So far we're still going well. The bestiary is pretty much done as well, only a few details to sort out. We could move on to either the other lists or to complete some of the lore stuff. More maps would be neat.

By the way, what exactly could we write about the seas?

Currents, customs, legends?

>Moose Giraffe
Moose Giraffes are a species of mammal that live in the Zulutaur Steppes. Closely related to reindeers, they have evolved to follow a similar survival strategy to the giraffe. Their legs and neck have grown considerably, reaching the 4.5 meters of height, seeking to eat the tallest leaves from the trees. However, unlike giraffes, they also grow a massive pair of antlers, almost a meter long of pure bone. Even though they are deceptively light, moose giraffes still need a powerful neck to keep their heads from collapsing, granting them the most powerful horn strike in the entire steppes. They are solitary creatures, preferring to live nearby herds from other species rather than their own. The mating fights between moose giraffes are some of the most violent spectacles in the entire animal kingdom, with head clashes that can cause shards of antlers fly into the air at the speed of a cannonball.
>>
Also, I imagine Mooslephants and Moss Mammoth are probably the same thing, so I'm taking down the former to avoid redundancies if noone has any problem with this.
>>
=== Mole Toad ===
Mole Toads are a species of amphibians living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. A creature the size of a human head, they are incredibly bloated, with their bodies covered in warts and chemical glands, giving the impression they are about to burst at any moment. Mole toads segregate an incredibly nasty poison that, while not lethal, causes such a disgusting taste if they are bitten than any would be predator will immediately release. This aftertaste does not disappear after drinking or with time, instead, the chemicals end up mixing in their mouths, becoming a permanent flavor that no one can ever get used to. Because of this, they are mostly left alone as adults, though their tadpoles are one of the lowest parts of the region’s food chain, releasing millions into the swamps for only a handful to survive.

Herbary next?
>>
>>90247952
Sure, but first we have to fill it with 100 or more entries, and them make a description for them. Right now I'm giving the finishing touches to the bestiary, as we still have around 15 critters with either no description or some point of discussion.

Also, if we are going to add more plants, we could probably use more banana-themed stuff, as it was mentioned heavily since the early threads.
>>
>>90248009
>we could probably use more banana-themed stuff
Yeah maybe we shouldn't. It feels like meme and a pretty unfunny one too

But it was a staple from day one. If it runs the risk of turning into a bad meme, we probably should try to make the writing more serious to avoid that, or giving them actual purposes and reasons to exist. We do not need that many more, though. We have four or five banana-related entries in the herbarium as it is. One or two more and it would be enough.

Not really. It was largely abandoned from the beginning

the species of gromplos in grundiddy-i have long been at war with the nomadic kopwunrias for over a thousand years occasionaly pushing them back or having their land conquered by them only to recover the land or for the kopwunrias to return to attack again reconquering the same land over and over, eternal rivals constantly weakening eachother dedicating all their resources and manpower with their never ending rivalry, according to legend the Gromplos and Kopwunrias once ruled all the landmasses and nations as the most populous races in the world with their eternal conflict confining these feuding races to the most uninhabitable part of the world, in the last few centuries Kopwunrias have gained control of the mountains around the desert from the Grundiddy-i-Gromplos and thusly have had diaspora as mercenaries and laborers in many other nations, the Kopwunrias have a bizarre obsession totally dedicated to destroying the Gromplos, erasing them from history and all traces that the Gromplos ever existed, the Kopwunrias are haughty, hateful and dim brutes, they take the legend of them once owning the entire world literally and thusly their aforementioned diaspora of laborers and mercenaries annoy the nations hosting them by taking credit for all the nation and races therein acheivements as their own claiming every race and creature they encounter learned everything they have from them.

We have been writing stuff for more than a year, there are few things left that trully need expanding, plus the amount of lore is quite intimidating for newcomers. It is normal that things are slowing down. Still, we still have a lot of room to expand, as seen >>90243747. Once we have everything more or less in order, we should probably try to summarize everything in about 1000 pages or less (and if that looks like a lot, the history of the world alone is more than 80, so there's a ton of lore to go through). Either way, I'm happy to have contributed to this project with you all.

>Death Divers
Death Divers are a species of bird living in many areas of southern Giantstep. They are a type of vulture, characterized by their shinning dark blue feathers and pinkish skin around their head. They have 6 meters of wingspan, and weight about 50 kg. While they are mainly scavengers, as are other vultures, they have developed a particularly noteworthy method of hunting. Once they spot a suitable prey from the sky, they will fly as upwards as possible, and then freefall into them, stopping just enough to hit them with their reinforced claws and beak, while keeping themselves from slamming into the ground. Their bones are surprisingly resilient for a bird of that side, making them much more capable of enduring blunt trauma. This method of hunting has made them quite a nightmare for herders all around the south of Giantstep, and thus they are hunted down by them when they have the chance.
>>
>Scurrowers
Scurrowers are a species of crustacean living in the shores of Scimitarian. They are 40cm of length, similar in shape to horseshoe crabs, but with much longer legs. Instead of shedding their carapaces, they shed the skin of their legs, often at different speeds. This makes them often walk at a strange pace, looking like they are scurrying around the beaches. To protect themselves from predators, they join together with another scurrower, grabbing each other’s legs and forming a ball. Once there, they are very difficult to forcefully separate.

. The Scatological Wizards of Excretium is a group that brings together the whimsical and sometimes gross world of magic with a touch of potty humor. In this imaginative realm, these wizards have mastered the art of spells and enchantments that revolve around bodily functions and excrement.

Picture them as mischievous sorcerers who use their magical prowess to create humorous and unconventional spells. From turning ordinary objects into comical toilet-themed items to casting spells that produce unexpected and amusing bodily noises, the Scatological Wizards of Excretium are all about embracing the sillier side of magic. Their spells might not be the most sophisticated or elegant, but they certainly bring a lot of laughter and amusement to their magical endeavors.

It's important to note that this is purely a fictional concept and not based on any real magical practices. The idea behind the Scatological Wizards of Excretium is to explore the humorous and lighthearted aspects of magic, adding a touch of playfulness to the mystical world of wizards. So, if you ever come across any stories or jokes about these fictional wizards, just remember to enjoy the humor and not take it too seriously!

>Little Leviathan
Little Leviathan are a species of mollusk living in the southern oceans of the world. A lumbering giant, little leviathans are closely related to nautiluses, with a massive shell full of spikes protecting them from predators. They can grow up to 7 meters of diameter, with their mouth tentacles reaching almost 10 meters. They feed off both algae, plankton, krill and any fish that get close enough to them, as they move along the currents to save energy. Due to their passive movement, entire ecosystems can grow on their shells, which end up attracting more food for the creature. Little leviathans are preyed upon by some of the other great beasts of the ocean, but only those with a bite powerful enough to crack their resilient skull can actually take them down. Southern towns consider finding a beached little leviathan shell to be an omen of good fortune, and they are often used as part of the local decorations by the authorities.

>War whales
War whales are a species of marine mammals living in the northern seas of the world. They are creatures similar in size and shape to sperm whales, albeit somewhat smaller. However, they are quite feared by both the sea life and sailors alike, as they are quite aggressive. The males can reach about 13 meters from tail to head, which not only has a similar squared shape as sperm whales, but they also have a massive spiral horn on the front of them. This makes their echolocation incredibly long-ranged and precise, capable of travelling miles upon miles to find a suitable target, and it can also be used as a weapon against other sea monsters. It is not uncommon to find massive beached creatures in the shores, having been impaled by a massive horn. These horns regrow quickly when lost, growing back to their maximum size of three meters in one year. And if they cannot use their horn, they can use their overgrown jaws, with teeth the size of a human head, capable of crunching other sea lifeforms into nothing. Not only that, but they are incredibly intelligent, and have been seen ambushing or even feigning death to attract other sea predators. They also attack ships, though they do not see them as food sources, only as sport, jumping into the air and creating massive waves that hit the vessel. Kentgorodians love to hunt these creatures, being some of the most challenging prey they can find on the north, and the war whales in turn, will fight to the death against the kentgorodian hunting vessels, preferring to die fighting rather than fleeing.
>>
>Trash Titan
Trash Titans are a species of fey animal living in the Great Garbage Patch. They are believed have been born through naturally occurring magic, concentrating some of the more strange and volatile refuses and junks from the Garbage Patch and turning them in organisms of sorts. About three meters tall, they are lumbering creatures, having many tentacles and hands sprouting from an oval nucleus. They search every possible nook and cranny in the garbage for anything organic, and sometimes even other particular garbage they use to build their own body. They would be considered as artificial constructs if not for the fact they reproduce, laying eggs in some of the tallest parts of the Garbage Patch. They are believed to be blind and deaf, moving alone exclusively through touch. Their bodies are made up of a variety of different materials, including wood, metal, and cloth, and they are capable of crushing smaller creatures with a single stomp of their foot. Scavengers hunt them due to their bodies containing rare loot and materials.

>Scourge of the Seven Seas
Scourge of the Seven Seas are a species of cnidarian living in most of the world’s seas. These creatures look like the biggest jellyfish in the world, with their bells measuring up to ten meters of diameter and tentacles that can be almost 30 meters long. However, they are, in fact, colonial organisms, a plethora of different cnidarians and other organisms living together to catch as many fishes and other prey as possible. Each individual organism is in charge of a certain vital function, making sure the colony survives their long voyages through the seas. They even grow special sails if they feel their current area is not enough to sustain them, using the wind to propel themselves towards other hunting grounds. During storms, it is frequent to see these colonies broken in multiple sections, but as long as each one can hold enough parts of the whole, it will survive.
>>
>Bog Mudskippers
Bog Mudskippers are a species of fish living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. They are small, greyish fish, who have developed the ability to jump into the air and outside of the waters to protect themselves from harm. This has evolved into being able to survive on land for long periods of time, hunting for worms and bugs in the muddy shores of the lakes and rivers of the region. They move around in big schools, and when one of them jump, the others instinctively do so as well, creating authentic walls of fish if the school is big enough.

>Giant Swamp Pikes
Giant Swamp Pikes are a species of fish living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. A fish of about a meter and a half of length, their tongue is covered in abrasive spikes, capable of grinding down any prey they manage to keep a hold of with their teeth. These spikes are used by many inhabitants of the swamps to create tools, often with the purpose of treating skin or fur to produce clothing. However, this tongue actually makes them hard to catch by angling, as they tend to break the lines. They have to be caught using harpoons, which makes their hunt quite a tedious process, considering the low visibility of the murky swamp waters.

I made it up. I couldn't find any description in the threads or the wiki, and I didn't want them as "just a normal pike fish", because what's the point of adding them to the bestiary then? Plus, we could use some sources for items.

If we are counting them in the bestiary, they ought to have either some particular characteristic or some special importance for the region. Otherwise they shouldn't be in the bestiary. >Giant Swamp Pikes
Giant Swamp Pikes are a species of fish living in the swamps of the Bog Witch. A creature that can reach 5 meters of length, they only live in some of the deepest and darkest lakes in the region. Because of their size, few of them actually reach full size, but those who do are worshiped by the mirewenches. They will bring food to them, keep an eye on their eggs and offer them help if they ever become sick. The mirewenches, in turn, can use their command over fish to make the giant swamp pikes do their bidding. Because of their powerful strength, other inhabitants of the swamp hunt them down, in case of them depleting the waters from other fishes, but they have to be careful of the fury of the mirewenches afterwards.

Ok, since I cannot find the frghaa'l bats, I'm coming up with something. If someone actually finds the bit, please point it out and we'll change it.

>Frghaa'l Bats
Frghaa'l Bats are a species of mammal living in the Siuverland Archipelago. They are a diminutive species of bat, with a wingspan smaller than a human hand when fully grown. Frghaa’l bats are unique in that they build nests out of leafs, being considered a pest by the farmers, as they tend to cripple some crops before they grow to a certain size. Despite this, the local priesthood forbids their hunt, as they believe they are highly adept at detecting demonic blood. Their heightened sense of smell makes them detect altered blood such as that from demonic heritage. If a frghaa’l bats smells blood and begins to freak out, the siuverlander authority will keep an eye on them for the rest of their life. However, frghaa’l bats may just become frightened due to the presence of many people, and thus will condemn a healthy individual to constant scrutiny for the rest of their life.

>Emerald Islands' Venomous Viper
Emerald Islands Vipers are a species of reptile that live in the Cocoon Islands. They are about 1.5 meters long, and have a very muted coloration, a point between dark green, brown or grey. These vipers feed off birds and small mammals, but they cannot generate their poison of their own. Instead, they eat venom vines and death lotus, processing their venom in a special organ they have above the stomach, which then can use to incapacitate their victims. The wizards studying the island have learned to use these organs to produce some powerful antivenoms for a wide variety of toxics, as the vipers can apparently generate poisons with most venomous substances and yet not fall prey to their deadly effects.

>Lightning Mushroom
Lightning mushrooms are a species of fungii originated from the Terrania Freeholds. They are a small and round shroom, with a cap cylindrical in shape. It tends to grow very deep mycelium, which allows it to grow even in areas of high competition. Like many of the flora in the Terrania Freeholds, lightning mushrooms are luminescent, but unlike the other plants and fungi, they are only luminescent when exposed to blunt trauma. Some experts believe this is a defense mechanism, trying to protect itself from either being squashed or uprooted, but whatever the reason, the result is an explosive flash of light. This flash is more powerful the older the lightning mushroom is, ranging from merely a spark to a flare that can blind people. Drunig merchants have spread the growth of this fungi throughout all the kingdom, as it is a surprisingly effective deterrent against dangerous wildlife. Uses for lightning mushrooms as weapons of war are still being studied.

>Spotted Pine
Spotted pines are a species of tree originated in the continent of Zemyland. They can grow up to 20 meters high, but most of them never pass the 10 meters. Their name comes from the coloration of their bark, which frequently sports grey spots all over. Spotted pines generate a very dense sap that is incredibly effective at protecting the tree from the frostbite, making spotted pines capable of growing in very cold areas so long as the ground does not freeze. This sap can be turned into a very effective fuel, and many in Zemyland often use it to heat their homes, mixing it with dry wood and lighting it up in their fireplace. The density of the sap also makes it quite dangerous as a weapon, as it makes fire more difficult to extinguish.

>Red Cactus
Red Cacti are a species of plant that live in the Dirihadarir Desert and some nearby areas. They grow up to half a meter long, and have a somewhat spherical shape, with protrusions at the sides. They have a deep red coloration, which becomes lighter once the plant’s flowers start blossoming. Red cacti are one of the spiciest plants in the world, as just a bit of grinded powder from the cacti can cause blisters inside their mouth. The dirihadarir raiders have used Red Cactus’ dust in their arrows, as the wounds they can cause, even when grazing, causes such pain that fully debilitate the target. However, wounds caused by red cacti are easily cleaned up by fresh water, instantly dissipating the chemicals that cause the burning sensation.

>Great Mantrap Plant
Great Mantrap Plants are a species of plant that grows in the Eldritch Jungle. They are a small trees, with a trunk about half a meter long, but with branches that can reach up to two meters. From these branches, they grow massive flowers in the shape of mouths, full of spikes and poison glands. These flowers are big enough to completely grab a small man, and anything smaller will become crushed by the closing flower, as they have an incredible closing force. These flowers camouflage themselves by allowing vines and other plants near them, hiding the plant until it is too late. Once the plant manages to grab some animal, the flower spews acidic substances that liquefy the target, feeding the mantrap plant and the vegetation nearby, helping it grow and hide it even better. The mantrap plant can feed itself as a regular plant if it does not catch victims for a long time, but it only produces seeds during digestion of animal matter.

>Great Indigo
Great Indigo is a species of plant growing in many areas of the south of Giantstep. Great Indigo grows up to a meter tall, and are complete covered in conical flowers. These flowers can have a wide variety of colors, which often depend of the conditions they have grown under, becoming bluer the healthier they are. Great Indigo is one of the many plants that the zidazzi grow for their honey, with miles and miles of great indigo covering the old lands of the zidazzi. Great Indigo is capable of producing great quantities for nectar, and it grows with relatively ease, not needing much in terms of resources to keep around. However, since the takeover of their lands by the badgassi, many great indigo fields have fallen into disarray or have been uprooted to be replaced by other crops. And due to the Great Indigo’s problems when growing at higher altitudes, the zidazzi’s access to the plant is much more limited now.

May I introduce you to a neat little thing I cooked up-
A Death March!

Death March is what occurs when a necromancer of great power loses attempts and fails to become a lich, their mind and allows his body to become a conduit to necromantic energies that make them an addict and a thrall to the need to create more undead. The Death March starts as a Death Mass, where the now enthralled necromancer using their minions or their own might kills every living being in an area and then moves on, the bodies of the slain rising to serve the necromancer.
If you slay the necromancer, the Death March marches on, heh, as the necromantic energies allow the necromancer's disfigured spirit to possess another corpse.

Category- a slowly snowballing apocalypse!

I don't think that's how lichdom or necromancy works.

https://crumbling-giantstep.fandom.com/wiki/Necromancy?so=search

>Death March is what occurs when a necromancer of great power loses attempts and fails to become a lich, their mind and allows his body to become a conduit to necromantic energies that make them an addict and a thrall to the need to create more undead.

According to the Necromancy article:
>The process of lichdom is highly dangerous, as it needs a great deal of sacrifices over a long period of time to achieve, and even then the limitations on the necromancers’ own powers can make them fail regardless. And even then, most liches are only what is considered an “unperfect lich”. These unperfect liches need to create “phylacteries”, items that anchor their soul to the mortal realm and feed upon the natural energies of the world. Its needs for energy are very low, and if properly created, they do not need any further sacrifices.

Why would the failure to achieve lichdom generate the need to spawn more undead? Wouldn't it waste the very energies the necromancer needs to become uplifted into a lich?

>Orontian Mountain Berrybush
Orontian Mountain Berrybushes are a species of plant living in the mountains of Oront and nearby areas. These are small bushes, often growing in the crevices of the mountain, with very powerful roots that can go through the hard stone of the mountainside. They produce the orontian strawberries, a dark purple fruit that can be used to produce the famous orontian sweet wine. This sweet wine is taken during celebrations in Oront, and is exported to the rest of the Azan Empire. Orontian Mountain Berrybushes are also perfect to grow in flowerpots, and many families keep multiple of these plants in their homes, to produce their own supply or berries or wine. However, they have to be careful with the pots, as the powerful roots of the plant can easily go through ceramics if allowed to.

Lyrical Bambu is a species of plant that grows in areas of Changrila and the Great Peninsula of Cemak I. These plants consist of woody ringed stems, which can grow up to 3-4 meters when fully developed, and with a diameter of about 10-30 cm. Their insides are hollow, and the plant is covered by small holes of different sides, often in a straight line from the bottom up, with a bigger hole at the top, which are closed during most of the time but autumn. During the flowering season, they will grow seeds inside of these hollow spaces, which are minuscule and are covered and covered by a feathery pappus similar to dandelion seeds. The strong winds in autumn fill goes within the plant, expelling the seeds into the air from the upper hole, helping the plant spread quite a lot. It also causes quite a distinctive noise, as if it was a wind instrument. It is very common for forests to become inundated by noise during these periods. The locals in the area have used these plants to create flutes and some other musical instruments out of their wood.

>Laughing Turnip
Laughing Turnips are a species of plant that grows in areas in the south of the Zulutaur Steppes. These plants are about 20 cm of size, most of which is taken by the tall leaves, while the bulbous nucleus remains underground. Laughing Turnips can cause a very strong reaction in those who ingest it. If one eats it directly without treating it first, it will cause uncontrollable fits of laughter, ranging from laughing from minutes to being unable to stop laughing and dying of either a heart attack or asphyxiated. The local populations have learned to cook it to minimize their effects, making it a less powerful but much safer antidepressant. Despite all attempts to cultivate it, the plant is seemingly only grows in the wild, making some believe the plant is divine in nature, though which god protects them is unknown.

>Grundle Daddy
The Grundle Daddy is a formidable and enigmatic creature that inhabits the shadowy depths of primeval forests. Its appearance is a nightmarish blend of the grotesque and the majestic. Standing at an imposing height of up to 12 feet, the Grundle Daddy possesses a hulking, humanoid physique. Its skin is a mottled, dark green, resembling the gnarled bark of ancient trees, and is covered in a thick layer of moss and lichen, providing it with natural camouflage among the trees.

The creature's head is adorned with twisted, branching antlers that seem to merge seamlessly with its skull, making it look like a living extension of the forest itself. Its eyes are large, luminescent orbs that emit an eerie, otherworldly glow in the darkness, giving the Grundle Daddy an almost spectral presence. Jagged, thorn-like teeth jut out from its gaping maw, hinting at its carnivorous nature.
Grundle Daddies are reclusive beings that make their homes in the heart of ancient, untouched woodlands. These primeval forests, untouched by human interference, provide the ideal environment for the Grundle Daddy to thrive. They prefer areas shrouded in perpetual twilight, where the dense canopy filters out most sunlight, creating an atmosphere of perpetual gloom.

>Gr'uh'dee-dee-ay
The Gr'uh'dee-dee-ay, a botanical marvel of the deepest rainforests in the uncharted regions of the Sylvarian Abyss, is a plant of extraordinary mystique and danger. This elusive species is a true enigma, shrouded in tales of both wonder and peril. Standing at an imposing height of up to 2 meters, the Gr'uh'dee-dee-ay exhibits a towering presence in the lush, primeval landscape it calls home. Its elongated, willow-like leaves cascade gracefully from a central stem, creating a dense, verdant canopy. Beneath the surface, its roots extend deep into the earth, anchoring it firmly in the ground.

>Coperunway
The Coperunway, a botanical wonder native to the sun-drenched shores of the Azyron Archipelago, is a plant that mesmerizes with its unique characteristics and elusive nature. It shares a remarkable kinship with the Laughing Turnip and Gr'uh'dee-dee-ay, embodying the mystique and wonder of the natural world. Coperunways find their home nestled within the golden sands of the Azyron's pristine beaches, where they flourish in the maritime climate. Their slender, silvery-green fronds sway gracefully in the ocean breeze, a sight to behold against the backdrop of azure waters and sandy shores. Standing at a modest height of around 30 centimeters, the Coperunway boasts an elegant yet unassuming presence. Its long, blade-like leaves shimmer with a metallic luster, resembling polished copper. These leaves are its defining feature, capturing the essence of sunlight and seemingly glowing with an inner radiance. The Coperunway is as renowned for its ethereal beauty as for its unique properties. When carefully harvested and processed, the plant's leaves yield a remarkable extract known as "Copper Euphoria." This potent substance has the ability to induce a profound sense of tranquility and contentment when consumed, akin to basking in the serenity of the island's shores at sunset. However, much like the Laughing Turnip and Gr'uh'dee-dee-ay, the unprocessed Coperunway leaves can be fraught with risks. Ingesting them directly can lead to unpredictable euphoric episodes, varying from mild sensations of joy to overwhelming emotional experiences. Some caution that consuming the leaves without proper preparation may also lead to emotional swings and heightened vulnerability. Despite efforts to cultivate the Coperunway beyond its native habitat, the plant remains elusive in its willingness to thrive elsewhere. This apparent aversion to domestication has given rise to local legends, with some suggesting that the plant's origins are steeped in divine protection.

>Pride of Grundiddy-i
The Pride of Grundiddy-i is a plant found flourishing in the fertile soils of the coastal regions of Zemyland. What sets this botanical wonder apart is its remarkable symbiotic relationship with the Spotted Pine, a distinctive tree native to the same region. The Pride of Grundiddy-i, a plant of modest stature, reaches a height of approximately 30 centimeters. Its appearance is marked by slender, emerald-green leaves that fan out in a symmetrical rosette pattern from its central stem. Each leaf bears a prominent, shimmering silver stripe running down its center, evoking the image of glistening waves on the ocean's surface. This botanical marvel is deeply entwined with the life of the Spotted Pine, one of Zemyland's iconic trees. Spotted Pines, characterized by their distinctive gray-speckled bark, offer protection to the Pride of Grundiddy-i, particularly during the harsh winter months. The Spotted Pine's dense sap, renowned for its frostbite resistance, acts as a natural insulating shield, shielding the Pride of Grundiddy-i from the biting cold. In return, the Pride of Grundiddy-i serves as a guardian of sorts for the Spotted Pine, helping to maintain the health of the tree by assisting in the prevention of fungal infections that can sometimes plague the Spotted Pine's bark.In the culture of Zemyland, the Pride of Grundiddy-i and the Spotted Pine are celebrated as symbols of symbiotic relationships and harmony with nature. They are often incorporated into local ceremonies and rituals as a testament to the interconnectedness of all living things. Beyond their ecological partnership, the Pride of Grundiddy-i and the Spotted Pine also offer practical benefits to the people of Zemyland. The sap of the Spotted Pine, renowned for its dense, slow-burning nature, serves as a vital source of fuel for heating homes during the cold winters. It is often mixed with dry wood and kindled in fireplaces, providing both warmth and comfort to households.

>Aloe Trap
Aloe Traps are a species of plants originated from the Dirihadarir Desert and now growing in many parts of the world due to trade. Aloe Traps have little to no stem, with the biggest portion of their bodies taken by their roots and their leaves, measuring in total up to a meter. The leaves themselves are hard and fleshy, full of sap that the plant has accumulated from the rare rains or the underground waters in the area. To protect it from being eaten by bigger animals, it has a wide variety of thorns, making it quite painful to bite and chew. At the center of the plant it has a trap in the shape of a flower, which often attracts flying birds or insects. This trap lures them into the flower, which is much less protected than the rest of the plant, so the animals can eat it and drink from it, but in return, they are covered in seeds, which they will disperse throughout the desert once they leave. Aloe Traps are used for their sap, as one can manufacture a very good lotion to heal burns and frostbites with it.

>Fire Rose
Fire roses are a species of plant originated from the Kingdom of Tarot. Fire Roses are floral bushes, growing woody stems of a crimson red, covered all around by orange spikes. Their flowers are similar in structure to other roses, but much bigger, and often with double the amount of petals total. These roses exude a certain radiant heat, hence the name, and they can grow in surprisingly cold climates. Their origins are believed to be alchemical, as legends tell that this flower was created by an alchemist that wanted to declare his love for a woman he fancied. Wanting to craft the most beautiful flower around, he created fire roses, which ended up growing out of control, and now appear in many forests of the Kingdom of Tarot, having supplanted many other climbing plants in the region. Fire roses are an invasive species, and farmers tend to fight their spread, as it can choke the roots of some fruit trees vital to their harvest. It is also very resistant to fire and heat, and as such, those trying to stop their spread need to chop them up and uproot them instead.
>>
>Longroot Dark Grass
Longroot Dark Grass is a species of plant typical from the Snoloth Country. The deadly chemicals and vapors in the region forces any plant life in the area to be extraordinarily resistant to poisons, and longroot dark grass certainly is. Its leaves grow in many crevices and wet areas of the region, often no more than 10-20 cm above the surface. However, this plant can develop a massive underground root system, going meters and meters into the depths, seeking any possible water that is not polluted. The leaves have become a coal black, which sometimes becomes light purple depending on the amount of deadly chemicals it storages in it. Longroot dark grass is essential for the local ecosystem, as it is one of the few plants that can survive in there. No herbivore or omnivore lives there that cannot consume the longroot dark grass, being a fundamental part of the diet of dozens of species, snoloths included. However, the sheer concentration of toxins means that it is also a very powerful poison, though due to their virulence, it is not a subtle toxic. It can also become invasive very quickly, as its organism grows quite fast in the absence of toxins. If planted somewhere else, its growth will go into overdrive, and quickly occupy many areas, which often include buildings. Its deep roots can also choke all plant life in the region, with very few plants capable to survive it. It is to the point that magical and alchemical solutions are needed to fix a longroot dark grass infestation. However, it is very vulnerable to parasites, as it has no inherent defenses against it, since there are no parasite organisms in the Snoloth Country.

>Floating Mushroom
Floating Mushrooms are a species of fungus that lives in the Terrania Freeholds. These mushrooms are about half a meter in length, with a cap about 2.5 meters in diameter. Below this cap, the mushroom grows a series of sacks, which they fill over time with a gas lighter than air. This process speeds up during their reproduction, managing to become so light they float in the air, and once in the air, they release a cloud of spores into the jungle. The mushroom will spend all its energy producing these spores, consuming itself in the process, and once it cannot do it anymore, it falls to the floor lifeless. Like many of the organisms in the Terrania Freeholds, these mushrooms are bioluminescent, and combined with their ability to float, they can fill the night sky with brilliant lights.

>Rumbling Pine Tree
Rumbling Pine Trees are a species of plant typical of the island of Stór Kartöflu. A species of pine that can reach 20 meters of height, these are quite resilient both against the cold and the heat, often preferring to grow in areas of higher altitude. They produce pine cones that have a massive proportion of natural alcohol within them, to the point they are highly flammable. It is not uncommon to see rumbling pine trees quickly catch fire after a rainstorm, spreading as far as the pines reach, and taking down anything within them. This works great for the pine trees, as their bark is incredibly resistant to fire, and tend to survive in one way or another, having eliminated their competition and created a fertile soil to help them recover. Indeed, vessels and houses made out of rumbling pine tree are notoriously immune to the flames, and as such it is quite appreciated by many populations. Obtaining wood from rumbling pine trees was near impossible due to the presence of the horned ogres, but now that it is part of the Avangar Empire, it is much easier to obtain. The growing elyrian fleet is using these trees to produce their war vessels, making them quite resistant to burning weapons. Nowadays, other nations have managed to take hold of living rumbling pine trees, and are trying to grow them in certain areas to obtain this special wood, but developments are slow in this. The rumbling pine trees are also used by the horned ogres to produce a type of liquor known for its smoothness, which is highly appreciated in all of Avangar.

>Faarowtian Tree
Faarowtian Trees are a species of trees living in the forests of Faarowt. Faarowtian trees are an intermediate point between an oak and a maple tree. They are able to grow between 5-15 meters tall, with a thick trunk and roots that cover a wide area from their position. They need a lot of water, and thus often grow near the Sun Payus river and other sources of water in the region. Faarowtian trees are most well known due to their rainbow coloration, which makes their leaves adopt a wide array of colors. The purposes for this are not well understood, but some believe the chemicals in the leaves used to grant them protection against a now extinct parasite. Nevertheless, the chemicals in the leaves have a mix of chemicals that cause in human-sized creatures hallucinogenic effects, though only if eaten in high quantities. These chemicals can be dangerous for beings about the size of fairies, causing seizures and even comma. Due to their frequent shedding, all of these chemicals end up falling into the water, giving it the well known properties of the river.

>Yellow Whip
Yellow Whips are a species of sea plant growing near the coral reefs of western Scimitarian. While similar to corals, these underwater plants are a kind of fibrous algae, growing up to five meters tall. From a very small trunk sprout hundreds of yellow vines, growing in a helix pattern. These algae leaves, when dried up, can be used for the creation of ropes, highly appreciated due to their flexibility, endurance and resistance to sea water. The sea elves from the north have learned to cultivate this plant, and often trade it with the drow to the south, as they rely on it for their navy.
>>
>Ehdesh’il Tree
Ehdesh’il Trees are a species of plant living in Scimitarian and the Scabbard Range mountains. A mix between a mangrove and a baobab, they have adapted to grow in some remote areas by sprouting long but resilient roots, which stay mostly outside of the ground. The trunk itself, while wide, is lighter and much thinner than that of other trees, but it is nevertheless quite resilient. Ehdesh’il trees have a very easy to control growth, being able to direct how thick branches or roots may become, or even fuse different tree trunks together to the point of becoming a massive wall of living wood. Some fey species in the past used to create buildings and fortifications by controlling the growth of the Ehdesh’il Trees’ roots, giving them shape until they acquire the desired result. This fortifications become authentic living forests, growing back any part of the structure that has been damaged. However, this technique has long been left obsolete, and not that many actually use it anymore, especially for defensive purposes. One of the few remaining examples of this architecture is the Esi Edhil fortress in the Terusia Isthmus.
>>
>Ear Mushroom
Ear Mushrooms are a species of fungus that grows in the lands of Kokaine. A strange type of mushroom, just like the rest of the entities living in the region, the ear mushrooms grows in the shape of ears. This is no mere coincidental shape, as their cap can grow even the most precise details of the ears of any sentient species’ ears. The species it mimics seems to be random, but nevertheless, the copy is of such an immaculate precision that some medics and surgeons have managed to implant these mushrooms into people who have lost their ears, ending up functioning just like the real thing. Ear mushrooms do not replicate the rest of the hearing system, though, so it cannot repair any damage to it. If an ear mushroom is left to grow for too long, however, it will begin to create noises that simulate speech. This is why the transplants can only occur under a very brief window of time, as if a fully mature ear mushroom is transplanted, the patient will end up hearing voices in their head non-stop, to the point of madness.
>>
>Underground Fungest Truffle
Underground Fungest Truffles are a species of mushroom originated from the underground lands of the Fungest. These truffles have a somewhat spherical shape, with a very rugged, cracked and irregular outer layer, but with a soft internal core. These truffles have been domesticated long ago by the dwarven holds in the Fungest, and are their main agricultural produce. They are grown in damp and wet caves, in which these mushrooms are grown in the tens of thousands, as they are used for both dwarven consumption, cattle feeding and for the production of truffle alcohol. Indeed, truffle beer is a well known beverage in the region, appreciated both by the dwarves and the human settlers in the area. Some have even seen mushroomites drinking it, often taking a pinch of bread and dipping it in the beer, then let their mycelium grow into the bit and absorb the alcohol.
>>
>Violet Star Cacti
Violet Star Cacti are a species of plant that lives in the Desert of the Weriest. While the plant is called cacti due to its similarities to those, most experts believe violet star cacti are actually a completely different plant, coming from wherever the star people arrived from. They can grow up to a meter long, often in segmented rings that contain multiple spikes in perfect symmetry with each other. These spikes twist and turn, creating near perfect swirls that grow upwards, somehow never crossing with each other. It is a plant that cannot grow on land, only in ceramic pots specifically made by the Star People. The methods they use to grow them are unknown, but we do know they take land from the desert and somewhat treat it to be compatible with the violet star cacti, and that they reproduce by creating buds from time to time. These buds need to be inserted into a local cacti or other plant, and then the star cacti will grow around it, parasitizing it until it is big enough to supplant it. Star people use it as one of their few sources of vegetal food, as star people are mostly carnivores. If eaten by any other individual, the plant will not grant them any kind of nutrition, and it will feel like they are eating paper.
