That is indeed a problem. A lot of official and fan Dragonborn art is really close to being great, but is plagued by minor flaws:
>head and neck are proportionally way too big
>eyes are big and round, taking away from the menacing nature of a fucking dragon man
>body is too human to the point of looking like a furry oc
>feet are so gigantic and velociraptor-like that they look dumb
>arms are too scrawny
>jaw is either way too stubby and fat or long and ridiculous
>facial features are too rounded, tying in with the eyes problem
>the art itself does not exude the presence of the actual metallic/chromatic dragon that the dragonborn shares its appearance and behavior with
Picrel is a great take on a Black Dragonborn, because it has a Ganon-like presence which is thematically fitting.

These aren't a legit problem. Big eyes are characteristic of aerial predators with sharp eyesight like birds. And the enlarged head is due to if you use smaller head proportions you run into an anatomical issue where it looks like there's barely any room for a decent sized brain.

Big eyes and big heads are a common characteristic of babies and young children, which is why cutesy artstyles like My Little Pony give the characters huge balloon eyes. Giving anthro races big eyes always makes the character look like a furry. Take Matt Mercer's Draconblood for example: the eyes and rounded facial features take away from the imposing nature of a literal dragon man that can set a room full of people on fire at any moment. Maybe thats the entire point behind them, since they're a more civilized incarnation, but those features just dont line up with the concept and make the face look more like a furry OC. The over-enlarged head looks really dumb and accentuates the baby eyes. Furry's have an almost pedophilic tendency to design their OC's as being something innately attractive to children and a LOT of dragonborn art really makes me uncomfortable because of that.
