Totemic Charm: This Chapter has strong beliefs in the icons of either the Emperor or their Primarch. A Battle- Brother from this Chapter would never be caught without such an icon on their person. Example: Chapter Heraldry on a necklace, Imperial Aquilla tattooed over the right eye.

Okay, so we're just a little OCD when it comes to expressing our beliefs. Speaking of, roll 1d100 to see what our chapter beliefs are!

Iron Rooks? Both because Rooks are corvids but also because the chess piece is a moving tower, which seems appropriate for both Thunderhawks and Titans.
>>
>>61206549

Iron Murder is a bit too Khornate, by the emprah
>>
>>61206379
regarding the doctrine.
thundercrows keeps infantry of the titans feet so they can focus on bigger targets.
on top of providing excellent reconnaissance and battlefield intel.

this also pairs with how they deal with their homeworld in a low key, out of sight out of mind, way.
>>
>>61206598

This was my thinking behind the Kooky Rooks...
>>
>>61206546
You make a good point, I'll throw my hat in the ring for Storm Crows.
>>
>>61206598
Sounds good desu. So looks like we’re forgoing our glorious primarch’s tactics and going full apeshit with aerial support and our titan friends?
>>
>>61206618
Makes sense to me.
>>
>>61206618

Don't the Mechanicus have Skitarii to be the Titan meathshields? I could see them going ahead of the titans to remove anything that could cause harm, allowing the titans to become the center of attention. And then they swoop in en masse with their thunderhawks and stormbirds to deliver true shock and awe.
>>
>>61206698
thats the go to strat, but no battle plan survives contact with the enemy.
and thunderhawks are a helluva lot faster than skitarii.
>>
>>61206685
There's a time to be subtle and leave no trace, and there's a time to go balls to the wall death from above. Just because nobody knows that we engage in the former doesn't mean we're not good at stealth, it just means that we're so good at it, nobody has ever caught on.
>>
So how do we worship our primarch anyway? Do we, given our admittedly close ties to the mechanicus, worship him as a son of the omnissiah?
>>
>>61206756
No, we follow his example by buddying up to the people with access to the best weapons so that we have more tools at our disposal to annihilate the enemy, particularly the eldar scum.
>>
>>61206731
Oh yeah sure, I think your original strategy just made it sound like the chapter was slogging around at the feet of titans. When that would be the duty of the attached Skitarii regiments. I think the idea is that the chapter does something to compliment the titans. And that could be speed and precision, compared to the slow and deadly approach of the titan.

>>61206756
I could see it being a means of worshipping their primarch by bringing his teachings and ideals to the machine. It could almost be like a challenge for them to bring the teachings of shadow and stealth to their war machines.
>>
>>61206744
The dirtiest trick is to cause a giant diversion with more thunderhawks than anybody thinks possible while titans somehow sneak up on the enemy.
>>
>>61206836
The best way to hide a sneak attack is with a sneak attack
>>
>>61206836
Or maybe have the enemy so preoccupied with the giant robot outside that nobody notices literal crates full of supplies and piles of data being stolen by the scouts, or hears the incoming thunderhawk bombing raid.
>>
>>61206930
You know what that could actually work. Using both aerial strikes and some help from our titanicum buddies as a diversion while the strike teams sneak in to get the real targets. I like this.
>>
>>61206756
Well, there was that one time Corvus thought he could do a better space marine and fucked up. Maybe now that these guys are Primaris and jacked up with cybernetics they think they're living up to that next generation he attempted?
>>
>>61206990
I want to believe there was one time that they managed to stealth a titan onto the field, and it was all the plan of the Chaptermaster who slew a Daemon Prince.
>>
>>61196494
>I haven't seen one of these threads for a while
We literally had one yesterday.
>>
>>61206992
Does anyone even know about what he did?

>>61206990
I mean the thunderhawks really help get fire off the titans, I mean who do you shoot? The giant fuckoff big robot, or the planes shooting your guns that can kill the the fuckoff big robot?
>>
Can we get some writefaggots in here?
>>
>>61207023
Maybe in some lost archive of the Raven Guard or Raptors, but I'm sure Corax removed it all after he had to put down his corrupted sons
>>
>>61206990
>papa farseer, whats that rumbling?
>oh its just those foolish mon'keigh doing another bombing run, dont worry they can reach us here.
>but they kinda sounds like footsteps.
>...

farseer looks outside and sees a walking cathedral of death, chanting binary insults about the farseers progenitor, and its way closer than what it ought to be.

>>
>>61207003
Love that, no one says you have to kill the Prince with a (stupid) sword, when a Warlord titan can do it for you.
>>
So how did we get to hate the eldar that badly? Did they ditch us in our glorious fight against a daemon army?
>Glorious chapter is fighting a Slaaneshi incursion, eldar joined us for some reason
>Turns out they were just trying to recover some soulstones
>They literally vanish as soon as they are done
>Chapter manages to win the day, taking down a powerful daemon prince to boot (maybe the titanicus saved us, which is why we’re so buddy-buddy with em), but suffer grievous casualties
>Manage to replenish our lost numbers, but our murderboner for the elves is still going
>binarycaw.jpg
>>
>>61207145
>puny human, you think that little peashooter of a gun can hurt me?
>no i dont, so i brought one that could.
suddenly a vast shadows grows over both combatants.
the daemon turned around, only to look down the barrel of a volcano cannon.
while it was distracted, the chapter master released a skyhook that was promptly picked up by a thunderhawk speeding by.
the daemon let out impotent screams of frustration as it was burned with the heat of a thousand suns.
>>
>>61207214
This sounds about right.
>>
>>61207214
maybe the eldar fought the titan legion, without the chapter there, and managed to take down a much beloved titan, crew and all.
their hatred for the eldar is fueled by the murder of a titan friend, and the shame of not being there to protect it.
>>
>>61207145
To be fair, the titan was called the Sword of Judgement, so people sort of got confused when retelling the tale.

>The Eldar have left us to fight against the impending wave of Chaos alone. Our Thunderhawks have done all they can, but most have been downed or destroyed. The Titanicus are nowhere to be found.
>The Daemon Prince leading the incursion challenged the Chapter Master to a duel, aiming to besmirch his honor by making him back down. It did not work-- he is indomitable, and possibly the smartest out of all of us, despite being from an earlier generation.
>I remember seeing Daemon's claws clash with our Chapter Master's Thunderclaws, the sparks lighting the night as our forces still fought among themselves.
>Few things will ever give me as much hope as seeing a silhouette the size of a mountain in the smoke and fog of war.
>Fewer things will give me as much as seeing that warm glow break through the dark.
>The tide turned in our favor then, the Sword of Judgement among other, smaller machines saving countless of my brothers.
>We would later learn that they had been held up by Eldar. Evidently a portion of their force had kept the Titanicus distracted while they finished some mission we had mistaken for staving off the daemons.
>They destroyed one of the Titans, along with the crew.

Would it be cool if the totem item for the divergent chapter thing was like a helmet or weapon made from pieces of the titan they failed to protect?

Any writefags in this thread? If so, I would like to read about some of the Storm Crow's exploits.

What are potential exploits and characters?
The Chapter Master would have to be one, of course, and his slaying of the Daemon Prince/sneaking of the Sword of Judgement has already been explained. He also needs a name.
>>
>>61209218
Well, given our established hatred of the eldar, something to do with hunting them down and getting some revenge wouldn't be out of place.

Maybe the Storm Crows provide unexpected support for an imperial guard regiment.

Something where they find an ancient titan, perhaps?

As for the Chapter Master's name, I will throw out Ishmael Strunn.

>This is the formal inquisitorial report on Brother Dimicar of the Storm Crows Chapter of the Adeptus Astartes. He was one of the four marines reported to have been missing by Chapter Master Ishmael Strunn.
>After the destruction of one of the Adeptus Titanicus's Reaver Battle Titan "Sword of Judgement," they held a service in which each of the Chapter's members forged helmets out of the remaining scrap. Its reactor shields were rigged to fail upon use of its main weapon, resulting in the entirety of the crew to be either burned alive by the heat of its reactor or to be killed by the Titan's inner structure becoming compromised by overheat from both the reactor itself and its Volcano Cannon, which it used to exterminate a Daemon Prince before they could kill the Chapter Master.
>Four of these Storm Crows, reeling from the loss of the Sword of Judgement and its crew, somehow managed to slip away from their brothers after the forging of their new helms and make their way off planet with a ship filled with enough Melta Bombs to put a significant hole in our munitions ledgers.
>Or in an Eldar Craftworld.
>When asked as to how he and his brothers knew where the Craftworld was, his only response was that he "could smell those treacherous xenos," and offered no other information. Due to the destruction of the ship that they had used, we could not gather anything else.
>Due to a lack of familiarity with Eldar technology and civilization, the marines did not entirely manage to sabotage the Craftworld as a vessel, but they did manage to destroy a great many Wraithbone Constructs, as well as a massive, locked chamber full of tear shaped stones.
>After enough explosions the Eldar finally caught on, and Dimicar had to escape with his marines. Their small ship wasn't quite equipped to handle a barrage from the Craftworld's own smaller vessels, so they then had to escape to the nearest planet, which we now know to have been stricken from the records for reasons unknown.
>>
>>61211893
Nice, keep going.

>The planet is not unlike their homeworld, though its jungles were not anywhere near as tame as those which they were accustomed to.
>They had only the minimal equipment they had brought with themselves on their demolition mission, but they are Space Marines. Dying of exposure or hunger was out of the question for the most part, though the local flora and fauna were quite hostile based on what we now know.
>There were several nights where the marines were attacked by various native predators and carnivorous plants. Most of their munitions were used to save themselves from the jaws of xenos beasts. We have logged what samples they kept of the creatures that had attacked them on the planet. More research to be done.
>Around a week or so after they landed, they found a signal to follow. Some strange frequency continued getting picked up by their equipment, along with an odd spike in radiation in the direction of said signal. It led them toward the only mountain they had seen on the planet's surface, surrounded by massive trees and heavy foliage in every direction.
>When they arrived at the mountain, they entered what they had thought to be a cave mouth. Dimicar stated that he remembers one of his brothers thinking it was other marines, stranded. He himself thought it might be more Eldar, or perhaps even Orks.
>Those theories were debunked quickly upon finding the source of the radiation and frequency: a dormant Titan's Reactor Core, far larger than even the Sword of Judgement's.
>The mountain they had found was a long abandoned Titan, one which may have been somewhere close to an Imperator class, if only a bit smaller.
>Utilizing what little they knew of how to work a God-Machine from the Titanicus, they managed to amplify the signal and seal the radiation again. It is a working hypothesis that the core's radiation may have accelerated mutation in the flora and fauna surrounding. It was not long before we picked up their signal.
>So did the Eldar.

Hey, thanks. Long time reader, first time writefag.
>>61212355
>When we arrived two nights later- the Storm Crows demanded they prepare for at least a night before we head out to find their squad, as they expected them to be able to hold out for at least that long and required the utmost preparation- we saw a planet littered with wraithbone wreckage, some minor vessels stuck in trees while other constructs that had been made were, in the meanwhile, impaled on the surroundings, destroyed by traps of ingenious make, or toyed with by some of the native species.
>Evidently the Eldar, in all their "superior" xenos wisdom, had decided that it would not be hard to kill a few mon'keigh on some planet they had no equipment on.
>First came the destruction of the vessels they sent in the ground troops on. When their soldiers did not return from the jungle, they sent in their constructs of wraithbone.
>A couple squads were killed by predators, others destroyed by the machinations of the marines. Traps, constructed out of metals from the Titan and materials from the nature surrounding, killed many of the Eldar with ease.
>The Eldar did not find that cave entrance. After enough of their warriors went missing they simply cut their losses, we believe.
>After retrieval, punishment has been forgone for Dimicar and his squad, as they showed amazing wit in the face of death and found the Titan we currently refer to as "Tempest Citadel."
>A member of the Titanicus informed me, later, that they are thinking of changing the name once they get all of the wildlife off of it.
>Dimicar is to be bookmarked for later surveillance, at the request of Ishmael.

I also like it. Have we thought about a color scheme yet? Black and white? Black and purple? Black and black?

I'm thinking black for the main body, gold for the symbols and heraldry, with trim varying between marines depending on their speciality. For example, a techmarine might have a blue trim, whereas an apothecary might ave a green trim. Yes, I took this idea from the raven guard, because it works.

In that case, I applaud you anon. Feel free to share anything else you come up with, I'll read it.

I agree on the colored markings for specialities, though i disagree on the colors chosen.

I think maybe doing special marking on the armor might be the way to go. Something unique.

Does anyone have the primaris color scheme maker that isnt shitty?

blue for tech priest, and green for apothecary seems just plain wrong. They should stick to red and white and are their own distinct marking.

I feel we should be talking about the basics first, rather than the specialist roles. Like tactical, assault, elite, and heavy support.

I think one idea might be to reference old heresy era markings for them. I mean, a lot of PRimaris were from the pre-heresy to post-heresy years. That could be why they have such a strong connection to their primarch. They were gone when he left, and they feel guilty about not being with their chapter at the time of need.

That seems reasonable, I can get behind that.

Heavy support should probably be easy to spot, both to recognize an ally and to draw the enemies attention away from the lighter units. I'm thinking bright colors for them.

Tacticals should probably have more muted colors, something that just blends in, to keep them from being noticed.

I'm not sure about assault or elite units. Any ideas?
>>
>>61213649
Well now I'm wondering two things.

Should we have a specialized air support unit for the Storm Crows? Or should certain squads be this sort of thing only. I could see that those squads dropping from the thunderhawks aren't their infiltrators, and sort of drop down guns blazing on the enemy as the Emperor's fury rains down from the heavens. That I could see being the tactical and heavy weapons squads. But since these are primaris, their infiltrators are the elite reivers,

And two, how should we address the ties to the mechanicus? Should we implement cogs into their iconography?
>>
>>61213734
With the emphasis they place on thunderhawk assault, They should definitely have people whose sole purpose in the chapter is to pilot them.

> drop down guns blazing on the enemy as the Emperor's fury rains down from the heavens. That I could see being the tactical and heavy weapons squads.
I agree. stealth operations tend to be the riskiest and most difficult, so it makes sense that only the most elite among them are entrusted with such tasks.

> how should we address the ties to the mechanicus?

That's easy, change the raven from holding a lightning bolt in both talons to the raven holding the lightning in one talon and a cog in the other.

New primaris chapters still have manlets, right? Do we have assault marines?
>>
i wasnt the biggest fan of storm crows but popular opinion seems to have won out.

as for the color scheme, i im liking >>61215799 but i would suggest changing the red for a silver or metal color.
i get red for mars, but i dont think it jives with the raven guard aesthetics.
i do wholeheartedly like the insignias.

some other ideas i had, in no particular order:
giving their connection to the titan legions, tanks and other heavy machinery is always well maintained.
all marines are tought to observe the proper rites and rituals regarding their equipments machine spirit.
techmarines holds a special position in the chapter, often working as liasons to titan crews.
servo skulls resembling crows.
a notable tactic is using continual bombardment to provide smokescreens for titans.
there is a warhound titan that honors the chapter with a crows head cockpit.
a few titans have thunderhawk landing platforms.
imperator princeps can have a fair bit of clout, so one might have a squad serving as honor guard.
it is often used as a term of endearment to refer to titans as small or little brothers.
the marines somtimes play out stealth missions on titan targets to test their skill and the legions defenses.
sufficiently large titans are sometimes used as literal cathedrals.
a few titans are marked with the heraldry of the chapter, and few tanks and thunderhawks with the healdry of the legion.

Yeah the red being a connection is a great observation anon, much better than my opinion that it would look cool.

Honestly though, I went with red because it really it gave me a vibe of power, and is very dominating. Honestly, when I imagine the Storm Crows I think about them walking out of the front hatch of a thunderhwak just blasting everything away around the front. Marching slightly more slowly and methodically as they blast everything around them. Which to me, is one of the ways they utilize their thunderhawk assaults, those are where they draw the attention of their enemies, bursting through fire and flames and making themselves known to strike fear and disarray throughout the enemy. Meanwhile, their infiltrators utilize the fear to cause havoc in the back. And all this as the fires of a blast from a titan's weapon burns around them. I was thinking of how the fire interacted with the black and red and really wanted to go with that.

And I double checked the raven guard successors to see what was good or not, and realized you totally have carte blanche on that. Some of the designs are loud as hell. But here is a possible silver version too.
>>
>>61228517
I like this design just as much as I do the other one. Maybe red for assault and silver for infiltrators?

>Literally the same time
So should we go with the higher roll or the one that makes them normal? It is an Antiquarian World with secret shit.
>>
>>61235830
I vote higher roll.
>>
Rolled 2 (1d2)

>>61235812
>>61235813

I will roll 1d2. If it's a 1, I will use the two. If it's a 2, I will use the ten.
>>
So it seems some of the ideas of the interactions between the storm crows and the talons of mars were there this whole time. It seems the emperor has guided these die this day. Perhaps that day the Sword of Judgement slew the daemon prince was the day their bond with the Storm Crows was forged.

The chapter master had looked upon his noble savior, a god machine of ancient times. A creature of grandiose machinery, and unequalled firepower, but it was wounded, weak, broken not in steel, but in spirit. Ashamed and battered, this walking weapon of divine machinery still performed it's duty to the end. And all the chapter master could think of, all he could hear in his mind was the word of his primarch. The word they have etched into their psyche, to reconsile their ten millennia of slumber.

Nevermore
>>
>>61235886
The 10 it is, then.

Secretive, Very Suspicious, borderline Tech-heretics. I guess we only really trust the Storm Crows and this as yet unmade Imperial Guard Regiment. Roll 1d10 for Skitarii type, then we move on to the Guard regiment.
>>
>>61235890
This. A thousand times, this.
>>
Rolled 2 (1d10)

>>61235907
Roll for skitarii

Also I think the forge world robe colors should be black with white highlights to show their closeness with the Storm Crows
>>
Rolled 8 (1d10)

>>61235907
>>
Rolled 1 (1d2)

>>61235938
>>61235940
Again? Time for the d2, if 1 we use the two, if 2 we use the eight.
>>
>>61235965
Just use the 8 for strength
>>
>>61235965
The two, so be it.

Skitarii Mars Pattern (codex style)

Well, that's that done, we've already established that the Legio has taken a beating, so I won't ask you to roll for Legion strength.

For reference:

Time for numero cuatro
>>
>>61235996
Wait, misread the table, so an eight means that our Skitarii legion is over strength.
>>
https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Imperial_Guard_Regiment_Creation_Tables

Okay, train has no brakes, so let's roll up the Imperial Guard regiment the Talons of mars are allied with! Roll 1d10 for regiment classification.
>>
>>61236012
So an over strengthed skitarii regiment on a forgeworld with titans and an ancient and terrible secret. Strange eh?

One idea I was thinking of was to throw some mystery into the forgeworld by having it go by the nickname of the planet. Shatter-Moon where the large moon that orbits the forgeworld has a massive hole going right through it. And not of a natural design it seems.
>>
>>61235923
Thanks man
>>
>>61236069
Unless you want this to be a second moon, the original moon is the Chapter homeworld, which is a civilised jungle world
>>
>>61236114

I thought the chapter homeworld is separate from the titan's forgeworld? Like the two crossed paths rather than the chapter being stationed in their proximity
>>
>>61236153
The chapter was gifted the moon of the titan legion's forge world after they crossed paths
>>
>>61236172

Aye, missed that bit. That'll show me for skimming through the thread rather than reading everything.

Rolled 10 (1d10)

>>61236065
>>
>>61236199
Aren't we skipping class? We already determined it was an armor regiment
>>
>>61236199
Navy Armsmen: Experts in void-combat, they'll defend the ship or take the enemy's.

Interesting, now roll 1d100 for recruitment criteria.
>>
>>61236230

Goddamn it better be spacers. The armored regiment could be made up of V O I D - T A N K S
>>
>>61236213
Right, armor regiment, sorry. 1d100 for recruitment criteria please.
>>
Rolled 97 (1d100)

>>61236230
Fingers crossed for spacers.
>>
>>61236285

That's a re-roll right there.
>>
Rolled 1 + 1 (1d3 + 1)

>>61236285
Roll a number of d100's equal to the result.
>>
Rolled 35, 66 = 101 (2d100)

>>61236321
on it.
>>
>>61236339

So is it both? Do we have vat grown nobility?
>>
>>61236339
35=Nobility: Bought their commission for honor and glory.

66=Vat-grown: No families to complain, no friends to consider.

Because we're Navy Armsmen, do we want to forgo these for Spacers? Either way, 1d10 for nature of recruitment.
>>
Rolled 4 (1d10)

>>61236377
I say we just take the Spacers.
>>
>>61236377

Well we could drop either or really. As nobleman grown from bio vats, probably because of space inbreeding, is strange for a ship. But just as strange for that ship to be have a tank regiment.

But sticking to the rules of fate. We can totally just go for the spacers since that's written in.
>>
>>61214811
>>61215130
yo them red stripes on the helmet are dope
>>
>>61236403
Vat-grown Spacers sounds better than Vat-grown nobility.
>>
Rolled 10 (1d10)

>>61236377
I vote Spacers
>>
>>61236417

Thanks man. I'll be doing work for the rest of these later after I get some sleep. I don't have work, so I'll spend the day on this thread probably.

I'm definitely looking forward to SPACE TANKS
>>
Rolled 1 (1d100)

>>61236445
Standard. Nobility doesn't work at all then.

Roll for Homeworld
>>
>>61236452
Also if we roll homeworld lost while i sleep. Im just saying we should go with the idea of these naval armsmen being part of a space flotilla that fled the planet and are now buddy buddy with the titans and storm crows in their quest for a new home.
>>
>>61236395
Spacers it is then.

Elite tithe: The best of the best of the planet were recruited for this regiment. (If caste-born or nobility was rolled on demographic table, you may select this by default)

Only the best Spacers get to join up, eh? Alright, I can see that. Roll 1d100 for our regiments homeworld.
>>
>>61236476
Discenus creator here, I'm thinking the guard world should be closer to the systems binary stars than the forge world, and would have been a desert before becoming a hive world, and it's called Hastata
>>
>>61236499
Already rolled here:

Alright, I didn't see that. Teach me to skim through posts.

Hive World: No claustrophobia, excellent sense of direction? Urban combat!

>>61236529 can be for terrain.
Ice: Cold-blooded, with hearts of fire.

Okay, our homeworld is a frozen Hive World.

We've established that we're an armored regiment, so let's move on to rolling 1d10 for our specialty.

Also, it's really late where I am and I have work in the morning, so can someone else please take over handling rolls for the regiment?

Modified equipment, I guess it pays to have friends in the mechanicus. Rolling for creed.
>>
Rolled 62 (1d100)

>>61240176
>For The Homeworld: This regiment's mission is to demonstrate the skill and steel of the homeworld to the rest of the Imperium.
Kinda goes with Discenus' isolationism

Rolling for enemies, since friends have already been established as the Mechanicum/Legio Titanicus
>>
>>61240622
Chaos Space Marines, wow these guys must be some kinda badass. Although, what did we expect from STEALTH TANKS?

Maybe these aformentioned CSM can be a traitor group from the Storm Crows
>>
>>61240176
For The Homeworld: This regiment's mission is to demonstrate the skill and steel of the homeworld to the rest of the Imperium.

It may be cramped, remote, and frozen to the core, but it's ours, and nobody is ever going to take it from us.

now, let's not extend the cluster fuck any further, and just say that our regiment is allied with the Storm Crows as well as the Mechanicus. Roll 1d100 for our regiments greatest enemy.
>>
>>61240657
Already did here:>>61240622
>>
>>61240622
Chaos Space Marines, holy shit. I guess This regiment doesn't afraid of anything.

Okay, that's all the rolling done, you're up, writefags!
>>
would love to write some stuff but can someone help me with a small summary of the the legio, forgeworld and regiment?
thread has become a bit of a clusterfuck.
how the hell did we arrive at stealthtanks?
>>
Thought I'd do some writefaggotry to tie the new Guard regiment with the Storm Crows and the Talons of Mars
>Be tank commander Valsten from the 3rd company of the Hastanan 19th Armoured Regiment "Snow Leopards"
>Fighting battle against Emperor's Children on frontier world
>Taking heavy losses, with no line of retreat in sight
>Turn to aim, but lascannon fire from enemy Helbrute destroys my hellhound's turret and fries the engine, the driver is now limp in his chair
>Heretic Space Marines closing in, looks like my time is up
>Pray to the Emperor for aid, hoping that I can make it out of here alive
>All of a sudden hear sound of Thunderhawks overhead
>Peak out over destroyed tank, black clad Astartes are engaging their heretic brethren
>The leader of the Emperor's Children warband, an exceptionally grotesque Daemon Prince, steps forward and challenges the leader of the Imperial Space Marines to a duel
>The noble Astartes accepts, lightning claws glimmering with holy light in the darkness
>The duel rages on for hours, before the disgusting heretic gains the upper hand
>About to cut down the Emperor's angel of death when a massive cannon charge sounds out from behind me
>A FUCKING TITAN appears from the smog, and fires at the daemon, incinerating it instantly
>Immediately after, an explosion rocks the god-machine, causing it to fall over, burning from its core
>Regiment Commander, taking the opportunity, orders a full charge ahead
>Obviously can't move my vehicle, so I order the remaining crew out and we charge on foot
>Astartes and guardsmen fighting as brothers, with god-machines supporting from the rear
>What a glorious sight to behold
>Slaaneshi heretics are eradicated, Emperor truly bless this day
>The Regimental Commander declared from this point forward, we are forever in debt to the astartes and the Mechanicum for their aid

First time writing something, constructive criticism very welcome
>>
>>61241136
Pretty good for a first try, my only complaint is that it's not longer.
>>
>>61241236
Damn, I could write a part 2, maybe introduce how the concept of STEALTH TANKS came about
>>
>>61241255
Do it, I love me some writefaggotry.
>>
>>61241136
well done.
alot of good callbacks to earlier posts.
ie. its good but could use some dramatisation.
unfortunately that can quickly turn out to become a wall of text in post format.

alot of the lore seems to be coming down to this one crucial moment of a three way war between imperium, chaos and eldar.
kinda makes me wanna throw some orkz in for good measure, perhaps there were the last of the WAAARGH responsible for the legios crippling, and so were being chased by the legio.

a common thread seems to be principles of debt and loyalty.
>>
>Be Regimental commander Hildetand
>Six months since the fall of the Sword of Judgement
>Supporting the Storm Crows astartes chapter against an Ork WAAAGH! that has overtaken much of the local sector
>The greenskins had looted several titans, and were using them with deadly effect
>The Talons of Mars had deployed their own god-machines to fight alongside the Astartes and my regiment, however they were severely under-strength and were barely holding the line against the Xenos onslaught
>The Orks had even looted a massive Imperator-class titan, and intel suggested that the Warboss itself had taken up residence within it
>The talons currently had no Imperators of their own, and as such were unable to go toe to toe with the defaced machine
>We would need to take it down for there to be any chance of an Imperial victory
>Lightbulb.astropathicchoir
>I was born on Cadia, and I had once worked under the command of Lord Castellan Creed
>I knew firsthand the type of exploits he could pull off that would turn the tide of even the most dire of battles
>Summon the Storm Crows Chapter Master over the comms, and tell him to bring a Thunderhawk
>Chapter Master Strunn arrives within minutes, I never cease to be amazed by the Storm Crows' timeliness
>Tell him my idea, he seems interested
>We're going to link up a Leman Russ Demolisher to the Thunderhawk, and drop it in on the top of the looted Imperator, where the Warboss is yelling commands to its subordinates
>Stealth is of the upmost importance
>Within the hour, a Demolisher from the reserves is hooked up to the underside of the Space Marine transport, complete with accompanying tank crew, and the large aircraft is off towards the titan
>The airship uses the cover of stormclouds to fly directly over the god-machine at a height of about 25 feet
>Just high enough for the idiotic greenskins to not notice over their usual infighting
>"Brace for Impact!"
>The tank is mechanically unhooked from the Thunderhawk, and falls 25 feet....
>>
>>61241987
>We're going to link up a Leman Russ Demolisher to the Thunderhawk, and drop it in on the top of the looted Imperator

The image this conjures is utterly hilarious.
>>
>....straight onto the Warboss's head, killing him instantly
>Orks across the battlefield in panic mode, killing each other to determine who the new Warboss will be
>Demolisher drives straight through a horde of grots towards the supply elevator down into the central sections of the Titan
>Busts through the doors of the cockpit firing wildly and damaging the internal command structure beyond repair
>The machine spirits are with the Guard now
>Orks and grots running everywhere, one jumps on top of the tank and tries to break the turret but gets a face full of lasgun fire before that can happen
>Demolisher technician jumps out of the vehicle and runs for the control panel
>Turns the Imperator towards another nearby looted titan and fires the vengeance cannon
>The enemy titan's right leg is blown clean off, and this gives imperial forces the signal to turn the tide
>Thunderhawks follow the first one's example and begin lifting tanks en masse and dropping them over enemy titans
>There's even a fucking Baneblade haphazardly tied between two transports
>One by one, the Ork titans fall, unable to properly deal with the onslaught of falling tanks
>Psykers across the galaxy throw up and pass out as Tzeentch's sides go into the super-warp over the sheer amount of Just as Planned
>After the battle, the techpriests of Discenus reclaim as many god-machines as the can, including the Imperator titan, which has been renamed "The Demolisher from the Heavens"
>To this day, the Hastanan 19th continues to use the strategy of "tank-dropping" to deadly effect
>>
