Gather Men, Maggots, and Mutants to praise our galactic master, Lord Killblood! GLORY AND PAIN!
>The chaos wizard, Lord Killblood Deathbane, has conquered all of reality. He holds the remains of the world in the palm of his hand. Now men, battle mutants, and other savage creatures fight and die for his cruel amusement.
>Lady Singulara languishes in her Pleasure Palace, her necrospacers draining what life is left in the world to fulfill her whims of debauchery
>Ragnarok the Void-Viking raids and pillages the north, celebrating every victory in his cosmic Hall
>The mysterious Lord Immortal plots within his Ziggurat, the Knights of the Ten Thousand Suns riding across the Acid Sea to carry out his inscrutable will
Who will you serve, wretch? Or will you battle tooth and nail to carve out your own kingdom? The choice is yours, so long as you die for the glory of LORD KILLBLOOD!
>>
The Races of the Realms of Killblood;
>Men: Few, but strong. Untouched by mutation, they forge the weapons and armor that they naturally lack. The last bastions of humanity foolishly hang onto the hope that Lord Killblood may one day be overthrown.

Battle-Mutants;
>Warped by the whims of Lord Killblood, they exist only to wage eternal war against each other. Here are three common varieties of these awful beasts.
>Clawgor: Covered head to toe in insectoid armor and possessed of massive crushing claws, these living tanks wade into battle and decimate any who oppose them.
>Shockmar: Lithe and faceless, these floating horrors call forth psychic lightning to burst their foe's heads like ripe grapes.
>Vilelings: Short, hunched, and malformed, these things drool acidic poison, using their unassuming appearance to close in to their victims.

Knight of the Ten Thousand Suns
>Servants of Lord Immortal, these beings are suits of armor animated by pure nuclear fire. They ride out into the world upon their iron steeds to carry out their master's wishes, whatever they may be.

Necrospacer
>Dead things given perverse life by Lady Singulara, they feed upon the life of the world to power their perverse sorcery. They are one of the few that are able to escape the hellish fate of all beings, able to project their consciousness into the vast cosmos.

>The Void-Black North is one of the few places of the world where Lord Killblood's furious gaze never wanders. It is a cold and barren plain where all light fails, a continuous sheet of dark ice.
>The only life here are the Void-Vikings, who proclaim themselves to be the last tribe of truly free Men. Led by their glorious leader, Ragnarok, they march south to raid and pillage the weaker lands, returning with their loot to the very edge of the Realm.
>Ragnarok's hall is a massive edifice of runestone and titanbone hanging off the very edge of the world, defiant of the cold nothingness of the void. There the Void-Vikings feast and celebrate their many victories, praising the eternal glory of their leader with every raised mug of ale.
>The North is the only place where the mythical starmetal can be found, buried miles beneath the ice. However, it is zealously guarded by ancient golems and the eternal dead, the material secreted away in vast caverns and forgotten city-temples built to forgotten gods. Not even the Void-Vikings venture into those forsaken places.

MORE DAMMIT MORE
>>
>Water is a scarce resource in the Realm of Killblood. The only remaining sea is a roiling cauldron of flesh-eating acid, toxic chemicals, and primordial ooze.
>Life, however, always finds a way. The south-western shore is home to a jungle teeming with exotic plantlife and savage creatures adapted to such hostile conditions. The Acid Sea itself is also home to the Kraken Lords, vast and terrible beings that lurk in the deepest depths, plotting against the primitive surface dwellers.
>Tribes of foolhardy Men and Mutants brave the Sea in ships of titanbone, one of the few materials the acid won't eat through. The Knights of the Ten Thousand Suns travel across the Sea as well, upon the backs of their iron steeds. Their super-heated skin flash steams the foul liquids, creating a multicolored cloud of fumes behind them as they race toward the horizon.
>>
>Lord Immortal's Ziggurat lies to the southeast of the Acid Sea, half sunken into a toxic mire. It is an ancient place, having existed since before even the old world.
>While the exterior is massive in its own right, the interior of Lord Immortal's lair is a fractal labyrinth, infinitely huge and complex. Some say it served as the domain of Lord Killblood himself before his ascension.
>Now Lord Immortal rests within its deepest halls, keeping watch over the First Fire, the last ember of the old world's sun. He welcomes any who wish to dedicate their life to his cause, using the Fire to burn away their mortal existence and replace their frail bodies with skin of steel and heart of blazing cosmic glory.
>The Knights of the Ten Thousand Suns also call the Ziggurat their home, resting in stasis until they are called upon to do their duty. Nobody knows what their aims are, and even the Knights themselves seem incapable of putting their master's psychic will into words.
>>
>The Necro-Wastes are nothing but blasted dust. All life has been scoured from it by the Necrospacers in their pursuit of deeper and deeper debauchery.
>The only settlement here is the Pleasure Palace of Lady Singulara. Draped in miles of red silk and tons of glistening gold, its countless towers gleam like a jewel in the desert.
>Formations of titanbone jut out from the blasted earth in abundance, moreso than anywhere else in the realm. However, expeditions to gather the material rarely return. There is no food to be had, no water to drink, and any who perish in the Wastes quickly rise again as unliving abominations.
>The greatest of all of these undead things is the Necrofex. Created ages ago to combat the rising Lord Killblood, this hulk of necrotic flesh and ancient alchemy was turned against its masters. Now it wanders the wastes, a zombified symbol of the hubris of Men. Rumors abound of hidden treasures resting within the belly of the beast, and countless are the tales of ill-fated parties failing to raid its lair.
>>
>>65960921
I really want those iron steeds to be horse/motorcycle hybrids
>>
>>65963116
Don't be silly. They're dragon motorcycles.
>>
>The Pleasure Palace of Lady Singulara is a squamous hive of murder, blood, and lust. Any and all are welcome to indulge their most base of carnal desires, and the necrospacers are more than happy to use their sorcery to push their guests towards greater dehumanizing acts.
>However, the necrospacers save the greatest pleasure for themselves. It is the simple act of leaving the torturous Realm behind, projecting their consciousness into the vast and peaceful reaches of space. Many meditate for months or even years on end, their physical bodies wasting away while their minds wander the cosmos.
>The Lady herself has mastered this art, living in a half-daze, existing in two places at once. In fact, her thoughts often manifest within her Palace, nightmarish things from beyond the stars breaking into reality and subjecting mortals to indescribable horrors.

I'm gonna take a break from writing lore for now. Wanna make a Clawgor to better visualize the universe.

>Oberon's Domain is the last thing that remains of the old world. Protected by the King of the Fae's magic, these woods persist despite Lord Killblood's efforts to utterly annihilate them.
>But King Oberon's magic is fading, as is his life. To erect the protective barrier, he had to give up not only his own immortality, but the immortality of his elven children. They are a dying race, unable to procreate due to the Realm's vile influence, their numbers dwindling even now.
>Most think the Fae are merely legend, their haven a trick meant to lure out victims for the northmen. But they are all too real, filled with forgotten and mystical creatures from a bygone age.
>>
>>65965418
> Legend has it that the Queen of the Fae was stolen from Oberon and now lies chained at the foot of Lord Killblood Deathbane’s black throne. It is said that she is the pinnacle of perfection, and that her illustrious beauty is matched only by the depths of the King of the Fae’s smoldering hate. Such is his fury, such is his spite, that the enchantment surrounding the forest has taken on a semblance of his rage, forming an unearthly nightmare where not even the most foolish of mutants dare tread, lest they be set upon by a storm of twisting thorns, frenzied ents, and rotting banshees whose bone-breaking screech is said to shatter even the souls of those who hear it. Woe to those who bare witness to Oberon’s hell-forged sword, for not even Lord Killblood Deathbane dare courts its edge in mortal combat.
>>
>>65963470
Technology in the realm of Lord Killblood Deathbane is invariably either blindingly chrome or pitted with enough rust to make a Plague Marine smile. The sole exception is ancient artifacts, which are themselves encrusted with enough gems to bankrupt an emperor or crackling with enough magical energy for the untrained ear to hear, more often than not, both.

> Even in the midst of the hellish wasteland, where savage anarchy unrelenting reigns and the laws of physics are no more than suggestions to those with the will to break them, some things remain. Lust, wrath, and more, the most primal pieces of mankind which lie buried before erupting forth, these constants may never change but perhaps the most all-consuming among them is greed, and its foremost incarnation may be the smugglers across the realm.
> Driven to brave hell again and again in pursuit of the silver and gold which gnaws at their soul, they buy low and sell high, transporting much-needed commodities and much-wanted luxuries between the domain of the greatest beneath Lord Killblood and fledgling settlements that struggle to survive, out of pure and simple spite for their false god more than any hope. Only some are mad enough to attempt it alone, but more common are those who band together in cutthroat trader’s guilds, seizing monopolies by the sword, and traveling in caravans larger, fiercer, and heavier armed than some lesser war-bands.
> These guilds are myriad and ever-in motion, rising and falling with the shifting of the fading stars above, but the most brutal are those who deal in the water worth many times its weight in gold.

>The North is the only place where the mythical starmetal can be found, buried miles beneath the ice.

>>65969725
Starmetal is the absolute apex of metallurgy, and no alloy, neither god-tech nor theurgy-wrought can surpass it in any save two respects. Its sharpness is eternal, cleaving any substance save the same with the flick of a wrist, be it magic or mundane, and its resilience defies all reason, for it is utterly unbreakable and unflinching against any assault, unless it is conducted with a starmetal weapon in which case it reacts as the finest quality steel. The difficulty of acquiring the substance is surpassed only by the difficulty of forging it, and the challenge of lifting the result.

For any war-smith worth the name knows that starmetal has a melting point that no flame in this reality can match, and only the mythical heaven forge cast down from the cosmos can melt the material enough to shape. Legend has it that three remain, one in the highest chambers of Lord Killblood’s chaos tower, one in the deepest depths of Lord Immortal’s impregnable vaults, and one lost to time, legend has it, somewhere in the farthest reaches of the chaos wastes. Getting access to any of these is a feat of legend in and of itself, but any war-smith would know that upon getting this far, their task is not yet complete, for starmetal has a mind of its own, and will attempt to devour the soul of the one who dares work it, even as it defies their attempt to cast it into shape. Because of this, only the mightiest of war-smiths may dare to forge it, those whose strength of will cannot be overcome, and those whose skill at smithing exceeds what is mortally possible.

>cont.
>>
>>65971385
Even if the starmetal is forged and its war-smith’s name sung by the thrashing skalds a thousand years hence, the difficulties remain, for its weight is enough that a leviathan giant of yore would struggle to lift any more than a thimble’s worth. The substance is fallen from the tapestry of stars, and left in the night skies, each anchors reality by weighing the firmament against those unspeakable aberrations that lurk beyond the void and seek to devour each and every soul.

this setting is too unimaginably kickass to be deleted - and if it did, that will say far more about the creativity-hating cantankerous culture that now predominates /tg/ than it does about the setting itself. There is no possible way the curmudgeons will attempt to use their mental gymnastics of accusing this glorious opportunity for collaborative worldbuilding, the best thing that /tg/ ever did, of being the OP's excuse for having other anons post fetish pics, once again projecting their sexual degeneracy upon other people to prove how normal, mainstream and heterosexual they are.

I would say that subsequent posters could draw upon Teknophage and Mr. Hero for inspiration.

Its hard to say what exactly is the make up of METAL
There is at least one part of unabashed but self-aware edge. Like old 40k, it knows where the border of sensibility was and flew past it. A good metal setting has a very low sensibility to grimdark ratio. Shit like modern 40k isn't as metal because it started to take itself more seriously and attempted to be more grounded and 'epic' with its art. A good metal setting doesn't have to try to be epic, it just is. There is a strange beauty amongst the darkness and edge that shines through and there is always hope for mankind.

>There is no after life, no realm for souls to travel to, for there is no escape from LORD KILLBLOOD DEATHBANE.
>Some souls are lost to the void-vikings furnaces, burned up in screaming skull-fire to power their war machines.
>Other souls might be consumed by the Necrospacers as a part of some foul ritual or debauched feast.

>Others still become trapped in rock, metal or even titanbone. They rip the material apart to fashion skeletal bodies that they can then possess.
>These Revenant Skulls know nothing but rage and hate, many would be heroes have been slain attempting to put these spirits to rest.

>Titanbone is the closest thing that the Realms have to terrestrial wood. Trees are a rare thing in the blasted hellscape of the world, and they are either dead and fragile or ferociously animate.
>Great columns of the stuff jut from the landscape, surrounded by slave camps that tirelessly mine and work the material into goods. These pillars are the remnants of gigantic creatures from a lost age, hence the name of the material.
>Titanbone differs from wood in one important way. It can hold an edge. This not only makes it ideal for normal construction, but also for swords, axes, and other blades.

This isn't r/worldbuilding, but i'll do it for you.

The Hive is a city which can be best likened to the bastard progeny of Ilthmar, the Kowloon Walled City, Mega-City One, New Crobuzon, and Apokolips. It is a hyperdense, ultraviolent ecosystem born of vicious human desperation. Cannibalism and urban warfare are extremely common, yet the city rebuilds itself naturally, for the demand for shelter demands that all buildings rise ever higher. There are radioactive balefires which burn in the streets, unwarranted heaps of refuse and dung blocking off roads surrounded by colonies of Vilelings, and eerie buzzing electrical towers inhabited by Shockmar.

Beneath the shadows of alleyways so vertiginous the green light of a radium lantern is required, gangsters riding atop mutated tarantulas duke it out with swords and daggers of salvaged scrapmetal and salvaged technology, summoning demons with tapestries of flayed skin. The vast bulk of the city consists squalid slums on many different layers, for the slums are fraught with dozens of odd avenues and structural inconsistencies due to constant architectural fumbling.

Older buildings are inhabited by ferocious clans of squatters who dwell in desecrated temples that were once, before the rise of Killblood, dedicated to some ancient and forgotten god, long before Killblood's men destroyed every trace of them - yet even today a handful of esoteric cults still remain, kept alive through secret codes and oral tradition. These cults are fiercely persecuted, yet they still remain.

The dishevelled denizens subsist entirely upon plunder and salvage, all of which are beneath Lord Killblood Deathbane's concern - in fact, he approves of their violent behaviours, for in times of war he might channel these violent urges into newfound military might, should he see fit to whip some discipline into them. Because of this the hive is very anachronistic - people walk 'round by foot, or hire cabs pulled by packs of mutant lizards.

>KILL, BLOOD, DEATH, and BANE do not bicker and squabble as other siblings might.
>At their genesis, Lord Killblood Deathbane forbade their congregation unless under his direct command.
>To each he gave a single task, to be pursued with singleminded devotion, consuming all their waking hours.
>That is all hours, for like their sire the Hellspawn do not sleep.
>KILL was tasked to catalog every possible way to end a life. To this end he wanders the realm of Lord Killblood Deathbane, sometimes as an active participant in the endless battles, other times as an observer. But wherever he goes, slaughter and death surely follow!
>BLOOD was charged to find all possible uses for body and soul. His studies have lead to the creation of countless gristly tools, war-machines, and engines of suffering. To gather materials for his work he often follows his brother KILL, but never too close, lest he incur the wrath of his father.
>DEATH was assigned the study of death, and how to prevent, reverse, or otherwise manipulate it. DEATH's work is ultimately to be used by Lord Killblood Deathbane to ensure that there is no escape from his realm, and that all die for his glory, eternally!
>BANE is a student of conflict. He is to learn every way in which a man, war-mutant, battle-cyborg, or other being may be induced to kill his fellow. BANE pursues his work in every field: gasses which drive those who inhale it mad with blood frenzy, sounds and images which override the will and spur the hindbrain to slaughter, serums condensed from the furious hate of those betrayed. No genesis of conflict is beyond his study, and wherever he goes genocide follows.

In the Hive, there is no law but what flows from the edge of a blade, but there are those who refuse to succumb to the anarchy, and make their own law. These vigilantes are lone candles raging against the eternal dark, soon to be snuffed out, but for a time, some are lucky enough to make light. They vary in methods, weapons, and even morals, the sole unifier is their relentless aggression that exceeds even the fiercest gangsters, the heart-stopping brutality of the rumors that spread like wildfire in their wake, and the steely will that denies reality all around them in favor of a hope of a better tomorrow. They aren’t everywhere and they’re no more than a drop of crystal clear water in an ocean of rotten filth, but they’re the closest thing the Hive has to order, and they are THE LAW

> Due to the difficulty of obtaining the ore, even the smallest chunks of starmetal are obscenely valuable to anyone with the capacity to forge it, and a sacrificial offering of any real quantity to LORD KILLBLOOD DEATHBANE is enough to earn someone enough wealth to live a dozen lifetimes of debauched luxury. However, LORD KILLBLOOD DEATHBANE’s COSMIC TOWER OF CHAOS is too full of gristly trophies to bother with most mortal guests, and whether or not they survive long enough to spend it is their own problem. By coincidence, most myths of those selling starmetal to LORD KILLBLOOD DEATHBANE end suddenly for the protagonists, when they least expected it, and it’s best not to venture into the saga of the fools who approached Lady Singulara, Lord Immortal, and in one terrible horror story, King Oberon.
