as much as those explorers we hired did."

"Well, if you want to stay here for now, you can stay in one the inns- they're many in the city. The best on is that way, it's got a great view." Adela pointed towards a certain path, which was housing a crowded market.

"I've noticed, Belvin is just as big and this city isn't even a capital is it? Just a trade port?" Conrad asked, gesturing to the bustling port city.

"Yes. Our capital is inland, but it's actually bigger than this. Mostly because of the military."

"Impressive. Your nation is just what the duke needs at his side." Adela looked at him, confused by his words.

"What? What do you need us for?" He started walking away towards where Adela pointed him the best inn was.

"You'll see soon. You might want to get busy on that embassy..." He stopped walking away and turned to face Adela one last time, "And you should consider sending an ambassador of your own to Belvin. It would be a nice gesture. Schönen Tag." He finished before turning back around and disappearing into the crowd with his entorauge.

=---=---=

You start building an embassy. It will take 5 rounds.

=---=---=
About Valornia's flag. You all may make your own designs and vote for it. If no one wants too or it's stalemated, I'll make one as well. It's a fair deal. You can make a Coat of Arms as well if you want.

I'm thinking about the best way to remove butterfree. Could the Mankey and Spheal forces move for the capital, considering they can send soldiers without having to trek over the mountains? We send flyers to aid that charge while our ground troops march or something

>>
>>214292
>>214254

Since most of your troops are on the border you and everyone in Valornia had been preparing for this, you decide to start marching into the Butterfree lands.

Your current troops:

9 Poisoned Skull Units (Skorupi Special Unit) - Poisoned Battleaxe/Steel Shield/Iron Armor - +90D/ +45A – x6
3 Flailer Units (Zigzagoon Special) - Flail/Iron Armor/Steel Shield - +70D/ +30A - x3
3 Axeitar Unit - Poleaxe/Steel Armour/Steel Shield - +75D/ +30A
7 General Infantry Units - Iron Armour/Longswords/Steel Shield - +70D/ +40A - x7
5 General Air Units - Leather Armour/Longswords/Steel Shield - +40D/ +45A – x5
3 War Psions - Iron Armour/Twin Daggers + Shell Bell/Steel Shield - +40D/+34D, unit takes half damage from all attacks
4 Dustox Artillery - Leather Armor/Small Cannons/Steel Shield - +10D/+50A, 90 damage to fortifications, 100 damage to light ships and 60 damage to heavy ships

What would like to do first?
>>
>>214324
Establish a foothold in the mountains, something with heavy ass winds that fuck with the Butterfree air units, but not with our clearly superior Yanma Air. How many cannons are in one artillery unit? 1? 2?
>>
>>214331
Artillery units have 10 cannons each. You have 40 cannons in total.

REMOVE BUTTERFREE
>>
>>214324
Start weakening the rock in the mountains, lure them with a general infantry unit in a valley, then have the infantry run as fast as possible out of the valley with the butterfree chasing them, push the weakened mountain rock onto the butterfree, and gloat at an easy victory.
>>
>>214360

You decide to lure in the closest enemy Butterfree army, which was made of 4 General Infantry and 5 Ladybird Hammers (Ledian Special Unit, and crush them with rocks in one the countless valleys in the western Butterfree lands. They get there and your luring unit, a General Air Unit for speed, hightails it before the rocks come down.

Roll 2d100: 1st roll to see if the General AIr Unit makes it and second is for the effect of the trap.

1st Roll:
1-20: They're dead Jim
21-40: Mostly severe injuries and a few fatalities
41-60: Mostly average injuries with a few serious ones
61-80: Only slight scrapes and such
81-100: No harm at all

2nd Roll:
1-20: They pulled back but two General units were killed.
21-40: All the General units were killed
41-60: The General and 2 Ladybird units
61-80: All but one Ladybird unit

The General Air Unit got away with some slight scratches and such from some stray rocks.

On the flipside, the falling rocks crushed pretty much all of the Butterfree units were killed, leaving only one of the Ledian unit alive, with no hope of escape and staring down 40 cannons plus around an army around 4000 strong.

So they did the stereotypical thing of Ledian, Ledya and the French and surrendered. The leader of the unit was quite vocal about this.

"Attendez s'il vous plaît! Don't kill us please! We'll do anything, just spare us!"

What will you do with them?
>>
>>214659
Accept their surrender, we could always use some slav- I mean labourers in our mines- POW camps.

>>
>>214666
>>214663

"We could use some "laborers" for our mines." One of the officers mentions. He gestures to the Valorian army , "Unless you like being skewered."

"So we go from warrior slaves to labor slaves... Oh Giratina, donnez-nous une pause s'il vous plaît. If we accept, may we be emancipated in the future?"
>>
>>214704
"Of course, once the war is over. We only need you for the war effort, after that you may go free."
>>
>>214704
Sure, why not? We don't want to come off as tyrants. Bending the knee to the glory of Valoria should be the right thing to do. Let's show that by actually being kind to these guys.
>>
>>214729
>>214722

"We may be ruthless in war but we are not ruthless to those we meet. You'll all be free once the war is over. We only need you for the war effort, after that you may go free."

"Oh merci! You are far kinder than the Butterfree! We'll even tell you what we know!"

=---==---=

The Ladybird unit has been captured and sent as slaves to one of the mines in your land. They will be freed once the war is over and will be added to the Ledian pop.

They tell you of the Butterfree's weakest link, their own strength. Most of their military was mostly created through force, besides the elite Butterfree Fireshots- they use Longbows and flaming arrows as weapons. The rest of the army can be shattered through some subterfuge and promise of liberation.
>>
>>214704
Yes, they may. Earn your freedom through sweat

---
You have enslaved a Ladybird Hammer unit for the duration of the war and they have told you juicy information. >>214786

----
Due to your amazing tactics you now occupy province 19. The Mankey have driven hard into the Butterfree land and now occupy provinces 23 and 24 but the Spheal have had a bit of bad luck as the Natu have joined in the war and are now attacking the Spheal- they're closing in on their capital.

Will you split your troops and help?
>>
>>214915
The Mankey got this. We're going to be sending troops still, but yeah. Let's split them. Some are heading for province 26 and help with the siege of the Butterfree capital. The rest are heading for province 20 to take the Natu capital.

That's my thought anyway.
>>
>>214915
>>214878
>>214859
Thank you for catching me up.
>>
>>214915
Fuck splitting the troops. Rush to the Butterfree capital, join up with the Mankey and go crush the treacherous Natu scum beneath our figurative boots.

Für Valornia!
>>
>>214928
Good idea, split the army even, especially artillery (help the Manley siege the Butter Fuck capital. Send half the army to the shpeal, the other half to the Mankey.

Zubat will wait, we go for those BITCH ASS Natu first. OUR RELIGION IS BETTER THAN YOURS YOU FUCKS.
>>
We should probably try to help the Spheal in some way, maybe even absorb them within us. They could provide a great navy given the fact that they are water and ice types, plus, with the Natu attacking them, they shouldn't really be too badly against us absorbing them.
>>
>>214999
Let the Butterfree conquer them and then reconquer their territory.
>>
>>214948
True, but the Natu might do terrible things to the Spheal, we have to save them, but that gives me a potential idea...
The Natu don't bring water with them on military excursions do they?
We could travel into province and close off the stream, the Spheal already live in a coastal town, so they could probably live without stream water for a bit, but the Natu will be absolutely fucked.
>>
>>215007
We can reconquer the Spheal territory.
>>
>>215007
War of attrition, meanwhile we conquer Butterfree shit with the Mankey, then head on over to attack from the rear when we capture the Butterfree capital
>>
Remember guys, sure, this is war, but we can also use this as a PR act. If we play the roles of heroes, helping the Spheal, freeing soldiers and generally breaking down what we can probably play off as the tyrannical rule of the Butterfree, that's going to open up so many venues for trade and diplomacy in the future.

I'd rather be seen as warrior-hero-liberators than barbarians just conquering willy nilly.
>>
>>215007
We will force the Natu to give the Spheal land and reparations for what they have done to the Spheal. However, we cannot afford to split our army. Strength in numbers and all that.
>>
>>215026
We can also twist ourselves to be the hero, plus we get more land and technology.
>>
>>214915
The weak will die, and the strong will survive, leave the spheal to their fate.
>>
>>215026
>>215032
This would be a nice thing to do.

>>215007
This is also something I am behind.
>>
>>215047
And then there's this asshole
>>
>>215051
The best thing to do is
A. Let the Spheal get conquered while we conquer the Butterfree
B. Conquer the Natu and take their technology, land and slaves
Now we appear as heroes, but with more military force and superior technology and greater lands.
>>

Since both of these would most likely end with the Butterfree dying... let me get creative.

Once the Fireshots finished their volley, they fell back behind their slave troops to protect them from the obvious charge that may happen as retribution but as they tried to retreat, their own units blocked their escape. The Ladybird Hammer units were especially angry, finally fed up with their overlords.

They chose to slaughter them.

Your army could only but watch as the Fireshots were killed without mercy and with absolute cruelty, getting there bodies crushed by the massive warhammers the Ledian carried, getting cut apart by the swords the general units carried, and getting sliced up by the rapiers the general air units held. By the time they were all finished, the bodies of the Butterfree were virtually unrecognizable.

The soldiers dropped their weapons and surrendered, giving way to the path to the capital city.

Considering most speak Galciosian, the name of the Butterfree language, it was hard to decipher what they were saying but when they poke common once and while he got a good enough description. But once he prays to Azelf and gets an answer from her does it all really make sense.

Giratina is the very fabric of Anti-Matter and is fairly strong being whose ideals stand for the strong to rule the weak and that anarchy is a natural way of life. Of course the Butterfree don't celebrate anarchy but they do celebrate slavery or strong rule the weak. Giratina grants strength to those who worship him and revel in his ways of destruction and strong rule. Azelf notes that he is older than her but is rather ruthless comparatively and doesn't reward just anyone for being destructive. She also notes that he has quite an ego so destroying anything that was made to idolize him will piss him off good.

You have learned of GIRATINAISM!

Your army rushes to the capital, marching through the night to get there to see that the Mankey are already sieging it but making no progress. The Butterfree have a large wall, 12 feet high, around the city.

It is time to SIEGE. In this, you must roll however many artillery units you have out of how much damage each unit does. For this, it's 4d90. The Mankey may have Steel now but have no Gunpowder, thus have no cannons.

The wall has 650 HP. Every round, your troops and the Mankey troops will be fired upon and must defense rolls until the wall is destroyed.

Your rolls are first. Remember 4d90 is what you roll.

As the arrows were about to impact, one officer decide to pray to Azelf, hoping for a miracle.

"Azelf, Being of Willpower, give us the strength to survive this onslaught and stave off the powers of Destruction!"

His prayers were answered dutifully.

Around all of the Poison Skull troops, a barrier formed above them, increasing their defense by +1000.

The arrows harmlessly exploded on the barrier as the troops underneath stood in awe of their gods power. In the distance, the Fireshots were is awe as well, never thinking that another god could stop their's and his power. They are so awestruck that they finally realize that they have truly lost if their own god could not help them in battle.

They surrender to your mercy. Will you execute these final troops?

=---=---=

I should explain this a bit better since I never really did. Sorry for the sudden throw in.

In times of desperate need in battle, a unit or units may call to their gods and recieve HOLY POWER, which is an exponentially increasing bonus depending on the number of units calling. It may be only used in dire straits and if tried will-nilly, will be ignored. It can also be used in response to another use of HOLY POWER. Of course, the effects depends on the gods, typing and other such.

The Butterfree were outnumbered 4 to 27 units. That's some dire straits.

You decide to call upon the populace of the city to see if these final soldiers live or die. Since most of the city were just subjugated Bug-types and such under the Butterfree, the answer was resounding.

They should be killed- cruelly as possible. Of course, you let the populace do that work- it isn't really the job of the Valorian army to carry out executions.

---

You now occupy the capital of the Butterfree lands. All that's left is to deal with the Natu.

It seems as though the Spheal have made increasing headway but are not at the capital yet. The Mankey seem content and there are no further Butterfree troops to found as far as you know. And the Butterfree Chieftain has rumored to have pulled suicide as the walls broke and is being checked on now.

Demand their unconditional surrender, and threaten annihilition if they don´t. Tell them we'll be lenient, and that they'll keep *most* of their territory.
>>
>>218359
Just run them down with all of our current units, no mercy, clean it up and help siege the capital with the Spheal then leave.

We got ships to build and diplomats to send
>>
>>218359
Let's send the Poison Skulls and the Flailer on the Bludgeoners. I don't like the idea of them buffing their comrades.

Then we send our infantry and artillery on their infantry, and meet their air units with our own. Hopefully, the Spheal backing will tip the scales.

Let me throw in a 2 as well. I may be QM but I can still vote. If you want to argue, I could've just said, flag 2 is now the flag of Valornia but I didn't did I?

I'll leave up this vote till 7 PM EST.

>I may be QM but I can still vote.

Well, uh, usually that isn't how it works, but you should just call the vote now. Once people think others are samefagging, they start samefagging. This quest will get a lot shittier the longer this lasts
>>
Here's another vote for two... if samefags end up counting, which they shouldn't. >>218699

I know that but in democracy, politicians can vote for themselves, weirdly enough. May not be the same thing but still, at least I try to be fair about it. I add in when I feel like it. Mostly cosmetic stuff, not the important decisions.

The flag isn't permanent anyways, it will change if the government changes and a new one is voted in. Or it could stay. Depends on what people want.

----

Poll is closed. Looks like flag 2 wins! Say hello to the Counsel State of Valornia's new flag!

Been here since part 2 of this quest, granted it isn't much, but I noticed samefags pop up rarely. You're right in the sense that this voting became shit, but they'll go away and so will I

You have lost 2 Artillery units.

On the other hand, the General Air Units had no luck in hurting the 1 Flailer unit.

The Spheal units choose to attack now, killing off the General Air unit and killing 2 General Infantry.

The Natu now only have:

2 General Infantry
1.5 Natu Bludgeoners

The rest of your army finally marched into town, off from occupying the other Butterfree provinces. They easily overcome the Natu's small army and are victorious.

You have won the war! Now all is left is to decide what to do with your provinces in the Butterfree land that you occupy and were not promised and what to do with the Natu provinces.

Give it all to the Spheal.

Form a political marriage to the Spheal as well right afterwards.

Start the inquisition. Giratina worship is amoral and illegal starting today!

Associate Giratina with the slaver butterfrees

Give the Spheal the westernmost two provinces of the Natu, then vassalise both the Butterfree and Natu. Officially free all slaves in their lands.

I redid the roads so they're clearer. They look like a mess but it works. I'll change it in the future once they get upgraded.

I think that should be it for this thread. Past permasage, conquered two nations, got a spiffy new flag, got a new government, named the country and now are in contact with a power in Haven Island.

Next thread will be tomorrow, Saturday, at 3 P.M EST.

Sorry if I'm being repetitive but it was only researched and not actually given to the mons I suggested.

>I redid the roads so they're clearer. They look like a mess but it works. I'll change it in the future once they get upgraded.
You forgot the road going to the Mankey border though. Connecting the southernmost Skorupi city to the nearest Mankey city should be easy.
Also, time to build a highway or something linking the Spheal to our road complex. One for the coastal cities and one for the lake city then the remaining two right cities, all of them go to the remaining left city directly to our city farthest to the right.
