In response to this the 5th Espada jumps back several feet and raises his hand.
As the crimson light gathers in his hand he begins shouting.
"Take this you asshole!"

And in that moment as you spoke a surge of reiatsu washes over the blue haired arrancar.
Cold sweat appears on his forehead and he ceases charging the blast.
"You fire that thing and I'm cutting your arms off.

And in that exact moment the other members of the Espada make their appearance with Yata in tow.

He shrugs.

"Everyone, there was an explosion and several potentially dangerous substances were let loose.

As I am sure you are aware, Aaroniero's ability had certain drawbacks. Those drawbacks were slowly but surely degrading his mind. Without a change he'd have ended up insane, relegating him to be an attack dog much like Marr was, but without the benefit of his massive strength. He'd have been at best unstable, at worst a threat to everyone in the area. So I sought to fix the issue, and it was a success. The increase of strength was a happy side effect from getting his two psyches to reconcile.

Nnoitoras grin widens.
"Oh really?"

Nnoitora tightens his hold on Santa Teresa and begins walking to his opponent.
In a flash he charges Ulquiorra and tries to smash into him with his weapon.
The pale arrancar displays emotions for the first time and quickly draws his sword to block Santa Teresa.

Without any warnings Nnoitora unleashes a flurry of blows with quick succession.
Ulquiorra manages to block each of them with very straightforward motions.
After this quick exchange they disengage.

Nnoitora spits on the ground before speaking.
"Heh, at least you can tell when you are about to be messed up."
But Ulquiorra sheathes his weapon which doesn't amuse Nnoitora.
"What are you doing?"

"As I said before, this is pointless.
You are nothing more than a brute. With these attacks you'll never beat me."

With an angry shout Nnoitora charges Ulquiorra who simply starts dodging his blows.
None of the attacks manage to connect and this made Nnoitora quite furious.
"Stop prancing around you bastard!"

It's quite a sorry sight as one arrancar keeps flaying around with his weapon while the other keeps avoiding him.
Eventually however even Ulquiorra gets bored.
"Master Aizen, may I kill him?"

Aizen also seems to be less than thrilled about all this.
"Do whatever you wish but try not killing him Ulquiorra."

And as if he just heard the magic word the white skinned arrancar draws his sword once more.
Without wasting a second he manages to side step an overhead blow and delivers a horizontal cut to Nnoitoras chest.
But just as the blade makes contact it simply bounces off of the intended target.

Everyones eyes are wide and you could feel the awkwardness of the whole situation.
Nnoitora however breaks the silence with a howling laughter.
"What was THAT?
And you were talking shit about me?"
In that moment Nnoitora lets go of Santa Teresa and the huge hunk of metal falls to the ground.
He spreads his arms, welcoming Ulquiorra.
"Come on! I'm giving you another shot!
Hit me as hard as you can!"

Ulquiorra frowns and grabs hold of his sword with both hands.
With a forward thrust he attempts to stab Nnoitora in the heart but his blade screeches to a halt after hitting Nnoitoras híerro.
Nnoitoras smile widens greatly.

"Can't even scratch me huh?"
After another laugh he simply raises his hand.
"I give up. He wins."

The crowd goes silent.
Their reigning champion just forfeited a match.

You give a passing glance to Aizen who seems to be less than satisfied.
"I guess I overestimated his potential."
He mutters to himself.

But your guess is that he simply underestimated Nnoitora.
The two of them are more or less equal in fighting prowess but in different categories.
Their fight would drag out forever with one being too fast the other being too strong.
It's more of a draw really.

Once the 4 pillars and the wall was finished your dream of creating a hanging garden was finally reality.
In addition to that you finalized the training of both the army and the exequias, making both of them quite fierce units.

Most of your time was spent trying to crack the "Segunda Etapa nut" with the aid of Yata and Aaroniero without much luck.
The whole process is quite difficult and Yatas examinations though useful, didn't reveal anything regarding the requirements for achieving it.
No matter how frustrated you got or how much you tried you couldn't make the breakthrough.

On one faithful night of heavy drinking with Starrk at the local tavern Aaroniero dragged you away to aid you in your endeavors.
After trying everything it was clear that the only thing you could do to hasten the process is to fight against him without holding anything back.
The problem with that was finding a place remote enough that nobody notices the equivalent of two nukes going off at the same time.
He took you to the ruins of Negal, apparently one of the VERY few places that remained after Baraggan devastated Hueco Mundo.

Nobody knows why but most hollows avoid the place as if it was cursed and even you got a bad feeling upon getting closer to it.
Your guess is that either it was a very holy site for the primordial hollows or the most forbidden place ever.

For seven days and seven nights you fought Aaroniero in his Segunda Etapa.
The fight itself was like ramming your head into a brick wall over and over again, hoping the wall would crumble after a while.
When it was all over you laid there broken and exhausted.
Aaroniero simply stood over you with a pitying look on his face.
That's when it happened.

The floor beneath you began to crack.
These ruins were mighty sturdy but after a weeks stress they finally caved in.
After falling for several moments you hit the ground hard.

There you were, in a pitch black void which you thought to be under even the forest of menos.
That same uneasy feeling you had now clouded your mind, demanding you to leave.
But with a weakened body you couldn't.

In a realm parallel to this one twenty years ago:
46 men have gathered in a room.
These influential individuals have authority over all others in this realm.
Nothing can happen without their consent.

Them appearing as such brings unease to the members of the Gotei 13.
But it is unavoidable, for the guilty must be punished.
Indeed it is their task to punish those that break the rules which were set for them by these 40 wise men.

The first of the six judges speak up, hidden behind his plaque.
"Now that all of us are here we shall begin the prosecution."
The man flips through his papers for a moment then proceeds with his speech.
"Captain Unohana."

From out of the shadows steps forth Unohana Retsu, captain of the fourth squad of the Gotei 13.
"Present, your Honor."
She speaks with her usual, calm tone.
Her expression is plain in accordance to the serious nature of the situation.

"According to these reports the one who arrested the accused was Captain Zaraki Kenpachi of the 11th division.
Care to explain why are you present in his stead?"

She bows slightly.
"Yes, your honor.
It is true that the aforementioned Captain was the one who captured this individual.
However, Captain Zaraki hasn't recovered yet from his engagement and won't be able to return to his tasks for another week.
As such I act as his substitute for that duration."

The room goes quiet, an odd occurrence within the halls of Central 46.
Zaraki Kenpachi is widely known as a force of nature.
Him being bed ridden by someone is unthinkable.

It is the second of the six judges who resume.
"V-very well Captain.
Bring in the accused."

From the shadows four members of the Onmitsukidō bring in a man chained and strapped to a chair.
The restrains make quite a lot of noise as the criminal is brought to the Central 46' attention.
There are many audible gasps at the obscene amount of safety measures the onmitsu have taken with this man.

One of the wisemen, a woman speaks up.
"Why is his mouth caged as well?"

The captain answers.
"We found it to be necessary, your Excellency.
One of the onmitsu members lost two fingers during transport.
We never found the digits so the assistance of Captain Kurotsuchis new experimental medicine, the Hojiku-Zai to mend his injuries."

People begin to whisper to one another and in response to that one of the judges silence them.
"Order my colleagues, order!"
He shouts to his fellows.
"Now guards! Remove the restraints from the mouth of the accused so we can proceed as dictated by protocol!"

One of the onmitsu members nervously steps forward and slowly releases the seals that were put on the man.
He quickly pulls his fingers back however as the man chomps the air the moment he is free of his bondage.
There is a moment of utter silence after this event with only the lucky onmitsu members panting making any noise.
It's quite a frightening sight when one of the more seasoned members of the onmitsus Detention unit exhibits fear in the face of a criminal.

With a deep, bellowing chuckle the restrained man breaks the silence.
"Ahhh...
Sorry about that it's just that I felt my jaws going numb.
Now come here, I promise I won't do it again..."

However the burly man is cut off by the third judge.
"SILENCE!
You are standing before the Central 46! You may only speak when spoken to!
Now before we begin your prosecution.
What is your name?"

The man looks at the judge with his ferocious eyes.
"I ain't got one..."

"Then you shall be judged as such nameless one.
You are here for the following crimes:
-Theft
-Murder
-Terrorism
-Vandalism
-Attacking a Captain of the Gotei 13
-Assault and murder of nobility
-Treason
-Cannibalism
We have acquired sufficient evidence to undeniably support each of these claims.
In addition we have over a hundred eye witnesses who described in great detail each of these crimes.

In that moment as the words left the judges mouth the accused man begins leaning forward in his chair.
The sound of cloth and leather being strained to the brink of snapping can be heard throughout the room.
His chains clatter against each other and the members of the Onmitsukido step forth preparing for the incoming snap of the seals.
The convict speaks up.

"You? Judging me?
HAH! That's a good one!"
He exhales and in that moment something in his eyes change, suddenly a chill runs down almost everyones spines in the room.
"But let me tell you this...
You'd better start prayin' to all the gods and demons you fear and worship that I'll die.
Because if I won't... well, let's just say that you can just kill yourselves and Every. Single. one of your relatives.
Because Imma go lookin' and I won't stop until I rape, murder and eat them all in front of you.
Not necessarily in that order."

I MEAN DAMN!"

"It'd be in your best interest to shut your mouth."

The man slowly sits back into his chair and his restrains are relieved of the tension.

But damn you just made me realize how pathetic you shinigami are.

At this moment the last two judges finally snap.
"THAT'S IT!
We hereby change your sentence to imprisonment in the Eight Underground Prison, Muken.
For the rest of eternity or the day of your death, whichever comes first!"

This was the first day in the history of Soul Society that a man was sent to Muken while laughing.

I guess I oughta start following since I've been here a while.

so a few questions for someone playing catch up. Did we ever divide our army based on their abilities like we planned or is it still just range guys in group A and non ranged guys in group B?

It hasn't really been mentioned that I noticed since we took control of spirt Mexico.

Also going through the social links should we do anything with Wang Lan? We haven't really done anything with her since we first joined Aizen and she still seems kinda like a mess.
