You are Kraton Reed, Jedi Lord of Telos IV

At a time when the Republic was merely a shadow of its former self and the Sith terrorized much of the Galaxy, you chose to strike back. Breaking from protocol, you gathered together a small group of likeminded Jedi Knights and raised your own army. You launched a crusade against the Sith Empire and managed to liberate the Outer Rim world of Telos IV. The people of this world now look upon you as their Lord and their protector in these dark times...

Currently, your domain is facing a daunting crisis. You had previously sent two of your Jedi Knights, the wily Correllian Jaina Charr and the fierce Trandoshan Trask, to spy on the nearby Sith-controlled world of Mirial. In the wake of their wildly successful mission, it was revealed that the Sith Lord who rules Mirial means to attack you. The tyrannical Verus commands an army twice the size of your own, and it appears that he may launch an invasion of Telos IV very soon. With grim resolve, your forces steel themselves for an upcoming battle that will decide the fate of millions of lives.

In the meantime, Lord Reed has dispatched Jaina Trask to the Core Worlds to appeal to the Jedi High Council for military aid. Work has also just begun on a planetary Ion Cannon that will hopefully give your forces an edge in defending the world.

Right when we left off, Lord Reed personally felt a disturbance in the Force concerning his fellow Knight, Lo Rai. Lo Rai had been dispatched some time ago to search for the fabled ruins of a Jedi Temple on Telos IV. Now Reed feels that something terrible might have happened to him while he was searching for said temple on Telos IV's northern pole...

Here is an overview of Kraton Reed's military forces and his current domain
Lord Reed's Forces
Army
-6 Jedi Knights (2 of which are currently absent), 1 Jedi Padawan, and thirty Force Initiates who have only just begun their training
-A moderate sized army made up of several hundred thousand soldiers consisting mainly of ex Republic war veterans and trained volunteers equipped with Republic and salvaged Sith military hardware
-The Telos Security Force, or TSF, consisting of tens of thousands of paramilitary police

Fleet
-An advanced Corvette of dubious Sith origin. Very fast and well suited to fighting starfighters and other smaller sized vessels. (Currently absent)
-A small fleet of several dozen Hammerhead cruisers and many hundreds of Aurek Starfighters
-Over fifty TSF Aurek starfighters, most of which have been upgraded to emulate their military counterparts

Telos IV Defenses
-A series of Forts located throughout strategic points on the planet's surface
-A planetary surface-to-orbit Ion Cannon located within a Fort (Under Construction)

Telos IV
Region: Outer Rim
Sector: Kwymar Sector
Climate: Temperate
Population: Several Hundred Million
Capital: Citadel Station, a massive sprawling city that hovers above the planet
Notable Quirks: A very beautiful and rural world for the most part, with many untapped natural resources.
Current Status: Largely recovered from the most recent battle, but now steeling itself for an upcoming Sith invasion.

The accompanying PDF shows a vague outline of what the Galaxy looks like, with Telos IV being located near the upper right along the Hydian Way

Knowing that the Sith might stage an attack on Telos IV fairly soon, and also knowing that his Knight Lo Rai is currently in some sort of danger...

>What does Lord Reed do at this time?
>>
>>192091
Go after Lo Rai personally, bring a Jedi and several squads of Infantry in a assault shuttle (we do have some right).
Double down on the ion cannon have every available resource working to get it operational
Have a team scour the records to find if any notable large battles with EMP weapons took place close by.
>>
>>192091
Not sure if we have any but can we send out a probe to act as a early warning device of a sith invasion
>>
>>192091
Are the Force Initiates assigned to Jedi Knights amongst our retinue as instructors?
>>
>>192171
I believe we have two Jedi set aside as instructors.
>>
Is it possible that we consider cutting off the head of the snake before it strikes?

What do our military advisors think of the idea of launching a stealth mission of a few Jedi and our most elite troops with the aim of assassinating Lord Verus before they mobilize?
>>
>>192190
I doubt anyone but us could match the sith lord in single combat, if we had to go on the mission that would make it INCREDIBLY risky, perhaps too much so to even consider. Were we to fail the Telos IV would fall without question.
>>
>>192190
That may work but we would just piss off his master and then we would die much faster.
if memory serves we are only facing a sith Apprentice. But he has a fleet that outnumbers us two to one
>>
>>192207
Would a Sith be particularly offended about his apprentice dying in single combat? That seems like something a Sith can respect.

However he may simply send a new apprentice if he has one.

I wonder how indoctrinated by Sith dogma the residents of Mirial are.
>>
>>192230
Yes she would respect us, and then come to murder us for taking two of her planets.
( if I remember from the beginning of the first thread the Sith Lord overseeing this region is a woman?)
>>
>>192190
Jedi Knights Jaina and Trask were able to infiltrate Lord Verus' castle fairly handily, though after remembering the details on how they escaped it is reasonable to expect that Verus' forces must be on high alert at this time.

A stealth mission is certainly possible, but pulling it off with more than just a handful of operatives would be incredibly risky.

>>192169
You order your fleet to send out several probes throughout Kwymar Sector, as well as a few in the direction of the Mirial Sector, in the hopes of having an early warning sign in case Verus mobilizes

>>192230
You could make some assumptions based off of
>>188137

>>192184
>>192171
>>192139
After ordering your engineers to intensify work on the Ion Cannon, having men begin research on past battles in the secotr, and after seeing to it that your two Jedi Knights who I have yet to give names or flesh out in any way watch over and continue to train the initiates, you decide to personally search after Lo Rai.

You gather together several squads of infantry and prepare them for a possible rescue mission.

Of the two Jedi in your retinue remaining, you are free to bring along either the Trandoshan warrior Trask or the stoic Togruta Kota Vam and possibly his Padawan Arnet Yar as well.

>Which of his remaining Jedi followers does Reed take with him, if any?
>>
>>192241
>TFW its Darth Zannah

Perhaps we simply try to booby trap the space around our world as thoroughly as we possibly can with mines and debris fields, to give us a notable home advantage in any low orbit space battle?

Do we have a fleet?
>>
>>192241
That is correct.

While direct governance of Mirial is handled by Lord Verus, he is believed to be subservient to a more powerful Sith Lord named Lord Ramana.

Here's a snippet from the last thread
>Lord Ramana herself is said to have only risen to her station roughly a few years ago after slaying her own master. She is rumored to be one of the Sith Empire’s greatest duelists, being especially proficient in the ‘Sith’ Lightsaber style of Form VII Juyo. Aside from that, she is said to be a Togruta just like your fellow Knight Kota Vam.
>>
>>192323
The fleet specs is at the top of the thread.
>>
>>192304
I get the feeling that with an approach like that to world governance there almost has to be some native resistance movement.

Are our Jedi operatives still planetside, could we instruct them to attempt to seek out any such faction?
>>
>>192304
Oh and bring vam and the Padawan
>>
>>192338
I'm afraid they are no longer on Mirial. Jaina Trask is currently on a diplomatic mission to the Jedi High Council while Trask is back on Telos IV with you.

Please see
>>188214
>>
I think we should attempt to calculate likely Hyperspace entry points for a planetary assault fleet and attempt to mine them as heavily as possible.

If I recall from EU novels there are only so many viable hyperspace exit points around a gravitationally significant body such as a planet.

At best it could deal massive damage to an encroaching fleet, at worst it could force them to exit further out and buy us more time?
>>
>>192366
I will read the old thread to catch up, ty for explaining
>>
>>192366
How long said diplomatic mission take?
We really need that Corvette back, it's really our only Starfighter defense.
>>
Hmm, just thought... I recall seing some sort of entertainment radios in the movies, what if we were to launch a probe to mr attack us soon's planet and do some psy-ops with a pirate pro-Jedi talk radio station from orbit at a LaGrange point?

Kota Vam and his Padawan Arnet Yar join you on your mission to find Lo Rai

Your shuttles take off for Telos IV’s northern pole. Tracking Lo Rai’s last known signal, you and your band travel deep within the frigid north to a strange mesa surrounded by a peculiar rock formation. It is difficult to make out within the snowstorm, but upon closer inspection, the massive rock formation turns out to actually be a structure of some kind.

You realize that this must actually be the ancient Jedi Temple that Lo Rai had been searching for! Amazingly, it appears to be structurally sound even after all these centuries. You and your forces touch down upon the Jedi Temple’s huge roof.

It is not long after that when you spot him…

(1/2)
>>
>>192428
Well, if we lose the planet or ends and still mate and then we send probe back to his base. I could see it being helpful to spark a rebellion on the other planets which, if we time it right with support from The High Council we could capture this sector in one Fell Swoop.

Kneeling in the distance atop the snowy structure is the visage of a man with long white hair who you could not possibly mistake for anyone else.

You call out to Lo Rai, who stands up and turns around to face you. His hair is disheveled, the upper half of his robes have been torn off revealing his bare chest, and he wears a smile that sends a chill up your spine.
>“I have been waiting for you Lord Reed."

Kota Vam removes his lightsaber from his robes and shouts to you over the snowstorm—

>“I sense the Dark Side in him!”

Lo Rai raises up his hands and shouts back
>"Wait! I mean no harm! Lord Reed, you must listen to me! I have discovered something incredible!"

Lo Rai steps aside and beckons to a strange Crystalline object sitting behind him in the snow that simply radiates the power of the Dark Side.

"While I was searching within the temple, I discovered this! A Sith Holocron, containing vast knowledge that I have been able to tap into! My Lord, this is the key to our VICTORY!"

>How does Lord Reed react to this?

Lord Reed shouts back over the snowstorm, asking Lo Rai what knowledge he gleaned from within the Holocron

"The Holocron's original owner was one of the very first Sith Lords. It is thousands of years old, and other Sith have only added to it's repertoire over time."

His eyes narrow as he cruelly looks down upon the device

"I have learned that much of the conflict between the Jedi and Sith originally stems from how obsessively controlling our doctrine is. I've begun to realize that by tapping into our emotions, we could become far more powerful than we could have ever imagined!"

Kota Vam sternly looks back at Lo Rai as he grips his lightsaber tightly

>"What else, is that I have discovered the existence of several techniques. Powerful rituals rooted in the Dark Side. The power to destroy our enemies in massive numbers. I believe that if we were to tap into these powers, we could use the Dark Side against the Sith!"

>How does Lord Reed react to this?

I say proceed very. very. very. cautiously but hear him out for now.
If only to not anger him, we don't know if he has grown in power.

Lord Reed gives Kota Vam a nod before slowly approaching Lo Rai and beckoning him to go on.

"There is a very old and very powerful technique. Many Sith have the ability to conjure lightning by using the Dark Side of the Force, but this is far greater! Multiple individuals who tap into the Dark Side can work together to create a great miasma of Lightning that can tear a hole through reality itself! It is called, a FORCE STORM!"

Lo Rai's hands begin to crackle electricity as he stares you down
>"With such power, we could devastate space fleets, destroy entire armies! This could be the key to finally defeating the Sith. My Lord, we must delve further into the secrets of this Holocron. If we are to save the galaxy, we must tap into the Dark Side of the Force!"

>Lo Rai waits for a response as the two of you stare each other down amidst the growing snow storm
>>
>>192628
Well as long as it's blue not to red like Palpatine's clone's Force storms are.
Then technically it would be a new Jedi technique right? I'm sure there are occurrences of Jedi using Force lightning or other usually sith only techniques.
And as long as the only emotions we use are the ones of righteousness and the will to save these people.
>>
>>192628
And no delving into more of the holocron only get what you need about force storms
And pay attention to see if his attitude has changed where is any of his mannerisms have noticeably changed.
>>
>>192591
Yeah it does seem a bit slower than before. I'm going to wait a short while to see if more people step in, especially as this could be a pretty major decision
>>
>>192707
That's probably a good idea as if this Quest is steered by me we'll probably all end up black mark by the High Council and end up being mercenaries or something.
Just a fair warning that's how quests with me in them usually end up.
>>
>>192707
Really hope more people show up. I haven't seen a Star Wars themed Quest in a long time and this one has been really fun.
>>
>>192707
Maybe shamelessly advertise on the general? That could bring people in.
>>

You mean on /tg/?

I suppose there wouldn't be any harm in that. I'm glad you've been enjoying the game so much thus far but it would be nice to have at least a few more active players.

No /qst has a generall, it's buried pretty far deep but a lot of QMs have been posting when they start or return to a thread.

/tg/ might work too or they might get pissed because we have a specific board for quests now.

Well anyway really hope more people show up, when I see the usual content on this board I really don't want this quest/civ or whatever you originally intended for it to be to die, I'm a little afraid they will just end the trial and kill This board, given how slow it is.
>>
>>193120
Yeah I'm honestly a little sad to see how slow it's gotten. I remember it being a fair bit more active when I first started visiting /qst/ a short while back.

I'd still hate to see the board go though. I really like the concept of this place, and the extra features seem like a great boon for running these kind of games.

Forgot trip? Or not bothering with it now that we have these new fancy thread IDs
>>
>>193182
I really don't want to see it to go either, but I think to get to stay we're going to have to pull together as a board (fucking kek, like that will happen) and filter out all the crap on it. And pick and choose which quest's should go on as there just isn't enough people on the board.

After listening to him speak a while on these ‘Force Storms’ you admit that the ability seems rather promising.

You are aware of instances where Jedi have used Force Powers traditionally associated with the Sith without falling to the Dark Side, so perhaps there is a way you might be able to safely harness Force Storms as well?

However, you are a bit disturbed by the change in Lo Rai’s attitude from the polite young Jedi Archivist he once was to the bombastic man he is now . He seems mentally unhinged, and you can clearly sense the Dark Side in him.

You shout back to Lo Rai that you are interested in learning more about Force Storms, but that you are also worried about Lo Rai himself. You demand an explanation for why he is acting this way.

He is silent for a few moments before replying back
>“After meditating on it for the past several days, I’ve come to question many of the ideals I once swore to uphold. Devoting ourselves to the Light Side of the Force has failed us, so why not embrace the Dark Side instead? With such power, we can claim vengeance on the Sith, succeed where all other Jedi have failed, and save the Galaxy! After we learn to harness the POWER of the Dark Side, no one will be able to stand against us!"

>”That’s enough Lo Rai!”

Kota Vam steps forward by your side, flanked by his very nervous looking Padawan Arnet Yar.

>”It’s clear that you are not thinking straight. You should surrender the Holocron and let us help you!”

Lo Rai sneers at Kota Vam as he reaches for his own lightsaber

>”I do not take orders from YOU Vam!”

The two squads of soldiers that you have brought along do not seem to understand exactly what is going, and are anxiously looking to you for some kind of order.

Once you go black, you generally don't come back because you are fucking retarded. Also because you turn all edgy and shit.

What I'm trying to say here is that the dark side is a bad idea that always ends badly.

I propose a compromise. Lo Rai is free to study the dark arts, and assistance will be given to him for his work. However, he will take leave of Telos IV once the invasion is over, to return when he knows himself. Knowledge and use of the dark side will be decided then.

There was also that one guy who was a Sith all his life and also a pretty cool guy, but one guy (or ten, even) does not a pattern make.

Lord Reed sternly stares down Lo Rai as he tighten his grip over his own lightsaber

“Lo Rai. I will allow you and you alone to study this Holocron, but only with the express purpose of aiding us in combating the Sith Lords. Furthermore, after we have finished defending Telos IV from the upcoming Sith attack, you are to leave the planet and not return until after you have regained your senses and learned all you can about Force Storms.”

>”Upcoming Sith Attack…?”

Lo Rai’s eyes widen as he lowers his unlit lightsaber

Kota Vam speaks up after you
>”The Sith Lord of neighboring Mirial is about to launch an invasion of Telos IV. He commands an army twice the size of our own.”

Lo Rai seems to be completely taken aback by this sudden news. He falls silent for almost a full minute as you await an answer.

>”I was truly hoping for a better answer. I thought that you of all people would be able to understand…. very well. I shall prove my loyalty in the next battle, then I will take my leave.”

>To your relief, Lo Rai calms down and yields to you

>Lo Rai has temporarily rejoined your forces!

You reunite with your forces as they continue to erect defenses and prepare the populace for the fierce battle that lies ahead. Kota Vam appears to watch over Lo Rai closely, who in turn seems to be keeping a watchful eye over the Telosian Sith Holocron. Despite the clear tension arising from Lo Rai’s return, your forces appear to still be united as one against the Sith.

Word from Jaina Charr has yet to arrive, and it is uncertain if she has been successful in her diplomatic mission or not. With that powerful Corvette, it is likely that she should have reached the Coruscant by now, though it is impossible to know for certain what has happened to her.

However, word has arrived concerning the probes you recently sent out. A few probes that you had launched toward the Mirial system were able to capture fleeting images of Lord Verus’ fleet before they were destroyed. The images largely confirm what you had learned from your recent spy mission. The fleet looks to be quite large, and worse yet there appears to be wedge shaped Destroyer of some kind leading it. Your military advisers believe that this large warship is more likely than not Lord Verus’ flagship.

Your military advisers bring up several holomaps of the planet and of your forces.

While it is clear that you are outnumbered, you still hold the defensive advantage in this battle. In order for Lord Verus to take the planet, he is going to have to get through the series of forts you have rebuilt. Of these forts, the one that will almost certainly be the biggest target will be the one that houses your Ion Cannon. Your advisers expect that the majority of Verus’ forces will concentrate on that.

Even so, Citadel Station is also a huge target. With so much of the planet’s population and infrastructure concentrated in that sprawling floating city, it makes sense that it would be a priority target. There is also some concern that, depending on how vicious Verus really is, that he may even attempt to destroy Citadel Station outright…

Your Jedi Followers are willing to take command of your forces wherever it is believed they will be needed. Some of them suggest possibly mounting a boarding action against Lord Verus’ flagship in order to outright kill the Sith Lord. They also suggest possibly splitting up across the planet’s surface to better command the defense.

Trask mentions that he is concerned that the Force Sensitve Mirialians that were rescued might be targeted, and Kota Vam is worried about how Lo Rai may conduct himself in the upcoming battle and suggests that it might be best to keep a close watch on him.
>>
>>196652
We should let lo rai lose, he agreed to leave after the battle. Damn if we had the corvette I would say go for his mother ship and out right kill him in a duel but with out it... Not sure we have a fast enough ship that would get all the Jedi there without getting ripped to shreds.
>>
>>196652
I would like to wait for more people to weigh in on this before we make a decision as this is a pretty big turning point.
>>

Depending on how and when you would stage a hypothetical boarding action could really decide whether the plan ends successfully or in disaster.

The prospect of being able to simply "Cut the Head from the Snake" is very promising, but also very risky.

>It's slightly disturbing that we haven't had any word from our Diplomat yet.
>Is there a time she is expected back?

There is no set time she is expected back, but it is believed that unless she met with serious resistance that she should have at least reached the Core Worlds by now.

The corvette she is traveling on is a remarkably fast and maneuverable vessel, but taking into consideration how far away Telos IV is from the Core Worlds, as seen in the Galaxy map at the start of the thread, and the general state that the Galaxy is in there may be a number of reasons why you haven't heard back from her yet.

hi
>>
>>196959
Ah another person, hello
Have you played this quest before?
Or do you need to be filled in?
>>
>>196652
Citadel Station is too much of a threat to still be here. We will need a token military force onboard, in order to tie down whatever units he sends to secure it. Most ground forces that aren't part of boarding teams should be located on the planet, ready to fight a defensive war should the space battle be lost.
I'm sadly not informed enough to try and strategize on space combat, so someone else can hopefully fill in.
>>
>>197483
It's really only how long we can hold him off his fleet is twice as big as ours and he has better ships. Our only really defence is the ion cannon we need to make sure it's very well defended.
>>
we should consider leaving a juicy target right above the ion cannon and have a fraction of our heavy hitters out of scanner range or obstructed from scanners in order to pincer their much larger fleet
>>
>>197932
That could work, our fleet specs is at the top of the thread
>>
I think we should send out a large distracting force to one of the enemy's heavy ships then slip in to the flagship with some jedi and eliminate Verus.
>>
>>198027
The thing is, that his fleet is to big, if we could draw his Flagship away from the fleet then that could work, the way it is now we will just get destroyed
>>
>>198046
Yeah that's true. Perhaps we go with the bait and switch plan and lure them into the ion cannon as the other anon suggested then we re-assess after seeing how that goes.
>>
>>198104
That will prob work best I don't think they know we have an ion cannon
>>
I'm saying we should try to hide a small portion of our fleet, 1/3 of the cruisers and over half of the starfighters in such a way that we can come out from behind them and take out the heavy hitters in the back of their fleet formation, while the ion cannon and the rest of our cruisers pound them from the front, also from behind we should have a safer shot at getting us and our Jedi knight contingent aboard the flagship to effectively cut off tactical communication and such throughout their fleet.
>>
>>198362
That could work if we have one third of the fleet warp in behind them then the Jedi in a ship could make a run for the flag ship and board it.
>>
>>198404
I'd suggest we send out scouts to find a proper staging ground for the assault fleet then, something far and remote enough so that we can establish our fleet and make sure they're ready for the engagement, but also close enough so that they can arrive when they are needed to.
>>
>>198423
Yes, we definitely need to do that but they are attacking right now as soon as we resume the quest will be here in a matter of minutes.
>>
>>198437
Hmm, probably would just pretend to be in a retreating position then, and as they make move to give chase to the portion of our fleet that 'can't escape' due to interdiction and such, our 'retreating contingent' should return at the back of their battle line.
>>
>>198458
Yea, we really don't have a lot of options at this point. But we have element of surprised with the ion cannon if we could somehow draw the flagship into its range their Fleet would take a massive hit
>>
>>197483
>>196652
Shouldn't we evacuate the citizens on the Citadel Station to the surface?

I apologize about that folks, I sort of passed out last night while awaiting a response...

So the plans are to

1. Hide a third of our fleet in order to attempt to surprise the Enemy's fleet and attack them from behind
2. Keep our Jedi together as part of a Boarding team inside the ambushing third of our fleet to strike Lord Verus' flagship
3. Attempt to surprise Lord Verus' fleet with the Ion Cannon
4. Try to evacuate as many citizens off of Citadel Station as possible before Verus invades while leaving a token military force there to defend it
5. The entirety of the ground forces will be concentrated around defending the forts save for the teams needed for the boarding action

Was there anything else you wanted to try to address? If not then we can end the planning phase and move on.
>>
>>196906
I think we might have a battle plan?
Evacuate the Citadel, leave a medium sized Force to defend it.
Have the two Jedi and the initiates? Defending the ion cannon with with the regular troops in the fort, maybe we can use the force to somehow make the ion cannon more powerful and accurate.
For the space battle try provoke and draw the flagship of his Fleet into range of the ion cannon, try to one shot it and take it out while the rest of the fleet is in a pincer formation, with a third of the fleet drawing them into range.
>>
>>199847
Ah, hi, didn't see you can we do what I said in my post?
That took way too long to type out on a phone.
>>
>>199847
Oh and how big roughly speaking is the station? Would say maybe a little bit over a thousand troops would be a token force on it or would less and more be considered a token force?
>>
>>199847
Oh and have the rest of the ground forces guarding the bases, with the majority of them at or in the forts surrounding the ion cannon.
>>
>>199853
We can definitely do, or at least attempt to do, all that you said in that post

Using the Force to somehow improve the Ion Cannon itself is one thing, but defending the Ion Cannon is something the Jedi can definitely do.

That also seems to be largely similar to the plans you and everyone else drew up last night, so unless I hear any objections soon then I will consider this to be Lord Reed's battle strategy

>>199862
>Oh and how big roughly speaking is the station?

Of the several hundred million people who live on Telos IV, roughly a tenth of the planet's population more or less live and work on the station. A token military force to defend it would be more around ten thousand or so. A Medium sized force to defend it, around a hundred thousand.

>>199865
So a medium sized force of around a hundred thousand to defend Citadel Station, while the other hundreds of thousands fortify and guard the bases primarily the one that houses the Ion Cannon.
>>
>>199872
That works, again any other anons that want to make two weeks ahead.
>>
>>199872
Can we have the Jedi that went crazy on the citadel, tell him to have at it, along with a smallish force.
>>
>>199872
I'm going to be indisposed for about an hour, I'll be back as soon as I can.
>>
>>199882
You can assign Lo Rai to Citadel Station if that is what you wish.

Then the other two Jedi along with the Force Initiates will defend the Ion Cannon while Trask, Kota Vam, and Arnet Yar join the Boarding Action team along with Lord Reed.

You guys are free to flesh out those other two jedi at some point if you're interested, otherwise I likely will at some point in the future

After drawing up military plans and dividing your forces where needed, you find that everything is in order.

Much of the battle’s success will lie upon Lord Reed’s attack on Lord Verus’ Flagship, though it will fall upon most of the other Jedi and soldiers to defend the world itself

Your forces take up position across the planet and bunker down in anticipation for the coming attack

Evacuations of Citadel Station have begun. Millions of people pour out of the massive city and join the rest of the population on the planet’s surface as they all go into hiding or take up arms themselves to defend their homes.

However, there is also a fair amount of people on Citadel Station who for whatever reason fail to leave. Some would rather choose to not abandon their homes while others simply get lost in the chaos of it all.

The hour draws near as Lord Reed and his forces steel themselves for what lies ahead…

No more than a few days later finds you standing at attention aboard a Hammerhead Crusier along with your military advisers and several of your fellow Jedi as you oversee the arrangement of your space forces.

Suddenly, Jedi Padawan Arnet Yar cries out

“The Sith are here!”

No less than a few seconds later a massive fleet jumps out of Hyperspace in the distance, with a large wedge shaped Destroyer leading the fleet as it immediately begins to speed towards Telos IV.

Over a thousand Starfighters, mainly Sith Buzzards and Interceptors
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Buzzard_(starfighter)
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/ISF_interceptor
Begin to pour out of the Sith Vessels and swarm towards your fleet

A few of the swarms trigger the mines, resulting in a few flashy explosions that manage to take out a squadron here and there, but it does little to slow down the horde of star fighters.

Your own Aurek Starfighters scramble out of your Hammerheads to meet the coming attack as they approach your fleet. All the while, you begin to position your space fleet for the Pincer formation as you await the charge of Lord Verus’ fleet.

Your squadrons of star fighters bravely meet theirs head on. In the resulting chaos, many of your squadrons are lost immediately as your fleet takes the full brunt of the Sith star fighters' barrage

Unfortunately, one of your own Hammerhead Crusiers is lost almost immediately in the opening stages of the battle as it is torn apart and destroyed. It's flaming wreckage gets caught up in Telos IV's orbit as it is sent careening towards the planet's surface while escape pods jettison in all directions.

HOWEVER, this battle is far from over!

Your fleet splits apart to engage in the pincer attack you have long prepared for! As Lord Verus' fleet begins to approach, you spring the attack.

The Sith Fleet smashes into the Anvil of your fleet, while the hammer begins to position to strike

Just as the Sith Fleet falls into position, you receive a transmission from a military commander on the Telos IV's surface.

"Commander Skrillex, Fire!"

A massive blue blast of energy pierces through space from the surface of Telos IV, immediately smashing into Lord Verus' Destroyer!

"Status Report!"

>"Lord Reed! The Destroyer's shields have taken considerable damage, though they are still up!"

The following salvos continue to fire up at the Destroyer, though the accuracy of the Ion Cannon appears to be rather unstable. A few of the blasts miss the Destroyer entirely, with one even blasting a Sith Cruiser that had been escorting it instead.

As the battle goes underway, the Sith Fleet begins to deploy ground forces as thousands of transport ships race for Telos IV's orbit.

Eventually, the times comes for you to enact your plan.

“Commence the Pincer Attack!”

Just as the third of the fleet defending Telos IV’s orbit begins to waver and fall apart, you order the other two thirds to smash into the Sith Fleet’s flank!

You appear to have caught the Sith by surprise as your forces charge through! Turbolaser fire and swarming squadrons of Sith Fighters hound your advance as much of your forces become bogged down in combat.

Still, you charge head on as you personally take to the hanger along with over a dozen squads of Commandos alongside your Jedi followers, Trask, Kota Vam, and Arnet Yar

“May the Force be with us! Prepare for boarding Actions!”

Your men salute you before rushing into boarding shuttles. The Hammerhead itself appears to be taking massive damage just as you fall upon Verus’ Destroyer

The Boarding Shuttles launch and speed toward the destroyer’s hanger. Under heavy fire, several of your shuttles are blasted apart and destroyed.

However, you and most of the other shuttles manage to break through and crash inside the hanger!

“Lord Reed! The battle is in our favor! So far we’ve managed to deny the Sith forces a beachhead on Citadel Station! Our turbo laser batteries have shot down pretty much all of their landing craft. Those that have been making landfall are being cut down in close quarters combat!”

A second transmission call from Commander Skrillex arrives

“My Lord, our defenses have been holding up well! With the aid of your Jedi followers, we’ve been able to beat back several waves of attacks. The Ion Cannon has sustained no damage whatsoever, and from what I’ve been able to gather most of the other forts have been holding up just as well as we have!”

You let loose a great Battle Cry, empowered by the Force itself as you charge alongside your men down the rest of the ship. Invigorated through the Force and inspired by your command, your men manage to fight their way through several corridors while cutting down all who oppose you.

>”That’s far enough Jedi! Your little insurrection ends here!”

A pale human stands in your way just as you were about to reach the Command Bridge. He brandishes a single red lightsaber.

Trask spits at the ground before brandishing his own blue lightsaber

>”We’ll see about that! Lord Reed, let me handle this one myself!”

>Let Trask take on this Sith Warrior alone while you go on to the Command Bridge?
>Assist Trask in slaying this Sith before going on ahead to face Verus together?

Note: You and your men are still empowered by your Battle Cry

“No Trask, we stand together!”

You and Trask charge ahead with your boarding party in tow.

As you attack the Sith Warrior, several enemy soldiers reveal themselves and attack you all. Although they catch your band by surprise, they only manage to kill a few of your commandos before your men ferociously strike back.

You and Trask fall upon the Sith Warrior together. He is a vicious combatant, but you manage to calmly block and parry aside his blows with relative ease.

In the whirlwind of Red and White light created by your lightsabers, Trask charges in and flanks the lone Sith. He reaches out with his claw and grapples him by the throat.

>”Die Monster!"

Trask proceeds to lift the Sith up and chokeslam him through a metal wall, making short work of your dark foe.

You and the rest of the boarding party proceed to mop up the ambushers.

The Command Bridge lies just ahead!
Unforunately, the effects of your battle cry seem to have been used up while you were defeating these Sith here.

Using the Force, you tear open the Blast Doors to the Command Bridge and charge in alongside Trask and your men.

The Bridge is a massive corridor the size of a concert hall, with a great view of Telos IV and the battle raging before you.

Up ahead towards the end of the Concert Hall stands a tall and brawny Feeorin wearing a suit of black armor, his face adorned with various Sith Tattoos.

Standing ahead of him lies a squad of Sith Soldiers clad in white and black armor.

>”You’re a long way from home Jedi. Your little crusade ends NOW!”

The Sith Lord’s voice booms down the hall to you and your men as you all begin to slowly approach.

>”But contrary to what you may have heard, I am not without mercy. Order your forces to stand down and surrender, and I will spare the people of Telos IV my wrath! Resist me, and I will force you to watch as I burn this world asunder!”

“Fuck you Verus!”

The Sith Lord’s eyes widen as the various Sith Troopers under his command lower their weapons and quizzically look at one another and the various bridge hands stop and stare.

>“WHAT DID YOU—?"

“I just finished causally fighting my way in here after slaying scores of your own men. You can surrender right now and maybe I’ll have enough mercy to let you go home to your master!”

The Sith Lord looks as if he is about to pop a blood vessel as he gestures to the battle erupting behind him

>“Take a closer look fool! Your fleet is being crushed as we speak, and it is only a matter of time before my men overwhelm your Telos IV's defenses! WE’RE GOING TO TEAR YOU TO PIECES!”

>>201260
“If you are so confident, then face me! Prove that you are strong enough to take Telos IV back!"

>”A duel then?”

Verus stops dead in his tracks as he stares you down.

Slowly a cruel smile forms on his lips

“Yes… hahahaha! Stand back men you’re in our way!”

Lord Verus brandishes his lightsaber and stomps ahead

You march ahead as well with your own forces following not too far behind.

The two of you meet at the center of the bridge as both of your forces continue to stare each other down.

>”Let’s see just how strong you really are!”

Verus activates his red lightsaber and charges you

>Reed faces Verus in a duel!

will accept best of 2 rolls

you're going to need to explain these rules lol.

gay
>>
>>201640
Generally I will allow rolls of 1d100

Given the size of how many anons there generally are, I decided it would be best to accept the best of the first two rolls.

I will sometimes allow you to have a bonus to your roll if I feel that you chose to do something particularly clever or because you chose to do something that matches what you are good at or what you were really prepared for.

Conversely, I might decide to add a penalty to the roll if you chose to do something that is clearly unfeasible, something you weren't really prepared for at all, or something you just aren't suited at doing.

When accepting rolls, I check to see which Anons are rolling. I very much prefer the two rolls to be from two different Anons, that way more people can contribute rolls to the game.

This was the first instance that I rolled against you, seeing as you are currently fighting a duel I thought this would be appropriate. Your enemies will generally only receive one roll against you compared to your two unless the odds are SEVERELY stacked against you for some odd reason.

Oh, and I won't always ask for rolls. Sometimes you can just do things because they are really easy for you to pull off.

Does that make sense Anon?

>74 vs. 71

Verus roars as he pounces Kraton Reed with his lightsaber, viciously striking at the Jedi Lord with a barrage of slashes and strikes

Reed coolly stares the ferocious Sith down as he proceeds to block and parry his attacks. Despite the Sith’s ferocity, Reed is able to weather his opponent's seemingly endless offensive for several whole minutes.

>”FALL DAMN YOU!”

Reed leans back as Verus’ saber sails over his head. The Jedi strikes forward at Verus, cutting across his cheek. The Sith balks as he steps back just out of reach of Reed’s sabers and raises a hand to the cut on his face

>”No one makes me bleed my own blood. NO ONE!”

Judging from his style, Lord Verus appears to be using Form VII Juyo. A form of Lightsaber combat that favors being on the offensive as much as possible but has little defensive maneuvers to speak of.

>You are currently unscathed, though you were unable to get Verus into position for your men to shoot him in the back

>”What have you done to my ship! AARRRRRGH!”

Reed continues to push the Sith back several steps before stabbing forward and piercing the Sith’s side. He howls in pain as he stumbles away from Reed.

A bridge hand shouts over

Lord Verus sprints toward Kraton Reed in a manic rage as he wildly swings his lightsaber at him!

With a quick sidestep out of the way, Kraton parries his slash and lets the seething Sith Lord stumble past him before twirling about in a 360 degree arc and slicing him in the back

Kraton Reed and Verus stand perfectly still for several seconds as the Command Bridge falls silent save for the explosions and blaster fire coming from outside.

>"GURK!"

Verus sputters blood before collapsing to the ground in a pool of his own blood.

>Lord Verus has been slain!

The Sith soldiers balk at you as Trask and your commandos cheer to your victory!

If you'd want, you could do the same thing for the other Jedi as well! They won't necessarily be more powerful than the other Jedi Knights under Reed's command, but they may excel more at certain tasks and may become more suitable for certain missions.

Also, here's what I had written up on the Jedi that I have named for those who were interested. Each of the Jedi under Lord Reed's command has varying personalities and strong suits and you are all largely free to command them as you see fit.

Trask
Gender: Male
Species: Trandoshan
Lightsaber: Single blue saber
Style: Form V Djem So

Bio: A rather boisterous man who appears to have a simple mind but a large heart, Trask was the very first Jedi Knight to heed your call to strike back against the Sith.

Jaina Charr
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Lightsaber: Single Yellow Saber
Style: Form IV Ataru

Bio: A Corellian woman who claims descent from smugglers, Jaina certainly seems to possess a smuggler’s charm. She has a way with words, and a tendency to maneuver herself into and out of trouble with surprising ease.

Lo Rai
Gender: Male
Species: Arkanian
Lightsaber: Single Blue saber
Style: Form VI Niman

Bio: A young and handsome man who was once a quiet member of the Jedi Archives, Lo Rai’s demeanor has recently changed greatly after researching the Telosian Sith Holocron. He has now became a rather bombastic individual, with an obsession with uncovering the secrets of the Dark Side. His intentions appear to be good, yet…

Kota Vam
Gender: Male
Species: Togruta
Lightsaber: Single Green Saber
Style: Form III Soresu

Bio: A stern man who has an intimidating aura about him. While he may appear cold and aloof at times, this Jedi Knight is nonetheless a skilled warrior and arguably a wise man you can count on for advice.

Arnet Yar
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Lightsaber: Single Blue Training Saber
Style: Form I Shii Cho

Bio: An adolescent who grew up in poverty on Citadel Station, Arnet was astonished when the Jedi who liberated his world showed up at his doorstep. He is fascinated by the Force and is eager to train under his Master Kota Vam, though he has much to learn.

Oh and along with the two Jedi followers, I am also allowing you Anons the opportunity to choose what Kraton Reed's preferred Lightsaber fighting style is.

That way, the next time Kraton Reed ends up becoming involved in something combat related, you'll have a better understanding of what actions he can take in combat that are more likely to succeed.

If any Anons don't really know much about what those Styles are like then this is actually a decent and brief guide
http://imgur.com/gallery/jf50X

We can probably finalize all of that later on after this battle ends sometime during the next thread
