Ok, so we have enough lore to finally start making the compendium file. We could add more stuff, but honestly the priority now ought to be the compendium. On my part, I'm going to start adding and organizing all of the info that is not the nations/regions, since those are going to need more summarizing. Also, we could also continue adding images of flags, monsters and so on, since that can be added to the file easily.

Mokdregian. Not sure why, but the "giant with two heads with different sizes" keeps ignoring the multiple heads part. I'll see if I can get something better later.

Also, before I continue making images for the sentient species, if there are images on the threads that show of the species I haven't added to the file, please tell me where they are and I'll add them.

Ok, so the ones I'm still trying to find are:
-Wisp Fairies

-Balachko
-Automata

I'll try to make some of them later, but if someone can find them on the archives, all the better.

Wisp Fairy. Probably more cartoony that I initially wanted, but after a bit of editing I think it fits the description more.

That's a problem witb most of the ai images.
You should really change your prompt to something more grounded. Right now it looks like corporate art.

the uldra was based on the original description, not the retcon version

the catfolk lower half looks more like a tiger, but may be still useful

pig folk on thread 29

hippotaur attached

centaur - nothing matches the weird hair thing

automata - could look like anything really, the ones I have are mostly egyptian themed

We have multiple pig people, those are poinks and porks, not pigfolk. Pigfolk are described mostly as warthog people.

>What weird hair thing?
in your description you said males have no hair, and females have multi-color hair
>>
>>91452358
Ah, that. I meant the males are bald, and the females' hair would imitate their body fur. Probably should have been more specific.
>>
Also, the image of balachko has three heads and three arms, which is nowhere in the description. Though the image did come before the written description (guess I missed the image back then, my bad), so we probably should add some description to take that into account.
>>
>>91447658
>High quality painting made using the sfumato technique of a diminute fairy, humanoid fairy, humanoid proportions, colorful translucent butterfly wings, humanoid arms, head with antennae, big black eyes, happy expression, looking upwards, short hair, standing on a tree branch, simple design, fantasy forest background, D&D artstyle, oil canvas style, highly detailed, fantasy design

If you can think of some other combination that works better, be my guest. I imagine them as tinkerbell-like but with the deep black eyes, butterfly wings and antenna. Possibly with a head proportionally bigger, but not as big as in the image there.
>>
>>91452738
Ok, here I'll write something for the balachko's three heads.

>Balachko
The older a balachko grows, they can sometimes develop a second, and even a third head, sprouting from the neck. These heads can often lack certain elements, such as mouth, eyes, nose or ears, and their level of individual conscience is heavily discussed, as the individual balachko's behavior is not that altered. The can also grow one or two extra arms, in an uneven and ungainly, often in a more deformed shape (either multiple elbow articulations, multiple hands sprouting from the wrist, or even a diminutive hand growing from the tip of the finger). During this growth, their skin will change into a brownish coloration, and once the development is complete, they will go back to their blueish taint.

>HUMANS
-Humans X Elves: Human are perfectly compatible with each other, with the exception of human X wood elf, as due to the seed reproduction of the wood elves, it needs a male elf and a female human to work, and it can't the other way around.
-Humans X Halflings: Humans X hobbits are perfectly compatible with each other, whereas humans x gnomes’ descendants are not fertile. Humans X Brownies are not compatible due to logistic reasons.
-Humans X Animalkin: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is a humanoid animalkin of the same kind as their progenitor.
-Humans X Nymph: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is another nymph.
-Humans X Hags: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is another hag.
-Humans X Dwarves: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Humans X Orcs: They can interbreed, but the result of the union is sterile.
-Humans X Goblins: They are only compatible with male goblin and female human, as goblins reproduce by egg laying.
-Humans X Ogres: They are only compatible with male human and female ogre, due to the stress to the human female’s body during gestation killing the mother.
-Humans X Joos: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Humans X Ketlovian Werewolves: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Humans X She-eep: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is a another she-eep.
-Humans X Satyr: Their descendant is a sterile satyr with more humanoid limbs and smaller horns.
-Humans X Goatmen: Human female x Goatmen male is possible, but the sheer level of dark magic within goatmen results in the death of the mother after birth. The result is another goatmen.
-Humans X Faun: Their descendant is a sterile faun with more humanoid limbs and smaller horns.
-Humans X Ecrkoecknoi/Frogmen: Only female human x male frogmen are compatible, as frogmen reproduce by laying eggs.
>>
>>91460138
-Humans X Froglins: Only female human x male froglins are compatible, as frogmen reproduce by laying eggs.
-Humans X Toadlings: Only female human x male toadlings are compatible, as frogmen reproduce by laying eggs.
-Humans X Ulwogs: Only female human x male ulwogs are compatible, as frogmen reproduce by laying eggs.
-Humans X Hop'en: Only female human x male hop'en are compatible, as frogmen reproduce by laying eggs.
-Humans X Tieflings: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Humans X Ancient Mermaid: They are compatible, but the result is closer to a mermaid than a human, often with legs to walk on land and gills to breathe underwater, though they are sterile.
-Humans X Voydanick: They are compatible with each other, but the descendants are sterile.
-Humans X Pondlings: They are compatible with each other, but the descendants are sterile.
-Humans X Mirelow: They are compatible with each other, but the descendants are sterile.
-Humans X Ekhidna: They are compatible with each other, but the descendants are sterile.
-Humans X Mirewenches: They are compatible with each other, but the descendants are sterile.
-Humans X Facedancers: They are theoretically compatible, as facedancers are shapeshifters, though the result is a sterile facedancer.
>>
>>91460152
>ELVES
-Between Elves: All elves can perfectly interbreed with each other, with the exception of the wood elves, due to their unique reproductive system, so only male wood elves could interbreed with other elves.
-Elves X Animalkin: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is an elven animalkin of the same kind as their progenitor. The exception being with Wood Elves due to the previously explained reasoning.
-Wood Elves X Dryads: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Elves X Nymphs: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is another nymph.
-Elves X Ketlovian Werewolves: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Elves X Tieflings: They are perfectly compatible with each other
>>
>>91460246
FAIRIES:
-Between fairies:
--Common Fairies X Other Fairies: Only female common fairy X male other fairy is possible due to the size difference.
--Wisp Fairies X Other Fairies: They are compatible, but the result is a sterile wisp fairy.
--In any other combination: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Fairies X Brownies: They are perfectly compatible with each other, with the exception of common fairies due to the previously mentioned size difference, thus only female common fairy X male is possible.
>>
>>91460290
>HALFLINGS
-Between Halflings: They are perfectly compatible with each other, with the exception of brownies due to size difference.
-Halfling X Animalkin: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is an halfling-like animalkin of the same kind as their progenitor. The exception being with brownies due to the size difference.
-Hobbits X Dwarves: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Gnomes X Dwarves: They are compatible with each other, but the result is sterile.
-Hobbits X Ketlovian Werewolves: Hobbits X Ketlovian Werewolves are compatible with each other but the descendants are not fertile.
-Gnomes X Ketlovian Werewolves: Gnomes X Ketlovian Werewolves are compatible with each other but the descendants are not fertile.
-Hobbits X Tieflings: Hobbits X Tieflings are compatible with each other but the descendants are not fertile.
-Gnomes X Tieflings: Gnomes X Tieflings are compatible with each other but the descendants are not fertile.

>>91460341
ANIMALKIN
-Animalkin X Nymph: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is another nymph.
-Animalkin X Ketlovian Werewolves: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is a humanoid animalkin with the ketlovian therianthropic curse.
-Animalkin X Facedancers: They are theoretically possible, but no known cases have been registered.
>>
>>91460361
>NYMPHS
-Nymphs X Histerians: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is another nymph.
-Nymphs X Dwarves: They are perfectly compatible with each other, the descendant is another nymph.

-Dwarves X Ketlovian Werewolves: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Dwarves X Tieflings: They are perfectly compatible with each other.
-Dwarves X Facedancers: They are theoretically possible, but no known cases have been registered.

>SATYR
-Satyr X Goatmen: The result of a crossing between Satyr and a Goatmen is a goat, as in an animal goat without any kind of sentience. This will also result in the death of the mother. These goats are adored as dark messengers by the goatmen, despite the fact they are just regular goats.
-Satyr X Tieflings: Their descendant is a sterile satyr with more humanoid limbs and smaller horns.

>FAUNS
-Fauns X Tieflings: Their descendant is a sterile faun with more humanoid limbs and smaller horns.

Also, we have more than 150 gods mentioned, give or take. If we had to reduce the list to the 15 most influential deities of the setting, which ones would they be? I feel like presenting the gods that way in the compendium would be more practical than mentioning the full list with details.

From the top of my head, I can think of:
-Goddess of Harmony
-God of Action
-God of Gluttony/The Maw (depending on whether they trully are one being or not)
-The Spider Goddess
-Gogotha the Succubus Queen
-Bronzar
-Althazzar
-The Volcano God (the multiple iterations of it)

There's also the case of Uun, since he was definitely one of the main ones, but after the Curse of Uun he technically left the world already, so perhaps he shouldn't be described further.

Another entities would be the Goddess of Greed, though I'm not sure how big she'd realistically be. Same for Mg'umba. The Bog Witch is certainly powerful to count as a god-like entity, but again, probably needs more discussion.

I have more or less added all of the "Grea organizations" part of the document, with the exception of the Scatological Wizards, as the article could use a decent cleaning (pun intended), since it is somewhat disorganized and lacks focus.

We could also use crests and emblems for the different groups mentioned, as well as continuing with the flags of the nations. I'll also check if we have images for the monsters, as those are not organized not in the wiki.

Also, any suggestions or extra images would be appreciated, we are going to need a ton of those to make sure the blocks of text are lighter.

I hate this one. The Automata are millennia old machines made for war endlessly manning a ramshackle wall at the border with on one side a place corrupted by hell and demons and on the other an ancient battlefield swarming with necromancers.

This nigger does not remotely convey their vibe. They should look like if a war forged went on vacation in Ultrakill and got jumped by a Litch on the way back.

Fair enough, though the lore does say there are civilian automata. I'll try to get something else tomorrow.

Do we know when the Kingdom of Tarot was formed? I assume it was at some point between the late 21st and the 26th century, and it must have been well established by the time the Quake of Elanxa happened in 2.607 ABE so that it turns the eventual Poker into a vassal.

Ok, so I've tried to reorganize the history of the scatological wizards, since their writeup was in need of a cleanup (also some bits did not fit with the modern timeline). I've tried to keep most of the original bits, though I had to do some ajustments.

>History of the Scatomancers
The practice of using excrement as an element for the mystical and the occult has existed for millennia. Often the remit of primitive witch-doctors or crazed witches, the study has been seen for millennia as something long surpassed, both due to its unclean and unsightly nature and due to the advancement of the more scientific methods of magic and alchemy. Even as a purely medical affair, the study of feces to know the health of an individual is seen as something unappealing even by the doctors who practice it.

Likewise, the presence of dung and other similar secretions had been present in some alchemical treaties and traditions, such as the works of alchemists such as Cerchau or Spearshak, mystics whose body of work was shunned back in the day but are now vindicated by the modern scatomancers. However, it would be at the beginning of the 26th century ABE where the alchemical interest around manure would grow into levels that would worry the intellectual circles.
>>
>>91507227
Around the late 25th century ABE, a series of kingdoms near the Labyrinth Bay began unifying. The political and military campaign of Zaccariah Oddo of Ouroboria began creating the Kingdom of Tarot, bringing unity to an area intellectually fertile but politically divided. He did so by taking advantage of the growing interest and advancements around alchemy in the region, using Eliphas Ensatti’s “Four Elemental Principles” as both a religious reform and to give his growing court an aura of wisdom needed to cement his authority. However, with that reformative push also came growing restrictions in the matters and ways one could research: with the final unification in 2.521 ABE and the formation of the four kingdoms, the study of alchemy began becoming a more academic matter, which left many alchemists frustrated with the current state of affairs. In general, the near majority of these groups accepted the new measures, both as a way to ingratiate themselves with the new tarotian authorities and to avoid becoming an outcast. Those few who did not accepted the rules were often ridiculed or discriminated against, with many of them ending up as rogue alchemists and having to hide in the criminal underworld.
>>
>>91507244
However, out of all the groups that appeared at the edges of the tarotian alchemical society, there was a particular group that gained a special mockery and scorn from the population: the scatomancers. There is a debate whether the movement was already growing before the unification of the kingdom or if it began as a way to protest the more restrictive rules to alchemical studies, but whatever the case, it began picking up steam about right about this time. At first, it was seen as a joke, and thus was initially left alone by the tarotian authorities. However, while it never truly gained influence within the highest alchemical circles of the kingdom, it began gaining a following within certain groups, especially within the Kingdom of Coins, and even some alchemists of certain repute flocked to the scatomancers. Examples such as Org Ymer, an alchemist well known for his effective and innovative alchemical concoctions, explained in the Ymir’s Manuscripts, joining the scatomancers, resulted in both the public and the authorities growing more and more weary of these radical alchemists, and thus the persecution against them grew.
>>
>>91507259
However, despite this growing pressure, the scatomancers’ followers continued increasing, many of them coming from the ranks of the down, the downtrodden and those alchemists secluded in rural areas. This resulted in the “Scandal of Orianus”, where many scatomancers, following the works of alchemist and philosopher Orianus, took his description of the starting material of the Philosopher’s Stone (“of cheap price and found everywhere” and “trodden underfoot.”) literally, using the manure found all over their streets in public alchemical events.
In the year 2.551, the Great Hierophant of Ouroboria called to his court the most well known of the scatomancers, and in a public court, fully condemned the scatomancers and their teachings as contrary to the health of the Kingdom of Tarot and to the alchemical discipline in general. He then condemned all those who practiced scatomancy to exile outside of the kingdom, but also offered them a pardon if they publicly rejected their scatomantic beliefs. When none of the present scatomancers rejected their beliefs, the Great Hierophant proclaimed “He who seeks the philosophers’ secret in shit will waste his money, time, and labor on it.", effectively beginning the event named by the scatomancers as the Stink-Schism. While some did accept the High Hierophant’s offer and rejected scatomancy, the great majority chose to leave the kingdom forever.
>>
>>91507280
They embarked on a long journey to the east, finally finding the perfect conditions for the efficient execution of their alchemical science on the outskirts of the kingdom of Grobianismus. They were led on their journey by Heinrich the Tainted, a tall, gaunt man in a dirty robe and a ridiculously high pointed hat. The natural characteristics of the area around Grobianismus constituted almost utopian conditions for the outcast alchemists. Nobody wrinkled their noses when they walked around in their brown pointed-hatted robes to collect ingredients, as the lands of Grobianismus had resulted corrupted and twisted by the Curse of Uun, and a sighting such as the scatomancer was if anything a glimpse of reason and civilization. The already excrement-strewn streets of Grobianism were the perfect source of their valuable stinking resource, and the alchemists quickly forged a pact with the nobles of the Grobian family that still stands to this day, to receive seven carriages of excrement each week in exchange for magical protection from evil.
>>
>>91507294
The Scatomancers finally settled down in the southern lands of Grobianismus, where they founded both the nation of Scatoley and the Circle of Scatological Wizards, or Circle of Scatomancers. To distinguish themselves from the hated Alchemists of the Tarot, who dared to banish them, they dropped the designation "alchemists" forever and from that day on demanded to be called The Circle of Scatomancers. They also chose their own spiritual leader in spiteful imitation of the Hierophant of the Tarot Kingdom. The choice fell on Heinrich the Tainted. They gave him the title of Miasmic Pope and Heinrich the tainted became Heinlauf the First.
>>
The one problem is the dates, as if Heinlauf the First is still the ruler of the Scatomancers, as per lore, he must be considerably older than 333 years, as the article mentions.

Decided to ask here, because these threads tend to be a wealth of odd knowledge for stuff sometimes (and making a new thread for it seems pointless): Does anyone know anything about construction? Specifically how buildings are usually structured when it comes to rooms versus building shape and maybe involving multiple levels? I wanted to make a tavern map recently and sat down to do so, I made one I thought looked pretty okay and then realized I have no fucking idea how architecture works and the building was just a box with sectioned off little rooms in it. Which is probably fine, don't get me wrong, but sometimes there are people more autistic than I am in these threads who are willing to dump tons of trade knowledge when it comes to this sort of stuff, so I was wondering if there was anyone who knew more about this sort of stuff. Picrel isn't the exact map, but it's similar, just a box with weird rooms and windows.

I've been in these threads before when fucking geologists show up and explain stuff like ore distribution or people will show up and explain stuff like how rivers and lakes form and how rain moves across environments. So I'm hopeful there's at least someone out there who knows a bit more than me about houses.

Not sure about the subject, but have you tried checking drawings of current bars/restaurants? You can use one of those, add a set of stairs to a basement used as a warehouse/cellar, and a set going upstairs for the rooms for adventurers to rent.
>>
>>91512439
medieval type taverns were usually built with very thick structural beams, so they don't necessarily need support pillars in the middle of the floor plate

if you do put some pillars in though, they should line up with the beam above them

also maybe add something to the second floor showing where the chimney for the fireplace on the first floor comes up
>>
>>91514305
I did that on the more complex map I did, yeah. A fireplace chimney AND a second one behind the bar where an oven is.
