Whether it are reaction pics, funny pics, cursed pics, filename pics, random pics and whatever you have. The point is to make an interesting setting based on them. You can also take a pic that has been previously posted and edit it if its OK with everyone. Just post something and add a bit of fluff to it, then let the magic do the rest!

Cool, I can continue posting fiery monsters which apparently are going to be the warbeasts of Sartyrian then. These ones will be a bit larger.

Now that one isn't related to Sartyrian, it's just some art of an Alkorian steam powered battleship being destroyed by a kraken living in the Pengu Ocean specifically near the Ninquabar Islands. Here's the actual art stuff.

An elder World Dragon. These beasts are some of if not the biggest monsters in the world and outstrip even the Great Turtles in deadliness and size. In fact these elder dragons are essentially Belkan aero-cruisers if they were sentient, far deadlier, and more maneuverable if you want a point of reference for size.

A flaming Sartyrian phoenix facing off against a Nicsenorean roc. The phoenixes are a massive species of bird that have grown and adapted to the fires of Ignis by having their very souls linked to the concept of fire as well.

Back to flame constructs as the last few images are living ones, here's a Lesser Balrog. The Balrogs are the largest of the flame constructs made the Sartyrians with even the lesser ones towering over a mortal man.

>>78248409
A greater Balrog facing against a Nicsenorean mage. Now these creatures are so large and gifted with such dangerous weapons that last time one was spotted by a Nantic nation (Yr in this case) during a Sartyrian raid it was shown splitting the Iron Beast overlord of that town with a strike of its mighty whip. Their great power means they are incredibly hard to maintain however and always need to have an elven mage nearby siphoning magical energy into it to keep it from crumbling into the ground through losing its life energy.

The Eannites would allow enough of a contingent to make the elves comfortable if that is what it takes to establish good relations. The priests are talking heavily of prophecy and in verse. The priests offer their faith, jewels, dyes, and a star chart that they say will "show you where" but little more information is given. Most of those not of the Mage-Priest class are visibly uneasy around the elves, but there seems to be a widespread understanding of some significance to this occasion amongst the people of Temple Island.
>>
>>78250250
Alright be honest. What is this occasion and why is it some kind of ritualistic sacrifice to the Eannites god? Jokes aside, if it isn't that then what kind of scheme are they planning as this whole ordeal seems a bit suspicious.
>>
Another image of a Sartyrian elder world dragon. I believe this should explain how they counter airships enough. The Nicsenoreans probably have an icy variant too so there's that. I might actually write a bit for the Nicsenorean air force soon, it's essentially just if every fighter plane was a wyvern or drake and every airship a dragon. Oh and there are others like rocs and whatever flying monsters they can get their hands on.
>>
>>78250714
So, the mage-priests deal a lot in prophecy and stuff. They are a magic over technology society and someone somewhere foretold the coming of a great elven fleet. They are also hoarders of artifacts and knowledge so they have an understanding of the ancient history of Autia and some of the roles the elves played in it. Sartyrians make them uneasy, do to their firey nature and general "dark elf" sort of vibe, plus the priests are aware of the conquests of the past. The elven use of magic, to the Eannites, does provide a sort of common ground for mutual understanding. The Elves are ancient and the Eannites view themselves as keepers and studies of ancient knowledge.
They see the elves as possible friends and confidants of the arcane, but are weary of their power.
They want to be friendly, and even help the elves on their journey, but also are slightly afraid of them.
They would also really really really like to bring some elven mages into the fold of their religion if possible.

The supreme deity of the Eannites, Ean-Deag-Bor, is the god of twilight and balance in all things. The light and the dark. The two elves that are in a way opposites coming together is a significant happening to the Eannites. This heralds great worldly upheaval or some dramatic changes in the order of things. The wars of the great powers happen often, but they have never coincided with a joining of the light and dark so dramatically embodied by the elven fleet.

The star chart is vague, and it could either be something for all of the elves or perhaps even a single elf of significance. It isn't quite explained and the Mage-Preists are pretty ambiguous as to how it should be interpreted, though the elves probably won't have much issue with it. Really this is just a means of showing that Temple Isle is offering assistance in a way that makes sense to them, and the meaning of this chart can be decided by whoever writes on the travels and trials the elves face.

The Nicsenorean Air Force

The concept of a race of elves, who are generally agreed to despise rampant industrialization and prefer to live with nature rather than against it may seem laughable to most. Those who've attempted to bypass the icy Pengu Ocean using an enchanted zeppelin made to withstand the cold conditions to enter lands under the jurisdiction of the snow elves would state otherwise however. For your opinion on the aerial capabilities of the race would quickly change when a ray of multicolored magic pierces the balloon hull of your zeppelin making an inferno out of your craft through reaction with the flammable gasses within. This is an example of the primary tactics used by the Nicsenorean Air Force, an organization comprised entirely of flying monsters and riders of those monsters. The Ninquabar Islands are covered in mountains and as such many creatures lurk in lairs within, settled next to regions naturally heated by nearby volcanoes. These creatures include ancient drakes, wyverns and dragons which are far larger and more ferocious than the more docile ones up north due to the harsh nature of the land. It is the oathsworn duty of the Scale Guard, a conclave of greatsword wielding warriors to seek out and tame these creatures with the aid of several spells soothing the mind of the ferocious creature. These creatures are then taken to their headquarters and adorned with a suit of mithril to further defend them and symbolize their status as a mighty mount alongside receiving training to turn it into an incredibly swift and dangerous killing machine. These creatures are then appointed to particularly talented mages who use them in synergy with their own spells to wreak devastation from above as a storm of magic tears apart whoever dared challenge them. All of these mages are individually a nightmare to take out due to their speed and several magical items created by them atop their steed doing things like making it far harder to see their presence.
>>
>>78252419
Very interesting. In that case the Eannites will serve as a good ally to the elves and will be well supplied with a steady stream of magical items and exotic trade goods sent their war in return for their assistance.

This coupled with the deadly fire breath of their mount (not sure if the Ercaenmedians wyverns have this but hey these are essentially the big brothers to those wyverns so it works) and the magical supremacy of the mounted mage means this combination of mage and dragon can take on foes several orders of magnitude larger than them such as a combat zeppelin in the example I showed earlier and as shown in the previous picture the ability to raze a cathedral to the ground. A group of these wyern/drake mages with enough planning can take on a complete enemy airship fleet not because of their size but because of the extreme difficulty in shooting one of them down coupled with their incredible firepower. It is not enough however the rely on a single unit for your entire air force leading to the Nicsenoreans developing alternate means of aerial combat in addition to this such as creating aerial versions of the soulbound constructs they make. These constructs in general are reminiscent of what the Sartyrians make however they are more challenging to create, requiring the residue left from a purified dead soul to be brought to life. This additional effort is well worth the time however as these constructs are not tied to a power source that if destroyed instantly kills them alongside having the skills of the warrior chosen to be placed inside them. As such the most powerful warriors turned into dead souls the Nicsenoreans can get their hands on from the aether are placed inside these constructs, a process that has gotten significantly easier to do given the nonstop wars raging across the world leading to a surplus of warrior souls coming their way. The icy constructs produced for the airforce are quite varied in design with giant eagles with sharpened talons being a particularly common one alongside smaller versions of the assorted draconic creatures used in the air force and airborne ice elementals which don't really count as a construct but they are still used.

These creatures comprise the "basic" troops of the air force and form the main core of the army in direct aerial engagements to occupy and battle enemies while their most dangerous warbeasts come out. I speak of course of the almighty and massive frost dragons that form the apex predators of the islands the Nicsenoreans found themselves in. These are creatures incomprehensible in their size and majesty, fierce residents of the highest mountains who only submit to the elves when through a mix of stealth and spells an enchanted circlet is attached on them which allows the elves to dominate its mind and coax it into following their orders. When they deem it fit to release these creatures onto the battlefield they resemble a living wind of death and destruction rather than a living animal as they swoop through the air tearing through whatever impedes its path with both claws and flame. Unlike most other creatures belonging to the Nicsenoreans making armor for the dragons to wear is simply unfeasible and unnecessary as its scales are durable enough to withstand a full broadside from a battleship without any noticeable marks. The eldest of dragons in their repertoire have tough enough scales and are large enough (nearing aerofortress size by this point in age) for the Scale Guard to confidently state that they're unkillable by the weapons of most races with only creatures like an equally ancient Sartyrian World Dragon really being able to give it an equal competition.

Upon cordial relations being established, the assembly of priests at the docks very eagerly invite the more powerful wielders of magic amongst the elves to join them in visiting the nearest Temple complex, hoping to hear some secrets the elves may possess or gain some insight into yet unsolved omens. This is a rare invitation, for the requirement of religious conversion is being lessened to a strong suggestion instead of a necessity.

A small sect of priests and warriors come to the decision that their role in the coming events should be more active, claiming that Ean-Deag-Bor's divinity is palpable amongst the combined Sartyrian and Nicsenorean fleet. Balance exists here in a physical form. As such, some 20 ships, each carrying 60 warriors and 2 mage-priests, intend to set out with the elves. From here they can join the odyssey blessed by the one on high and be witnesses to new the shaping of things, and they may have an opportunity to proselytize the faith far and wide. If the elves do not wish to be accompanied by the Eannites, they will likely simply follow behind, in sight but out of the way.

Each side of the valley has some sort of fortification and magical beacon assisting in the defenses of the city as a means of communication between other holds and a magical reservoir granting the mages in the valley vastly increased magical strength when activated. The defenses in these four corners of the valley take form in a hold on the northwest side (this city), a levitating castle on the northeast connected to the mountain leading up to Anguloce-Marto, a massive entrance to the mine under the mountains plentiful in mithril and other precious metals and minerals on the southeast and a great white tower, the tallest in all of Nicsenor on the southwest. Atop this tower whoever the supreme mage of all Nicsenor and perhaps the entire world given their great sorcerous power and age is at the time resides meditating.

They are of course welcome to accompany the greater elven fleet on their journey below the stars. As gratitude for their kind assistance these Eannites will be gifted many magical tomes of great age and might from the Sacred Library of Mir-Engel Cheb. The library in question is a beloved place to the Nicsenoreans and contains their collective repertoire of magical knowledge cultivated through centuries upon centuries of practice. It is considered a great honor to be gifted books from it.

Wait a minute, I can't believe forgot to mention the cavalry for the Nicsenoreans. The warriors among them who choose to specialize in the art of mounted combat ride atop massive white stags, mysterious creatures said to be gifts from their god Lossfea who I really haven't been mentioning enough recently. They're basically just really good cavalry, there's nothing much that interesting or unique about them if I'm be honest other then that they fire a couple of spells off while charging. Sometimes they ride flying creatures who fall under the category of the air force as well like the great rocs that fly across the shores of beaches.

I have a theory. Do you think the elder elves are called that not just because of their immortality but the fact they've been away from the fairy realm where the elves came from the longest out of any so they aren't tied to the madness of it and instead found their own gods? Thus why the fairy elves are still elves because they live closer and have left the fairy realm more recently. Also speaking of that place, has any nation other than the elves who live near it entered it before? How does it look?
>>
>>78263257
My point is, the longer an elven subrace been away from wherever the elves originally came out of the fairy realms (somewhere around Fluffwood is my guess) they start losing more fairy elf traits like wings and the outrageously long point ears and start looking more like Tolkien's elves. Their ears are still long, it's just that you wouldn't notice them as quickly. That's my guess, hence why the fairy themed elves seem to be stuck to a certain part of Autia while others farther away are quite different.

Bold of you to assume it'll survive that long without some magic doomsday event destroying the place or the Belkans ruining everything like a bunch of idiots via some supernuke that Alkor steals. Jokes aside I'm really not sure, my guess is that the Eldrians will be finished off and the Nantic States will constantly be infighting alongside the more magically attuned nations adapting and using modern tech with magic installed or working to destabilize the Nantic states. The main goal for most nations outside of northern Autia that aren't the Union will be to stay up to date and make sure the Nantic States don't go full imperialist mode and invade everyone. Other more mysterious and isolated races will still be doing their own thing and the southern elves have their incredible magical talent and extremely powerful monsters to remain relevant.

Does that mean that they also adopted the skirt wearing fashion associated with the era?
>>
>>78269200
Well there are specific regiments like the Praetorian Guard, an army of veteran mercenaries who have adopted gunpowder. The national army is still comprised of skilled hoplites each wielding enchanted weapons no matter their rank because of Soukos having industrialized magic with the amount of mages and the skill of said mages they have. This does give me an idea however of there being a secondary levy where citizens both within the city-states and in the countryside fight in the army. These people would dress like what’s shown in the picture and would freely use gunpowder weapons alongside modern artillery. Maybe even a few tanks with funny little Roman plumes on top like some art I saw a while ago of a Roman themed tank.
>>

>>78268436
Have you and the Alkor anon rolled off for how the invasion goes?
>>
>>78269409
With the art of gunpowder being much more easy to learn than that of the blade and of magic, many commoners have begun to take up arms as well, known as the Armatoloi.

This levy is quite notorious for deviating greatly from the Soukan military tradition, with them preferring sneak attacks rather than direct combat. Their appearance reflects their fighting style, with them being armed to teeth with multiple guns and a sword, which is used only as a last resort.

Despite them being looked down on by more established groups, the unorthodox and pragmatic methods of the Armatoloi brings undeniable results.
>>
>>78269937
Though this does not mean that the contempt they get from the upper echelons is entirely unjustifiable.

There are those among the Armatoloi who desert their levy and become bandits.

Commonly known as Klephts, they usually reside in the mountains, keeping watch for any wealthy looking caravans.

Bringing the Armatoloi's philosophy of pragmatism over tradition to its logical conclusion, the Klephts can function both as brigands and as mercenaries, depending on which is the most profitable.

There aren't really any requirements on becoming a klepht. Even though most of them were originally Armatoloi, as long as you know how to shoot and are willing to get your hands dirty you are pretty much welcome to the team.
Tolerant to a fault, they have no issues recruiting foreigners like Nantics, Goblins and even Grasshopper folk.

With them being a stubborn stain to the beauty of Soukos, the Klephts have contributed greatly to the Armatoloi's terrible reputation.

Many thanks for writing the background for these fellows. I was meaning to do it a bit later but this saves me the trouble. Now I have a few additional ideas related to them. Firstly they originated from a fast growing group of lower class commoners from the Soukan fishing towns and inland villages who took up weapons easier to learn and purchase than the enchanted weapons used by hoplites such as rifles. They used their combat training to do things like repel attacks by monsters on their villages as the national army typically ignores the smaller villages and has a miniscule presence in them, if they even have a presence at all as many smaller cities have to make do without the protection of hoplites. This gained the Armatoloi a great deal of respect among the common folk of these cities and for the next decade they formed a sort of unofficial militia. Even then the hoplites refused to acknowledge them and incorporate these warriors into the greater army calling them vagabonds and unskilled fools. But time passed yet and by the end of the decade the Armatoloi were beloved by the common folk of the villages for their quick response time to threats and skilled use of firearms. The national army had little choice but to officially endorse the organization and incorporated it in the form of a levy. This system was useful for two reasons, firstly it allowed for lower class citizens who would not be able to pay the upkeep for the gear given to hoplites to still serve and secondly it would allow a secondary set of warriors to defend the smaller cities and villages of Soukos which don't count as city-states. The levy recruits residents from both city-states and villages for training in the techniques of the Armatoloi with a new law making it mandatory for a city with over ten thousand inhabitants having to supply at least a thousand troops. This has led to their larger fishing towns providing about a hundred thousand troops during wartime.
>>
>>78273088
I did just now
>>
>>78273606

The amount of commoners who enlist in the Armalotoi greatly bolster the ranks of the Soukan army adding about two million troops because of how much troops city-states provide having a fairly large lower class alongside the amount of fishing villages they have sending soldiers. Additionally as shown in the picture (just imagine the legionaries are hoplites instead) above many regiments of Armalotoi have also attained many pieces of technology that aren't used in conventional Soukan tactics such as tanks. Sometimes if a tank does do particularly well it earns the grudging respect of Athienian priests so a similar process to what they do with their artillery occurs with blessings being bestowed upon the tank granting it several magical properties through the power of their gods.

Additionally from what I can tell the traitorous Klepths travel abroad as you mentioned Voluntas Klepths existing. I assume Klepths work as mercenaries sometimes then?
>>

I don't see any changes minus the Voluntas Pact section being slightly changed. What did you update?

There are several groups of Klephts who have decided to make their fortune abroad, using their skills to their advantage.
As most groups have a pretty lax recruitment policy, it is common for them to recruit locals to their band.
There are many reasons as to why one becomes a klepht.
For some its because they have to flee from vendettas or taxes, debts and reprisals.
Others simply because they view it as a great opportunity to make a fortune.

>Great War/World Interlude 6 Months after the Battle of Hurtz

>After an inconclusive battle at the city of Hurtz battlelines stabilize as millions of Ercaenmedian and Belkan recruits are brought to the front line. Alkor violates the neutrality of the southern states to bring a joint Aesnarian-Alkorian Army overland into Ercaenmedia, battles are fierce all throughout the country as each side prepares for its next offensive.

>In Nantes a restoration is declared as Prince Otto Wessenfeld announces his claim to the long vacant Nantean Throne. His claim is strongly opposed by the Nantes Republic but as it is backed by several Knightly Orders (who had long been crusading against Yr) the State looks for foreign aid against the usurpers. The Prince is wildly popular in Nantes for actually fighting the Yrrians instead of just wasting funds.

>Alkor convinces the Second Empire to join it's war against Belkan. The Empire had long held a grudge against the nation after Belkan Crusaders had razed it's territories in Flickfowl on their journey to the tomb of the demigod Al-Juh-Bra in the Sultanate.

>The Sultanate declares it's alliance with Belkan and begin to plan attacks on Alkorian Naval bases in Southern Autia

>The Tortles declare neutrality but secretly begin arming both sides with experimental weaponry for indepth testing

>The Shahdom, while not declaring war on Alkor, begins to expand its influence in Southern Autia with Alkor focused elsewhere.

Will continue, let me know if anything seems too out of place.

The Union Public Observers, these folk are ordered by the Union Elites to stand around and watch for any possible suspicious activities. They wear a pair of goggles attuned to hear any magic frequencies in a 1 kilometer radius, and some advanced lenses that can zoom in to see someone from extraordinarily far distances. While most citizens can't help but crack a smile at the sight of them, they make sure not to show it, as it is a quick way to get a fine and a smack to the face. A UPO's standard armament consists of an easy to conceal mace, as flintlocks and fire lances make far too much noise for their delicate ears. Because of this many freedom fighters and anti-Union activists tend to carry firecrackers with them.

I'm gonna write some more stuff on IBRU soon, but I gotta do some other stuff first.
>>
>>78283240
Wait actually what periods have you covered?
>>
>>78283751
I'm fairly sure I've covered Classical Greece as the overall aesthetic for the place, Minoan Greece as Craetus is literally just Crete but I may make the differences from other city-states more apparent later like a different language, Greek under the Macedonians because Macedinios is just Macedonia, Ottoman Greece because of the Armalotoi, the villages and cities outside of the city-states are close enough to Byzantine Greece. The remaining periods (minus Roman Greece as nothing much changed then and I've used Roman elements in parts of them as well) haven't been covered. Apologies if I get the actual names for these time periods wrong.
>>
>>78281101
>>78280596
Looks more like Alkorian Marine pistols.
>>
>>78284096
I thought they'd have things like carbines or other types of rifles. These guns also serve as axes which works for the Armalotoi lore are from what I can tell they only get in melee when they have to so using their extra guns as weapons after shooting them would make sense.
>>
>>78283961
The only ones left that I can think of right now is Mycenaean Greece and WW1 onwards
>>
>>78284149
Now for Mycenean Greece I can't think of anything at the moment so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Same applies for WW1, I'm not sure how to include their ground infantry and artillery during the time period into Soukos but I want to as it looks so cool. Maybe as a large organization of outriders who excel in trench warfare and modern artillery?
>>
>>78284472
Like this artillery belonging to the Greeks during this time.
>>
>>78284472
>>78284481
I gave the Armalotoi tanks as shown in an earlier cool looking image I found so I guess these people would be more focused on weaponry like slower field artillery.
>>
>>78284472
>>78284481
>>78284596
Alright here's my current idea for these people.

Among the Armalotoi levy there exists elite bands of veterans known as the Evzones. These warriors are either wealthy enough to purchase higher quality weapons than the flintlocks, sabers and axes used by most Armalotoi or are veteran Armalotoi who have earned such weapons. These senior warriors commonly use gear like enchanted repeating rifles for their baseline weaponry and have perfected the Armalotoi doctrine of stealth based combat and guerilla warfare. Alongside their rifles they additionally wear khaki uniforms spun with silk from an Arachne (a giant spider monster with feminine traits native to Soukos) giving them great durability and marking them apart from others as they either lead a regiment of Armalotoi or serve in a regiment fully comprised of other Evzones. They carry with them cutting edge weaponry a step further than their levied comrades such as magitech mountain guns, weapons lacking the sheer damage in a single round a dragon killer ballista has but with a far quicker firing speed making it ideal for wiping out charging regiments and for moving around quickly. Due to their far higher quality equipment and training than the other Armalotoi many hoplites have ended up somewhat admiring the Evzones, and their track record as efficient warriors are one of the reasons the Armalotoi are still respected by the Soukans.
>>
>>78284149
>>78284472
Temple Isle is babylonian/sumerian with a sea people themed military, which is roughly contemporary with mycenean Greece, though maybe a bit aesthetically different.
>>
>>78285177
In that case I won't go much into a Mycenean inspired organization or location for Soukos. And if that's true I'm fairly sure all important Greek time periods minus modern times for obvious reasons were added to the nation which is cool.

Yeah I do not believe we would have the manufacturing facilities to make any tanks. The sheer amount of industry and resources not to mention scientific progress that needs to happen before you produce even the shittiest tank is enormous. Look at the world we live in, only a handfull of countries ever produced their own tanks and even fewer produced good ones. I was recently reading up on a domestic tank the swiss were trying to make at the onset of the so called cold war. The fire control was fucked so badly that it fired when you turned on the tank's heater some times.

>>78286907
That sounds hilarious. I assume the Klepths are looking to have a revolution against the Soukan hierarchy so they spent a good deal of the money sent to their cause on purchasing tanks. Alkor's probably the one selling them because Belkan is allied to Soukos which fits in its character of holding proxy wars meant to weaken others. Belkan probably sold a few tanks to the republic though which would be used by the Praetorian Guard as a good deal of them are Nantic humans meaning a fraction of them would know how to operate one.

Makes sense to me, sorry for randomly adding the ability tanks to a nation they don't fit in at all. Also possible Soukan civil war? I mean the Klepths seem like a fairly large organization and some of them could pose as the Armatoloi who are popular among the smaller Soukan cities and city-states to get their favor and secede from the greater nation and attack the larger city-states. Makes sense given that the real Klepths were insurgents against the Ottomans ruling Greece.

Naftio:

This port city-state serves as one of the biggest trading hubs of Soukos. Originally funded by Naftis, patron demigod of sailing and home to the Gorgons, it is now managed entirely by merchant guilds, adhering to money more than Soukan law. Here, seeing ships and peoples from all around the world of all factions(pirates included), from Nantics and Eritroans to even kangoos and Mousterians is commonplace. This city has something for everyone, as long as you can pay. Want to leave Rhinolsol for some reason? All you gotta do is give money to the right people. Perhaps you may want to buy special foreign weapons, or even a tank maybe. In spite of how corrupt this city appears to be, you can find opportunities at any corner. Even though it is now mostly known as a trading city, it still has a strong naval tradition rivaling Cornithus. Its quality ships and hardened sailors are the true strength of this city.
>>
>>78287232
Soukos will have to be terribly damaged economically for it to have a serious civil war.
Also, the klephts are in here are about as organized as your regular brigands, following a single leader and doing their own thing.
Unless if there is someone among them who is strong and charismatic enough to unite them
>>
>>78286907
How about Gabaet? They have had several secret trade deals with Yr, including one where they gave away some of the blueprints of their steam trains to Yr in exchange for some corpses of Iron Beasts to examine. It wouldn't be a stretch to consider that they would have some of the most advanced non-Yrrian tanks.

>>
>>78287731
Looks more like something Alkor would use, their tanks are basically horseless carriages with a cannon haphazardly slapped onto them.
>>
>>78287821
In fact, I'm not even sure if most of them would have a proper steam engine build into them, they might just be magically propelled forward for a few feet.
>>
So from what I can tell

Yr: Best tanks out of any nation, tough and maneuverable with swiveling guns. Called Iron Beasts by the Yrrians and have a form of sentience to them, also capable of being created in metallic eggs but these tanklettes are very kindhearted and such are seen as weaklings. Have several variants, also have made a sci fi tank equal to an elven dragon in strength and even superior from long range

Gabaet: Toughest tanks but slightly slower and less room to rotate guns. Made through clandestine deals with Yr to learn how to make one and look more like train cars than your standard tank

Belkan: Heavy tanks with a decent amount of firepower, not as much as Yrrian ones but they work. Can get pretty large in size and have a black color scheme from what the art I've seen of them shows

Alkor: Take a wagon, enchant it, slap some guns on it and call it a tank. Have some higher tech steam powered tanks but most of them are just magic war wagons

Sultanate of Miqdaad: Apparently learned how to make tanks through several large bribes to Nantic merchants (probably Belkan and Alkorian ones) who have blueprints. One of their nobles spent a shitton of money acquiring the necessary materials and warehouses to produce them, fancy looking magical tanks but tougher to make for them then most other nations. Giant war elephants are more ubiquitous and used more often as their "tanks" in battles

Tortle Realms: Have tank sized tortoises outfitted with all sorts of advanced equipment, not as fast as most tanks but way more firepower because of the higher power guns the Tortles pack

I think those are all the nations stated to have have their own tanks. The Tortles' "tank" is somewhat questionable but it works

Pretty bad I'm assuming. They've definitely lost the territory they just conquered. Now I'm not sure if there'll be any pushes into their main territory as it's pretty well defended because of those mountains that are in the north and south of Ercaenepolis but a force might try and push through into their homeland.
>>
>>78289438
Yeah I can agree on that we've gone a bit overboard, while they're cool I think the usage and availability (not to mention reliability) of these tanks should be quite scarce and limited. I think they should be costly to build and even more expensive to lose in battle, so they would only be used when absolutely necessary. Though even the shittiest Alkorian tank can wreak havoc on a small town, even it would cost a lot of gold to replace. The obvious exception would be Yr (and maybe Gabaet), as a large chunk of their population consists of living tanks.

On the other hand, I strongly encourage naval combat to be over the top, we have Alkor with steam paddle ships with big moving turrets, the Belkan Imperial Navy still believing in the supremacy of the broadside in naval warfare, with their ships being heavily armored and hundreds of cannons poking out everywhere, and Soukos with their ships having four ballistas stacked on top of each other. Perhaps Ercaenmedia can weaponize their Ekranoplans (pic related) stationed at the northeastern harbor city known as Kotwica Bay? After all, there sure as hell wont be any cruises to Rinolsol anytime soon.
>>
>>78290419
To add a bit to this, how many wars has Rinolsol been subject to by this point? I mean for an island that if it was in real life would probably just be slightly over the size of Madagascar given people stating that Autia is 1.5 times the size of the lower 48 states the fact that the borders keep changing so much times and that so much wars keep happening in it is confusing. There's been 2 wars in Autia written about so far I believe and I think there's been about 4 in Rinolsol.
>>
>>78290620
It's cursed to be eternally shafted by political conflict, it's residents beg for peace, but its leaders know only war.
>>
>>78289004
>>78290419
I think something like this wouldn't be too farfetched in Western Autia, looks like the main Nantic nations are in a weird kind of 17th-19th century tech level with fairly widespread steampower.

The Ercaenmedians also had one Superheavy Tank but I'm pretty sure it left the country bankrupt.
>>
>>78290769
Has anyone considered some sort of open borders treaty and just be satisfied with the land they own? This nonstop back and forth war between everyone in Rinsolol always sending back some sort of reinforcements is just getting kind of annoying to me seeing how often it's popping up.
>>

The way I'm fluffing it is that in Belkan mythology one of the demigod founders of their nation, as well as a significant number of his host, were warriors from the Sultanate driven north along with the other sons of Ace to find a new home land. There Al-Juh-Bra and his compatriots met the fierce northerner tribes, and also a fierce horde of demons that had been ravaging all of the lands. The followers of Ace and Northmen fought together as allies with the tribesmen, after a hard fought battle the Demon army were vanquished and in gratitude the men of the North swore their allegiance forever to the God Ace and his Sons.

This would lead to the founding of the first Belkan Kingdoms as each of the great warriors divided up the land to be ruled by himself and those that followed him. With all of the Lords agreeing to elect a Razgriz (High King or Emperor) whenever the Kingdoms of Ace need to unite to face internal strife or foreign threats.

Al-Juh-Bra eventually returned home to his homeland after fifty years of rule swearing to remind the people there of the God who watched over them all from the skies, he never returned to Belkan.

So have Miqaddite influence be tied directly to Belkan's founding myth, with that being the reason for the good relations between the two countries.

A view of the blasted wasteland that is Ignis. Shown here is one of the many ash and lava covered valleys that make the land up as the newly formed ash-drakes travel through the skies. This land appears a hellscape to most but to the Sartyrians it is their ancestral home. And yet it is a home no longer however, for in the War of Ice and Wrath many Sartyrians fled the land with the remaining Nicsenoreans as those who refused to leave were twisted by the World Flame into the terrifying flame demons known as the Burnt. The renewed presence of the World Flame in Ignis has led to it drifting towards Autia leading to an even larger increase of volcanic activity on the continent as it has recently made contact with the landmass, smashing through Poole Harbor on the way. The collision has led to the Burned and their legions of great ashen dragons, sentient spells, floating castles firing beams of heat and preexisting fire constructs such as the Balrogs spilling out all throughout Southern Autia and steadily heading upwards. They seem to particularly be seeking out the Eldr and Rust Desert for unknown reasons based on the path they've set out on mostly ignoring the locals with those who encountered or even in some foolish cases tried to fight likening them more to a living natural disaster than a consistent army. The forces dispatched so far as only a small force of outriders meant to chart a path and due to this are mostly avoiding combat with the primary army waiting until the path is cleared so they may disembark from their home and travel to the Eldr, perhaps to absorb its chaotic power for the World Flame and give the flame a body. This is a possibility the now unified southern elves will not let come to pass however as their diviners have seen visions of the World Flame becoming a physical god and a tide of flame engulfing the world should this come to fruition with the Burnt reaching the Eldr.
>>
>>78296534
I reached the character limit so I'll finish it up here.

This vision is the primary reason the elves have sailed to Autia. They seek to battle the armies of the Burned head on and are currently travelling across the world to recruit other elves and whatever other nations will agree to assist them in this war of unimaginable proportions. Currently the first nation willing to lend their warriors are the Eannites of Temple Isle and the largest section of their fleet has reached northern Autia and is looking to see if any of the northern nations will lend their aid to prevent the possible annihilation of the continent.

>>78296090
A Sartyrian fortress, now belonging to the Burned. These castles far outstrip the works of lesser races in scale and intricacy and have made up the massive walls that the foolish nations who've tried to invade Ignis previously have died upon. They have switched hands recently as the Burned occupied them with many castles gaining a massive infusion of energy by the now fully activated World Flame leading them to float in the sky serving as mobile stations where leagues of fell constructs, drakes and dragons are released from alongside beams of pure magical energy and fire being released from all the spires that make these fortresses up.

They are wearing costumes that make them look like the local landsharks, tough beasts with a mean streak a mile wide occasionally tamed and used as a mount by nobles or a warbeast. Real landsharks are about as big as one of the lions that inhabit Aesanaeria however so their disguise is fooling absolutely no one.

Seeing as you seem to know how to edit the map well enough anon, would you mind having the continent of Ignis be moved to the southeast of Autia with its northern section shutting off the sea connected to Voluntas Pact and Aesanaeria making it an inland sea? Apparently Ignis started moving after the World Flame went into full power mode and has collided with southern Autia as the Burned are waiting until ordered to head northeast to the Eldr and Rust Desert. The southern elves are also going to fight them to prevent this from happening. On its path apparently Poole Harbor was fused with Ignis having collided as it moved over to Autia.
>>
>>78311478
So is Ignis strong enough to push islands?
Is it supposed to be like merged completely with Autia or does it have some space inbetween?
>>
>>78311909
Well given that it’s a moving continent using literal volcanoes as engines to power its movement somewhat I assume it could push islands. And the collision would have made it merge completely with Autia in the area I mention with the sea being blocked off from the rest of the ocean.

To be honest, I think it would be more interesting story-wise if Ignis lost momentum just before being able to steer close and collide with the Autian continent, so that it would be uncomfortably close to the Kingdom of Eritroans but still leaves enough sea for ships to pass trough. It might also prevent Ignis from colliding with Poole Harbour, which I personally don't want as doing so would would mean getting rid of a quite interesting location.

Plus it prevents the map from looking incredibly cluttered.

Currently there’s a big war in northern Autia with a smaller scale one in Lapus and a slightly larger one than the Lapus war going on in Flickfowl. The Shahdom is just chilling currently being cool camel riding Persians but got some extra lore in their elite band of warriors 10,00 strong called The Immortals. There was also the highest scale war yet down in the south vs the Sartyrians and Nicsenoreans (fire and snow elves respectively). Both sides eventually made peace and fled with the people staying behind becoming spooky fire demons and Ignis is had collided with Autia and they’re fucking the southwest coast up. The Union is also currently having a cold war with Sostenfiel (fantasy Spain) in Tismo with the Khanate attacking Sostenfiel and the C. L. H. C (hobgoblin land). The southeast of Autian is still pretty calm though with the Shahdom remaining the premier power in the area.

Displayed here is the successful firing of a massive test rocket developed by the Miqdaadites meant to be piloted by a wind mage aviator inside who would steer it towards its destination and then flee via flying carpet. Following this the rocket would collide with its target creating a massive explosion, thus inventing quite possibly the largest missile developed in the world to this day.
>>
>>78328909
I’ll just be posting a couple of cool images related to the Sultanate I found while writing some lore. In the last few years, the giant missiles which appear as shown in the image above have been further developed as of late as the production has sped up heavily due to tensions between the Second Empire. They have received a more advanced new appearance after the initial test was a success with the missiles now having a far easier to control and more efficient design alongside being a good bit larger. The rockets are all on standby to fire should war break out.

Now shown in pic related is a Celestial Chariot of Miqdaad, essentially a golden floating manor that was blessed by the Miqdaadites god himself. These strange floating creations are one of the Miqdaadites own superweapons due to the primary combat ability they possess of summoning massive beams of pure light (think magic orbital strikes) to fall from the sky burning through whatever they touch alongside powerful magical warding lessening damage from conventional weaponry as beams of radiance are constantly being fired downwards. Only five of these are currently in existence, and if all five of these were to ever be gathered in one place and had summon a beam down, a single massive combined beam would shoot down from the sky and exploding following contact with the ground. The ensuing explosion would be enough to wipe a city of the map like it never existed at the expense of the Celestial Chariots being out of commission for a month due to the energy expended in performing that task.
>>
>>78329355
Now here’s a normal chariot instead, albeit an extremely expensive enchanted five camel (please ignore the horses) chariot leading an army. These mighty chariots are considered just as powerful as a tank due to how large they are and the many enchantments such as a blessing of speed applied to them allowing them to charge headfirst into a crowd without resistance and are especially beloved by the Miqdaadites ever since the founding of the Sultanate. As such camel chariots exist in several forms with various uses all around the Sultanate with the most powerful versions such as this chariot being more expensive to manufacture than an Autian heavy tank. This chariot in particular is actually being steered by a djinn in mortal form serving as an advisor to the maharajah next to him. The djinns and efreets are seen as the original children of Miqdaad who were bound to the service of the first prophet Aasub once he spread the scripture of Miqdaad across the desert and are now worshipped themselves as demigods in a large pantheon in which they rank directly under Miqdaad himself.

Anyone remember the name of the Niscenorean King?

I think I've figured out a naming scheme for Sartyrians, at least the higher up ones, where the goal of their society is to gain titles and epithets that replace their names.

With birth names only being used to denote family lineage but beyond that their title is the only name that matters. Because of their age many Sartyrians might not remember their birth names as well.

Well I'm the Nicsenorean anon and I never named him which I apologize for. I'll name him him Tarucca-Heru (horned master in Quenya which is the language I've been ripping the named of these characters from) then. His appearance is essentially a very tall elf wearing a glowing pair of white horns gifted to the current king by their god. Sounds a bit stupid I know but just bear with me here, I wasn't very creative when I thought this idea up.

It is cool and calm night on temple isle but the Priest-King of the Eannites, Ataam the Ever Blessed, sleeps restlessly. Just under two weeks from the departure of the Elves and the sect of warriors that chose to join them on their voyage, and the king has begun to be plagued by nightmares that feel too real to find comfort in his waking ihours. It is always the same dream. He watches on, looking out from the walls of his temple palace. Before him, his city burns. The nearest temple is best by foes, with its guards retreating to his palace. A single warrior, glowing like smoldering coals, strides up the steps of the ziggurat with malicious intent. A lone mage, High Priest of this temple, stands opposite the intruder. As the very air dances in the heat of the invader, power surges from the sorcerer. With eldritch lightning the mage-priest awakens the colossal statues that stand guard over the holy site. The burning foe moves forward to meet them.
The king is awake. His skin warm. His heart is racing. This is surely the change heralded by the elves. Is surely the fate of whole world. How can it be averted?
>>
>>78335994

An elder Storm Dragon facing a Napanese demon monk, sworn enemies to the monks of the Iron Crown due to the wrathful nature they possess and their dangerous teachings. The dragon in question resides within the mountains of Napan and is a variant of the oriental dragons found in eastern Autia and Tismo who are far more slender than other dragon variants and fly through a strange means of levitation instead of wings. On the topic of dragons in general however, while Sartyrian and Nicsenor hold the largest amount of the creatures alongside the largest specimens their dragons are not the most well known of the species due to the vast distance between the southern elves and most races. In most continents dragons are a rarer breed having gone extinct in western Autia altogether following the Chromatic Dragons in Srechund going extinct with only wyverns remaining but the aforementioned Storm Dragons do exist in regions like Napan and the Iron Crown where in rare circumstances they assist an army in battle. Other lesser subraces of dragon found throughout the world include the wyrms and lindworms belonging to the Puppet Clans alongside feral variants inhabiting The Dead Man's Hand, Lapus and Krraurah where races like the Orgrillons sometimes make use of them. Meanwhile the population of wyverns are the greatest in Rinolsol, specifically the mountains in Ercaenepolis while the population of drakes is greatest in Flickfowl where they are used by the armies of the Second Empire and the Sultanate while the golems have sentient metal variants. Rinolsol is also home to a few more subspecies such as their hydras and their drakons which resemble giant versions of wyrms more than actual dragons. Tismo also has a few subspecies such as the Black Dragons who are similar to Storm Dragons in nature but with breath of fire and a black appearance instead of the blue one belonging to the Storm Dragons and are used in many different forms by the Khanate.
>>
>>78350187
I was just gonna leave a small side comment but ended up writing a list of all dragons and dragon subspecies I remember throughout the world so I'll just finish it then.

Additionally the lizardfolk nations of Tismo possess with them, alongside the dinosaurs inhabiting their rainforests which they use to great effect in repelling Sostenfielian and gnome assaults on their land a race of great winged serpents called ampitheres. These creatures are seen as bringers of good harvests by the lizards whenever one is spotted and as such they commonly try to find the eggs of one and raise them. Ampitheres are by far the fastest out of all dragon subspecies outspeeding even the fastest purebred Ercaenmedian wyvern and are among the most deadly tools the lizards use to defend themselves mounting their greatest heroes and mages atop them and outfitting them with ancient magical gear said to be crafted by their froglike elders and mysterious god Kek. It is because of this these creatures they successfully managed to hold a lightning fast raid on a fleet of Sostenfielian airships alongside many companies of pterosaur riders headed their way smashing the mechanisms keeping the aerial battleship the fleet brought with them making it crash to the ground. Because of this and another similar failed attempted with a few smaller ships being destroyed that time the Sostenfielians have given up with sending airships into the communist lizards territory as they're busy sending most of their airships into more important endeavors and having planes bomb Union facilities manufacturing anti-magic weapons for the upcoming war. I've gotten extremely sidetracked but the final dragons and dragon subspecies I have to list are the ones belonging to the southern elves. I've already mentioned their dragons which still are the most numerous and largest among their species but the southern elves do have other subspecies such as the great wyverns and drakes they have living in their mountains.
>>
>>78350426
Oh and the lizards and southern elves do have merwyrms too. Krraurah probably has a few icy dragons with wings of literal ice or something like that with the Pengu taking some eggs and raising them up until the dragons grow older at which point they leave to find a mate. This is because I'm not sure if the Pengu have the magical capacity to make a dragon obey them or the manpower with enough strength to break one into submission like the others I mentioned here do. If they do have good magic or just commission their snow elf neighbors to make some magical headdress to make the dragon obey them then they keep it. Living in a similarly icy area as the Nicsenoreans they probably grow pretty big too from the conditions and fighting other predators. Not sure if there is enough of them for the Pengu to have more than a handful though as Krraurah is large and they're probably dispersed throughout it with enough distance between them to make finding a mate to breed with difficult.

>>78349560
A Snowy Gryphon, another inhabitant of Krraurah and variant of the griffin as the name implies. The Pengu love chasing these things around and catching them to ride as mounts.

The empty sea created following the destruction of Ignis has created an opportunity for many underground and waterbound races to safely take some aboveground territory for themselves due to having no competition in the area. As such the Aquaticans and Phinmin have colonized the regions alongside the Drow creating an underwater city guarded by a massive bubble of air within the crater this whole operation is based in. None of the races are particularly sure what'll happen if Ignis comes back but it'll be trouble for sure as the Burned will have little trouble in burning a a few cities. For now however they've gained their largest foothold aboveground, enough for them to become known and rightfully feared by the outside world.

Oh right, Aquatica is a thing. If the additional supplementary information anon is still here then I recommend this nation for the one you expand on next. From what I can tell if you combine all of Aquatica's combined territory including the new crater you'd get more land than the Union. To sort of counteract this size I'm thinking that whenever the Aquaticans make territory somewhere they do so around some kind of underwater magical event like a mystical whirlpool and once territory is inhabited they rarely go out and see the greater world except in rare cases like the full moon. Additionally being made up of many different races I'm thinking the fishfolk could be the leaders and living the closest to the underwater anomalies they live in has mutated them into looking like Lovecraft's deep ones and when some important event to them occurs they come out and leave their seas temporarily for some dark, unknown purpose. Additionally whalefolk and mantis shrimpfolk could serve as a sort of martial caste providing the warriors that make up their army, merfolk are their diplomats, nautilusfolk are scouts and farmers and so on. Their tech level is up to you to decide if you want to expand on them.

A Golem made by a mad Harlbourgian inventor. The Inventor in question, Lord Michael Pensely, made the machine out of iron and copper and with one goal only:the destruction of Autia's homosexual population.

To this end he designed the Golem to take and absorb lightning strikes within itself both as a power source and a sort of weapon. The Faggot Assaulter now roams Autia asking everyone it meets if they are a homosexual and attempting to obliterate them if they say yes no matter the cost.

The golem is currently assaulting Hoogivs due to the region having the highest population of homosexuals and people of other sexualities in it. This is the largest threat the militia of Hoogivs have faced since their founding due to little harm coming to Hoogivs minus an occasional group of bandits, one of which was formerly the largest threat to the canton but was eventually taken out from a distance with crossbows.

This actually might make for a funny little war, should I roll for the robot and Hoogivs? The place won't be destroyed and unless Hoogivs rolls terribly no one will die, it'll just be a funny little battle.

I think Autians would be mainly killing each other over issues of nationality and race than sexuality.

Actually several nations have tried to invade Utopia in the past, you may have meant Hoogivs.

Otherwise agreed.

The Kingdom of Yr has their own variant of this equipment, being used primarily to hear any incoming airships from far away.

What's the political situation in southern Autia at the moment?

Second Empire is supposedly at war with Brazilistan if anyone bothers to write for it.

I was doing some writing for the Second Empire, but got distracted by other projects, may just dump what I have tonight.

Also, Shahdom is quietly trying to expand its influence, Ignis is invading southwest Autia, Temple Isle is now affiliated with the elves, and the Sultanate is planning attacks on Alkorian holdings in the south.

Sneed is having issues with a Sneedian insurgency deep within the jungles located on the border between Sneed and Brazillistan. It started off as just a minor skirmish but has since devolved into a full on war

Wait where did that come from? I made the Sultanate and don't remember anything happening related to Alkor aside from repelling their ships who were being obnoxious in the harbor. The southern Alkorian fleet did get kicked out and are probably annoyed but nothing further then that really happened.

Oh and here is an image of a Miqdaadite knight. They are quite similar in Belkan knights due to a group of knights from the Sultanate settling down and preaching their martial traditions in the nation long ago. Both are fierce warriors armored in plate, the only real difference is appearance due to the similarities in knightly traditions. Miqdaadite knights serve as bodyguards to celestial mages when not in direct combat.

It comes from the latest list of potential plot hooks for war stories.

Hard to say if it is canon or not since these lists often get retconned by the next list that comes along.

Will most likely finish War of Wrath and Ice next thread just because I've been struggling to find time to type recently but don't worry it will be done.

Also after that going to write up the crushing Alkorian - EU counterattack in Rhinosol, also has anyone done indepth Lore on Ercaenmedia yet? I might want to expand a bit more on some of it's cities and different locations.
>>
>>78382362
So is this going to be a situation where most of the Ercaenmedians who escaped the invasion of their homeland are living in Ercaenepolis following it getting taken back? In that case I'm guessing Belkan is going to show up to help kick them out. Also when is there going to be that attack in the Dead Man's Hand on the human nations there that's been getting mentioned?

I don't think anything has been done in depth on Ercaenmedi yet. They got a three post general description back on thread 3, but most of their lore is related to warfare and is scattered between many threads.

Miqdaadite Baglah guarded by both a djinn and an efreet. These things are absolutely massive and quite fast too for what it's worth due to their enchanted sails made by celestial mages to always sail like the wind is in them. They possess batteries of both cannons and the massive missile launchers the Miqdaadites are well known for alongside mages performing various tasks aboard alongside djinns like shown here.

That and I'd say the remainder have fled to Aesnaria through the nations on it's borders, creating a fairly large buildup of refugees for its neighbors.

And do you mean the Ogrillions? I believe it's been mentioned that they were planning an attack but I don't know if it's been undertaken yet.
>>
>>78389380
I doubt tens of millions of people will flee their home country. Also, from what I can tell, even though Belkan and Soukos control the coastlines of Ercaenmedi, there is still large amounts of fighting going on in the center of the country.
>>
>>78388068

Here's an image of one of those rocket batteries I keep mentioning firing large iron-cased rockets. This is a version meant for ground warfare with larger versions being used in the Miqdaadites ships blowing sizeable chunks of the enemies deck into the air from a distance while cannons fire away and mages create a storm over their enemies as lightning strikes their ships.

>>78389380
Yeah I meant the Ogrillions. By the way should the Belkan anon (or Soukos anon, depends on who's willing) roll for the second attack on Ercaenepolis?
>>
>>78389629
Should the parties roll again for the second phase of the war?
>>
>>78389766
We should probably give the guy writing the war a chance to catch up, I think he is the one working on The War of Ice and Wrath right now, and it looks like he has one or two other projects in mind as well.
>>
>>78390239
I mean you're not wrong there but it's not like there'll be much of an issue if the parties roll now. The writer can work on the other projects, it's not like the result being known necessitates him writing it immediately.
