Sinners, Heretics, Criminals off all sorts are sent ot this world for mining aon theplanet or processing on the moons. Those deemed 'ineffective' are not shot like other proisons, they are cast out during the summer months to die from the heat itself. It is also a favorite training ground for local Marine Chapters due to how harsh the environment and creatures are.

The creatures are likely melta resistant burrowers

With most of their military power tied up in keeping their own populations in check, the warring underground cities rely on what they have in excess: sheer manpower, sent out in droves to the surface with little more than a weapon and a canteen.

>as a result of this dichotomy, many veteran soldiers develop distinct, separate moods and personality quirks depending on their environment. Some take weeks to shift temperaments, while others switch the instance they walk through the gate.
>Promises made on the surface may not be honored down below, or vice versa. A commander who wins the die-hard respect of his soldiers on the surface may be assaulted and murdered in a subsurface bar by those same soldiers. A savvy merchant may find his indentured bodyguards vanished suddenly the night after embarking on a surface caravan, the call of the desert awakening their long-buried independence.

I actually like it. The Purity index says we're divergent from the DA along with being a later founding so we may not be into the whole Fallen business and the CM decided to forge his own Chapter to protect the innocent after he had to ditch a planet/system to hunt a false Fallen lead?
>>
>>62888171
focusing more on light of course, they should have sunglasses, basically, in their helmets, and go full light and fire weapons, power weapons, las weapons, flamers and melta, flashbangs, modded bikes with ultra bright headlights, jump packs that shoot fire, maybe a mostly white and grey color palette. you all think?
>>
>>62888171
How abot Fireball for a planet name? While Fireball was and still is a popular destination for Subsector to dump their criminals, the rare guard regiments they producd were top quality, ever since the Lantern Men took over they have taken the populace for their own use into Serfdom.

>>62888235
That works
>>
>>62888249
Fireball was the last straw for Chapter Master Issacmandious Apos, while defending the world from a DP led invasion the Astropaths icked up a message from a Newarby DA Chapter signaling the code for a Fallen sighting. After one too many false leads that led to far too many lost lives Apos *ignored* it to save the System of Fireball and banishing the DP in the process, routing the Traitor forces. They then decided to set up dhop and petition for founding a new Chapter after allowing those to leave if they wished, whether Marine or Serf.

Organiztion

And I'll be goinf to bed, you guys keep this thread up you here me!?

Obviously this action to forgo the hunt for the Fallen did*Not* go over well with the other DA Chapters nearby, let alone the DA themselves when they learned of it.But if there was one thing other than his leadership and fighting skill Apos was known for, it was his speaking skills. He was able to create a succient dialogu and sway the parties involved to allow he and his followers to form theirown Chapter and no longer follow the Hunt. But in exchange, the Lanterns would be stricken from the DA records of successors, attain no aid, and abandon their right to be Sons of the Lion. They agreed.
>>
Why did I have to miss out on all the good parts of making the planet! I was in the Clavessa Secundus threads and I enjoyed it immensely. Maybe until OP gets back perhaps we can roll on the planet generator for the moons on this world?

In the meantime I will try to think of some fluff.
>>
>Solzide Amber
Solzide Amber is one of the main spaceports on the planet, here ore and alloys are shipped out and supplies enter. The goods traveling to and from Solzide Amber do so via the vast network of antigrav and maglev tracks lates our to the priesthood of Mars ages ago.

Fireball seems almost too casual. What about Cinder, or The Kiln, or Slagfall?

Also, I think we should play up the summer inferno as almost an ocean of fire that slowly creeps across the land, and they treat its advance and retreat almost like tides.
>Lull: at its lowest temperatures, trade is common on the surface of the planet. Temporary towns may even spring up for those who seek an escape from the cramped deep cities, but permanent structures are rare; little can survive the scouring winds of summer. What little can be built to last are little more than squat round bunkers in the sand.
>Ebb and Flow: these brief seasons are the domain of the godly, the desperate and the mad. It is possible to survive on the surface, but the few who can are pressingly aware of the looming threat.
>Full: under the full power of the sun, the only ones who dare take to the surface are servants of the Adeptus Mechanicus, clad in the finest gifts they can bestow to survive their journeys. Even then it is a gamble.
