So I'm not sure if anyone remembers this story but I'm the author for Parchment and Bolters. I had to disappear for a while due to reasons. I decided to restart the story with editing and fixing grammar mistakes. This is a completely revamped story. If anyone is editing the parchment and bolters please scrap the entire thing or replace it. I admit that having the Mama5 was on a whim and honestly I regret doing it. So this is how the real story of mine should be.
>>
All Empires rise and fall.

She watched it many times. Rome, Constantinople, Mongolia, America… it was not the matter of how and why but when. 5552 trudged along the halls, back aching and eyes dry from the lights on the ceiling.

The floor above was filled with muffled sounds of various activities. Be it Space Marines, Imperial Guards, Governors, there was always something going on above. Below the Imperial Palace the adepts of the Administratum roamed about like moles, scurrying through the intricate tunnels. They were insignificant, but as a whole served the Emperor.

Adept #5552 carried a box of supplies to be delivered to an officer in the docks. If 5552 was forced to tell the truth, she hated the floor levels of the palace. The sheer brightness made her eyes ache and the offices were too far apart. The labyrinth that was the palace was always difficult to navigate as well. As 5552 descended a long staircase something pushed her off balance.

5552 didn’t remember the tumble she took to save for the pain. However, as she opened her eyes she saw her unnaturally bent limbs stitched itself back as if time was rewinding. 5552 quickly looked around the area, making sure that no one saw what had happened. She would have released a sigh of relief, if not for the fact that she saw someone on top of the stairs. A Space Marine, bearing the mark of the Thousand Sons, watching.

5552 grabbed whatever supply that survived the fall then fled the area. The lungs inside her were worked to its exhaustion. Her legs trembled when she stopped to see if she was following. She didn’t question why the Space Marine didn’t follow her. 5552 arrived at the dock, she covered her nose as she entered the office filled with pungent smoke of some fancy pipe. Some things never changed.
>>
>>76603329
“My lord.” 5552 bowed briefly. “This is the supply that you requested for.” 5552 said.

“Carry that box to the Departmento Munitorum.” The officer ordered, he didn’t even bother checking.

“Which one m’lord? The main office or-”

“How should I know? You’re the adept. Now git!”

5552 exited the office with another supply to deliver. Meaning she had to stay longer in this bright golden mess. Her mind ran with all manners of panic beneath her indifferent demeanor. She was discovered, and in a time like this she thought she would be able to live peacefully. Where gods and monsters existed she was but a speck of dust. The thought that comforted her however would come to an end. The mere thought petrified her.

5552 set the box of supplies then went to the opposite direction of the Departmento Munitorum. She needed to escape, fast. The escape package she hid away in her room was a must item to escape. 5552 looked for the nearest exit, before she could enter a heavy metallic footstep followed, reminding her of the Men of Iron. It was the same Space Marine, at least she thought, they all looked and acted the same. They might as well be the new Men of Iron.

“Shit…” 5552 muttered.

The hulking giant of iron walked up to her, a single glowing green eye staring down at her. 5552 heard of the Thousand Sons, it was said that they were capable of other wordly powers, basically space warlocks in her own terms. There were no words spoken, instead, 5552 felt her arm twist like wet cloth being wrung.

5552 screamed in pain as her bone popped out of her arm. Her cry of pain didn’t echo, but sounded as if she screamed inside a cramped room. The bent arm restored itself, as if time traveled backward for that arm specifically. 5552 cried again during the regeneration process. With tears still dangling on the corners of her eyes she looked up.
>>
>>76603342
“What are you?” The cold voice asked. “You appear and act human yet you are not.”

“I- I don’t know what you’re asking about… master astartes. Just let me go, please.”

The Space Marine’s hand glowed in ominous purple. 5552 tried to run to the other direction, only to run into an invisible wall. The Space Marine approached closer, glowing brighter than before, he grabbed 5552’s recently healed arm.

“Let go of me, I haven’t done anything wrong! PLEASE! I BEG OF YOU!” 5552 begged.

The Space Marine dragged her to the arbites that escorted her to a small cell, smaller than her tiny room that barely fit the bedroll. 5552 looked up to the cracked ceiling, lying on the cold floor to find a silver lining in her situation.

“At least I don’t have to see that stupid gold castle for a while…”

She forgot how many times she had died of hunger and thirst, the only sensation that she felt was the creeping sensation of someone, or something watching her. The piece of stale bread and water did little to no sustenance. She was certain it was to study her, or they were sadistic.

5552 reflected back on her life. At least, the fragments that were left in her deep void that she called it “memories”. She closed her eyes. Remembering, piecing the shattered memories only to see an incoherent mess. She entered another slumber, meeting death once more.

5552 forgot how many days it had been, she opened her eyes when she heard two distinct footsteps. There was no energy to stand, even to move her eyes. Whatever they spoke of went on to be mumbled.

“Are you certain she’s human?” A voice asked.

“There is no doubt.” Another voice answered.

The quaking footsteps followed after, growing closer and closer. The astartes knelt, green cyclops eyes peering her closer. The creeping feeling came again but the sensation focused on her head.
>>
“By the Emperor, you have seen the growth of humanity.” The Space Marine said with astonishment. “Bring her to our Primarch.”

“Are you sure Brother -Captain? She can be a threat.”

“Yes, perhaps our Primarch will have a better understanding than us.”

5552 slowly came to, somehow feeling less tired and much more rejuvenated. There was a musty smell of parchments and ink, like the Administratum. Yet, there was that same creeping feeling but it led to this one giant ball of that sensation. 5552 looked up to follow that said sensation, there was a man in what she could call a throne with piles and piles of books surrounding it. Amongst many Primarchs in the Imperium none could be more obvious as Magnus the Red, given the color of his skin. There was something that she innately feared, the unsettling instinct of being overwhelmed in sheer power. The primarch hung on his head on his hand, tepidly staring at the small adept.

“So, you’re the child that Ahriman told me of. Tell me, what are you?”

“I'm just a human, my lord.” She Answered.

“No human merely stands up from injuries, child. And no human lives on for millenia.”

5552 wanted to scoff at the very words, if not for the fact that despite many years of her life living on Earth she hasn’t matured at all. She would live life to life, usually leaving one country to another every five years or so. Any wisdom she had would have was a speck of dust compared to them.

“Tell me then.” He leaned, with a small modicum of attention applied. “Why should I release you?”
>>
>>76603389
5552 turned toward the giant double door only to see it shut with an audible thuum. Any windows or opening was too high and too narrow. She was trapped. It wasn’t death she feared, she died more times than she ate a loaf of bread. It was the consequence. The consequence of being studied like some specimen or being trapped forever. There were worse fates than death after all.

“Why would you contain me in the first place?” 5552 asked. “I’m no threat as you know, my lord. You know that already.”

“You are an anomaly. If it wasn’t for you unable to resist my sons of your custody you would’ve been killed immediately. The only reason you are standing unshackled is because I willed it.” The Primarch spoke with an air of superior arrogance. “If you are no threat then prove it.”

5552’s eyebrow twitched in slight annoyance. 5552 thought of a thousand answers. In her life she never met royalties before. She has seen them but never came face to face and certainly not with psycher powers.

“How do you want me to prove it?”

The crimson Primarch pondered, then answered with a small grin. “Tell me the earliest memory you have.”

To 5552 memories with the most emotion lasted the longest. Such as witnessing the death of the Son of Messiah, Jesus Christ. She’s seen death during those times, but death by torture was the first. He was a man who wanted to do nothing but help was unjustly killed. For what reason? Because of faith? Differences?

The heartache she had was fresh once recovered. As she explained to the primarch her eyes teared up once more, occasionally wiping her eyes with the sleeve of her uniform. She had never seen a man that died while begging for forgiveness for others. A man of true kindness, a son of God. Ever since Jesus Christ promised to return, she’s been waiting since. She still waited for him and his resurrection.
>>
>>76603404
“So you have witnessed the folly of religion as my father has then, if he was truly the son of God he would’ve been saved. It is absurd to worship what is not real.” The Primarch said. “For your sake you better discard such thoughts.”

“I do not believe religion is the root of all problems, it is ambition my lord.” 5552 said. “History has proved it and I have seen it.”

There was a frightful flash in his eyes, then a glint of curiosity.

“Do you deny the Imperial Truth?” The Primarch’s voice slightly rose.

“I do not deny it, but it is not the whole truth. I am just a human, but I have walked with time. I am not here as a threat and only wish to live a peaceful life, if you will permit it.”

Magnus the Red did not react but merely listened. Eventually, 5552 was released with no words of what her future will be.

“Can I ask why my lord?” 5552 asked.

The Administratum Master looked up lazily, barely paying any attention to 5552’s surprised face. 5552 looked at her new transference parchment. She would be exclusively working with the Adeptus Astartes. She didn't mention which legion she would be working with but it still didn’t make sense. Only a Prefect of higher would attain the honor (or the dread) of working with one. It didn’t make sense to her, unless that Primarch had to do something with it. She didn’t remember any serfs working exclusively with the Space Marines as well.

“No, you may not know because even I don’t know. But I do not question, I follow.” The Prefect said lazily. “Dismissed.”
>>
>>76603420
However, it didn’t matter what she thought. Her room was occupied by another adept, and wasn’t even given the chance to retrieve her personal items. She hoped her pet rock would give solace to the new resident. 5552 looked at the map to her new quarters, now in the upper level of the Palace. She read the transference parchment as she traveled the palace.

“To do whatever menial task is asked of, not attached to specific legions as of yet…” 5552 sighed. “That doesn’t sound good.”

5552 rested on the staircase that seemed to go on and on. The map may seem short but the direction did not explain how far she needed to walk. 5552 leaned her body on the staircase. Her legs and ankles ached. She looked up to see the stairs that she had to climb more, at this rate she would arrive in maybe a few hours to days. 5552 groaned as she stood up then began climbing the stairs once more. Whoever made the order her new position was a sadistic man for sure.

5552 trudged along the golden stairs, time stopped being time but a stagnant sensation as she climbed the endless stairs. Eventually, she reached the top where it seemed like the land of giants. 5552 felt accomplished, as she climbed the final step of the stairs she failed to see an astartes turning around the corner. As 5552 lost her balance she could only mutter one sentence.

“Not this shit again.”
>>
>>76603430
Falling down the stairs was a new motif to 5552. She was no longer on the golden stairs but inside a large room on a soft bed, certainly larger than her previous room that is. It was rather simple, set up with the most basic utility items like a small apartment. It was not long until she realized a sticky note on her forehead. She squinted her eyes, the last time she used High Gothic was such long time ago. Being a normal usually meant using Low Gothic. Regardless of her complaint 5552 read the note.

`When you are awake, come outside of your room.`

5552 stepped outside of her room. Only to see a giant woman clad in gold and bald or so she thought for a moment, she noticed the strange hairstyle that reminded her of a plumage on helmets. A simpler time with a simpler means of death.

5552 looked up at the silent woman that merely stared at her back. Her head began to hurt, with a feeling of uneasiness that she couldn’t help but be unable to ignore. The woman leaned down then reached out her hand. 5552 stood there confused, then slowly reached her hand out to grasp hers. With hands together and an understanding nod she led the way. The custodians and women of similar appearance merely glanced at 5552 before returning to their duty.

The room she was led inside exploded in gaudy gold and other expensive looking furnitures. The woman gestured at the opulent couch. Then she gestured once more before leaving, though 5552 wasn’t sure what that meant this time. It’s been a few minutes inside the room that stank of decadence, she tried to open the door but only to discover it to be locked.

She wasn’t sure when but the door eventually opened, an old hooded man entered, carrying an eagle staff.
>>
>>76603439

The hooded man was unlike the tall astartes that she was familiar with. Yet, he carried an aura like none other. His wrinkled face creased like old leather as he squinted his eyes at 5552, he rubbed his chin as he inspected her. He reached out his hand to touch her cheeks, turning her head one side to another with a low “hm” as he inspected further. 5552 didn’t bother resisting, she just knew doing so meant a worse fate than currently she was in.

“As humanity crawled out of its cradle you have walked alongside it in the shadows.” The old man said. “You have seen much have you not?”

“I have, my lord. That is why I prefer to remain in the shadows.” 5552 answered.

The old man nodded, eyes scowling with an indifferent attitude. “You prefer to cower in the dark for self-preservation.”

“I merely sought solace.” 5552 said.

“No matter what words you layer it, the truth is the same.” The old man said bitterly.

“Is self-preservation a crime? An ill sin that is to be glowered upon and to be ashamed of?” 5552 questioned, her soft eyes hardened. “The only thing humanity is capable of is death and destruction and I wanted no parts of it! So yes, I chose to hide in fear and spite! Does admittance satisfy you?”

“You are an immortal that wasted your life in fear. Do you not wish to do more?”

“Not once in my life. Humanity is not worth saving.”

The old man did not reply but simply left the room. 5552 was escorted back to her room, she preferred to call it a jail more than anything. 5552 lied on her bed, closing her eyes and the memories flooded back in. Fragments of memories crawled out of their graves in her moment of vulnerability.

She remembered the Crusade, a war that spilled blood like how the bishops would spill his wine in a drunken stupor.

She remembered Agincourt, and the cry of a girl as she was raped in front of the corpse that was her father.

She remembered Bastille, and all the heads that rolled after.

She remembered the Somme, and the young boy promised a life of happiness, a promise that went unfulfilled.

She remembered Pearl Harbor, and the sound of the fighter planes roaring in the air.

She remembered the wanton cruelty of humanity is capable of and acted upon.

She remembered why she gave up.

She remembered it all.

5552 swam in her memory. Humanity wasn’t worth it, or was she just too pessimistic enough to forget about the good times she had? She wasn’t like the Emperor with a grand idea of unifying humanity. She was human, that happened to be immune to fatal wounds and injuries. The door opened once again, this time two custodians entered. Same with the woman they silently beckoned her to follow.

She was in what it seemed to be a large dressing room. The custodians left and the silent women entered after. In their hands were sets of clothing that only a High Lady would wear. No, a High Lady would wish to wear. 5552 didn’t resist as they stripped her clothes then helped her wear the new golden dress, bearing the aquila. She only wanted to know what was going on. Of course, her questions went unanswered.
>>
>>76603467
After an ungodly hour of being dressed she was then ushered into the giant gold gate she saw before. She moved rather awkwardly due to the heavy weights of the dress and the hefty gold decoration dangling on her clothes. She walked awkwardly as the women behind her accompanied her behind as she held the long dress. 5552 waited and waited until they arrived.

The Emperor of Mankind entered along with another man that stood by him. A rush of elation ran through her, any negative emotion gone. Sadly, it only lasted for a few minutes. 5552 squinted at the lights that shone out of the Emperor and didn’t bother to question how on Earth that would even work. The Emperor’s voice boomed like an echo of a bell, yet his mouth did not move. His voice echoed inside her head.

“I have not expected to see another.” The Emperor said, voice soothing yet authoritative. “Welcome.”

5552 with her knee on the floor. “I give you the most sincere greetings, my Emperor. It is an honor to be in your presence.”

“Stand.”

5552 did as she was told, almost stumbling thanks to the new weight of the dress. Her eyes briefly met with the man next to the Emperor, a charismatic man with a wolf pelt hung over his power armor, he simply nodded slightly then returned his attention to the Emperor.

“Malcador has informed me that you prefer to be inconspicuous rather than lead.”

“I do. That is where I belong.”

“I have witnessed what you have as well. Do you not see the potential of humanity?”

“I do not. Do you not remember when the Men of Iron attacked and the disgusting barbarism that followed after?”

“He dares question father?” A voice said from the above
>>
>>76603485
5552 looked up, seeing more uniquely armored giants.

There was a brief but volatile argument. One that filled with threats laid against 5552. She quickly averted eyes toward the top, then back to the Emperor. The arguments ceased immediately as the Emperor raised his hand with a slight glance toward the top as well.

It was an amazing thing to see, like watching highly trained soldiers following orders to the very letter of the instruction. Except they were what could be described as demi-gods The Emperor’s attention returned to 5552.

“I understand your pain. I am here now and I will lead humanity to its rightful place. An individual that has seen humanity as long as I have is knowledge that humanity needs.” The Emperor declared as if 5552 already joined.

“I will not help you.”

“For what reason?” The Emperor asked calmly. “Do you not see what this Imperium can achieve?”

“All empires rise and fall, my Emperor..” 5552 answered. “You have witnessed it too.”

“I am here to take humanity at its helm to a new era.” The Emperor declared once more. “Join me.”

“Every conqueror has thought that my Emperor.” 5552 reminded. “While spilling blood across the fields like you are. You are a conqueror like many before you.”

5552 heard another argument but much more quiet, hushed in sharp whispers. At this point she couldn’t care much. It wasn’t her first time if she was to be imprisoned, she actually liked it since it made her feel one with the prison cell. Time was but an eternal shackle for her.

“I may be, but I am to unify humanity to a new light, not for my own greed. I do this for humanity” The Emperor replied. “I cannot force you, I implore you to do so.”
>>
>>76603499
The light surrounding the Emperor shone brighter. For some reason, 5552 believed it. That there was no malice or deception in the golden Emperor. 5552 wanted to believe him, that maybe this is what she was meant to do. Her cynicism and hope clashed. 5552 closed her eyes then looked up back to the Emperor.

“I will join you.”

There was a quick upward curve on the Emperor’s lips, something that could be registered as a stiff smile. 5552 watched the Emperor stand from his throne, the women behind her knelt, 5552 followed their movement but not before peeking up. The quick glance showed the Primarchs intensely focusing on their father, eagerly waiting but with stalwart vigilance. The room was silent, she no longer felt alone in the psychic conversation as she felt more presence surrounding her. She waited for whatever judgment that would be followed.

“Adept 5552. You are an immortal. Walked with humanity as much as I have. I have finally found another that has witnessed as much as I have. For that I am elated.”

“The honor is all mine, my Emperor. To hear your words is an immense honor I will ever achieve in my life.” 5552 answered mechanically.

“Your long life left you with nothing but hopelessness, despair, regret, wrath and sorrow. However, I also see jubilation, hope, passion, and love.” The Emperor said warmly. “You will guide my sons, not in the ways Malcador or I do. No, you will teach my sons what it truly means to be humans. You shall be their tutors and guide to what humanity is, and what it can be."
>>
>>76603510
There was a varied reaction from above once again. She heard a chastisement to a one named Lorgar. A smooth velvety voice laughing after predicting what his father will take next. Then another being named Fulgrim told to stay quiet once more after his insult to her appearance. There was a chatter again, different voices giving their opinions from the top. Their gaze rested on 5552, waiting for a response. She closed her eyes, then opened it again.

“I will accept my position.I will do what I can.”

5552, hoped- no, she prayed. She prayed that history won’t repeat again.

That's all I got for now but I'll keep pumping more if possible. I hope you enjoyed and stay for the retry to finish the story.

In all her years of living she lived in hovels, at best a house or an apartment. The best way to survive perpetuity was to never be seen, forgotten. Having a situation in the exact opposite was rather odd at best and frightening at worst. 5552 traced her hand on the rich wood table, be it synthetic or not it felt real in her hand. Instead of a mansion, a grand library would have suited better. Salvaged books of the old left the room bathed in the scent of old parchments and papers, wrapped in a golden room.

“So you are our so-called mentor.”

A deep rumbling voice echoed, bounced violently through the walls. A hulking giant (the smallest among them) entered. A giant he may be, but 5552 stood tall. There was a fixed grimace on his lips, riddled with wrinkles and a perpetual glare. She was rather surprised that she actually got a guest.

“M’lord.” 5552 bowed curtly. “I am honored to be in your presence.”

As expected, her greetings were ignored. Instead he shifted his attention to her books. 5552 watched as he looked at the cover and placed the book gently back into their place. She didn’t question how the giant gauntlets could do that.

“Tell me, in all your life, what have you seen the most?”

“Death, m’lord.” 5552 answered

“And how much was that yours?”

“Enough, m’lord.”

“Then tell me, has the sacrifice always been justified?”

5552 bit her lip, a quick pause on her thinking.

“I have no answers m’lord.”

There was a brief moment of his attention being grasped. Perturabo turned his body to the women, bearing his size and presence to the small woman.

“Then what good of a mentor are you if you cannot answer me questions? If i snap your neck and come back alive then will you give me your answer?”

“Then I will return with the same answer. Sacrifice itself is a tool to achieve an objective no?” 5552 lightly licked her lips. “Or have you come here to hear the sweet nothingness that is the value or sacrifice or came here for the solace for the loss of your men?”

The wrath of the primarch boiled to the brink of explosion. “You dare-”

“I dare nothing m’lord. You wished for solace where there is none.” 5552 interrupted, staring at the iron gauntlets that could be her death. “I see no point in giving you the answer because there are no answers when you already have your own.”

“Then how do you expect me to learn, you foolish woman? I might as well crush you and leave for my own catharsis.”

Perturabo formed fist near her face, yet she stood fast. The worst he could do was torture her to death. The indifferent look on her face angered him more.

“If that will satisfy you m’lord. I await my death. I will make that sacrifice to give you that catharsis.”

“You dare to still mock me?”

“I do not dare to. If my death brings you the satisfaction I will suffer the pain. I will make that sacrifice.”

“You… I will not waste more time on this matter.”
5552 only hoped he learned the meaning of her words, whatever it may be.

“I’m too old for this…”

There was no doubt that Magnus was an arrogant man. Given his innate ability and intelligence he was only matched by his father and few of his brothers. The new tutor would perhaps give entertainment before he and his sons continue their father’s mandate. He had heard only Perturabo had left and spread the word of the “arrogant” woman. The first surprise he received was a chair made for the primarchs, he sat across the woman that was sipping on her own tea.

“Do you believe the Emperor is a god?”

5552 blinked at the absurd question. “No, m'lord.”

Magnus shifted his position in his chair.

“Do you believe a higher power exists? Higher than all lifeforms?”

“I do.” She replied as she sipped on her tea. “I am still a christian if you are wondering.”

“Christian?”

“A belief that Jesus Christ is the son of God and God exists as an omnipotent being.” 5552 explained.

Magnus leaned back on his chair, one hand on the armrest and the other gently stroking his red chin. His face creased as curiosity tugged at him.

“So I’ve noticed. It’s a wonder that you still draw your breath when religion is banned.”

“Then I suppose I am a special case.” 5552 shrugged indifferently. “I’m certain the Emperor knew that already.”
>>
>>76611134
“How can you still grasp on to your weak religion when it had spilled blood over the millenia?”

“It can be said the same for ideologies. They are on the same side of the coin, m’lord. I’m certain the Great Crusade brought death to innumerable deaths.”

“They had their chances to comply. It is good for all humanity to be under father’s guidance.”

“That was the belief of many religious crusades. Beliefs and religions are but the same. Religion only happens to come with the belief of the supernaturals that others find incredulous.”
“The fact that you are considering beliefs and the belief in the supernatural to be the same is foolish. There is rational trust in an ideology then there are humans like you.” Magnus stood from his chair, placing his finger on 5552’s chest. “Mortal fools like you are the reason why my father has stepped away from the shadows of humanity. There would be no senseless deaths if not for your religion.”

Magnus turned away, walking toward the exit.

“Tonight, you will board my vessel as we conquer the planets in our father’s name. Perhaps once you see our righteous work up close you will be awakened from your delusion.”

5552 bowed. “As you wish, m’lord.”

It was a sight of pure awe. Their psychic powers shredded everything and anything that stood in their way. Be it buildings or men none was spared in their conquest fueled by their belief in the Imperial Truth. She had seen one sided war over her life, but not something violent as this. It was like watching a tempest sowing chaos. A single blink of an eye and she would see buildings disappearing and thousands of men dead. Yet, not once did she look away.

“Ah, esteemed tutor.”

5552 turned to Ahriman. “Greetings, Captain. I am to assume the conquest is almost at its end?”

“It is.”

From the vessel she saw the entire city. The once modest looking planet was on a verge of crumbling. Smokes rose from the buildings, and the distant canon and the psycher attacks echoed so faintly. Inside the vessel the low thrum hummed in the air quietly. Behind her was Ahriman, with a message to deliver.

“I do wonder what those people thought when they died.” 5552 said. “Forgive my ramblings. Lord Magnus has a message for me?”

“Esteemed tutor. He wishes to meet you in his personal quarters.”

The quarters reflected Magnus. Parchment and books upon parchment and books. Even when the door opened he was engrossed in his book. His eyes never teared away from his book. Magnus turned his head slightly to read another that was floating in the air.

“You have seen war many times and witnessed my sons in battle. Tell me was it ever brilliant like this?”
>>
>>76613236
“No. It is all the same, m’lord.”

“Is that so? Perhaps you have witnessed psychers but none so powerful as my legions.” His eye split away from his book for a brief moment. “You cling on to your age because it’s the only thing you have. I understand.”

“War has its victors and the defeated. The dead and the living still exists m’lord. War never changes.”

“Then are all the humans and xenos the same just because we live?”

“No, m’lord.” 5552 answered.

“I thought so.” Magnus said with brimming arrogance. “I have brought you here so you can study the ancient scrolls that are rumored to be the remnants of the old humanity.” Magnus explained. “Study them and report back to me on what you have found.”

5552 bowed, and made her way to her small quarters to gather her belongings. Two space marines accompanied the descent to the cities and to the archives. She would see if the rumors were true or not.

You're reposting previous stories, right?
Because this series would really make use of continuation, or at least more Great Crusade/Horus Heresy filler stories.
>>
>>76613431
I'm not reposting the stories but redoing the story and the plot. The Mama5 thing was really done on a whim without much plans. This is how the story really should've been. There will be no Mama5 and it will be closer to the darkness of warhammer.

You know, remaking all that series with cute main character into Short filler with a character placed into setting just to be unceremoniously removed without any further mentions feels like another cheap BL story. Don't go that way.
>>
>>76613803
Dude I'm telling you it won't be like that. I have no idea what you're telling me.
>and it will be closer to the darkness of warhammer.
What part did you not get?
>>
Dust wafted in the air and the rubbles were scattered across the city. The freshly made ruins crumbled, and the corpses (what’s remaining of it) became a red splotch on a once colorful city. As she descended further the darkness loomed over more, ahe light from the servo skull was soon engulfed as well.

The sons of Magnus escorted 5552 to the underground cathedral cavern. Intricately carved arches and statues were erected, a silent guardian to protect the holy site. Guardians that were too silent when they were needed the most. By now most of her robes were covered cobwebs. The solid stone floors were cracked the further she explored. 5552 combed the archives, she covered her nose and mouth. The path became narrower, to the point where the astartes needed to wait outside.

“Now this is something…”

5552 sifted through the archives. The parchments were not written in unified language. Latine, German, Sanskrit, and even Aradbic were recorded. It did seem to make sense when the people on the planet were so diverse. There she found many excerpts from the torah, bible, and the quran, all written in the old languages. There were small works of old literature. Unfortunately, most were about the planet's history. 5552’s eyes widened. There, she found an old rosary made in an unknown metal. She gently wiped the cross off and placed it into her pocket. She prayed the findings would satisfy the Primarch.

That's all I got for now. Thank you to anyone that read it!

Don’t listen to them, OP. You’re doing great.
Tho I do regret the loss of the Mama5 aspect, it was cute and made the thing iconic. You could still include, but it’s a much slower burn, with 5 gaining the trust of the Primarchs over time.

Read it all in one sit, really liked it in general. Some criticism:
1). I feel that the main heroine needs a name. A number fits a nameless serf and reflects her unwillingness to stand out. Giving her a name or a title instead of name would reflect her acceptance of a tutor for primarchs.
2). I feel that christian stuff and references to actual world history are out of place. Remember that there is a major history gap between , say , Perl harbor and great crusade. It’d be more fitting to concentrate on events that happened during unifications wars or what was before them. I’m not very knowledgeable in 40k fluff though, forgive me if bringing real history is the norm in black library novels.
3). Cursing is very out of place. Use low gothic like “Skrag” or something similar.

Anyway, huge thumbs up from me! Thanks for making my quarantine a bit more tolerable and merry Christmas to you, scribe-anon.

Hey there friend I'm really thankful for your criticisms!. They feel like more advices than anything though.

1. You do have a point about the name. I'll work on that though I doubt "esteemed tutor" or something like that would be fitting. I'll try to think of a name for her or implement that in the next post.

2. And yeah it really does one hell of a gap. I'll study up on some of the Unification War lore as well as the pre-unification war (forgot the name)

3. I'll also have to brush up on low gothic curses too. Time to ask gunny google for help.

I'm glad that my story is helping your quarantine more tolerable. And merry Christmas to you too anon!

“What possible use would religious text have?”

Magnus’s voice was calm, composed, and crisp. Within the veil of his intellectual speech however, was incredulity. Whatever he had hoped to find ended up being a total failure. 5552 stood, hands together with the hopes of being excused. Though the rhetorical question (at least what she hoped to be) turned out to be a legitimate question. Magnus’s brief scrunch of the parchment spoke of that in the least.

“Well?”

“Religion is the source of humanity, m’lord.”

Only an irritated huff replied. Multiple scrolls hung in the air. Despite knowing his superb control of his abilities she still feared the scroll’s integrity. However, she could only keep silent. She could have tell him to be careful, though she did not crave the death’s visit. Immortality did not mean invulnerability to pain after all.

“Humanity did come from something so foolish as religion. They’re superstitious stories at best..” Magnus said.

“Biologically speaking you are correct, m’lord.”

“Are you suggesting I am wrong?” There was a faint furrow in his brows.

“No, m’lord.” 5552 bowed out of wariness. “I am merely hoping you are willing to see from a different perspective.”

“And what would that be?’

The tutor hummed silently. “How about a challenge m’lord?”

‘Do you deny my answers?” The psyched’s tone darkened. “Or do you not have answers I you resort to this trickery?”

“I am your tutor, m’lord. I see no value if I provide you answers then there will be no growth. Do you not agree?”

The sensible logic frustrated Magnus. For a few silent moments the sound of the humming ship filled the void. The furrow browsed raised in annoyed curiosity, perhaps mild aggravation at its worst.

“What do you suggest then?’

“Study them and see how humanity are born from these stories.” She offered. “Find how they define humanity. Perhaps then you will see them in new lights.”
>>
>>76635752
“An easy task.” Magnus said confidently. “I also see that you have documents. They do not look like ancient texts.”

“These?” 5552 extended her hand with the documents, only a few centuries old. “This is a personal project of mine. Of course the Emperor has approved it so I can go forward with it.”

“These are from before father has made himself known.”

“While others called it the Golden Age of Technology, It was a marvelous time to be alive.”

“You’d do well not to use that name. Then again you can outlive your sentence anyways.” Magnus said. “None of them pertains to lost technologies. Why would you keep them?” Magnus asked.

“I simply wish to remember the days when my life was the happiest.” 5552 replied. “True, the unchecked advancement has brought its own consequences. But that does not mean one should ignore humanity’s achievement.”

“You are correct on that matter. You are the strangest woman I've met. What is your name?”

5552 paused. Name, her name. Did… did she have a name?

“It is expected to have your name forgotten. Immortality is the only thing that separates you from the normals.” Magnus said with an arrogant amusement. “Be grateful for I have given you a new name. Ernutet.”

“I am honored, m’lord.”

Again, the arrogant smirk showed. “You are dismissed. I will call you after I find the answer.”

I agree with not including reference to real life events - it's pretty clear that the stuff that happens in the 29000 years between now and when the Heresy is set would overshadow random small events like Pearl Harbor (which isn't even that significant now if you aren't American or Japanese). Also, it implies she just happened to be there to see those events, which seems a bit unlikely given she has no foresight ability and would generally want to avoid living in potentially conflicted places anyway. In that regard, that she's living anywhere near the Imperial Palace doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but it helps the story along so it's not that important. Still, nice story overall - interested to see where it goes.

Pastebin is acceptable but Pastebin is nuking itself. I'd suggest finding another platform.
