>Be me, 100 year old Eldar>Live on a very minor Craftworld with a nobility and royalty styled ruling system>The craftworld was separated into parts, all controlled by Dukes, who as well had their territories split and controlled by lower ranked nobility, and so on>The Dukes formed the High Council, where they decided whatever happens in the craftworld, and overseeing them was the Royal family>I was born into one of the Duke houses, which was both a blessing and a terrible curse>I started on the Path of the Thought Talker as soon as I could, to the dismay of my father>Ended up mastering it surprisingly fast and with none of the feared 'Warp Accidents'>Since I had nothing left to do regarding that path, I ended up leaving it for the Path of the Scholar>However, as time passed, I kept getting a weird gut feeling of sorts, that something was missing, that something was wrong
>>77704221>Soon enough, the feeling started getting worse, and I started realizing what it was>It was dread, it was an incredibly powerful feeling of dread looming over me, gripping at my very soul>I tried to ask some eldar I knew that were on the Path of the Warrior to help me train as an extra path of sorts, told them it was due to a feeling I had and an urge to get better at fighting>They were not entirely convinced so I told them it was because I was denied my request to enter the Path of The warrior>It took a while but I managed to convince them to help me
>>77704291>Things were going well, I was picking up a lot of things regarding fighting during the extra lessons I was taking>Others were getting worried that I was overworking myself, I assured them that I was fine, and that there is a very important thing I must acomplish>They seemed satisfied with this answer and left me to my studies and work>Things seemed to have been going well for quite a few years, the feeling of dread having all but disappeared>All until one day when it got worse, much... much worse>I do not believe I've ever panicked that badly before, and I hope that I will never panic like that again>Thankfully the others did not notice>I calmed myself down over the course of a few days and came upon an epiphany of sorts, a feeling I had on what I needed to do
>>77704321>I have left my path, again, my father was not happy about it >But dealing with the nobility of the craftworld requires one to be very good at sweet talking, and thankfully, I was well aware how my father and the nobility of my Craftworld worked, so convincing my father and the questioning nobles was not quite a breeze>The new Path that I have entered was one my father really wasn't excited about>The Wych Path, or the Path of the Seer was, in the Craftworld, considered the hardest and most dangerous path one could take>Hence, there were a very small amount of Eldar that are on that path in the Craftworld>However this time it is different than when I chose the path of the Thought Talker, which is considered one of the safest ones you could take when it comes to using the powers of the warp>This time I was doing something a lot... riskier>I was trying to explore my own mind, to pick at it and find whatever causes these weird feelings
>>77704335>As time passed I also started helping and learning from the Bonesingers, one of the very few branches of the Path of the Seer that aren't considered some kind of taboo or evil thing>I've been getting some weird... visions of sorts, of... things... whatever they were, some moving images, some weird little trinkets, along with weird drawings of creatures and warriors>It was an odd thing, as they seemed more like memories than anything else>I avoided mentioning it to others, especially my teachers, as I've already caused enough trouble and I would like my father not to have more reasons to think I am possessed by something>I did however write them all down in a journal to keep note of them all>As time passed, something else happened>While meditating and trying to figure out just what exactly is going on in my head, I did actually manage to find... something>It felt like a seal of sorts, but not like any I've seen before>It was not exactly like everything related to seals and locks are supposed to be, it felt chaotic, like it was there but also not there...>In a way it reminded me of the way the warp is, but as I tried to prod it, I got a respose I was not expecting
>>77704407>The seal broke, and with it, memories appeared, memories that felt... very familiar>But eventually, I realized it>They were my memories, memories I knew all too well and were even more familiar to me than the ones I lived in this life>I now know who I was, and what I am>I was human, and now, I am a space elf in one of the worst settings possible>This caused me a sense of urgency and I did confirm something, according to the records I should be in the early great crusade era...>Something slowly dawned on me, which could save a lot of trouble and bullshit from happening>I could potentially try and prevent the heresy... to save humanity>But there is a very big question on my mind>Should I even prevent it? I am not a human anymore, I have no reason to care about their fate>On the other hand preventing it could help me, and eldar in general by quite a lot, maybe even potentially help save our dying race>...it's quite obvious on what I will try to do>I have to try and prevent the heresy from happening>I am biased after all
>>77704433>My preparations have started since quite a while now, but the others are starting to be suspicious of me, especially those on the Path of the Seer under the royal family>I think they've caught on that I posses something I am not supposed to have>My worries were proven true when I've started to notice quite a few eldar spying on me at different times>Others who I haven't really talked with before have been trying to get friendly with me>So I starter preparing>Found out where each type of ship could be found and learned to pilot them... is what I wish I could say>Turns out I am incredibly bad at flying those things, especially the bigger ones>But I don't really have much I can do, since there are very few people I can trust in this place>From them, I could narrow it down to a few who would even consider helping and coming with me in the worst case scenario
>>77704457>First is Karansys, he is a lot older than me, though I'm not entirely sure by how much, he's known me since I was young after all>He used to spoil me with gifts and stories about the things and people he encountered in his youth, not unlike a spoiling uncle>Karansys used to be an outcast for quite a lot of years, some of the stories he told me were even hinting at him being a corsair for a while>He was amused when I asked him that, so I assume I was right with my assumption>He's come back since a long time ago though, became a Striking Scorpion, and has been once since>Karansys became an exarch when I was very young and he was, in a way, proud of it>My praises and awe at his stories and achievements sure helped him feel that way>As for others... well... I do not know any other eldar that would side with me when things finally go to shit
>>77704490>Technically there's also Yilith but I am unsure about her in general>She's a Howling Banshee, and, for all the things that she's done, I should trust her>She has helped me every time I had any issues, she was always incredibly friendly with me, hid things I did so as to not get me in trouble, she even took the blame for some of them>But there's just one thing, she's way too friendly, way too nice to me, and incredibly sincere, but I cannot fathom why>So I was suspicious of her, even with all of her actions and behaviour>After a bit of thinking I decided that if she offers to join then I shall happily allow it
>>77704528stuck here for a bit, I'll see if I can write a bit more before I head off to sleep. And if anyone cares, I'd appreciate it if it was archived.
Got Isekaid into the Warhammer 40K Galaxy as a space elf. By my stars and garters.
your work will be archived, seek me in time. for you know where I lurk.-Mask
>>77704528I'll continue tomorrow, hopefully the thread doesn't die. I need sleep.I am unsure if I should add more starting companions besides Karansys and Ylilith, what do you guys think?I would also greatly appreciate some more ideas or so.
>>77704696perhaps consider the timeline, is it a new one connected, or disconnected from cupanon. Also, take your time with this post you don't need to make it seem like it is a speed run.however, I will give you two suggestions IF your in CupAnon's timelineOne: wait for the OP to post what the Eldar council has determined to be the rules when it comes to interacting with the lore keeper. Two: determine how your craft world might react to the knowledge of joining the council. If this is a new timeline, slow down a bit. consolidate how your character interacts and how he might see the craftworld differently. This also gives you time to expand your connections to other eldar.
>>77704696Thanks for posting. Write slowly so you don't get burned out. About companions, take no more than you can flesh out, at least initially.
>>77704696This isn't /qst/
>>77704991This is not a place for (you) either.
>>77704991Good thing it isn't a quest then.
>>77704696Those two are enough. Until the other story gets advanced, you should focus on exploring eldar culture.Maybe make funny conparisons where eldanon introduces 21st/ 22nd century human culture to his craftworld inadvertedly as he tries to do stuff or make food he remembers. Explore how that would go down.Maybe he makes chicken tendies and his banshee waifu spreads the recipe to the rest of her shrine, earning him massive brownie points that he gets utterly flustered over?
>>77704991writefaggotry isnt a quest
>>77704696>more ideasFriends from the paths we hear less about would be interesting. Every craftworld character is pretty much a seer, warrior, or outcast. Maybe we take our buddy from the path of the artisan with us after he asks to come. We'll probably want someone from the path of the mariner/steersman for our ship. Bear in mind, Anon doesn't have to get all of his companions now, he can recruit from other craftworlds as he visits them. Below is a list of all the paths, hope it helps you pick which ones to integrate. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Eldar_Path
Oh, watching this glad you started.
>>77704839I would like to second this post and encourage expansion on the eldar faction-bump
Back, will try to update but it's going to be slow.>>77704839I wasn't planning on it to being the same timeline since I wouldn't want to be a bother to CupAnon concerning what would make sense or whatnot. But if CupAnon so wishes then it being connected is fine. I already have plans on what to happen, which have no conflict with any of the characters that the cupbearer interacted with. The story itself starts and is still currently quite a while before the cupbearer was even born.I'm going to try expanding on the craftworld while hopefully not going too much into noble politics and shenanigans.>>77705547Probably going to be just those two for a while, since the craftworld itself is quite a hostile place, resembling humanity's old nobles a lot more than any of the eldar would admit. So scheming and lust for power being everpresent.>>77706671From this craftworld I don't exactly plan for anyone else to actively join him. For the piloting of ships thing he has Karansys. And not all future companions will be eldar.
>>77715429Forgot my tag again
Bump. Make this story your own your not cup anons bitch
>>77715429 If you're distancing yourself from the other story then you could do some fun interactions between the emperor, malcador and eldanon when they realize he's got a human soul shaped like an eldar one.It would also be amusing to read about how eldanon acts so much like a normal human that other humans would get confused. Or how eldanon is still so awkward he spills his spaghetti everywhere trying to talk to servant girls.
>>77716073I actually forgot to mention this. The way of thinking and actions of our anxiety ridden eldar are always off. Since it is a weird combination of both types of souls, so the actions and behaviours will seem odd for both eldar and humans. Even something like movement, other eldar, for example, see it as being a lot more predatory like, while for humans, it being something more of a war dance instead of the usual flowing, almost floating motions of eldar.
>>77716120Good, now put that into a greentext story in a few different settings and let it play out. Let the amusement commence. Cegorach would be pleased.
>>77704528>I may or may not have made myself even more suspicious with what I've done.>Since I've technically become a bonesinger from all the times I've helped them, I decided to create something to help me relax and take my mind off of the doomed future of the universe, and soothe my ever growing anxiety>I have created miniatures>With paints>Of course I did have the foresight to only create eldar units as to avoid even more suspicion, along with avoiding making special characters>Surprisingly, they quickly became incredibly popular, even without actually recreating the wargame itself, the eldar happily assembling and painting them>It made me quite happy>But I quite quickly realized that I've made a mistake>A very grave and suspicious one>Albeit I realized that making other units and factions would be very suspicious, what I did not foresee is that certain units and constructs are the royal family's secret trump card>Nobody outside of the direct royal family even knows about them, let alone did they see them>How I realized this? Well Karansys was nice enough to tell me that I'm being observed by a lot of agents and assassins from the royal family>Another thing that was a bit worrying was the fact that Karansys somehow noticed this without alerting them at all>For a second I worried>But this is Karansys, he has always been with me and helped me no matter what>So I refuse to even think that he's working against me>Thankfully creating and making the miniatures did help with my evergrowing anxiety, along with the added bonus of the other nobility liking me a bit more>I have also started another project that will be a lot more challenging to accomplish, but will end up into quite a fun past time
>>77716392>>77716392please continue now im imagining humans and eldar arguing over who's wargame is better
>>77716392>On a more... annoying note, my father is pushing engagements and fiances on me>I know he really doesn't like me, but it is getting annoying at how obvious his intent is>All of the fiances are either from influential families, or very wealthy, and most have very bad reputations and personalities>So I tried to confront him about it>"Father... you cannot be serious.">"Of course I'm serious... You need a fiance. You should have already had one quite a while ago.">"But I neither want nor need one right now.">Father slams his fist on the desk>"I do not want to hear that from you, Jester. I've already had enough problems because of you and your stupid creations and shenanigans.">"My name is not 'Jester', and I-">"Silence. I've finished my point. Leave.">"Very well.">Simple to say that my talk with my father did not go well>But if I did not have ways to postpone this into oblivion then I would have no right to even be alive in this craftworld
Has anyone pastebin’d this thread?
>>77717448I don't know, I would put it on http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html but I am being incredibly confused about how it works
>>77717412Sorry I am trying to write more but I keep getting stuck on what exactly to tackle next..
>>77704221>The craftworld was separated into parts, all controlled by Dukes, who as well had their territories split and controlled by lower ranked nobilityI know that this is a fanfic of a very silly series, but how would that work? A craftworld is basically a giant spaceship, so would a dukedom be a floor of the ship, or a section demarked vertically, like one for the prow? Would there be a Barony of Engine #4 or other components of the ship?
>>77720773Actually yes in a way. From my knowledge craftworlds are incredibly big, being classified as 'planetoid-sized'. It being split and controlled by different families doesn't seem that weird to me.
>>77720906Actually, they are continent-sized ships. Not planet-sized ships. Also, well done with world (or... craftworld) building so far.
>>77721358I used the deffinition off of a wiki, it called them planetoid-size, so I assumed so.
>>77720773>>77720906Craftworlds are full of massive biodomes, each noble family probably runs one or more of them. Also there will probably be some cities along the hull of the craft world that serve as spaceports and homes of those who like gazing out into space. Again, some of these cities can serve as a stronghold of a noble clan.Eldar tech is highly automated, so the number of Eldar that spend most of their time maintaining and operating the craftworld is very small given their size. The main focus of nobles would be to provide civilian leadership (and in some cases military leadership depending on the craftworld) to ensure the people in their territories don't get bored or start squabbling among themselves about some trivial issue.
>>77721475Actually yes, it's one of the reasons why the miniatures were a hit, the nobles, and most eldar in general are incredibly bored, having nothing to do but trying to fuck each other over in political games and schemes.
>>77721499Are you going to thread this in with CupAnon have it be it's own separate thing?(If you thread it in I could see this guy be one of driving forces that made the eldar consider making a craftworld(s) council, debating whether to form an alliance with the mon'keigh)
>>77725168*... This in with CupAnon or have...
>>77725168As I have said above, I wasn't planning to, but if cupanon finds the concept and place itself interesting and feels like it will fit then maybe.
>>77725326love ur story so far something you might do to advance the story might be setting a time frame for the engagement leaving eldar anon a set time frame to get not only a plan of action together but also find loyal followers ready to become corsairs with him as he goes full Farscape (a TV show) and flies around the galaxy hunting down chaos and imperial relics/ ancient entities that further his goal
>>77725326just a thought. Remember internal monologues are storytelling too let us hear what your current thoughts are.
>>77717412>This... is no good...>I had what I think was a dream... but it felt different, it might have been an omen or a vision>I reviewed on the last things I did lately>Attended a ball with Karansys that was hosted by the first princess, where I was forced to dance with both the princes and the princesses>Karansys slipped away so he managed to avoid the nobles present>He had quite a nice laugh at my expense, knowing my distaste for such events and dancing>The bastard even forced me into a dance with him>I hate dancing>I left towards the garden after escaping from the noble's endless pestering and bickering about such and such miniature>I met with Yilith there and had a long chat with her>It was quite pleasant>She did manage to convince me to dance with her>I still hate dancing>Afterwards I went back and reunited with Karansys to head back to his villa>Now that I think back on it, he seemed quite alert, although he was hiding it really well... if I hadn't known him all my life then I doubt I would've realized it>If I look back and analize what I saw that night...>Ah...>I see it now>I was followed the entire time, there were eldar tailing me and probably noting down everything I said and did>Let me see if I can zoom in... Huh I can. Quite an interesting thing to do.>...yup, it's confirmed, the head of the royal family herself is after me>It was her personal unit>...this is not good...>I'm going to need a plan, and fast
>>77727152That's all for today, I'll head to bed and continue tomorrow. I'll answer any questions in the morning.
>>77727152we are indeed in some deep shit now. good luck private, and sleep well.
>>77727178Where do you live, it’s around 5:00 P:M EST?
>>77727178This is some good shit anon, I can't wait for more, bumping to keep the thread alive
thread survival bump
>>77727152wouldn'tt Eldrad notice you?
big biddie eldar bitches, that is all i wanted to say
I'm back.>>77733268What do you mean?
Eldrad will most likely come for you due to you maybe being able to actually warn the emperor.
>>77739229That is actually one of the goals of our eldar. Try to contact and convince eldrad to help.
>>77739293However, I do not know how would he react if he knew you were a mon-keigh reincarnate... He might just be highly confused at best or slightly disgusted at worse.
>>77739831That is something that I have planned, as well as possible interactions in case a meeting with the Emperor himself occurs
>>77739955Tbh was referring to Eldrad... but seeing the Emperor's reaction too works as well.It would be funny if Eldrad referred to you as a Lore keeper as well...Also, I am recording this with my 'Warp-sona'... Heh... maybe use it to 'discover' that you were not the only person reincarnated in this 'world'. Though no one else appears to have also been reborn in this particular 'timeline' as well.
>>77740409Yeah that was the first part, current goal is somehow reach and contact Eldrad as well as convince him for help.I do have certain plans, for which I'd need a nickname or name for the character of sorts, for a certain 'trick'. Which is also why I'm omitting certain important things, like the name of our eldar.I am also thinking of changing my tag, since it's a pain to type for everyone.
>>77740912also I should be finishing an update soon, but sadly I'm having issues with writing.
>>77740948its fine, take your time.Maybe use this time to describe where you are and whatnot, you know? Also, is it just me because they seem a little bit like Drukari.
>>77741839Like Drukari? In what way?
>>77741910Well, there appears to be political turmoil and when you described him being fallowed, it gave me a few hints... though that might be how I perceived it.Drukari are well known for their backstabbing, and 'assassinations' of rivals... although there is that one Craftworld (Saim-Hann) where the warrior cast doesn't interact with politics.
>>77742065Ahh. I wanted to make this particular craftworld a bit more... a lot more hostile than others.
So here is what I get from this craft world based on the descriptions you gave us so far1.) Highly aggressive, and most likely very territorial.2.) Feudal hierarchy3.) Wych, and seer paths are extremely dangerous.4.) other paths of the seer are considered taboos or evil. Except for the Bonesingers5.) Many seers are under the royal family.6.) Eldar can become 'outcasts' but can eventually return.7.) nobles were extremely bored.8.) Wraith units were a hidden trump card for the royal family.9.) Arranged marriages are a thing...Anything I've missed so far?
>>77743580Pretty sure outcasts are able to do that everywhere, if no then my bad. Most eldar there tend to have a lot of free time, but the nobles are an especially bad case with free time. Not all wraith units, the trump card being the wraithknights, among a few others.
>>77727152>My relaxing oriented project is going well, I have managed to create a computer... console... thing... and I'm currently working on creating games for it>Yes I am creating video games>Shouldn't I be worried about my life currently? Well yes, but I need to stave off boredom somehow, don't I?>But on a serious note, yes I have to do this, it is very important>Just think about all it could help with! It can help startegize and simulate all kinds of situations! And also waste time during travel>So yes it's very important that this is high on my priority list
>>77744983>Oh and Yilith has been hanging around me quite a bit lately>I think she wants my help with something>I did evemtually asked her about it after the third week she kept visiting daily>Turns out she wants to help with my project>How nice of her>Together I did manage to create a game way before my schedule>It was pretty much Tetris>The way Yilith's eyes shined when she saw it working was quite an amusing sight>Even more entertaining was the way Karansys acted when he saw it in motion>That old eldar was both bewildered and impressed that I've managed all of this using wraithbone>Working with wraithbone is... a very interesting thing>It's like trying to shape a blob with your mind, you can also use your hands to help in it, but I found that it is very counter productive for me at least>I am quite surprised at how versatile wraithbone is, there's so many things I can do with it>I am thinking of making myself some armor and weapons as well>Maybe a custom design... Albeit that would be herresy...>Bah I'm already considered a heretic in this Craftworld so who cares>I wonder how exactly should I make it... I'll probably add parts from some of the other aspect armors
discovering the basic systems behind Wraithbone and learning how it operates.
>>77745221>I did notice that it seeems... different than other materials... I just can't pinpoint how exactly>I will have to continue studying it to uncover more about it>Sadly my fun and pursuit of silly projects ended quite abruptly>The royal family, along with the dukes, my own family included, have started pressuring me>So I was forced into all the balls, tea parties and whatnot hosted by all the noble families>To make matters worse I am losing all my free time>My supposed 'fiances' keep appearing without me getting any notice and trying to spend time with me>Which is pretty much bugging me and trying to pry whatever information they can from me>Of course, they aren't doing it openly, it's all games and half truths with them>It is extremely exhausting to even talk with these eldar for five minutes, let alone hours on end>Issue is, they are getting more and more impatient and putting less effort into hiding their motives>I almost got attacked twice already when they lost their temper>But what really broke the last straw for me, was the meeting with the Queen>It was then I realized just how fucked I am>So many tiny movements and messages that signaled just how pissed off she was
>>77748306>This has caused my already off the roof anxiety to skyrocket even harder>I had at least ten panic attacks just that night>Oh and here's a thing about eldar and the differences between them and humans>Eldar emotions are amplified, by a lot at that>For me it's even worse, I went from an anxiety ridden bipedal mon'keigh- I mean monkey, to a space elf with so much anxiety that it starts affecting my surroundings>My potted plants are now also getting anxiety because of it>It is a disturbing sight to be honest>A plant squirming, twisting and contorting on its own and seeming to grow and become smaller by its own>Did I mention that the writhing causes them to makes noise? Because it's one of the most horrific sounds I've heard>So this can mean one thing: eldar emotions are fucking terrifying, or there's something wrong with me, which there certainly is, but I also have a small sliver of hope that I am not going to discover more things that signal to me being an abomination
>>77745221He needs to check if he can mimic neurons and neural basic networks , maybe see if he can make one that can also manipulator wraithbone at least a a proof of concept. Then its seeing if he can copy the mind/consciousness aspect of a soul into it, or even us the AI to make a pseudo-soul, that way he could clamee to could mkse thier srmour and other constructs smarter witout needing to use and Eldar soul, also making is safer then taking them out of the infinity circuit. Bit E might have it as a problem by it being AI of a form but he could use it to make the astronomicon self improve or adapt to disruption. The computing limit of wraithbone sill have to be tested, can he overlock it, at what point doe it stop working etc. So many possibilities. If the Pseudo-soul works out he could have a guardian actively preventing predators from approaching or seeing him, and wit the AI it might try and figure out som way of severing his connection to Slanesh. Eagerly await for more, whatever comes.
>>77748364Nice way of showing why they made that god on accident, their emotions are that deep and connected to the warp.
>>77748451Regarding creating souls, or AIs, and especially self improving AIs, it is never a good idea, cuz there's always a chance for things to go oh so horribly wrong.I will explain how the wraithbone works (in my opinion and how I get it at least) later. >>77748499Actually, it is because of the emotions themselves being ridiculously strong. The reason the anxiety is being projected to the enviroment is related to what exactly our eldar is. A tiny hint here: it isn't a human soul, nor an eldar one. Also I'm stopping here for tonight and heading to sleep. I'll answer any questions in the morning.
>>77748551Still, very interesting. He could make a flight simulator, make it as accurate as possible, then have an ultra simple AI learn and fight itself over and over again until its a better pilot then the best one on the Craftworld(like, IRL we have an AI like that, so it wouldn't be smart enough to even improve itself, let alone go wrong).Plus, he could make the AI try and interface with souls and let them use it, could offer the Infinity circuit a virtual reality to enjoy and control in exchange for helping him escape. Or at least could make something that throws a temporary wrench into the craftworlds systems as a distraction. We will have to see.
>>77748551>it isn't a human soul, nor an eldar one.Never once has uncertainty in some fictional work scared me as much as this statement...The larger implementations of this statement alone... is terrifying. Cause if it is not an Eldar soul or a Human soul... what is it?Some other daemonic being... An aberration of something (Eldrige abomination, A shard of Azathoth, or some Old Dead God) beyond even the comprehension of the warp...
>>77748551>A tiny hint here: it isn't a human soul, nor an eldar one.... I knew it. Good with politics, making figurines, friend with old people. He is clearly the soul of a necron. It cannot be any other way. Soon he will be talking to wraithbone scarabs and cursing about the warp making sense when he was young.
>>77748551Ok, how do you expect your personally forged armor to look? Maybe a wendigo, or some other ancient earth creature/cryptid/monster?
>>77750306I like this idea
>>77750306Kurnous, the Eldar god of the hunt, had horns. Guess Eldanon could channel him.
>>77751794But only Isha, Cegorach, and the pieces of Khaine survived. Everyone else got eaten.
>>77751839Still exists as a member of the Pantheon. Bonesingers still worship Vaul despite him being eaten.
>>77748551Overall though I do like how you are describing Wraithbone, much less utilizing it.However that does raise the question, could it be turned into a liquid (preferably in large quantities while still being light)? If so you could modify some armor to carry it around and more or less use it for many purposes. Sealing/healing wounds on Warriors, Using it as trappings to halt the feet of prey for the Rangers, making it into mines for defense (or cutting off strategic chokepoints), or 'healing' wraith guard who returns to the rear before sending them back to the front.>>77751839This would tie him to Isha, and while the other Eldar were eaten by 'She who thirst'. They still do exist and are still worshiped, despite their... 'deaths' (in AOS (I know a few people, just sighed in pain, disgust, and anger at that...) it was revealed that many Eldar were only trapped in her, and didn't actually become subsumed by her).
Do Eldar even have cryptids?
>>77753473Probably only the exodites
>>77752222Isha lookin pretty cute in that art.
Do you intend on visiting a Blackstone fortress in this story?
>>77748793You are greatly overestimating our eldar's abilities, but considering how things end up being, a lot of free time is encountered quite often, so such a thing is possible. Although that is mostly an excuse to justify why making video games isn't a waste of time.>>77748876>>77749205That would be funny, but you two are reading way too into it.>>77750306Might end up with multiple armors, since being too unique is an issue in and of itself.>>77752222Wraithbone is created from the warp energies and solidified. So I do assume it could be made into liquid, but with a lot of difficulty and trial and error tests. I don't really want to talk more on my view of wraithbone and its capabilities as it will tie into the story later.Since you all are talking about gods, do remember that they are neither blind nor deaf.

>>77753473The mon'keigh are legendary figures in their myths, as a matter of fact.
>>77704221Not sure if I should read this or wait for neckbeardia to make a video about this
>>77761520read it coward
>>77758946Well, that is a relief to hear.Hope one is, at the very least, different compared to the other typical Eldar armors.Fair enough, though maybe in the future revisit working with it.
>>77763027I am going to, yes. Sorry for the absence, but random life things got in the way. Doesn't help I write slow either. I hope I can update soon.
>>77763743Don't sweat it. Cause life happens.
>>77766644Nice numbers. Anyways, bump.
>>77748364>I have been trying everything I can think of to try and get the royals off of me but to no avail>I was already rushing to think of a plan, of something that might work>But as the invitations and pressure got worse, I started making more plans, more tricks and hijinks to help me in case things finally go down>To make matters even worse, my own family is in on it, so I can't even take a break at home>How wonderful...>Hopefully Karansys helps me when it all finally goes to shit...>It all can go wrong so fast, so suddenly, that there's an almost miniscule chance of escaping, which can only be achieved through perfect planning and skill... or pure luck and having someone incredibly skilled bail your own sorry ass out of danger
>>77768841>As I have eluded to, the thin thread that held it all together was finally cut, and my entire bubble burst as I was taken in forcefully by the royal family, or, to be exact, kidnapped>I expected so many things, but what I didn't expect was the so called sweet and kind third princess to hit me over the head with a blackjack before getting stormed by agents and guards>And that's how I ended up locked up in some weird creepy dungeon getting beaten and interrogated trying to make me spill out all of my secrets>Now you might be wondering, what did cause everything to break down? Well apparently one of their psykers somehow got a glimpse at the shape of my memories>No, I don't mean that he saw my memories or anything akin to that, he noticed what amounts to a cloud, that was bigger than it should have been>Apparently that's enough justification to kidnap me>How fun...>I do have to say though, if I get captured and tortured seriously, I will probably break easily>For some reason I feel a lot more pain than I should, as if it's enhanced and amplified multiple times>I might or might not have cried the second the torture started>Shup up it hurts.>But they did not manage to break me! Mostly because I am even more terrified of what they would do if they found the actual truth>So after the Queen had her fill of smacking me around, she headed off to rest leaving me alone until the replacement guards appear>At least she didn't hit my face, it's one of the few things I have going for me, and getting even that ruined would just be sad
>>77769129>I expected so many things, but what I didn't expect was the so called sweet and kind third princess to hit me over the head with a blackjack before getting stormed by agents and guardsThat's just a funny image. A sweetly smiling princess clubbing you over your head just as you turn and show her your new Eldar aspect warrior figure.
>>77769129>My wonderful and incredibly vain monologue about how incredibly amazing I am was rudely interrupted by two new torturers- I mean royal guards, entering my holding cell by slamming the door open and scaring the absolute shit out of me>No matter what anyone says, I did not whimper like a little bitch>As I stood defiant before them waiting for them to do their worse, as I will not break before them>And as they untie me and grab my hands- then I spilled all my spaghetti>"Wh-What do you want from me?!">They coldly look at me through the visors of their helmets before one of them spoke to me>"How big are your ears?">wat.png>"Wat.">With that, the one that spoke to me took of his... her helmet, revealing Yilith, who was beaming at me>Of course my reaction was completely collected and rational>"You little-">That was all I could say before the other guard put his hand over my mouth and took off his helmet revealing none other than Karansys, who was quite obviously amused>"C'mon, we don't have much time.">With that, I got dragged away with them, heading to one of the ports of the Craftworld>But something was on my mind>"Wait, what are we even going to do now?">"Well, little ears, we're gonna be corsairs.">...okay>With that, we make our wonderful escape, and head into the great unknown of space... in Karansys' old ship, from his corsair days>I am so doomed...>"So about your ear lenght...">"Not now Yilith... Not. Now."
>>77769696Finally... Took me a while... But I decided to end the prologue here. I do hope it doesn't seem... too rushed at the end. On a good note, we're finally leaving the craftworld, and probably getting in even more danger. Eldar are not known for their success, so who knows how well it will even turn out.Any questions?
>>77769825Does the MC have plans if he encounters Dark Eldar, Orks, or the Imperium?
>>77769888Besides run like a bitch, not really. Except if an encounter with the emperor happens, in which case it will be a lot different
>>77769825>All this was just the prologueMy kino senses are tingling
>>77769825What age exactly is the MC? Does their seal breaking mental dive correlate to anything in the main story?

>>77769825I'll head to bed soon since it's late, I'll answer any questions I miss in the morning.
>>77769825Is he going to use his travels to make more figures for his war game? Might be cool if he goes around collecting info to make a "real to life" war game.
>>77770173Traveling takes a long while, coupled with the amount of free time you get, making more miniatures and video games is a given.
>>77769825Now that the MC is free, what will he do now? How will his knowledge benefit him for the long runs and helping accomplishing his goals?
>>77704221will there be more?
>>77770015Kino means superb, excellent and other positive things
>>77770666A better question, how will he explain why he was imprisoned by his companions?>>77770242Will he still be able to make Wraithbone? While traveling takes a while... will he make suggestions to his companions to contact the imperium, in English (if he remembers how to speak it (How would his companions react if he simply knew how to speak this 'mon-keigh' language? Might one points out that he spoke it fluidly?)) to maybe warn the Emporer? How would he explain his motives to them?
I will also bump this thread for no reason
>>77770666First main goal would be to go and find Eldrad. The knowledge itself only helps with interacting with others, not the journey itself.>>77774415Currently trying to avoid or postpone that. And yes, making wraithbone will still be possible. The best course of action would be to try to contact the emperor, but there's quite slim chances for that.>>77771539Yes. Also still in this thread.
>>77774415according to the wiki, the languages have drifted too far to be mutually intelligible with the languages they developed from. knowing English might make them easier to learn, but we don't automatically know Low Gothic because we know English.or is it standard for these threads that Low Gothic=English?
>>77781400It's kinda confusing since supposedly terms like "Astra Militarum" is High Gothic and "Imperial Guard" is Low Gothic. If Low Gothic is supposed to be a completely different language, why is it always translated into English while High Gothic isn't? If "Imperial Guard" is an English translation, then what does it actually look like in Low Gothic? This is why most people assume Low Gothic is meant to be English. My take is Low Gothic is pretty much all the major human languages spoken today with some slight variations and new terms, while High Gothic is some future Latin-esque language used as a form of standardized communication.
>>77781590using equivalents that feel right is common in localization between earth cultures and languages.>https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/KeepItForeignit's kinda an extension of that, translating Low Gothic as English and High Gothic as Latin But We Can't Be Arsed.I think a catholic theocracy setting would be less immersive if you understand everything the leaders are saying.
>>77778823If anon is going to moving around the webway in the future would be best for him to make contact with arguably one of the most underlooked craftworlds. They host a number of wraithbone constructs few craftwprlds are even aware of. Along with this having a hold on the rarest aspect warrior temple. The Shadow specters and there beautiful prisma LancesThink of the possibility of a craftworld with access to actual honest to goodness phantom titans.
>>77782949Which craftworld is that? I'm not as knowledgeable in lore as I wish I was so me overlooking things can happen.
>>77782983 If I read the wiki correctly I think the other anon was talking about Craftworld Mymeara
>>77781400No, I mean that our MC would know English not, gothic (high or low). Emps has been around for millennia and might pick up on it, or understand it.>>77782983>>77783209 The Phenix lord is Irillyth 'The Shade of Twilight' however not a whole lot is known about what happened to him and his war host.
>>77782983Craftworld Mymeara you can read up about them in the link below. they hold the full host of wraith gear listed in forgeworlds craftworld section>>77783383Untrue actually, he was trapped underneath a planet and was rediscovered/Revived during a conflict known as the "Battle of the Dawning Twilight", this happened roughly in 890-ish M41. But if Mon'keigh can find him sooner we will have the full backing of an entire lost warrior host and potentially its orgin craftworld of Mymeara
>>77783636In my infinite lack of wisdom I didn't actually post the link forgive me anon https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Mymeara

>>77785966>On another good note, Karansys managed to also save my potted plants>But there's... something with them>I think I caused them to be sensitive to other's emotions, with my own having priority>So now, whenever I am happy, my potted plants dance happily>It does bring a smile to your face>happydancingplant.gif>gif related (I had to)
>>77785966By isha's tits how in the warp did he make mario kart.better question is he using mario or an eldar version, who the hell yoshi, or bowser, AND WHO THE HELL IS METAL MARIO!?
>>77786163The way I do wraithbone has a lot to go into it, being both an incredibly complex and simple thing to accomplish. Relying a lot on how good you can keep an image in your head, akin to guiding the warp energy, and in extension, the wraithbone, to create whatever you wish. I did put in a bit of an easy way to make such things, (I do hope this makes sense) Instead of programming them directly via code, they were made in the same way you grow wraithbone, by willing it and carefully shaping and making what you wish, albeit, again, that requires you to have a very clear vision of what you want. And it being quite time consuming.
>>77786163Regarding the second part, it was a literal perfect copy of mario kart, which does bring the risk of the great House Nintendo of Terra to know of it.
>>77786289Okay but N64 mario kart or Mario kart 8 Deluxe
>>77786078>Besides that, I noticed something a bit... weird in my dreams>Voices had appeared>From seductive promises and delicate whispers, to angry shouts and primal growling, even bellowing laughter>This cannot be a good sign>I tell Karansys about this, which ends up causing him to start worrying about it as well>He later informed me that we changed course, and that we're going to meet some old friends of his>That did scare me a little, corsairs not really having the best of reputations after all... but these are Karansys' friends>Just how bad can they be?>The trip towards them took quite a long while though>All the while Yilith kept bothering me about how big my ears are>I don't know why she wants to know that so much, or if it's just some joke she finds funny>Doesn't help Karansys keeps calling me Little Ears, but he's been calling me that since I was small>I am unsure why exactly he started calling that, considering my ears are quite long, but that's besides the point>I've been training with Karansys and Yilith to hopefully get better at combat, with very mixed results>Getting my ass beaten repeatedly by both of them isn't helping my self esteem either
>>77787232>Progress on my armor has been painfully slow, having issues making it functional, always realizing that I've accidentally created a flaw in it, leading to the painful and time consuming process of recycling it and starting over>I want to go back to playing vidya >Sadly Karansys has been keeping an eye on me, and forcing me to focus on the so called important projects>Yay...>On this topic, weapons have also been quite tricky to make>They are a lot more intricate and complex than I imagined, so I did not really have any luck in that either>What I did actually manage some progress on was training on my psyker abilities>Although I still cannot use any fun abilities>Even telekinesis is quite hard for me to accomplish, let alone fancier stuff>But progress is progress
>>77787495Sorry for today, very few updates but I've been having a hard time thinking on what exactly to tackle. Hopefully I can do better tomorrow with meeting old man Karansys' friends. And since I've made a habit out of this, I'll answer any questions now or in the morning.

>>77788281No current plans on it, but might change in the future. And since you did mention the fact that our eldar is unnamed, that is intentional, which will be tackled tomorrow if I get around to writing it. It is also the reason why I an trying to think of a nickname/title to use.

>>77823160His the heck did something from the end of M2 survive this long.
>>77825322... Collectors will preserve the shit out of anything.
>>77825322Original gameboys can stand a nuclear bomb, a few millenia are nothing.
>>77823160I got stuck. Doubt I can get another update tonight. Hopefully more tomorrow. Questions?
will you make a new thread after this one... and what would its name be?
Also, have you considered pre-writing this in google.docs so you could just copy and paste it here?
>>77825660If this dies or reaches bump limit then yes. And name will always be the same. Saving Private Mon'Keigh.
>>77825738I did pre write stuff at the start, but I have the problem of just not having motivation to write
>>77825772If this doesn't die overnight then I'll answer any questions left here, otherwise, I'll make a new thread whenever I have a decent amount written in advance.
Are you going to save this somewhere, Like on pastebin
>>77826353It's been archived.http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/77704221/

Poggers story keep you g
>>77823160>"Is that a gameboy?"Oh boy... how would Moth explain how he knows what that device to the tech-priest
>>77828789On another note... what will he do with the mechanicus?Send them back home, join up with his fleet to return him, or keep him around to understand the imperial technology and mix it somehow with wraithbone?
>>77828789desu it would be funny to see the mechanicus go apeshit levels of "Thats heresy" because hes actually competent and understands basic levels of science
>>77831570It'd be hard to explain to the Tech-Priest desu
hey OP how's that armor coming along?
>>77828789>>77831186The 'artifact' is clearly old human tech, there is no way that an eldar should know anything about it. Unless, perhaps, they found an STC telling about it or something similar. Either way it's going to be Incredibly hard to bullshit your way through. Also>to understand the imperial technology and mix it somehow with wraithbonethis sounds like a completely new level of heresy, for both Mechanicus and Eldar>>77834569The armor huh? The base of it is a guardian armor, but with a few changes added from the striking scorpion and banshee armors. Currently helmet is a striking scorpion one, Moth is trying to see if it's possible to make a banshee helmet with the same effect.
>>77835574I live to bump
>>77835574How would the techpriest appreciate a culture swap of whatever Moth wants for wraithbone pong. do techpriests even like wraithbone or is that extra heresy? Do they want the armour failures?
Bumping for fa emperor
I don’t like this but I will bump it.

>>77823160>I instantly regretted that, as the magos stopped in his tracks, before slowly turning his head to face me.>"You know the origins of this artifact? It does not appear to be of eldar origin...">He quickly gets in my face, akin to an overly excited puppy>"Could you perhaps tell me what it is?">I gulp.>I considered trying to bullshit my way through but... I doubt it would work>So... I did something that is probably really stupid... I answered truthfully>"That is a device from what you Mon- Humans consider the second millenium.">I really need to get rid of the habit of refering to humans as mon'keighs>His eyes seem to twinkle as he starts pestering me about it, speaking so fast I can barely register what he's even saying>"But I am still curious as to how you even know these things, Moth?">'I have my ways, Magos...">It was obvious that he wanted to know more but dropped it, I knew he will probably bring this up at a later date, but maybe by then I will know what to tell him>He took out a weird, very secure looking box and hands it to me>"Perhaps you may know of these too... They were in the same place where I found that... 'Game Boy', or how you called it...">I hesitantly open the box just to see... haa... it's game cartridges... Oh it even has the original pokemon games>I swear this Magos is like an overgrown puppy>I talked to him and helped him identify as many things as I could, ignoring just how deep I'm currently digging my own grave>It was then that I notice that Constantine is really capable, being able to create what is pretty much a battery for the gameboy in almost no time>I am both impressed and worried>At least I got to play some pokemon>Even though it was with a Mechanicus Magos breathing down my neck as he watches me play the game with fascination>It does feel kind of nostalgic... So nostalgic in fact, that I almost didn't realize what exactly he had just asked me
>>77835574Well, it's nice hearing how that armor is coming along.what did moth say...>>77745221>Bah I'm already considered a heretic in this Craftworld so who caresPragmatism should be the word for this universe... because well you know. You don't have any better weaponry at your current disposal.
>>77839924Getting hit right in the feels... in the good way.
>>77839924Last story update in this thread since it's going to reach bump limit soon. Yes ending on a cliffhanger is mandatory. Gonna make a new thread once I have a good few thousand words written,
Hey, it's cool, also typing everything first before posting is probably a good idea.Especially for you because you need the motivation to write.
>>77840503No, starting the thread itself makes it a lot easier to write, albeit I am still slow at it.
We are reaching bump limit so we should make a new thread
>>77842425Not yet... let OP type a lot for his story. I'd rather have to wait longer for both better, and larger stories.
bump, and going to sleep
Would OP try to create a wraithbone construct... like a Spindal Drone?
>>77845576These things? Probably something similar, but it's going to be incredibly hard to make. Will also take a really long while till a good time and place to rest appears
OP creates a ironman/wraithbone suit
Just one thing before next thread: there was an interesting way for an isekaied person to see if someone else has been. This was from a story on RR were multiple people from earth got turned into moster an another world. The comment said the question to any of them. Is “Where di you get your fried, the clown, the king, or the redhead.” Emps should be the only person alive who would know what that means. That way Moth could give a letter to the tech priest to give to Malcoador in english, who will then probably show Big E and the emperor will at least know someone from the past is here and wants to talk to him. And that they are an Eldar this life. No Eldar would know of som ancient human fast food corporations.
>>77845755Yep, those are what I am talking about...I know it would take a long ass time to create...However, it might be possible to make it in the far future.Perhaps when he has more experience and knowledge...
>>77846121That is a good idea, but suspicion is easily created, especially when dealing with an eldar.>>77846146Probably.Hopefully I don't take too long on making the new thread.
