[Ring of the lost urges you to head east]

After the fight, Lishro drowned her sorrows and yours with more of her warm drink. She shared some stories with you about her homeland. She also commented on the man she was looking for...this Honorable Giznru. Her unyielding hope at finding him was truly something.

With a brave eastern warrior by your side, you felt more able to face what was lurking ahead. The cries grew louder and louder. It was unbearable.

"Fallen Corris awaits us in the south, A boat is our sole way of getting there..." the woman had some hard time while the cries echoed through the air.

You found an emberless ash to you east. It brought you some sort of comfort. Unlike you, Lishro was not bound by the ash. She have one life and one life only. You took this fact into consideration.

There was no time to waste; you proceeded downwards to the south. You found a strange dead creature clutching to a small wooden chest. It resembled an elongated fly with various limbs and wings covered in slime.

Crimson Robe

A lavish robe worn by the flies of Esrin. The city of trinkets and wonders. Despite its luxurious look, It was worn by the poorest of flies. One can only imagine the true treasures of Esrin.

"I know their Ilk, hoarders of wealth....they waged various wars to fatten their treasury. Like many before them, they succumbed into nothingness thanks to their greed." Lishro was disgusted by this creature.

You and Lishro headed further down south. At some point, the cries toned down just a little bit. you didn't know why.

"Look! A boat!" Lishro was excited to spot one not too far from your position.

Next to the boat lied a small infant. He didn't look normal by any means; his face was irregular and deformed, A single horn sprouted from his head. A somewhat large and slender arm with three digits was hidden under the infant's wrapping. The infant was squirming and crying but it was bearable to approach him, unlike before...

As you were getting closing to the infant. Someone erupted from the water destroying the boat in the process.

"NO!" Lishro cried, she immediately drew her spear in sheer anger.

A tall slender woman in a tattered white dress grabbed the infant with care, her skin was pale and wrinkly resembling a drowned corpse, it was oddly similar to the infant. Two unnatural horns sprouted from her forehead.

She lowered a part her dress to expose her breast for the starving infant, He suckled it in pure joy. She stared at you both for a while giving no reactions towards you until Lishro threw her spear.

The bride immediately turned with grace taking the spear in the back; otherwise, it would hit the infant. The bride screeched in pure rage sending a quake across the sea.

Another figure rose from the sea. He looked more human than her, He had a crown sewn to his head by force. Most of his orifices were sewn as well. His armour was once majestic but now it was rusty, brimmed with slime and corals. He possessed one arm only which held a greatsword with a design similar to your Corris longsword.

The prince kissed the forehead of his infant as well as the bride before priming his sword against you.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" The eastern warrior was clearly mad at the bride, She charged towards giving little concerns about her personal safety. The Bride clearly didn't want to fight her as she back away. She was conjuring something with her free hand.

The Fallen prince gave you no rest or pity, He growled with each swipe. He was bit slow on his feet though. With no eyes, he was solely relying on sounds to fight you.

Your sword made its way past the rusty armour of the fallen prince onto his chest after a swing of his. The prince growled in pain, he refused to die just yet. He Stabbed his sword to the ground before grabbing and smashing you to the ground. Such impact broke a rib or two but the rush of the battle cleansed you from any pain.

The fallen prince grabbed his sword and went towards the bride who was having a hard time protecting the infant during Lishro's fast and ruthless attacks. The bride has already sustained various wounds from Lishro's small katana.

You mustered some strength to stand up. The eastern warrior was pinned down by the bride and prince yet she was holding her ground. The slime has worn off, thankfully.

With your long sword, you stabbed the unsuspecting bride in the back when she was too busy dealing with Lishro's attacks.

The prince, the bride even Lishro to some extent stopped fighting. The three of them stared at the last moments of the infant as he was struggling to exist with the tip of your swords deep in his neck.

The Fallen prince dropped his mighty sword and approach the dead infant. As he was trying to calm down the trembling bride, A wail of agony escaped her lips. Her skin and flesh were ripping themselves apart, her bones were crackling and reforming....

You and Lishro watched in horror as the bride morphed into a flightless emerald dragon with a long maw and four crippled wings. Her tail was rudimentary and short unlike her long limbs. her scales failed to cover most of her body. Her new body was oozing pus and blood. The horns grew considerably in size...enough to impale you should she had the chance.

The fallen prince bowed before the dragon, He allowed himself to get crushed between her mighty teeth. The dragon gained enough strength to crush you both from the fallen prince.

Your dodges were slow compared to Uzn's fast pace; A shockwave sent you flying before landing on the slimy ground. You broke another set of bones; the shield felt too heavy for your to maintain as well as the greatbow strapped to your back. You had to lay off both of them in your current state.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Lishro showed ultimate courage as she slashed the right hind leg of the sodden mother. It was far from a crippling wound but It sure grabbed the attention of the emerald dragon.

The emerald dragon turned herself to face the nuisance behind her back. She breathed green fire at the eastern warrior who would have been turned into crisp if it weren't for her dodging skills. Unsatisfied, The sodden mother rushed toward Lishro swinging her mighty claw at the eastern warrior.

Lishro was panting heavily; her heavy armour was somewhat hindering her. Her midsection was bleeding. She failed to notice that in the rush of the battle.

The sodden mother sensed your clumsy approach to her hind, A single tail swipe left a grave impact on your ribs. With nothing but soft tattered cloth to protect your innards, you faced a grave injury....

Your lungs were heavily punctured. You collapsed on the ground trying to maintain a steady breath. Your broken body gave Lishro enough motivation to face this abomination straight on. She stood strong; for her death would be the end of you as well.

Her crimson hair flailed wildly with her blood the further she fought the dragon. Running was never an option. She would stand and fight until naught was left of her.

Your vision fluttered as your were witnessing the emerald dragon facing the courageous eastern warrior. She bellowed at the abomination with never-ending determination.

"KOLAAL!! MIKERM FOLAAL!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!" Lishro ignored all injuries and charged onwards. Her small katana glowed red harmonizing with her rage and power.

The eastern warrior started with a gashing slice to the dragon's front leg. As the sodden mother was trying to gnaw the little pest, Lishro sprang onto the abomination's scaly face repeatedly stabbing her left eye.

The dragon withered in pain. Lishro quickly jumped off before she would get crushed under this immense weight. She ran her blade by the other front leg. The dragon couldn't hold its immense weight; the weakened legs snapped in a blink of an eye. Her dragon bones were visible to the world.

Uzn collapsed on the ground, She breathed fire wildly failing to focus on her recent blind spot. Lishro spared no chance; she twisted her katana deep into the dragon's neck. A torrent of blood push her away.

The dragon panicked as the sense of mortality ebbed. She did more harm than good while trying to stop this gash. Soon, the Sodden mother made a large thud where her head collapsed. Trickles of green embers escaped her maw in poor attempt to harm the victor.

The sodden mother was no more.

__________ YOU DEFEATED __________

+50,000 Souls

Three brilliant souls escaped this scaly shell. Lishro quickly grabbed them before running towards your. She was wounded, yes. But not as bad as you; your body was wrecked beyond measure.

"No...I..." the Dragonslayer did not know what to do; she didn't know any miracles so did you.

In your stuttering breath, you explained your role as a vessel of ash and how you are bound to this world until your role is fulfilled.

Lishro nodded. She didn't like this, delivering the final blow, but she understood. You were already struggling as it was.

"close your eyes.....and forgive me..." You managed to stand up. You closed your eyes as you were told.

You were rendered headless the moment after.

_________ YOU DIED _________

You were reborn once again near the emberless ash. Lishro was already waiting for you. The savage garb was pretty much useless at this point and so you had to put on the lavish and comfortable Crimson robe.

"This...Kesp said that your words are not on par with his agreement. I found truth in his words....I allowed him to take all of the great arrows.... We spoke together on the way back to this pile. He was very gentle. Poor creature." Perhaps this wasn't the best thing to offer to the bastard.

Sadness was written on her face "The boat is destroyed. I suppose we have to find another mean to reach fallen Coris." She paused briefly pulling out three wondrous souls of the father, the mother and the infant " I haven't consumed these; i was waiting for your saying on this one...."

The souls were:

Soul of Ioa, the fallen prince.
Soul of Uzn, the sodden mother

The eastern warrior gave you a gentle smile "From where i come, we refuse the crave for wonderful souls. W-I have seen what they done to simple folks turning them into mindless beast...but i trust them in your hands. Just...don't fall in their madness."

Lishro handled you all the souls.

>Soul of Ioa, The fallen prince

Soul of desperate prince, consume it to gain lots of souls. Or perhaps....

The prince of Coris was the last hope of his kingdom. The women in these lands were too weak to bear children; all of them had a withered womb cursed by the unknown. His kingdom would have died one way or another....

>Soul of Uzn, the sodden mother.

Great soul of an abomination, consume to gain lots of souls, or perhaps....

And so the fallen prince asked aid from an ancient serpent. The serpent guided the prince to corpse of a dragon unscathed by time and hidden deep in the Ossuary of Coris. The prince was given the means to mold a woman out of this great carcass....Uzn.

>Twisted soul of the infant, the last seed of Coris

Twisted and Malicious soul of an infant which doesn't belong to this world. Consume it to gain souls, or perhaps....

And so the last of Coris was born after years of impotence. The infant brought naught but bloodshed and war as the kingdom was split into two factions; one that consider this thing an utter blasphemy while the other considered the infant and his mother as a miracle.

It didn't matter, the kingdom was led to ruins. The infant spent years and years in his current state waiting for the warmth of his father and mother. The love for their child bounded the father and the mother in this barren world.

You drew strength from the firekeepr. You felt more able to face the lied ahead. The firekeeper wasn't aware of the kingdom of Coris and its tragedy. She showed a bit of disappointment in this pursuit of the crow of Coris; Seeking Yurex west of Pilgrim's wood was supposed to be your primary concern for this former vessel of Ash would give you more insight about how to defeat the other vessels.

The news of the brand troubled the firekeeper greatly. She urged you to get rid of it as soon as possible lest all would be lost even if that meant sacrificing two souls to the strange creature at Ioa's sea.

You were covered by bore as you did naught in the following days, at least they were peaceful ones. Lishro had fully recovered, another scar joined the rest or so she said. She didn't want to intervene with your journey; she said that she would find another way to Coris....then she would call for your help. She left the sanctuary thanking you and the firekeeper for the hospitality.

All but one.

This hollow looked at the bridge not too far from here. He screamed briefly before curling up as well.

Soon you hard a heavy breathing radiating from the bridge. A dark figure sprinted towards the pilgrims performing a magnificent leap to stand between you and them.

Said figure was once a woman. She was missing an arm while the other held a mighty curved sword which was somewhat fused to her arm. It was oozing black substance on the ground. Her head was barely resting over what remained of her shoulder. An Iron mask obscured her face. The dark figure had a pale, sickly and limp body. You felt like the sword was controlling her movement. However, the true purpose of the brand as stated before is to smother any soul acquire from the five vessels (The Holy dreams of Livendagen . Holy Knight Lukus. Hey OP, you're getting better at this. Just one thing, stop using "somewhat" as an all-purpose word, it means "a small amount/to a lesser degree". While all uses so far being technically correct, it makes you look like an ESL when you overuse it, like reading a manga translated by Pinoys. It will do your writing and vocabulary good to write more accurate descriptions (or simply forgo it, since you won't lose any detail by doing so) rather than hand-waving them away with vague words. http://www.merriam-webster.com/thesaurus/somewhat

You left the Sanctuary with uneasiness brewing in your chest; this high shard....he was not to be trusted and yet you crawled back to his web. You hoped for the best in the future. While you could not see it, you felt the dark brand churning inside your hand. It must be removed or all would be lost.

You left the barren lands of the Ashen end and crossed a long wooden bridge leading to Pilgrim's woods. Shard Yerne was guarding the other side. Her limps and head were twitching but that was it; she was as docile as those Pilgrims. She granted you a safe passage.

______ Pilgrim's woods _______

The woods reeked of darkness, everything around you was pungent and withered. Cold, ancient trees covered most of the area, they challenged the very sunless skies. Silent crows watched every step of yours....

All of their eyes were plucked out

Something was unsettling about them. Not a single caw escaped their twisted beaks. Ravenous infection ran wildly in their orbits. You spotted some dead crows on the road.

They had eyes, bloating and bulbous.

Moving on, You found an emberless ash at the start of the road. The main road has split into two path, one to North, the other was to the south.

You could venture outside of the road but you didn't know what lied hidden in these dark woods.

(Cont.)
>>
You heard a distinct tapping inching towards you. From the trees, An old man with a wooden cane edged near you. He had a bloody blindfold covering most of his face, his tattered garment was sleeveless exposing his charred arms. He didn't seem to bear any weapon.

A peculiar Eye sprouted in his left thigh, It was guarded by a small cage of iron. The eye gazed at you with a gleam of curiosity.

The old man spoke "Aaah, yet another who dares to enter the lair of Wick Qurso . the hunter who injured the unsavory beast You are not a hunter....you are not a pilgrim....have you come to your death, my boy?"

The old man paused for an inappropriate cough "But....but i may help you while you are here. Grant me your eyes lest the hunter of eyes claim them. I will safe keep them until you end him. You may want to acquire the bell...it will guide you in your sorry state. I will sell it for you....for all of your souls.." the old man bared a toothless grin, a greedy one.

You collapsed on the ground withering in sheer agony. The old man dropped the bell next to you "Pleasure doing business with you, young one. When you best the hunter of eyes, do find me...I will be around, Heayahaaha!!"

"Thank the gods. Y-you are not him. I was so foolish to trust him; i thought he was true about an injured traveler. I doesn't matter now. This place...it belongs to the abyss. I can't hear the voice of the divines. I can't see their holy light.... There is no hope for me here. I beg of you, Kill me. Despite her objection, you carried the broken maiden. She was terribly light in weight. She had no strength left in her anyways.

There was but one path ahead of you. It sank in total darkness. You had to constantly ring the bell to acquire a relative accurate image of your surrounding. This drew the attention of the monsters down below. You ought to escape this chasm as soon as possible.

Carrying the maiden and withstanding the pain from the fall took a toll on your health. You were growing tired with each second.

A narrow catwalk awaited you at the start of the path. It was a bit slippery with black substance. The maiden has already fainted; she was probably stuck here for a couple of days.

You took the northern road, another crossroads awaited you, the southern one would lead you to a tar riddled area while the northern one was brimmed with dead crows. None was appealing.

Soon, you spotted the damn fly carrying a decent sack on his back humming in joy. He startled as you confronted him.

"B-bloody-I....how did you? Damn...Damn..."

The fly put his sack on the ground, all of his limbs were clutched together "Blimey,L-l-ook, I did you wrong. I admit it but you get these...urges, you know? Come on now, let bygones be bygones. I-i will be a new fly...A-a righteous one. N-no more tricks -Just for you! All's well ends well. No?"

"We are practically chums now, There is no need for this tone. Do come back and i will hold a little surprise for you.....safe travels, friend!" with an arching smile, Snitches hovered to the east.

The eyeless corpses of the crows reeked of rot and decay. The musk was too thick, It was sometimes noxious to breathe.

Your peripheral vision caught a corpse of what seemed to be hunter in a previous life. An elegant bow was strapped onto the corpse's bloating back with a handful of arrows scattered around the hunter. They were a bit far from the main road though....your constant ringing would fail in keeping you conceal in any scenario.

A black tower was visible in a distance. Piles of crows were huddled around this structure.

A loaded corpse should not be left alone. You grabbed a long bow and x20 standard arrow .

You ignored yet another crossroad and headed straight for the ominous tower. Three figures fell from the top of the tower breaking their bones and beaks at the same time.

Yet they found some strength to strand up. They were bastards of men and crows, The three crows pulled different weapons from their long throats

A feathered rapier.

A feathered short sword.

A feathered dagger.

The crow with the dagger flickered its broken wings before diving straight towards you. While the dagger was blocked by your shield, his beak wasn't; it tore a decent chunk of your right cheek. You bashed it with your shield to retaliate, It backed away with a bit of satisfaction.

You were outnumbered, you also had to ring the bell every minute or so. The odds weren't in your favour. You picked your first move carefully.

>Attack___ with your longsword [15-20]

you managed to slice one of the crow's chest, clutch coin has turn into dust

The crow didn't complain though, it continued to thrust its rapier. The other crows flew behind you and grabbed you in haste only to drop you from a semi-hazardous height as you grew unstable under their clutches.

Luckily, you clung to branch as you dropped hard on the ground. Your crimson robs became tattered, quickly, you tied the bell to your leg with a piece of cloth. It was for the best.

The crows slowly circled around you , the crow with the rapier was a bit sluggish with black blood dripping from his deformed chest but he was still strong as ever. The crows charged in unison.

You chose to flee from these bastards, You were reckless, unaware of your environment. Your feet have betrayed you as you plummet straight to the ground. Something must have tripped you.

The crows were quick on their feet and wings, they caught up with you with ease. The one with the rapier stabbed you in the abdomen, He drew his rapier from your wound, his broken beak was about to peck you to death.

Suddenly, A chilling scream to the west shook the whole woods,While remaining still, you noticed something very important.

The bastards had eyes....

A mighty Javelin was thrown from a great Distance, It barely missed the crow with the rapier as it and its brethren backed away in terror. The Javelin had eyes sprouted from every inch but the tip.

You heard some heavy and slow footsteps, A towering man inched towards the crows. He wore a bloodied leathered armour with various eyes stitched to it. That wasn't all, his very face had a pelthora of eyes of many origins. All of them dripped black blood.
Javelins were strapped to his back, A twisted spear made out of bones was the man's weapons of choice.

"Haa....aaaa....aaaaaah.....ah" cold air escaped what you presumed to be a mouth. You flinched in shock when the crows plucked out their own eyes . they fled back to the tower.

The man slowly turned to whence he came from, his eye spotted you.....

When it was safe, you stood up. You were slowly withering away with this mortal wounds. they crows kept fumbling about at the top of the tower, they were adjusting to their current state.

Blood dripped from your mouth. A hand clutched to the wound, while the other held he Corris Longsword.

With the hunter gone, The crows have gathered some courage to fly down. The three of them drew their weapons in a defensive stance. They were waiting for you to make a noise to spot you. they were waiting for that bell to ring....

You had to end this soon, lest you would join this pile of crows....

The arrow harmlessly missed its target, it bounced off against the black tower. The crows looked around; you produced as little sound as possible whilst loosening the arrow.

The crow with the rapier flailed his weapon wildly; His time on this world was dwindling thanks to his wound.

The crude image was fading away, you had to ring your bell.

That was the last thing you saw, everything went black.

You heard various slashes against something slimy in nature but the slashes were muffled alongside with their makers.

__________ YOU DEFEATED ________

+10000 Soul

You gained:

>Twisted Souls of the Jailors

An amalgamation of malicious souls which belong to the Accursed Jailors. Consume them for souls, Or perhaps....

The Holy dream of Livendagen tried to consume Pokent, the dreamchaser. But the child was too strong for the holy dream. A potential danger for their perfect world Thus, the high priests banished him far away in the Pilgrim's woods.
The Dreamchaser was guarded by a trio of assassins who sacrificed their souls to gain Norr's accursed weapons.

>Feathered Dagger/rapier/Shortword

Accursed weapons forged by Norr, the cursed Blacksmith. Greatly increase one's strength and dexterity. A strange power was bestowed upon this blacksmith. These set of weapons would slowly turn their wielders into beasts ...

As dreadful as this might be, it was a blessing in disguise....

Weir disappeared for a bit, It came back with the bell. As you rang the bell, you witnessed a true abomination, An oozing, bleeding pile of flesh with stretched faces churning to no end. Hands and feet sprouted from every angle, Teeth were like body hair to Weir budding everywhere.

Weir took note of your disgust "What's the matter? This one seemed perturbed. Self trusts this one to slay the hunter of eyes....and to leave his soul intact for Self. Mayhaps Self can provide another reward in due time...."
