World Bearers would be a neat Loyalist chapter. Give them a vaguely Greek theme and make their Chapter icon Atlas holding up Holy Terra.

Give them a thing for defense and fortifications (Imperial Fists successors?) and they hold up worlds throughout conflict.

>>
>>53633371

Seems too on-the-nose for me. I mean, this is 40k, but at the very least we can try and do it one better. Most successor Chapters draw from at least one or two traditions plus some random influences to make their aesthetic. Of course, this is /tg/ and our Chapter names are so on-the-nose because we take after the Space Wolves apparently.

As for colorscheme, you could to white marble, giving them marbled patterns rather than a flat color, giving them an aesthetic of unpainted Greek statues. It would also harken back to the World Eater's pre-Heresy white colorscheme.
>>
>>53617449
Holy fuck.
>>
>>53633415
Yes. I imagine that they said that.

It just happened to end up sounding like Margaret Thatcher. In the 80s.
>>
>>53634226
I like where this is going. How about marble colored power shortswords and spears as weapons?
Also some red, yellow and blue trimming on some parts of the armor since temples and statues were painted with mainly those colors.
>>
>>53634443
Bronze colored*, fUCK.
Also how about we steal details and iconography from Achilles' Hephaestus-made armor from the Iliad? We could even make a nod to the myth by saying it's hinted to be of salamander origin or some shit like that.
>>
>>53634478
>"of salamander origin"
So it's a Blood Ravens successor chapter?
>>
>>53634443

Red, Yellow, and Blue can make for a childish colorscheme if used to much. You could instead do what they already do, and paint details that color; mostly shoulder trim and kneepads which denote rank and company.

As for weapons, we could incorporate a bronze theme into it as well, or wrought iron, but making everything marble is way too much. Maybe even gold for characters. Still, the aesthetic of antiquities and primitive metal would make for a good one, if the theme is kept consistent.

>>53634478

Could work with the hinted Salamander's origin, which also fits the theme of defense and protectiveness (World Bearers) after the Salamanders. I was thinking Imperial Fists because of their fortification specialty (if we go that direction at all) but Salamanders could work well. Might keep their true origins murky and have it only hinted so people can decide for themselves which rules they want to use.

How about geneseed mutations? Would this cause them to be black-skinned and red-eyed? Or would they have mutated this one out of their system, or reduced its overactivity and are now just excessively tan? Perhaps their geneseed is Chimeric, and contains elements of both Imperial Fist and Salamander geneseed, or maybe they hail from the Heresy from a company or character that didn't develop such a mutation.

>Nurgle
>stylized fidget spinner
>>
>>53619475
Nurgle is a fly/gas mask/biohazard-like symbol
>>
>>53634547
I was referring to the chapter masters armor, but i went full retard and didn't write WHOSE armor i was referring to (mainly as a nod to the fact that Vulkan is the roman equivalent to Hephaestus). And actually that could turn pretty fitting given their defensive nature like you said.
As per mutations, i don't know, since the Salamanders' skin mutation is a reaction to their Homeworlds enviroment i guess it would depend on the World Bearers own world.
>>
>>53634743
I guess the armor could be a present from their parent chapter?
>>
>>53634578
Guess all those tumors and mutations finally make sense.
>>
>>53634743

Could be their own world is relatively mild in climate, or has a much thicker atmosphere like the Dead Sea, which reduces their exposure to radioactivity. But, Space Marines being badasses it's probably also volcanic in a good few places and also a Deathworld filled with hostile flora and fauna.

>>53634763

Or a relic from an unnamed source, either gifted from another Chapter, mastercrafted by themselves, or acquired some other way for some reason. We could leave it all as mysterious as their potential Progenitors.

Hell, to throw people off the scent, we could have them working very strictly with the Codex Astartes and working on a somewhat stylized but otherwise similar system of government and organization to Macragge, though probably no more than a single planet and maybe a moon or two. So we have potential Imperial Fists, Salamanders, and Ultramarines influences to disguise their true lost origins. They could worship Primarch above all as some kind of great hero (who might be described as an amalgam of Heracles, Achilles, and Hephaestus references plus some stuff of his own), or directly venerate the Emperor to circumvent the lost knowledge of their founding.

Like: "Let None Fall", or "We Shall Hold"
