I'm sorry I couldn't finish this properly, but I have some personal stuff to attend to. Here's a half-finished datasheet for the planet we rolled last thread. Since we did basically nothing but just roll on tables, I decided to write some comprehensive fluff, since the concept was pretty interesting to me, even if the thread did nothing with it.
I'll finish it in time, with a proper gothic aesthetic (gothic lettering, parchment backgrounds, woodcuts, etc), but that'll take a few days. So here's the intermediate stage, about 5/8 done on the writing itself.

Pretty standard. maybe this is where the Chapter got all Sneaky Beaky when frontal shock and awe/rapid assault wasn't working? So they took a page from the RG and it worked out pretty well.

Yeah, but that's what I mean: I'm not sure that picture, as great as it is, makes up for the fact that the whole concept fundamentally makes no sense.
There just aren't any reasonable settings or situations where that sort of "camouflage" would work without basically massive asspulls, their basic chapter doctrine would be nothing but complete nonsense.

High-tech camoflage perhaps? They all wear stealth cloaks when they're sneaking up, and when it's go time, the cloaks turn iridescent rainbow colours and the marines are up in the enemy's grill.

The second planet we rolled up was an miniscule arid Pleasure World (we still need more details on it)

After that we rolled up two Inquisitors, both of the Ordo Malleus. The first one was a young female Puritan, while the second on was a older male radical inquisitor

At the moment we are rolling up a space marine chapter that the =][= of this sector has some ties with

i know

while the Marines Themselves might not be stealthy the drop-pods are

so like the Drop-pods just rain from nowhere

first Death Storm Drop-pods which are full of Flash-grenades that go off when they open and have Vid feeds so the Marine know where the defenders take cover

then Death company Drop-pods that land on the enemies that attempt to take cover and loose berserkers Point blank onto those That Aren't Crushed

then regular Drop pods land in areas that overlook any remaining Pockets of resistance and are also out of the death company's path

all in the space of like six minutes

lots of Flash grenades are used in order to blind their opponents
>>
>>63677253
Ho about dummy Drop Pods? Sort of just fascimilles with reentry shields and decoy launchers? They are used to draw fire and as kinetic bombardment, some filled with explosives as bombs. Make the enemy waste time and munitions to take them down
>>
>>63677281
Some drop pods are filled with EWAR suites so they can jam and hack enemy sensors/comms.

In general these Marines have taken Drop pod Assault to it's logical extreme with just shit tons of Drop Pod variants for different uses. The enemy can't be sure which ones hold Marines so this ties up their units to intercept and check each Pod and group. Some times they're dummies while some fire ATGMs at them or are repurposed Eradicator shells.
>>
>>63677253

>an enemy outpost is unaware that Marines are even in the sector and their Radars are empty when suddenly *BOOOOM* a Brightly coloured drop-pod lands in the Middle of their Fortress from out of fucking nowhere.
>the pod opens up to reveal Flash grenades that go off and Blind those who stared the at the pod in Shock as well as many many guns which open fire.
>panic ensures as the Half Blind Defenders Rush to cover and radio for backup only to find that their communications have been sabotaged.
>Screams Erupt From the terrified Garrison followed Closely by another *BOOM* as another Drop Pod slams into the Outpost and opens up with a Flash of Blinding lights
>but instead of Automated Gun Turrets it holds Giants.
>these Huge Armour-Clad invaders then set upon their Foe with a Bestial Frenzy some even attempting to Drink the Blood of their enemies the Surviving Defenders can do little to fight of their Mighty foes as the second drop-pod landed Directly on-top of a large pocket of Survivors as the took cover from the Gun-fire Crushing many, Blinding the rest and unleashing its Berzerker Payload Directly into the Crowd.
>The Outpost garrison Is Quickly Slaughtered as its inhabitants are either Ripped Limb From Limb or chased out of Cover and shot to Pieces. those that remain then attempt to Restore Order and mount a Defence only to be Greeted by another *BOOM* as even more Brightly Coloured Drop Pods make Landfall and open with another Blinding Flash as more Giants exit but these ones carry Guns, the last pockets of resistance are Dispatched in Showers of Gore as the Third Wave open Fire the Outpost is quickly silenced
>>
>>63677353

>a few days later a Recon team is Dispatched to find out what happened to the Outpost.
>they find only Craters and Corpses.
>they radio back to base that the Outpost was attacked.
>Nothing.
>they switch to an emergency Frequency and get through but the operators on the other end just creams and drops their vox
>in the back round gunshot can be heard.
>then a Deafening *BOOM*

I agree on the Dreadclaw idea. It was just to give them a little more flavor. I love the hook idea.

One Drop pod is a bomblet dispenser which spins around and shoots out bombs while it desnds

Another is equipped with a drill and goes under the base to detonate a mininuke to destroy the foundations

i seem to remember 35 being Plant only

Rolled 4 (1d35)

>>63693587
Nope

But 24 is, if this isn't applicable we'll just choose
>>
>>63693615
imdumb

we should stick to 35 then
>>
>>63693629
Yeah let’s keep it. Vampirism makes sense too since blood contains water

also we have two 35s

>>63693615
so lets go with 4 as well
>>
>>63693629
It's all right

Barrens
Omnivore
Allogamy
6th Sense
Orkz
Dangerous
Scores of Humans
Medium Size
Scales
Beast
Fearful Presence
Camo
Deadly Attack
Vampirism
Stun and Poisoned
All in all a deasly beast. If a group of Tribesmen take one down they are screened for Astartes candidacy
>>63693665
Same. Maybe these guys are bargain Fremen?

Also these Orkz are likely similar to the Snake Bites being very low tech even for Orz given the environment they live in. Also makes a good way to train the Guardsmen to fight Orkz later on
>>
>>63693692
>>63693665
Maybe all the creatures on this world have water sensing 6th sense and Vampirism as a theme given the low water contents? Maybe even the Tribes themselves are actually abhumans that can drink blood?
Another creature for the other world?
>>
>>63693692
We fought with honor of the Emperor, the bringer of water against the Green Beasts. The Green Beasts wanted to despoil the Aslocaar well on the Svart Mesa. We were lucky that that the Odlox lizards were in their breeding season when they Green Beasts attack. It lowered their numbers in order for us to drive them back to the Herkov Badlands - Interview of High chief Seezaar Ironblood by Imperium observer regarding the increased Ork activity on the planet
>>
>>63693742
What world should we add a xeno to next, or should we continue with animals for this world?
>>
>>63693842
Works perfectly. Time for a recruitment drive! So Guard or next thread?

I like it being this world, if we can continue from here>>63693742 that would be better. I was thinking a sort of Huntng Falcon for more elite members of the Regiments and Tribes, a water sensing blood sucking falcon would be great for scouting
>>
>>63693692
so how about

iron-age settlements built around sparse water sources
the inhabitants worship tech and are at constant war with the local feral Orks

make great Guard Recruits due to experience with orks and having adapted to low supplies

while their military tech is iron age through necessity the rest of their society is as basic as their foes (no written language very few advanced methods for anything that isn't warfare) which gives the inhabitants of the planet a reverence for the non-military technology found in the greater Imperium as to them, creating something so impossible for something not-related to warfare can only be the work of a true god
this also means that their attitude to Military tech is also rather reverent but not quite the true awe they would show towards a Re-caf Machine. though they will always use any guns given to them, these warriors would never chose their Crude Crossbows over something as magnificent as a las-pistol

this attitude makes them ideal recruits for the local Skitari
>>
>>63693902
i think these guys should be Skitari recruit

what with worshipping the Machine god
>>
>>63693914
Let’s hope we roll up a forge world in the sector then
>>
>>63693914
>>63693929
>>63693902
Maybe the Moons we rolled are rife with materials to use, so the mechanicus took it as a recruitment/mining system? I agree these guys would be great ofr the Skitarii.
>>
>>63693949
We can always go with that even if there is no forge world in the sector. It gives the Imperium a reason for even caring about this world. Speaking of the planet l, what shall we call it?
>>
>>63693974
Paarch

Imagine their reaction to lightbulbs?
>>
>>63693949

the nine moons are Rife with valuable materials and are currently being converted into little forge worlds
the Planet itself is useless as contains nothing other then its who the New Forge Moons Convert into Skitari

the Inhabitants themselves are-in fact-quite OK with this concept
not that the Tech priest care
>>63693974
or we could go with that IDK
>>63693989
amazing
Paarch it is
>>
Next planet, another planet in the same system, or continue to flesh out Paarch
>>
>>63694002
Maybe it's a Council of the Nine Forge Worlds as opposed to one big FW? Makes it more interesting bt then we'd need to roll each of them, with a different specialization and slight differences to their cultures. They aslo pretty much have a Titan Legion they share between themselves and each contributes to it.
>>63694042
Let's flesh out Paarch like above.
>>
>>63694054
they're like 9 miniature Forge worlds and they HATE each-other

each moon has a different Rare element inside it and each Forge moon Politic like MAD with each-other to get what they need

the Titan Legion can only be unleashed if all the Forge Moons agree on it which is only in the Most Dire of situations

hang on i have an idea
>>
>>63694103
Just what I had in mind. And the Paarch Tribesmen turned Skitarii unfortunately make the bulk of heir combine Skitarii legion if only by dint of numbers and experiences. Making it a largely Light Infantry force supported by regular Mechanicus forces with armor and such. They provide a noisy distraction nand draw in the enemy while the Tribesmen sneak around and destroy infrastructure/commanding troops.
>>
>>63694054
>>63694042
on Paarch their live a ferocious Beats known to the Paarchish as "the big Beasts" (their lack of a non-military culture showing)
it is said that those who slay a Big Beast and return with it's hide then they will be taken to heaven and join the Omnisahs rank
and sure enough those that do are picked up by shuttle and tested for compatibility with Sanguinus's gene-seed and, if compatible, inducted into the ranks of the nearby by Storm of Stars Chapter of space Marines

those who aren't get to become one of the really cool flavours of Skitarii
or get sent to a Schola depends on their age
>>
>>63694198
*Shooting Stars Chapter of Space Marines* Shit
>>
>>63694134
>>63694103
And each of the 9 rare materials/elemnts seems to be regenerative, if very slow. So this means each Forge Moon has a steady but slow source of their main income. Too much mining/harvesting has been known to deplete them rapidly which prevents the Mechs from getting too greedy and reinforces the politicking between them.

Pyranium: A material that can be mixed into an alloy to make it immensely heat resistant or conductive depenfding on how it is manipulated. Also very explosive and generates plasma if done correctly
>>63694198
Perfect
>>
>>63694218
For the Skitarii I think desert/dry colors would work well for them, but they also may just wear camo when needed. Also lots of Rust Stalkers and Dragoons for stealth/mobility
>>
>>63694134
the Tribsmen-based Skitarii Bulk must be ok'd by all 9 moons before they can be deployed slimier to the titan legion
however unlike the Titan legion the 9 Forge worlds don't really care for the Skitari as they are easily replaceable meaning that, unless one of the moons will be directly harmed by doing so, a forge moon attempting to green-light a Skitari expedition will most likely get the go-ahead
>>63694297
good

stalkers and dragoons would be a fitting common troop but maybe also when it comes to the more specialist equipment each forge moon must provide their own
so the troops are universal but the Amour and Specialist Equipment Vary from Moon to Moon
like a Cohort sent by Pyrainium Moon would be Equipped with more plasma weapons then a cohort sent by one of the other 8

also the Troops have Desert colours but the Specialists have their moons Colours
>>
>>63694376
That works perfectly. SO should we start another thread or wait till over 300?

Kyprisia: A material similar to Pyranium, but deals with electricity as opposed to heat it self. Ideal for turbines, wiring and more it can also be used to disrupt electricity in targets, bio electricity included
>>
>>63694400
Obsinite: A material that can either buff or null Psyker powers. As expected, this material is n immensely high demand by the Inquisition, the Ordo Malleus inparticualr as well as the Black Ships for their holding cells. Weapons can either empower or completely leave a psyker at their mercy/weakend whether by being struck or simply being in its presence. Most commonly found as amulets, blades and arrow/Bolt heads
>>
>>63694400
over 300 def

Promethane
a harmless liquid that turns into Promethium when mixed with equal parts Water and Promethene

Promethene
a harmless liquid that turns into Promethium when mixed with equal parts Water and Promethane

It should be noted that the Forge moon built on the moon filled with Promethane and the Forge moon built on the moon filled with Promethene Despise each-other with a passion intense. And constantly Politic against each-other despite the fact that a slow in one moons production will mean a slow in the other moons Production

this Politicing is such that even the Other Moons find it Quite extreme

not enough to interfere though quite the opposite in fact
if the two moons only Quarrel with each-other then that just means two less Competitors for them to contend with
>>
>>63694542
I think you have some repeating sentences or did you mean something else?
>>
>>63694569
PromethAne
PromethEne

i did
>>
>>63694608
Shit I didn't notice that. My bad. I can see why those would be very important materials
>>
>>63694629
So the 9 Moons each get together onc in a while or after the current one dies to elect an 'Arch Magos' to represent them. Obviously this is rife with feuding and recently even the Inquisition has attempted the idea of putting a Magos from another FW or someone else to take the place to reduce such politicking.

Yay?
>>
We have a little time how about a second creature?

We have vamprisim and water seeking 6th sense already so Scavenger?

How does the creature reproduce? (d10)

yes

though the Current Election for a new Arch Magos is still ongoing each Moon voting for itself
this will continue on until one of the would-be Arch Magos dies of outside causes force one of the Moons to vote for another Candidate breaking the deadlock by a margin of one resulting in the winning moon being Impossibly Smug, the tie breaker Moon being bitter about the death of their Representative, and the other 7 moons hating the winner/tie breaker with a passion renewed
