Should I continue generating the teenaged ogre with a greasy mullet and an asshole tighter than a vice?

I, for one, was heavily invested in CharGen for our Mullet Ogre with no anus
I wanted to see him go on great adventures!
>>
>>81977034
Yes. Let's see how far we can take this
>>
HEY! We were in the middle of something! We need to know the dick size and shape for the mullet ogre!
>>

I'm 100% sure we'll both catch bans for it, but yes I think you should. I was having a great time.

This thread is the closest we have for actual RPG content on /tg/ anyway.

By my calculations, this gives our ogre a final Manhood Length of 9.8 inches and a final Manhood Circumference of 5.7 inches. Bit of a pencil dick for an ogre, but oh well.

Finally, rare features. Unlike the previous features, the game admits that these ones are unlikely to be relevant to a game. Still, might as well determine his foot size, fist size, handedness and head circumference. I'll roll 1d100 for foot size, 1d100 for handedness, 1d100 for base head circumference, 1d100 for whether the base head circumference is decreased or increased and 1d100 for the hundredths of an inches that the base head circumference is modified by. That's 5d100 I'm rolling, then.
>>
>>81977074
Which is why I was baleeted, I assume.
Should've called this thread "FATAL General", then it would be allowed.
>>
>>81977014
So he found that dilator, I see, I see.
>>
>>81977076
So, 37 - 50 (for being a manlet) on the Foot Size roll makes the smallest possible foot size of 12-13".
44 on the Handedness roll makes him right-handed.
Base head circumference roll is 33, giving him a base head circumference of 33.5.
The check for whether this would be modified positively or negative gave us 51, so it'll be boosted.
And a final roll of 27 means that the base head circumference will be modified by 0.27, giving him a final head circumference of 33.77.

One moment before I continue, as we're moving on from the hilarious body features and on to actual gameplay mechanics next.

Okay, so, on to actually generating the stats of the character. Anal circumference and hair thickness and most repulsive traits are all much more importance, hence the game requiring us to resolve them first, but now we actually have to roll the sub-abilities.

There are twenty of them, and each requires a roll of (10d100/5)-1 - and then modifiers are applied, although I do not know in what order. I'll probably apply any percentage-based modifiers first, in order to avoid stats bloating too much. Each sub-ability will get its own post, though I might have to back-track every now and then in order to find all of the modifiers that have been generated so far. Bear with me.

I was talking about the order in which modifiers are applied, not the order in which sub-abilities are rolled. Applying a percentage and then adding a modifier is very different from adding a modifier and then applying a percentage, after all.
In which case, I'll go with my original ruling of percentages first, then addition/subtraction-based modifiers.
>>81977260
First of all, the Physique ability, starting with the Physical Fitness sub-ability.
Ogres are apparently not very fit and get a -18 to their Physical Fitness.
However, men are more physically fit that women and get a +5% to their Physical Fitness.
These modifiers will be applied after the initial roll of (10d100/5)-1.

So, for Physical Fitness, that's a 98, then multiplied by 1.05, then subtracting 18, which gives me 84 for Physical Fitness, once I discard the decimal. Considering that the average human is meant to have a 100 in everything, this means that our teenager is rather unfit, even compared to a human.

Next, Strength, which has a heap of modifiers. Let me see if I can get them all...
+30% from being male, since I'm applying percentages first.
+240 from being an ogre.
-30 from being a manlet.
-6 from being a skinny runt.
So that's +204, after the +30%. I don't think I missed any other Strength modifiers.

For Strength, that's 130. Multiply that by 1.3, that's 170. Add on the +204 modifier, that's a final result of 374 for our boy's Strength. He's probably not the strongest ogre out there, but humans basically can't compare to him. He's a fucking monster.

Following that is Bodily Attractiveness. Does our boy have a hot bod? Let's roll for it and find out.
Unfortunately, men have a lower Bodily Attractiveness than women and suffer -3%.
To make matters worse, ogres get a -20 modifier to Bodily Attractiveness.
And for being a manlet, he gets -5 Bodily Attractiveness, for a total negative modifier of -25.
I think that's all of the modifiers though. Thankfully, his four-inch pancake areola and two-inch-long nipples don't have an impact on his Bodily Attractiveness.

That's a 94. Multiply by 0.97, subtract 25 and remove any decimals and we get 66. Our boy has a gross body. Flabby adolescent man tits, stretch marks, body fat in all of the wrong places, you know it. Combine this with the greasy mullet, and I think we might have accidentally just rolled a redneck.

Finally, for the Physique ability, we've got Health. Far as I can tell, our character's race doesn't modify this, nor is it impacted by his gender. I'm actually sure that this is just a straight roll, which makes things a little easier for me. Though I would never called (10d100/5)-1 a straight roll in any other game.

Ogres get a -20 to Facial Charisma too.

The +4 from his luscious, greasy brown hair and the -4 from his thin lip (a sign of selfishness?) balance each other out, for a final modifier of -28 after the -3%.

Honestly, rolling a character in front of a public audience is a grand old time if you have the endurance for it. This can turn into such an absolute shitfest.
>>
>>81978607
That's a 96 on Intuition. High for an ogre, even if it scrapes under the human average.

An 85 on Common Sense. Honestly, we might have accidentally rolled one of the most cerebral ogres in the world.
>>81978655
And that's a 120 for Reflection. Truly, our boy is introspective.

The final outcome:

>Wisdom: 100
Drive: 102
Intuition: 96
Common Sense: 85
Reflection: 120

That's our boy's sub-abilities wrapped up. I'll post a few relevant figures from various charts, to help turn these numbers into something more meaningful, then I'll need a moment before we move on.
>>
>>81978694
The fact that it's been this many posts and the character's actual core stats aren't even finalized tells you all you need to know about FATAL. It's one thing for character creation to be extensive because it's a point-buy system or because you have a lot of options, but what's the point in having this many rolls just for the end result to be what so far is ultimately a very average ogre.
>>
>>81978745
Though the modifiers are so severe that a lot of his sub-abilities are subhuman, they're still much, much higher than the average ogre's.

Speaking of not worth the effort, he's excerpts from various charts, for an idea of what our boy would be capable of according to the system.

>>81979007
I mean Excel handles math formulas, so it's possible. But I'm not sure if some of the calculations can be processed in excel and if the RNG is actually random (if there is a RNG in excel). You could probably do it in Python or another language much easier than excel.

So, welcome to the alignment system of FATAL. Instead of law-chaos and good-evil, you've got ethics and morality. There's also a whole thing concerning faith and piety points, also known PP, which are very important to priests. I could make a joke about that, but that's low-hanging fruit. The point is, as an ogre, our boy's an atheist so that shit doesn't matter to him.

To determine his disposition, I require two rolls of 1d100. He'll get -50 to each roll, being an ogre, so his only chance of not being a sociopath is really high rolls.

Due to being an ogre, our boy will naturally get -25 to Sanguine, +25 to Choleric and +25 to Phlegmatic. Due to being male, he will get a further -2 to Sanguine and a further +2 to Choleric.

Give me your rolls.

Funny how FATAL uses the German word for children eater for one of the Ogre types.

I never played the game and picked this up by looking at the listing it looks like the guy who made it literally made the game full of this kind of knowledge.

So, he's totally Choleric-Phlegmatic.

I would go deeper but I need to sleep before work tomorrow as a yuropoor, and I've barely made a dent in the book. After the Temperaments chapter, Sociability comes next and that starts at Page 146 out of 977. After all of this bullshit, I've barely made a dent in character creation.

Hopefully this experiment gives you some insight into why FATAL is such a meme and why no one would actually dream of playing it. It's not because of politics, it's because it's a mechanic nightmare made by a lunatic who wouldn't know what good game design is if it ran him over.

Imported from english recently.

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oger
Lern perfect german and read this.

In it, "Married" is a status condition that gives you an attack bonus against creatures you are married to.

He's a total prude. Okay that's it for Sociality I think, the rest is just shitty fluff and badly cribbed history. Thankfully we can also skip the occupation chapter as we rolled that earlier.

The bad news is we now have to calculate and invest skill points. The book _insists_ that this be done year-by-year, and frankly I can't be fucked. There's also this

>Ogres apparently have no marriage ceremony, which would imply he is a bastard by default, so let's apply the -2 penalty to our social class roll
This is one of those things that would probably depend on GM's judgement, as it potentially makes no sense. Why would your character be labeled as a bastard when your society literally has no way to make him a "not-bastard"? If your society doesn't have the concept of marriage, how can it have the concept of bastards? If bastards exist, there has to be a way to have legitimate children, which would inevitably result in a set of rules close to marriage, if not marriage itself.
