>Be me, 100 year old Eldar
>Live on a very minor Craftworld with a nobility and royalty styled ruling system
>The craftworld was separated into parts, all controlled by Dukes, who as well had their territories split and controlled by lower ranked nobility, and so on
>The Dukes formed the High Council, where they decided whatever happens in the craftworld, and overseeing them was the Royal family
>I was born into one of the Duke houses, which was both a blessing and a terrible curse
>I started on the Path of the Thought Talker as soon as I could, to the dismay of my father
>Ended up mastering it surprisingly fast and with none of the feared 'Warp Accidents'
>Since I had nothing left to do regarding that path, I ended up leaving it for the Path of the Scholar
>However, as time passed, I kept getting a weird gut feeling of sorts, that something was missing, that something was wrong
>>
>>77704221
>Soon enough, the feeling started getting worse, and I started realizing what it was
>It was dread, it was an incredibly powerful feeling of dread looming over me, gripping at my very soul
>I tried to ask some eldar I knew that were on the Path of the Warrior to help me train as an extra path of sorts, told them it was due to a feeling I had and an urge to get better at fighting
>They were not entirely convinced so I told them it was because I was denied my request to enter the Path of The warrior
>It took a while but I managed to convince them to help me
>>
Bump
>>
>>77704291
>Things were going well, I was picking up a lot of things regarding fighting during the extra lessons I was taking
>Others were getting worried that I was overworking myself, I assured them that I was fine, and that there is a very important thing I must acomplish
>They seemed satisfied with this answer and left me to my studies and work
>Things seemed to have been going well for quite a few years, the feeling of dread having all but disappeared
>All until one day when it got worse, much... much worse
>I do not believe I've ever panicked that badly before, and I hope that I will never panic like that again
>Thankfully the others did not notice
>I calmed myself down over the course of a few days and came upon an epiphany of sorts, a feeling I had on what I needed to do
>>
>>77704321
>I have left my path, again, my father was not happy about it >But dealing with the nobility of the craftworld requires one to be very good at sweet talking, and thankfully, I was well aware how my father and the nobility of my Craftworld worked, so convincing my father and the questioning nobles was not quite a breeze
>The new Path that I have entered was one my father really wasn't excited about
>The Wych Path, or the Path of the Seer was, in the Craftworld, considered the hardest and most dangerous path one could take
>Hence, there were a very small amount of Eldar that are on that path in the Craftworld
>However this time it is different than when I chose the path of the Thought Talker, which is considered one of the safest ones you could take when it comes to using the powers of the warp
>This time I was doing something a lot... riskier
>I was trying to explore my own mind, to pick at it and find whatever causes these weird feelings
>>
>>77704335
>As time passed I also started helping and learning from the Bonesingers, one of the very few branches of the Path of the Seer that aren't considered some kind of taboo or evil thing
>I've been getting some weird... visions of sorts, of... things... whatever they were, some moving images, some weird little trinkets, along with weird drawings of creatures and warriors
>It was an odd thing, as they seemed more like memories than anything else
>I avoided mentioning it to others, especially my teachers, as I've already caused enough trouble and I would like my father not to have more reasons to think I am possessed by something
>I did however write them all down in a journal to keep note of them all
>As time passed, something else happened
>While meditating and trying to figure out just what exactly is going on in my head, I did actually manage to find... something
>It felt like a seal of sorts, but not like any I've seen before
>It was not exactly like everything related to seals and locks are supposed to be, it felt chaotic, like it was there but also not there...
>In a way it reminded me of the way the warp is, but as I tried to prod it, I got a respose I was not expecting
>>
Bumb.
>>
>>77704407
>The seal broke, and with it, memories appeared, memories that felt... very familiar
>But eventually, I realized it
>They were my memories, memories I knew all too well and were even more familiar to me than the ones I lived in this life
>I now know who I was, and what I am
>I was human, and now, I am a space elf in one of the worst settings possible
>This caused me a sense of urgency and I did confirm something, according to the records I should be in the early great crusade era...
>Something slowly dawned on me, which could save a lot of trouble and bullshit from happening
>I could potentially try and prevent the heresy... to save humanity
>But there is a very big question on my mind
>Should I even prevent it? I am not a human anymore, I have no reason to care about their fate
>On the other hand preventing it could help me, and eldar in general by quite a lot, maybe even potentially help save our dying race
>...it's quite obvious on what I will try to do
>I have to try and prevent the heresy from happening
>I am biased after all
>>
>>77704433
>My preparations have started since quite a while now, but the others are starting to be suspicious of me, especially those on the Path of the Seer under the royal family
>I think they've caught on that I posses something I am not supposed to have
>My worries were proven true when I've started to notice quite a few eldar spying on me at different times
>Others who I haven't really talked with before have been trying to get friendly with me
>So I starter preparing
>Found out where each type of ship could be found and learned to pilot them... is what I wish I could say
>Turns out I am incredibly bad at flying those things, especially the bigger ones
>But I don't really have much I can do, since there are very few people I can trust in this place
>From them, I could narrow it down to a few who would even consider helping and coming with me in the worst case scenario

>He used to spoil me with gifts and stories about the things and people he encountered in his youth, not unlike a spoiling uncle
>Karansys used to be an outcast for quite a lot of years, some of the stories he told me were even hinting at him being a corsair for a while
>He was amused when I asked him that, so I assume I was right with my assumption
>He's come back since a long time ago though, became a Striking Scorpion, and has been once since
>Karansys became an exarch when I was very young and he was, in a way, proud of it

>But there's just one thing, she's way too friendly, way too nice to me, and incredibly sincere, but I cannot fathom why
>So I was suspicious of her, even with all of her actions and behaviour
>After a bit of thinking I decided that if she offers to join then I shall happily allow it

perhaps consider the timeline, is it a new one connected, or disconnected from cupanon.

Also, take your time with this post you don't need to make it seem like it is a speed run.

however, I will give you two suggestions IF your in CupAnon's timeline

One: wait for the OP to post what the Eldar council has determined to be the rules when it comes to interacting with the lore keeper.
Two: determine how your craft world might react to the knowledge of joining the council.

If this is a new timeline, slow down a bit. consolidate how your character interacts and how he might see the craftworld differently.

This also gives you time to expand your connections to other eldar.

Thanks for posting. Write slowly so you don't get burned out. About companions, take no more than you can flesh out, at least initially.

Those two are enough. Until the other story gets advanced, you should focus on exploring eldar culture.

Maybe make funny conparisons where eldanon introduces 21st/ 22nd century human culture to his craftworld inadvertedly as he tries to do stuff or make food he remembers. Explore how that would go down.

Maybe he makes chicken tendies and his banshee waifu spreads the recipe to the rest of her shrine, earning him massive brownie points that he gets utterly flustered over?

Friends from the paths we hear less about would be interesting. Every craftworld character is pretty much a seer, warrior, or outcast. Maybe we take our buddy from the path of the artisan with us after he asks to come. We'll probably want someone from the path of the mariner/steersman for our ship. Bear in mind, Anon doesn't have to get all of his companions now, he can recruit from other craftworlds as he visits them. Below is a list of all the paths, hope it helps you pick which ones to integrate.

Back, will try to update but it's going to be slow.

>>77704839
I wasn't planning on it to being the same timeline since I wouldn't want to be a bother to CupAnon concerning what would make sense or whatnot. But if CupAnon so wishes then it being connected is fine. I already have plans on what to happen, which have no conflict with any of the characters that the cupbearer interacted with. The story itself starts and is still currently quite a while before the cupbearer was even born.

I'm going to try expanding on the craftworld while hopefully not going too much into noble politics and shenanigans.

>>77705547
Probably going to be just those two for a while, since the craftworld itself is quite a hostile place, resembling humanity's old nobles a lot more than any of the eldar would admit. So scheming and lust for power being everpresent.

>>77706671
From this craftworld I don't exactly plan for anyone else to actively join him. For the piloting of ships thing he has Karansys. And not all future companions will be eldar.

If you're distancing yourself from the other story then you could do some fun interactions between the emperor, malcador and eldanon when they realize he's got a human soul shaped like an eldar one.

It would also be amusing to read about how eldanon acts so much like a normal human that other humans would get confused. Or how eldanon is still so awkward he spills his spaghetti everywhere trying to talk to servant girls.
>>
>>77716073
I actually forgot to mention this. The way of thinking and actions of our anxiety ridden eldar are always off. Since it is a weird combination of both types of souls, so the actions and behaviours will seem odd for both eldar and humans. Even something like movement, other eldar, for example, see it as being a lot more predatory like, while for humans, it being something more of a war dance instead of the usual flowing, almost floating motions of eldar.
>>
>>77716120
Good, now put that into a greentext story in a few different settings and let it play out. Let the amusement commence. Cegorach would be pleased.

>For a second I worried
>But this is Karansys, he has always been with me and helped me no matter what
>So I refuse to even think that he's working against me

>The craftworld was separated into parts, all controlled by Dukes, who as well had their territories split and controlled by lower ranked nobility
I know that this is a fanfic of a very silly series, but how would that work? A craftworld is basically a giant spaceship, so would a dukedom be a floor of the ship, or a section demarked vertically, like one for the prow? Would there be a Barony of Engine #4 or other components of the ship?
>>
>>77720773
Actually yes in a way. From my knowledge craftworlds are incredibly big, being classified as 'planetoid-sized'. It being split and controlled by different families doesn't seem that weird to me.
>>
>>77720906
Actually, they are continent-sized ships. Not planet-sized ships.
Also, well done with world (or... craftworld) building so far.
>>
>>77721358
I used the deffinition off of a wiki, it called them planetoid-size, so I assumed so.
>>
>>77720773
>>77720906

Craftworlds are full of massive biodomes, each noble family probably runs one or more of them.

Also there will probably be some cities along the hull of the craft world that serve as spaceports and homes of those who like gazing out into space. Again, some of these cities can serve as a stronghold of a noble clan.

Eldar tech is highly automated, so the number of Eldar that spend most of their time maintaining and operating the craftworld is very small given their size. The main focus of nobles would be to provide civilian leadership (and in some cases military leadership depending on the craftworld) to ensure the people in their territories don't get bored or start squabbling among themselves about some trivial issue.
>>
>>77721475
Actually yes, it's one of the reasons why the miniatures were a hit, the nobles, and most eldar in general are incredibly bored, having nothing to do but trying to fuck each other over in political games and schemes.

That is something that I have planned, as well as possible interactions in case a meeting with the Emperor himself occurs
>>
>>77739955
Tbh was referring to Eldrad... but seeing the Emperor's reaction too works as well.

It would be funny if Eldrad referred to you as a Lore keeper as well...

Also, I am recording this with my 'Warp-sona'... Heh... maybe use it to 'discover' that you were not the only person reincarnated in this 'world'. Though no one else appears to have also been reborn in this particular 'timeline' as well.
>>
>>77740409
Yeah that was the first part, current goal is somehow reach and contact Eldrad as well as convince him for help.

I do have certain plans, for which I'd need a nickname or name for the character of sorts, for a certain 'trick'. Which is also why I'm omitting certain important things, like the name of our eldar.

I am also thinking of changing my tag, since it's a pain to type for everyone.

Also, is it just me because they seem a little bit like Drukari.
>>
>>77741839
Like Drukari? In what way?
>>
>>77741910
Well, there appears to be political turmoil and when you described him being fallowed, it gave me a few hints... though that might be how I perceived it.

Drukari are well known for their backstabbing, and 'assassinations' of rivals... although there is that one Craftworld (Saim-Hann) where the warrior cast doesn't interact with politics.
>>
>>77742065
Ahh. I wanted to make this particular craftworld a bit more... a lot more hostile than others.
>>
So here is what I get from this craft world based on the descriptions you gave us so far
1.) Highly aggressive, and most likely very territorial.
2.) Feudal hierarchy
3.) Wych, and seer paths are extremely dangerous.
4.) other paths of the seer are considered taboos or evil. Except for the Bonesingers
5.) Many seers are under the royal family.
6.) Eldar can become 'outcasts' but can eventually return.
7.) nobles were extremely bored.
8.) Wraith units were a hidden trump card for the royal family.
9.) Arranged marriages are a thing...
Anything I've missed so far?
>>
>>77743580
Pretty sure outcasts are able to do that everywhere, if no then my bad.
Most eldar there tend to have a lot of free time, but the nobles are an especially bad case with free time. Not all wraith units, the trump card being the wraithknights, among a few others.

He needs to check if he can mimic neurons and neural basic networks , maybe see if he can make one that can also manipulator wraithbone at least a a proof of concept. Then its seeing if he can copy the mind/consciousness aspect of a soul into it, or even us the AI to make a pseudo-soul, that way he could clamee to could mkse thier srmour and other constructs smarter witout needing to use and Eldar soul, also making is safer then taking them out of the infinity circuit. Bit E might have it as a problem by it being AI of a form but he could use it to make the astronomicon self improve or adapt to disruption.
The computing limit of wraithbone sill have to be tested, can he overlock it, at what point doe it stop working etc. So many possibilities.

If the Pseudo-soul works out he could have a guardian actively preventing predators from approaching or seeing him, and wit the AI it might try and figure out som way of severing his connection to Slanesh.

Eagerly await for more, whatever comes.
>>
>>77748364
Nice way of showing why they made that god on accident, their emotions are that deep and connected to the warp.
>>
>>77748451
Regarding creating souls, or AIs, and especially self improving AIs, it is never a good idea, cuz there's always a chance for things to go oh so horribly wrong.

I will explain how the wraithbone works (in my opinion and how I get it at least) later.

>>77748499
Actually, it is because of the emotions themselves being ridiculously strong. The reason the anxiety is being projected to the enviroment is related to what exactly our eldar is. A tiny hint here: it isn't a human soul, nor an eldar one.

Also I'm stopping here for tonight and heading to sleep. I'll answer any questions in the morning.
>>
>>77748551
Still, very interesting.

He could make a flight simulator, make it as accurate as possible, then have an ultra simple AI learn and fight itself over and over again until its a better pilot then the best one on the Craftworld(like, IRL we have an AI like that, so it wouldn't be smart enough to even improve itself, let alone go wrong).
Plus, he could make the AI try and interface with souls and let them use it, could offer the Infinity circuit a virtual reality to enjoy and control in exchange for helping him escape. Or at least could make something that throws a temporary wrench into the craftworlds systems as a distraction.

We will have to see.

Never once has uncertainty in some fictional work scared me as much as this statement...
The larger implementations of this statement alone... is terrifying. Cause if it is not an Eldar soul or a Human soul... what is it?

Some other daemonic being... An aberration of something (Eldrige abomination, A shard of Azathoth, or some Old Dead God) beyond even the comprehension of the warp...

He is clearly the soul of a necron. It cannot be any other way. Soon he will be talking to wraithbone scarabs and cursing about the warp making sense when he was young.

Overall though I do like how you are describing Wraithbone, much less utilizing it.

However that does raise the question, could it be turned into a liquid (preferably in large quantities while still being light)?

If so you could modify some armor to carry it around and more or less use it for many purposes. Sealing/healing wounds on Warriors, Using it as trappings to halt the feet of prey for the Rangers, making it into mines for defense (or cutting off strategic chokepoints), or 'healing' wraith guard who returns to the rear before sending them back to the front.

>>77751839
This would tie him to Isha, and while the other Eldar were eaten by 'She who thirst'. They still do exist and are still worshiped, despite their... 'deaths' (in AOS (I know a few people, just sighed in pain, disgust, and anger at that...) it was revealed that many Eldar were only trapped in her, and didn't actually become subsumed by her).

Wraithbone is created from the warp energies and solidified. So I do assume it could be made into liquid, but with a lot of difficulty and trial and error tests. I don't really want to talk more on my view of wraithbone and its capabilities as it will tie into the story later.

according to the wiki, the languages have drifted too far to be mutually intelligible with the languages they developed from. knowing English might make them easier to learn, but we don't automatically know Low Gothic because we know English.

or is it standard for these threads that Low Gothic=English?
>>
>>77781400
It's kinda confusing since supposedly terms like "Astra Militarum" is High Gothic and "Imperial Guard" is Low Gothic. If Low Gothic is supposed to be a completely different language, why is it always translated into English while High Gothic isn't? If "Imperial Guard" is an English translation, then what does it actually look like in Low Gothic?

This is why most people assume Low Gothic is meant to be English. My take is Low Gothic is pretty much all the major human languages spoken today with some slight variations and new terms, while High Gothic is some future Latin-esque language used as a form of standardized communication.
>>
>>77781590
using equivalents that feel right is common in localization between earth cultures and languages.
it's kinda an extension of that, translating Low Gothic as English and High Gothic as Latin But We Can't Be Arsed.

The way I do wraithbone has a lot to go into it, being both an incredibly complex and simple thing to accomplish. Relying a lot on how good you can keep an image in your head, akin to guiding the warp energy, and in extension, the wraithbone, to create whatever you wish. I did put in a bit of an easy way to make such things, (I do hope this makes sense) Instead of programming them directly via code, they were made in the same way you grow wraithbone, by willing it and carefully shaping and making what you wish, albeit, again, that requires you to have a very clear vision of what you want. And it being quite time consuming.

>As we headed deeper, we all started hearing some very distinct sounds
>Sounds that indicated a battle going on
>Here we go again...
>As we all stalk closer, sticking to the shadows, we all look at the unfolding battle
>It appeared to be a group of Mechanicus fighting hordes of cultists and... daemons... shit
>The Mechanicus group consisted of what looked like a high ranking tech priest, with seven servitors and a group of around twenty skitarii
>They were, however, greatly outnumbered by a lot of cultists and a few daemonettes
>The battle seemed to be very close, the mechanicus being slowly getting pushed back due to the pure numbers of the cultists
>The Servitors were clumsily smacking and holding back the cultists, while the skitarii were taking pot shots at them
>The Tech Priest however was slaughtering them, even the daemonettes were getting hacked to pieces by his wild swinging of the Omnisian Axe
>To make matters even more entertaining to watch, the Tech Priest also had an Eradication Ray
>To be fair, I was quite tempted to just sit back and enjoy the show
>But I knew all to well that I will regret it
>So I raised my Shuriken Catapult and... Shot a hole in a daemonette's head along with a few cultists with the rest of the burst
>My shot was quickly followed by Karansys and YIlith following suit, shooting at them as well
>The surprise attack drastically turned the tide, managing to start pushing back the chaos tide
>Thankfully the daemonettes were taken care of quickly, either shot or hacked to pieces by the Tech Priest
>They did get a bit too close to us, so we entered melee, which I dreaded quite a lot, me not really being the best at it...
>The battle went surprisingly well
>For us at least, neither me nor my two companions getting hurt

Nope, I read his post and thought of a vague enough character to place in...

the mechanics are highly analytical that's why I thought it was Mechanicus. So I thought... tech-priest are often accompanied by skitarri so why not write from their perspective.

I'd be vague enough for OP to twist it to his liking, but open to interpretation to anyone who reads it.

Magos Constantine was one of the first characters I made for our eldar to end up meeting. But yes, the teaser yesterday was hinting at mechanicus.

>Afterwards the Tech Priest approached us clearly curious why we helped him
>Surprisingly he did not appear hostile
>Good thing I used to be a Thought Talker
>"Greetings servant of the Omnissiah."
>He seemed a bit surprised but quickly collected himself and gave me a small bow
>"Greetings Eldar. It is a surprise that you know of the Great Machine God, but a welcome one. I am Magos Explorator Vulf Constantine, it's a pleasure. To whom do I owe for this much needed assistance?"
>"You may call me Moth. What are you doing here Magos?"
>He humms, letting out a mechanical chuckle
>"You see, Eldar, this is... well... was our ship, but while traveling with my fleet, I and my ship have been forcefully pulled out of the warp and collided with another vessel, as you can see."
>He waves towards the corpses before turning back to me
>"A lot of my men ended up getting... transformed and changed by those... things... Whatever they may be."
>I nod
>"But there is something I do not understand... Why would you, an eldar, help us? From what I know, your kind tends to avoid getting involved in such things."
>"I have my reasons..."
>He nods before walking towards what appears to be a still functioning door
>Perhaps there are still functioning parts of the ship?
>"Those were all that were left. We were holding out here, for in this room there are all the artifacts I've collected over my many years of life."
>He motions for me to follow, which I do, but ask the others to stay with the skitarii outside
>I walk inside of the room and start talking with him about the situation and how he could help us, before I notice... something... that was so unexpected that I ended up doing something that made things... a lot more complicated... I spoke.

The 'artifact' is clearly old human tech, there is no way that an eldar should know anything about it. Unless, perhaps, they found an STC telling about it or something similar. Either way it's going to be Incredibly hard to bullshit your way through.

Also
>to understand the imperial technology and mix it somehow with wraithbone
this sounds like a completely new level of heresy, for both Mechanicus and Eldar

>>77834569
The armor huh? The base of it is a guardian armor, but with a few changes added from the striking scorpion and banshee armors. Currently helmet is a striking scorpion one, Moth is trying to see if it's possible to make a banshee helmet with the same effect.

Just one thing before next thread: there was an interesting way for an isekaied person to see if someone else has been. This was from a story on RR were multiple people from earth got turned into moster an another world. The comment said the question to any of them. Is “Where di you get your fried, the clown, the king, or the redhead.”
Emps should be the only person alive who would know what that means. That way Moth could give a letter to the tech priest to give to Malcoador in english, who will then probably show Big E and the emperor will at least know someone from the past is here and wants to talk to him. And that they are an Eldar this life. No Eldar would know of som ancient human fast food corporations.
>>

However, it might be possible to make it in the far future.
Perhaps when he has more experience and knowledge...
