Hello, i’ve noticed a trend of a random nerd being thrown into the Warhammer 40K setting. Having been inspired by the most recent story of a nerd becoming a Necron Lord, I want to cash in on this trend, I hope you enjoy.>be me, be random nerd who loves 40k lore.>I most things about the fluff, from the War in Heaven, to return of the Big Blue Bureaucrat (or the Big Blue Bastard.)>But now, it’s time to go to sleep, if I can.>Wake up to an entirely new perspective.
>>78580874>Everything is different, my body feels... heavier, but my senses are greater then ever>I surrounded by what seems to be pseudo Gothic Architecture, coupled by numerous cables around me, and with the slight humming of machines close by.>This feels like something straight out of Warhammer...wait...>Before I could ponder on that idea, some suddenly spoke up.>”Who goes there?”>It sounded like it came from “my” viewpoint, but there were nobody I could see, then “my” head moved on its own.>It move to one side, to the other, as if it was scanning for something.>I don’t think I’m in control.
>>78581763>”...Who goes there?” the voice asked again >Said voice was loud and pronounced, a voice that somehow, drew you attention.>Even if I could answer it, how and what do I respond with?>It was then I heard heavy thuds from somewhere, something large was coming my way.>Then I heard what sounded like a door opening and the heavy thudding drew near.>”My” body was completely still, I couldn’t even move a muscle, or anything for that matter.>Then what was making the heaving thudding came into view, and I instantly recognized it.>I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, it was an Apothecary, a real Apothecary.
>"WOW, A REAL APOTHECARY JUST LIKE IN MY BOARDGAME" the Apothecary said sarcastically>In response I start shitting myself and crying everywhere>How DARE he mock me the best person in the universe>I bend over towards him and aim the shit right into his face, melting him instantly>With my job done I return to my own universe and use the vast amount of knowledge I gained in the 40k universe to form the Pan Earth New International SocietyThe End
>>78582158>It was surreal, everything about this was unreal, I needed to process all of this.>“Ah, you are awoke, Kyrus.” As the Apothecary looks at “me.”>Kyrus... who the fuck is Kyrus?! My name is->”Greetings, Apothecary, how go the subjugation?” Asked the voice>”Splendid, by your efforts, the planet shall be in Imperial Compliance in mere hours.” >“Good... Apothecary, is there anyone else here?”>“...There is no one here besides you.” The Apothecary said with slight confusion >I have rush of emotions flooding me, and so many questions, but I decide to watch and see what happens.>”That it is again, the voice!” wait... can he hear me?>”You took quite the injury, you had to carried away in the middle of a fire fight, perhaps it is your subconscious?”>Yeah, sure, let’s go with that.>”I keep hearing it.”>”Well, you’re fully healed, and it’s time to return to the Great Crusade.”>I decided to stay quiet for the mean time.
>>78582738Stop trolling, you aren't me, the story has ended.

>>78582738>”I”... well Kyrus, stands up from the Apothecary’s table and inhales deeply.>It seemed to calm his mind, as it allows him to focus greatly.>he turns to the Apothecary and says ”Thank you for your service.”>”I am merely doing my part, praise the Emperor.”>”Praise the Emperor.”>Kyrus walks out of the Apothecarium and down a corridor.>He makes several turns before arriving to a great door, with the seal of the Mechanicus, a good guess would be the Armory.>The door opened for Kyrus and he was greeted by the sound of heavy machinery and Tech-Marines going about their business, until one of them looks over to see Kyrus standing in the doorway.>“Kyrus, it is good to see you healed, Brother!” He greets Kyrus warmly>“Hello, Talvek, is my armor ready?” Kyrus responds back with a smile>”Indeed, we just finished repairing it.”>Talvek leads Kyrus to where his Mark III Power Armor rests and begins to don his armor.
Nice stuff so far. Are you planning to use anon to convince the marine to stay loyal?
>>78584920I’m planning them to stop the Horus Heresy, or at least stop the downfall of the Legion. By what means, is yet to be revealed.
>>78583810>Kyrus, now in his Power Armor, stood tall and better then ever.>”Thank you, Talvek.” >”Your welcome, Brother.”>I’ve been keeping quiet for all of this time, just processing what’s been happening as we go, so let’s do a little rundown.>I fell asleep, then woke up in the Warhammer universe, not great so far.>I’m in the body of some guy named, Kyrus, also not great.>The Apothecary mentioned the Great Crusade, so Kyrus, and the other guys are Legionnaires.>Judging by their heraldry, a Flaming Book, those guys are likely Word Bearers...>I really hit rock bottom, haven’t I?>Kyrus was scanning around the Armory, his eyes twitch every now and again, as if looking for something.>”...Are you alright, Kyrus?” Talvek says with concern>”I-it is nothing, Brother, I just keep hearing this voice since I recovered.”>”Oh, what does the Apothecary said of this?”>”He said it may be my subconscious talking to me.”>”Peculiar... but you should rest for now.”>”I believe your right, some training could help.”>”That’s the spirit!” Talvek said enthusiastically
>>78585561This will be the last thing I’ll add, I will continue with this story, if it doesn’t die by tomorrow.>Kyrus exits the Armory, with armor and weapons for in tow, he walks throughout the complex.>He walks for a little while, before arriving at a much less ostentatious door then the Armory’s.>He then puts in a number code into keypad, adjacent to the door, and it opens.>This is likely his private quarters, as he steps in, he turns and looks at a mirror.>I then thought of something, I haven’t actually introduce myself.>He’s already aware of presence, and now being alone, this seems like the perfect time.>”...ummm H-hello?”>Kyrus was shocked to hear the voice in such a clear manner, looking around to see who it was, before I was just whispers at the back of his mind.>”Show yourself!” Kyrus shouted >”Now don’t be alarmed, I’m just as confused as you are.>”Identify yourself!” Kyrus was slightly unhinged at this predicament.>”My name is-... my name is-..! I-I can’t say my name!”>”What nonsense is that?!”>”Look, all I know is that I fell asleep, and woke in your head.”>”That is utterly preposterous.”>”You took the words right out of my- er... metaphorical mouth, otherwise, that’s the truth.”>Not going to tell Kyrus where I’m “actually” from.>”But hey, how about some introductions, shall we?”
>>78580874idk man I enjoyed reading it, but you gotta come up with an tad bit more original idea regarding the isekai shit. Maybe bring some random ass wordbearer into our world (pretty much reverse isekai) and have anon try a way to send him back or some gay ass shit
>>78586941Nah, this premise is nice. Anon is just a Ghost in a guys head.
I like it, it's a different take,bump
>>78586228>”Introductions?” Kyrus said with great confusion, he couldn’t believe any of this was happening, but he’ll try to entertain the voice.>”Very well then, I am Kyrus Legabath of the Imperial Heralds.”>”Alright then-wait... did you just said “Imperial Heralds?” He said with astonishment and shock>”I did, what of it?”>”As in the XVII Legion of the Legiones Astartes?”>”Oh, so you heard of us?”>Holy shit, this is before Lorgar was founded, before... the Horus...>I pick myself up before my mind starts to trail off.>”...Quick, tell me the date!”>”It is 900:M30.” Kyrus did not understood the purpose of this request, but he complied.>”This is really is before everything, before...”>”Before what, and who is this “Lorgar,” you spoke of?”>So I’m really am here, this isn’t some bad dream, that I’m going wake up from.>I continue to ponder, if this really is the Great Crusade, and stuck in the mind of a pre-Lorgar Imperial Herald.>I am stuck in this situation, whether I like it or not.
i would probably say the pros and cons of our situation, like an intervew
>>78590249>I reconstitute myself and mostly processed everything that has happened so far.>Before I could think of anything else, Kyrus spoke up.>”Now I’ve introduced myself, I believe you should do the same.”>He caught me off guard, but I quickly reorganize.>”My name is... my name is... w-why can’t I say my own name?!”>Kyrus, aware of my delirious status, interjects.>”What are you anyway, some “Ghost in the Shell?” He continued >”Further more, I don’t quite understand who or what you are, but I had enough of this!”>”Look... I don’t know how to fully explain this, but...”>Should I tell him, about Lorgar, and what is to come?”>Fuck it, I’m going to tell him the truth, I don’t have anything to lose.>But let’s put into words he’ll understand.>”You know, I can still hear you.”>Alright, here goes nothing.
>>78585055I'd find it more interessting if you were akin to a demon possessing a marine, basically a witness to someones descent into corruption as a more neutral demon.
>>78590817Here comes the interesting part
>>78590817>”I am... a human being from the past.”>”...What?” was the Kyrus could muster up>”I’m from the 3rd Millennium and have somehow, brought here into your mind.”>Kyrus stood in complete silence for several minutes before responding.>”You are... you lived before the ascension of the Emperor?”>”Yes.” that was the best I could come up with.>”...Do you expect me to believe anything that you have said?” He said with clear skepticism and denial.>”But I know what you are, you are some daemon that has intruded my mind, and poisoning my very soul with your presence.” >”I’m not a- wait.” by Warhammer standards, that is the closest thing to what I am right now.>”Listen, I know this is difficult to comprehend, but I’m telling the truth!” not doing a good job of convincing him, aren’t I?>He calmed down a bit before continuing and let out a soft chuckle.>”Fine, I shall entertain this notion with logic, what use are you to me?>”Knowledge.” I said almost immediately >”Oh, what kind of knowledge?”>There was a lot of things I could tell him, however, there is one thing I can do to get his attention.>”I know where your Primarch is.” crossing my metaphorical fingers he’ll believe it.
Christ, nobody wants to read this dumb fanfiction bullshit. It's all awful, none of you can write, and it just shits up the board.
>>78592539The fact that there are now 4 (and possibly a fifth in the works) fanfictions of getting isekied/reincarnated into 40k proves you otherwise.
>>78591705This will be the last thing I’ll upload, as I will be inactive for a while.>This immediately grabbed his intention and slight curiosity.>”...Are you some seer who can see the future, I have embraced the Imperial Truth, and we have done away with such primitive superstitions!”>His behavior was expected, I couldn’t tell him about “them,” not at this moment. But I continue to press on.>”His name is Lorgar Aurelian, he resides on the planet of Colchis, and he is to be found 57 standard Terran years from now.”>Kyrus pondered on this greatly, if what this “Ghost” says is true, he may be able to reunite the Primarch with the Legion early. That was priority that every Legionnaire starved for.>”If this what you said is true, what more do you know?”>”Is this a sign of acknowledgment and trust?”>”Acknowledgement, yes. Trust... let’s see how much of use you’re truly are and we’ll go from there.”>”Good enough for me.”>I’m just glad he isn’t calling me a daemon, and starting to believe me.>”Oh, one more thing, I never got your name.”>”Well here’s the thing, I can’t seem to say it.” this fact has been bothering me.>”Well that’s a bother, how about a new name?” >I never thought of that, I guess new life, new name.>”You called me a “Ghost in the Shell,” so how about Ghost?>”Ghost... that will be a decent place holder, before we can think of a proper name for you.”>”What, Ghost isn’t good?”>”No, not really.”>Before we could deliberate any further, there was a knock on Kyrus’ door.
>>78592650(dont feed the trolls, they are all in the other thread)
bumpAlso good work so far... though you might want to get in contact with the emperor to be 'removed' from this legionary.Although... do you affect (or could you affect/control) the machine spirits around you?
>>78593378Try and see if, when he's plunged into the armour, anon could access it thought the black carapace? Maybe also see if psykers can detect him.
sorry I have to make a bit of a joke>Be emperor>A legionary found his primarch on a specific world>Strange, I will have to see if he was influenced by the dark powers>request to personally see this legionary and thank him... (official story)>Notice a old as shit Human soul with him, not a daemon but an actual Human soul>It appears he is trying to stay silent.>... We go in private decide to so I can ask the question I want to>Decide to manually contact his soul, its connected to the legionary...>'How the hell are you connected to this legionary?'>"Wait, so I am not crazy by hearing that voice!?">'No idea, also hello emperor. How are you doing?">How_the_fuck_did_this_happen.jpg
>>78593643cant wait for that to happen
Time to Sleep and see if thread dies tommorow, if new thread please for the sake of those who sleep post link here
That does raise the question how would Anons soul be affected by the presence of the emperor... would it burn away like a daemon, or materialize?>>78593378It also does raise the question how much control might anon have over any machine spirits (or AI for that matter)? Could he temporarily override them or flat out hijack them from its controller? He probably is immune to chaos if he knows about their ways, maybe he could protect others from its touch?
Enjoyed the concept so far, now are we actually a human soul or are we a demon entity that thinks is a human
>>78592715>”Company Commander, are you alright, I heard shouting?”>This took us by surprise, so Kyrus is a Company Commander, nice.>He opens the door and sees another Legionnaire, as he salutes, Kyrus crosses his arms.>”What is it, Lieutenant?”>”I heard you have recovered.” the Lieutenant sounds a lot younger then Kyrus.>”Did you believe otherwise?” retorted Kyrus with an eyebrow raise.>”No, I am only relieved to confirm it with my own eyes.” he continues >”I don’t mean to pry, but, what was with the shouting?”>Please don’t tell me you’re going to spill the beans on me?>”I was practicing my speeches... also, you should mind your own business, Cesare.”>”R-right, my apologies, Commander!” Cesare stutters greatly.>”All is well, Lieutenant, have you told the rest of the company yet?”>”No, not yet.”>”Very well, notify the Company of my recovery, I’ll join you soon.”>”Understood, Company Commander.” he salutes and the door closes.>Kyrus takes a deep breath and sits in a chair, fit for a Space Marine.>”Alright Ghost, tell me what you know.”>”Wait... everything?”>”No, just where is the Primarch, is all I desire.”>”I don’t think you should mess with important events like that.” I’ll try and steer away the conversation.>”Why not, reuniting with the Primarch is our top priority.”>I should really tell him about “them,” but if I don’t, how will the Emperor react to some Legionnaire finding his Primarch all by himself.>”I’m going to tell you why, but you must not tell anyone else.”>”I’m listening...”>”Relax, because this is going to take a while.”
A very interesting concept, Orator-anon, I'm looking forward to how it turns out.
>>78598144>>78598810>>78599200Damn redditfags thinking you need to bump a thread every half hour
>>78596950This will be the last thing I’ll post, because I got a game session in a hour.>I tell Kyrus EVERYTHING.>About the relocation of Lorgar, the razing of Monarchia, the manipulation of Erebus and Kor Phaeron, the Ullanor Crusade, Horus’ ascension to Warmaster, the start of the Horus Hersey, the Drop Site Massacre, the Betrayal of Calth, the Siege of Terra, the slaying of Horus and Sangiunius, the mortal wounding of the Emperor, and most of all, Chaos.>Kyrus took special interest in Chaos, not surprising, as he stayed silent for hours.>”Is there nothing we can do?” he suddenly said >”Plans have already been set into motion, by beings far behind our comprehension.”>”Chaos...” he said with venom in his mouth.>”But that doesn’t answer my question.”
I now see Orator-anon being like...
>>78600286Best he could do os go to the emperor, st least do better with Angron (since he hasn’t been found yet) and the last view Primarchs as well as working better with the ones wlready therer (apologizing snd working out the resentment Mortarian has, getting rid of Fulgrims blade, talking to Pert about his feelings, tell them about Chaos, etc.). And at least tell him to do more work with choosing who wouod be warmaster, or even just to slowly get everyone into roles as some war council in asuch a way that they don’t step on each others toes and still get the crusade done. Maybe also get Pert and Magnus to come meet Lorgar and talk him out of his faith, since Pert successfully debated against religion on his own. Plus at least kill Eribus. With brutal prejudice.
>>78600594>...brutal prejudiceBeing offly merciful aren't we?make it calculatedly brutal prejudice...Also why is it that I hear Nail from TFS DBZ as Orator-anon voice
>>78600793I was being practical. Id recommend Emps to do the same thing Horus did to ollanius Person (or that mortal guardsmen that got in his way between the emperor) snd just erase body and soul, especially soul so not even the big four could get him afterward.
>>78601051ok fair yea enough...
This is pretty interesting and a nice way to spice things up and make then unique from the other 40k isekai threads, keep it up anon.
hold up... how would magnus (and the eldar) react to anon (if he can see him) because he is also a pyscker as well
>>78600523'I have a plan Kyrus''I just need you to listen and heed what I have to say'
Here is another bump
>>78600286Alright, I’m back, the session just ended. I’m going to add one more thing and that will be it for now.>”Well... there is only so much we can do, before we gain the attention of the Chaos Gods AND the Emperor.”>”So, is it all hopeless, we can’t change the future?” Kyrus was in near complete defeat.>Seeing this single Marine has given me an entirely new perspective on Warhammer, I think he needs a pick-me-up.>”We may not benefit the Imperium directly, the Legion, however.” I continue >”Due to Lorgar’s seclusion after Monarchia, Erebus used the opportunity to introduce him to Chaos, and the rest goes downhill from there.”>”I still can’t believe the Primarch’s obsession with religion, it stands against everything we and the Emperor has worked for.”>”That was one of the reasons why he fall from grace, so this is what I’m thinking.”>”If it entails becoming a thrall to Chaos then I’m->”No, not at all, you need to be of high enough rank to influence Lorgar’s decisions firstly.”>”Secondly, you MUST get rid of Erebus and Kor Phearon, they were the ones who damned the Imperium.”>”Thirdly, we can help out in what we can, as long as we don’t arouse suspicion ad that’s the best case scenario.>”What’s the worst case?”>”The Horus Hersey still happens, we’ll try to recruit as many uncorrupted warriors, and hope for the best.”>Kyrus gets up from his seat and breathes deeply.>”...I don’t know what you are, or what purpose you are here for, but it would be folly to disregard your forewarnings.” He continued >”Even with this grim knowledge of the future, I shall carry forward, for I know no fear.”>”...Well said, now where to go next?”>”Off to greet my Company, we have long road ahead of us, so must stay vigilant at all times.”>Kyrus exits his private quarters and walks down a corridor, now returning to the Great Crusade.
>>78604175If he gets high enough, and maybe picks up a few pieces of Archeotech along the way, this commander could give them to the Mechanicus in charge of doing to astarties surgeries to cause “ Accidents” when converting Erebus and Kor Phearon. And even they are caught, make it look like incompetence, and when they get fired the arcotech would get them some friends elsewhere so they'll be fine. Then Largar os all Kyrus’s And if he ever meets Pertarabo, learn from him how to debate theology, to slowly wean Lorgar off religion.
Extra large bump
I am very surprised this thread hasn’t died yet, but I have a request. I’m running out of Pre-Heresy Word Bearers images, so find some I can use.

>>78663660Interesting take that Alpharious was there all along even before Horus. Must be Omagon that got flung out into the galaxy.
>>78663660>We got to the training center, the difference between the this and the grounds, is that the center is meant for officers.>The center was large and extensive, it had everything, from a gun range, small ring for duels, and sort of game room. >But there was one thing missing.>”Hey, where are the bolters?”>”Bolters, we don’t have those?”>That’s right, these early Legionnaires had Volkite weapons, not Bolter!>”Anyway, what kind of training are you doing exactly?”>”All of them, if I’m to climb the ranks for the future, I need to sharpen my skills.”>Before I could say anything, someone shouted towards Kyrus>”Brother, over here, come join us!”>It was Tael’vos and Ordem by the ring, he waved his hand over happily.>”What did I tell you about controlling your voice?” Ordem said calmly, a stark contrast to his friend.>”Greetings, Brothers, I didn’t know you’d be here.”>”It’s nothing, Ordem and I were just getting to spar, would you care to join?”>”Why… yes, I shall.” Kyrus is still getting used to Tael’vos’ over-friendly behavior.“Great, the more, the merrier!”>The three head into the ring, setting rules for the duel, and proceeding to start.
>>78668965>The duel was something to behold, with each powerful swing or kick, cuts the air.>Seeing this from the perspective of a Space Marine makes this scene believable, every move is calculated, planned 5 steps of everything else and carried with no hesitation.>The trio have been going for hours, I guess time perception is different for a Marine.>However, they were interrupted by someone shouting over.>”Brothers!” >They see Locke and Eira standing outside of the ring.>”Brothers, please, come join us!” Tael’vos said with a wide smile on his face.>”Perhaps some other time, but I came here to inform you that it is time for the meeting with the Chapter Commander.”>”Already?” Tael’vos says with a frown, he enjoyed the duel the most.>”Afraid so, we must not keep him waiting.”>The five leave the training center and headed towards the biggest building around, the headquarters itself.>On the outside, this place was deserted, but that was not the same for the inside.>The inside was heavily guarded, with sentries posted at every corner, it took them 10 minutes trying to get past a group of Legionnaires.>They finally made it past and walked until they stopped at giant door, with the name “Amphitheater.”>The five waited for several minutes, has if for confirmation, then I heard a booming voice from the other side.>”Enter!” >As the five push opens the door, they are greeted by the sight of, well you guessed it, an Amphitheater.>The chamber was filled with severo-skulls, data panel, and numerous cables running along the walls.>Then at the very end of the Amphitheater, I see a Marine in a early Terminator armor variant, I wager that’s the Chapter Commander?>”Well don’t just stand there, get moving!” >I’ll take that as a yes.
>>78672893>”Well don’t just stand there, get moving!”

>>78674144Oops, that’s a lot of typos, and I don’t know to fix that?
>>78674144>”W-well, the whole process would take years before we attain sufficient numbers and resources, shall that suffice enough for an answer?”>”Sounds good enough.”>he takes a deep breath and carry-on>”Now, your next responsibilities shall be to build up the Chapter, for when the time comes, we shall be ready to journey across the stars.”>”Now, anymore questions?” they stayed silent once again“Good, now piss off, I’m already in a foul mood because of Tael’vos.”>”You’re welcome!”>The five salute Virgo and leave the Amphitheater and the Headquarters.>”So, what’s next?” I ask, after being in near complete silence for hours.>”Well you heard, build up the Chapter.”>”Which will take years.” >“Most definitely, are you prepared?”>I have committed myself to this and there is really is no way of going back, even it risks my very existence.>”Yes.” I said swiftly >”Then we are in agreement, forward unto dawn!”

Hello everyone, just had lunch and I’ll start posting soon.
>>78674574>The year is 805:M30, 52 years before Lorgar is found>The years went by like a blur, every moment blends together, but I still keenly remember them all.>Kyrus never left Terra, so most of the time was spent recruiting more initiates into the Chapter, and answering his questions of Terra’s past.>His most latest question was how did humans used to travel, I told him about cars, planes, trains and suck>He even recalled digging up something that resembled a car during his youth.>Odd thing is, this was the first time he mentioned his past, and he never mentions it again.
>>78684695>Kyrus hasn’t asked me any questions and I think it has something to do with his past.>I feel it might be sensitive, so I won’t bring it up, for now.>Now, his is overseeing the new recruits, ones that has started the process in becoming an Astartes.>Any excess Legionnaires will be siphoned to the other two companies and begin their allotted training.>This is what he and the other Commanders, have been doing for the past five years, and I think they’re just about ready to enter the Great Crusade.>Now, Kyrus is heading towards the “Indoctrination Hall,” where they educate initiates on the Imperial Truth, he’ll be doing seminar here. >Though I’m slightly nervous, the rhetoric of the Imperial Heralds is borderline fanaticism, that what made they’re fall to Chaos almost seamless.>”Hey, could you tone down the rhetoric a little?”>”In what regard, they must know of the Imperial Truth?”>”That’s fine, just stray away from the usual stuff, ok.”>”Hm…, perhaps a lesson in temperance is needed.”
>>78688904>As he enters the hall, the first thing he sees is beautifully crafted columns of the Emperor and his exploits during the Unification War.>While scriptures of the Imperial Truth and quotes from Him, hang from the walls, Kyrus works his towards the meeting hall itself.>He arrives before an equally crafted door, just like the columns before, and knocks to notify his presence.>The door opens and a Legionnaire, in ornate armor, greets him.>”Greetings, Brother, I hope this seminar didn’t take time out of schedule.” the Marine said in quiet and hushed tone.>”On the contrary, I made time in my schedule for this, Speaker.” Kyrus says with a smile >Judging from his war-gear and his title, I wager he’s some kind of proto-Chaplin, is his title related to Kyrus?>”Come, they await.” the Speaker says while guiding him to a room full of initiates.>There at least several dozen of them in here, they’re all young, looks like in their teens.>They all stand up at the sight of Kyrus and salute him.>Kyrus sets up to the podium and clears his throat, while commanding them to sit back down.
>>78692788>”Today, I shall deviate from the normal criteria and take a different subject, temperance. As you grow into a proper soldier, to embrace the Imperial Truth, you must set aside everything and pure yourself to the image set by the Emperor. However, their is a line, a thin border that teeters between fealty and treachery. So one must find an equilibrium, and stay on that course, no matter what. This may frighten your hearts and darken your mind, but know this, you shape yourselves. Your future is yours to mold, your past means nothing, and the present is yours to command! So I exclaim again, temperance, is the key to upholding such image.”>The room was silent for minutes, the young initiates looked dumbfounded, as the Speaker harkens to Kyrus.>”That was…powerful.” even the Speaker was taken aback as well.>”I know this isn’t the usual subject, but I felt like a change was needed, sorry.”>”There is no need to apologize, Brother, I believe temperance is something that should be taught throughout the Legion.”>Kyrus exits the Indoctrination Hall and returns to his duties.>One unprecedented side effect of Kyrus’ new rhetoric, future Marines will become even MORE zealous and coherent to the Imperial Truth.>What that entails for the coming future is still unknown.
>>78694974i like that
The command staff appear a little... to human? I'm guessing that their indoctrination is a little on the light side compared to the usual? I can't imagine a commander showing such blatant disrespect to his commander nor his commander accepting it and actually stuttering to boot. Also, Kyrus is remarkably trusting of Anon when Anon has not really provided any actual evidence to back up what he's saying. Kyrus appears to just accept what's being said to him. If there was a post where he was able to prove he is who he says he is, I may have missed it.
>>78697352i think kyrus thinks he's in control and that anon is at worse giving wrong info...as for the humanity of the staff, they don't stop being human
>>78697524I could see standards being quite lax in comparison compared to how stringent they are in 40K but even still, a commander calling his immediate superior by his first name is bizarre.
This thread turns one week old, don’t know if that’s an achievement or not?
>>78692788>>78694974The issue with their zealousness was that it was gene seed flaw that caused them to be unable to change there beliefs. This even extended to the point of insanity.
>>78699700Well, Kyrus is just asking rethink, not change their beliefs. Kyrus himself is still loyal to the Imperial Truth. What made the Word Bearers fall to Chaos was the razing of Monarchia and establishment of the Warrior Ledges, so it was slow process.
>>78700684And the Terran Imperial Hearalds being slowly phased out for Monarchia bred ones.

>>78694974>A few months after the Indoctrination Hall seminar, Kyrus and his Brother Commanders, were called by Chapter Commander Virgo for another meeting.>In other news, the rediscovery of Horus is made public, and he is set to take command of his Legion.>So we return to the Amphitheater, where two newcomers, and Virgo awaits.>”Greetings, Commanders, I’ve called you here for today is a joyous occasion.” he says with a slight smirk, a contrast to his usual stoic demeanor.>”Before I start, I’ll like you to meet our two newest Commanders, Xenophon and Alexandros.”>“Greetings, Brothers.” Xenophon says with a peculiar accent.>”Salutations, I am exuberant to be working with you all.” Alexandros says enthusiastically.>”There’s no need to be so formal, Brothers!” Tael’vos says warmly, while shouting over.>”Contain yourself, Commander.” I think Virgo popped a blood vessel>”Now then, as I was saying…”>”All of our efforts have come to fruition, for the Legion is now ready to journey across the stars, and spread the Emperor’s Word.”>”Finally, about bloody time.” Tael’vos says it unintentionally callously.
>>78703377>Virgo seems to ignore Tael’vos statement and moves on.>”In a matter of weeks, the Legion shall create a mustering point, which the Star Hunters and the Scepter Bearers will accompany us as well.”>”Now, any questions?” he looks around the room.>”Sir, I have a question.” Ordem raises his hand >”Yes, Commander Ordem?”>”Why are the other Legions accompanying us?”>”Those are small remnants that were left behind because they didn’t had the necessary strength at the time, they requested to join us until they rendezvous with their respective Legions.” >”Any more questions?”>The seven were quiet.>”I’ll take your silence as no, if so, then you are dismissed. Praise the Emperor!”>”Praise the Emperor!” the seven say in unison.>While the Commanders proceed to exit, Tael’vos wraps his arms over Xenophon and Alexandros.>”Now then, you two newcomers, how about a sparring match?” Tael’vos says, grinning like a madman.

>>78704292>Finally, the wait is over, we can start our preliminary plans.>However I still have some questions that’s been bugging me for a while.>”Hey, Kyrus, I have a few questions.”>”What is it, Ghost?”>”I forget to ask before, but, why was Tael’vos so causal with the Chapter Commander?”>”Well to start off, Tael’vos is the most senior out of all of us.>”So that’s makes him the de facto, second-in-command.”>”Quite so, those two were comrades since the Unification Wars, and they have been through thick and thin together. >”The over-friendly nature of Tael’vos doesn’t allow him to see rank, he sees a friend, and he is able unravel the Chapter Commander’s normally cold posterior.”>Again, it amazes me how human these guys are, all the more painful to know of their potential future.
>>78706498>”Now for my second question, when did you come around to trust my information and myself?”>”I’ve told before, I acknowledged you, trust has yet to be earned.” he continued >”I’ll use your information to further the Imperium and the Emperor’s agenda.”>”That’s good and all, but, when did you start trust me?”>Kyrus thought about an answer for a while, as he stayed quiet for hours.>”Do you remember the conversation we had about old Terran vehicles?” this took me by surprise, what is he leading to?>”Does it had to do with your past?” >I can fell his throat drying, the growing anger, and the clenching of his fists.>I think I hit the bullseye a little too well.>”What I’m about to tell you, must never be revealed to no one.” he said with a low voice>”Before the rise of the Emperor, my family lived as seers, fortune tellers, and prophets.”>”We all had this gift, and my mother was a powerful seeress, and she helped see a vision.”>”What I saw… was eerily similar to what you told me, a galaxy ablaze.”>”I didn’t think much of it at the time, however one day, the Sigillite and the black armored, skull-faced Legionnaires came to our doorstep.”>”He enchanted us with his words, he spoke of the Emperor and his future for Mankind.”>”He then demanded that all young males to be drafted into the Legiones Astartes, and that was the last time I ever saw my mother again.”

>>78707747wait was the skulled space marine a (proto)Chaplin (or one of the emperors discuses)
>>78707747>”Holy shit.” was the only thing I could say>We didn’t say a single word for a while, I had to break the silence.>”A-are you a Psyker, Kyrus?”>”A Psyker… I never thought of that?”>”That would explain why are were able to see the vision and how I got into your mind.”>”Could that be why the Sigillite inducted me into the Legion?”>”Possibly, I won’t put it past him.”>Kyrus took a deep breath, this calmed his mind, and me at the same time.>”In any case, we must plan and prepare for the future.”>Kyrus, now outside of the Headquarters, looks up to the sky and wonders what will tomorrow bring?
>>78709996The Imperial Heralds would send a single Legionnaire with black armor, skull-faced helms, and an eagle shaped maces; to settlements to spread the Emperor’s Word. Though the idea of the Chaplains, did come from the Word Bearers, so I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the inspiration.

Aeterna, Victrix!”>As the two look onward, something catches the Sigillite attention, and squints his eyes to get a better look.>It is Kyrus, but he seems… different somehow, he can’t quite put his finger on it.>”Does something trouble you, friend?” the Emperor says, while still looking at the tide of Marines.>”Hm… no… perhaps I’m getting old.”>”You jest.” >The two share light chuckle, as the Legionnaires slowly march into the warships, and prepare to journey across the stars.
>>78724107ho they weren't found out...perfect let's see what kyrus can do with his info
>>78724243Anon/ghost probably wasn't talking or doing much, he’s just a voice in some marine’s head, so even if anon was a human soul, that probably smaller then an Astarties one, he probably smaller. And emps probably done have a good comparison so hence he HE didn’t notice.
>>78639120>it was a lot more greener, oceans as deep as the color blueholy fuck anon does ghost have soul shock or brain damage?I'm enjoying the story but dang, the wording is on par with a 4th graders. If you need help translating it all, I could help. I've helped a couple non-English speakers write stories in the past.
>>78713637Begone. There is other threads on this site. Go there.
bump, put me in the screencap
the Necron cryptek is in 5 thread...this is still the first one
>>78732132Yeah because Cryptek has also other people write in the story and this one is just him.
>>78735932Look, I'm all for nurturing and protecting this new wave of actual content on tg, but you have to admit that even if you just compare cryptek and orator posts, the former has written way more than the latter. It feels qay more fair and fitting to compare him to cupanon, especially giving how much more focused on the Imperium the story is, although treating it as it's own thing would be better.
Hello, sorry I didn’t post a lot yesterday, I’ll to be more proactive.
>>78737388Do it at your own pace Orator-Anon, if you try to rush things, it will only degrade in quality.
>>78736240it is true than with crypteks threads there are more contributors but its mainly that with necrons their lore is detailed yes but cryptek's works with essentally a blank slate that can take pieces from the canon lore. With orator's story it about the imperium which has a ton of lore ontop of another ton of lore making it so if you wanted to contribute while making sure to not break lore. For instance if someone took control of Alpharius or Omegon they would have to refer to the character's lore and aspirations during this time and how they would react to a situation. Then you have to process what they would be doing with a lore bound scale for the story and since Orator hasn't introduced any radical changes or events, there's no room to introduce unique characters for subplots. In the future I feel orator will introduce such events but, he seems to be proceeding with a careful approach to his story so the introduction for subplot isn't viable at this stage.unless you wanted to try and do troll subplot by introducing challenges for orator in his story.
>>78724107>If were a regular human, I’m pretty sure that my ear drums would burst at the sound of thousands of Legionnaires singing, and die from the blood loss.>Why the hell Kyrus didn’t wore a helmet is beyond me.>As we march, feel a chill going down my metaphorical spine, as if I am being watched.>The Emperor was at the balcony, and where he goes, Malcador follows… have I been found out?>The feeling persists until we finally enter the ship, we continue to march further in.>We get to our designated area for Kyrus’ Company, and set in.>It was then Lieutenant Cesare approaches Kyrus>”Sir, I have received a message from the Chapter Commander, he orders your presence at this location.”>”Very well then, it is likely a meeting on what our objectives will be.” as he lets out a small sigh.
>>78739146>Kyrus walks to the meeting location, as he does, he sees Tael’vos talking to a non-Imperial Heralds Legionnaire in the hallway.>I couldn’t recognize any of the heraldry on him or his color scheme.>”Well, if it isn’t Rowan, how long as it been?”>The two turn to face Kyrus>”Greetings, Kyrus, I heard you took an injury during a training skirmish?” the Legionnaire said with a grin, he has a dark complexion, and hair that nearly touches the floor.>He sports Mark II Power Armor, most of it is painted dark blue, with a yellow specter on his left pauldron, and the Tactical symbol on his right pauldron.>”Indeed, how goes your exploits?” >”Good, my Company will link up with the rest of our Brothers several worlds from here, but we will assist you while we’re here.” >Kyrus turns to face Tael’vos, who seems to know what’s he’ll ask.>”Have you heard from the Chapter Commander too?” >”Aye… I was just heading there, when I met Rowan here.”>”Then, if your off to Chapter responsibilities, I shall take my leave.”>”No wait… we can talk a little bit more.” Tael’vos know this is futile, as Rowan walks away.>”Why can’t Virgo just tell us what our objectives are, indeed of holding meetings, it’s the 30th Millennium for Emperor’s sake!” he says angrily >Kyrus remains quiet, as his Brother-Commander, gripes about their superior.>”Alright, let us go see what he wants.” Tael’vos says with a groan.
>>78740403>The duo make their way towards the location where Virgo specified, as Tael’vos continuously grumbles about it.>”Hey, Kyrus, who was that back there?” >”That was Captain Rowan of the Scepter Bearers, XI Legiones Astartes.”>So I know both names of the Lost Legions, the Primarch of the II Legion should be rediscovered after Russ, and the Primarch of the XI Legion will be the second-to-last rediscovered.>”You mentioned that they were stricken from records, everything about them was erased, right?”>”Yeah, they’re probably the biggest wildcard besides me, I don’t know if it’s possible to save them.”>”Do not dispare, with your knowledge, the opportunity may show itself yet.”>They arrive to the location, a small cutout just for them, and they’re the last ones to boot.
>>78741785>They see the rest of the Command Staff and Virgo looking back at them, they stepped in, without any sort of approval.>”Now then, with all in attendance, I shall go over our objectives.”>Virgo clears his voice and continues.>”With the Legion now in sufficient fighting strength, we must set the bar high, and show how capable we are!”>”We’ve already prove ourselves and our loyalty to the Emperor on several occasions, do you remember Orioc, what more do you want?” Tael’vos says with clear impatience and annoyance.> Virgo’s face glows red with anger, as he stares at Tael’vos>”If you must know, Legion command has given us a baseline of tasks and objectives to fulfill.”>”Which are…?” >”Take 100 worlds within span of 4 years, destroy any religions that may have developed, and enforce the Imperial Truth.”>”Taking 100 worlds in 4 years is a bit of a tall order, especially since we just got organized enough to set upon the Great Crusade.”>”That is why I need everyone on board and ready, if we are to uphold our name, we must act with certainty!”>”Now we are headed towards our first world, this is a monumentous phase in the Legion’s history.”>”I already knew this was coming, let us relax Brothers, this is gonna take awhile.”>The seven go over battle plans, stratagem, and tactics while conversing with Virgo.>Tael’vos and him go from, sharing a laugh, to screaming at each other, and it was just like old times.
>>78745361From this point forward, I’ll be doing time skips, to make you not lose interest. Some may be as small as 3 years to big as 20 years, it depends when I want to stop and write what happened. I will be doing more things about the Primarchs and the Lost Legions, tell me what you think about them?
>>78745461Can we get more lore about the Imperial Heralds? Maybe a discussion between Ghost and Kyrus about the roots or history of religion.
>>78745516I was thinking of doing something like that, but I didn’t want to be heavy on the dialogue, but that is a subject I’ll be showcasing.
>>78745461Maybe the time when the news comes that a new primarch was found and is leading their legion. Perhaps going over galactic history like the war in heaven, about what to look for with Necrons or any archeotech. And maybe another Anon latter latter, perhaps next tome the get back to terra but only must before they leave for the next expedition, about the Interex and the technocracy and their almost complete STC databases, if only to make shure that tech is not lost. And that the Interex at least would help Emps fight chaos.Or maybe leave a letter for Horus if they ever meet him that tells him about the Interex and to ask Big E about chaos directly and that the Interex will help. And also that the cabal is being fucky.
