The Noosewoods are a dangerous place to travel through.
As you travel through it, you might not realize this at first. It seems relatively peaceful - no bandits, no goblin dens, no owlbears. But then you realize something - it's /too/ quiet. Boars aren't rooting through the underbrush, squirrels aren't scurrying through the branches, and not a single bird sings.
Then you see the bodies. Wrapped in webs and hung from branches like criminals on the gallows, faces still frozen in agonized screams, and moving in the wind like dead leaves. Cut one down, and you'll find that the body's dry - nothing more than a hollow husk of what was once a man.

Then the clicking starts.
It begins soft, quietly - you probably won't notice it for the better part of an hour at first. But you'll hear it soon enough: a rapid, high-pitched 'tic-tic-tic-tic-tic-tic,' like someone tapping the ends of two quills together. You can run, you can hide, but the clicking will follow. And as you run, it gets louder, louder, louder, until it is practically ringing in your ears.

And then it stops.

You sigh in relief, finally free of the horrible sound.

And then sharpened claws ensnare you like a rat in a trap, hollow talons digging into your skin and saturating your flesh with foul toxins. You won't even have time to scream.

The Noosewoods are a dangerous place to travel through. Its master just /loves/ it when new morsels come its way.

Like many abominations brought to life by underground labs and unethical lifecrafters, these creatures were originally designed as part of a scheme to harry the coastal towns and disrupt their fishing industries while sowing distrust in the merfolk communities nearby.

While they have the overall appearance of a shark they are amphibious but perfer to stay near water as long expousure outside of water causes the mucus lining on their skin to dry up. Similarly, excessive injury will also cause them to flee unless they are in a hunger frenzy brought on by scent of blood.

Now they have spread along the coastline and, being resiliant, have begun to breed threatening the local ecology of the area as well as humans and merfolk which has, ironicially created a new industry of hunting them and using their tough hides and razor sharp teeth.

Skrabs

The areas where the elemental planes of Air and Water meet the Material Plane are notorious for producing extremely strange species of animals, one of the most notable examples being sea creatures adapted for flight - a true example of magically-accelerated evolution. Among the most common of these volant marine creatures are skrabs - ubiquitous fluttering omnivores descended from crabs that move in great flocks of hundreds of millions.
These creatures range from the size of sparrows to as large as an eagle, and are known for eating virtually anything that they come across, from rotting carrion to leather boots. On the flip side, skrabs themselves taste quite good - like a mixture of pheasant and shrimp.

Glacierback

Immense lethargic sharks native to the frozen north, the glacierback is a colossal ambush predator with an unnaturally low body temperature, courtesy of their ice-cold blood. Floating at the surface of the water and allowing ice and snow to collect on their backs, the immense fish lie still as colonies of seals and penguins begin to beach themselves upon the 'iceberg,' then lunge out in a burst of motion, snapping up animals as they tumble into the water in a similar fashion to the crocodiles of the southern swamps.

Scorpiowolf

A lesser-known arcane crossbreed born from similar experiments to the ones that created the owlbear, the scorpiowolf actually looks fairly similar to its canine forefathers, save for its extra legs and eyes.

It is these extra limbs and eyes, however, that make scorpiohounds so useful - their smaller eyes can see into spectrums of light that humans cannot, while their larger pair of eyes can see through most illusions. Unsurprisingly, they're valued companions for adventurers, especially when going through ancient tombs and hunting fey creatures.

A fairly common nocturnal bird from the land of the fey, these magical cousins of the barn owl are named for the chillingly human laughing sounds that they make from their human-like mouths, which induce supernatural anxiety in listeners.

The most devoted worshippers of Beelzebub, Lord of the Flies are often rewarded in the form of sickening physical deformities - blood-draining proboscises, insectile wings, and chitinous claws. A hulking monstrosity that can stand taller than ogres, not counting the immense pulsating sac growing atop its back, and equipped with a set of massive pincers and long, powerful arms capable of smashing through stone walls, these nearly mindless abominations are almost totally mindless, just barely intelligent enough to receive and understand orders from their former fellow cultists. The massive sac atop their backs is filled with incredibly potent digestive enzymes - when ruptured or when the creature dies, the sac bursts apart in a blast of potent acid, a final strike against its opponents.

Crusher Crab

The deep caves of the Underdark are far from just winding tunnels and endless chasms. They are also host to ghostly fungus forests and sunless seas, the coasts of the latter being haunted by titanic vermin.

The massive pincers of the crusher crab can crush even massive boulders with ease, and its shell is strong enough to withstand blows from an ogre's club without a scratch. The smaller pair of pincers is used for more delicate manipulation like tearing apart prey items for easier consumption, as well as personal grooming.

Thousands of young crawl hide on the underbelly of their mother, dropping off like flaking skin at the appearance of food to feast like tiny armored piranhas.

The Marshlands King Drake.

It's head is big enough to eat a man whole, almost as if it was made for that purpose.
These vile creatures roam marshlands and savannas in search of prey. It eats more frequently than other reptilian creatures, a trait it shares with many other Drakes.
When hunting, it prefers to lie in ambush but will not shy away of pursuing prey if needed, it can run faster than a man but is not as fast as a horse.
It has a primitive but cunning intelect, and as human populations grew larger the creature found a new, easy prey in lone traveler and caravans.
Sometimes these creatures are found in groups of even 4, generally led by old alpha female.
King Drakes that grow alone tend to be more aggressive, even towards members of the same species, while the ones that grow in groups are less aggressive, but not less dangerous. A lone King Drake will charge madly at a caravan as soon as it is within it's reach while King Drakes that grew in a group will stalk the caravan and wait for the people to unmount their horses and only then it will charge them.
Aggressive and reckless or calm and cunning, both kinds are deadly.
